I really wanted to like this restaurant, but the end result left me wanting more. The bread basket was good, but the Mozzerella en Carozza appetizer was so greasy we didn't finish it. I had the roasted beet salad and my husband the Ceasar salad. The beets were all in huge chunks and it looked like no care had been taken when cutting them. My husband said the Ceasar was nothing special. For our entrees, I ordered the Pesto Lasagna and my husband the Chcken & Shrimp Fra Diavalo. He enjoyed his and I loved the pink sauce on mine, but the pasta tasted only of cheese not pesto. The service was good and the wine list was nice, but I'm not certain that we will dine here again.

This has been on our must-try list for more than a year based on the Yelp reviews. Unfortunately it did not measure up to our expectations. This is definitely more of a neighborhood Italian restaurant but it tries to be a bit more elevated with it's dishes and pricing. I don't believe it achieves it. The restaurant itself is fairly small holding a capacity of under 100 diners. The atmosphere is more of a casual neighborhood restaurant. There are full-height windows throughout the dining area. However these were all covered with solid rolling blinds when we arrived, we assumed, due to the summer sun. However after sundown they were never rolled up leaving the dining area to feel like a small dark space. The service was good, not over-the-top impressive but also not neglectful. One of the oddest experiences however was that the chef, presumably Marc, had made his presence in the quaint dining room twice during the course of our meal stopping at every table each time except ours. Two of us ordered the 7-course tasting menu. Overall all items were good however a bit heavy on the seafood items. I will blame myself for not speaking up when the waitress asked if there was anything that we would not eat. While there wasn't my son, who was the other tasting menu order, will eat about anything but would have preferred less seafood selections. We had ordered a charcuterie plate for the table for an appetizer. We were underwhelmed by the selections, quantity and presentation. It was a platter of: 4-rolled slices of each mortadella and soppresata, 6-small pieces of aged provolone, 10-olives, and 1-quarter of roasted artichoke. My daughter ordered the Chicken Riggies which was rigatoni noodles with chicken, pancetta, jalapeno peppers in a red sauce. There is a similar dish served at Salute ad Red Rock Casino that she likes so this dish piqued her interest. She again was underwhelmed with this dish. My wife ordered a bowl of the Pasta e Fagioli soup. This was very good according to my her. She also sampled along with my son and my tasting meals and she too liked most of the courses. There are some pros. The wait staff was attentive and friendly, some of the food was very good, and it is conveniently located off of the Strip. The cons were that there was too much inconsistencies and they try too hard to be an elevated Italian restaurant in a city full of great options.

Chef Marc's, in my opinion, is one of the most underrated restaurants in Las Vegas. It has an amazing menu filled with wonderful Italian (of course - Chef Marc is the real deal) goodies. When my SO and I went there this past summer, we were treated to the likes of Short Rib Malfatti (a kind of elongated ravioli), Veal Parmesan, and other special dishes because we had "Chef's Table" service! Because the restaurant is small, you can't actually sit in the kitchen and enjoy, but it doesn't matter. The food is good anyway! The Trattoria is located on the SW corner of Sahara and Durango, about six and a half miles from the Strip. Just go. You won't get a dinner like that on the Strip without paying an arm and a leg! Enjoy! And to expand on one of the additional questions asked of reviewers - no, this is not a vegan-friendly place. While there are a couple of dishes that are all vegetable, no animal products, the dishes are classic Italian, made with meats, cheeses, broths, and seasonings. The food is luscious.

We visited this restaurant in the spring and sat outside. The food was OK, but it was extremely pleasant to sit outside, eat and visit with our friends. The location is a little hard to find because the restaurant is behind an Outback Steakhouse. We came back in scorching July and had dinner inside. It was incredibly noisey. Two of us ordered the Picatta dishes. We found the coating to be very pasty. One of our party ordered a Parmesan disk and it was ok. To summarize: We've been to Marc's previous restaurant 'Parma' and enjoyed it more.

Marc’s Trattoria is a special treat for anyone that appreciates authentic Italian food. The pasta is made fresh and the gravey is outstanding (not directly out of a can). It’s the only Italian Restaurant in Las Vegas where you can find fresh (not frozen) seafood prepared in a variety of Chef Marc’s delicious recipes. The restaurant is very clean and attractive with a good assortment of wine. And the service is outstanding. If not ultra busy, Chef Marc visits your table to explain his specialties.

Fabulous service only matched by the food. Found this place while staying at the Best Western west on Sahara. What a surprise to be found in a strip mall. Sam the waiter was very friendly with impeccable service. The “tomato pie” bread was outstanding. I had the Cappaletti Bronte, a pasta dish which I will come back for next time I’m in town. Go visit.

We had a delightful Italian dinner at Chef Marc's. The food was excellent and the prices particularly of the pastas were moderate. They have a very varied wine selection. The décor is mediocre. The restaurant was very crowded and fun. Chef Marc is very friendly and attentive. The wait staff was charming and professional. The location is in the Summerlin area of Las Vegas

What a delight! Thank Chef Marc for a special night and a most delicious meal. Had the Wild Boar Bolognese and seriously considered licking the plate clean!

We have been dining at all of Marc's many restaurants fir the past 10 years in vegas. He opens a new restaurant every several years and either sells or closes the others. This new one is the best of all the rest. The food is the best Italian anywhere and the atmosphere is also the nicest.

Real deal. Ched Marc has a passion for Italian food and it shows he is so present in the restaurant explaining everything your experience while eating his preparations!

A friend of mine recommended this; she is from MN, I am from Seattle. She said it was great. Well, as a neighborhood place it is indeed very good. If I lived in that area, I'd probably be there once a month. But as on out of Townes, nor only is it a 25 minute drive from the strip (traffic) it is indeed just a locals place. Nothing wrong with that. Eggplant was very good. Soup was very good. Everything else fine. Which as a local place, that is great. We went on a Sunday an "chef Marc" I suspect was not in.

This local favorite's excellent reputation is richly deserved. The atmosphere is buzzy, but not so noisy as to inhibit conversation. There is a lot going on, as the serving staff and Marc himself move from table to table keeping tabs on things. And the kitchen does a superb job with Chef Marc's imaginative, wonderfully-realized northern Italian menu. We arrived here purely by chance. Not knowing anything about restaurants near our motel, we were walking toward Outback Steakhouse (and not looking forward to it) when I spotted Marc's inconspicuous sign on the other side of the parking lot and decided to investigate. And am I ever thankful! My veal was served with a wild mushroom-pancetta sauce (with a light touch of truffle) that I can only describe as almost heavenly, and the accompanying fava beans were just the right vegetable for this dish. My wife's Chicken Scarpariello was sauced with spicy sausage and served on a beautiful polenta. The portion sizes were perfect. The wine list is superb. I treated myself to a glass of super Tuscan and was reminded once again how magnificent these beautiful wines can be. If we're ever in Las Vegas again (which is doubtful), we'll definitely be back.

The service was great. The selection was varied and complete. The menu is of a mid-northern Italian entree. Extensive wine list

This restaurant is now closed at the Sahara location and Marc has moved his operations towards the Strip and inside the Ahern Hotel. Food history is worth hunting down the new location and he’ll be missed on the West side :(

Chef Marc has been serving up Sin City's best Italian cuisine for decades. Our 5 course New Year's Eve dinner was spectacular with a spectacular lamb middle course and extraordinary fresh halibut dish. A great way to end 2017.

We live near this place and had tried it once before. Was not impressed. Friends wanted to try it so we went again. The service was SO slow. Can't complain about our waiter because he was very attentive and apologetic. Not enough servers or cooks. We were there two and a half hours. Food was just average, prices way too high for what you got. There are a lot more restaurants in this area that are better.

My dinner at Chef Marc's was my best meal in Las Vegas. The staff was attentive and Chef Marc was great. One can tell how much he loves food and cooking for people.

Wow. Again, we hadn’t made reservations so we were trying to find where we could get a good dinner before 10pm. This trattoria popped up in a search. We couldn’t figure out why the ratings were high but the reservations we so available. Well…we walked in and it was like a ghost town. Clearly the hotel is in the middle of an owner change and therefore a major renovation (previously a Chinese themed hotel and now Chef Marc is redoing the restaurants). We almost walked but out but as this is wasn’t on the strip it wasn’t like we could walk next door. We decided to view it as an adventure and just enjoy it. Boy did we ever. The appetizer of mushrooms, spinach and cheese far outshone expectations. Wine list wasn’t crazy Vegas extravagant. Clearly they are building their cellar but had solid, solid choices. The caesar salad also surpassed expectations and was delicious dressing with baby gem romaine and plenty of cheese. Entrees were the boar ragu, spaghetti and meatballs and the piece de resistance was the spaghetti and shrimp. WOW! Not just olive oil, garlic and cheese, but they added in some Meyer lemon and it was DELICIOUS. Manager, whose name we didn’t catch, was charming, informative and cared about our experience. Would definitely go again. Will be interesting to see what the lobby looks like next time we go.

Our family truly enjoyed our meal here! The food was delicious, and our waiter Caesar was exceptional. They accommodated the kids by serving smaller portions of pasta with rich Alfredo sauce and spaghetti with one large meatball. My oldest had a shrimp pasta, my husband had a chef specialty, and I enjoyed chicken parmesan. We even tasted and took some gelato to go!

Your Vegas visit must include dinner here. The food and service were fantastic. We ate at the kitchen counter and watched Chef Marc and his team at work. Chef Marc took the time to explain his dishes and was a wonderful host.

We celebrated my mother's 85th birthday with a party of 10. It was wonderful we shared most of the food and the chicken marsala was delicious. We brought our own cake and they charged us $10 to serve it-well worth the price since she was able to have her favorite cake.

My wife and I enjoyed going to one of Chef Mark's restaurants at a prior location on Lake Mead Blvd so we were happy to hear he had opened a new place on Sahara. We went on a Sunday night and had reservations which I strongly recommend. While they provide chairs outside to wait for a table when it's 108 degrees outside even the awning above the chairs wouldn't help. I've always enjoyed the pork chop El Chico which Mark tells me is his father's recipe. I order it as a 3 on a 1 --5 hotness scale which gives it a hot/spicy kick but you still know it's a pork chop. It was excellent. I'm not a fan of polenta so I requested a side of pasta which was tasty but the noodles were a little overcooked/soft for my taste. My wife had the chicken marsala with mushrooms which she thought was excellent even the leftovers for lunch the next day. The service was outstanding; very attentive without being overly obtrusive. We had a nice talk with Chef Mark reminiscing about the old place and it was good to see him again. We had a really good dinner and would definitely recommend Chef Mark's Trattoria except on nights we go as I don't want to wait for a table.

we have been go to Marc's restaurants for 10 years. This current one is the best of all he has had. The food is the best of almost any italian restaurant anywhere is the US from apps to dessert. Everything is home made fresh with the best ingredients and recipes. The service is very good and nice decor. What more is there to say or recommend??

This is a good Italian restaurant but I had a few issues during my visit. I ordered the rigatoni with meatballs and Italian sausage, for a side dish I ordered the peas and prosciutto. I had to send back my first order of peas and prosciutto because it was extremely salty. The manager Kenny immediately remedy this issue had dish remade. My main course of rigatoni was extremely flavorful but there were certain parts of the pasta that was very warm and others were not very warm, the overall flavor of the pasta was delicious. The best part of the main course was the meatball, it was cooked perfectly. The meatball was tender and had a lot of flavor. Overall, this was a good meal for the portion size flavor and price. The manager did an excellent job of being attentive to all the customers, other than my slight issues my meal was good.

Decided to make a reservation for dinner with some friends. The place was packed.... The food awesome..... The service right on and the price just right. Check it out. Make a reservation or you might get turned away.

Tucked away in the lower level of the convention center is this truly wonderful Trattoria. The service staff was excellent, knowledgeable, and friendly. The wine list is extensive and the menu had a great variety of choices. I love Milanese and they had a chicken Milanese which was lovely. The atmosphere here is relaxed and the decor was very charming. One of the best meals I have had in Las Vegas. You must try this place.

A friend of mine called to say she was coming to town and wanted to meet for dinner. When I asked where she wanted to go and she told me to chose I immediately thought of this place which I had been wanting to try. I have followed Chef Marc from his first Las Vegas restaurant on Lake Mead and Tenaya to Mezzo, then Parma and now here. This menu is larger and there are lot of new items on the menu but some of the old favorites are still there. First we shared a Buratta Salad and our waitress asked if we wanted heirloom tomatoes added which I thought was very nice touch. It was incredibly delicious. My friend had Veal Picatta and she said it was better than some of the Italian food she had recently had on her trip to Italy. I had the Shrimp Fra Diavolo and when I was ordering the waitress asked how hot I wanted it on a scale from 1-5. I ordered a three but didn't find it hot at all. It was very good however I found some of the shrimp to be overcooked.I have to say that it was quite noisy but the food was still as good as ever. I would definitely come back here.

Nice place with great food. It is hard to understand why the name has discrepancy between the hotel and trip advisor. We loved our experience, the service was great friendly and the food affordable and excellent. We try two kind of pizzas and starters. The fries were to die for 😋

Went to Chef Marc's with friends and had a wonderful time. Chef Marc personally came to our table & explained the menu and gave his personal recommendations. Food was outstanding! Every meal was presented and tasted fabulously. The portions were perfect. The chef came out afterward and asked if everything was to our expectations. He even took a picture of our table!

The atmosphere felt casual and friendly, yet somewhat confused, in this small, loud restaurant. Meatballs and chicken piccata were well prepared and tasty. Arugula salad was ok, but the Caesar salad was excessively dressed. An additional dish of pasta which comes with entrees seems unnecessary. There were some good wine options on the list. If one must dine near to Durango and West Sahara, this is a reasonable choice and better than nearby chain restaurants. I'm not sure I would go out of my way for it, though.

We’ve lived near this restaurant for years, but we were not aware of the charm and excellent food. We were welcomed immediately upon on our arrival which set the tone for a lovely, tasty evening. Excellent food. Exceptional service. A little hidden must go to gem!

Chef Marc runs a great restaurant. The food is awesome and Chef typically makes himself available to talk with customers about his fresh ingredients and inspirations for new dishes. Every time we eat there, we leave with smiles and are happy we chose Chef Marc’s. In a town with many restaurant choices we’re lucky to have found this gem.

A deceptive location in a strip plaza, west of town. VERY CLEAN, open room suitable for all Bright, with windows and a full bar. The entire experience from drinks through appetizers and dinner were very good. Standard italian fare and some very old country recipes to tease your taste buds.

Chef Joel's food is excellent and reasonably priced. They also have a variety of dishes. The service was good, and the atmosphere was contemporary elegant. We've been there about 4 times this year and always find the food and service to be very good. Ron & Oksana

This is the closest thing to REAL Italian food! Homemade pastas daily, local in season ingredients, chef Marc turkey cares about your experience and the food he puts on the table! Bravissimo!

We showed up without a reservation and they were full. But they had an option for us to sit at the bar which faced the kitchen with a half wall (plexiglass) between nus and the kitchen staff. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience watching them cook and prepare all of the meals and being able to ask questions about the meals as they made them. Helped my wife make a choice on what she wanted. The head chef, Chef Marc was there and talked many times with us explaining how they did things and even where they got their ingredients. So I know not everyone would want to sit at a bar or face the kitchen, but for us it was a nice experience.

Chef Marc has hit it out of the park with his best restaurant yet. Opened just a few weeks ago and I have dined there twice. Both times were absolutely amazing, taking two different foodie friends and they were also highly impressed. All the food is fresh and made in house including the amazing bread. Fresh seafood daily along with homemade gnocchi which on both of my visits was available with Osso Bucco gravy, it was so amazing the first time I asked for it again even though it was not on the menu he made it for us. The veal tender and cooked just right. His menu is well thought out and adds his personal twists to old and new favorites. This hidden gem will not be hidden long as word is spreading fast. Closed Monday & Tuesday but he is available for private parties which is a huge plus. Prices are some of the best in the city for the high quality food & experience. The wait staff Lino & Marco were very professional and friendly. If your lucky Chef Marc's wife Nadia may have made some chocolate bites that day and share with you. Will be going back next week for a work dinner. Best of luck Chef Marc!!

Chef Marc Sgrizzi has a good following in Las Vegas. We were sorry when he closed his deli, Parma, and glad when we found his new restaurant in the lake area of Summerlin. We were a party of 4; two ordered the filet mignon El Chico. It was cooked exactly to the temperature they like. Another ordered the linguine with white clam sauce. The clams were nice and small, but a bit sandy and there wasn’t much sauce which made the linguine too dry to enjoy. The veal involtini, which I had, was very good and some of the other say they will order that next time they dine there. We brought our own wine which the server opened for a $25.00/each corkage fee. The restaurant had been opened for about a month when we were they. They are setting up a patio for outside dining, which will be nice in the warm Las Vegas evenings.

From the outside it is not very inviting. However, once inside you enjoy comfortable chairs, Frank Sinatra music, attentive service and very special food. Chicken marsala and Eggplant parmigiana were excellent.

New favorite Italian restaurant! Casual attire with black-tie quality food. When you grow up first generation Italian with your parents from the old-country, this is how your mother cooks! The food is truly artisan and amazingly delicious. The rigatoni boar bolognese with peas was remarkable, the grilled octopus in olives was unique. The service was friendly, welcoming and attentive. The restaurant in smallish, but the food they put out is world class, even by Vegas standards! You will not be disappointed. Make reservations; we arrived Saturday night just before 6 without reservations. They were very accommodating. Place filled up very quickly. Chef Marc made it a point to stop at every table to visit all his patrons; very impressive. His demeanor was so friendly and down-to-earth. We’ll be back again!

I ate at Chef Marc's after working an event in the building. The first thing you notice is a chef who truly loves the food he creates. We did the tasting table and tried several menu items.Chef Marc made a tagliatelle with oxtail ragu which was amazing. He also made a dish called Uttica greens which was very good. The big surprise for me was the Butternut squash soup. I have never liked squash soup but this was brilliant as well. Made with balsamic and parmesan i actually ate 2 bowls of it. Then the steak pizzaiola to finish the meal. It was a great cut of meat that melted in your mouth with an amazing spaghettini with an amazing sauce. Next comes the dessert sampler. Tiramisu and tiramisu gelato both very good but the coconut gelato is the best of the bunch. The amazing part is the kid who makes the gelato for the restaurant. He is related to Chef Marc and has the same love of food the chef displays. The added bonus is at the tasting table you get to hear the stories of the food directly from the chef. All in all the best dining experience I have had in Vegas and probably anywhere.

Chef Marc greeted us at our table after we arrived and got settled. He was friendly and professional and serious about his food. We chose linguini with clams and white sauce, it was finished with delicious salty bread crumbs. They accommodated my son with a child size portion of chicken parm, so good too! My husband had grouper special. Everything was cooked perfectly! We would definitely go back again when we are in the Las Vegas area!

We found out that the Parma by Chef Marc was closed and did a search and found that he has moved into another building and opened as Chef Marc's Trattoria. I wanted something different from my last meal at Parma so I ordered Pappardelle Bolognese. I was not disappointed and in fact delighted. The taste of well prepared meals is something we all should be experiencing at every meal in all of our lives. I count myself fortunate to be able to eat at his places and experience what it is to eat well.

Chef Marc opened this location after closing his former deli/restaurant, Parma. First visit to this location was prompted by Restaurant Week, which is an annual event, in which participating restaurants donate a portion of the check to Three Square Food Bank. I choose to order the prix fixe, three course dinner costing $40. For my appetizer I selected an heirloom tomato and burrata salad with microgreens and a balsamic glaze. So good I wanted to lick the plate!! My second course while tasty, was not as much to my liking due to the spice level. Even though I went with the most mild spice level, on my filet, it was a bit too spicy for my liking. The meat was cooked to perfection and nicely accompanied by brocollini and polenta. Dessert for me was a yummy tirimisu. Nice selection of wines by the glass, is an added plus. I will return for more of Chef Marc's offerings. Service was very pleasant, though a bit slow between courses. Not a problem as we were up for a leisurely experience.

Went with friends on Saturday night (make reservations), for a nice dinner. Followed Chef Marc from his other places and again was not disappointed. The restaurant itself is very stylish and charming. Our server was very personable and had a great sense of humor. What sets this restuarant apart from many others is that the chef actually greets you at you table and explains in depth all the different choices on the menu as well as how he can prepare your dish that’s not on the menu. I chose dishes not on the menu and he was spot on. My friends also opted to try other choices and were just as thrilled with the chef’s suggestions. The restaurant is a bit pricey but well worth it. The night was a success and recommend this trattoria for all to try. I most certainly will be returning.

This restaurant is so beautiful with the perfect ambiance for any occasion. Chef Marc is an outstanding chef, his creations always leave us wanting to return again. Such a creative, culinary master. On a special occasion try his tasting menu. You will not be disappointed. Bring a good appetite.

Trattoria by Chef Mark is highly recommended - Excellent Food, Perfectly Prepared, Great Service (even has a Robot Serving Cart), Delightful Ambiance, Constantly changing Menu - Serves Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. It is one of the hidden Gems in Las Vegas located in the new Ahern Botique Hotel. Every meal we had since finding Trattoria by Chef Mark has been a delightful surprise - reasonably priced with very few pricy items. Top Rate in every way.

Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in. We were warmly greeted and seated promptly. Our waiter was outstanding and the food and service amazing. Chef Marc even came out and chatted with us, apparently he has plans to enhance the patio dining area which is definitely a plus! The calamari and fresh fish of the day (grouper) were outstanding. The fresh made bread and marinara sauce were excellent. We will be returning soon!

Fabulous tonight was first time got there right at opening great service fresh made food waiter gave me choice of sauce for my wife's manicotti excellent marinara sauce. I had linguini nero which he loved. Calamari was tender and light and the tiramisu was melt in your mouth. Additional plus we live right around the corner so it is close. Will be going back more often.

I was really hoping for an excellent meal considering the bill would be over $100 for two dinners. The reviews led me to believe that my wife with dementia would enjoy the experience. The bread they brought out was slightly warm and stale; only fit for croutons. With a very limited appetizer menu I asked if they had Calamari. The friendly waiter asked the kitchen and it was available. Later our order came out way, way less fried/crispy than we've ever experienced. My Veil Parmesan was nice except for the 15% or so that was not veil but baked into the meal and could not be cut or eaten. My wife's steak could not be chewed so she had to remove it from her mouth as swallowing it was not an option. Our side dishes of pasta were only warm and stuck together. We left what was inedible and the waiter said sometimes you get such problems. No adjustment was offered. We paid and left. I left my phone/camera in the car as not to be interrupted during our meal or there would be pictures here. Every other place we've eaten in Vegas had superior Veil and Steak. If you check my reviews on travel sites I have only given 1 bad review (ever). That place closed shortly after.

There were so many good things about this place! Chef Marc came out and talked to us, showing us pics of his specials on his phone. He was charming and enthusiastic. We were a group of four and service was friendly and very, very good. We felt the wines were overpriced, although the wine we chose was great...we had two bottles. The main "downside" was the noise level on a hot Saturday evening (6:00 PM). We had to yell across the table to be heard. Because our food was served nice and hot, and with lots of flavor and creativity, and because the service was great, we will return on another evening.

Our friends frequented Marc's other restaurants in the past and wanted to try this new location since it was close to our home in Summerlin. I am hard to please since I am Italian born and very discriminate with food. Most of the time in Vegas, I find that the Italian food is a big disappointment. However last night, I was pleased with the experience. We started with fried calamari--very lightly battered and cooked perfectly, buratta with heirloom tomatoes perfectly presented with aged balsamic vinegar over greens, and mozzarella carozza--fried fresh mozzarella with a side of marinara sauce--outstanding dish. Then we ordered fruitti di mare in red sauce--the linguine was "al dente", the sauce was tasty and just spicy for great flavor, the seafood of shrimp, calamari, clams and mussels was fresh. Veal Saltinbocca was adequate--good but not the best veal-served with mushrooms, and eggplant slices, good flavor. the best was my Pork Cop El Chico( not an Italian name). Essentially it was with vinegar peppers infused with red wine reduction browned in a cast iron and then cooked thoroughly in the oven. It was tender and tasty considering that it was double thick. It came with polenta, peppers and broccoli rabe. A great dish. The other main was gnocchi bolognese which was above average. Irina, our waitress, spoke Italian which was very encouraging since it is an Italian restaurant. She was very thorough and spoon with her explanation and, Marc introduced himself and over seen all the courses, a nice touch. We will be visit again to enjoy another surprisingly good meal at a local location.

Trattoria by Chef Marc was recommended to us recently while on vacation in Vegas. It is off the strip but worth the visit. The restaurant is big and open. The menu had lots of options and the food was delicious & Service was great. We had the charred Octopus, bufalo caprese salad and the garlic bread - so good. Followed by the homemade pasta with short ribs (deconstructed Lasagna) , the chicken parm with pasta. It was our anniversary and they brought us out a piece of Tiramisu on the house What a great meal

I've been checking out reviews for this place for a while and my husband decided to try for our anniversary dinner. We were not disappointed. It was a perfect way to end our day. We had reservations at 6pm but for a Thursday night probably didn't need it. Service: 5/5 friendly and professional. They made us feel like we were the most important table in the place. Chef Marc came to our table several times and we really appreciate it. We love hearing the stories behind the dishes. Never had to ask for a water or wine refill. They were on the service without being over bearing. I do apologize I completely forgot our servers name but he was a delight. Great Italian accent! Food: 5/5 they do offer a chefs tasting menu for $65 however my heart was set on other items but we will be back to for that. Octopus 5/5: moist and perfect Burrata 5/5: creamy and worth the calories Veal 5/5: flavor flavor flavor Malfiata 5/5: omg!!!! Bread 5/5: fresh and soft center. Soft butter love it! Tip: corking fee $25 good deal! Overall definitely recommend this place. We will be back for sure! Thanks for a memorable anniversary dinner.

So glad we tried Chef Marc's for Restaurant Week! Each course was delicious and perfectly portioned even leaving us a little room for dessert and espresso. We'll be back for the chef's tasting menu. Loved the inconceivable Sicilian wine!

I visited Marc's last night by myself. I sat at the bar and decided to order one of the special appetizers. Every time I drop into this restaurant I end up ordering the Veal Chop. It's simply amazing both in quality and value. However, last night I wanted to try something different. I ordered the sausage and peppers. My grandparents were from Naples and my Grandmother was a typical Italian mamma that was always in the kitchen making incredible food. She died in 1974. As soon as the sausage and peppers arrived in front of me it was as if she had come back to earth and cooked this for me. The flavors were off the chart and unlike anything I've ever eaten in Las Vegas in the 2 years I've lived here. It's a $12 dish and definitely the best $12 I've ever spent in Vegas! Obviously this was the highlight of my dinner. I followed it with a couple of meatballs that were outstanding. To be honest I haven't spent too much time remembering my Grandmother lately, but last night she was literally with me from the moment I had the sausage and peppers placed in front of me until the moment I went to sleep probably 4 hours later. Even this morning I can't think about anything else!! I highly recommend Chef Marc's Trattoria on Sahara and Durango. If you call in and see a guy at the bar eating sausage and peppers it might be me :)

The food at this restaurant is simply incredible! It's genuine Italian and disarmingly delicious. The menu is changed frequently according to what ingredients are in season. There's something here for absolutely everyone. I couldn't decide where to have my upcoming birthday dinner, but now I need look no further than Chef Marc's. Do yourself a favor if you like Italian food: do whatever you have to do to get here and make a night of it. You will not be disappointed!

We stopped here for dinner. The restaurant is tucked away in a shopping center off the Strip. It is a small, cosy atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The menu is somewhat limited as Chef Marc cooks each item to order himself. We had the Portobello mushroom appetizer which was exquisite. The mushrooms are sautéed and served in a delicious four cheese cream sauce over baby spinach. There was just the right amount for two. I had the shrimp diavala at spicy setting 3. The shrimp were large, fresh, perfectly cooked in a tomato cream sauce with a peppery bite. They were served over a combination of gluten free pasta and zucchini threads that were delightful. My husband had the pork chop with creamy mashed potatoes and a spicy sauce at 3 out of 5. He loved his entree. We both agreed that 2 on the spice meter might be a bit better for us, but we very much enjoyed our meals nonetheless. Chef Marc is a personable guy who visits his tables frequently. The wine list is extensive and we chose two glasses of a Super Tuscan red wine which was perfect. We did not have dessert. We found our tab very reasonable and plan to return the next time we are in Las Vegas.

Looking for that perfect spot to enjoy a perfect Italian bite? Chef Marc has created a space that allows for delicious dining (don't miss the Yams! Really!), cozy conversation, unparalleled service (not an exageration), and/or COCKTAILS! The location is great, tucked in a neighborhood center, so a perfect way to avoid the hub-bub of the Strip and still feel extra special. GO! You will be delighted.

Enjoyed a wonderful evening in this quaint off the beaten path restaurant. Had reservations. Maybe not needed. One of the first nice days at the start of this spring season. Doors were opened to a nice patio, but still a bit cool. Menu has nice selections. The chef came out to tell us about the specials for the day and answer any question. Had me sold on the salmon. An excellent dish. We tried the calamari dinner as a appetizer. Worked out well. Others enjoy the Riggies and a pork chop, linquini with shrimp diavalo and a black pasta with lump crab. Everyone enjoyed their meals. To top it off we shared a birthday tiramisu. Excellent !

Extremely noisy to start with! My veal chop was sent back twice, the first time because it was overcooked and dried out. The second time they must have been annoyed that it was sent back the first time so they salted this one to death! Never was I asked if I would like something else instead, and not only was I charged for it but they even charged us for the scoop of gelato with a candle in it for my birthday! The restaurant was not busy at prime dinner time-6:30, and I now understand why, but it took forever for anything to come out of the kitchen, not the waitresses fault at all, infact she apologized. The clincher was they lost my husbands leftover pasta and just said-Oops!! What a shame!

Visited this restaurant on Valentine's Day. It was overbooked, but worth the wait. Food was excellent. Wine selection was very good, although pricey. Service was a bit overwhelmed and meal was delayed as well. Host manager was very accommodating and apologized for the long wait.

This is one of the best restaurants.. ever! Chef Marc is INCREDIBLE. Do not come here and get chicken parmesan and basic food like that or you are uncultured and have no sense of palette. Come here and let Chef Marc bring you whatever he creates using his freshest ingredients. It will be the best meal. Never fails and always looking forward to going back

Having been a fan of Chef Marc, through 3 previous locations, we decided to visit him again at his newest location ( 1 year old). Our friends arrived early and were already seated when we arrived. It was a Saturday night at 7:00, so they were busy and noisy. The menu selections were varied for an Italian Restaurant, i.e. 2 Black pasta entries. While our Waitress was new, and very attentive, the food was slow coming out of the Kitchen. A full Bar helped pass the time. It took approx. 2 hours to have Dinner, including Desserts. The quality of the good was very good, somewhat off setting the wait. All dishes are freshly made, including pasta. I had Linguini Nero (Black Pasta w/Calamari, artichoke & spicy sauce). It was very good. My wife also had a Black Pasta dish with Crab. All in all, it was an enjoyable meal with friends, and we'll be back.

... and we all had something different and we all said thumbs up ... besides chef marc will make you anything you want ... his his restaurants have been in various locations and we think he's found a permanent home ... not to big and not cheap either ... if you are concerned about the cost, check out the menu on line before you go ... but, his specials do sound mouth watering.

Chef marc moved his whole kitchen to 300West Sahara in the Ahern hotel. During the stay at home he and his staff cooked meals for first responders and offered a low price meny with some nice dishes (braised shortribs, a steal at $16). Now open for dine in! Superb Italian cuisine: I recommend the charred Mediteranean octopus appetizer, the caesar salad, the veal chop with pancetta, truffle butter and brandy sauce, an incredibly juicy pork chop, seafood black pasta.

WOW! My wife and I just had dinner at Marc’s Trattoria. Chef Marc’s Chicken Parmigiana is truly unbelievable. I have had Chicken Parmigiana in many restaurants in and out of Las Vegas and none can compare to Marc’s. The chicken is organic, juicy, tender and covered with delicious mozzarella cheese and a specially prepared tomato sauce. I was able to cut the chicken with my fork and the tomato sauce (gravy) was not raw (served directly out of a can). I usually order seafood at Marc’s because it is one of the few restaurants in Las Vegas that serve FRESH, not frozen seafood. Oh! And all his pasta is handmade....

This place has moved to a new location in the Ahern Hotel. Ambience is incredible with ceiling to floor windows and a great view. Food is superb. Garlic bread soaked in garlic butter and a little pesto. Sausage Castelrossa excellent. Short rib Malfatti very good. The deconstructed lasagna was excellent but the short ribs were a little dry for my taste, but still very tender. Linguini clams done very well. Roman Pindar pizza very traditional.

I have followed Chef Marc around town to all of his restaurants but this is the best. My son was visiting and he loves this place so we went for dinner. My son had the veal parmesan which he said was so soft that you could cut it with a fork. I had chicken cacciatore made with Organic Jidori Chicken and served with peppers and pappardelli noodles. The sauce was beyond belief. Service is fabulous.

Recently replacing Marc Sgrizzi's 6th restaurant in the past decade Trattoria by Chef Joel will soon be reformatting inside the Ahern Hotel, but on Saturday four guests sat down for a look at whats to eat on the tasting menu overlooking an open kitchen. Not a new Restaurant as opposed to basic rebranding, Joel Ott’s name replacing Marc on the marquis in Ahern’s lobby, it is alongside construction curtains that diners will find tables plus a counter suggesting what looks to have previously been a Buffet. Familiar with Ott from the Four Seasons, a pleasant man happy to discuss ideas present and future, Trattoria’s Tasting menu features straight-forward Italian Fare alongside “flights” of Wine that see everything described and poured at once with numbering to pair each with a course. Using a mix of robots and staff to serve, though the counter utilizes Ahern’s culinary team, course one offered a Beets and Burrata Salad followed by Spanish Octopus a bit overcooked alongside crispy Potatoes. Not sure if the Tasting changes frequently, all items served essentially portioned down from Trattoria’s usual list, the “Chicago-style” Calzone impressed all despite criticism from a supposed Deep Dish expert while the Meatball at its side was crumbly thanks to too much cooking time just like the Cheese on top. Improved with housemade Pasta, Osso Buco Ravioli reminiscent of Batali’s famous Beef Cheek version, Chef Ott’s Chicken Parmesan elevates a classic by cooking it extra thin and crispy beneath vibrant Tomato Sauce also served atop Rigatoni. Surf n’ Turf to finish, Prime NY Strip and Wild Shrimp prepared Scampi-style each cooked flawlessly, Dessert may not scream “Trattoria” but it is nonetheless successful with Carrot Cake and Sticky Toffee Pudding both better than most in Las Vegas and Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse Cake an unexpected winner.

Tonight I experienced the best Italian dinner, from the beef minestrone to short rib lasagna, the food was fantastic and the staff made the experience even better, on top of that Chef Marc came out and visited every single table and made every one feel special.

Every dish was off the charts awesome. Super nice staff and accommodating! House made pasta and amazing Oso Buco raviolis!

Delicious food. Chef Marc is on premises and cooking. This is not a chain restaurant. Love coming here. The Linguini Nero and Wild Shrimp Marinara are two favorites. Happy hour has great choices of food and drink and goes from 5 pm to 7 pm but only if you sit at the small bar or on the patio.

Great place to dine, sorta of hidden from view of the street. The chef is personable and food and service is excellent. Looking forward to returning soon.

I used to go to his other restaurant, now closed, and decided it was time to try his newest endeavor out - and am glad I did. A warm welcome and very good staff made the visit very enjoyable - a decent wine list and really good food. We've been about three times in the past few months and I can't wait to go again. Everything we had tastes fresh, well prepared and beautifully presented - pastas, meats, salads and deserts. It's becoming one of our regular places - nothing against chains, but a one-of-a-kind when it's as good as this is kind of great.

This place is off the beaten path, but don’t be fooled. It was some of the best Italian food we have ever had! Chef Marc does a fantastic job with some different dishes. He even stops by your table to check on everything. We had the chaser salad, exceptional, wild boar ad the best chicken riggies you will ever have! Would recommend to anyone who wants to eat someplace off the strip.

We dropped in on a gamble because the first restaurant we visited had a one hour wait. Our party was 8 (4 adults & 4 kids 8 to 15 years old). They were busy that night, but the staff seated us right away. Everyone had a wonderful meal & Chef Marc visited our table. The kids loved the meatballs and chicken Parmesan. The rib eye steaks were excellent. There were no disappointments. We enjoyed everything so much we went there again as a couple a few nights later. Again, everything was terrific and we had another personal visit from Chef Marc. We especially enjoyed the chicken Parmesan and veal Parmesan dishes.

Our favorite restaurant in Las Vegas, tucked into the Ahern Hotel. Relaxing ambiance.and food that never fails to impress! We started with garlic bread and an appetizer of “Utica Greens”. The garlic bread was perfectly crispy crusted, with a buttery garlic and cheese that perfectly paired with the Utica greens, a delicious appetizer of sautéed escarole, cheese and breadcrumbs, and a little kick of hot peppers. We opted for #2”heat” - just enough spice to enhance the flavor without burning the tastebuds. Then we moved to the main course - I had chicken parmigiana- a huge, lightly breaded cutlet in a delicious red sauce with what seemed to be several different cheeses which just enhanced the very tender and juicy chicken. The side of pasta was perfect as well. Unlike so many restaurants that plop “naked” pasta on a plate and top with a little sauce, this portion was evenly tossed in sauce and cooked al dente. My husband had the riggies with sausage in a red sauce. The portion was large with an excellent sausage. We finished the meal with an amazing dessert of cheesecake and homemade chocolate and vanilla gelato. The cheesecake is one of my favorites, but I’ve got to say, the chocolate gelato was so rich and creamy, it was difficult for me not to lick the plate clean - lol! Service was excellent! We never once had to flag the waitstaff for water or ice tea refills. The wine list is impressive. Yet, despite a very nice crowd, every time we’ve been there, no one hovers over your table as if to hurry you along. This time we saw a large party celebrating a birthday, several groups of business people, and definitely many couples. The ambiance is very relaxing, and while there’s background music, it’s not so loud you have a hard time carrying on a conversation. All in all a lovely spot to dine.

Chef Marc’s Chicken Parmigiana is made from jidori chicken. Jidori chicken refers to the type of mixed-breed domestic free range chicken known for it’s robust flavor. In addition to Chef Marc’s “home made” gravy the chicken is delicious and can be cut with a fork. It is worth a trip to Chef Marc’s Trattoria just to have this chicken dish. He also has FRESH seafood that is rare to find in Las Vegas.

This is a Tuscany food restaurant. The food is creative and is exactly what the menu says. Excellent service. Great house wine.

This review is way overdue, but I still want to let people know about our excellent experience! There were 4 of us dining at this restaurant over Thanksgiving trip to Vegas, and we couldn't be more pleased with our choice. Quality of food to price ratio was one of the best we found in Las Vegas. And price aside-the food was really delicious, portions were very good size, service was great, ambiance was really cosy and welcoming. If you can get chef Marc explaining the dishes to you and give recommendations, go for it! We told him we would like to eat what Italians would likely eat at this time of the year-meaning, dishes with the best seasonal ingredients. I think it helped him to narrow down some choices for us. We all loved Lobster Bisque-it was so good!!! Tortellini with butternut squash and sage were delicious; the branzino over squid ink linguine was my second favorite. One of us had wild boar ragu- it was really good. My least favorite was the rigatoni with duck, although my friend still liked it. We had 2 appetizers to share at the beginning, and that was too much food for 4 of us. Next time I would skip that. The food is rich and flavorful, so ask for recommendations on the amount. Speaking of desserts, I felt that cannoli was the best choice and tasted more authentic out of the ones we had (tiramisu and strawberry cake). Overall, we had a wonderful evening with delicious food and super friendly and personable service-I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back during my next trip to Las Vegas!

We went for our Anniversary and had such a great night. One of the best Italian meals we've had. Eggplant Parm was awesome. Music was great too-Frank Sinatra, Tom Jones-great classics. Its about 25 minutes from the strip but is totally worth it! We were able to get a taxi there and back. Chef Marc himself goes table to table and makes sure everything is just the way you like it and that you are happy and satisfied. We will definitely go back!

We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit last year. We returned four more times with friends and family, and regrettably, each visit was a regression. Last week was the most disappointing. We called for a reservation for six and stated that it was our anniversary. Aside from an"Happy Anniversary" from the waitress, there was no acknowledgment from Marc. We ordered a spaghetti carbonara for two to share with my son and daughter. $44.00 for the dish and besides over priced, it wasn't an authentic Carbonara but Marc's version of the dish ---too creamy, no evidence of eggs or grated cheese and too liquidity. The amount of Pasta served was insultingly small for the price. Another guest ordered a a living salad to start--minimum ingredients and disappointingly sparce ---$11.00 We ordered a chicken Milanese for our grandson-$24.00 with a small side of fries, no veggies or pasta side---he ate only one piece a bit high for a child's portion. I ordered the pork chop El Chico, i always enjoyed this signature dish in the past. Not tonight--wasn't juicy or tender but tough and overcooked--left half of it. Others ordered Branzino and grouper --$36.00 each. It wasn't the whole fish only a filet of the fish. Tiny portion for that amount--overpriced. The waitress recommended the strawberry cake--just okay--$9.00 I ordered gelato for my grandson--$7 for a small scoop. Paying strip prices for an off strip location with average service and below average food on the occasion on our anniversary was very disappointing, and no acknowledgement from the owner or the staff---no class. Scratch this place off our list.

This restaurant is in the Ahern Hotel. When we went it wasn’t very busy. We were seated right away and were greeted by our server. It was a leisurely meal. The server was attentive but not smothering. The food was very good. I had the spaghetti and meatball and the meatball was huge. My husband had the chicken Alfredo dish. He felt that there was too much spinach in the dish. For dessert they had some traditional offerings - carrot cake, tiramisu, and cheesecake - as well as some new ones. We went with cheesecake and the carrot cake which were both delicious.

We were regulars a Parma which has now closed. Just visited with party of four on a busy Sat night. Service was great! Nice ambiance but loud. Meal started off well but..... Had meatballs as appetizer, very good. Chopped salad Meh Sorry no octopus we are out! Had requested 2 orders. So now really disappointed. Wedding soup slightly salty but very tasteful. Shrimp Scampi average dish with al dante pasta. Frutti di Mar / Linguini very good with generous shellfish. Parpadelle Bolognese not as good as it use to be at Parma but still solid. Veal Chop Parm horrible.Large portion tasted like it was sitting in pan of oil prior to serving. Not crisp at all. Dish was comped off bill but ruined the meal for me. Many apologies by server and Marc but all agreed. No desert even though we indicated birthday on reservations but great cappachino and expresso. Might be off night because new and busy. Not sure would return.
unforgivable
we were so looking forward to trying this restaurant but, unfortunate we cant review the food cause the service was non existent and it seemed to be just w the waiter we had. our reservation was for 7pm we were seated promptly water came waiter came to give suggestions and take our order. ordered wine, appetizer, salad and dinner at the same time. Needless to say wine never came till we asked the "matre de" got the wine and not the waiter that decanted the wine. Another long wait had to again say ? what about salad mine came and i asked the waiter why the long delay he stated it was the kitchen's fault not his and i said he never even came back to tell us. i then told the "hostess" about the prob her answer she has nothing to do w the back and she was a fended that a customer was raising her voice to her. any other restaurant of this caliber would have had the manager come out to assess the situation not here it was like the customer was out of line granted the Summerlin crowd will forgive and forget but, the out of towners who are a little more discriminating will find fault. it's unheard of that the front is not concerned about the back
