Had lunch with a friend. Even though we ordered different chicken dishes, they looked very similar. Both were delicious! We had more food than we could eat and took to-go boxes. Servings are very generous. Most lunch entrees are $8.50. I've eaten here a number of times and have never been disappointed. Service is fast and efficient.

Better ambiance than many Thai alternatives with a dimly lit, quiet dining room worthy of date night. Attentive service. I've sampled a good number of dishes and not one makes me want to have it again or recommend it to others. Ingredients seem fresh but many dishes are quite bland. Spicy fried rice has flavorless overcooked pork. Green curry is very watery. Pad thai tastes a little like they added ketchup for tomato flavor, Coconut chicken soup is okay. For the location, it is one of the better choices compared to neighboring options near that intersection.

This is a great place to meet friends and have a really nice lunch. Food is always very good and atmosphere is conducive to visiting with each other.

We ate here while on vacation. There were plenty of choices for my vegetarian wife and our meals were delicious. The Satay beef might be the best I ever had cooked and spiced perfectly with a hint of charcoal. I had the Spicy Seafood noodles for an entree and loved it. Huge portions, really nice atmosphere and our waiter was really charming and attentive.

Visited with a party of 6 and was greeted immediately and seated quickly. The wait staff of attentive especially taking notice to keep our drinks full. Food was plentiful and flavorful. When we are finished we were given the check promptly but with space to sit and chat as long as we wanted. Our leftovers were neatly boxed. Very pleasant experience. Thanks.

The food was the best Thai food I've had, the service was polite, accommodating, and speedy, and the decor was Decaturish industrial mixed with modern - very nice. Now the details. I'm not a Thai food connoisseur, and I've never eaten at a fancy Thai restaurant; but this was a very, very solid meal. Definitely the best Thai food I've had at restaurants with entrees in the $10-20 range. I had the panang curry with chicken. The sauce was deep and flavorful. And the rice was perfectly cooked. The restaurant looks like a generic strip mall restaurant from the outside. But inside, it's a mix between Decaturish industrial, refined American, and Thai/Malaysian (I assume that last piece...heck, maybe it's not, but if you don't know any better, like me, then that's how you will probably feel). Furthermore, the staff made us feel like we were at a 5-star restaurant. Polite to an extreme. Just a great experience, end to end.

Wonderful experience. The veggies and chicken was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent and professional.

The veggie fried rice with tofu is delicious! Food is always fresh and cooked to order. Relaxing atmosphere, great ambience.

We were visiting Atlanta with friends, and we decided to look for some authentic Thai food. We stumbled across this gem after doing a quick internet search, and we were not disappointed. The staff was warm and welcoming, the decor was inviting, and the food was exceptional. We ordered so many different appetizers, that were all delicious, and main courses, that were spot on, that there weren't any dissatisfied diners at the table. The will even modify what is on the menu to suit your taste. Overall wonderful experience with family and friends. Will definitely put it on the list of restaurants to return to when in Atlanta.

Worst Thai food I’ve ever had. Service was terrible, and the food came out extremely slow. We waited over an hour for our food and it was undercooked.

This is one of the best restaurants we've ever been at. Me and my husband have been coming here for over 5 years and it just gets better :-)))

I've eaten here for lunch and dinner, and the menu items are similar if not the same, and they're all usually pretty good (not excellent). I went with a group of 8 ladies for lunch, and the price was about half what it is at dinnertime. With no drink, my lunch tab was $8.25 plus tip, which was added in because we were a group larger than 6, but I added a bit more because the tip was less than 20% and the service was good. Since the Publix has opened in this shopping center near this restaurant, parking is difficult.

Start with the positives: beautiful decor, friendly service. The food though, ultimately bland. I have been to M’sia and S’pore a couple times, so I’m no Malay cuisine expert, but bland is not the word I would use to describe Malay food. I didn’t try the Thai food.

This is a great place for lunch, they never disappoint. I worked close by and the meal and service is top notched.

I have been here a few times and enjoy the variety of dishes they offer. It is not the best thai food I have had, but still enjoyable

At my first visit to any Thai restaurant, I always try the Pad Thai, to see how they do what is undeniably the national dish. YUM! Best Pad Thai in any Thai restaurant in any city I have visited! But there's more! We had the Spicy Hot and Sour Shrimp Soup (Amazing beyond words. Wish we could have had a quart of it!). Thai basil roll (okay but not amazing). Also the Pad Thai and Chicken Fried Rice (best ever!). Now I want to go back and try everything on the menu! Sooooo Good! Was the first time, but won't be the last! My new fave in the North Driud Hills part of ATL! Oh, and beautiful decor, awesome atmosphere. Great date night. Thank you!

We did take out. We ordered the masaman chicken curry, the coconut chicken soup, and spring rolls. They were fast and it was wonderful. We did two orders of the masaman (one spicy, one regular) and had so much left over, it would have fed four adults. Such good food!

I recently visited this place with my family for the first time. We were really impressed with the quality of the food. We had ordered vegetarian food, appetizers and mason course.. This is the best Thai food I have had in the long time.We will definitely be visiting this place again whenever we are in the area. Prices are very reasonable and excellent service. I would definitely recommend others to try this place.

I love their Masaman Tofu and potatoes! They have many vegetarian choices. Always good service, and don't pass up the mango sticky rice for dessert when it's available. So delicious.

The worst Thai food I have ever eaten anywhere. Huge pieces if half raw vegetables in a tasteless sause. This food was Not good at all!

Came here with several work colleagues for a lunch discussion and the staff was efficient, food was tasty, and the price very reasonable. www.topspiceatlanta.com Had the spicy catfish dish and the portion was generous. Came with plenty of rice and a side of delicious soup. Plenty of vegetarian and fish selections for non-meat eaters. My colleagues had a variety of other dishes and everyone was pleased with their selection. Spice calibration noted and accurate. Plenty of parking. Not a scenic setting, beign located in the Toco Hill shopping center, but the interior is well done. They will deliver to a limited area. Sun-Thurs. 11 AM - 10 PM, Fri & Sat 11 AM-10:30 PM Hadn't been here in a long time and will have to increase my visits. Please note if you consider this a helpful review.

Thanks to Trip Advisor for leading us here. After a 2-1/2 hour drive, my family was ready for a great meal. Top Spice delivered. We asked for extra plates, and dished out each serving "family style". I have two children: one who loves spice and one who does not. Both loved, loved, loved the squid in the Malaysian noodle dish: Penang Char Kway Teow. My wife said that as Pad Thai dishes go, this one from Top Spice was unusually good; better than the rest (we had ours with shrimp). The Kari Ayam Kering (Malaysian Curry with chicken and potatoes) was my wife's favorite. I liked the Chicken Rendang. It had a distinctive and good flavor. All were served with steamed rice. The restaurant was dimly lit with dark wood furniture. An ornately presented selection of spices were "under glass" on the tabletop. My family can not wait to go back and try other dishes. Though we love what we had, we feel that we have yet to touch the surface of what Top Spice has to offer. Thank you Trip Advisor for leading us here.

Went with a large group, and had excellent Thai food with prompt, accurate service. Very friendly and helpful wait-staff. Clean. Nice Thai ambiance inside, even though you're dining in a strip mall. Recommend lunch for better deals/value. Had masaman with tofu, avocado, cashew, and potato....incredible. Also, very good coconut soup with lunch items. The non-vegetarians in the group all seemed to enjoy their choices, as well. If you're a fan of Surin in Birmingham or Huntsville, AL, you'll love this place! Will definitely return the next time I'm in ATL near Emory or on the NE side!

The Buah Mango Tofu dish is spicy, sweet, and always perfectly cooked. I order it every time! The service and atmosphere are great. I always take out of town guests here.

I am original from Africa and love spicy foods. I have eaten at this location twice since I was introduced. Servers smile and welcome you like a good friend. I will go back again.

Truly enjoyed the food. Staff members were very attentive, courteous and efficient. The restaurant had a great atmosphere.

The restaurant is clean and provides a great atmosphere with courteous attentive service. We had the lunch special, 20 interesting selections from the menu, including pork, chicken, beef, shrimp and squid. Really there was something for everyone. We all selected their coconut soup for an appetizer. Prices were very reasonable; $8.50-$9.25 was the range.

Restaurant and restrooms were clean and in good repair. Service was excellent and very attentive. We ordered the beef spicy basil, chicken spicy basil, fried wontons and had tai iced tea. The food was delicious and served quickly. One of the best tai restaurants I have busted in s long time!

At first glance the exterior of this restaurant isn't wildly appealing, or remotely indicative of what waits for you inside...the calming atmosphere (yet full restaurant!), the exotic smells, the friendly servers and the wonderful decor...WOW!! We went for lunch last Friday and we are still talking about it! From the minute the coconut milk soup arrived at the table (might I just add another WOW here~one of the best soups I have ever had~I could have bathed in it!!) we enjoyed every morsel and every minute! I almost didn't want to write this because I still want to be able to get a table whenever I want a table and, that, will be often!!

We have been regular customers at the Top Spice Toco Hills location for over a decade. Simply the best vegetarian items we have had at any Thai/Malaysian restaurant in Atlanta. Here are our go-to items: Appetizers: * Thai Salad * Buah Mango Tofu (even though it is an entree, we order it as an appetizer) * Samosa Curry Roll Entrees: * Kari Sayur Campur (hands down the best dish) * Prik Khing Tofu (haven't found a better version at any other Thai restaurant in Atlanta) * Pad See-U with tofu and egg (ask for no fish sauce) * Spicy Veggie & Tofu (ask for fish sauce) Enjoy!

Staying in Atlanta on a business trip I was craving Thai food for dinner. Luckily I was staying right down the road from top spice. The atmosphere was relaxing and unique, the food and service was excellent. Price wise, by myself (with 2 drinks) and full meal was under $25.00. Great value, service and food.

BEWARE of Hair in the Chicken curry. We ordered 4 extra pieces of plain roti in addition to the Roti Canai prior to finding the hair in the curry that I pulled out of my mouth! It was beyond nauseating! The server told the owner and I noticed his hand making a waving gesture as though telling her "Don't bother" and they still charged for the gravy. I can understand accidents happen. ***But if that is his attitude towards improper FOOD SAFETY, then nothing else in my review matters. Eat at your own risk.

We always order the Panang curry or the Panang curry sauce with rice. The Panang is so utterly addictive that we keep going back and are afraid to try anything else for fear it won’t be just as perfect. Therefore, we can only recommend the Panang, but we can add that the waitstaff is consistently excellent as well!

We are a Malaysian/American couple who travel to and entertain visitors from Malaysia. We really enjoyed the food (choice of hotness) and menu choices - although this is a bit of a drive for us it is destined to become one of our favorites. Our server Alan was properly attentive and knowledgeable of the menu and food preparation. The only concern was the cost of bottled wine, for us it was a little high.

Food exceptional is the report from everyone at the table. Very reasonable pricing, interesting choices, great quality. Can become a bit noisy but not unreasonable.

I love Top Spice. It's my favorite asian restaurant in Atlanta. The lunch portions are quite large and come with soup. Dinner is not as much of a steal but the menu is much larger and the portions huge. I highly recommend the Massaman Curry and the Char Kway Teow. The Coconut Soup is very good.

I had the Kari Sayur Kampur; it was great! My friend had the mixed veggies in brown sauce; it was a plentiful portion that looked very fresh and flavorful. We shared the basil lettuce wraps, which were the best ones that I've tried compared to other Thai/Malaysian restaurants. The atmosphere was cozy and quiet, the service was attentive and un-intrusive, the food was of good quality, and I left happy... What more can one ask for? :)

After a day of Grandchild monitoring my wife needed a quick and good dinner and top spice filled the bill at their Toco Hills center location. At 7PM the restaurant was not all that full for a Monday night and the decor was soft lighting on dark teak furnishings including a spice display inside the table top of each booth. We ordered the basil rolls and spring rolls both excellant as a starter followed by Thai Shrimp and noodles and Lad Na shrimp and flat noodles in gravy with broccoli. Both dishes were filling, well prepared and mildly spiced. We did not order any alcohol but noted that the corkage for personal wines was reasonable.

We celebrated a birthday, lunchtime, and we shared three dishes, all of which were exquisitely delicious! Large, generous portions but such interesting flavors! A curry dish and a wide noodle dish were scrumptious! Highly recommend!

Top Spice is an excellent, authentic Thai restaurant with a beautiful menu. The food is superb and beautifully presented. 5/5. Service: prompt, helpful and courteous, 5/5. Decor: Beautiful, spacious, and quiet but busy restaurant. The men's restroom was immaculately clean but the urinal was out of order. There were cloth napkins on the place settings, 4.5/5. Value: $-$$ 5/5. Would we return? Absolutely!

Went there for lunch and ordered Tofu friend vegetable rice. There were 2 pieces of Tofu, and the waitress said that's all. Taste wise it was average and they got us a wrong order as they are fast. Worth a try.

Good Thai food with a wonderful use of spices. In the Toco Hills neighborhood near Emory, the CDC, and VA. We get the carry out sometimes and order tofu to rep ace meat in some of the dishes. The chef always makes substitutes.

Everything about this restaurant was excellent. We had the Thai Spring Rolls and Fresh Basil Rolls as appetizers. They were fresh and accompanied by wonderful dipping sauces. Our drinks were large and creative. Our party had a variety of dishes which we shared, from duck curry to sea bass. Each dish was flavorful and fresh. The staff was more than accommodating from the time we walked in the door until we left. Overall a very relaxing and refreshing dining experience.

Delicious chicken masman and coconut soup! Always consistenly good food. Great place for social and business lunches and dinners.

The ambiance is very nice. Great food. Loved the Pad Thai and the mango sticky rice was awesome. Friendly and fast service. The waiter was very attentive. Great meal.

We were in Atlanta for a conference and were staying downtown. We were craving thai food and elected to make the trip out by taxi and they took the bus/marti home. It was worth the trip. The food and service were excellent. We both had one of the curry dishes and it was very good. We had green tea ice cream for desert which was very good as well. Would eat here again and look forward to returning here.

I did not have Malaysian food for a long time and could not resist when I discovered Top Spice. It brings back memories from my visit to Penang. I went there with my family. We started of with some Appetizers. Samosas, Spring Rolls and Roti Canai. Our main courses were Beef Rendang, Fried Rice, Penang Curry and Daging Nyonya. The price is reasonable at lunch time and the deco is very nice. Who would have expected such a gem hidden in a strip mall

We have been there twice and have not been disappointed. Great selection on the menu and made exquisitely. Very nice atmosphere and great wait staff!

Top Spice is the top Thai restuarant in Atlanta for me. The service is fast paced and the food is delicious. The coconut soup and roti canai are my favorite starters. The soup has a hint of lemon, mushrooms, and chicken. The roti canai comes with a flavorful soup with potatoes and chicken. The Thai spagahetti is wonderful and the spicy vegetables with shrimp is the best. Just don't ask to substitute the white rice for fried rice...they want do it. You have to buy an order of fried rice. Take out is availabe as well. I highly recommend Top Spice if you like Thai food.

We visited on a Saturday Night and it was busy but didn't have to wait. Our table had several different items to test and everything was excellent. The lamb, shrimp, and chicken dishes were all excellent. This is close to gourmet food at family prices. I highly recommend this restaurant!

We stopped by to have lunch there. Prices were reasonable. The food was gooddd. I had beef rendang and my husband had fish of some variety. We both were satisfied with the taste. The atmosphere was definitely on a upper scale restaurant, cozy, and romantic. The service was fine.

I love this place. I have dined at both locations and they have not disappointed at neither. I ordered the roti canai with a small cup curry chicken and spicy lettuce chicken wraps. My husband ordered vegetable fried rice and spicy bacon wraps. The food looked amazing and the portions were hefty for lunch items. The service was good and the server was attentive. My husband did not enjoy the bacon wraps he said they tasted like fried bologna😂. However, he really enjoyed the other dishes that we ordered. If you are in the neighborhood and you are craving Thai, go to Top Spice!!!

We go to Top Spice in Toco Hills frequently, and have always had enjoyed it - until last night. The food and drinks (Mai tais to die for) were good, but as we were finishing our meal, after just an hour, the staff kept commenting every minute or so behind me - a little too loud - that our table for six would be ready for another party soon. Before I even could suggest we move on, they took our glasses and asked us to leave. Honestly, we had lingered only a few minutes. I tried to talk to the assistant manager, but he just smile and turned away. As we walked out there were quite a few people waiting. We were smart enough to get there early, before the crowds, but we were the ones who felt the heat to hurry up and leave! I'll learn how to make mai tais at home. We won't be back, and if you fee like you need to try Top Spice at Toco Hills, I'd really caution against doing it on a weekend when they

This place was highly recommended by our hotel desk clerk. The place is beautifully decorated, the food was amazing (and very inexpensive) and the service was outstanding. The majority of our group had never tried Thai food so it was a positive first time experience for many.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times and I've never been dissatisfied. Prices are moderate and the food is very good. They offer a dual menu with both Tai and Malaysian dishes. The standard fare such as Tom Ka (chicken coconut soup) and Satay beef or chicken are excellent. For entrees, I really like their Spicy Basil Beef, Garlic Pad Prik Pork, and Masaman Curry with Chicken. They offer specials which are worth trying, too. The ambience is relaxing and dark. Families do bring kids sometimes, but I wouldn't say it's a particularly family-friendly restaurant because of the mostly spicy food, dark interior, and relatively closely spaced seating which doesn't make it well suited for loud toddlers. Regardless, this is a good restaurant that used to be a secret among a few of us who lived in the area, but over the last few years, it's become very popular. Expect long waits during prime dinner times now...

My husband and I took a taxi from downtown Atlanta to try Top Spice and it was worth it. We went for lunch on our last Sunday in town. The atmosphere was understated, very cool and relaxing. The service was great and cheerful. We ordered the fresh basil rolls to start and they were refreshing and delicious. For our lunch entrees we had the Masaman Curry with chicken and the Panang Curry with chicken--which comes with a choice of coconut soup or veggie soup. We both had the coconut soup which was excellent. Both currys were very, very good. They had excellent thai flavor of layered spices and fresh herbs. The Masaman had a brilliant nutty/ cashew flavor with roasted cashews on top. The Panang had just the right amount of heat- a bit of a kick- but not too much to offend your senses. The portions were huge- actually 2 people could share one bowl, but the prices are so afforable it would be embarrassing for two people to order just one. To make the meal complete we ordered the house made green tea ice cream...to our delight and surprise the serving was 3 scoops in an ice cream Sunday bowl complete with a cherry and wafer cookie. I think our final bill was under 35$. Thai Joy!

We have dined at most of the better known Thai restaurants in Atlanta (Tamarind Seed, Nan Thai, Surin, etc.), and this establishment ranks right up there with some of the best when it comes to food quality. We sampled noodle dishes and non-noodle dishes, spicy and non-spicy, and everything was quite tasty all the way around. Spicy Seafood Noodles was worth ordering again and the Cashew Chicken had an excellent sauce. The noise level gets pretty high on a weekend, but not any noisier than we've experienced at Surin. I'm sure we'll check out the Akers Mill location next.

delicious, nutritious! My daughter recommended Top Spice . The food is different from typical restaurant food - fresher, more vegetabley. Lots of choices - specifically the coconut chicken soup is very tasty, asis the Stir Fry beef and veggie mix.

We dined at Top Spice this past Saturday. They have a very nice decor and our servers were very prompt and professional. My wife had the Phud Thai, and I had the fried catfish in a Thai sauce. Both were excellent with the right amount of spices. They also have a great selection of Asian beers. Everything was hot, well presented and fresh. We will definitely go back there the next time we are in the Atl

Top Spice is always on my list whenever I crave for Thai and Malaysian. Went again last Sunday for lunch. The Roti Canai and samosas were delicious. Loved the cat fish curry and penang beef curry. So also the spicy chicken fried rice. And the the creme brulee sealed the deal! Yum yum! I love Top Spice!

I have been going here for years and they have maintained the quality and taste as it was the very first time. Staff is friendly as well.

Have been here a few times when visiting family in Atlanta. We always go here with a larger group and always get good service. Their food is consistently good, I wouldn't say great. There is a large selection on the menu and everyone in our group always finds something they like to eat. On our last visit I was a little disappointed that the chicken in my dish seemed to be a little dried out. My sister really likes their Chocolate Martinis and my wife enjoys their plum wine. All in all, this is a place we return to for good Thai food.

Had a business meeting here and was excited since my wife does not eat Thai food and I like spicy food. Had the lunch special that included soup, salad, and chicken/rice bowl. Had the spicy chicken that was very good. Other two with me had a non spicy dish that was good as well. Service was very good and as I was leaving I was thanked and to please come back soon.

It used to be much better restaurant. I last visited with my family in Feb 2020. I have been here before couple of times in 2017 and 2019. My first issue is with indifferent attitude of the staff towards customer problems. There could be bad management in play. One of the dish ordered was made every spicy and when we told the server lady her response was this is what you ordered and she can't do anything. We were shocked as I have been to some restaurants where they will do whatever they can to make our experience great. Also when we visited they were out of tap water maybe because of county water issue and had water bottles were being sold at regular menu price. As a good customer service they can sell water at the cost to them or for free. They probably get it from a wholesale store and we know those cost 25c or less. There staff is actually running between aisles as they are overworked and are handling too many tables at the same time. In last visit the server even forget to take credit card out of the card machine. As I always double check my wallet or I would have lost it at the restaurant. Since my last visit overall taste and quality is way down and that coupled with bad customer service makes it waste of time, & money. Go at your own risk.

Dinner recently with a friend. The coconut chicken soup was an excellent choice as a starter. I had the masaman curry chicken for my entre and it was very tasty. The masaman was cooked to perfection and just the right amount of spices. The service was very attentive by the wait staff.

The rendang was excellent, chicken coconut soup had the right amount of coconut, the Penang Char Kway Teow wasn't like the authentic sort that one gets in Penang but it will do if you are really craving for comfort food, Marta Bak was so tasty but the portion was only enough for one person. The Masaman Curry Chicken could have been better, it tasted more coconut than curry. Overall I enjoyed the food here but please be warned that the waiter service is really below par. They provide catering and delivery too. Ample of parking spaces available.

We were in Atlanta with a friend's family to visit Stone Mountain, Georgia Aquarium and Botanical Garden. We were looking for something new and authentic food to try. It was approximately 20 min away from our hotel. Parking was in front of the restaurant. Waiting time was not too long. Most of the tables were full and the room was filled with good aroma of the food cooked. Our waitress was courteous and attentive. We did ordered a whole bunch of different foods. The satay was tender. The octopus-salad was tasty. Love the spicy seafood soup. It was full of spices and flavor. My favorite was the lamb, it was cooked with perfection. The pad Thai was tasty. The noise level was average. They have a big menu to choose from. The decoration was nice. We really enjoyed our dinner with our friends and had a great time. We were too full and happy . I recommend this restaurant highly and definitely will come back to try other items.

This Thai restaurant is well established and draws large crowds for lunch during weekdays and at dinner during the weekend. My favorite is the catfish. My wife is a vegetarian and likes their tofu dishes. The best bargain is their lunch combo which provides a soup and a main course.

On our way to Emory, we found this gem. Waitstaff was attentive and efficient. Everything we ordered was delicious. Appreciated the range of spiciness. nice atmosphere with cool tables with spices on display. Our waitress helped us identify the spices. Wish this was there when I went to Emory decades ago - but, I wouldn't have been able to afford it!

Food is normally really good here. Generous portions too. Unfortunately, tonight I ordered takeout and was given a fried bread bowl (came with Putri Bowl) that was moldy. Additionally, my $20 entree was unimpressive in size, unlike in the past.

The rush hour Atlanta traffic was terrifying and the drive was worth the effort. My wife and I recently dined here. Everyhting we had was great. We had chicken coconut soup, then red curry with shrimp and salmon curry.

Second time visiting Top Spice in the Toco Hills Shopping Center. A little disappointed at the service, and the food, other than the spring rolls which are delicious. A salad was served in a curved bowl that made it difficult to cut up contents (tomatoes, cucumbers, eggs) without spilling contents. The bowls of soup were small, and the service was slow. I went to the counter and ask for water refills and two other items because the waiter was too busy to acknowledge my waving for attention.

I highly recommend the 'Buah Mango Tofu' which is kind of their signature dish, hard to find anywhere else. Service is good too.

I found this on Yelp, and took the suggestion to try the coconut chicken soup. it was excellent! The Pad See-U was pretty good, shrimp seemed a bit tough, and lots of noodles. I'd try it again tho.

I have been enjoying Thai for decades and this place surprised me. Each dish had a new and surprising twist that I had not encountered before. I highly recommend Top Spice Thai!

This used to be a regular go-to spot to take friends, family and to stop by on the way home for take-out. Unfortunately the last several visits have left us decidedly disappointed. Although the restaurant was only half-full last evening the service was slow, food was served cold and we needed to flag down someone who was not our waiter to get our drinks refilled and to to take our money. The taste of the food itself was not pleasant (probably would not have been even at the correct temperature).

Excellent basil rolls. Sublime Prikh King (sp?) tofu. Very good Tofu Red Curry. Tsing Tao. Good, understated, polite service. My only complaint? My beer glass was not chilled.

We were visiting Atlanta and we searched up Malaysian food places. We chose his restaurant because it was highly rated on Yelp and Tripadvisor. I am guessing most of the reviewers do not know what Malaysian food is. I am always generous with my stars. This is the first time I am giving a single star. I'd give half if the option is available. First "warning" was when I was reading the menu. I couldn't recognize anything that yells out "Malaysia food". We ended up ordering chicken satay, mixed vegetable something, sambal shrimp, Penang char kway teow and green curry (the only Thai dish). Verdict: the Penang char kway teow had the wrong type of flat rice noodles. Well, I thought maybe that's because they couldn't get the original type. Maybe the taste will make up for it.… I was wrong! Had very little semblance to the original CKT taste. Satay skewers were HUGE. Had a slight tinge that would remind you that you were eating satay. The peanut sauce didn't taste like it had peanut in it (I may be wrong though). The mix vegetable was a total disappointment. The shrimp was OK. The green curry had a different shade of green. Taste was off. Almost every dish had green peppers in them. Mix veg, shrimp and green curry. Really??? I wouldn't advise any Malaysian hankering for Malaysian food to eat here. Sorry.

If you like Thai Food this is a great place to go. I loved it!!!!!

This place has decent south east asian food. Being from Singapore, i know what to expect, and didn't know you could Americanise south east asian food like this. More authentic? - Buford.

When I'm in the area this is where I lunch. The food is always good and I'ts usually not crowded. I always order the red curry chicken. One day I will get adventurous and order something else but I just luv red curry. The atmosphere is very quiet and serene and even a bit romantic. This restaurant is tucked away at the side of a mall and can be easily overlooked. The service is excellent and the staff very professional..

I have been eating a lot of thai food recently and personally found the place just ok .. I ordered the Spicy fried with chicken and asked them if they could do small pieces of chicken and to my surprise they refused. Anyways, the food was ok , not the best thai food i had.

I went with my daughter before a concert at the Cobb Energy Center. She had Pad Thai and I had Spicy Fried Rice with Chicken! Both were excellent. We will return!

Hint: This is the same owner as Food Terminal and Sweet Hut, both on Buford Hwy. Parking: May be hard to find a parking space and may have to walk some. Several restaurants, businesses, and a grocery store all vying for parking. Decor: Inside is beautiful, but a little dark. I like that....tables are pretty with inserts of dried spices. Nice touches! Food: Some items are spicier than others...watch the red peppers. Lunch menu has many good choices. Our fav was the honey shrimp and the coconut soup. Service: Excellent I really like this place and a cut above many Asian places. This is a nice sit down restaurant, not a fast food place.

The food has many different ranges and it is always good. I've always been impressed and their decor is very nice. There are spices in glass on the table, just adding to the great decor. I'd say. DO NOT go on a weekend, as they will give you the little buzzer things and it might happen to take, oh, 6 hours, or so. Not literally... but.... you know what I'm saying. Really good food, order the Pad Thai, Green Curry, or Fried Rice with beef. Really good, overall.

Enjoyed the tofu and vegies in Red Thai sauce for lunch. Asked for level 3 hotness and it was delicious! Nice atmosphere.

Travel to Atlanta quite a bit for work. This is a restaurant we frequent each time we come due to the price and amount of food for the price. Can usually end up getting 2 meals out of one entree. I love spicy food; you can order spice from 1-10.

We went to Top Spice for lunch on a weekday in early July during our visit to Atlanta. The restaurant is located in a large strip mall with plenty of parking. We arrived there around 12:30 PM and it was about 50 % full. We were seated immediately upon arrival. Service was extremely friendly and well polished. The food was good. We especially enjoyed the Martabak appetizer. Highly recommended.

Top Spice has an extensive Thai and Malaysian menu with selections that are reasonably priced. I am a fan of the red curry chicken, which is enough for almost 2 meals. I always try to get back there when I am in the city. Their miso soup is excellent . The wait staff are efficient, and service is very good. The atmosphere amd decor is zen inspired. The restaurant has s good wine and cocktail selection. They have takeout, and also delivery in the immediate area. No wonder this restaurant is a local favorite!

Top Spice has become a repeat attraction for us. And since a restaurant is only as good as its last meal, the fact that we keep coming back once a month is saying something, especially given the plethora of good Thai restaurants in Atlanta. Why do we return? The location is convenient with easy parking at Toco Hill shopping center. The decor is classy -- dark with a variety of seating options in a medium-sized space. The service is quite professional and swift. Good flatware, cloth napkins and classic china add to the experience. But the food is the star. Choose from a huge menu with familiar and unfamiliar dishes. Based on our experience, they are all beautifully presented and delicious. I seem to gravitate back to the Fresh Ginger Special and my wife the Massaman Curry. Unless you are a really big eater, you will have leftovers for lunch the next day and maybe the day after that.

I was visiting the area and was glad I chose this restaurant for carry out. Squid dish was spicy but not overwhelmingly so and Spring rolls were done just right. Price was reasonable and service was excellent.

One of the better Thai meals I have enjoyed, even having spent time in Thailand. Excellent Malay food, too. The Putra bowl was fabulous (photo included). 3 of us shared among 3 dishes and all were excellent. Reasonably priced, too.

The store is run by a malaysian lady, and even though prices are slightly high for asian food, it has to be said that the quality is definitely there. The lunch menu is especially good value for money too!

Service was not the best, from the beginning to end. Waitress missed a few items, which had to be re-ordered. I ordered rendang, and it took so long the rest of the table was ready to go home by the time I got it. The beef was full of gristle, and despite the 2 chilis by the name, was not spicy. We took it home, and it did not improve in flavor the next day. On the plus side, the appetizers were good, and we did polish those off. My husband's seafood noodle dish was delicious, but not spicy either. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong dish, or they were having an off day, but there was nothing here to entice me to come back. And heads up, they added an 18% gratuity to the bill, which was more than the service deserved.

We had just finished seeing an IMAX movie at Fernbank and it was around noon, so we opted for a quick lunch nearby. I think we had eaten here once before several years ago, but it is rare that we are in this area at meal-time. Parking is in a common lot out front and required a bit more searching than expected. Luckily it is a huge lot. Top Spice is nicely decorated (the tables have displayed spices in compartments under the glass top). Service was prompt and we didn't have long at all to wait for either the soups or the food. The dining room filled up before we were done. We both enjoyed our dishes (Massaman curry with tofu, as well as a beef-and-vegetables dish). If we lived closer or happened to be in the area again, I'd return.

I got the Keri ayam kering which I love and it was delicious. My friend got catfish and it came with a hair. The waitress didn't seem very thrilled or apologetic. They brought out a second dish which was better, but nobody came by to talk about the hair in the food or even do anything nice for my friend. Poor customer service.

You can never go wrong ordering from here! The service is always on point and the food is good as well. They have a very good selection to choose from. Even the Thai tea is delicious.

My husband, friends and I rate Top Spice as our favorite Thai restaurant - never disappointing, consistently excellent in every way.

This place lived up to its hype! The food was awesome from the samosas to the Thai Spaghetti...will definitely make this a stop next time I am here.

I love Thai food and Top Spice is one of my favorite Thai places in Atlanta. I get their Mango Tofu all the time and I absolutely love it! I work near this restaurant, so I pretty much order lunch from here almost once a week. This place is great for lunch or dinner.

Top Spice is my go-to Thai restaurant in Atlanta. The quality of the food is always excellent. The restaurant itself is elegant but not too fancy, no need to dress up. Be sure to try the Thai Ice Tea, it's a nice treat before or after your meal.

Our favorite Thai food in North Druid Hills area, for sure. We have our favorite dishes, such as Masaman Curry, Pad Thai, Salmon Lava - but are always excited about trying a new plate. Adjust the heat to your liking. Always fresh. Moderately reasonable prices. Attentive staff. And grab a dum-dum lolly pop on your way out the door (and get a Thai iced tea to-go, perfect end to a good meal).

Usually I avoid strip mall restaurants.. I was wowed... they have a decent wine list, an amazing menu and top notch service.

Top Spice is a delicious Thai restaurant! They use only the highest quality ingredients. I have eaten here once or twice a month for the last year, or so. I am never disappointed. I recommend it to anyone who enjoys Thai food. I recommend the Beef Satay and the Massaman. Yum!

This restaurant has 3 locations and I've always been of the opinion that the Cobb Pkwy spot was not as good as the others. Very recently I tried the Cobb location again and was very happy with the food.

Met a colleague here for lunch this week after not having been to the Toco Hills areas in quite a few years. Top Spice is an excellent Thai / Malaysian restaurant and some place that is worth drive to visit again. My associate and I both went with the Ginger dishes, I went with Chicken he with Pork. We both remarked how incredibly fresh the ginger was with just the right amount of bite. Everything tasted very fresh and well prepared. Service was friendly and attentive without being obnoxious. Can't seem to go wrong with this Thai restaurant.

I was on a business trip and stopped in to Top Spice which was very conveniently located to where I needed to be. I ordered the Chicken Cashew Nut and asked for it spicy, but it was very mild so keep that in mind if you like spicy. They were able to bring some chili sauce to spice things up and it was delicious. I sat in the bar area which is quite small, but the service was great!

We used to eat there till their food inspection reports kept dropping. I just won't eat in a restaurant that gets below an 80. Check it out. If the report is hidden like it was on our last visit, I would walk out.

This was my first -- and now LAST -- time ordering from this place! I was looking forward to trying them to compare them to Mint (which I really like), but in short, there is NO COMPARISON. Geeeez, where to start . . . 1) It took a full HOUR and 15 MINUTES to get our food; 2) When we did get it, the order was WRONG; and 3) When we reported the error to the manager, he acted as if we were making it up or lying. It was only after we "went there" with him a little bit that they FINALLY replaced the erroneous portion of the order. However, they had the NERVE to ask for the erroneous food back!! How TACKY! No, thank you, "Top" Spice (seems more like bottom shelf to me). I'll be calling MINT from now on.

I did not like the fact that we were automatically charged 18% for bad service. The waiter was not friendly, nor was he on top of our needs. I talked to the manager when it was over and he seemed nonchalant about it. This dinner was the only bad part of my birthday.

Came on a Sunday, we're seated immediately. Ordered the satay, pork jerky and Martabak for appetizers. Pad Thai, Chicken curry and Mango chicken for entrées. Everything was tasty. Good service and affordable prices. Highly recommend this place.

This is a fall back whenever I'm in Atlanta and don't feel like leaving the house -usually on a Sinday night. They have an excellent selection of meals and I've never been disappointed. Their delivery people are fast and courteous and the food always arrives piping hot. I tip a bit more because they have to drive a little further than I would expect anyone to deliver food, but they do and always with a smile.

Super friendly staff and great service. Amazing food and reasonable prices. I recommend to anyone seeking good Malaysian or Thai.

Great atmosphere. Large portions. Will prepare your dish to your liking. The basil chicken has a great sauce. We love the pan ant chicken. It can be a little spicy. Great date place.

I very rarely give anything a one star review however after the dinner I had tonight I feel one star is being generous. I started with chicken coconut soup which had a strong fish paste taste which was overwhelming and smelled awful. I then had the masaman chicken which was bland mostly meat very little onions and very few cashews. This masaman had no potatoes which is a standard ingredient in that dish. I finally poured enough soy sauce to eat about half of it. I am posting pics of the food on arrival vs when I stopped eating to give you an idea. After paying $25.00 here I went to McDonalds and got a burger so I could have something decent. At least by eating a mcdouble I got the bad Thai food taste out of my mouth. I do not recommend Top spice at all for any type of meal.

I have mever eaten at the resturant, only takeout. That being said, it is always good. My favorite is Panang curry chicken. Very tasty. The spicy fried rice is good too. I love the coconut soup that comes with the meals.
One of the best Thai places in Atlanta
This was my second time at Top Spice, but its been a really long time since my first. My girlfriend brought me here when we first started dating, and it was kind of my introduction to thai food. I probably had it before, but that was the first memorable time, and we've been going out to different Thai places ever since. This review is kind of going to be a combination, because based on this last experience, it would probably only get 3 to 3.5 stars, but it deserves more. The first time, I got the Pring Kring, or something like that. It tends to be my go-to at new thai places, and while I don't recall specifics, I recall loving it and would probably go 5 stars after that meal. This time I got the red curry. It was good, but it didn't taste as awesome as I thought it would. Didn't have as much meat in it as I am used to either. Maybe it was just a bad choice. Again, I should stress it was good and spicy and probably better than 9 out of 10 other Thai places, but it just wasn't as good as the first time. We also got their beef skewers - I don't recall what they are called - but if you like mild spicy beef, then this is a good appetizer to go with. All in all, how good your food is will depend on what you order, but anything will be good. Just the degree of "good" apparently changes. So choose, but choose wisely.
