We love to go to the 3 Door, but not for the food. We always enjoy our meals...but, we go for the music and enjoy the food as a bonus. The food is from the Wild Ginger kitchen upstairs and the wait staff works really hard to make the evening pleasant. We always get spring rolls... this visit, we also had potstickers, duck, barbecued prawns, and green curry prawns, and green beans.

Our second visit to The Triple Door only confirmed what a great venue it is for musical performances. We absolutely loved Emily Asher's Garden Party from NYC! Outstanding mic'ing, great balance for the 7 piece band, and seating that is well laid out for viewing and listening. I looked forward to a good dinner, as did my husband. The food is prepared in the Wild Ginger kitchen and usually receives very good reviews. My vegan dish was mediocre (could the vegetables have been previously frozen?), and my husband's teriyaki beef dish was barely edible due to the extreme saltiness; he had to ask for it to be sent back. The server graciously brought a serving of veggies (like the ones on my plate, a decision made in some haste) as a substitute. Next time, we'll choose more wisely.

The family has a tradition of going to the xmass Bobs concert here. It is always associated in my mind with a great evening. If you ask for the real wine list they will bring it out, practically takes two people to carry it. I always have fun reading it, lots of yummy things in it. Unfortunately the food, while good, lacks a certain variety If you are the type of person who orders the wine first and then matches the food up to it, your in for a bit of a diss appointment Order the seven flavor beef, and the princess prawns.

We have only been here for happy hour and have not yet tried the food. Atmosphere and cocktails are great! We were told this is the sister restaurant to Wild Ginger, which is fabulous. Would definitely recommend.

This is one of the best if not the best dinner concert theaters in the city of Seattle. The food is Oriental Style and fantastic not a bad seat in the house I have been here to see the likes of Leon Russell, JJ Cale, and last but not least Jesse Colin Young. They have the music upstairs will you can sit and have drinks reasonable priced entrees or you can have dinner before ordering the concert show.

I've been to two concerts at this venue - The Battlefield Band back in Feb of this year and Geoffrey Castle last night. This is a very intimate setting where regardless of where you are sitting you are right in the middle of everything. Thirty minutes before the show you can order dinner from The Wild Ginger, a Thai restaurant next door that really has a superb menu. I have had a wonderful experience both times I've gone. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice evening out in downtown Seattle. Check the Triple Door's website to find out who's coming up.

I went to the Triple Door for a show and specifically went early for dinner. The first thing I noticed was the service. Attendants were lined up to show guests to their seats and provide menus. The service staff were very professional and attentive. The food when it came was delicious. We got a couple of starters and two entrees to share. There were four beers on draft. The price limits this to special occasions however I would definitely go back again for dinner next time I am going to a show at the Triple Door.

We were pleasantly surprised by how nice this venue is. Designed so that there is not a bad seat in the house, the setting is very intimate for a live performance. We booked online, which let's you pre-select your seat. Even though the booths are 'shared' tables, we went to the late show and the whole booth to ourselves. Service was good, as was the food. Recommend ordering food and beverage BEFORE the show starts - you won't likely see wait staff again until they bring the check.

Saw Johnny A here. I have to say its an awesome music venue. Didnt have dinner just drinks. Service was a little slow and drinks were ok. But would definitely come back.

During the first song, we had to tell the sound engineer that the lead mike was distorted. Thankfully, Mell Dettmer of Soli Studio came to the rescue because the sound engineer was not in the booth. As for the food, it sucked. My husband and I will never order food again from either The Triple Door or Thai Ginger. There is no flavor and it is way overpriced. Having spent some serious time in Thailand, I can say that this is faux fusion Asian food. It does not warrant the designation of cuisine because it's not. I've had better street food in Bangkok for 1/10th the price. The pad Thai had no flavor, neither did the tofu and eggplant, the pot stickers were boring and the green papaya salad, even with the additional of lime juice and hot sauce was not salvageable. And speaking of salvageable, the carpet is threadbare and should be replaced. I will also add that Vieux Farka Toure and his band were locked into The Green Room at the end of their performance. Thankfully, security was able to get them out so they eat their cold, tasteless dinner.

This place was really nice! The seating area is quite interesting! We didn't have any food or drink but simply enjoyed the show. It's beyond a restaurant but there is a large sign outside so it was easy to find.

The dinner menu was expensive and the food was bad. The appetizers were expensive and the portions were for a kid. The wine list was quite substantial but very very expensive. Nothing less than $40....I swore the last time we went there we would not order dinner. Shame on me..... Should have just had a beer.

If it truly was Craig Shoemaker's last visit to Seattle it was a very memorable one. The venue was great and we had a table near the front but not in the front row. We ate dinner at the Steelhead Diner before arriving but I have to say the drink service was excellent throughout the show. Craig Shoemaker put on a fabulous show giving 2 hours of laughs. He is very professional and his act is polished. I would definitely buy tickets again for a comedy event at the Triple Door.

No bad seats. A great variety of good entertainment. Excellent food reasonably priced. A big bottle of water on the table and no pressure to buy drinks.

Great jazz music. Wonderful accidental find. We're told about this place by our waiter at dinner and stumbled onto a fantastic Friday night live jazz venue.

We happened across this place for a late night snack and a drink or two. Didn't realize it was Asian food until we saw the menu. The atmosphere is nice, with live music in the back ground. We had mini duck sliders for an appetizer and they were great, was my first time eating duck, but my husband said it was cooked perfect, tried a special cocktail off their menu tasted great! Waiter was attentive and service was quick. Will go there again the next time we are in Seattle.

Cool venue for an intimate show. Once it fills up and the lights go down, good luck getting your server's attention. We waited 35 minutes after drink orders, and ultimately had to seek out another server to order. It looked like our experience was going to be redeemed, until our order showed up and was incorrect :( my advice would be to arrive an hour before show time and order immediately upon being seated.

We have been wanting to see the Waifs for over 12 years. We FINALLYdid.... here at the Triple Door. We bought tickets online, and when we were brought to our seats, we realized that there really is not a bad seat in the house. We did not eat there because we are not Thai food fans, but what did travel past my nose and eyes looked and smelled wonderful. I would go back again no questions asked.

Great concert venue! We on average come a couple times a year for different shows and always have a good time. There’s a wide variety, comfy seating and you all have a good view from almost all the seats. The drinks are good, their crushed coconut martini in particular is a favorite. However the food has been on a decline the past year, it’s not bad but it’s also nothing to write home about. With so many great restaurants nearby we typically eat out before hand and simply have a drink or two during the performance.

Beautiful throwback to when night clubs were classy: table service and reservations; when a club was sexy: booths and comfortable seating; and the music is mellow and thoughtful. Classic evening!

First time visit (after 50 years living in Seattle) to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary with dinner and the kick-off of Seattle's Cabaret Month. The theatre, below current street level, is beautiful, fully restored to it's original splendor; all gold and maroon. The food -- I had wonderfully tender and well presented lamb chops -- was excellent and our server was very friendly and attentive to our needs. She comped the table to lovely deserts to top it off. The wind list is extensive and the bar drinks reasonably priced. My wife and I and the rest of our party are looking forward to another event at this wonderful left-over from our city's past.

This was our first visit. We had happy hour hors d'oeuvres and drinks. The cracked coconut martini was especially delicious! Of the hors d'oeuvres, the duck sliders were our favorite. We left the Triple Door, had dinner upstairs at the Wild Ginger, and returned to listen to the music. We had gelato which was superb. We will return.

I LOVE going to the Triple door to see a show! Seattle is lucky to have a venue such as this to see top notch singers, dancers, musicians, comedy, etc. if is very fun to be seated at a comfy booth and be able to enjoy wonderful Pan Asian food from the Wild Ginger while seeing a show! Good food and wine make the experience all the more memorable! (going to the bar first at the Triple Door for a dinner of "happy hour" choices is both delicious and cheap! )

If you are thinking of going to a show here, do not hesitate. Sounds is great even on the side where I sat All sightlines are unimpeded. There is not a bad seat in the house. Service was attentive and discrete. One of the best!

The venue is not that large, so we always have a good experience when viewing music acts. I try to eat at the Wild Ginger next door, that also supplies the Asian menu served here, but either way, this is a great place.

This lovely place takes you back to the day of the famous Copa Cabana in NYC. Dining area is set up as an old time supper club with the big stage up front. We saw big band music. The ambiance is wonderful, but the dinner might bother you is you don't like Thai food. I really enjoyed the show ,but had difficulty deciding on dinner. Service is a bit slow, but they get it done before the show just barely. Can be a little pricey, but if you see a good show it's worth it and if you want you can hang out at the supper club upstairs after the show.

The Triple Door in Seattle is a wonderful venue for hearing live acts. Seating is arranged in rising tiers so you always get a view of the stage without having to stare through heads . The food is good and options exist for vegetarians. Service is excellent . It is unusual to find a restaurant with really excellent live musical acts , good food and a great night clubby atmosphere . We have been twice and really enjoyed the experience. We come to Seattle from Vancouver , BC to go to performances there.

I have been to the Triple Door on numerous occasions and went again this evening. While the food was good and the performer great the service was rough. It took 45 minutes to get a drink and one of my pet peeves is eating while someone is performing which is what happened tonight.

The show and atmosphere was outstanding! I would return anytime for one the shows, all good seating and lovely club. However, the food/dining experience was not good. We arrived 20 minutes prior to the show, and ordered appetizers and dinner. Our appetizers had not arrived yet by the intermission (over 1 hour), we were quite hungry, so I flagged down a waiter, and finally got our appetizer. Our dinner arrived about 20 minutes into the second act! The food was okay, not outstanding, when it arrived. I would go to a show here again happily, but would dine elsewhere beforehand, and perhaps just order a 'dessert' treat that I would get by intermission or second act. There are a lot of tables and not many waitpersons.

This place has it all. We sat at the bar...chatted to some fun people; listened to a great young band; ate some delicious food..and had a great night. We went on a Friday night to the Musicquarium Lounge - got there at about 6pm - the place was packed...then at 7.30pm it almost cleared out - then became packed again for the evening crowd at 8.30pm. Long queues to get in as we left at about 10.30pm.......... The bar/restaurant food was unexpectedly good. We did not buy it during Happy Hour - but if on a budget - this is a great way to get it at considerable discount. We ate off the full price menu - and I can highly recommend the 7 spice beef dish - which my husband ate, and the duck - a bit like peking duck - served with some kind of homemade doughy bun was delicious. The duck tender and tasty. The Musicquarium Lounge is great - if looking for live music - it is a must - no covercharge for entry! Well done Seattle - this place and the bar staff are just simply put.....great!

Wonderful venue for live music, intimate and comfortable. All seats have tabletops (tables, booths, counters) and not a bad sightline in the house. We sat at a counter - the chairs were quite comfortable but very close together. Menu service from the Wild Ginger restaurant, reasonably priced and delicious. Sound was well-balanced and at the perfect volume. Lovely to enjoy the restored historic theatre! Clean restroom, polite staff.

Enjoyed the music and had table 51 - one of the last 2 tops available and they were actually the best seats. Drinks were reasonable for the venue. We did not eat here after reading so many poor reviews since the menu change.

I love this place! The atmosphere was awesome, the dim lighting and set up of booths worked perfectly. And the food was delicious! We had the Ginger Duck which was great and the Saigon Gin Martini (with pickles) is a must have. I definitely recommend eating dinner and enjoying a show here!

Had a great Holiday party here. Food was great! Live entertainment as well. The only complaint I have is that it was very dark inside. There is a convenient parking garage next to the venue. It cost me 20$ for 4 hrs.

Food and drinks were really good. Staff was friendly and even paid for one of our appetizers when they got behind with giving us our bill. I'll recommend this place to others!

Our seats were at the very entrance to the club. It didn't feel like we were part of the event. We had to keep shushing the standing only people away from our view. Never get seats 6 & 7. They are bad. You do have a quick exit as you'r sitting in the exit area already. My overall rating for this particular event because of the bad seats is a 1. If we would have been seating "inside" the club, it would be a 4. The show was great (when we could watch).

I love hearing music here - the acoustics are great, and it's a great nightclub atmosphere. BUT, after years of enjoying the food, our experience last night was a huge disappointment. Annoying, actually. There's a new menu, much smaller, and more costly. Not much of a Wild Ginger feel to the food anymore. But the bigger problem is the execution. Only one of our table of 4 enjoyed her food - the Thai Style Roasted Chicken. My husband's Cambodian Short Ribs were not tender, had little flavor, and were served with rice AND potatoes, with a few small pieces of carrot. He was so vegetable-starved that he finished my Beet Salad, which I left because the beets were soggy, leaving not much flavor to the salad. Nothing in the 5 entrees appealed to me, so I ordered a large Salmon Poke, which was delicious, though not very large for $18. To round it out, I ordered a side of Wasabi Mashed Potatoes - for $12!!!. They had little flavor, and came lukewarm the first time, so I sent them back and they came warm, not hot. I wished I at least had some salt to put on them, as did my friend, who ordered the Kale Salad with salmon, and it was pretty tasteless. Our service was awful, with our waiter not checking on us til we were almost finished our food. We had to wait twice to order wine. Just overall, not our usual experience here. For years I have compared the food experience at Jazz Alley unfavorably to Triple Door. Now, there's not a big difference.

The food is asian influenced and provided by the Seattle restaurant Wild Ginger. While I'm not real adventurous their food is Very Good!!

We wanted to taste the entire menu, everything was so good. All of our severs were fun and knew what to suggest off the menu. We did try at least one dish from every section and we left very little on the plates. I wish that the seven flavor beef had more of a kick but it was all very good.

Sweet venue to watch a show with killer drinks and southeast Asian inspired food. Saw a Rolling Stones tribute band on Saturday 9/15. Great fun. Enjoyed the sechuan green beans, Vietnamese 7-spice flank steak and steamed rice. And cool drinks. Highly recommended treat a few times a year.

Went there for New Years Eve with friends We had a great table 2 rows back from the stage right in the middle. It was a Prix Fix Dinner so you chose an appetizer, entree & dessert. My husband & I got a salad & it was very good with a Cambazola dressing But the Wagyu steak was grisly. Dessert was good, we both got the chocolate mousse Our friends ordered crab cakes as their entree & they said they were soggy The David Bowie tribute band was fantastic

At first I wasn't sure if I should open one of the gray three doors and I am glad I did. Bryan Nova was on the guitar and vocals as well. I got some food too which was ok but nothing to die for . They have cocktails and wines too so one can spend a few hours here. Each night a different musician plays.

My wife and I visited from New Orleans and saw that these guys were doing a show of one of our favorite movies. This show was awesome and if I lived there, I would go see it again. Nice work everyone who was a part of this show and worked for the Tripple Door. You all were outstanding.

There was a 2.5 hr wait at the sister restaurant, Thai Ginger, so we asked about another good restaurant near by since it was pouring and we were on foot. The host told us about Triple Door, their sister restaurant just around the corner. The Triple Door is in downtown Seattle and we enjoyed the atmosphere as it was much quieter than Thai Ginger. We are told the menu is much the same. We enjoyed black pepper scallops and Shrimp Pad Thai. The waiter was helpful and friendly and the food was very good.

Dinner and a show last night sounded like a great night out, and for all intent purposes it was. We saw an old local band with a clear local fan base, not our kind of music but we did our share of toe tapping. The food, and Asian fusion type was mediocre at best. The menu had a lot of promise but the kitchen couldn't live up to it IMHO. Not a great venu or place to eat.......wait staff worked their butts off and did a great job! Kudos to them.

We were staying at the Fairmont Hotel, so the Triple Door was just around the corner. We ended up going every night. It was just the perfect place to unwind after dinner, no matter how late it got before we could go. The bartender, Jennifer, is one in a million. She asked us if we wanted "our usual" the second time we ever went to the establishment! There was live music every night, and a good sized crowd - not too much and not too little. The music was great every night! The Earshot Jazz Festival was in town, but I don't think any of the acts were officially part of that. But it was great music anyway. We just felt right at home each time we went. The place would draw us in, and we couldn't consider going back to the hotel for the night without stopping by for at least half an hour. Loved it!! We didn't eat anything there, but we were told that they can get food right from Wild Ginger to serve at the bar, which is a great restaurant nearby.

Really liked the Triple Door and wish we had this type of venue back home. Great spot for locals or visitors alike. Seating was very comfortable and the show started on time as expected. It was a very intimate setting, good for a date to listen to good music and have a nice meal. Pad Thai was amazing! Service was good as well.

The Triple Door is probably one of the best venues in the city to hear live music, especially if you enjoy an intimate room with great sound. It's absolutely wonderful and we're lucky to have this space to enjoy performers while sipping a cocktail or glass of wine in a cozy, club setting. The semi-circle banquets are festive if you're with a group of friends and/or celebrating a special occasion. It just feels fun to have a martini while ensconced in a cushy upholstered booth. What doesn't feel fun, however, is forking over a ton of money for extremely mediocre fare on the "new" menu. What the heck happened? Is the food still coming from the Wild Ginger kitchen? The three of us sampled some starters, but it was hard to choose what small plates to share because nothing really sounded too interesting, and the appetizer selection was very limited. The menu is mainly comprised of 6 or so pricey entrees, and also an accompanying "tasting" menu where you have a choice of app, salad, and main. I didn't look too closely at these, just scanned around for some sharable snacks. What we chose were the vegetable samosas, the brussel sprouts, and the beet salad. The samosas were truly awful, and looked factory made, reminding me of frozen La Choy little hot pocket things. Served with a sweet chili dipping sauce, haha-- like I could envision the cooks opening boxes and plastic sauce packets, nuking the tasteless morsels of dried out mushy stuff. The sprouts were treated with not much more care, supposedly dressed with a miso vinaigrette that was rather bland, but at least they didn't cook them into oblivion. No other embellishments or garnish on the plate, either. Just the sprouts on the small oval plate looking pale and depressed. The beet salad was well presented with both red and golden beets stacked appealingly with a garnish of spicy cress and creme fraiche on the side. As a result, I wouldn't be tempted to spend 34.00 on short ribs if they couldn't put out decent samosas for 16.00!! Yikes. The samosas and brussel sprouts were cold, too. Not even tepid. It didn't feel right to complain, as we had just changed our seats because the hostess sat us at the wrong table and our food had just come out as the re-seating was discussed and finally settled. Geez Louise. No offer to comp anything until I got a little terse about the reshuffle of seating, and the working mgr/waitperson asked me what she could do for us to make it better. I guess this was a way to try to rectify the house's mistake, but it felt confusing, and I felt a little peevish asking if she could comp us a round of drinks. It was handled awkwardly. I got my second cocktail comped, but my friends didn't want a second glass of wine, and their first glass of wine was not taken off the bill. Maybe an oversight, but I have my doubts. I worked as a server for years and know how tough it is to please everyone, but I felt kind of dismissed as someone trying to "get something" due to an employee error. It left a lingering weirdness. In conclusion, my advice is to eat before or after the show, and enjoy the experience of a really nice venue to see and hear your favorite bands and artists.

I have seen several shows here at the Tripple Door. You can arrive early and enjoy a dinner before the show or come for just cocktails. It's a small venue so everyone has a great seat for viewing, most tables are situated so that everyone faces the stage. There's not really a bad seat in the house just a matter of how far from the stage you want to sit

Went here for a concert, chose not to eat dinner because of the spicy Asian fusion type of food. When asked if we'd been there before, said no, we came to celebrate a (xxth) birthday. I ordered ice cream, which was very good. They brought it on a big plate, with candles and "Happy Birthday" (with the right number no less) written in chocolate on the plate. That certainly exceeded my expectations! Every table/seat in the venue has a good view; we really enjoyed the concert and will definitely go back again.

I would go back to Seattle in October just for the Halloween show, Nightmare before Christmas. It was amazing! Amazing actors, dancers, singing, music, special effects! The seating was great. We enjoyed the food from Wild Ginger which overlapped into the show. I would come earlier next time so I am finished eating before the show starts. I hated to miss even a second of the show, while looking down to make sure the food hit my mouth. Easy walk from our hotel, the Sheraton. Definitely worth the money! We also had some happy hour drinks before the dinner/show--good deals on drinks and appetizers. I would recommend this show for adults.

The Triple Door is a great venue for music and burlesque ( Land of the Sweets, Lily Verlaine and Jasper McCann's version of the Nutcracker Suite is a delicious tradition). The main room reminds me of those clubs in 1940s movies, with padded intimate booths, staggered so almost every seat has a good view of the stage, and good acoustics, too. I've seen shows from the booths and the countertops. The only seats I avoid are the tables on the front sides because of sightline issue. So why not a five-star rating? Basically it's the food, which comes from the kitchen of Wild Ginger upstairs. When they have a full house, things can sometimes get a little meh — and that is not typical of restaurant itself. Oddly enough, I've enjoyed many Happy Hour dishes with friends in the lounge. My guess is that the push to get that many meals out in a short time, on top of the demands of the dining, occasionally push the kitchen (and waitstaff) to the limits. My new strategy is to either eat at home or at the restaurant before show then enjoy the drinks and the show.

We just went for the show - we did not eat at the Triple Door. The show was wonderful! Great humor and the burlesque dances were an eyeful too!!

We were here for a show in the main stage area. They seem to get a lot of great acts in. The show we saw was good. The seating set up is a great "dinner club" atmosphere. Ye service was very prompt, drinks are reasonable and the food was good. I would say the food was four stars, but the overall experience was a five. I went up stairs to the bar area and over the span of the night they had a couple different acts playing live music. The best thing about the upstairs area is there is no cover, which is great if you enjoy live music. I like no cover. Besides, they will still get as much money out of me because I will likely buy more booze.

Best place to see a concert sadly they no longer use the wild gingers vegan menu so their food sucks will just eat before we come

My husband and I had a great time at the Triple Door! We sat in the front row and enjoyed a fantastic show! The Triple Door had a great stage and the atmosphere was even better! We ordered food at the restaurant upstairs around 6:30 PM. We were starving so we made sure to arrive early. The food took awhile to come out because the waitress forgot to put our order in so we didn't get it until about 7:30 when the show began. We would definitely come back if we lived closer, but we would grab a quick bite somewhere else!

I really wanted to love this place. It offers live music and a happy hour with no cover charge in the downtown area. But the place looks shabby, the fish tank is disgusting, the chairs are uncomfortable and arranged so you practically have to hit your neighbor to get in and out, and the food portions are so tiny. On the plus side the music was great and the service was friendly. I would love to see them give this place an overhaul because it could be amazing.

Enjoyed an early dinner in the lounge with the Dave Miller Blues Band. Good + on the food however not a lot of vegan options unless you are creative. Service prompt and with a smile. Music was awesome.

Went with my wife and 3 teenagers to dine and watch the holiday show at the TD and we really enjoyed our evening. The venue overall is confortable. The staff is very nice and efficient, the food (from Wild Ginger) was excellent. The show itself (Land of the Sweets: Burlesque Nutcracker) was fun and great to watch. What a performance!

Triple Door is a music venue with food provided by Wild Ginger. The venue was quite nice with comfortable seating and excellent stage views. Staff were friendly, helpful and competent.

The food here is from Wild Ginger, which is right around the corner. So, considering this is a music place, the food is good and not too expensive. For a music place. It's Thai/fusion/Pacific and will be a pleasant alternative to just drinking while you wait for the music.

My husband and I are longtime Seattle residents but just recently went to The Triple Door downtown. We saw Rodney Crowell, one of my husband's all-time favorites. The show was OK, did not care for the author (foul mouthed) who performed with him, though. However, The Triple Door itself is very cool. Great stage and we sat in a "booth", There were people on either side of you but not close enough to feel the least bit crowded. There was candlelight which provided a nice, relaxing ambiance. Everyone at the venue was friendly and helpful. We had eaten dinner prior to walking over to Triple Door from the waterfront, so did not eat the food...it is Asian fusion from Wild Ginger and from what we could see, the portions looked large and the aromas were yummy. We did order bottles of Bud Light, which came cold and promptly. The cocktail menu looked interesting but $10 for a drink seemed a little pricey, while the brew was $4 a bottle. We enjoyed this venue tremendously and would not hesitate to go see another show there.

Good place for live music and drink. no cover for this show. We were here for about 2 hours as a stop during our day of bar/restaurant/music hopping. The music was excellent, kind of a route 66 sound. The mixed drinks were ok and they have a couple of good beer taps. We sat at the bar at 545- happy hour. They took our order at 6:05 and charged us full price. Would have been a 4 rating otherwise. Not cool at all.

An experience but won't return. Service was pleasant and enthusiastic. Food was mediocre at best. I was really looking forward to the Wild Ginger food but my duck was extremely disappointing (I am a duckophile!). We went to the alternative Nutcracker in December. We tried to be enthusiastic but sadly, it was a yawn. Was here with husband and 19 year old daughter. I kept apologizing and explaining myself as this came highly recommended by an acquaintance.

We were given this evening as a Christmas gift from our children. It was a Hawaiian slack key guitar performance by three native Hawaiian gentlemen. They each performed solo , then all three together. The music was wonderful and there was only one song that was familiar to us. The schedule and variety of performances varies from week to week. The venue here is an old vaudeville theater from the 1920's that has been updated and the food is served by Wild Ginger, a well-known restaurant located next door. The food was very tasty and was available throughout the evening. We would definitely come here again for another concert.

We liked the venue for seeing a dinner show but were extremely disappointed in the "Seattle Vice" show. If you like really foul language, crude jokes, mostly dancing near naked women, and zero plot - this show is for you. Just really dumb and I don't consider myself a prude. We left at the intermission. Again, the theatre is very nice and service was great so hate to give a bad rating. But wish I had known this before buying tickets.

I've been to the Triple Door many times and each time have enjoyed an outstanding music venue paired with excellent food & drink. Take the time to plan ahead and pick seats suited to what you want to experience. Do you want to rest your elbows on the edge of the stage? You can. Do you want a table to share with family or friends? You can. The wait staff is effective and very unobtrusive, particularly when the music is flowing. You'll hardly notice them bring out drink refills or some exotic oriental cuisine. Parking facilities are right next door so even in the Seattle rain, you can still get from car to venue and back with ease.

Have been to the Triple Door on numerous occasions and it is one of the best small venues I have ever been to. I prefer smaller groups than rock bands and this is the perfect spot for it. The food comes from the Wild Ginger restaurant which is located above the TD and it is asian influenced and very good.

I was invited to the Susan Garith show by a friend and had such a great time! We went to drinks first at the bar for happy hour, bartender was very friendly and brought our drinks very fast. The show was amazing and our server Noelle was wonderful. She was so attentive. She checked up on us frequently, explained the wine list very well, took our orders and delivered very fast. The atmosphere was great, I loved the layout of the theatre. Will definitely recommend to friends.

There's not a bad seat in the house (unless you're stuck at the tiny two-top at back of the house, and that's only "bad" in moderation as it's the farthest away from the stage). Every seat has a clear view of the stage and doesn't feel very far away at all. A few of the banquettes are a bit of a tight fit if you're not a tiny person or have all six seats taken. Service is pleasant and fun, with the servers being young, interesting, and happy to be there. They are unobtrusive during the show, too, which is fantastic. The variety of entertainment that the Triple Door offers is really fantastic, and you can see by checking out their schedule online. Local as well as national acts of high calibre every time, and you just never know who might make a cameo appearance onstage, either, which is fun. Two friends of mine got married there and the wedding was an actual show, full on talented musical acts, comedy, and of course, the Big Gay Wedding! It's a venue that can do just about any kind of event, and yes, you can rent it and do your own thing, like my friends Eric and Paul did. Damn, that was the best wedding I've ever been to! The Triple Door is known for their class and high quality of both entertainment and service (and as I mentioned before, fabulous food from Wild Ginger). It is downstairs, and though they have a tiny, open "elevator" for those that can't do stairs, and a wheelchair accessible bathroom, the only seating that wheelchairs can access is at the back of the house, though those are fine seats. The rest of the seats are on different levels with no ramps. Fabulous place to see a show and have a great meal. Not a bad seat anywhere, with a great view of the stage from any place, so go, enjoy, and make sure you bring your friends!

Five spice beef so good. Huge appy of chicken pot stickers, they were twice the size as I have seen anywhere else. Great, fast service during a show of jazz meets classical meets adult alternative.

A friend told me about this place, so me and a few friends decided to check it out. They pride themselves on being a musicquarium... but i think the aquarium is a stretch. They do have a aquarium, but there was only gold fish in there, so it was kinda lacking. The music was pretty good. We ordered some Chicken Satay and the potstickers. The potstickers are extremely stuffed, the biggest i've ever seen. This might be a good thing, but this time it wasnt, they were somewhat lacking in flavor. The chicken satay was on point. I will be visiting again to see one of their shows.

This intimate supper club is the ideal location for an evening of music. There is not a bad seat in the house. Table service before, during and after the show provides great beverages and good, pan-Asian food. A perfect evening of reasonably priced entertainment!

For having to put out many meals at the same time prior to the show they do a very good job. I had the Seven Flavor Beef and it was great. My husband had the Mandarin Chicken and he said it was a little dry and he would order the beef the next time. The people sitting next to us had the short ribs and they said they were fantastic (they looked really good, too). We also had the Panko Shrimp for an app and they were wonderful. We were overall impressed with the food and how quickly it was served. The waiters are great and attentive. My only complaint was it took about 15 minutes to get our first drink.

We were present for the soundcheck and saw the servers setting up for the dinner show. They throw silverware on the bare tables... then later put them on the cloth napkins. Not sanitary! :( Food is exotic, but VERY small portions, however cooked very well. Enjoyed the dinner show concept. Great stage and sound system. Everyone has an unobstructed view of the stage as the room is sloping.

It was a lovely evening at the triple door Friday August 15. Ottmar Liebert and luna negra basically came on stage and started playing for nearly 45 mins without even a word being spoken. All music and wonderful music. We chose to dine at another location as we are not crazy about the menu at the triple door.

First time and from the moment we walked in we were taken care of.Food was wonderful and service swift and responsive.Entertainment 5 Star!!

We saw him a few years ago at Giggles. He was even better this time. We did not know that seating was General Admission. We ate at 13 Coins and then drove to the Triple Door. As a result our seats were WAY back, making it hard to see Craig's performance. My mistake for not understanding the seating policy. Triple Door's mistake for not making it clear. The desert was excellent. The drinks were adequate. Our server was attentive but other patrons seemed to have a problem with their order and check. Location is OK but parking can be awkward. The Valet was slow. It's probably easier and cheaper to park in the garage next door or one block north in the garage at 2nd and Pike.

We were given a show and dinner as a gift. The food is from Wild Ginger so of course it was lovely. The show was very well done as well, we would recommend as a night out in Seattle

We have been to the many different events at the Triple Door. Every time we are there we have a Great time. The ginger martini paired with a meal from Wild Ginger...delicious! If you are not attending a show at the main stage, the musicquarium is a fun place to meet friends for drinks and listen to sound great music.

The music venue is great, but dinner is mediocre. The servers are kinda slow, but the stadium seating is wonderful and the sound is great. I've been to 10+ shows here. FYI, they typically have valet parking.

Triple Door is hands down the best music venue in Seattle. Sight lines and acoustics are excellent and the size is small, so all seats are great ones. The food and drinks are very good - the same at served upstairs at Wild Ginger. If you are a wine fan, ask for the long wine list (also from Wild Ginger). It is an incredible list and the mark-up is not bad. Service in the bar is not great - slow thought very friendly. In the concert area, service is much better.

Is it a bar? A restaurant? A concert hall? Oh, now I get it. "Triple" Door. Three choices. Management has attempted to blend the trio with somewhat mixed results. As a lounge, not bad. As a restaurant, good food but prices too high and let's face it, this is NOT a restaurant. "Nightclub" would be more accurate, and who goes to a nightclub for fine dining? Where the Triple Door shines is as a concert or show venue. Small enough to be very intimate and even the perimeter seats are close to the stage. Excellent sound system, adequate stage and house lighting. The place excels as the setting for a show. I'm annoyed that they continue to serve meals (complete with clattering dishes and glasses) during the show. The wait staff moving about do their best to remain unobtrusive but they are not invisible nor is the noise they make as they clear away the remnants of your neighboring tables' meals. I'll continue to go here for the music and will keep hoping they'll narrow their focus.

The Triple door is an exciting venue. I like to go there for blues, but they have constant change almost every night. The upstairs space is very intimate-you are right next to the music and you can have drinks or food- there is service in the larger theater downstairs with comfortable seats, tables and very good food too. Both are much more intimate performance spaces than usual.

My daughter and I went there for the Masters of Hawaiian Music because I have been a fan of Ledward Kaapana since the early 1970s.The show was fantastic and so was the the theater.

We have been to the Triple Door a number of times and enjoy it immensely. The food is delicious, the entertainment is great. You will enjoy it very much.

Seeing a show at this venue is highly rated. Majority of seating is good. Side tables have a bit of a stretch to see sides of the stage. Parking in garage nearby for $11.00. You can get food there, but not much room to eat it on the tables. The stage is beautiful. I have enjoyed all of the performances from concerts to the latest a burlesque show!

A friend and I surprised our wives by taking them to Seattle and the Triple Door for dinner and live music. We reserved a booth near the stage that was very comfortable. Being show to our seats by one of the many staff was a great way to get the evening started. We were then immediately greeted by our server who took great care of us during dinner and the show and we must of had at least 5 other staff bringing food and drinks to our booth so the service level is excellent. Dinner and appys were all very good. The flavour and quality of the food was excellent and the portions were large. We could have shared two or three dishes for the four of us. The Thai fusion was a nice change from standard seafood menus! Our only disappointment was that with a second show happening (we came to the early dinner seating) our evening at the Triple Door ended too soon. The band (Irma Thomas, who was fantastic) played one set for about an hour and then was done. Guys (or Gals) , if you want to impress your significant other, take in a night at the Triple Door.

We've purchased concert tickets at the Trip Door several times and it never disappoints. The venue is great for couples or large groups. Not really a bad seat in the place. The food is great. Prepared by Wild Ginger and really excellent quality. The servers are helpful and pleasant and overall it's a fabulous spot. Highly recommend the venue!

We saw the paperboys here. We really enjoyed them. We had bar seats and are view was great. We ordered drinks and dinner. The drinks we sent back, the food was to salty and couldn't eat it. The waitress was apologetic. We would return to hear some good music but probably skip food.

I ordered the Harvest Spice Old Fashioned and was FANTASTIC! I tried the duck sliders and were so tasty

Catch any show here and be amazed by the food, the fantastic vantage point from any seat and the acoustics. Best ever!

The triple door chooses some great bands for their bar & supper club! I've been in the supper club with my husband and saw Willie Nelson's son Luke play- its was fun! Great food/seated concert. I much prefer the no cover charge bands in the bar area. My friends and I saw ayron James and the way- they were great! Drinks are good and service even better!

Comfortable seating, good site-lines, and food from the kitchens of Wild Ginger - what could be better? This is a music venue for adults, both intimate and sophisticated. Whether rock & roll, R&B or a jazz crooner, this is my favorite place to see music. As for the food, I love the green beans, the fragrant duck (Peking duck relative), the lamb satays, the Hanoi tuna (sashimi-grade ahi grilled just enough to seal the outside). Make sure to make a reservation ... but go, it's worth the trip.

The Triple Door is an excellent place to see a show, from a music act to a revue. Every table has an excellent view and it's also a full service restaurant serving food from Wild Ginger. The Wild Ginger food is OK, typical Seattle Thai. Service can get a little slow during the show, before the show it's usually pretty fast. Pro tip - buy 2 drinks at a time during the show or you will be waiting a while. Pro tip - get the Elysian Triple Door Backstage Pale Ale, it's the only place you can get it.

I am very impressed with this establishment! When you first walk in their is a fairly large lounge and restaraunt area with the focal point being a very large bar and even a space for a small live band to play music. After seating I did get water served right away but after that ourselves and another couple did not ever get waited on after that at all, so I had to go wait in line to order drinks at the bar. Drinks are made well. We then went into the concert venue for a show we were seeing. The seating is awesome just look at the chart on the website its awesome very intimate and comfortable. Wait staff was professional and helpful. Acoustics were very good as well, the food was EXCELLENT would recommend the lamb skewers or short ribs both amazing. After ordering a drink and food, I did later on order two more drinks at the same time, and after about 30min going by with no drinks I waived our waitress down and asked about them. She apologized because she forgot and said they would be be comped. It was sincere mistake and I appreciated the gesture, except for when we got our bill neither of those drinks was comped....MUST have forgot that too... I would say the service is probably usually really good, however our server though nice was very forgetful. Would recommend to anyone for great live music lounge and dinner atmosphere will definitely be going back regardless of the ordering issues I encountered.

Food from Wild Ginger is very good, and the dinner theatre experience is quite enjoyable. But we had to request ear plugs as the music was too loud for the room....praises to the waitstaff for even being able to hear orders and getting them right!!

We had tickets and reservations to see Cubanismo! and unfortunately the sound quality was terrible. The trumpets overpowered the voices. It sounded like just noise. We sat through about 1 hour of the show, and finally walked out. Maybe this venue is too small for the huge sound of a large band with brass and drums. Or the sound engineer didn't know what he was doing...

Can i rate thus worse than terrible? I should please avoid this place on a tuesday!!! It sucks BIG TIME!! It is depressing in the worse way!!

We had a reserved table for 4. It was in the still considered the middle section but still very close to the front. It was perfect. We saw a Burlesque/Drag show. The drinks were awesome. I had the Coconut Martini (I had 3 of them) and the Rum Punch. The show was great and we all had the best time. We did get food and found the food to be very expensive and just okay. I think you should get dinner before you arrive, get a snack/dessert there and definitely get some drinks. I plan on going again.

Better go here to see a show or listen to music. Food is just good, not great. Heavy on an Asian theme, showing the influence of Wild Ginger (outstanding place) but not necessarily the same quality. But the service! Order two cocktails and two beers for the four of us. One cocktail arrived. Several minutes later second cocktail & two glasses of wine showed up. Whoops! Ordered four small dishes to share. After the second one arrived wait staff took plates from two of us. Last two dishes arrived & we sat without plates until we finally asked for them. Just that kind of sloppy service all night. And then we discovered the next morning, we had stupidly left our credit card on the table. Okay, our mistake. But after numerous attempts to reach the staff, including leaving four phone messages and the box office promising to get someone to call us, nothing. So enjoy the show, but don't expect the staff to care much about your good time.

A popular food and entertainment venue with locals, this establishment is situated partway down the hill from 3rd Avenue. One takes some flights of stairs to reach the restaurant/entertainment venue, and all seats would seem to have a decent view (I was up towards the front, and my sightlines were great). Towards the front, diners have counters to place their programs, menus, and food on. The prices I saw (not on TripAdvisor) are on the higher side, but then you’re partly paying for the experience. I opted to eat light, and was very pleased with what was a unique presentation and combination (in a restaurant) of asparagus and mushrooms.

Saw Ottmar Liebert and Luna Negra and what a great evening. Food and service was excellent. And the papaya salad is huge and very tasty. The reason the thai food is more expensive than "street vendors in Bangkok" (see previous harsh review) is because they don't serve dog and Ottmar doesn't play there. I mean really?! The venue has great sound. We sat at the stage but the first row of tables would be even better. Looking forward to more great times there...great location, good food, great service and outstanding music.

A friend and I went to hear live Cuban music in the lounge, which is quite spacious. We sat on comfortable faux leather couches with a clear view of the band. The acoustics are quite good. Dance floor is an adequate size. There is no cover charge. Happy Hour is from 5 to 7. We enjoyed Pan-Asian food from Wild Ginger. A bottle of Pinot Gris was reasonably priced at $40. The servers are attentive and friendly. We were happy to add to the band's tip jar. The music was great and the Son dancers were amazing. This was our first time in the Triple Door lounge and we would definitely return and recommend.

The Triple Door theater offers up a great combo booze, food, and music/theater. The food is sourced from Asian eatery Wild Ginger, and it is brought to your table/seat before and during the performances. A great experience!

I've never been to a rock n roll venue that serves Vietnamese food before. But that's what though can expect at the triple door. The bar has 2 floors - the ground floor which has live cover bands and a bar. The basement is the actual concert venue which is set up pretty extravagantly. Its sort of like stadium style seating, but with a little more class. I was there for a charity event, but I'd imagine it would be a cool place to watch an acoustic show or maybe a blues show. I've been in the upstairs bar many times - its a great place to close out the night - have a few drinks and listen to some 90s cover music.

They converted an old theatre into a dinner-music venue. The acoustics are great but the selection of performers can be questionable at times. Worth a visit!

This is one of the great music venues- great sound and views from all of the tiered seats. Great attentive service, however, the food from Wild Ginger was the big let down to our evening. The quality of the appies and entrees was poor. This was our first visit to the Triple Door and we were all enthusiastic to return for the music, and we all said we would probably eat elsewhere first.

Delicious food, great service and the band was great! Wish we lived closer and I would come here more often!

I've been to the Triple Door twice now for concerts and I really like it. The front row is right at the edge of the stage and it's fund to be so close to the performers. I haven't eaten the food there, but the cocktails are good! The servers are very nice and easy going. For a small venue it packs in quite a few people and is a comfortable way to see a show.

Great service and food while we enjoyed the music of Leroy Bell! Impressive wine selection and separate bar area. definitely one of my favorite places in Seattle.

Great place to go for a show and dinner. The excellent dinner choices are served throughout the performance and the food is supplied by Wild Ginger restaurant. The wait staff are talented and move quietly and efficiently through the booth and counter tables. Very diverse selection of live shows provide excellent entertainment.

Loved the venue for the show we saw and purchased front row VIP tickets which was a great call. Friendly and good service during the show... highly recommend the triple door!

Over the years, I have been to the Triple Door a few times. It is a fantastic venue for music, intimate and relaxing. The food, drinks, and service are never disappointing. So, choose from the variety of musical, or other, acts of interest and go for it!

My boyfriend and I found Triple Door on Urbanspoon when we were looking for an Asian restaurant. Nothing we read indicated that this was also a venue for live music. So, when we got there, we were pleasantly surprised to find a band called Occidental Gypsy setting up for a performance. We were treated to good service, a very tasty dinner, some delicious wine, and some outstanding music.

We have been going to The Triple Door since it opened. They used to serve wonderful food from the WIld Ginger menu upstairs. But no longer. They have changed their menus twice in the past few months, and each time it has become worse. No potstickers anymore, or anything really that resembles Pan Asian or Thai food. We were so disappointed the last two times, especially last night. The chicken dish is quite good and the beet salad, but nothing spectacular. I suspect Wild Ginger has nothing to do with their new menu. Even their famous coconut ice cream is no longer on the Dessert menu, However the nice server found some for us. My question is: why don't restaurants that are hopefully trying to make IMPROVEMENTS just have a card for suggestions on how best to tweak their menu.

I liked the venue of the Triple Door it has a night club atmosphere with great acoustics. The show was excellent and I am looking forward to coming back without dinner. I was very disappointed in the limited selections from the Wild Ginger as I had heard their food was excellent that said it was also over priced. I had the beet salad which was okay and the cauliflower tofu dish which was also okay. My friend had the Thai roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts which he said was good not great.

We enjoyed a few cocktails and small bites while listening to a great live band. The volume was a level that allowed us to still chat while listening to the music. The drinks and service were good. The food was flavorful and delicious.

Triple door is a good setting and brings in fairly great artists. The issue is some of the food on their menu. So far, I have not found any of their food item to be inspiring except the green papaya salad. So after trying several times to try various menu items to see if next one will be better, I believe I will just order salad and possibly try dessert.

We visited to see the incomparable Herb Alpert. We really loved the seating here - not really a bad seat in the house. Acoustics were very good for an old building. There is a single restroom at bar level with main restrooms downstairs. If you or anyone in your party have issues with stairs, this place will be a challenge. But, aside from that, The Triple Door is a wonderful, intimate setting that allows you to really see the artist. Drinks are pricey - White Russian and a 7-Up set us back $16 plus tip. Pretty typical, I guess. Parking is a hassle - Uber for a more enjoyable evening.

There is a time and place for standing at a show, having limited visibility and having your neighbor spill beer on your foot. The Triple Door is not that kind of venue. Fortunately, I like having reserved seats, with food and cocktail service. The Triple Door is a wonderful venue. Each seating option has a unique and unobstructed view. I recently watched a jazz duo performance, and although I was seated close to the stage and to the side (stage right, table 110), I felt the seat was perfect. Do an image search of the performer you want to see to know where about on stage they are typically situated, and then base your seat preference on that. Service was prompt and friendly. At the recommendation of our server, I ordered the pot stickers and a martini, both very good. Personal space can be tight, especially if your neighbor decides to order a multi-course meal.

Very tight seating, amazingly delicious food, and wonderful waitstaff are the highlights of local shows! We've been to a few different shows here and have enjoyed each & every experience! TRY to get tickets early and in a booth! The 'bar' seating is tight. Along the wall is tight, and limited for viewing. Go. Get something on the front row and just have fun. THEN decide where you'll want to sit in the future!

We attended a show the end of June. This was our first experience with the new menu. We couldn't have been more disappointed. We always looked forward to eating there when the previous menu was in place. Now the menu provided less food options that we were interested in, and at higher prices. Also, the sides were extremely expensive. I had the short ribs. They were not that tender and lacked flavor. Also the dish had BOTH high carb white rice AND potatoes. WHAT? The carrots were delicious. A better option would have been an entire portion of carrots instead of the potatoes. Both foods must be fairly equivalent in portion cost. I just can't believe that TWO starch white carbohydrates were on the plate. For $34 it would be nice to have a real vegetable portion of the carrots. One of our dinner party had the chicken and there was a real vegetable portion of brussel sprouts on it, so this idea was not completely foreign to the chef. My wife ordered a side of mashed potatoes to go with her salmon poke (which was delicious). The potatoes arrived very lukewarm. When we finally tracked down our server, we asked him to replace the serving with a hot portion. We got a warm portion that cooled down quickly again. Also, they were mostly flavorless - lacking sufficient wasabi, salt, butter, etc. Almost tasted like instant potatoes. And $12 for this side?????? You have got to be kidding me. She also had the beet salad. I have never tasted such water logged beets before. Not crispy and fresh like what you would expect - especially for the price. Others in our party reported the chicken was good, but the Kale salad with salmon also lacked flavor. She was looking for salt to add. The food used to come from the Wild Ginger kitchen. Can't believe that this is still the case. Also, the service is never great, especially for the price. I wrote the manager before publishing this critical e-mail, providing an opportunity for a reply. Never heard back. Really?

I love jazz, and I am very excited about moving to Seattle and having great jazz clubs nearby. Last night we were at Triple Door to listen to the Canadian piano player and singer Laila Biali. Her voice, charming persona, and great band were wonderful to listen to and see. The venue was perfect, food good enough, and service fantastic. I expect to be at the Triple Door once or twice a week. Thank you Triple Door!

On a whim I stopped in to hear some live music. The Shook Twins were off the charts fantastic. The sound is great from the sides of the main stage but from 80% of the center seats the acoustics are great. Drink prices are reasonable and the service was very prompt. Great time!

Ok $20 for a seeing and hearing a great musician not much. Am I right? Recently saw Kaki King here and I really thought that I should leave the artist a tip. I know people like those touring Broadway Musicals, but how many times can you see Book of Morman? Here I saw 2 innovative artists for a fifth of the price and I could have a great drink and see the stage up close. The sound was not overwhelming like it can sometimes be in these smaller places. Perfectly balanced. I didn’t have to sacrifice my hearing to enjoy the concert. It really was a great evening. It doesn’t really matter who’s playing. At this price you can stop by, have a drink and listen to some music...if it doesn’t suit you you can just walk away.

Went to the Triple Door last night - saw Trace Bundy and the Shook Twins. Wonderful show. The food and service was excellent. Have a wonderful time - can't wait to go back!

Comfortable booths, smaller tables and bar seating. Outstanding food from Wild Ginger. Great and varied performers/music come to Wild Ginger; keep an eye on their calendar for updates! Get there early so you can enjoy the food before the show starts.

Just got back from the heart concert. Show was great food was very very disappointing. After eating there before this was a huge letdown. White rice and potatoes with pot roast. Ok at a dinner but shocking compared what the food used to be. I will eat before I go next time.

If you'd rather have a wonderful seat with ample table space to eat and drink, with a great view of the musicians, The Triple Door takes the prize. The cool tables are for slightly larger parties, and they are simi-circles, well padded and intimate, on several levels down front for a great viewing experience. It is good to reserve one of those babies for parties of four or more. We have seen individual blues artists, great classical guitarists, blues musicians and local rock bands here. Sometimes the place really rocks and there is plenty of room down front for spontaneous dancing when you can't sit still. The food is decent, a cut of above greasy spoon dive junk. The beer and wine selections are good and you don't have to wait in line at a bar to get your drink. You can also enjoy the ground level night club bar if you want to hang out after or before the show. We come to Seattle just for the Triple Door, and it is the preferred place to see a real artist because of the intimacy and great accoustics of the building.

Nice smaller venue with cool shows. Not your normal mix. We saw the burlesque version of the Nutcracker Suite called Land of the Sweets. Hilarious! Next week we have a music concert. Looks like a great place for music. Fun!

This is a great place to go for live music. It's a small, intimate setting and a full service restaurant as well. The service is impeccable and they have a great wine list. They share the kitchen with the Wild Ginger Thai restaurant. Try the noodles with seafood. It can feed a family! If you get a booth and don't buy all the seats, the remaining seats are open for others to buy. Countertop section 210 is hard to get in and out of. This is one of my favorite places for live music. The valet parking is the same price as garage parking!

Had an impromptu dinner there and had no trouble getting a table. The food was absolutely amazing and the cocktails worked with it perfectly. Service was very good with recommendations and suggestions as well as timely service.

I went to see a favorite artist perform. I honestly cannot comment on the food as I did not eat there. There is no bad seating in the main stage area. The arrangement of booths and seating could not be better. The area was full but never felt over-crowded at any time. After a great show (with great sound) I went to the Musicquarium Lounge and enjoyed the remainder of the free musical performance and a good drink. The whole evening was a great experience and I look forward to a return visit. Next time I will have to sample the food!

Went to see Herb Alpert 3/30/18. Herb, Lani & Co are truly a treasure and we weren't disappointed. The Triple Door is also a great, intimate venue. That's about where it ended for us. This was a sold out show and we bought a 6 top booth. We showed up early, hungry and thirsty only to find that someone in management had given our booth away a friend??? Bad enough, but then we had to wait 10 minutes for the "friends" to vacate and another 5 minutes for booth prep. We requested and were granted, comp drinks from one of the staff. After finally seating it took wait staff ~5 more minutes to stop by for our drink order. We informed our waitress of the comp drink offer, she took our order then disappeared for another 5+ minutes. Then a young arrogant dude (manager?) shows up and proceeds to tell us that we weren't inconvenienced and starts spewing some other rhetoric. At this point, one of our party stopped the "dude" and read him the riot act. The dude then started backpedaling and asked us if we liked bubbles. Bubbles? WTF? He returns with a bottle of champagne and some bs story. He coulda/shoulda just comp'd the drink order and disappeared (like the wait staff) instead of annoying our table with his presence. As previous reviews have mentioned, the once great menu now sux and the food is horribly prepared, arrived at different times for each in our party and, not to be outdone, they forgot to place the meal order for one of us. As if this couldn't get any worse, as I write this the morning after I just heard from one of our party who has food poisoning. She had the Tofu Eggplant. Note to self - Don't get the tofu eggplant. Through the years, we have really enjoyed the unique experience of the Triple Door but I don't think we will return. Hard to believe such a stellar place went downhill so fast. So long Tripple Door, been nice to know ya.

What a great concept this place is. You get to hear awesome music - the night we were there was a jazz singer who grew up in Seattle, half the audience was family and friends + you get to eat Wild Ginger food - a restaurant that has been serving good food from the early 1990s. I remember when this restaurant was the place to go for innovative food. It is still serving great food in a setting where we had comfortable seating close to the stage, attentive service, and I already mentioned the great food. I wish we had a venue like this in Sacramento! I would recommend it highly for dinner and a show.

If you like an intimate evening the Triple Door is sexy. It was a speakeasy in the day and has retained that underground, secret, need-to-know-the-password essence. It's a great acoustic outlet for music but I found it loud for electric sound.

I'm sure a venue like this gets its share of reviews based on the quality of the performances, rather than on its own. That said, this review may be biased upwards because our show was incredible..Steep Canyon Rangers in April. The place itself is really a neat place to visit with several venues under the one roof (hence triple door) each leading to its own section..sorta.. We had to stand in line outside for a bit, but they did a nice job of getting people queued up and seated promptly after the doors opened. We had great seats in the first row of booths center stage.. We had a booth for four, which meant we shared space with another couple..which really didn't bother us. The theater is set up like an old school Vegas lounge/dinner theater with some rows of tables and big booths. Service was good, not overly attentive but as everyone was seated at the same time, I won't be too harsh on not having individual attention. He was a good guy and personable, but if we wanted something, we had to flag him down. We were surprised by the food menu..Thai..didn't expect that..but it was good. We shared a pad Thai. They have a good wine list, but weighted toward the local wa wines (we found a Russian river Pinot instead). Use the online ticketing service for the show..it is set up well. The views are good from every angle, unless you are in the far back stage right booth..you're behind a post..don't pick that one online.

Know getting a table at the restaurant at the wild ginger inside the triple door takes more advance notice than a day or 2 even on a weekday. We.sat in the aquarium lounge. Drinks were weak and high priced and the menu is slim and narrow in flavors. The bar got busy quickly when the live started and we quickly had no wait staff. Our 4 entrees came out 2 then the other 2 more than 20 minutes later. For an established restaurant with $35 plates the wait and neglect is hard to swallow. $230 later for 4 smallish meals we won't return. The dishes were decent and well presented and typical Thai flavors.

The building appears to be an old historic dinner club that was made just for the ultimate dinner / concert. It appeared that every seat in the house was "prime". The service was a smidge slow, but more than adequate. Although I didn't order dinner, those around me that did have dinner appeared to be quite satisfied. On top of all that, the concert (Al Stewart) was fantastic. I've never been to the Tripple Door before, but I will be back!

Love that the menu is from Wild Ginger. Most of my favorites available. Have never had anything I didn't like at least four stars' worth at Wild Ginger, and same for Triple Door. Fun atmosphere for any kind of show, though if you don't like having to twist your neck to see the stage, make sure you choose a table facing the stage. Last outing there we had booth seats along a side wall and it was not fun watching the show from that angle. Sometimes people are packed in pretty tightly and views are blocked. Nice staff, very helpful. If I"m there to see a show, I like to get there early and at least order dinner before the lights go way down low.

I've been to the Triple Door a few times, once to see a friend band play in bar area near the large fish tank. The bar area is a very relaxed, chill atmosphere to talk and have drinks with friends. Down stairs was my next adventure when I went to see my first burlesque show, Alice in Wonderland. The food from Wild Ginger was fantastic, the staff to seat and sereve you are darling and the shows...oh my goodness the shows! the choreography, costumes and script are OUTSTANDING! You would be a fool to not expierience this. I've always sat very close to the front so I get the feathers, snow, bubbles, etc on my table. I've seen all of the burllesque shows that they offer, they are all fantastic!
Needs to go back to the way it used to be
Apparently a new manager has taken over at the Triple Door. Our server mentioned this last night (9-17-16) as we asked a couple of questions about changes to the menu and policies and were told that "new manager policy." First, when we arrived for an 8:00 pm show at 6:30 to have dinner before the show, there was a slide show running at the front of the venue and in the show it said, "Order drinks prior to an hour before the show to get Happy Hour pricing." When I asked about this I was told that was no longer the policy. It was only upstairs in the bar. Then take the slide down. It just means opening a PowerPoint and deleting or changing that slide. Then the menu. The obviously most popular item has always been the Fragrant Duck entrée and yet it has been removed. We heard lots of people asking about it and coming away disappointed. It is now available as an appetizer for $10 for two buns, pre-made. It used to be an entire portion of duck (enough for two) and it used to sell for either $18 or $28 (for half a duck). You can still get that upstairs from Wild Ginger for less than that. I understand trying to simplify your menu but taking away the MOST popular entrée and turning it into an overpriced appetizer is just wrong. The rest of the menu has some great (if overpriced) appetizers and the entrées have gotten weak. This is our last dinner at the Triple Door. With the new menu we will either eat upstairs or go elsewhere and then show up for the show. Sad.
