Refreshing choices

By Mrs W |

Freshly prepared, delicious vegetables as well as meats. Great pairings. Great flavors and spices. Good wine and beer choices. Friendly wait staff. Bustling atmosphere.

Air Conditioning not working on a 100 degree day

By PBeckerle |

Great food, good service but really clueless management if they think diners can enjoy their meals with sweat dripping off their nose. We were told that the AC had gone out days before. I know you can have your AC fixed quickly. Especially in Texas in Summer. I heard other dinners also saying it was unbareable it was inside.

Awesome.

By Diana B |

This has become a staple in our dining places in Dallas. The service is top notch. The food is beyond amazing. We love that the menus go along with the seasonal availability of the ingredients .

very efficient

By molllly |

coming from Tampa it was a change run very well, staff attentive, helpful but not in your face food well prepared, many choices lively atmosphere in the good sense clean wish Tampa had a place like this

Another Dallas Vegan Gem

By pkizziar |

There are several items on the menu that are actually vegan but the VLT is awesome!! The ancient grains bowl is also awesome and good size portion as well.

Good healthy food and good service

By Mark G |

I have been to True Food at Preston several times and each experience has beed good to excellent. I did not think the True Food in Plano was as good - the appetizer we had there was previously frozen so the taste and the pool of water detracted. However, the Preston location has always been good. We usually sit outside as the air conditioning inside can be polar. The drinks (mixed or beer) have been excellent as well. We generally do not get desert here so I can not comment on the quality of that part of a meal. Additionally, I am allergic to Canola oil - they don't use that cheap junk - Yay! Vegans and Vegitarians can find plenty of options as well. Overall I highly recommend this place.

wonderful surprise

By Cameron F |

not headed here, went to Sprinkles and were actually headed elsewhere for dinner when we saw this, the name grabbed me for some reason so we walked over and saw menus. loved the "organic idea". took a chance and were glad we did! Son got pizza and I got the sea bass. Son got the honey lemonade (so refreshing and sweetened just right). We will be back as soon as we return to D

Best food in along time!!!

By cpollart |

The food ,drink and dessert, seasonal, fresh and fantastic!!! Everything was great atmosphere, waiter and seating. We will be back!!!

OUTSTANDING ALTERNATIVE!

By BobLovesEurope |

Everything is incredible here......EVERYTHING! It is a very active environment and a bit loud but the food makes up for that in every way. Incredible selection for a variety of diverse tastes making it an awesome place for everyone. Try their specialty cocktails!

This might make a vegan of you

By SugarHillSweet |

Fantastic and delicious appetizers And meals in a nice airy place. Nice to have enough light to read a a dinner menu and all food was fresh and scrumptious. Good service and fair prices!

Love this place

By Sparky8188 |

I never leave here disappointed!! I also never leave feeling heavy and actually feel good about what I ate!! Service is great and the menu has a large variety of healthy choices!! I recommend the quinoa burger!! I also always get the combo of sweet potato hash with kale salad as the side! The juices are great too! Tried the jasmine tea and it was really yummy! You can't go wrong here! Sign up for emails and get special offerings and a free dessert on your birthday!!

Fresh &a Delicious!

By Alissa G |

The staff is extremely friendly and attentive and the food is so good! Get the spaghetti squash, you won't be sorry :)

Pricey but delicious

By sybil_unrest |

I wish their prices were a little more in line with what the food is- basically, health food in attractive settings- but the ancient grains bowl I had was delicious and my friends liked their spaghetti squash casserole and quinoa burger. I appreciate that wine can be a 6 or 9 ounce glass- we’d had a 9 ounce day! Tons of really delicious vegan options, which I appreciated. Patio is lovely but covered in mosquitoes. I’m surprised they didn’t have any citronella going, with the emphasis on natural and healthful living. Service was quick, professional, and pleasant.

Mehh! Wanted to love it!

By Kerri P |

Fun venue /a la carte dining in a popular area, loaded with boutiques, eateries ... Edamame guac was fabulous, fresh and chunky with black olives, cherry tomato halves and edamame. Hummus equally good and both were served with generous amounts of ‘dippers’. One diner got a beef burger rather than the beet burger. The beet burger brought after the fact, she found tasty, especially w/ the jicama slaw on the sandwich. A huge pile of kale accompanied it. Fig Gorgonzola flatbread was excellent, if skimpy on fig slices. The sweet potato hash does not meet the definition of ‘hash’ at all and all four diners found that side dish ‘underwhelming’! The butternut squash pizza with goat cheese and cranberries was enjoyed by another diner. Get there before 6 to get reduced price cocktails and appetizers. Otherwise, overpriced. Service was excellent though!

Really excellent

By caroleiaap |

Really enjoyed my meal - there were several dishes I wanted to try, it was hard to narrow it down. So I'll have to come back!

Consistently good to great

By EddieLonghorn |

Considering its proximity to Highland and University Parks, this restaurant is surprisingly unsnooty, unfussy and refreshing. The fact everything is "healthy" seems secondary to the fact everything is "good." Go during an off time or expect to wait. They've had a massive turnover in staff and the overly congenial staff that opened TFK in November is gone. But I think they've followed a very smart PF Chang's edict of "don't have a favorite server, every server should be your favorite."

Healthy, Tasty, Creative Food

By Txoutdoorsman |

A bit pricey, but I definitely recommend this place for anyone that cares what they put in their body. Lots of choices, and extremely well-done.

Very good fresh food

By BigZee07 |

Came here with my wife for the first time based on a recommendation from a friend. We ordered a salmon dip appetizer, Thai curry, and a pizza. All were very good. Food can take a while to prepare so it will take a while before your food comes out but it's worth it. Little bit on the pricey side though. Overall will definitely return (with a coupon in hand from joining their email club)

Great Healthy Meal

By cm55323 |

Love the various bowls. Super creative and lots of flavor - not boring health food. Cocktails are tasty !!

Great Lunch

By chzagara |

Really enjoyed lunch here. The kale guacamole is fabulous. Great selection of tea and lunch entrees. Easy ordering for, vegetarians, vegans, and gluten free

Deliciously healthy cuisine!

By K W |

If you like healthy, tasty farm-to-table eats then this is your place. They craft unique dishes with vegan and veggie options. I actually ordered the same meal again because it was so healthy and food. It is a bit pricy but hence the “location”. So, budget for this worthwhile experience. Tips: call ahead to ensure theirs is not a “wait” especially during peak dining times. Also, go online to spec out the menu. Bonus is that is located right across from Sprinkles cupcakery in the Prestonwood Plaza.

Amazing food and great service!

By Guide764543 |

This place is a must try if you haven’t already. The food, drinks, and service are all great! I had a pizza (probably the best I’ve had in years) and a Grapefruit Thai Basil martini. Yummy! It’s all farm to table and very fresh food, with so many delicious options! You are able to see into the kitchen, and even when they got slammed everyone (servers, chefs, bartenders etc.) managed to stay cool, calm and collective. All staff is very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

Way over priced

By Dallas N |

We were in the Dallas, Tx location, The food was fine, the service was good. But, my wife and I ordered two of the least expensive entrees with a happy hour appetizer and two non-alcoholic drinks. The total was still over $70. Nothing about the experience was near good enough to justify the price.

Wonderful fresh fair foodto table food

By travelling4fun18 |

First time I went to this restaurant, I was so impressed with the food that I returned that evening for dinner with my extended family. Fresh healthy choices with clear designationsof gluten and or dairy free. The salad was great at lunchtime. Dinner, the fish was very good and I hope to return to this chain again.

Its losing its likability

By Sonic Tumbler |

I had lunch there yesterday. It was very disappointing. The noise level was so loud that we had to practically yell to be heard. It was a business lunch. The person with whom I was dining even stated " I feel like I am yelling, it is so noisy in here". She had even relocated our table in hopes of getting to an area with a lower noise level. No success. My usual dish that I have had probably 20 times was mediocre. The service was average. I can't schedule another lunch here with anyone else until I am assured that the noise level is going to be lower, and the food better.

Interesting menu

By Evelyn U |

Very "in" place -m lots of noise - lots of people talking. There is a nice patio area but they don't always have it open

Great Restaurant & Amazing Food

By MrsMomOf24rmTX |

This was our first visit here. I found them on Open Table which had really great reviews. Our waitress was fabulous. She was very peppy and seemed to really enjoy working there. We ordered several items that she suggested and were not disappointed. I had the medicine man which was so, so good. My husband had a cran and pom mimosa. The kiddos had yummy banana and date smoothies which tasted like a banana and almond butter sandwich.I had the smashed avocado toast and loved it. Hubby had quinoa johnny cakes which he enjoyed. Kiddos had a chicken teriyaki bowl and blueberry muffin. Everything was so fresh and delicious. It took a good while for our food to come out but it was worth it knowing that everything was made from scratch. I took several pictures.

Nice Atmosphere, Average Food, High Prices

By HawgFan64 |

Happened to be visiting Dallas and family suggested we eat at True Foods. The decor is casual but attractive and the service is very attentive; however the food is just average but the prices are not average. I had the Panang Curry without the mushrooms but it came with the mushrooms. The curry just didn't have much taste and the extra chicken was about a quarter of a breast. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but probably would not go back with the prices being high. Too many great places to eat in Dallas to accept a compromise.

Good food with unusual (but good) ingredients

By mgn988 |

Many healthy options with Calories listed on the menu. Great selection of hot teas... quick and casual dinning. There is an outside seating area as well.

Lunch before delayed flight

By tammyhagelberg |

True Food continues to impress with healthy quality choices. We were able to get a seat at the bar during the busy lunch hour. Their seasonal chicken wrap was delicious as well as the Accused Amber Lager. I really enjoyed the sweet potato hash-it’s always delish!

Fantastic

By Ppoupore |

The menu is quite varied as well as enticing. The number and variety of vegan choices was delightful. We had the roasted Brussels Sprouts with chili threads and kale guacamole with grapefruit and were in Gastronomic paradise. The wine list is extensive, seating comfortable and service exemplary.

TRULY natural and great!

By George B |

Great, healthy, natural recipes and food you'll love to keep eating... especially love the quinoa Johnny cakes at weekend brunch! Love the healthy drinks as well... Lively, European style seating and atmosphere. could do 3 meals a day. Highly recomended!

All around disappointed

By Flyawy |

We had good experiences before, haven't been back since COVID until we are fully vaccinate. Our today's experience was nothing, service was super slow, food wasn't good and one of our drinks had a long hair in it. Eww! We send it back, of course it took a long time to get the replacement. In the end we got charged for the drink with hair. Had to ask our server to correct the bill. Over all it was a bad dinning experience.

Exceptional!

By SJMontreal |

I love this place! The perfect variety of healthy food with a touch of cheating permitted. Quality ingredients all around. Lively atmosphere and wonderful service. Must try when in Dallas and wanting to avoid a heavy steak!

Consistently good.

By Julie H |

I'm a fan of True Food Kitchen. Yes, True Food Kitchen is a chain. But a good one! I do a terrible job of ordering new things. I'm pretty stuck on the edamame dumplings, autumn/winter ingredient salad and spaghetti squash casserole. They are delicious! I like the environment. It's a Sonoma vibe in the middle of Park Cities and the service is normally very good. I recommend True Food and will definitely go back over and over myself.

Flavor-filled, great service

By MSLovell |

TFK offers vegan-friendly fresh food with flavor. We enjoyed the Edamame Dumplings (broth is delicious too), Creamy Tomato Soup, Sweet Potato Soba noodles. All were warm (it was rainy & cold) and hearty. Tea selections were good, but wish there were more herbal /noncaffeine offerings. Service was good. We were seated at noon on the 'heated' patio, but I didn't take my coat off! There was a 20 minute wait for inside. So if you're thinking of 'peak time', I'd recommend a reservation.

Great place!

By Sofia S |

This is somewhere you know you’ll always eat something good! The Hangover is by far my favorite drink, bows, pizza and dumplings are amazing... if u can become oblivious to the noice level then u r sure to have a good time!

Great food, good environment.

By Joni P |

We had lunch here today and I feel like I ate well. The quality was definitely there. It is a bit pricey for the portions however I don't mind paying extra for organic food. They also had a good wine selection which was nice, and they offered a full bar - surprising for a health food restaurant but they pretty much had anything you could want. And the service was great.

Delicious Food, Delightful Ambiance

By jlbran84 |

I ate here during Thanksgiving week. The layout of the restaurant is lovely. It wasn't too loud. I had some bourbon drink that was delicious. Everything on the menu looked delectable. I had the kale salad, sweet potatoes, and the quinoa burger. It was absolutely phenomenal. The servers weren't too intrusive but weren't particularly memorable either. I will definitely be coming back to try something else on the menu!

Squash Pie = FANTASTIC

By VegasBling |

Our group of five had two Vegans in it and everyone was able to enjoy something different. The juices tasted wonderful as well as the lemonade and beer options. The pizza was amazing! Almost like Italy! The vegetable dishes were well seasoned. and the Squash Pie - yum! Restaurant was very crowded even at 2:30 pm. However, seating moves quickly. Overall amazing experience - would definitely return.

NOT True Foods

By J10001 |

Over priced food and beverages combined with poor to no service is the only thing "true" at True Foods. The store managers spend more time fraternizing and flirting with their staff than serving customers. On sunny days, the managers leave the plastic flaps down on the patio because it's to much work to raise them according to one staff member. Do not go here for patio seating unless you enjoy sitting in a dark tent. A lot of great places to eat in this area- True Foods is not one of them.

Worst server ever!

By saralee93 |

The serves was terrible!!! Food was pretty good but got ruined because of the crappy server. His name was andrew! He would give us attitude every time we asked for anything. Also I'm sorry but it's inappropriate to be all over anther worker while in front of customers. It was a terrible service. I will go back but not to that location!

Good and Good for You

By Leonard C |

Conveniently located a couple of blocks from our Dallas condo, True is an absolute delight. The menu is constantly changing as available food changes. Tremendous service and very helpful and friendly staff.

This place has amazing food and amazing managers

By Nishendu |

We went there with two picky eaters, and all of us had really great meals. Drinks were excellent. Since this place is new, and busy things were a bit slow and not terribly organized but the food and drinks solved all the problems. There was a small miscommunication with one managers but they resolved it in a graceful manner. Again only way to understand how good this place is is to go and eat there.

Hipster food

By lakedog66 |

True food....as opposed to fake? This is a very popular hipster type restaurant that has is using fresh and "organic" ingredients. This place was very busy, but did not have the outdoor area open due to some rain. It is in a shopping complex and not too easy to see. The waitstaff was very busy, we had a table with 6 who all needed separate checks, but our waiter handled it ok, but he did bring me the wrong drink. The food had fresh ingredients, I had a noodle bowl and the noodles were stuck together in parts. The descriptions of the meals is hipster foodie and the menu is online. Would it be my favorite place if I lived there, probably not, but the food was good.

Great food that's good for you!

By MsTravels100 |

I love to come here to eat out because the food is very tasty and it's healthy! I've met friends here for brunch, lunch and dinner - always a great time with good food and creative drinks (both with and without alcohol)! Love the salads and the bowls that you build with veggies plus meats and grains - there are a lot of choices, so you can design your own meal combination. The inside-out sandwich with quinoa paddies is very tasty... plus lots of other signature dishes that you won't find at other places. Casual and fun, with a nice patio when the weather is good. Love it!

Low Carb Delicious

By Debbie E |

We came here for lunch while visiting Dallas. It was sunny and bright with a lot of windows for natural light. We ate inside, but there was a neat porch area too. I had the grass fed burger without the bun and it was served with kale salad on the side. Loved the healthy side choices.

Love it, but...

By Beachiekeen69 |

...I just don't know how many more times I can spend $45 on Sunday brunch. Plus their already astronomical mimosas went up another dollar. My love affair is waning. It's sad that great, healthy food can't be more affordable. I also really wish they would bring back their amazing key lime pie.

We loved everything!

By JChaff12 |

I had the seasonal salad, edamame dumplings, roasted Brussels and my husband had the quinoa teriyaki bowl and roasted cauliflower. It was all so good!!!

Made my wife very happy

By DallasCyclist |

All very organic food cooked really well. All organic. Good choices for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Service was prompt and courteous. We will be back with friends. They have a nice patio that will likely be well used in warmer months. The prices were very reasonable also.

Can we please get True Food Kitchens in Western Mass or Enfield, CT?

By Myra |

This was the best place we've been to in a long time... and that's because we weren't where we live! We flew to Dallas and man oh man I always wonder, what the HECK am I doing living in Western MA where I can't find food like THIS? So healthy and creative and they had the most wonderful warm drinks that were healthy too. We went there twice during a 5-day trip. One one day for lunch and then again the following day for a bite to eat plus take out for our plane ride home. (Turkey roll up sandwiches). Boy, it's tough being back home. What a great place. Healthy choices. Local foods. Organic. Music to my GI system and tastebuds. and blood. haha

Great Burger, Fresh Vegs

By Angela Hough |

Thoroughly enjoyed a grass fed beef burger (sans bun) with sweet potato hash. Service was very friendly. Their vegetarian offerings were abundant, wish more gluten free stuff was on the menu. Overall, a great choice.

Incredible!!

By VbarS |

My best friend and I decided to try this place for lunch on Friday and it was a great choice! They have a seasonal menu that changes 4 times a year. I enjoyed the spaghetti squash casserole and the pomegranate lemonade. She ate the chicken chopped salad. Both were delicious! The atmosphere was awesome and our server was incredible! We both really enjoyed the food and will be back! It's got options for everyone and the menu is clearly marked if you are vegan, gluten free, etc. So happy to know there is a place like this in Dallas!

Quinoa burger? You bet!!

By 814jamesu |

Fantastic fresh food with down to earth staff. No question is stupid. Mostly vegetarian dishes, but non-vegetarian dishes as well. A contemporary open-air neighborhood restaurant. The quinoa burger was unbelievable. That's a lot coming from a steak person from Texas!

Great choice for a business or casual lunch

By Randy Thompson |

To start, make sure you get a reservation. I did and it would have been trouble had I not because this place filled up fast. And it was easy to understand why as I looked over the menu. Lots of organic, farm fresh options to choose from. Atmosphere was nice and bright with a ton of natural light. Service was efficient and polite. All in all a great first experience and I will be back again for sure.

Wonderful Father's Day meal

By 860SusanB860 |

My husband and I dined here on Saturday before Father's Day to avoid the crowds. Service was great and the food was wonderful! We began with cocktails - the Dragon Fruit Margarita and The Monarch. Both were colorful, cold, and thoroughly refreshing. Our appetizer choice was the Charred Cauliflower and it was certainly a hit. Our entrees were the Chicken Parm Pita and the Steak Tacos (all gluten free) and the food was tasty and well-seasoned. Dessert was the Flourless Chocolate Cake which was a definite hit! We had a great meal and will definitely be returning soon. Great food and service with plenty of gluten-free options is a WIN in my book!

No Coke No Pepsi

By David G |

How refreshing, wonderful drinks hand made and who needs HFCS and all the chemicals. Glutin free options and the menu is wonderful. Everything was perfect and the desert was off the charts. Very cool location and the outdoor seating is perfect on a nice day. Perfect for the ladies too, very light and wide selection of lady food. I had the buffalo burger, wonderful.

Delicious Brunch Splurge

By sandypm |

We were the first ones to arrive on a Sunday morning around 10:50. It filled up fast and was packed by noon. Efficient, courteous staff and well maintained facility. Excellent menu variety. Very expensive. Brunch for 2 with one dessert and 2 Bloody Mary's was $75 before the tip.

I'll pass

By Droid19 |

I visites TFK with another vegan, 2 vegetarians, and a meat eater. The decor is great, the idea behind the restaurant is awesome. Even the server was nice and helpful. That being said i'll pass on coming here again. Everyone else's food was great, delicious, and spectacular. Mine was not. I got the mushroom lettuce wraps. Long story short. Every single piece of lettuce, except one, had dirt and a dead fly on it. I alerted the server and he was very kind and went and spoke to a manager, which was great. However, the manager never came over to apologize or express his concern. In most businesses, if a customer is unhappy, the concern is addressed. The fact the nothing happened saddened me becausei really wanted to like TFK. Yes, my meal was taken off of the ticket and they probably don't need my business, but customer service does go a long way. Anytime someone suggests TFK for dinner, i will pass.

For the dining out health nut

By Soannia |

Been to this place twice now and I love it! Great food, rustic atmosphere, and service is always good. Definitely a healthier option if you go out to eat which is always a plus in my book. I'm a vegetarian, so having tons of options is great. Between apps and entrees and fresh juice, I'm a happy camper. We got the Kale & Avocado dip which comes w/ pita chips. It was definitely flavorful- especially with bits of grapefruit in it. I will say it was a bit on the small side, especially when shared between 3 people (2 of which are guys and basically at the whole thing! haha). For my entree, I got the Spaghetti Squash casserole. OMG. It was soooo good AND huge! TIP: instead of adding meat, they they will add roasted veggies too it!! I didn't even know this was an option until the waitress offered it. +1 True Food! I was bummed since I had just barely missed brunch so I asked if they had anymore banana muffins. Just because it's not on the menu, they still make them til 4pm. So, of course I got one. Moist and not too sweet. This place is great, I will caution though if you are hungry and wanting regular Texas portions, this place serves regular portions, which was fine by me.

Surprising healthy food!

By Marta D |

I was surprised by the ingredient combinations and also by the fact that it is a great place to eat if you have any type of food allergy or intolerance. You will find something delicious to eat every time. The menu changes quarterly and they have a good wine and beer selection as well.

The best fresh healthy tasty food.

By John N |

Lots of options but all fresh ingredients from burgers to salads to flatbreads. I had the kale salad with salmon which was fantastic. Juicy and delicious. But everything our party ate was good.

Refreshingly Healthy

By Leonard C |

One of our "Go To" restaurants in Dallas. Seasonally fresh foods and evolving menu. Great service and decor. A must visit, and you'll return.

Healthy, Tasty, Friendly

By D David |

True Food is an upbeat light environment with healthy food selections. We had the turkey wraps with kale salad and the freshness and flavors were excellent. It’s busy so a reservation is recommended.

Where to go for healthful and tasty!

By Gail M |

The menue is seasonal and filled with heathful selections. The food was fresh, well cooked and well spiced. Service was good and the food came quickly. My only complaint was the tables are way too close to each other so there is no privacy in your conversation.

Excellent food and service

By lgillisp |

I had lunch with a friend here and it was excellent. The food really was fresh. I had the spaghetti squash and added their chicken sausage to it and I would definitely order it again. They also have healthy drinks and the ones we had were very good. Our server was friendly and happy to make recommendations and adjustments. The atmosphere and the service was excellent as well. The food is refreshing and the experience enjoyable.

Great place for lunch

By BarbK303 |

Recently found this restaurant and had a great lunch there. Loved the menu, especially that it was vegan friendly! Highly recommend and will definitely be back.

Amazing!!!!

By Kizerkot9 |

What a find, I was so happy to find this place since I have turned gluten free, what a lovely place!! It was packed, thank God we made reservations on a weekday!! Great vibe, peoples faces when they try their food was picture perfect! A well put together menu, everyone can eat here!!! We ordered the butternut squash soup, from the daily soup special, it was so yummy!!!! I ordered the pad Thai with Tufo oh my God it was amazing!!!! I so recomme d this place and I will back for sure!

Always excellent food and service....HOWEVER....

By Bill K |

I have always eaten at least once per week at this location and the atmosphere, food quality and staff are fantastic. On my last several visits during this pandemic with all of us having to wear masks, there has been a True Food employee that continues to wear a mask with bold letters of "Black Lives Matter". I believe that personal, political and social statements should not be displayed in a public restaurant by anyone working for the restaurant. I would highly urge you to have this employee use a similar mask to your other employees to eliminate potential conflicts.

$120 for pizza and beet burger

By CraftBeers |

This is my third or forth time visiting True Food, and my opinion is the same. It's good food with extraordinarily high prices that prevent me from coming back very often. Today we ordered a squash pizza, beet burger, two appetizers, drinks and a dessert. Our total tab was $120 for three people. I can't justify that kind of spending for a casual restaurant. The flavors in my veggie burger were good, but it was not special. The squash pizza blended nicely, but was relatively bland. I did like my food, and I really like the healthy options. However, it has to be affordable for sustained visits, or be over-the-top great at those prices. I prefer Modern Market and Flower Child over this place. Modern market is reasonably priced with the same flavor levels, while Flower Child is pricey like True Food, but they do a much better job in the flavor department.

Crunchy, yes! Flavorful, not so much…

By Kip C |

If you’re looking for “crunchy” this may be your place. If you’re looking for flavorful or value you’d probably better move on down the road. The restaurant was half empty at peak lunch hour on Saturday which is never a great sign. The service was prompt and attentive but for the price the food was very mediocre. The all American burger was the worst $20 burger I’ve ever had, actually, it was one of the worst burgers I’ve had of any price. But hey, you should feel good about it because it was grass-fed and organic! The bun, lettuce, and tomato was nice at least. The wife’s turkey burger was far better and pretty delicious, but still not worth the nearly $20 price tag. The burgers come with a salad, but for an upcharge you can get fries. I chose to do so, and they were the worst fries ever. Zero Salt, and zero condiments, I asked for salt and ketchup and was brought some salt and the smallest thimble sized serving of ketchup possible, as the server looked at me condescendingly, and simultaneously pitied the heart attack she knew I was about to have due to my horrific dietary choice. But hey, they were cooked in an air fryer so I should be thanking them right?! Anyway, I know food, and you can easily do healthy that tastes better than this. I felt like the menu should say “all entrees served with a side of self-righteous virtue signaling and seasoned with buzz words”

Highly Recommended

By ScottH9848 |

This place has the perfect formula - Great location, great service and delicious food. Whoever is in charge of this particular location should be commended. We enjoyed every minute and every dish my party of four was very good. Make a reservation-- they honor it and this place can get packed.

My go to place for a good healthy meal...

By Ryan O |

This place has been a favorite for a while now. I really like the Asian style noodle bowl with shrimp- I forget the exact name of it. And the lemonade with chia seeds is one of the best refreshing drinks ever. Another favorite dish is the spaghetti squash casserole.

Awesome Food

By HNBISOFF |

True Food Kitchen was true to the restaurant name. The food was awesome along with the service. A very nice healthy meal at a moderate price.

Excellent food and service. Dirty bathroom.

By Michelle J |

First visit to a True Food Kitchen. The service was great. I loved the seasonal menu and had a very hard time trying to pick because there are so many vegan options. I went with the spinach and mushroom pizza, which was excellent and huge; I couldn't finish it. My only complaint was the bathroom was not clean. It was busy and they need to be cleaning it more often.

True Food Kitchen, true delight

By Caroline B |

Loved my visit to Dallas, went to True Food Kitchen, TFK, Dallas twice for healthy and amazing dinners. Service, ambiance and food quality was wonderful. Hughly recommend.

Simple easy food

By Nikki F |

Went there for dinner. We both have lots of different food sensitivities and we were able to get food that tasted good and didn’t make us sick. So win win! Our server was really nice too:) When I am in Dallas, I will go back:)

Bison burger needs a little work

By smc87 |

I enjoyed the atmosphere and service at True Food Kitchen. Beer selection does not include anything on draft, but is a decent local selection. I had the bison burger with kale and sweet potato hash sides. While this entree was a bit overpriced ($16), the portions were substantial and the food was clearly high quality. A couple of complaints/suggestions: the hamburger bun was not heated/cooked enough, and was also just too much bread. With such a great piece of meat a large thick bun is a distractor. Also, the umami sauce used made the undersides of the buns soggy and in my opinion was not essential to the burger's flavor. Personally I think the burger should be revamped using a different set of ingredients and flavor profile. Looking forward to returning and trying other dishes. Ultimately not sure this would be a destination if I were visiting Dallas from out of town. However, if you're a Dallas resident looking for a new place to try I would definitely recommend True Food Kitchen.

Exceptional Vegan/Pescatarian Venue!

By adrianw151 |

My daughter and I recently dined at True Food Kitchen in Dallas! What an experience! She has been vegan for several years and I am Kosher-style pescatarian. We both had excellent choices and enjoyed our time together. The food and the service were equally excellent. If you are health-conscious, you owe it to yourself to visit the True Food Kitchen!

Fun and unique

By Dudley H |

This is as fresh a meal as you can get. Lots of choices from salads to sandwiches and egg dishes. Order one of their specialty drinks

Wonderful experience

By Kathy I |

First visit to this restaurant. Service was excellent. Waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. Food was healthy and excellent in taste.

Healthy and you won’t be disappointed!

By K W |

If you are in the mood to try something healthier or like to eat healthier, this is your spot! The dishes I have tried so far have been amazing. Also, this location is in a fun outdoor mall where you have options. Once you are done, you can have dessert there and/or walk over to Sprinkles cupcakes. :) 👍👍

Truely disappointing

By Fran B |

I was alone at 5:30 when I walked into True Food for a table. The gal working as the hostess had her back to me ( and the door) and turns around asking if she could help me with something. What? So, I’m seated and sit for at least 5 minutes with no waiter in sight except in the back, where they are all busy chatting amongst themselves. No welcome, no explanation of the menu( even though I told the waiter this was my first visit) I order a salad with salmon on it. It was marginal and very expensive. I was hungry that evening, and also asked for pita bread- was charged a dollar for the bread. It was the worst I’d ever tasted- dried out and sort of gluey. Waiter didn’t bother to ask why I hadn’t eaten but one bite of it. I have a meeting every Tuesday night in the area and was hoping this could become a regular spot for me in between appointments. I won’t bother with True Foods.

Great Colorful Seasonal Food!

By Good_Food_Lover77 |

Been getting tired of eating neutral colored food void of seasonal veggies, so this place was a rare find full of colorful whole foods (many organic) - anyone could enjoy a great meal including vegans and vegetarians! Even their drinks were colorful such as the sparkling (butterfly pea) iced tea which actually looks purple & tastes very refreshing. Super accommodating manager and waitress to all our food issues and needs. Another rare treat - non dairy / coconut ice cream for dessert. It was also very nice to be allowed to take our time and stay as long as we wanted - this modern, new location must be open all day - defiantly worth the long drive we took to find this healthy gem!

True Food is real food!

We visited True Food Kitchen last night and the food was not only healthy but very delicious and enjoyable. The flourless chocolate cake was amazing! The portions were just right to satisfy and keep you from over eating

Not a True Hit

By yogizan |

A birthday celebration with champagne ....but the food was very disappointing. Being gluten free we ordered a gf pizza for appetizer....very overdone and no flavor. We ordered a Halibut entree to share and a salad. The fish was below average and the salad was average. Sorry, but i was expecting better. Maybe they have gotten better since I visited in March.

Good, but loud!

By Agatag |

Today, we went to celebrate a office birthday and we chose True Food Kitchen. Great atmosphere, food was good, not phenomenal, nothing out of the extraordinary. Very busy during lunch and it gets very loud, since it's not a very big space, very hard to hear each other. Also, service, is very slow, due to the large lunchtime rush. Again, food was good, not sure, if going again. The Kale salad was good, but you need to add something to it, not very big. many Gluten Free options and very fresh.

Very good food & very noisy.

By Mohsman |

Went here on a busy Friday evening and had a very good meal on their outdoor patio. My wife and I don't usually sit outside, but it was that or leave. Because, the indoor area was insufferably loud and uncomfortably cold (too much A/C). It was so loud that hmy wife, other couple and I could not hear each other. Did I mention it was extremely noisy? The food and service were excellent, with the roasted cauliflower being our favorite dish. The mushroom pizza and fish tacos were also very good. Unfortunately, I won't be back, without hearing protection.

Great Lunch

By ronl910 |

local favorite for those looking for something fast, tasty and affordable. I really like the fish tacos. neighborhood gem.

But it is great food

By Dudley H |

A place to relax, visit and enjoy great food. Extensive menu and plenty to offer the veggie eater. Good service. Plenty of parking near by.

A Luncheon Gem!

By nbjb |

We enjoyed lunch at this amazing, creative, healthy restaurant. The server was very friendly and attentive, even at the busy lunch hour. The menu is unique and offers vegetarian and gluten free options; all indicated on the menu. Unique beverages are available such as a hot ginger drink and honey lemonade. We enjoyed the new fall menu, especially the spaghetti squash casserole. We had an onion and fig tart (flatbread) as a starter which was outstanding. We will definitely return.

Highly overrated !

By ALEX E |

My daughter suggested this establishment for an evening dinner. I suppose if one is enraptured by relatively unusual offerings and is very, very curious about allegedly healthy sustenance, then this could be your spot . I was only somewhat curious, so I ordered the most expensive thing on the menu, the redfish, and it arrived cold and tasting like the frozen fish one can find at a big box store. The accompaniments, potatoes and some kind of tabouli /kale mixture , remained plateside after one taste of each. My son-in-law ordered what he considered a safety pick, your basic cheeseburger, which he was able to consume with a small degree of satisfaction only to leave his side of whatever that was destined for a return trip to the kitchen and then on to the trash bin.My daughter, of course , was very satisfied with her portion of some kind of offering that I did not recognize . So.....two appetizers, 3 entrees, one beer , and two wines lateral departed with a bill of $113.00 plus tip. There are some wonderful places to eat in this area of Dallas. That is all that I am going to say about that.

Fresh food!

By TravelIntl |

A friend picked up takeout for dinner with my family. The Tuscan Kale and Kale Crunch salads were good. The Turkey Burger was seasoned with middle-eastern spices and was not what we expected. The Spaghetti Squash casserole was good. Portions are reasonable.

Good eatery..

By Genghis K |

This restaurant has healthy dishes in the menu, the selection is not very large, but everything sounds delicious. I tried their quinoa salad, which was good, although the kale was slightly burned. They have a cool patio, which I highly recommend. It could be quite noisy inside. I could barely understand the low speaking waiter. Otherwise, the staff was knowledgeable and professional. Will return there for sure, but will choose to be seated outside.

Pleasant Surprise

By Dallastraveler49 |

I was somewhat reluctant to go this restaurant because I understood that it was focused on a vegetarian menu. I was pleasantly surprised with the diversity and uniqueness of the menu. The options were very creative and the food was wonderfully prepared. The restaurant is very "cutting edge", design wise and very innovative. There were multiple seating option configurations that can suite any size or type of a crowd. The only drawback that I recognized, because of all the hard surfaces, was the potential to carry on a conversation if there is a full house.

Wow

By Dan C |

Friends took me here on recent business trip. I heard it was noted for how fresh and clean and tasty the food was. I loved this place. Our waitress was awesome, most patient and professional with a picky customer (one of my friends). The food was first class, the flavored tea was incredible. Go here!!!! You will be glad you did.

Fresh, delicious food!

By Iboo |

Stopped in for a quick bite and as I am not usually a "health food" eater, I was pleasantly surprised! I had the Teriyaki Brown Rice Bowl with Chicken and it was fabulous! Ate the whole thing!! Also had their delicious honey lemonade and it was amazing! Located in Preston Center, this is a centrally located great restaurant!!

Love it !

By Sonic Tumbler |

I have been to this restaurant at least 5 times now. I have taken friends, family, and I have stopped in for lunch and eaten at the bar. Its just fantastic. The food is fresh, good, and I feel good about what I eat here. I do have a favorite spicy dish that is gluten free. They also have fresh juices. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Not my cup of tea

By sshcwood |

First of all they were out of virtually every beer my colleagues tried to order. Considering they only have a few it was pretty frustrating. The food is not bad just not my type of food. I had the steak tacos they were good.

Wonderful Lunch

By suzwed2 |

My first time dining there today for lunch. Nice clean and crisp atmosphere, although a little noisy. I had the Grilled chicken salad and I must say it was one of the best salads I have had. Great combination of ingredients, just the right amount of dressing, and a perfect portion - I was hungry and ate all but about 15% of it. Service was good. I will definitely be going back for that salad!

This restaurant made me so happy!!

By Karen L |

What an awesome restaurant. It is not easy to find a "healthy" restaurant when traveling. We came across True Food Kitchen on the Internet while in the Dallas area. They offer great vegetarian and vegan dishes with wonderful ingredients. They offer different salad bowls with cooked and fresh veggies and quinoa. We went for dinner and had charred cauliflower as an entree, and two different salad bowls and chia pudding for dessert. We brought local people back the next day for lunch and everyone enjoyed the food. It is a large restaurant. We did not have reservations, but you might want to make them to make sure you have a table. There are various kinds of indoor and outdoor seating (fans and water cool off the outside). It is located in an upscale outdoor shopping center with easy parking.

lovely small plates

By EJsgirl527 |

I have visited here twice. Most recently I went for just an appetizer and conversation with a friend. Each visit the food was great. This time I got the hummus and it was wonderful. The place just has a great atmosphere. The menu has lots of variety that can cater to various pallets or appetites.

Very Enjoyable Restaurant

By Allan |

Ate here with my family during a visit to Dallas. Nice decor, friendly service. Vegetable appetizers were great and creative. Red Chili Shrimp was wonderful. Hope to eat here again!

Excellent healthy food!

By TMB2013 |

My husband, friends and I always enjoy this place. They have great food, that happens to be on the "healthy" end of the spectrum. Some of my favorites are the shiitake mushroom lettuce wraps, the kale crunch salad and the spaghetti squash casserole. Great location! Quite noisy most of the time, but makes it a more fun, energetic place. Highly recommend

Yummy!

By Tia K |

I have been to TF 3 times now and each meal has been great. It is healthy yet very tasty. My favorite is the turkey pita with half kale salad and half sweet potatoes. Their tea and lemonade is very good as well. My husband has had the fish tacos and lasagne. He loved both. Will definitely be back soon!

True Food that's overpriced

By AVGTXN |

Sunday lunch. An ice cream bowl of greens (house salad) with no tomato etc for $4? True. A cereal bowl of steamed broccoli with nothing else on it for $6? True. A muffin-pan sized banana/espresso/pistachio/date muffin for $3? True. A cup of fruit (just bananas, canned pineapple, grapes) for $4? True. A hand-sized serving of very good turkey lasagna for $16? True. Two people eating and no alcohol for $60? True. Overall overpriced by a third? True. Worth coming back? True. Only once every 6-9 months? Very true.

Truly Delicious

By suzannes278 |

The food is fantastic. The service is five star. We love this place. I had the spaghetti squash casserole with kale aid to drink. My family member had the turkey wrap. It was light and delicious. I would definitely recommend going to True Food. It is usually crowded, but worth the wait. We did not have to wait during lunch.

Trendy upscale

By Beth N |

This is a healthy upscale restaurant. Great atmosphere with a urban table kind of feel. Organic chicken, kale salad delicious. Great bar to sit at and people watch. Staff is very friendly.

Great & Lively

Real food served by real people in a really great facility. Eddie, our server was a real entertainer(highly recommend him) Quinoa & Brussels sprouts are killer!!!!

Very good and busy restaurant

By CinAndy |

We did not have reservations for Father’s Day, but sat at the bar. It was great. The gf food was delicious. My husband and I both got gf food and shared. Pomegranate tea was delicious. Dry friendly and attentive. Wished we lived nearby, would go often.

Really good, good for you food

By Ron R |

Had a great experience with the family. Drink menu was creative and really good although a little pricey. Food was fresh and had great flavor.

Healthy you can really enjoy!

By Steven G |

True Food Kitchen in high on our roster of good, reasonably quick, healthy restaurants. Yes we've got to have our cheeseburgers, fries, shakes, etc. from time to time but on a regular basis we like to eat a little healthier. They've got this inside-out burger dish that consists of quinoa, hummus, veggies, etc. and it is very good and very healthy. I also like the brown rice bowls - you can get chicken, fish, or beef on this one and it is really good!

Healthy lunch options

By Lori N |

True Food is all about healthy dishes. I have had the farmer's market salad several times. They change it seasonally, and all have been good. The appetizer herb hummus is excellent-ask for extra pita bread. There is indoor and outdoor seating. It can get busy at lunch. Neat atmosphere and attentive wait staff. (Eat a healthy meal then head across the parking lot to the cupcake vending machine.)

Simply WOW!

By trtzw |

What a wonderful, tasty surprise! True Food Kitchen is definitely an on-trend restaurant. The interior decor is simple. The open kitchen plays right to transparency as you can see all of the excitement as dishes are prepared. The focus is on healthy food, but don't think that will limit your choices or appetite. Our waitress guided us through the menu, highlighting TFK specialities and seasonal specials. The menu changes regularly so there is always a reason to return. Interesting, surprising even creative describe many of the dishes. I had a hard time making a selection as so many things sounded great. I went for the Red Chili Noodles Bowl. I added chicken. Our waitress said "bowls were one of their specialities". It was DELICIOUS! There is also a full bar—that's healthy too, right? I definitely look forward to another visit to TFK!

Best restaurant chain ever! Great location next to Ylang 23!

By acumom |

True Food kitchen is an amazing Andrew Weil creation. The food is amazing, healthy, creative and delicious! There is something on the menu for everyone. In a time when dining out is so unhealthy this small chain is incredible and moreover healthy! We had a wonderful meal and excellent service. As a huge bonus the next store over is Ylang 23 which has the most beautiful jewelry in the world. What an amazing combination in my book! Incredible beauty and food from mother nature!

Great place for a lunch date!

By NCICBill |

Place was packed on a Saturday afternoon. Food was great. Even my Glutiac wife loves the GF inside out burger! The organic egg sammich was really good! Try the lemon chicken soup, if it's available. It was awesome!

Yummy summer menu

By Je |

1. Watermelon Mojito!! 2. Heirloom tomato pizza 3. Grilled fish ( sea bass) tacos! So delicious and they have a nice misty patio to cool down those warm Texas summers :) enjoy!

A True Texas Hug!

We were looking for a place that offered, Fine dinning and healthy alternatives, we hit "Pay Dirt"! Drinks were Honey Lemonade, Apple Carrot Ginger Tonic, very refreshing. Menu items, Herb Hummus with Pita chips, thumbs up. Spaghetti Squash Casserole and Grilled Fish, both very good. The wait staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is open and refreshing. Our experience was, "We will make this one of our Top of the list places to eat. Worth the visit!

Healthy Choice!

Fresh and good food, lots of choice with vegetables and some you hardly see on the menu like Sweet Potato and Quinoa. Nice en modern seat in- and outside, parking free infront. We will go back during our stay in Dallas. Loves the Quinoa burger with avocado!! Good choice If you like the healthy stuff.

By aaland2016 |

I love it when you find a place that you like because they serve healthy food but the people that work there think that because there restaurant is in a nice part of town they do not have to be freindly.

A great, healthy, tasty, fun dinner!

By Coupee |

When we told our US friends that we'd booked True Food Kitchen for dinner, they were surprised. They'd only been there for lunch before. We arrived and sat at the bar & drank cocktails and enjoyed the crudités plate (beautifully presented). We then moved to our table and were served by Eduardo. What a hoot, he's a real entertainer, but also a great customer experience provider. The food was all delicious, the cocktails divine and the atmosphere relaxed & fun. My only criticism was I don't like the opaque glass on the restroom doors, I don't like feeling people can watch me pee!!!

The best hummus ever!

By txglobetrotter2016 |

Went to True Food last night for dinner. This place is awesome! Great, fresh food at very reasonable prices. We started with the hummus. I have to say this is the best hummus I have ever tasted! The texture is lovely and the flavor is divine! It's dressed with kalamata olives, cucumber slices, red onion shavings, and feta. It's served with warm pita sliced. I highly recommend it!!! I had the turkey burger. It's really difficult to make a moist turkey burger but they have mastered it! The avocado is a nice touch as is the jalapeño aioli. My husband had the fish taco's and they tasted wonderful -- the fish was very fresh and cooked perfectly. One of our guests had the TLT. It was very savory. Our kale drinks were very fresh tasting with a little sweet to them. I suspect that was the apple coming through. This place is great! They really celebrate seasonal fresh tasting food. Highly recommend!!! One more thing....the patio looked awesome! We didn't sit there as it was 90+ degrees outside, but I bet it's lovely in the fall. We'll be back!!

You don't have to be a health food junkie

By JimiHendricks |

This is our second visit to a TFK - the other was in Scottsdale, AZ. Once again, food was great and the service was good. We split the Vegetable Crudité (an interesting selection of raw vegetables with dips), I had the Rice Bowl with chicken, and my wife had the Lunch Salmon. Prices are on the high side for lunch, and the portions are larger than I prefer for lunch. If prices are the same for dinner, it's reasonable.

Amazing food

By bravedexter |

this is a place you have to visit, specially if you are a food adventurer and are into fit stuff, and has lots of Windows, just loved it

Good Food for a diverse pallet

By cindy w |

food is good and somewhat healthy. The spaghetti squash casserole is amazing. Seating is very tight, you feel like you are dining with the table next to you. My daughter and I love true foods but my husband and boys do not like it at all. I don't recommend it for kids unless they have a very diverse pallet.

Decent Service, Good Food, Pricey for casual dining

By Nikki G |

Went to True Food Kitchen for first time last night. They have a great set-up with plenty of covered outdoor dining area. The service was decent. The food was good, although the sauce on everything was pretty heavy. A healthy restaurant sounded very appealing, but with the saturation of sauce, I imagine we got way more than a day's worth of sodium. I took half my dinner to go simply because I was concerned about all the sodium in the heavy sauce. My daughter loved the sparkling orange sencha tea and my friend's daughter loved her passion fruit limeade. The kale aid was very delicious. I saw that it was $5 which I thought was very reasonable - I buy fresh cold pressed juices at The Gem for about $10 each and since this seemed about half the amount of those with the ice, it seemed reasonable. I missed the part that it was an additional $4 for the kale aid. That said, my daughter and I had the Brussels sprout appetizer (ok, but heavily sauced making it taste pretty salty) 1 kale aid, 1 orange sencha tea - she had shrimp tacos (which looked really delicious) and I had the quinoa dish with salmon added (extra $9 which is reasonable even though it was a very small piece). The salmon was not overcooked and was very good. For 1 adult and 1 child the bill came to $70. I thought that was a bit pricey. When I got home I pulled up the menu and it appeared I had been overcharged (I'm admittedly not great with math), so I called the restaurant. They put the manager on and when he explained the additional $4 for the drink and $9 for the entree, I saw where I'd missed the math. I thanked him for explaining. He asked about my experience and I told him it was a good experience but did say that for a casual dining experience that is a bit pricey for 1 adult and 1 child (and having had zero alcohol). He explained that all of their food is organic (a big plus) and healthy (not so sure without seeing the sodium content). But then... he insulted me. He said that it is a different experience than dining at Chili's or Applebees (I had not one time mentioned Chili's or Applebees), insinuating that Chili's and Applebees are where my bar is set on price point and food quality. I was hesitant to leave this review until I read other reviews where people said the food was "pricey" "a little pricey for casual dining," etc. I'm not the only person in Dallas that finds $35 a person a little high for a quick casual meal with fake candlelight on the table. I doubt all who mentioned True Foods Kitchen being a little overpriced are looking at Chili's and Applebees as our price point gauge. I was genuinely inquiring about my bill, which can be a little uncomfortable in the first place as no one wants to seem "cheap" and he had to be condescending and insulting when I was only giving him my honest opinion. I'm giving two stars. My math skills suck but I can work with the number 5. Here is my equation: 5 stars: Thick salty sauce - 1 Rude condescending Manager - 2

Great food. Service not wonderful.

By Sandra H |

This is the second time I have been to this restaurant for lunch. The food is great. I love the chopped salad without cheese. My Sister loves the seasonal salad. Our friend liked the teriyaki bowl. This time we sat outside but I was disappointed that our server who never came back to refill tea or water. As a matter of fact, my friend had to ask if she could have the rest of my water. When it came time to pay, I had to give my check and card to another waiter to track my server down. Other than this one issue of poor service; I love the fresh, great food and atmosphere.

Delicious flavors with healthy flair

By glemay06 |

Wonderful dinner and service. We ordered our avocado key lime pie to go since we were so full. Everything health oriented with incredible flavor 💕 I became a member because I plan to try everything on their menu 😂

Vegan with flair and flavor

By MSLovell |

Visually stunning, welcoming service, great food. Flavorful beverages -cucumber ginger was quite intense - pomegranate drink refreshing. Appetizer was avocado kale and yummy. Entre - albacore salad good and inside out quinoa burger different and filling. We left very filled but not bloated. A bit pricier than we typically spend for lunch ($50 for 2) but we wanted to try the appetizer and drinks and glad we did.

Pleasant Suprise...Its actually good

By Scott Charles |

So my wife dragged me here for lunch, I had very low expectations. I was really surprised that the food was very tasty. They have good drinks (Healthy drinks) and recommend the Medicine Man and the Pomegranate Limeade. I usually get the Steak Tacos, which are very tasty. They are not huge, but with the sides will fill you up. Never had the desserts, but probably worth a shot. The service is fast and friendly and the environment is clean. They have good outdoor seating too!

Fresh Clean Eats

By TravelerSharon45 |

Dropped in while we were in Dallas. First time here. As I craned my neck to see what others were having I saw interesting healthy food. Members of our group ordered a margarita that had cucumber, lime and several other fun thing spices. A definite refreshing drink. If I lived there I would visit often.

Very nice for Brunch

By Joe B |

We recently dined at True Food Kitchen on a Sunday morning for brunch to enjoy their healthy selection of organic dishes. My wife selected the avocado toast with sunny side up eggs and I picked the quinoa pancakes. While neither of us is vegetarian these items appealed to us and we were not disappointed! The food was very good, the service was good and the environment is very attractive too. The only suggestion for improvement would be to cook the eggs slightly longer to make sure the whites are done and to come around more often with the coffee pot for refills. Oh, the Bloody Mary was excellent!

Great kale salad

By momlindsay |

I have eaten here probably 10x and the only thing I’ve had that I would order again is the kale salad, which is amazing!

By Rhonda G |

Despite several food allergies, there were several options to choose from on the menu, which doesn’t happen often, and none were salad with a squeeze of lemon. The red fish tacos were amazing. Hope your company comes to Seattle area.

Amazing food, menu, & service!

By Consuela711 |

Noticed this place for years across from Sprinkles and finally stopped by for lunch. I was not disappointed! Arrived about 12:30pm on a Tuesday and it was packed. Apparently reservations are strongly recommended but my group of 2 was fit in within 5min. Menu was a variety of healthy organic options which was most needed since I’ve stopped eating pork & beef. Turkey burger with kale salad was so good I cleaned my plate. Fantastic restaurant that I’ll be back ASAP!

Our family loved this restaurant! Healthy options...here from out of state for the weekend and it was the best food I had all weekend!!!! From the hummus to the honey lemonade with matcha to the ancient grain bowl with shrimp, it was absolutely delicious!!!! Kudos to the chef and LeeAnne , our waitress was great too!!! There is one in Atlanta!

By RicMar |

First time here and never heard of the place. My son and family frequent often for great meal and specialty drinks in Dallas. Very simple decor and the service is great. I had the Thai salad and Tortilla soup. Both were great and now that I see there is one in Atlanta will have to make the trek to Buckhead and check it out.

BEATRIZ (TOP-NOTCH SERVICE)

By Marissa G |

First timer here on Nov. 4 and we couldn't be more satisfied with our server Beatriz. She was the best! Beatriz was welcoming, attentive, friendly, and had an outgoing personality. She checked on us without being intrusive, made an excellent food recommendation (lasagna), ensured we had everything we needed, and refilled our drinks without having to ask. We could tell Beatriz genuinely cares about providing great service. We definitely will be coming back and request her section again!

Fabulous!

We found this restaurant within walking distance from the hotel where we were staying. My daughter is vegetarian and there were wonderful options for everyone. It has a great patio. Our waiter was very personable and we had a fabulous evening. I highly recommend it.

Fresh quality organic dining

Fresh Organic food, prepared fresh and excellent quality. Good menu to cater for many tastes, n]both from vegetarian to meat dishes.

First time try

By Chef p |

This is. Def a place of you like salads There portion s for them are reasonable for being seasonal as they change. Witch is good thing. There steak tocos is way over priced for 2 corn tocos. It’s got some heat /spicy and wasn’t said in the menu. Def not worth the price. For them. Wife’s polenta dish was good size and she sad it’s kinda spicy. Idk if we’ll be back or not

Not for family

By J10001 |

Bad food and bad service. The only thing worse than the food is the Serivce. The managers don't manage- they devote their time on dating the underaged hostess. Don't let your daughter work here.

Excellent food

By naneliz |

Creative, healthy and delicious food. Sunrise bowl was great. We all enjoyed what we ordered. A bit pricey. Decent staff.

Lost my vote to come to this exorbitant priced restaurant

By CraftBeers |

My last visit was in 2019. I wrote a review that I would not come back. The food is pretty good, but the pricing is way too much. I had the same sticker shock today. Four people totaled $200. That's fifty per person. Two of the dishes were pizza. The other two were quinoa bowls. I do like the food here, but it's not $200 good. If money is no object, then definitely put this on your list. It's healthy and tasty, but no way I come back unless I get outvoted again like today.

Healthy and tasty

By water baby g |

Dropped in one late evening and the dinner experience was wonderful. Ordered roasted carrots for an appetizer. Salmon for dinner and banana chia pudding for dessert. Enjoyed each delectable bite!

Always good

By Lscottie |

An Andrew Weil restaurant that has locations in many cities. Farm to table concept. Don't let the menu deter you. Between all the veggie and grain and healthy foods mentioned, there is something for everyone. Everything is delicious. The curry dish is superb. Wait staff good at helping you navigate the menu and they do have flatbread pizza which is a good standard.

Just like it says

Healthy-appearing dining options. Good service. Our meals were very good. Place was too loud for conversation on Tuesday night at 6:30?!

Excellent Healthy Food in the Heart of Dallas

By CynthiaCharleen |

Just last evening, I enjoyed the Ancient Grains Bowl with Chicken on the patio of True Food Kitchen. It was misting rain and the atmosphere was quiet and relaxed. I especially like the vegetable dishes and salads. They often have a little twist of tart or spicy to make them better than just ordinary. If you want a quiet meal on the patio or inside the restaurant, take a trip to True Food and enjoy drinks and food alike.

Terrible service!

By slh2012 |

Terrible customer service! Francie, an employee at this location, refused to provide service when I asked if they could please wrap the drinks since I didn't want spill in my car. Clearly, she has no skill and can't handle pressure. She was literally yelling at us saying she could not help us at that time because she doesn't know how to work during busy times. At the end, two other employees in the kitchen at two separate occasions helped me wrap the soup and drinks. She should not work there. She drives your new customers away! And the manager, she looked indifferent, simply didn't care. It all comes down to leadership or lack thereof. And the food, smelled greasy and charcoaled.

Better that I expected

By tangojohnDallas |

After looking online at their menu I was not very enthusiastic about coming here. This was someone else's choice but I did find the food very good but a little expensive. In all fairness this is located in Preston Center in the heart of the upper income areas of Dallas. Probably no more expensive than any other restaurant in the area, but more than my budget allows for frequent visits. This place will really appeal to anyone into health food and the use of whatever the current food ingredient craze is. Everyone's food was very well prepared and the service was very attentive. Wine prices per glass are very reasonable. My wife already wants to return.

Awesome concept!

I'm not sure which is better, the food quality or the quality of service. I'm in Dallas on business and this is my third visit since Sunday. I spoke with Chef Kevin and let me tell you, he and the staff are serious about their food! I ordered the Kale and Avocado Dip w/ GF Pita Bread (the best ever); and the Street Tacos-twice this week. Yeah, encore baby! The staff seems to know the menu and available options like the backs of their hands. Sunday night's hostess recommended the Street Tacos. And, every one of them seems genuinely warm and friendly; especially the bartenders. CVP, Tuesday night's bartender, is laid back and cool; while Shawn, Wednesday's mixologist, goes 100 km/h. He makes a mean Grapefruit Martini. Both are most excellent at their craft. I had the Market Fish on Wednesday: Red Snapper over some awesome veggies! The entree was cooked perfectly; fish seared just so and moist. Michelle, one of the managers, introduced herself in the warm, friendly manner consistent with the rest of the staff. And the atmosphere is electric! I think good food brings out the best in people... I travel quite a bit for work; mostly in Europe; where I find the food quality superior when compared to many of the franchises in the States (I'm not talking about fast-food restaurants). True Food Kitchen got it right! The food is prepared from fresh ingredients by people who seem to care and take pride in their craft; from the kitchen to the front of the house! If the other locations have it together like the Dallas store, you'll take the restaurant world by storm! I'm going back tonight for a "four-peat"...

Fresh and organic farm to table

Very simple yet exotic menu (simple foods with flair). Cocktails are ingenious, service is great and outdoor patio is very comfortable. Definitely makes you feel cleansed after a meal .... In a very good way

Comfortable fun place

Dallas beer and interesting wines. I enjoyed a nice glass of Sicilian wine. Boyfriend had Four Seasons Block Party. Very nice atmosphere. We had already had dinner but are thinking about next time. Love the fresh herbs in the entry.

Black Hair in Food

By Born2Travel57 |

When we arrived at True Food Kitchen we were promptly seated. We ordered our meals and when the Caramelized onion tart appetizer was delivered to the table it had a black hair that was baked into the tart. I asked to speak with the manager and showed him the black hair in the food. He told us he was sorry..... We then asked him to cancel our entrees and left. We never did taste the food but the long black hair in the appetizer turned us off.

Family favorite, outdoor seating available, dietary needs on menu

By ELK_2019 |

This place is a family favorite. They have seasonal menus with calorie counts (great for those counting calories) and food allergies are marked. My friend was able to find gluten-free options, I was able to find vegetarian options, and my husband enjoys their dishes with chicken/meat. The kids' cheese pizza is also delicious (cooked just right, fresh, crust is perfect, cheese is not greasy) for families with picky-eater kids. The best part for my family is the outdoor seating. We still have to observe Covid safety restrictions due to health conditions, and this restaurant has a large, covered outdoor seating area (with fans - makes outdoor dining comfortable in summer!). Would definitely recommend for locals or people visiting from out of town. Note: it can get crowded, so reservations are recommended. You can request either an indoor or an outdoor table.

NEVER EAT HERE WITH CHILDREN!

By Scott Charles |

NEVER EAT HERE WITH CHILDREN!!! We had the worst experience at this restaurant today, thanks to Jacqueline (the rude hostess). We came in with our 3 year and they had more than 5 open tables around the restaurant. She told us, we had to sit at the table next to the front entry and the exit door the patio. We asked if we could have one of the three open booth sitting in front of us, she told us they were all held for other customers (NO ONE WAS THERE BUT US) and that if we wanted one we would have to wait 30 more minutes. She even told us that the two tops could not be pushed together because "it was inconvenient for the wait staff". She turned around and walked off. When I walked over to her to push back on this, she literally put her hand up and told me she was busy. I've never been treated that rudely in any restaurant. She then marked us down as a no-show in Open Table.

Great spot with a wide assortment of healthy options!

Great spot with a wide range of all healthy options! I had the Ancient Grains bowl, and it was excellent. In fact, I have never had a bad meal here, it is always good. This location is also so convenient, restaurant is well maintained and has a good atmosphere. They also have an assortment of fun drinks. My favorite is not on the menu, but they have, if you ask- the Jasmine Green Tea with lemon and honey.
