Good neighborhood Italian food

By weluvbeaches21 |

My husband and I dined here recently. We ordered garlic knots, eggplant appetizer (I'd get that again for an entree), clams and linguini, and the meatball parmigiana sub. Everything we ordered was very good. They have a good marina sauce. Service was good and attentive. They were busy for a Thursday night. Just an FYI they do not have chicken fingers and the menu said they had fries but didn't that night? We ordered a chicken parmigiana to go for my son. It was not what I've ever seen.. the roll was open it had to be because the chicken(s) were so large. My son had to eat it with a fork and knife. Big portions are usually appreciated, but not when it's a sub. Other then that sandwich I'd definitely return and try something new. They also had a nice cookie display (the previous owners had the best cookies). A nice gesture would be a cookie for each person when you get your bill. That might encourage people to want to order some to go.

It just get better

Came by one of the best keptsecret secrets in Las Vegas. This restaurant rocks. The staff is incredibly friendly many are family. Italian fare, wonderful wine selection, relaxed casual you just can't say enough about this. They have recently opened up the room so now you can see into both rooms and they've added a little entertainment or will once the restrictions get lifted. You can do dine in which I highly recommend. It is for dinner. Every item I've had on the menu is just spectacular.

"Authentic Italian Cuisine"

By Raymond M |

Loads of friends recommended Trattoria Italia and we finally made it this wonderful restaurant for a late lunch today. The title of my review says it all...this authentic menu took us back to revisit all of our trips to Italy and Sicily. The salad was fresh and dressed perfectly. Susan's Veal Piccata, with Angle Hair pasta was her best ever. My Spaghetti Carbonara with Guanciale (Pork Cheek) almost made me cry it was so delicious!! I've always had this dish made with pancetta but after I had today's meal, I may never have it any other way than how Trattoria Italia presented it. today!

LOVED THIS PLACE!

By Haley Hill |

Someone recommended this place and we absolutely loved it! We shared the gnocchi and it was delicious. The waiters were so kind and fast and it was just great. The bread was also awesome and we will go back for sure!

Great Tiramisu!

By Lou P |

Had a lovely dinner. Loved the bread knots and olive oil to start out. Good Italian wine. Homemade pasta was good. Big portions. Lots of authentic desserts on display in full case by front door. Plan to leave room for the Tiramisu. Very good and large portion. Definitely enough to share. It comes in a "ready to take home" container (if you didn't leave room for dessert. Very attentive servers.

Reminds me of Italy

By mochmd |

After business meeting at nearby hospital, I went to dinner at this small neighborhood place in a strip mall. I was pleasantly surprised by the quaint decor inside, reminiscent of a tuscan trattoria. The fresh made pappardelle pesto special was perfect! The Italian wine by the glass was a treat. The price point was a little high for their specials, but seemed more reasonable for regular menu items. Portions though were generous!

Real Italian in Henderson

By GoPlaces783332 |

I tried Trattoria Italia for the first time a month ago. Since then, I have returned 9 times, it is outstanding. A real family owned traditional ItalianPlace with a very comprehensive menu and nice wine list. (Beer and Wine only) The menu covers everything from Meatball, Eggplant Parm, and Sausage and pepper sandwiches, Great Pizza, Pasta, Veal, Lasagna and more. I have loved everything I tried. The service is very good, friendly and helpful wait staff. Jill is my favorite!! The prices are reasonable and you won't be sorry if you give it a try.

Good Italian

By NatRod |

Casual ambiance. Food was good. The dough for my calzone was good & the bread knots were freshly baked. It was tasty. The ham was just a bit salty for my liking but was good. The pasta was good and the shrimp also. The pasta could have been cooked just a tad bit more but still was good. Will go back to try more.

Excellent service coupled with excellent food

By Logan R |

Some of the best Italian food I have ever had and definitely the best Italian deserts I've ever had. The service was also excellent

Excellent, family-style restaurant with personal service

By JaybirdNC |

Wonderful choice for family-oriented dining off the strip in Las Vegas. Away from the smoke and high prices - we've eaten here twice in the last three months and been very pleased both times. Flavorful salads big enough to share. Pizza and pastas were a hit with adults and teenagers alike. We'll be back when we're in Las Vegas next!

Great Little storefront Italin eatery

By k3ew |

No table cloths, not fine decor but they know how to cook. Great little neighborhood Italian family owned restaurant. My cousin has little neck clams with White wine and garlic which she said were quite good. I had the Chicken Saltimboca. The dish was prepared excellently, and served on a bed of spinach. Very large portions and great tasting.

Italian cuisine.

Absolutely fabulous Italian food. The seafood pasta is superb. The house salad is terrific, large enough to split.

Interesting place

Well decorated, very pleasant staff - like a family run restaurant, very good Chianti, nice appetizer, generous portions, homemade pasta, delicious entrees, could not have been better!

Wonderful Italian restaurant with delicious homemade pasta. Had the cannelloni and it was simply divine.

Nice Local Italian Meal

By allenw78 |

A nice place for a good meal at fairly low to reasonable prices.Small salad was extra but worth the money. I could have eating it myself but shared with my spouse. The chicken Parm was a nice flatted large breast that was pan fried and then added the cheese and sauce. Very tasty. The Veal Parm sandwich was very large also. Pasta was good with a nice marinara sauce. Coffee was also fresh and good. My wife has a nice portion of eggplant Parm. Overall a good meal at a moderate price. Watch for coupons. Meal is a good value.

Not up to their standards

By Loren L |

We have visited quite often and if this was our first time I may not return. I feel some might have been an off night, but other things not so. The pasta was under cooked and the sauce was sparse. The dishes (portion size) seems to have gotten smaller. This led for a disappointing dinner with the family. We will give one more chance as we love the food and atmosphere.

Great Food with Great Friends!!

By curtlance |

We insisted when visiting friends that we go to their favorite Italian Restaurant. They took us here..... We started with Sausage & Peppers in a spice sauce, and Rice Balls as appetizers... My wife had the Cannelloni, which she said was outstanding. I had the Veal Picatta, wth angel hair pasta. Our friends had their choices, which included Salmon, Pasta, with Sausage, Veggies and more. They also offered really exceptional Italian pastries for dessert, and all clearly made from scratch. As there are literally few places to eat at reasonable prices, this restaurant stood out. The food was exceptional and the prices were very reasonable. With Appetizers, Entrees, Desserts and Beverages (No Wine or Booze) it was right at $250 for 5 people WITH GRATUITY!!! - For my view, this was a great value!.

Loved my choice.

By Martina Stella |

Good atmosphere, had a feeling being in Sicily again. Very intimate place for a date. Food and service was excellent. This time I decided to try Gigli mare e monti and I loved my choice.

Delicious, authentic Italian

By Nvhawk |

I ordered the eggplant parm, chicken parm, and kids Mac and Cheese. All were really good, but the winner was the kids Mac and Cheese. If you could turn a cheese calzone into pasta, it would be their Mac and Cheese. It is cheesy and creamy, all white and not like your typical Mac and Cheese. They bake it to lightly crisp the mozzarella that is layered on top. The portion was huge too. The eggplant parm is Sicilian style which most Las Vegans (or most Americans) are not used to. It isn’t skinless with thick breading. It has the skin on the edges. We enjoyed it though thoroughly. The marinara sauce is perfection. The chicken parm was good too but the chicken was slightly too firm. The dessert selection is amazing. I can’t wait to go back to order a box of pastries.

Great from the beginning to the end!

By btorts |

Besides the wonderful, courteous staff the food was amazing. There were 9 people in our party and each one of us had something different. Of course, we all tasted each other's meals and each bite was better than the previous one. The portions were generous and we cannot wait to go back

Authentic food, friendly service!

By ElissaC1214 |

Our acquaintance from Italy, Francesco, recommended this place after I complained about not being able to find a good Italian restaurant. Since I am Italian, I can cook much better food at home. Well, this place is authentic! A lovely family from Sicily owns this restaurant! We made reservations and were seated promptly. The wait staff was helpful and attentive. We ordered the shrimp scampi appetizer, the eggplant parm, and the fettuccine alfredo. Imagine my shock when I was expecting over-cooked pasta and it was.......drum roll, please...... al dente! Thank you! The scampi maybe could have had more garlic and less lemon for my taste but it was delicious. The little garlic knots were soft and served warm with seasoned olive oil. The eggplant was sliced nice and thin and though I would have preferred it to be skinless, I was surprised that it was very delicious. The tiramisu is out of this world! The sfogliatele was also very good. The wine was lovely and reminded us of the wine we had in Italy. Portion sizes were ample and we had enough leftovers for another meal. We will be back. Thank you, Pasquale (my father's name) for your friendly conversation and your lovely restaurant.

Found this neighborhood gem and am thrilled. Went for a late dinner and entered an small restaurant with a great atmosphere and wonderful smells. The service was timely, attentive, and friendly. The food was well prepared and very tasty. All in all this seems to be a great place. The menu is full of items we want to try so we'll be back for certain.

Wonderful

By MisterSly |

Really Italian place, good food, employment kind and fast service, if you like to eat Italian pasta this place it’s really perfect, out of the strip but really good and convenience. P.s. don’t forget to eat “cannolo siciliano”

GREAT ITALIAN

By bears60 |

WOW! The Lazagna is melt in your mouth good. The spaghetti and meat balls were also delicious. It is well worth the trip. The service was friendly and made us feel at home. The cookies and tiramisu for dessert were great. You will not be dissapointed with this restaurant.

Bella Italia

By jjmalter |

We celebrated my husbands birthday here today and it was wonderful. We started with the Italia Salad, it was huge and delicious. I had Cheese Ravioli that were like puffs of air they were so light. Hubby had Clams and Linguine. Just fabulous, so many clams and so garlicky. Yummy The garlic knots were also delicious. I'm Italian ancestry so I must say this tasted close to home. My friends had Eggplant Parmigiana and absolutely loved it.All in all just downright delicious.

Excellent Sat. Night Dinner

By HHenry5236 |

My wife had the stuffed pasta with angel hair and eggplant: SUPER!!. I had about the third best Lasagna I have ever had. Our son had a good Fetti. Alfredo. Place was Full and service staff was super attentive and with it. They told us what to order (our first visit). We would go back in a heartbeat. Great food, great sauce and we are from NJ.

Wonderful restaurant with terrific food

By Dori R |

Third visit on our 2 weeks in Vegas. This time we had the lobster ravioli, cioppino and chicken piccata, all were wonderful. We had several appetizers and the calamari and sausage and peppers were the favorites. For dessert, the tiramisu, made by the grandfather of the owning Italian family was our favorite as well as the pastry with the strawberries on top. Great friendly service and wonderful food, we will be back when we go to Vegas again.

A Nice taste of Italy

By Frank P |

While visiting my son in Las Vegas, we dined at Trattoria Italia for a late Sunday lunch. It was mid-afternoon so it was almost a private dining experience. The tables were covered in red checkered clothes with a white paper topping. We were welcomed with a basked of freshly baked mini-rolls and a bowl of seasoned dipping oil. My plate of Veal Marsala with angel hair pasta was generously topped with mushrooms and proved to be tasty and tender. My son enjoyed a brimming helping of spaghetti with meat balls. The staff was gracious and service was prompt.

Real Italian food!

By Cathy Cox-Brakefield |

Mostly fresh pasta made on site and the tiramisu was to die for. Run by a friendly Sicilian family in a small neighborhood shop.

Very Good.

By Happy Traveller |

Friendly staff. Very Good Food. Very Clean. Has a nice atmosphere even at lunch time. Night times they have live music. Also have happy hours from 4 to 6 which includes food specials. I enjoyed it and will go again. Thank you.

Delizioso!

By JMM65inLV |

Authentic delicious Italian Food! We were there for lunch and the menu has a perfect selection of dishes. It is not overwhelming with a good variation of chicken, veal, pasta, seafood, salads and sandwiches. The server was attentive refilling water and bread without hovering. The chicken parm and bread were perfect! I felt like I was Grandmas house again!! We will be going back soon for dinner. It was recommended we make reservations on Friday or Saturday nights!

Music instead of TV?

By Siennaskies |

I thought the food was above average. The pizza was great but I dont know why you have to pay extra for basil and mozzarella for the Margarhita pizza. Shouldn't that just be an automatic thing. It's like, "Do you want the O.k. pizza for a lower price or the really good pizza for $3.00 more. That was odd. Also, for the quality of the food, which was really good, the ambiance was ruined with televisions playing. It made it feel more like a sports bar. Not sure if both dining areas had it but we were in the area that did.

100% Italian

By Peppematrix |

Italian trattoria in Las Vegas, food with attention to detail with tastes and aromas like being in Italy in a very good trattoria so it's unbelievable here! From hot bread to the cutting board, from meatballs to gnocchi! More than friendly and kind service! Quick and precise! As for the atmosphere, we came for lunch but there is a piano and microphone so it can only get better! Recommended to everyone!

Good Italian food

By Chas C |

Very friendly Italian restaurant. The whole staff made you feel at home. Food was very good off the menu. Special of the day was a little over priced. Would go back again.

Amazing italian family

By Vegas to Europe |

Great italian place in Las Vegas , beautiful family from Sicily . Great place to celebrate a birthday party , they will let you feel like you are part of the family , i was super impressed. A must go when you are in Las Vegas

Different than my last review

By Loren L |

We frequent here quite a bit. The food is usually great with nice portions. This time was very different. The plates seemed larger and the portions seemed smaller. The pasta was not cooked properly and the sauce was little. Usually they are spot on to where driving across the valley is worth it. This time three out of the four were disappointed. One of the couples make this there night out at least 2 times a month, very disappointed. This being said, I hope this was just an off night and not one of those hidden gems expanding too much. I will try one more time, but will be hesitant to recommend until I try again.

Very interesting little find in a strip mall!

By Sean Ryan |

It is a family-owned business. The wait staff, led by Giuseppe, was extremely courteous and polite. That being said, there were some problems with the food and basic food service. We asked our waiter for additional bread knots and he picked them out of the basket with his bare hands, no washing, to serve us. Yuck. Bread was burnt in some spots and on a lot of the pieces. I ordered chicken parmesan and it was rubbery the first time. Sent it back and when it came back the second time, it was perfect. Even came with a steak knife that time. However, the two other people who dined with me had spaghetti with meatballs and linguini with clams in garlic sauce and they both raved about it. Ordered chocolate cheesecake for dessert, which was very sweet with just a hint of the bitter dark chocolate. Overall, this restaurant was adequate, but not fantastic. The food was good and reasonably priced, but don't go expecting the best Italian food of your life.

Great dinner

By BarbPope |

Took my team to celebrate meeting a work goal. The staff are great and authentic. Food was excellent and gave us extra cookies and bread when we left. Should have asked how much the special was though I paid $42 for porcini mushroom ravioli with truffles x 2!!

The Best food

By bears60 |

The spaghetti and meatballs are so very tasty and the food is HOT when brought to your table. The meatballs sandwich is also great. The service from any server is always great, Thanks! Food is reasonably priced for what you get.

Not a mirage in the desert!

By anthony z |

This little family run Italian restaurant just opened in December, 2016. It offers all the basic Italian fare. Nothing fancy. All items on the menu and the daily specials are freshly prepared. The chicken saltimbocca is a welcome change to the traditional veal version. The clam and mussel simmered in a white wine broth is exceptional! You can almost taste the loving care and pride put in these dishes by the chef! The pastry section of the restaurant is amazing! You must have a big appetite to eat there because the portions are huge. Of course you can always take home the left overs for tomorrow's dinner. I have visited there three times, lunch and dinner. I will continue to eat there because of the quality of the food, friendly, attentive service and reasonable price. This restaurant is real, not a mirage in the desert!

Pure Italiano

By SanMijas |

This is our favorite restaurant in Las Vegas area. Food is authentic, tasty and always great. Desserts are homemade. You can bring your own wine $15 corkage fee. Tend to order the same things as they are the best. Service is great also. Some of the staff speak more Italian then English but understand perfectly English. This restaurant has doubled since we started going there.

This is wonder

I found myself here on holiday with friends in Las Vegas who were recommended to me by Piripi, and I found it wonderful, I ate as if it were at home, with Mr. Andrea and his son Lino with his very nice family. Real Italian owners from Italy. All of our pasta dishes were fantastic, and we're Italian. Worth the short trip off the strip. Will go there again when in Vegas.

A Surprise Find!

By jchuran83 |

Our first night in town, we wondered upon this little gem. It was so delicious we hope we can find another meal free this week to return! The salad was large, fresh and full of variety with the artichokes, roasted red peppers and olives. The bread knots were worth the visit alone. We were in the mood for pizza and were very happy we went that direction. All of the ingredients were wonderful! The crust was perfect -- crusty and chewy. The cheese had a delicious flavor of its own. We were glad we ordered extra so that we have leftovers for breakfast We left with cookies from their beautiful pastry case. They were wonderful! We enjoyed he personal service and friendly atmosphere!

Another great meal!

By Michael T |

Love this neighborhood gem! The food is always consistently good and the service attentive and very polite. The entrees are more than ample and the wine selection is appropriate and of great value. My grandson always orders the kids mac and cheese which is by the way the best I have ever sampled anywhere. We always enjoy this dining establishment and will return many more times in the future!

outstanding Italian food and sweets

By Willy B |

you cannot even imagine to find such pizza, food, and sweets in Vegas. The pizza is as good as in the best Neapolitan pizzeria in Naples, and cannoli , sfogliatelle and cassate are better than in most pastry shops in Italy. try pasta, risotto and everything that the family D'Alba offers to you. go in big groups, tou'll have fun!

Dinner

Excellent food! Our family ordered 3 different dishes and all were a delight. The homemade pasta was light and flavorful! The pizza was “over the top” awesome. Not to be forgotten, the live music was the perfect complement. This family owned business provided the best food and service I have seen in my 21 years in Henderson. Thank you for a job well done!!!

Don't waste your time or money

By roma2srs |

Was going to be on this side of town so I researched Italian restaurants and found this one. I checked their website and it said they opened at noon. My friend and I got there around 2:30 and found a hand written sign on the door that said they did not open until 4 PM. I contacted them through the email on their website and suggested they update their hours of operation but never got the courtesy of a reply. A couple of weeks later I was in the neighborhood and it was after 4 PM so my friend and I decided to eat there. Outside there was a blackboard sign that said there was "Happy Hour IN The Bar" between 4-6. We sat at a table in the bar area with the restaurant tables on the other side of a pony wall. When the waitress/bartender came over we asked to see the happy hour menu only to have her tell us Happy Hour was AT the bar but since it was not busy she would allow us to order off the Happy Hour Menu. I guess it didn't matter that the only customers in the whole restaurant were all IN the bar area. We had the Antipasto Miso Tangliere which was tremendous and had a large variety of items on it. My friend had Ravioli Capri and I had Chicken Parmagiana which were just Ok. For dessert my friend ordered cannoli and the bus boy never asked which size she wanted and automatically brought the large one. She asked for a refill of her diet coke and when we got the bill there was a charge for 3 cans of soda. What bar does not have a soft drink fountain. We should have been told that there was an additional charge for a refill but the waitress only took our order and after that she was at the bar and the bus boys were the ones who came to the table and they did not understand or speak English very well. If you are going to have staff interacting with customers they need to understand what the customer is asking and be able to speak in english that is understandable. An all around terrible experience.

15 minutes from the strip!

By Thefax |

Nothing to do with the chaos, the prices, the service, the friendliness, and the Italian quality that is NOT found in the Las Vegas of the hotels (and related or neighboring restaurants) on the strip. Obviously, if you are staying in LV for a couple of days there is no point in escaping, but for those who know the city and/or have to stay there for a few days, a visit to this restaurant is an excellent choice. Obviously it seems like another world in a residential (and food) area that is absolutely silent and not at all touristy but that's also the beauty of it! Good Italian cuisine, excellent service with a smile, very nice atmosphere and prices.... Incredibly 50% lower: obviously, it's one thing to eat in tourist LV (which I love anyway) and another thing to enter another dimension... normal. I forgot the tiramisu! …..very good.

A great authentic Italian restaurant option away from the Strip

By Steff A |

1 check-in Trattoria Italia is a great Italian option in the Anthem area... Trattoria ambiance & service: The main dining area is one open room with a cool rustic Italian kitchen decor vibe complete with checkered red and white table clothes for a classic look. There's a TV projection screen on the back wall displaying sports. Our server was friendly and very busy through the night. We had to wave her down for drink refills a couple of times but she took care of us immediately. It appears they might have been understaffed on a Friday night. The kitchen was great with getting our dishes for our party of 6 to us timely. Trattoria cuisine: We started with the squid and and calamari and both were great appetizers. The calamari was perfectly crunchy and a generous portion. I had the spaghetti carbonara and it was a treat. The sauce was delish with the romano cheese and egg yolk. There was plenty of guanciale/pork in the dish to get me full. I sampled the bff's spaghetti with clams in the white wine sauce and it was packed with flavor and had plenty of clams. The penne and fettucine dishes at our table were also on point. It's great to know that I don't have to drive down to the strip if I'm fiending authentic Italian dishes. I'm looking forward to trying more dishes but that's another tale. Enjoy! =)

What a find

By Loren L |

If you want a great meal at a reasonable price this is your place. We went looking for good authentic food and we found it. The ambiance was nice the wait staff was attentive and the food was out of this word. The flavors were right on and the portion sizes were plentiful. We all left satisfied and had a great dining experience.

Great Neighborhood Restaurant

Great little Italian restaurant with nice ambiance and even better food. Better than the restaurants on the strip & has great prices.

We will be back

By Siennaskies |

Always looking for good Italian food. We were all very pleased with our dishes which included, Caprese Salad, Veal chop, Sea Bass with Miso and Pasta in olive oil and seasonings with Seafood. Service was good as well.

Great Italian Food!

By Anita C |

The food is great! Traditional Italian cooking. Eggplant parmigiana is delicious. Meatballs are like my nonna used to make. The owners are from Palermo, Sicily and add that friendly, Italian touch to the excellent service. They were so patient with me as I practiced my long-forgotten Italian language with them! It's a comfortable, very clean, relaxed atmosphere. This was our first visit, but it has now become our go-to place for Italian cooking.

Authentic Italian dishes with Friendly Service!

By Michael T |

Happy to see this family open this location after moving from previous spot in Southern Highlands. They have retained all of their fine dishes and friendly Italian service. Have been here several times since their move and is one of our top dining spots in Henderson.

Very good and reasonably priced Italian restaurant

By Bob R |

Very good food as well as excellent service and reasonably priced. Servers are very attentive and food portions, in addition to being very good are also very large. I would recommend Trattoria Italia one of the best and most reasonably priced restaurants in this busy neighborhood.

Hands down the best Italian in Vegas!

By susanintheskies |

The staff is beyond amazing and there are no words to describe the cuisine. Absolutely fabulous!!! Every bite an actual explosion of delight!!!

True Authentic Italian

By bears60 |

The food is more than delicious. The pizza is made to order and they do not skimp on the items you ask for. The lasagna is a big portion and melts in your mouth. The chicken parmesan sandwich is huge and the bread is really soft. The free garlic knots and the salads are also great. The service is the best! Carmela the owner is great and Natalia our server was outstanding. You will not be disappointed in this restaurant. The rest room is very clean as is the restaurant. Thank you for great meals every time we visit!

Charming Italian restaurant in Henderson, NV

By Anthony S |

Trattoria Italia is a charming Italian restaurant in Henderson, NV. The food is excellent, the portions large, the menu extensive and the prices are moderate. The management and wait staff are charming and attentive. The location is in the Panera Bread strip mall on the west side of Eastern Ave. which is a very small strip mall and has a very specific entrance. I recommend Trattoria Italia

Lasagna was lame

By Tim W |

Lasagna was pretty lame....and small for the cost. Also, no salad or garlic bread. Most places include that, especially at that cost. Lobster ravioli was good, but not a lot for that cost. No salad. Did have some dinner rolls, but there was no butter for it. Most places include that.
