Tasty Place -

By Stacy H |

Nice convenient dining at the hotel - Our server, Kate was attentive and helpful. Hubby was a little put off that the 1/2 chicken was actually less than, but it was still tasty - also the chef used the potatoes as a 'swipe' across the plate for looks vs. getting a serving of potatoes to be eaten as part of a meal (that was missing pieces in order to be considered a 1/2 chicken) - maybe it was an off night - it's costly though so feeling like you get what you pay for is pretty important. Still it tasted good and the service was great.

Fantastic bar in the heart of Houston and splendid green ceviche!

👌👌👌 Really pleasant atmosphere and frankly that ceviche was just perfect, a little spicy, fresh sword fish, I loved it!

Toro toro Houston

I visit toro toro Dubai regularly, at least once a month and Toro Toro Doha is also a good restaurant. Stayed in the four seasons in Houston and here was also a Toro Toro. Friendly staff, Good food but the air conditioning is too cold.

Thanksgiving at the four seasons Hotel

By Tom W |

Brunch at the Four Seasons was an absolute blast! The food was fantastic, the atmosphere was super chic, and the service was top-notch. Huge shoutout to Malik at the valet he runs to open the doors for us and give us some cold water, and we didn’t let us wait for our car. The whole experience was flawless and really made our day even better!

Food Delicious, Great Atmosphere, Way too Loud, Extremely Slow Service

By Cheryl G |

This was a party of 7 on a Thursday night in mid-December. The place was hopping. Really nice bar and atmosphere. The fireplace was lovely. However, it was so loud that we consistently had problems hearing each other throughout the night. For this reason only, I am not sure I would go back. Everyone enjoyed their food. We ordered a variety of starters to share and they were all very good. My favorite was the grilled octupus. The smoky stuffed avocado was the only one that everyone was disappointed with. Everyone enjoyed their main courses, including steak, fish, and antelope steak. We were disappointed with the desert. It was a large chocolate ball that the server broke open with a hammer and there was ice cream and some fruit inside. We all got a bite or 2 of ice cream. We would have definitely preferred to get a few normal deserts to share. Our server was excellent however they must have been understaffed at the bar and in the kitchen because there was a long wait for every single thing. There were no clean wine glasses to go with our wine... We would have definitely foregone the coffee, after-dinner cocktails, and desert if we would have known how long it would take. We were there over 4 hours and were running out of conversation and steam.

Overhyped but not bad

By Amina K |

Service was excellent, but food was average. We ordered short rib tacos and Amarillo ceviche to start. Tortillas tasted store bought. The ceviche was okay. Ordered ribeye and salmon roll for mains. Ribeye wasn’t worth the price, and tastes like a steak I would make at home. The roll was actually the best dish of the meal. The drinks were great and ambience was nice for a date. Overall, I’d go back for cocktails and the service, but probably not for dinner.

Good restaurant.

By Alberto M |

I was thrilled to visit this restaurant. The ambiance was inviting, and when I spoke to someone over the phone, they were incredibly helpful and provided valuable insights that made me even more eager to dine there. I settled by the bar and ordered my first drink. Unfortunately, the bartender accidentally spilled water on me. Moving on to my meal, I opted for the bone in beef rib al Carbone with the truffle fries. However, the dish was quite salty, making it difficult for me to enjoy. I couldn’t even finish it and ended up chugging my drink for some sweetness. Despite my disappointment, they offered to replace my meal, but I had lost my appetite. To my surprise, the bartenders went above and beyond by comping my meal, which was completely unnecessary. I highly recommend this restaurant for its exceptional service and overall experience. I gave them a generous $40.00 tip as a token of appreciation for their kindness and the complimentary tequila sample they provided. My tip reflects my meal experience, not the service.

Fine dining prices, not fine dining experience

By Paulette T |

Toro Toro- presents itself as a fine dining restaurant; however, there are no fine dining amenities or services. 1. no coat check, 2. no champagne upon arrival as stated in adds, no option to have bread service (complimentary or purchase). Steaks were not served hot, tea refills were severely delayed. Overall service was extremely poor and inattentive. As this location is in a hotel, I would say the service is what you would expect from a hotel. The service was far below that of a fine dining restaurant. I would not recommend, as you will pay fine dining prices for a below par experience.

Brunch review

By Sarah M |

We had an amazing time at the Four Seasons Hotel brunch! The food was absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was elegant, and the service was outstanding. Special thanks to Albarra from the valet team for being so efficient—we didn’t even have to wait for the car, which made the experience even smoother and more enjoyable. Truly impressed with the attention to detail and hospitality!

Best Bartender Ever.

By Diane G |

We got a snack and drinks before a show and were very impressed with Kendrick. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. We had entertaining conversations about Houston, great drinks and good food. He was attentive to our needs but not intrusive. He and my husband got along very well and he was engaging. He talked to us about the property and was complimentry about everything at the Four Seasons Houston, as well as other properties. He gave us some insight on the Houston entertainment scene as well. Highly recommend a trip to the bar!

Everything from being seated to leaving was perfect.

The location downtown should be easily reachable from almost anywhere in the greater houston area we drove in from clear lake with no problem. The atmosphere was great, quiet and serene. The food was fantastic blend of Japanese and Argentinian I have eaten in great restaurants around the world and enjoyed this experience more than any other. Ambiance, service, and presentation were exceptional and the food itself amazing. Be sure to try the tomahawk steak and the special desert. I have found the perfect place for special events and will be back ASAP.

Mediocre place except to hang out

By Kindler |

I tried this place as it was ranked among Houstonia Magazine’s Top 50. Unfortunately, I was less than impressed. Nothing about the food stood out - I had a salad with shrimp that was quite mediocre and brussels sprouts whose only flavor could be described as burnt. The guacamole was perfectly fine, but even I can make that. And like most high class restaurants these days, the prices were typically astronomical. Service included two mistakes, not delivering one of my orders and flubbing a no dairy request (yes, cheese is a dairy product). The one thing I’d give them high marks for was the atmosphere in the bar area - beautiful, bright, comfortable space with pleasant music playing. Nice place to hang out, just not a great restaurant.

Go anyway!

By Wayne B |

I sampled some of the chef’s empanadas at the Houston Rodeo Best Bites extravaganza and that one single sample brought me to the Toro Toro restaurant for the full experience. The empanadas are tremendous! The service, the ambiance, the decor…all top notch. Wonderful art and wonderful visual features. Great drinks. Great wine selections. However….our Chilean Sea Bass, although it was presented nicely, overall it lacked flavor. It just wasn’t special. I wish I could give this all 5 stars but I’m knocking it down one star because it fell just short, mainly in the value department. It was expensive and lacked that special attention that a dinner of this caliber should have included. Go anyway. Besides a nice dinner, there are so many photo ops in the hotel and restaurant…you’ll have fun Brite and after dinner just doing selfies!

Hard to Rate

By ashle4 |

It is hard to rate this one. It is a beautiful room at the Four Seasons Hotel. We sat at the Bar and had great service from Benito. His drink creations were top notch. Sadly, we were non-plussed by our food items, even though Richard Sandoval is a celebrated Chef. Bear in mind, that we only visited once, and only shared the Smoked Guacamole, along with a Wedge Salad each. A few years ago, we had a wonderful salsa made with charred peppers and tomatoes and it was memorable. We hoped the Guacamole might be similar. Shortly after ordering, we observed that they smoke a few different dishes in addition to our Guacamole, however, do so with a smoke gun. I wouldn't say it has no effect, but in our opinion, does not have the special flavour of grilling over hardwood. It was just ok. Our Wedge salads looked nice, but sadly, the lettuce was already turning yellow and gray. It clearly wasn't fresh and we returned them to be done again. The replacements were better, however, they were not what you might expect from a nicely prepared Wedge Salad - cold, crisp, fresh iceberg lettuce. Again, we were a bit disappointed, especially considering where this restaurant was, and the pedigree we expected it to have. Perhaps this is not a great representation of their capabilities, and more reviews would be welcome, to better describe their value proposition.
