This place has an exotic menu like no other place. It offer dishes inspired by local US cuisine but also it has others inspired by the rest of the world. The Korean Ribs are a must but to be shared, if you feel like you want to try something more sweet then the Custard Lava French Toast is the way to go! Also try the Curry Crabcakes as a starter

A real variety of cuisines here from around the world. The food was OK and came quick. Some of the dishes were too spicy. Thought the prices were too high.

We recently tried this new Houston restaurant and loved it. The owner/chefs have put a lot of thought into menu offering a great twist on international cuisines mixed with some typical favorites. We had the butter chicken and the vegetable platter which were both excellent. There are many dishes we’d like to go back and try. We were very impressed the owner introduced himself and spent time speaking with us. We eat out frequently and find that we tend to go back to places where service is exceptional and the owner/staff care about their guests. The location has plenty of parking and the inside is very nice. We highly recommend this new Houston gem!

If you still haven’t been to Traveler’s Restaurant - it’s worth the trip. Great menu / great atmosphere / great drinks. Place never disappoints! Five stars in my book!

Why 5 stars? Great food, great service, great bar!! a trifecta! We started with the pork belly, cooked to perfection, salmon tartar, and roasted corn soup (best ever). Our entrees included a wholesome, falling off the bone oxtail, a very flavorful soft shell crab pad thai, and a kickin spicy jerk chicken...all wonderfully flavorful and a nice variety. The miss was the salmon tartar...just not enough salmon. The drinks were good, our fav was the Plumed Serpent! Good pours on the wine too. Thank you for a great meal and evening Traveler....we'll be back!

My cousin and I came here for an early dinner around 5 pm cause we were totally influenced by some reels on IG lol. We made reservations online just in case it got packed, but around that time it wasn't so bad yet though it did pick up maybe around 6 pm. Make note that the small parking lot they have is valet only, which is a little wild to me. There is street parking available nearby just be mindful of the sections that are tow zones. We were greeted and sat quickly by the host, and our server brought us our waters and let us look over the menu in a respectable amount of time. We had ordered the shiitake edamame dumplings as a starter (5 pieces), and I had gotten myself the name of the rose drink. My server had warned me it's more of a floral drink, which I didn't mind and actually quite loved! I liked the refreshing tones of pineapple juice and lemon; I feel like they mixed in well with the vodka. The dumplings were a low-key miss for me though cause I felt that they were a little chewy. I'm not sure if it was the wrapper that wasn't cooked through or if it was supposed to be like that? Either way that was probably the dish I didn't like the most. However, our entrees were perfection! We had inquired how big the portions would be, and we were still pleasantly surprised by how shareable they actually are! Our server was great in bringing us new utensils after our appetizer and even brought a serving spoon since she knew we'd be sharing our entrees. The pad Thai was so flavorful, really mixing in that sweet and savory in one dish. The soft shell crab was fried to perfection and gave such a satisfying crunch when bit into. I've only ever had oxtail in Filipino Kare-Kare, so this was a nice detour from that specific flavor profile. The sherry added in some nutty flavor that I believe paired quite well with the savoriness of the overall flavor with a pinch of sweetness from the mango. The only thing I wish was more oxtail cause man it was cooked to melt off the bone and into the mouth! We really wanted to make room for dessert, so we packed away the entrees and ordered the Japanese sakura cheesecake. We had originally wanted to get the lava cake, but unfortunately they were out of some of the ingredients. The cheesecake was a little different from your normal NY style as they used a cherry blossom soufflé as the main layer and then a vanilla custard. It was still pretty good and satisfied our sweet tooth though I do wish there was more custard. It was an overall wonderful experience, and I love that they have multiple dishes to choose from regarding the different regions of the world. We definitely have it in mind to visit again to try out the other dishes!

Atmosphere was nice and pretty. Waiters were well dressed and nice to us. Problems were the pricing on the food racked up pretty fast for what is alright food. Second our waiter forgot an entire plate of food for my girlfriend. We waited for like 30 mins assuming it was coming after we got our appetizer and my meal. Her order was never taken even though we repeatedly asked for it during the order process.

This will be our go to date night spot, where we bring friends when they visit, and the next spot on our list to check out for brunch. Usually when a restaurant specializes in certain cuisine the menu is limited but I love that there were so many great options. Our server, Andres, was great. He asked about dietary restrictions and has suggestions from drinks to dessert. The other staff members were very attentive, they cleared the tables, refilled water, etc. We had the margarita flight, whiskey flight, pork belly appetizer, the oxtail, Nigerian skewers, bread pudding, and the espresso martini. I know, it was a lot but we had a difficult time deciding! Everything was delicious! Not a single complaint. I can’t wait to go back and try more!

Great first experience at Traveler's Table and enjoyed New Year's Eve brunch. Oscar, our server, was the best we have had in a very long time. He was charismatic, informative about the menu, talked highly about the restaurant and always with a smile. We chose the Cast Iron Dutch Pancake, Blue Crab Eggs Benedict and Chiles En Nogada. The food was delicious, and presentation was beautiful. We also enjoyed a carafe of La Vie En Rose. We will definitely be back more times.

Our first visit (brunch) was a complete accident when our usual standby was overly crowded; we were driving by decided to give it a try. We couldn't have been happier with the food, the service, & the drinks. While eating, we started to talk about where we wanted to go for a special dinner we were hosting for twelve guests & thought, why not here? The new reservation was on the books before we finished our meal. Dinner & drinks were fantastic. There we some service slips along the way, but the restaurant was crowded & the staff was stretched thin. Their effort was commendable. As they get back to full staff (or diners slow down), this should fade into the past.

Great first experience for restaurant month. Great service, free valet, and the food was amazing. Unique combinations of ingredients and classy presentation. Will visit again!

We had an outstanding meal from start to finish. The Argentinian Provoleta and Crispy Pork Belly in Pasilla Sauce were incredibly delicious, flavorful starters. Cocktail were very good. Corn Soup and watermelon avocado salad...perfection. The mains the table had were all excellent, butter chicken, soft shell crab yellow curry, lamb, and salmon. Service was excellent other than our main dishes arrived while we were still eating our soups. This a place you could go every weekend and enjoy something new

AMAZING! Had dinner there on a Monday during restaurant month in Houston and it was good! The pad Thai is amazing! Bread pudding could have been warmed up so it paired well with the ice cream. Overall.... EXCELLENT FOOD EXPERIENCE! I’ll be returning!

Located in the popular Westheimer, Montrose corridor, Travelers Table doesn't disappoint. Tasty options and steak and seafood features on certain days. The small plate ceviche is my favorite ceviche in Houston. Wild mushroom ravioli was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Prices are competitive for the location and rising! Downside is limited street or lot parking but complimentary valet was available on a weekday dinner. Service is exceptional! Great vibes and decor at this establishment.

WOW, what a disappointment!!! I have been told by several friends that this place was great, don't know if they got lucky, COVID turned this place to junk, or bad night... Made reservations via Resy, had the option of inside or outside, kind of regretted that I didn't do outside since it was really nice outside and it was a little warm inside. The décor was nice, brighter lighting than most (must have read that one study saying dim lights made food perception lower). Our server was nice, but not very attentive. Didn't seem to know the menu very well. I started off with the Foreign Correspondent drink my date doesn't drink, so she went with their coffee. My drink reminded me of a Moscow Mule, very light and refreshing. Great summer drink. Her coffee was outstanding. Had a nice cinnamon flavor. For an appetizer, there was nothing gluten free that my date could eat, so we got the Mexican Street Corn Soup. I love elotes and I was really looking forward to this. The presentation was great, but the flavor was absent. After about a 1/4 way into it we conversed on how bland it tasted and decided we need some salt and pepper. After finally waving down a busser, we got some salt and pepper. I almost never put salt in my food at a restaurant. Still didn't do much. For the entrée she had the scallops, which were pretty good. I had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken, what a disappointment. On the menu it said boneless thigh meat. What I got was a leg and thigh, bone-in. I was dressed in a tuxedo for an event and didn't want something I had to work to get off the bone and possibly shoot onto my tux deboning the chicken. When I asked the server about it later, she said in a way of no big deal that they changed it recently. Would have been nice to know I was not getting what I was told I was ordering. Finally I wanted a last drink. Pointed out a large orange drink that looked tropical and she told me it was the Thai Me Up. When it was brought out, it was clearly not what I ordered, but the taste was what the Thai Me Up sounded like. Wow, so not good. Not once did the server ask about the flavor of the food and if everting was all right. Had to flag people down to get anything further than just the initial drink order and the starter. So disappointed. Will I go back? Nope, not worth it with so many other great restaurants in the area.

This was our first visit to travelers table and it won’t be our last. We came to celebrate something different for Christmas Eve brunch and we were not disappointed. The menu is one of the most unique collections of international flavors I may have ever seen. The service was excellent! Even though the restaurant was busy, our food came quick, hot and delicious. The entire staff was friendly and happy which added to the ultra cool vibe and ambience you get when you walk into the restaurant. On a final note, even though the menu was totally epicurean and a foodie heaven, the prices were remarkably reasonable. We had crab samosas as an appetizer and drinks along with our meal and the total bill was $100! I love this place!

Wonderful Wonderful Experience! Crispy pork belly in pasilla & crab samosas for small plates (great for sharing). Main entrees were Caribbean braised ox tails & banana leaf wrapped snapper (Seapearl NZ sauv blanc): most excellent! Houston this is the spot for great international flavors!

The Houston Concierge Association held their monthly business meeting at Traveler's Table where owner's Thy and Matthew Mitchell hosted our group to a fantastic evening of great food and drink at their wonderful establishment. There's no doubt that I will be adding Traveler's Table to my list of Exceptional Dining Experiences and recommending the restaurant to our hotel guest. I loved the explore- the-world-style menu, the food was phenomenal and Jonathan and company provided outstanding service to our group of twenty-five. I will be returning to try out one or more of their specials like Oyster Night! Hope to see you soon.

I came to visit friends in Houston and they brought me to Traveler's Table for a heated patio meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful. The place is intimate, yet lively. I ordered the Spice Trader for my first drink, and really enjoyed it. I think this drink is suited well for a pre-meal drink, as it is heavy on the flavor. A nice way to settle in. For appetizers, we ordered the Salmon Tartare Bites and the Belgian Mussels. The Salmon Tartare Bites were just perfect! I could eat 3 orders of them to myself. The mussels were also delicious. The broth was flavorful, fresh and light. Great to slurp up with a piece of bread. As you can tell from my review so far, I love seafood. So for my entrée, I ordered the Vietnamese Cha Ca, which is a tumeric, dill fish with some vermicelli noodles. WOW! The vegetables it comes with makes it fresh, the fried onions add a rich texture and the fish sauce really brings it all together. I haven't seen this dish offered on menus at other Vietnamese restaurants I've been to, and now I really wish it was! I didn't have enough room for dessert, and went with another Spice Trader cocktail instead. All in all, I think Traveler's Table tried to create a special, memorable dining experience, that was fun and unique. It really achieved that for me!

I have dined here quite a bit recently. Traveler’s table indeed! I appreciate this restaurant because they have such a wonderful menu with a variety of flavors, from all over the world. My favorite appetizers are the Pão de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread), the Argentinian Provoleta, Crab Samosas, and the Shitake edamame dumplings. Favorite entrees so far include the Warm Indian-Spiced Mango Salad, the Lebanese Manoush (aka my flatbread heaven), the South Indian Pumpkin Curry, and the Whole Roasted Branzino. The desserts are all delicious. They also offer a fabulous brunch on the weekends. My favorites are the Blue Crab Eggs Benedict and the Custard Lava French Toast, which is not too sweet at all, has a lovely custard center, and is served with fresh tropical fruit. When I travel to Houston, this is not a place that I will enjoy just once while I am there, the point is to eat here as much as I can when I visit Houston!

Everything was delicious!! Went for a friends birthday and was delightfully surprised! Blake our server was very helpful with selections. They have drinks and food from different countries and every bite was phenomenal!! We ordered so much and can’t pick one favorite. The curry was spicy but had developed flavors that kept you coming back for more. The flat iron steak was cooked perfectly. The mussel appetizer was yummy. The Brazilian cheese bread, fries, I mean everything was so good.

We had dinner at this restaurant. The food was okay but with some adjustments could be better. The appetizers were okay. I then had pad Thai and it was too sweet, almost syrupy. It would have benefitted also from a few vegetables. My daughter got a vegetarian curry, which she thought was okay. My wife had a chicken curry which she liked but did not agree with her.

I have to eat gluten-free and Brittany the server went through the menu with me, dish by dish, telling me how they could modify it to make it gluten-free. I was amazed someone took that much time with me. I was the only person in our party of 8 who had a diet restriction. The restaurant also offered Brazilian cheese bread for an appetizer, which was very good, and I was able to get flat bread with my entree. It is rare for me to get one type of gluten-free bread at a restaurant, much less two. I ordered the butter chicken and brought home leftovers. We had the flourless chocolate cake for dessert and it was incredible.

Amateur hour. Lost/late order on takeout, and food (finally) wasn’t good at all. Difficult to use curbside. Will not be back.

Excellent staff and the ambiance was lovely and not too loud. Great variety of dishes to choose from. Everything coming out of the kitchen was treated with such care and attention to detail. Would recommend!

Went with a friend for the first time last night. Great atmosphere (we sat at the bar). Cocktails - Great and enjoyed the twists on the old fashions. Food - pork belly and Argentinian cheese (forgot the name). Top notch. Great portion to share. Branzino (whole fish) was amazing !

Went for birthday dinner (belated). The Good: the Last Flight Out cocktail was sublime, the Brazilian cheese bread was authentic, the roasted vegetable platter is a must, so delicious and a real treat, the Belgian mussels were amazing, juicy and tasty served with fries asked for bread (for the sauce) and waiter brought yummy toasted bread, the wait staff were first rate. What to improve on: the shrimp and grits were delicious but the grits need to be cooked a little longer and creamier, fries were yummy too but some were a little soggy.

Ordered for curbside delivery and experienced very poor service - place is disorganized and no one person takes responsibility for taking care of the order. The food itself was fine!

The menu was most unusual and the food was absolutely amazing. The portions are huge, so the server aptly suggested we order family-style for sharing. Everything we ordered was amazing. The items that most made an impression were the crab samosas, the lamb skewers, shrimp curry and the bread pudding. Other amazing dishes included the oxtail, the duck and the jerk chicken. Wow what a culinary experience.

We celebrated our 20th anniversary at Traveler's Table with a delightful lunch experience. The restaurant offers a diverse menu, featuring dishes from Chinese to Mexican cuisine. The ambiance was lovely, and the service was exceptional, adding to our memorable celebration. Overall, Traveler's Table exceeded our expectations, providing a perfect dining experience for our special occasion.

First time dining here. Probably won’t be the last. We had dinner on their very nice covered patio. They have heaters and fans. The service was above average. We ordered SHIITAKE EDAMAME DUMPLINGS 3/5, Viet-Cajun grilled oysters 4/5, NIGERIAN SUYA SKEWERS 5/5 (unbelievable), TRUFFLED MARGHERITA FLATBREAD 5/5, and MEXICAN-SPICED FLOURLESS CHOCOLATE CAKE 4/5 (house made ice cream was the star). Excellent cocktail, beer, and wine choices.

Wow! Amazing flavors! A must try.. maybe the most interesting menu in Houston! We came for Houston Restaurant Weeks. We were amazed.

I was in this restaurant on opening night, valentine's day, new years eve, and both my and my gf's birthday. I can't wait to be back in there post-covid. This place is PHENOMENAL

Walking up, you instantly notice the unique design of the restaurant, plus a great outdoor patio. It has so many artistic pieces, and relics from all over the world. Obviously from the name, you know there will be food from the Far East to the Middle East and more. We started with some delicious cocktails, followed by some yummy appetizers…the cheese bread, lamb with hummus and dumplings were full of flavor and opened up our pallets to our entrees. We tried the fish, which the combination of spices, I quote my brother, was exotic. It was truly nothing I have ever tried, a must try. My husband got the pumpkin curry, which was also out of this world, I think I want to get that for myself next time. I was so full from the appetizers, I got the pomegranate salad, it was really good. We were too full to try dessert, but they looked amazing. The service was a tad slow, but it didn’t ruin our evening.

Had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant is beautiful, not too loud on a Sunday, and had the best staff. Our server, Aaron (sp?), was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. He made sure that my allergies were accommodated and I felt very safe ordering. I have celiac disease and they made sure everything was safe. The food was delicious and definitely don't skip on the cocktails!

So many options to choose from on the menu. I chose the tanging lamb. The dish was delicious. The only thing I missed, and expected, was for the meal to be served via a tangine. If my meal had been served in the tangine the rating would have been a 5 easily. Good attentive service.

I was initially drawn to this restaurant by the name and after taking a quick glance at the menu, I was too intrigued to not stop by. The restaurant is located in a fun part of Houston called Montrose. The complimentary valet parking made the visit extremely convenient. Now on to the good stuff. The menu and food alone has the ability to bring back wonderful memories and/or provide you with the most alluring dishes of each continent. I was extremely pleased with the lamb ragu with hummus. The lamb was to die for and combined with hummus, it turned out to be one of the most incredible appetizers that I have ever had. The thai mussels were excellent and the kicker is that they are served with crispy pork skins. We will keep coming back until we try the entire menu. The staff is amazing, the vibe is happening. This is the place to go.

Trust me when I tell you this restaurant is fabulous! The menu is unusual and delightful. I keep going back and trying new things and I always walk away saying "this is my favorite restaurant in Houston." TIP: They have the most amazing brunch and one of the only restaurants in Houston that offers a FRIDAY brunch. Don't miss the sparkling wine, bloody Mary and coffee flights... AMAZING! I am obsessed with the brunch boards. Lastly, the staff here is top notch!

Oh my word this place is so good! We enjoyed the butter chicken samosas and beef rendang which were both amazing then the chocolate sticky toffee pudding with soft serve ice cream arrived to top it all off. I love the variety in this menu and cannot wait to return!

Hummas was good... But not like traditional hummas. The lamb bites are good.... Good flavor Its valet parking only....

Came here for our last evening meal in Houston and was not disappointed! We booked in advance and I am glad we did, on arrival we were shown to our table and drinks order taken. Then the food order. The only thing I can say about the food is that it is amazing, full of flavour from fresh ingredients. What a talented chef! Our server was outstanding, even though the restaurant was very busy. Very attentive without being intrusive.

In Texas visiting family for a long weekend, we made a reservation for dinner. The staff was wonderful, the food was great, and the drinks were delicious. The environment of the restaurant is relaxing and eclectic. We will be back next time we are Houston.
Cool Spot
Had an early dinner and enjoyed the experience. We sat on the covered part of the patio and felt pretty comfortable with the distance between tables, and the staff seemed to be following covid protocols, wearing masks. Tried a couple of the appetizers, the crab samosas were yumm! The menu offers a variety of options from different parts of the world, flavors are pretty good, and presentation is really nice. The drinks all looked really great, but we didn't get the chance to try any. Not terribly expensive but also not cheap eats.
