My wife and I walked over here for dinner on a THU evening from our nearby hotel. This place is rated #1 for restaurants in Atlanta area - I just don't see it. You have to take an elevator down one floor from the lobby of the Hilton Atlanta Downtown hotel. Yes, the decor is Polynesian. Their Mai-tai drinks were pitiful, no fruit. Food quality average. The restaurant manager did stop by our table to check on us - a nice touch.

Fantastic, Lakiesha was amazing with our large group. She was very attentive to our group and made sure we had everything we needed.

Shetu was a fantastic waiter here at Trader Vic’s! He has been here for over 20 years and his expertise shows. We had amazing drinks and the food was great as well! We were mainly coming for tiki drinks but were amazed by the food! Enjoyed the “drunken noodles” and the char siu. You have got to grab a classic Mai tai - with 151 to go all in! We love Trader Vic’s!

Amazing unique experience great for dates anniversaries and birthday. I highly recommend it truly makes you feel like you’re on vacation even on a Tuesday. Great service. Our waitress Samantha walked us through the different beverage and food selections on the menu and was so pleasant and helpful! The Mai Tai with the addition of some pineapple juice was delicious. I recommend the Cosmos Tidbits and vegetable spring rolls to start! Delicious and accompanied with delicious dipping sauces. The ribs and filet were delicious also!

We are local to Atlanta and Trader Vic's has been a family favorite for the past 15 years. We've watched the menu change a lot over time and miss some of the older dishes, but ultimately we keep coming back, usually for special occasions and we always love it! The atmosphere can't be beat if you're a tiki lover. The service is always good and we always make a reservation so we're sure to get a table, although we did show up early for drinks recently and there was plenty of room. I recommend it!

The experience and food were good, our waiter was nice and attentive. I would try the restaurant again if I stay at that Hilton again.

Number one service in Atlanta! We have been coming yearly to Atlanta for FWA since 2008 and Trader Vic’s will always be our first stop. Kindest bar staff in the business, delicious drinks, and awesome atmosphere. Shout out to hosts Tempest and Destiny and our bartenders who will always treat you right!

Food was amazing, definitely recommend anything smoked and the drinks were on point. Overall the experience was 10/10

We had an absolutely fantastic time at Trader Vic's. From the bartenders to our incredible server, Samantha. You can't beat the vibe, period. Filet was delicious, just a wonderful night.

For over 20 years, our group has made Trader Vic’s a must-visit, and it never disappoints! Longtime staff members Milenko, Salam, and Shetu, who’ve been there since our first trip, always warmly greet us, making every visit feel like coming home. They are a large part of each visit. Newer team members Tempest, Destiny went that extra mile ensuring our experience was special. The tropical vibes, unforgettable food/drinks and outstanding service keep us coming back year after year!

Hilton Atlanta Downtown, Trader Vic's. Great atmosphere, drinks were good with a large variety. Food was excellent. With just right seasoning. Tiffani, our waitress was attentive, knowledgeable and responsive to our every need. Will return next time in town.

What a great experience. My family and I had never heard of Trader Vic’s before going and had a fabulous time. We ordered two appetizers and 4 entrees that we just shared around the table and everything was amazing. I’d particularly recommend the pork Char Siu and lamb. The ribs are good but not outstanding. Overall, one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in years

As a huge tiki fan, Trader Vic’s is quite the institution. We had a fabulous meal and drinks and were helped by the lovely Tempest and Destiny. Can’t wait to come back.

Shetu has probably been my favorite person here at Trader Vic's. I say this as a DragonCon regular for a decade. Jerk chicken was good, Mai Tai, as usual, was phenomenal, and Shetu was an absolute delight.

We went to Trader Vics for Mother’s day and the meal was delicious. There was lamb was delicious and all the desserts was amazing.

Went here on a date with my wife. Very cool vibe at this restaurant. Tiffani, our server, was very nice, funny & attentive. Food was good, though I’m not used to having capers on my steak. Drinks were good. And strong. Had fun. Would do it again.

Tempest always welcomes me when I come in. It’s nice that she remembers me and greets me as if I’m family. It’s always a joy to see her at the hostess stand. I wish everyone was as professional and hospitable as her.

In Atlanta for a weekend getaway and so we had to go to the Trader’s for an excellent meal (be ready for large portions) and perfectly mixed tiki cocktails. We were lucky to have Shetu, a 20+ year veteran, as our server. He took great care of us! Such a fun place, can’t wait to get back!

Our first time at Trader’s Vic was amazing ! Fresh, made to order dishes like the lamb chops, pupu platters, and banana forsters was so amazing! Between the Bartenders Salam and Milenko who greet us every year. And the host's Tempest and Destiny who chat with us past welcoming us. This place continues to be a pilgrimage for our group. I think its been 10 + years now. Im hoping for another 50. I wish I was smart enough to make this sound professional and using chat gpt would be cheating. Trader Vic’s Atlanta is a great Tiki Bar! We had a wonderful time. Amazing drinks, delicious food and Destiny, your hostess was Top Tier! She made our whole experience 1,000% better. We went in for dinner on Friday night after checking in at the hotel. It was really busy and we had no reservations, so we just ordered food to go and we waited at the bar. Destiny and Tempest were the hostesses that evening and they really took good care of us. When a table opened up in the front waiting area they let us sit there, and when our food came out we were able to eat right there. The fried rice and fried chicken appetizer were delicious. All the drinks sound great. I tried the mai Thai and really enjoyed it.

The end of June is always a special time for our family—my wife and I were married on June 29, and years later, our daughter was born on June 30. It’s become a joyful season of celebration in our household. This year, we chose to mark the occasion with a dinner at Trader Vic’s, and it couldn’t have been a better decision. As always, the food was exceptional, and the atmosphere transported us—there truly aren’t many themed restaurants like this left. Upon arriving, we were warmly welcomed by Tempest, who was incredibly friendly and personable. She engaged with my wife and kids while we waited to be seated, setting the perfect tone for the evening. While I wish I could recall every staff member’s name, each person we encountered was outstanding. The service was top-notch throughout. I can’t recommend Trader Vic’s highly enough—it’s a true hidden gem in the heart of Atlanta.

The food was amazing. We had the New York Woodfire, 12 ounce New York big. And the brazen short ribs both were delicious. The tempest was our host. She was amazing. There was a massive convention in town and she was able to accommodate everything we needed. We were not part of the convention on a last-minute stop in. She assisted us and helped us with everything we had questions about on the restaurant and everything they serve, she quickly got a seat in in the last minute pinch our waiter was amazing very quick to the table and was able to assist us. The food came out very quickly. It was delicious again Was amazing atmosphere for today’s prices. I thought the value was pretty equivalent to most luxury restaurants. We have zero wait times.

I want to start with service. Amazing. The hostess, Destiny, was so welcoming. Our waitress, I think her name was Tammy, was very attentive. We appreciated how knowledgeable she was on the history of the place. We ordered the tidbits appetizer so we could taste some of everything. Each item was really good. My husband ordered the pork chop which was another hit. Here is why I had to give them four stars. I ordered the lamb chops. My meat was not warm, actually it was cool to the touch. Tammy took it back to have a fresh plate sent back out. I told my husband to eat his food so that his pork chops didn’t end up cold while waiting for me. I ate a few pieces so that I wouldn’t just sit there watching him eat. Well about ten minutes past the time he finished his plate, the lamb chops were almost ready. I asked Tammy if we could just cancel the order. She offered for us to keep the order and plate it to go. That was unexpected. I tried the lamb chops once we returned back to the hotel room. They were hot and delicious. Thanks Tammy for making things right. I sure hope I got your name right.

As usual, Trader Vic's was fantastic. Staff was incredibly accomodating, especially our waitress Chryslin, who was absolutely on top of everything. She made sure we were taken care of.

We had a family dinner that was fabulous. The chef came out to check on us. Sam was a great server..plus if you want a fancy glass and a not fancy drink they can make it happen :)

I love this place like no other. I've taken to going several times a month, often several times in a week! I absolutely adore the Mai Tai and the Bananas Foster. I enjoy everything else I've ever tried on the menu as well. It's like a time capsule from 1975, with nearly everything just as Trader Vic himself left it, and it feels like it in only the best ways! The staff are all great. Salaam, Milenko, Zoe, Shetu, Sam, Zubair, Destiny, Tempest, Angie, Jesus, and Julio all knock it out of the park every single time!

Had the New York strip for dinner and it was cooked perfectly. Absolutely wonderful. Loved the Demi glaze! Would definitely have it again!!

We are visiting from Oakland, CA and was looking for our kids something near the hotel we’re staying in. The convenience of the restaurant was great . Located in the hotel. Trader Vic’s is great for drinks and food. It was a pleasant experience. The Trader Vic’s general chicken was great! The Hawaiian fried rice was really good as well. Destiny was the reason we came two nights in a row. She was super pleasant, funny and informative.

What a fun spot. Dinner and drinks in super fun cups. Samantha was attentive and efficient. This is a hot spot for weddings, saw at least 4 couples on tours.

This place is really a Hidden Gem and it is our favorite restaurant in atlanta. The staff is always fantastic. The drinks are strong and tasty. The food is delicious. The atmosphere is top-notch. What more could you ask for? When you walk in and are greeted by Chrisalyn, you can immediately tell you are going to have a great evening. We like to come early and stop at the bar for a drink before dinner. Milenko and Salaam have been there for years and take great care of you. Usually we get lucky and have Shetu the waiter take care of us during dinner. All the staff is great but we looked into being seated in his section the last three times. Since Jesus Aponte started managing the restaurant two and a half years ago, the vibe is always great. There are new things on the menu, new drinks, and lots of neat experiences like a summer luau or a Halloween Tiki party. We enjoy this restaurant so much that we drive 3 hours a couple times a year to eat here. We usually stay at the Hilton and make a great weekend out of it. If you are looking for a larger function, they have rooms for that. We have attended large dinners here and the staff always takes great care of the customers. Put on your best Polynesian attire and be ready for a good time. You won't regret it.

Samantha was an amazing server and everything was delicious! She put my drink on fire even though it normally isn't on fire! The special mango creme brulee was a particular treat, and I wish I could eat that salmon every day.

Christin was friendly and attentive. She asked about allergies and when we gave her the information she ensured we had a safe experience. She came to the table to check in and fill out water glasses often. They were able to split the appetizer to ensure it was allergy free. It was a blast from the past when we used to visit the Trader Vic's in Seattle, WA. This was a first two for two new generations to experience this exceptional experience.

This is one of the best restaurants in Atlanta and probably the best Tiki restaurant in America. Amazing food and world class service. Make sure you leave room for dessert.

Not the Trader Vic’s I remember from days gone by. This place seemed a little worn. The food menu is limited and the food is okay. However, none of the restaurants I’ve been to in Atlanta have served anything above okay - so it’s all perspective. The drink menu is extensive and the bar tender prepares a great cocktail.

Great dinner! Angie recommended the Pork Chop and I’m glad she did. As always, loved the “tid-bits”. The restaurant was busy and the service was fantastic! Ask for Angie - you’ll be well served.

Now, let’s talk about Shetu — our waiter, our guide, our Mai Tai maestro. This man didn’t just bring us food; he delivered joy, charisma, and just the right amount of sass. Every table should be so lucky. Shetu deserves a raise, a tropical vacation, and possibly his own spin-off series on Bravo. The pupu platter? Iconic. The drinks? Like being hugged by a coconut with a liquor license. And the whole experience? A boozy, breezy, Polynesian fever dream that I never wanted to end. Food was awesome. Everything tasted amazing. Got the 8oz filet for dinner and the flavor was to die for. Our waitress Angie was great.

Our reservation was for 7:15 on a Friday and it took a little longer than that to be seated due to some big parties monoplizing the hosts time. But once we had a table, Shetu was an excellent server who provided great recommendations. We enjoyed sharing the Scorpion Bowl, and took advantage of the Valentines Pre-Fixe menu. The beef tartare was excellent, and my scallops were perfect. It was a lovely evening!

A fabulous family night! Fun atmosphere, excellent service, memories made for our kids! Even getting there was an adventure! Our server Shetu made it a truly enjoyable night. Tip: get the Mai Tai, a must, and the FRIED RICE! Delicious! Thank you!

We were seated at the best table in the restaurant, next to windows near greenery so it was like being in Polynesia in downtown Atlanta. Our server Shetu gave fast friendly service, recommending good choices (the appetizer sampler) and even giving us special hot sauce that was really spicy. The music was not too loud and we enjoyed the atmosphere for an early quick dinner.

Everything felt like a family celebration and Chrislyn took fantastic care of us. Our friend’s birthday was amazing! We will be back!

I always enjoy visiting Trader Vic’s. Tempest has been my host the last couple of visits and she is always very professional and super nice. She puts people at ease and is very helpful.

I ordered fried rice and it was really good! Portions were more than enough. Samanthaa told us all about the history of the restaurant and we found it very interesting.

We had a great time for my husband's bday dinner! He's a big fan of tiki and this is a celebration spot for us. Thanks Samantha for taking such good care of us and making the evening feel so relaxed for us.

I always try to make it to TV when I’m in Atlanta. I’d invited two friends to join me on Tuesday—live music night. I had a reservation for 3 but they showed up with 3 more folks. Tempest, the hostess, parked us in the bar and before we could finish our first drink had us a table ready. The place was packed, so this was a bit of magic! Food, drinks, and music were great. Tiffany made a longtime Trader Vic’s fan happy and earned it some new ones with great service and a great evening.

Perfect service. Waitress was present when needed, kind and funny. She completed the vibe and made the a good night that much better.

Trader Vic’s has been on our bucket list for a long time and it exceeded expectations! The atmosphere was perfect. The drinks were superb and the food was delicious, we can’t wait to come back! Shetu was an exceptional server and made us feel so welcomed. Highly recommend!

The staff (Tiffani and Destiny) were amazing! They made the end of an already amazing day even better. Their smiles made us so happy and showed that they were proud and happy to be there. The food and the drinks were great and the atmosphere was beautiful.

This spot is great for exotic cuisine and an environment that pulls you in. Great to be surrounded by Hawaiian culture when eating Hawaiian food!

1000% would not recommend! We had a party of 7 and a 9pm reservation. It seems that the entire staff wasn't willing to work past 9:00. We were served the wrong drinks from the bar, twice! All of the entrees were made poorly, meat temperature was wrong and the sauces were just brown gravy with whole peppercorns. Our server apparently felt that it wasn't his responsibility to check on our table or our dinner. And to end a lackluster evening, 2 of our party ordered desserts that were supposed to be the same but were 2 completely different items. And the hostess was nowhere to be found to validate parking. For the amount we spent on this dinner there shouldn't have been any issues from start to finish. This was the third time we have been to Trader Vic's and it will be the last. If we want mediocre food we can find it for a lot less money.
