We went here for the kitsch of the trailer park theme and were not disappointed. Definitely need to check out if in the Gas Lamp Quarter. Good burgers, PBR and wait staff.

Definitely unique and fun to see. Cute concept but 1 and done. If you have seen before nothing to see again. Food and drink have cute names but medium to poor quality. Go for a beer. We rented a trailer which was fun but also isolating. So choose wisely.

This underground bar/restaurant was definitely a different experience. The decor is funny: red solo cup lights, campers with lounge chairs, pink flamingos, milk crate bar lighting... The menu is red neck themed, with things like tater tot creations, sloppy joe sliders and corn chips covered in chili. We had a funny dessert called granny’s dentures: apple slices, peanut butter and mini marshmallows. We were intrigued by the original and hilariously named cocktails, but unfortunately neither that we ordered actually tasted very good. The experience was worth a laugh, but we probably wouldn’t go back. There were definitely a lot of people at the bar having a blast though, that’s for sure!

Fun place with terrific music and playful atmosphere. It’s in an underground portion of a building, so you walk below street level to get there. Everything is trailer park living themed. Definitely a lot of thought went into planning this place and it shows! We only had dessert and drinks and they were good, but probably would bah e benefitted from a little more variety in the dessert menu. Would definitely be back to try some of their other food options as the atmosphere was really fun!

What a fun place. We came in a Tuesday night when all drinks are a buck up to a certain hour (7pm?), then moving to $2, $3 and then 4 bucks. Beers, whiskey and coke, you name it. The music was firmsly 70's with a screen showing Smokey and the Bandit (oh yeah!). Be sure to go to the restroom (in a trailer of course) and check out the cabinet behind the mirror.

Had a great time! My sister-in-law rented the venue for a large group of friends and family. The proprietors worked with her to prepare very tasty and plentiful food as well as beers and wine. The venue is located cleverly in the basement of a large commercial building, set up to harken back to a ‘50s Trailer Park, complete with actual travel trailers which were dismantled and set up in the space. Great down home vibe...felt like we were at a barbecue in the late ‘50’s when I was a kid!

Basement Dive Bar Extraordinaire! From the pink flamingos follow the steps into a funky trailer park themed decor. From opening time on Tuesdays 5-6 pm have $1 drink specials, 6-7 pm it's $2, 7-8 pm it's $3 and 8-9pm it' s $4. Menu is just as kitschy. For more $$ there are some interesting cocktails. Bartender was friendly. Just the kind of place I had to check out for cheap Happy Hour as I do love good dive bars. Just very unexpected in the pricey Gaslamp area. Make it a stop and smile at the decor. Very welcoming.

The food was really great, and the atmosphere was so fun! Our group was a family of 5 and almost all of us had something different to eat... Upscale TV dinners (either Meatloaf - amazing; or Fried Chicken Tenders) with veggies, mashed potatoes, brownie for dessert, and because it was a bar/club a jello shooter w/ Vodka. Appetizers & meals are reasonably priced; around $5-$15, and with the TV dinners you get a lot of food! Airstream trailers are on either side of the club, with padded wooden picnic benches & tables or booths. The trailer on the left could probably seat 6-8 people for dinner and drinks, while the one on the right is only a facade (a great one though!) Inside is a party room for rent that I think holds up to 50 people. They play all kinds of music; the night we went a mix of country & 80’s pop/rock. Service was great... Get there just before 5pm when they open! We waited a little bit because I walk with braces and crutches and they needed to get the key for the elevator to get to the bottom floor. We’ll get there closer to 5pm next time... Standing for 15 minutes outside was a little tough, but in the end, NBD! We can’t wait to go back! Parking was easy, but a little pricey in the backlot: $12 for 2 hrs, but totally worth the experience! Closed Sundays and Mondays, so plan accordingly; Tues-Sat 5pm-2am (Gaslamp Quarter - Downtown San Diego.)

Very trendy/hipster place. Bringing small camper trailers into the space was very original. Lots of drink specials available for social hours. I think the place had an unappetizing odor to it so won’t go back.

I was excited to visit this bar, because I love doing redneck things with my redneck friends. The decor is spot on, with attention to all the details - red solo cup lots, shopping cart bar stools, wheel barrow chairs, trailers, so much more. We looked at the menu and it followed redneck suit, but we didn’t eat. Hot dogs, frito pie, TV tray dinners, etc. The service was subpar and no one working seemed happy or friendly. I don’t think I ask for a lot, but I’ve bartended/served for 10+ years and I know even in a high volume environment a smile or hello doesn’t take too much time. We stayed for one drink and listened to some 80’s tunes from the DJ before we went someplace a little quieter so we could talk. I’d go back on a weekday to check it out again.

When in town with some friends for a wedding my wife and I decided to visit the Gas Lamp Quarter with friends. We were looking for something different and reasonably priced. I saw this place online and figured we would give it a shot. Our friends are not as adventurous as we are and were a little iffy about walking down a dark staircase to visit a bar. Upon entering it was hilariously decorated in true trailer park chic. The bar stools were shopping carts. The table made out of pallets and their was even a couple trailers in the bar. The menu was very reflective of this with Frito Pie, Chili dogs, Burgers and more. We all ordered drinks and food. The chili was great which made the frito pie and chili dogs great. The prices were almost too cheap for the area, and the people watching was second to none. No one was acting outrageous, it was just fun to see everyone enjoying the tacky atmosphere. As a male you must see the keg urinal with a padded headrest. LOL It is a really cool place and everyone in the area has to check it out.

Prior to arriving in San Diego I was looking for fun bars and came upon this place. A group of us headed here one night after our convention ended and it wasn’t worth the walk. The best thing was the decor. Service was horrible & they weren’t even busy. Several different drinks our group ordered weren’t good at all. Maybe we were here on an off night as it was a Tuesday night, but certainly didn’t live up to my expectations.

Only had some drinks but you cannot miss this place — the decor was hilarious !! Definitely reminds me of camping in summer and sitting in a shopping cart cannot be beat !

The photos to the place are deceiving. When I arrived I was expecting a lounge. When I arrived, there was a line outside and the wait wasn't too long to get in. When I went inside, I can see my 20 something self really enjoying this place a lot. The music is great and everyone wants to have a good time. It can be different to get to the bar as there is one, but it is pretty long. There are tables and seats and the seats are up cycled shopping carts. How clever! Staff was great and it's nice to know that there is security by the entrance of the place. I was also pleasantly surprised that the bathrooms were pretty clean for the amount of people there were at the bar. Overall, I don't think this place is for me. But in my 20s I would've loved it.

Super fun environment with great energy BUT If you are a college student looking for a clubbing experience where you can get in with your fakes, this is not it. While you may be able to get in with a fake, it is not exactly the music scene you may be used to. I went with a few friends and we quickly realized we were most likely the only ones there under the age of 24. Most people seemed to be in their mid 20's to early 30's. Though it is not your typical club blasting Migos or Gunna, they definitely had the whole room singing. Though the music was not necessarily my taste, everyone in there knew every lyric to every song and knew what they had signed up for. I thought it was cool and impressive that they had the entirety of the room singing and dancing. If you want to go out with your friends and dance to 2000's music and scream at the top of your lungs, this is the place to be. If you want to go out with your friends, listen to pop music, and dance on poles, this is not the place. The set up on the inside is super cool and fun. It is the perfect amount of dark and there are fun lights hanging everywhere. The bathrooms were exceptional, by far the nicest restrooms I have ever seen inside of a bar or club. Also the setup was memorably cool. There was a mini trailer and huge island countertop that divided the room into two sides. There are bars on either side of the room and though it was not my usual crowd, the energy was great. The staff were super friendly as well. Bouncers were nice and the bartenders were great. I will definitely come back next time I am visiting USD!

I always have friends and family in from out of town so finding this spot really did - hit the spot. What a fun and nostalga-driven concept = like you are in your grandparents' old trailer in the mountains or in a trailer park in Texas or the midwest or even Big Bear. They have taken the fun elements - including PBR beer cans in brown bags, to bar setas made out of old shopping carts. And then even have 2 real trailers all decked out with that 60s-style decor - couches with plastic seat covers and a cupboard with the good "paper china." During the week they have drink specials and fun games including "human fuoosball" - gotta see it to believe. More a drinks and apps place - including tots, Sloppy Joe and other comfort food, the owners plan to include "Blue Plate Special TV Dinners" in the coming months. If you are looking for a fun spot, this is it. Creative, great staff and a place you might just want to pull up a cart and stay a while.

Kind of hidden place with steps down to cellar level. Inside is not what you would expect.. go get surprised :-)

Okay first of all let me just say how cool this place is! When we got there there was nobody there yet soooooo it was kind of nice just to walk around and see all of the trailer park white trash stuff that was everywhere. If you've seen Trailer Park Boys this fits right in just more of a classier trailer park if that makes sense hahaha. Everything was super clean bathrooms are clean tables and floors are clean (I hate sticky floors). The staff was super nice, our waitress was like on it. The only negative thing that I will say was our food was cold when it came out, which kind of suck cuz there was like nobody there . They don't have a whole lot to choose from it's more like Stoner food...so like Frito chili fries, hotdogs and tater tot stuff... Music was good, I'm more of a 80s rock metal chick. And that's what they played. I think maybe later at night they have more of a DJ. They definitely had a DJ booth there. Will definitely be going back in the near future! Cheers!

One of a kind redneck fun! Embrace your inner hillbilly and give them a try! The experience starts with the bouncer at the top of the stairs in his overalls and plaid shirt, then continues down in to bars where you will find an actual trailer, wheelbarrow chairs, a giant grocery cart chair, a larger than life rooster, fishing tackle box used for condiments and napkins, as well as a redneck inspired drink and food menu. Talk about bringing the country into the city! We had a blast.

This place was pretty fun. Only someone with a very creative imagination could come up with this. Old school camping trailers with white picket fences around them, grocery carts for chairs, tables made of old pallets, and a lot of 80's music! Definitely not your run of the mill place. We loved how the whole crowd would be singing an old song that was playing. If you're in San Diego gaslamp you gotta go.

First off, we came here after we had eaten dinner so this was strictly a bar visit for us. The drink list was cute/funny, and the general decor is a definite can't-miss. The music was fun, 70's-90's redneck stuff which we loved. We will be absolutely return on our next visit to San Diego

So—-we were walking along in the Gas Lamp District and saw a sign that was too good to pass up. When we got downstairs the place was incredible from the PBR in the brown bag to the actual campers in the dining area. We met the owner and he was honestly one of the nicest guys we came across in San Diego. Highly recommend for a great time in the Gas Lamp district.

Did anyone say NOISY? Every other sentence began with "WHAT?" The decor is unbelievable! The menu is limited and there is a Happy Hour for drinks where prices start at $1 at 5 pm and go up by $1 each hour thereafter until the Happiness ends at $4. Try sitting in the fenced yard outside the trailer. Or sit on a wood pile by a slatted table. Or for the upper crust, sit in large booths. The bar stools really are modified grocery carts. Loud but decent music prevails while raw wrestling appears on several TVs. Did I say this place is in a basement? At least there is an elevator for those who don't want to use the stairs into the depths. The mac'n'cheese with bacon added was great as was the frito chili pie. The service was good, too. This is the most creative dining experience we have had lately. The theme dominates. Just don't expect "hoity tooth" food, the basics are really good enough and the fun adds to the experience.

Be prepared for authenticity! Atmosphere was lots of fun, especially for folks who have never seen this side of life, I.e. travelers from outside the U.S. Service was excellent, drinks were good, and the food is simple and casual. Music soundtrack was excellent!

A bar, done up to look like a trailer park. Servers dressed like rednecks. Bar stools made out of shopping carts and the tables/chairs are made out of shipping pallets. Fun. I don't think I'd go back, but it was fun.

I heard about this place from a few friends, and it came as a surprise one night when my friend invited me out after we saw a music venue together just before Halloween. It was a fun and unique bar with a lot of "trailer park" amenities that cracked me up- lawn chairs, teardrop camper, pink flamingos, white picket fence and plenty of other good props to make you feel at home while getting inebriated off of tasty beverages. I'd definitely go back for another round at the Trailer Park After Dark!

Food and service were ok. Not the best food but the decor and music were pretty good. Nothing special and not a must visit.

This was my absolute favorite bar in San Diego! Good music, good drinks, and the decor is hilarious! Added bonus - they have a Nintendo!

This place was as fun as expected and more. Everything from red solo cups for light fixtures, vinyl covered chairs set out in front of trailers to Nintendo game inside a trailer, this place so reminded me of my childhood. The decor was not all that was fun. We enjoyed to fun menu as well. My husband got the meatloaf special which looked like a TV dinner on sectioned tray (complete with a brownie), which he which really enjoyed. Enjoyed making s’mores for dessert. Just so fun, kitschy and whimsical.

The food, the drinks, the staff, the decor and the music was like it was hand selected just for me. They even had my old wallpaper in the ladies toilets. I recommend the Mac and cheese and Cherry Springer (of which I had many). Our waiter was a good guy, he was going to be finishing his shift and he’d waited on us all night so we got the cheque and I basically gave him every dollar bill that I had. Considering we sat there all night drinking and (we ate) our cheque was $101, the bars we had been to before and the bars we went to after just weren’t the same. It was Tuesday and they have drinks offers and play music throughout each decade, it was so good. If you like quirky, pop punk and good drinks then please visit.

Where do I start. They really went all out. You can reserve one of the trailers to have a private group in. The menu plays on the whole theme and was good and inexpensive. Our server was attentive and the food came out fast. Nice touch-bar stools were shopping carts. To tell you more would ruin the adventure. Arrive early or be prepared to wait in line to get in.

Very cool place with an awesome atmosphere! Food and drinks were way more affordable than a lot of the other places in the Gas Lamp Quarter. Great way to spend an evening!

We loved it!! A dark, hole in the wall, trailer park bar! You can't ask for anything better. Drinks were amazing, appetizers were great, and you can't beat the service. Must try the Karen, No you can't speak to the manager! Best drink ever.

Visited here for a few drinks, good strong cocktails, and cool quirky decor. Great service! Must try!

This is one of the most relaxing and fun places I have been in San Diego. Stag is nice and managment is very accommodating for a group gathering. Must see and experience!

Just happened to be walking on the block and spotted the pink flamingos. I learned the place was a bar... and the rest is history. What an awesome. I repeat awesome place to hang and have drinks. Great theme, great service, reasonable prices..the decor is outstanding!!!!!! Outstanding!!!!!! I recommend it to locals and visitors like me..

It's in downtown San Diego... so enough said about the parking - traffic - etc... This place is unique and a pretty novel idea. Its located down stairs and executed well in the space below ground level. Your first look in will likely bring a smile. It is a restaurant, so the food matters... and where my confusion is. The menu is simple - and priced decently. BUT, the food was overly salty and not served as hot as expected. It was also not served all at once. That left us pondering if this was all a "part of the experience" or just as the proprietors wanted it to be. It was edible, but far from the best ever! Honestly, less salty and HOT, it would have been good. The meatloaf tasted good and was served in a metal tv tray. My nachos were tasty, but the hamburger meat was grainy and the chips were really salty. The tater tot taco was good, but again not really hot. Two in our group of five were eating about five minutes before everyone else. So - overall - a really neat idea and a place you may want to "experience", but food wise - not likely going to top any of your list. A one-and-done for me.

We had the best time ever! We made a reservation and had a ridiculous picture sitting on our table telling people it was reserved, we had beyond fantastic service from Gabrielle (might not have spelled it right), the owner was attentive and interactive, the music was fun, the drinks were delish, and the ambience was true to the name. So details - We arrived a bit early and were invited to sit in grandma's trailer with a cocktail while we waited for our table to be ready. Everything in the place was true to the theme and super fun. I ordered the meatloaf TV dinner and it was the best dang meatloaf I have ever had in my life (and the Jell-O shot was a nice boost). My table mates said the salty pretzel was good as well as the wings and the Fritos pie fries. I tried 3 specialty cocktails and none of them disappointed (cherry springer, henny boo boo, and the ole lady) and the PBR in a paper bag was also a great treat. The fireball shots were served in cute miniature mason jars and the trailer tv and music kept us entertained for quite some time. We will for sure be back here!!! This was beyond a fun stop and a fantastic way to spend an evening.

This is one of my favorite spots, from the decor, to the music, to down right cheap fair foods. I was invited to a birthday party here and I am so glad I went. We had our own trailer in the back and needless to say WE HAD A GREAT TIME.

This place is really fun and unique. The whole theme of being in a trailer park is great. The food is fun and good but not the healthiest. BUT it adds to the trailer park vibe. Great staff and service. Music was good, it would be fun if they had a Country night. Maybe they do. We were visiting from out of town with friends and even though we were probably the oldest people there we had a blast!

This was a fun place but just a bar with a few trailers in it! Would be more fun if you could party in the trailers but they are usually reserved so you are restricted to tables or bar. It had some fun food options you’d eat as a kid which are served with a tackle box (has silverware and condiments)...but just an average bar!

We had a blast here, it's like a trailer park got sick and threw up in this basement. The food was really good and came out pretty quickly. The staff was friendly and were in love with the theme as well. We laughed at every little thing we noticed throughout our dinner. I was completely sold with the theme, but then the food came out and it was tasty. I definitely recommend this place.

My husband and I took my mom here while she was in town! A very welcome and fresh place to visit after dinner and drinks at some of the fancier places in the gas lamp. If you’ve got a good sense of humor and enjoy some down home food and music, I recommend stopping in!

We were walking around The Gaslamp Quarter and saw this place. We went in and stayed all night!!! It has a kitschy feel with trailer park decor, very fun!!! A lot of 80s and 90s music and dancing!!!! Drinks were pretty good and well-priced. If you want a fun night with friends, go here!!!!

This place is a very, very cool concept and well done! The service was great and we had SUCH a laugh in our 80s trailer! Every detail is amazing. I would totally recommend for a drink or two. We were intending to stay for dinner, but the trailer didn't lend itself to eating... and there was a weird smell to the whole place. It is in a basement, which is unusual for California, and they had large fans everwhere... obvs, airflow/smell is a known problem. It's too bad, because I really thought it was a great place, hence the 4 rating. It would be a great place for a hens night out. Great job, Trailer Park After Dark!
Great fun!
This quirky trailer theme bar was great fun! We sat at the bar in our shopping carts and ordered tator tots! The bartender and service was excellent and we enjoyed the fun, light atmosphere. I great place for a drink and appetizer when out in San Diego.
