Cute place

By Arlos L |

Cut place. It was located at the top of a building. Staff was super friendly, with some cute waiters. Apart that, good was great, but be ready to pay for it. Overall, great place to eat. Try the Bangkok Sky Margarita. Delicious.

A small Bite made a BIG Impression

By JazzFan23 |

We were invited to this restaurant for a business gathering and had samples of various items. The calamari was the best I've ever had. The chicken skewer with peanut sauce was excellent. We plan to visit for a date, for sure!

Delish!!!

By Loweful |

Mouth watering flavors in a magical environment. A definite "return-to" place!! So happy I found this hot spot!

Yummy thai

By kimtong21 |

Haven't been to this spot Since it used to be Taurus steak house and I've been meaning to try this spot. And I was not disappointed. Great balcony views tho, much too cold tonight to be outside for too long. Started w the thai fried chicken which had three different dipping sauces. All very tasty. The chicken was lightly battered and very crispy. Then we split the chicken panang curry which had a very warm kick at the end that was not unbearable, changing the rice from white to brown and the pad zee u w beef. Something about the beef flavor w the noodles, prob could have skipped the beef and went with a different protein. Tho the texture of the noodles was great. Overall the service was very attentive, the vibe was very nice. Great spot for thai food.

Authentic Thai

By george r |

Take elevator to second floor and enjoy intimate dining in lovely atmosphere. Good service and full bar. Make sure to designate how spicy for your entry. Plenty parking.

Great Atmosphere, Easy Parking, Good Service, Very Good Food.

By starter1 |

I've eaten here multiple times. Each time was a good experience. They have a balcony you can sit on in nice weather. All of the food my friends and I here has been very good. I like the Pad Thai, and the dressing that comes with the side-pre dinner salad is fantastic. The servers are very attentive. They can accommodate large groups.

A-MAZ-ING!!!

By Eveluv |

I took my parent's here for their anniversary and we all absolutely LOVED IT!! Our server, DA, was as awesome as the food! She told us about the menu and gave us details on all of the things we inquired about that we were interested in eating. For the appetizers we ordered the pork skewers and the steamed chicken & shrimp dumplings - DELICIOUS! We each ordered a soup and they were all delicious, although I enjoyed mine the most (the Tom Yum Koong). My dad and I ordered the fried fish - it was HUGE - and my mom ordered the noodles, everything was great and we ate until our hearts were content. You should also try the Thai tea - it has a bitter sweet flavor that is perfect over the crushed ice! I would definitely recommend this place for some A-MAZ-ING Thai food & beverages! Reservations are not a must but definitely a good idea if you're going on the weekend.

Thai while we celebrate Pi!

By AtlantaAlice |

We dined here on March 14--Pi day (mathematical constant 3.14). We were here because we had been to the theater and it was convenient close. The food was good, not outstanding but satisfied our hunger. The service was excellent. Probably would have enjoyed Thai food elsewhere if not for the convenience. However, the restaurant location on third floor overlooking Peachtree in Buckhead with our table by the window gave us a perfect view of fireworks celebration at 9:26 celebrating Pi Day. Kind of cool!

DOUBLE BILLING

By Ganesh D |

On 6th May I visited Tuk Tuk for dinner afterwards a bill was presented to me which I paid with tip for USD78.27 then I was advised that it is incorrect and again my account was debited with USD 85.60 and USD78.27 was to be reversed but my card stands debited twice I am yet to receive back my credit. I dont say its intentional but shows inefficiency of Tuk Tuk hope they will look into it

Quiet Venue, great food!

By Chris H |

Came for a business meal with two colleagues, food was excellent, great venue well decorated and would be ideal for that special occasion (provided you like Thai!)

Another Corporate Restaurant Bust

By Jon K |

I'm sorry to be a sorry puss but here we go again: big business which gave us Mcdonalds, Dennys and Ihop and also gives us Houstons, Outback Steakhouse, California Pizza Kitchen. Olive Garden now steps firmly, BLUDGEONEDLY into the "ethnic" market: P.F. Changs, Umami Burger, Chipotle and alas Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft. Nice menu but POOR food. Terrible service, Designed for the text and go crowd.

on the decline

By Paul K |

food quality has been deteriorating over the course of my past 3 visits. flavor of massaman has weakened, sauce has become thinner; pad thai is still decent but the portions have shrunk. service is very uneven and today's grumpy waiter has provoked me to provide this negative review. i wont be back...

Not horrible, but not great

By Zakiya |

Friendly waiter, but the food was very underwhelming. I expected much more flavor. The dishes didn't taste authentic and felt like they were watered down versions of what they should have been.

Great food, friendly service

By saharmon319 |

The pork basil on the lunch menu was excellent. Staff was very friendly from the host to the waiter and assistants. Easy to get there considering it is in a contested part of Atlanta.

Quick lunch

By Merle h |

Took our son for a quick lunch as we had an appointment nearby Told our waiter we had 45 minute and were served promptly My husband and I both ordered the chicken satay salad . Found it very flavorful Our son ordered Penang curry . It was very good but a bit spicy

Nice place to eat!

By lavoniac |

It was a nice experience. The ambiance was really nice and comfortable. We received excellent service and the wait time was minimal.

20% after tax auto gratuity

By BakeGingerbread |

The food was very good, but our bill for our party of FIVE had automatically charged us a 20% gratuity and it was calculated AFTER tax! Honestly. No where did I see that a party of five required a fixed gratuity. It was obvious after the fact why the service was substandard. The over-charged fixed gratuity really ruined our dining experience. Ask about the gratuity policy before you make a reservation.

Great place when in nearby Buckhead!

By Edward R |

We traveled to Buckhead for a concert last weekend and decided to visit Tuk Tuk based upon its online reviews. We loved everything! Try the beef skewers and the fried cheesecake with coconut ice cream (sinful). This place has a very pleasing modern/hip decor, it is not loud at all, parking was easy, and the service was friendly/attentive. Highly recommended!

What’s happened to Tuk Tuk.

By ptd496 |

What’s happened to Tuk Tuk. It was an all time favorite pre COVID and booked a table for early Fathers Day meal. Really…bad…call… Sticky table near the private dining and the busboy station so like sitting roadside. Appetizers were the highlight and arrived before the drinks. Food was lukewarm and not nicely seasoned. Service was fine. Probably my last trip. Don’t repeat my mistake. Go somewhere else. So sad but restaurants change

Love the curry taste

By Shefali P |

Better food than the other two like tamarind and nan. Same family owns it. I loved the curry taste with fresh veggies. Did not like the taste of the chicken at all. Had green curry with noodles and the other dish being chicken masaman. Also had papaya salad which was good. Will return to try other dish. Service was fast and friendly too.

Good food with an upscale experience

By SW-NewJersey |

Had dinner here with some friends in the Atlanta area. There is ample free parking in the adjacent lot. You access the restaurant via elevator. Food had very good flavors and dishes showed up quickly to the table, despite a busy Saturday night. We ordered a variety of appetizers and entrees and everything was quite authentic. The curry dishes were a little more spicy than we were use to. This location does serve alcoholic beverages. This is more of an upscale Thai restaurant experience, although everyone was very casually dressed. Tables moved quickly, but I recommend a reservation for weekends, as one party was turned away as the restaurant was basically booked for dinner. There is a Tuk Tuk in the lower elevator lobby if you are inclined to take a photo.

Friday night dinner

By Sarah C |

We were seated very quickly upon arrival (did have a reservation). The restaurant was not overly crowded, seats were available around the venue and at the bar. Atmosphere was upbeat and not too noisy so we could all hear each other speak and not shout. Our server Mani was well educated on the menu. We all ordered various cocktails...then shared appetizers. The calamari and dumplings were both very good. All of us ordered a different entrée and all were pleased with out selections. We didn't have room for dessert but the menu did look appealing. Don't forget to get your picture taken in the Tuk Tuk on your way out!

Great Lunch

By John R |

I took my daughter to lunch at Tuk Tuk last week. Upon walking in you get a good vibe. Quiet and interesting. We both had the lunch special. They serve it in 4 canisters stacked up that you take apart and eat from. Soup, two asian dishes and rice. Ends up being a lot of food. Great service.

Excellent Thai in Atlanta!

By Evelien L |

Absolutely delicious dishes and cocktails! We were here for a wedding rehearsal dinner with quite a big group, but service and food were both very much on point. I can't even remember all the dishes we had, but I couldn't fault any of them.

Ah, those delicious flavors ...........

By HCovik |

For those who enjoy delicious authentic Thai food at a decent price, this is THE place. Every dish we ordered (we were with 4 and we all agreed) was uniquely well flavored and displayed. Our favorites were the Tom Yum Koong (Spicy shrimp soup, absolutely delicious), Green and Panang curry and the Ba-Mee-Moo-Dang. All very flavorful. They will bring a variety of hot spices (i.e. sambal) for on the side. As a desert I'd recommend the fried banana with coconut ice-cream. As a drink the Black Mojito is excellent. Service is very courteous and attentive. The restaurant has a nice ambience and is located on the second-floor. The entrance is in the back. We sat inside because of the heat, but there's a beautiful sitting and eating area outside on the terrace. We'll definitely come back to try out some of the other dishes. It's the best Thai food we've had outside of Thailand.

Yummy!,Yummy!

By DisneyGeekMarietta |

My daughter and I went for dinnner. The ambiance was perfect. There were beaitiful pictures of Thailand being projected, fairy lights, and flowers. The food was delicious. Our server was very knowledgable. I had the green curry and my daughter had the fried rice. We were pleased. I am gluten and dairy free and had no problems eating here.

Great spot for Thai street food in ATL

By Magendran |

Arrived here late on a weekday, not expecting anything really. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, esp sticky chicken wings, panang curry, green curry, calamari, chicken rice. My wife had a lychee martini which was fantastic. They sure pay attention to detail. Best of all, we got to sit outside with a beautiful view of midtown Atlanta. Parking is plenty, brightly lit, and so easy. Will be back.

Prof Lescota

By Joe L |

Great service. Thank you Alan. Very nice atmosphere with view of Atlanta skyline. Great for special occasions and the staff is very accommodating. Wear jeans and a pull over shirt or dress up a little. Both are appropriate. Vegan choices on the menu. Thoroughly enjoyed sharing the pre meal small plates. The steak special was delicious. Cocktails are available. I would definitely go back.

Great food and atmosphere

By Richard B |

We stopped here for dinner before a Cirque du Soleil performance of Kurios and it set the mood perfectly. The restaurant was open and spacious, the staff was friendly, and the food was delicious. We started with the Pla Muk Tod (crispy calamari with Thai chili lime sauce) and it came out hot, light, and crispy. My wife enjoyed her Kao Moo Dang (BBQ pork and Thai sausage with jasmine rice, egg, and black soy sauce), while I feasted on the Pad Thai Woon Sen with shrimp. We're both looking forward to coming back and trying a sampling of some of their other Small Plate selections.

Good food

By wdwatl |

Tuk Tuk is about as authentic as any US Thai restaurant can be. Meaning it's not as spicy as you would get in Thailand, but that's ok. You can still get dishes that will make your American ears tingle. Or not. It's a diverse menu with lots of vegetables curries and noodles as well as fresh fish. Some dishes suit me better than others but it's hard to find a bad one. The only rub cab be the service. Most of the time you have charming Thai women but on my last visit I guess someone didn't show up and the poor bartender was looking after a group of tables he really couldn't see while trying to keep up with the drinks and that didn't go well for either of us. It was a Sunday night so I may avoid that timing but I'll definitely be back.

One of Best Meals in My Life

By Sean D |

Four of us shared six $7 to $9 small plates and it was one of the most flavorful and enjoyable dining experiences in my 60 years of life -- and I have eaten at a lot of places. The sauces were pungent, the meats tender, and the whole meal presented wonderfully. The setting itself is a very open, and unique, kind of modern Asian. Service is informal but professional enough to suit the setting. The prices, given the gourmet-ish food, were very fair. Don't skip the dessert -- coconut icecream on the pan-fried banana. It doesn't get any better!

Delicious and aromatic

By PuraVidaRose |

The food was quick. The service was friendly. And the taste was fantastic. The portions were pretty large too.

Fun atmosphere, lovely food presentations and great service.

By rmiller1674 |

Four of us met at Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft for lunch to celebrate a friend's birthday. This was my first visit, and I was apprehensive about finding gluten free menu choices. Happily, they have a special GF menu, plus there are many other good options on their regular lunch menu. The food presentations were beautiful, and everything was delicious. The server even brought a lovely birthday dessert on a beautifully-decorated plate! Excellent dining experience--it's worth the drive in Atlanta traffic!

Tuk Tuk was great

By jwtadlock |

While visiting Atlanta a friend suggested Tuk Tuk. The pot stickers were excellent with just a bit of heat. My chicken curry dish had the perfect coconut and curry blend. Sometimes curries can be too sweet. This one was not. Service was friendly and prompt. I’ll definitely eat there again when I’m Atlanta.

Good Food, Service was the problem

By divineeats |

I came in for a late lunch, because I was in the neighborhood. I was seated promptly but took a few minutes for my server to great me and offer water. It was very crowded, so I placed my entire order, drink, app, entree and a to go order all at once. The food came, I finished my drink, app, entree and once my server flew by quickly and I didn't see her for quite awhile. I finished my food and set for 15 minutes with empty, dirty plates and glassware in front of me with my napkin placed over it, to indicate I was finished. I was seated across from the bar and watched to servers chat during the whole time I sat, unable to get their attention to get assistance. (my check and to go order). I set there so long that a gentlemen came in, set at the bar, order food and drink and still manage to get his check as I continued to wait for mine. My server showed up finally and said I will be right back with you to go order. That took another 10 minutes. At one point I was able to get the chatty servers attention to ask to get my server with the check but she still did not come out. The food was good, I will go back, but I will make sure not to get that same server.

What a spot

By kennyb1982 |

First off, I love the A. Everytime I come here I find the most amazing places. I have to say though, I have a secret. I work in a call center and talk to people all the time, so when Im ready to go on vacation, I ask locals their favorites. This is one. The food and presentation are A++++. Way to go, we shared a bunch of food and all of it was freekin amazing.

Tuk Tuk is worth tucking into!

By Michael H |

Tuk tuk is tucked away on the 3 rd floor of a building in lower Buckhead. The service was excellent. The menu was not expansive but adequate. I had the special salmon n shrimp w broccoli n veggies. 4 large shrimp I believe on skewers. I prefer my shrimp be de-tailed, and these were not. Large portion of salmon. Large group of us. We started with satay / peanut sauce, skewers of chicken, samosa. All delicious. The portions were generous. Massive parking lot with easy access. Bourbon was expensive.

Great food and atmosphere

By Brianna00000008 |

We were seated quickly (had a reservation, but they seated us early), and the atmosphere was quiet and intimate. Very good Thai food, drinks, and desserts, and the server was very attentive. A bit expensive, but worth the price.

Wonderful dining experience

By Traveling Coach |

I recently met a colleague for lunch and he suggested Tuk Tuk. I am so glad he did. I have driven past this restaurant located in the Brookwood Station area of downtown Atlanta. It is a bit hidden from Peachtree Street view but once you find it (free parking) and ride the elevator from the ground floor to the third floor (good views) you are traditionally greeted by very gracious and hospitable staff. The dining room, which has a full bar and floor to ceiling windows, is large with high ceilings and a loft-type feeling. While it is a bit noisy during peak hours we found a table in the corner so we could talk business, which we did for almost two hours. The gracious staff led by our waiter, Ernest, did a great job and could not have been more hospitable even though we were seated for so long. We always had full water or tea glasses and every one of the waitstaff was polite and efficient. We both started with the chicken coconut soup (traditional Thai style) and it was delicious. Curiously we both ordered the same entree, a minced pork spiced hot with beans (Kra Pow Moo) and it was outstanding. It is served with jasmine rice and they also provided several Thai spices to sample. I asked for pork to be an 8 on the 0 to 10 "hot scale" and it was spicy but just right for my taste. We finished our marathon lunch and discussion with green tea. We were never hassled even as the lunch crowd slowly disappeared and we were the last two patrons in the restaurant. Ernest was patient, polite and available when needed but never intrusive. Great food, lovely ambiance and well-trained wait staff. Kudos to Tuk Tuk. Great and authentic Thai establishment. I can't wait to eat here again and highly recommend it.

Authentic and Delicous

By Lori D |

Tuk-tuk is the kind of restaurant that provides a beautiful ambience for both friends night out and business lunches. After visiting Thailand, I continued to look for a restaurant that had authentic cuisine. Tuk Tuk food and spices bring me back to Thailand. I've tried many of their dishes and have not been disappointed including the chicken penang curry and pad thai. A bit pricey, but overall great food and good service.

very good food in Buckhead

By CabKings |

take elevator up to dining room of this very good Thai restaurant. Stand have a drink at the bar with ATL skyline in backdrop. wide open dining room allows for a comfortable feel and the food is delicious. Full bar, nice wine list and plenty of beers offered. Worth your time and money. great for solo, couple, group and business meals.

Friend took us here...I'll go back again!

By Dr-Ing-Dchen |

I had Thai salad and Ba-me Moo Dang Bangkok noodles. Beef was okay but rest of dish, very tasty, fresh, and a hint of spicy. The salad was fantastic;fresh, interesting, with, I'm guessing, fried tofu slices. Had plenty to eat. Staff was helpful and attentive. My friends had one of the Curries and said they were good. This is on my list for return visits to Atlanta!

Yumm!!

By Laura R |

Highly recommend the lunch boxes! We were on a tight time schedule and the service was quick and efficient so we weren't late to our next appointment. Very good food at a reasonable price.

Lunch

This is a very laid back restaurant. I like the food and the service they provide is bar none. Nice for a couple for the ambience and nice for a birthday as well. Really good selection anytime.

What a Pleasure!

Was absolutely delicious! Well worth the visit! Loved the Kal Yang! And our server (can’t remember his name)was very attentive and helpful.

Visited Atlanta last weekend. Had a great dinner at Tuk Tuk. Emily did a great job waiting on us. We followed her suggestions and they were great. Will definitely return

Continues to be the best Thai food expeirence in Atlanta

By RicMar |

This last time branched out from getting just all small plates and got Salmon Panang (Grilled filet of wild caught Scottish salmon in a panang curry sauce, with fried eggplant and green beans over jasmine rice). Amazing the best Salmon dish ever and the panang curry was perfect.

Excellent Lunch!

By acprospect |

Visiting my son at SCAD- this restaurant is walking distance from the school so we tried it. Loved the lunch box specials, atmosphere, and service. Will definitely be back! If u like Thai food this is a fantastic spot.

Amazing view and delicious food

By Destini C |

I fell in love with Tuk Tuk and will most certainly be coming back. You go up the elevator and when you walk out there's a wonderful view of the city skyline. The bar faces this view, along with there being two good sized patios to take it all in. The restaurant inside is gorgeous, staff is friendly, food came out quick and was very good. You could say it was a great experience :)

Great food

By Nartableware |

Definitely try the green curry And deep fried tufu small dish. Most of the clients are local folks which always says lots for a restaurant The street noodles were very good, some pretty good local beer on tap too

Best Overall Thai So Far

By Tad L |

My wife and I have been largely disappointed with the Atlanta-area Thai restaurants that we've tried to date, so we were very pleasantly surprised with Tuk Tuk. The atmosphere was nice (upscale casual-ish, but not pretentious), service excellent, food very good, and value also pretty good. Tuk Tuk offers a very good variety of apps/small plates, and the three we tried (fried tofu, shrimp toast, chicken satay) were all delicious, generous portions, and inexpensive. The Tom Kha Gai soup was also delicious. Can't wait to go back and try the Tom Yun Gung. My only complaint is with the Masaman shrimp curry we had. The curry was actually very good, but there just wasn't much of it. The dish was basically a huge mountain of rice with a little bit of curry over it. The ratio of rice to curry was completely out of whack, and there was really no way to get at the curry because it was already sopped up by the rice. We will definitely be going back to Tuk Tuk, but will probably skip the curries and just order a few more of the small plates instead. I still give Tuk Tuk 4 stars though, because everything else was great.

I want to go back now!

By T Genese |

My friend and I were hungry after attending the symphony one Friday night, so I pulled up my OpenTable app and we picked this place because of the great reviews and proximity to where we were. I am so glad we did! Food and service were both excellent. It is definitely more pricey than the Thai places you would find in other parts of town, but you are paying for the neighborhood and the ambiance. However, it's not the neighborhood and ambiance that I would go back for - it's the food! We are both planning to go back at some point for the Monday fried chicken night.

MSG Feast

By iamhu |

I called the restaurant twice within a span of a couple of weeks and spoke to 2 different people regarding whether or not they use MSG. I was told by both people that they didn't know. One of the people I spoke with said other people had asked that question but she told me she didn't even know what MSG was! I asked to speak to chef/owner and was told on both occasions that they were not available. I sent an email through their website regarding whether or not they use MSG and never got a reply. Finally just went there and thought I could order food without MSG. I requested no MSG, but It did not happen. The food was full of it when it arrived. It had that sickly salty taste and caused an MSG reaction just from a small bite. Unless you want an MSG feast, I would strongly suggest not to go there.

Excellent Thai for lunch

By Trion |

Had a business lunch last week at Tuk Tuk. The food was excellent as was the service. The restaurant was nicely decorated and clean. I would recommend to anyone looking for better than average Thai food in Atlanta.

Above Average

By chefluee |

But on the expensive side. We ordered the Green Curry Chicken and the Kao Pad Goong Chiang. The Kao Pad Goong Chiang was truly outstanding. Some of the best we have ever had. Most places do not give you enough sauce but Tuk Tuk does it right with the sauce. It was on the spicy side but that was ok. The Green Curry Chicken was very good just a tad bit heavy on the fish sauce. It was great until it cooled down a bit. And yes...it was very spicy. We will return and order the Kao Pad Goon again but change to one of the other curries. Presentation of food is always a highlight. Really love the curry being served in a bowl with all of that sauce. Highly recommend this hip spot for Thai. Service is always great.

Great food....Fantastic View

By the curated living |

Tuk Tuk’s location along with the food, customer service and ambience makes this one of my favorites in Atlanta. For food: Try the drumsticks they’re delicious. Their basil fried rice is so well seasoned. For drinks: Try the pink lady! It’s yummy! The staff is always pleasant and very friendly. The bathrooms are always clean and the two way doors are a perfect touch for the restrooms. Sit at the bar or on the patio and enjoy the view of Atlanta from this 2nd floor restaurant.

Great View , good atmosphere

By Dwight D |

My wife and I picked this restaurant from the reviews that we saw so we decided to give it a try. We requested the balcony through OpenTable and Amy did her best to accommodate us since it's first come first serve. Restaurant was hip and trendy with entry from an elevator. For an appetizer my wife had the shrimp on a stick and I had the coconut soup both were very tasty. For the entree I had the vermicelli noodles along with a vegetable fried rice. My wife had the Asian white fish with the three flavor sauce. The rice could have used more seasoning and a better presentation I was expecting pineapple and possibly some radish for color. Overall the food was well-cooked and our server did a great job. The experience was fantastic. I was expecting larger portions but this is the Buckhead area so expect moderate portions. Always trust my reviews.

Fun! Great service!

By PalmSpringsCA |

This was a fun experience. Really great ambiance and decor (trendy) and super friendly service. I wish I remember our waitress's name. She was 20 years old and that is all I can remember. Super friendly and helpful and she dealt with our "in-rare-form" group that night! Food is more like a 3.5 with a salad having a strange tasting dressing that it seemed the veggies were steeped into for hours upon hours. They were not fresh and crunchy. Soups were decent but nothing amazing. The panang curry was quite good though with the green beans being perfectly crunchy!! Other dishes were solid as well. This seems like a spot to come not only for the food but for the ambiance and you definitely pay for it! Prices aren't outrageous but are clearly higher than the typical middle-of-the-road looking Thai place. I might come back if in town but would want to try other choices as well.

Consistent in taste and service

By Romex-Romex |

Great food, as authentic as I can tell, with very friendly staff. Inside it can be a bit noisy but outside is great. One of the patios has gorgeous views of the Midtown’s high-rises. We go there as a couple, with friends, with co-workers. The food is good and very consistent in quality and taste. They keep the standards very high and it shows. Better to make a reservation than walking in (they take Open Table as of Oct 2017).

Take the TUK TUK!

By GuyTraveler324 |

Loved this place! Snappy, energetic. Excellent food. Good prices. Sharp interior and reminded me of being in Bangkok!

Nice decor, average food

By Andrew J |

The decor was nice, service was awesome, the crowd was a mix of chill and snooty (mainly snooty). The food was good but not any better than a Top Spice, Thai 5 or Tin Drum. If your in the area and craving Thai check it out, but its not worth a special trip.

Better than expected

By Jame C |

Prior reviews had us apprehensive that the flavorful cuisine would be poorly served. That was not our experience. Gus seated us and was our server and preformed each part of the process efficiently and made very good menu suggestions. We enjoyed both the Salmon Panang (only wishing for more of the fried eggplant) and the Asian whitefish served with a three flavor sauce. The price point is good for the quality of the food and despite the somewhat worn décor we will be back.

My friends enjoyed their food

By O2795HJbrianb |

My friends got the snapper special. It was good. I just got fried rice because I wasn't hungry. The waiter was amazing (Jon I think) my cup never ran empty. He was very attentive. I'm just not a big fan of thai food. But it looked amazing. Very nice ambiance.

Wonderful restaurant with ample parking space in midtown

By Ankush L |

Meal - ordered 2 appetizers, one entree and drink - Everything turned out good. Would love to visit again Atmosphere - visited saturday evening. Initially, there were a lot of empty seats but as the time passed, all the seats were filled and i saw people waiting outside while coming out. Experience - Good

Not much taste, almost tasteless, small serving. Panang chicken.. Definitely not worth $9. Nice views of ATL skyline.

amazing

By Carolyn Hodge-Armstrong |

went there last saturday with adult grand daughter ( her suggestion) for a quick girls out and catch up. i had read reviews and was excited about going. I had read abiout how great the spareibs were on the same bite, they were amazing, fall off the bone and seasoned sooo well. i also had the thai fish. it came with awonderful red sauce that was great over the fish and the rice it was served with. My grand daughter had the dumplings on the small bite, to me it ok and forher entree she had a red curry that to me was rarher salty, but she said it was not to her. I can not wait to go back, i will definately get the ribs and will try another entree. If you like different spices and preps you cant go wrong. they also have a balcony but it rather chilly and windy.

Worst Pad Thai Ever

By Robert K |

We go to Nan every time we visit ATL and since their daughter runs Tuk Tuk how could it miss so badly! Nice space and friendly staff but the Pad Thai was a gelatinous mass of tasteless goo. Maybe some other dishes are better but we will not be eating there again!

Very good!

By amy92201 |

We came for lunch and it was very good. Make sure you try their appetizers; you could make a meal out of those alone but they are great to share. The pork skewers were tender and flavorful, as was the calamari and the samosas. The entrees were also great; the masaman curry in particular was very good. Would come here again!

Thai Tapas?

By ggsandma |

The space was attractive and the service was good, but my Shrimp Pad Thai portion was very small, overpriced, and tasted mediocre at best. Shrimp Pad Thai = 2 cups noodles, 4 medium shrimp, and a tablespoon of soapy-tasting crushed peanuts. This for $14, plus tax and tip. I left hungry because I didn't order appetizers, etc., which, I guess, is the way to fill up at this restaurant. I won't be back.

Authentic but just Okay

By jingjing2x |

We dined for lunch and was seated immediately. The restaurant had high ceiling, open and airy. We ordered pad thai and the lunch box which included ginger chicken, green curry beef, and soup. The food was good except for pad thai the flavor was off. We also ordered fried tofu and samosa. The fried tofu had no flavor and the sauce that came with it was just okay. However, the samosa was delicious. For desert we ordered sweet rice with mango and fried plantains with coconut ice cream both were awesome. Our waiter was really fast and efficient, and had made recommendations on which food to order. I will definitely dine here again.

Best Thai Food I've Had

By sterp76 |

Had a wonderful first experience at Tuk Tuk! Had their "Thai-inspired" Kra Pow cocktail (with Gin, cucumber, ginger, basil, and ginger ale). It was lovely - crips, botanical and not too sweet. My group samples several apps - Don't miss the Roti - the green curry sauce they sever it with is phenomenal. I was sorely tempted to order the green curry dish as a result, but decided to branch out and tried their Panang Curry, which also not disappoint. Never in my life have I cleaned my plate at a Thai place, but even thought the portion was generous, I could not stop eating until it was gone. We sat inside, but would love to come back and try one of their outdoor tables on the balcony on a nice day.

Business lunch

By Stephanie4971 |

My office is directly across the street from this restaurant, and I have been here many times. It can be busy here! Very spacious, though. Great Pad Thai, but they always have a wonderful lunch special served in a traditional lunch tin featuring soup, rice a curry and another dish. Dishes range from mild to HOT, but your choice. Good service and great jasmine tea. Trends toward biz casual dress during the week. I haven't been here on a weekend.

Excellent Thai food

Food was delicious, flavorful and value for money. We ordered the massaman curry, chicken satai, tender steak, ribs, calamari, samosa, and chicken panang.

Going the extra mile for customers

By Asherikamom |

My party of about 10 people had a delicious dinner and a wonderful time at Tuk Tuk. The service was attentive and efficient, delivering all our orders at about the same time and fulfilling every special request. The next morning when I discovered my credit card was missing and called to see if I had left it there, the staff person I spoke to not only confirmed that they had kept it safe, but agreed to go to the post office and send it back to me in Maryland. It came to my home, as promised, wrapped in paper so it wouldn't be obvious. When a restaurant goes the extra mile like this, I think it should be rewarded. I encourage everyone in Atlanta who wants a great dinner, with a fun atmosphere and attentive servers, and staff who actually goes out of its way for a customer they may never see again to head over to Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft!!

Excellent Thai food -:)

By soooma |

Loved the bread Ambiance is so classy Patio view of Atlanta Skyline is beautiful but be prepared for mosquitoes -:) as we were wearing shorts -:( Excellent service We sat inside after mosquitoes LOL and loved ambiance even more Sticky rice is just OK Panang is highly recommended (You'll like it even if you're alien from Mars -:) No knives -:)!! OVERRATED ANYWAY LOL I liked the Roasted chicken Kyang something but didn't love it. Satay chicken is good but ordered skewers for kids it I ended up eating them as they didn't care for them !! Good

Amazing Panang!

By coachbunch |

This was possibly the best Panang Chicken I have ever had in my life! I try this dish everywhere because it is my favorite. I also love Thai food so it makes no sense that I have not been here yet since it is right across the street from my church... that nonsense ended today. The service was attentive and the food came quickly. So quickly in fact, I was suspicious. Not to worry - the flavors were wonderfully intense. I would say the spicy level was above average and may be hotter than you are expecting if you don’t really like spicy. I thought it was perfect. The decor is like a Thai bistro and feels upscale but the dress is nice casual. Not stuffy at all. Very relaxed atmosphere full of courtesy and hospitality. What a great experience!! Can’t wait to go back, take the family and friends and try something else now :-) Would easily work for business clients as well.

Great choice for Thai in Buckhead/Midtown

By CobaltConnection |

Friendly service, great music. Very good Thai food. Having a great location with patio overlooking Peachtree Street doesn't hurt either. Had business lunch here and my clients were very impressed with the prompt, friendly service. The appetizers were great and our meals served piping hot and delicious.

Delicious!

By D K |

Inventive Thai without neglecting the classics. Had a wonderful dinner here with just-right drinks. Would definitely go again next time I am in Atlanta. Easily accessible via MARTA as well- hand for business travelers.

A Thai Jewel in Atlanta

By MrGil S |

After a day of shopping and tootling around the area, we had a craving for some Thai food. What a gem to find Tuk Tuk. This is one of the best Thai restaurants we’ve experienced in this city. Bell was our server; she was precious and very eager to ensure we were happy with our meal. She made our dining experience such a pleasure. We just loved her!! The Salmon & Shrimp over Basil Rice special was over the top delicious!! We will visit Tuk Tuk every time we come to Atlanta.

Excellent from a Non-foodie

By Deb C |

I went to the new sister specialty restaurant they started called Nan. It was great food and ambiance. The staff was very professional. I will go back.

Great selection of Thai food. Delicsious

By fishinwater |

The menu was great with lots of selections to choose from. The venue was open and a little stark/plain but the food made up for the simple setting. Was good to test some. Authentic and well made Thai food

One of my Thai favorites in ATL!!!!!

By ATLchick4life |

I love the Niyomkul family and all the restaurants they have here in Atlanta...this one owned by DeeDee the daughter is terrific!!! I love the dumplings and soup as well as the fried red snapper! The view is beautiful and the staff is very cheerful and professional! Be sure to check out their other restaurants Nan (Midtown) and newly opened Chai Yo (Buckhead)!!! This line of restaurants are in a class of their own

Definitely an experience

By Michael L |

A friend had come into town and was staying nearby, so I decided we should try this place. The food was better than average. My friend had a street noodle dish and I had the Monday special, a fried chicken. It was a little pricey, but it was good. I'd go back again, if only to try the street noodle dish.

Excellent Thai Food

By Tyler H |

A group of 6 of us enjoyed a great meal here. Cool space and very friendly staff. I could have done without the playoff football projected on the wall but once the game was over it was fine. I had the green curry which was listed as the spiciest. I love heat and this could have used a little more. I would also recommend the mussel omelette. It is an interesting dish that I have never seen before but would order again!

Poetry on a plate

By Supertravelerjb2013 |

We had a great experience with our meal. Very pleased with a level of spiciness- we like it very very hot. You could taste every single ingredient without being overwhelmed with just one spice. Loved the presentation of the dishes as well as the cocktails we ordered. Great music. Would definitely recommend for those who look for a distinguished spicy food. Only one issue----the hours are a bit odd, so make sure they are open when you go. Aside from that----fantastic.

Solid Thai Food

By Mr G |

First time there. Has a nice rather "posh" setting. Sort of a NYC feel. Good spacing between tables and very good service. Three of us shared chicken skewers and grilled pork skewers as appetizers. Chicken good, the pork very good. Main courses were grilled marinated half chicken - really good. Two curries. I wish I could remember the names. Both good also, but the grilled chicken was best. One curry was very heavy in lime leaves. Worth a return visit.

The only thing good about this place is the ambiance.

By ljrapp16 |

Went for a holiday party and was very excited to go. The food is very average and the portions are very very small and very expensive for what is put in front of you. We ordered a lot of food and left hungry. Now the service was terrible. We were ignored. I had to ask for the waitress many times for her not to show up. Had there been any service at all the bill would have been twice as large as it was. I will not be back. I do not recommend you try.

Decent

By SMR_ATL |

Went there seeing all the wonderful reviews. While a couple of dishes were decent to good , I was disappointed by the sweetening of the entrees we chose.

Delicious Thailandese food

By douglasagarcia |

Love the location. Good attention and the food was really good, the restaurant is located in the top of the building. But the entrance have a small tuk tuk on it. En general I was well impress.

DInner Plans

By Estefania G |

The ambiance is very nice looking. They have two tv's at the bar and two projection screens at the back of the building. The server we had (May) was great, the food was delicious, the alcoholic drinks were good. I had the chicken Pad Zee U and Mango Mal Tal and he had the Massaman curry and black mojito. We both enjoyed everything and will be back again I just wish they had better dessert choices. I didn't see any that I really wanted to get.

Yummy Asian Fusion with Authenticity!

By JCSBimp |

The fun, varied menu at Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft goes well with their decor. What impressed me was the authenticity that came across from the wait staff as well as the designers of the space. I had no doubt I was having a Thai Food experience, while still enjoying some of that "Asian Fusion" feel with tasty, inventive entrees, small plates, and desserts. My wife and I were quite pleased. As an added bonus, it's within easy walking distance of Amtrak and nearby hotels.

Well deserved Top Thai Rating

By YoungOpa |

Weather permitting, we always like to sit outdoors. Here it is especially nice because you are on the third floor, so there is no annoying traffic or foot traffic when you dine. Food was tasty and service was attentive.

A nice restaurant, but beware of the elevators...

By Jim W. |

We had tried to visit here once before a month or so ago, but at the time they happened to be closed for a renovations for a couple of weeks. We were in the area again and needed to escape nightmarish evening rush hour traffic, so we stopped by for dinner. You enter the restaurant at ground level into the open atrium / elevator lobby. You can hear the restaurant 3 floors up. The elevator seemed a bit slow in getting to the top (more on that later) but was one of the most brightly lit elevators I've ever been in. We were greeted and seated promptly. The vibe is definitely more classy / trendy than most standard Thai places. There appeared to be plenty of seating as well as some outdoor / balcony tables, weather permitting. We were seated at the far wall, where they project images of Thailand and Atlanta in lieu of physical decorations. Our waiter was good. He gave us time to check the menu and answered all questions. We got noodle / curry dishes as well as a satay appetizer. Overall, the portion-size was a bit smaller than the average suburban Thai place; that may either be good or bad depending on whether you want leftovers (or have a big appetite). The quality of the food was good; 2 of 3 in our party finished their entrees. The restaurant also had a full bar with a fairly extensive wine list. Based on the experience so far, I'd have given a 4 out of 5 rating. However, when we tried to exit, the elevators didn't show up. We kept pressing the button and watched as it turned off again. The staff offered that the elevators were 'just slow.' We then heard people calling from down at the bottom of the atrium - they were trying to get in but the elevator was not showing up at there either. We and another couple decided to find the stairs, but they were an emergency exit with an alarm. We then asked the manager, who asked us to wait while he got the key (presumably that disables the alarm). Just before he returned, we started to hear banging and voices on the other side of the door - the people from the atrium had given up too and had found the stairs! The door was opened and everyone was able to exit or enter. I'm not sure what went on for the remainder of the night if both elevators were stuck somewhere... I'm deducting a point for the exit, though it was at least unusual. Worth checking out.

Left bad after taste for hours

There is no way done one from Thailand is cooking this food. It tastes horrible and does not taste like Thai food at all. It should be called toilet water

Working lunch

By travelingcircus38 |

Working lunch. Quick and friendly waitress. Lunch box featured a delicious soup, a curry dish and a chicken dish. All were delicious! Wonderfully flavorful and quickly served. Can't wait to return!

Best Thai food!

By Kathleen R |

This might be the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The service was wonderful, the black mojito is amazing, the dessert with the fried bananas and coconut ice cream is WONDERFUL, absolutely no complaints.

Glad it was not my first Thai food experience

By profmom_12 |

I have eaten Thai food 30 years and I’ve eaten it in many different states. I got Tuk Turk’s Thai bbq food with egg noodles and crushed peanuts.. It sounded good, but it was very disappointing. If this had been my first experience eating Thai food I would not want to try other dishes. The pork was the texture of grisly but undercooked bacon. The noodles were like ramen noodles that had been soaked in vinegar. Vinegar was the main flavor. Maybe l other dishes there are good, but I would pass on option to go back.

The Food was perfect

By kipthekenyan |

I could rave on and on all about this place, the ambience was splendid, the food was perfect, the staff was so polite and unobtrusive, easy to find, etc. I would take my date here in a heartbeat, and visiting with my family was fabulous! This place is great!

Thai in a modern space

By mtsyman |

Tuk Tuk is in an interesting space facing downtown Atlanta. The food I am sorry to say is just average. They do have a nice balcony and bar and the place may be better suited for lunch or cocktails but I found for dinner it was simply average

I want more!

By D Morgan |

My first experience at this restaurant and it was great. Everything we tried was delicious. The ribs, shrimp, roti, basil fried rice and Asian fish. The Thai ice tea was so good. Great service. Will be going back soon.

Excellent Food, Gracious Service

By Rusty W |

A "must do" for downtown Atlanta visitors. Abundant, tasty Thai choices at affordable prices in a pleasant loft setting offering expansive views of Atlanta skyline. Service was very friendly and helpful. Indoor and outdoor patio seating available.

Not as Exciting as a Ride in Tuk Tuk

By LuckySpivey |

But from the amount of spice used in my basil stir fry, the effect on my stomach was similar. I enjoy spicy, but this was over powering. My husband’s dish was more palatable, but nothing special. Wait staff was friendly. Service was quick.

Delicious and well decorated establishment!

By Chaun D |

From the time we stepped off the elevator into the loft we were greeted and seated and the food was excellent!

Good... But.. .. There are other Thai Restaurants

By Flyeguy |

Have been here about three times and the experience is consistent.. But not outstanding... Food service tends to be slow. Some Entrees we ordered, lacked a lot of thought and execution in preparation. Bar is nice and bartender was amazing. View of city was nice and good weather would make good outside dining..there are many good Thai restaurants in Atlanta that I would consider.

Excellent Thai food

By RNHicks |

My family and I were in town for a graduation. We ordered Nuah Ping, Neau Sawan, and Pad Zee U. Everything was delicious. The Nuah Ping was room temperature. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be served like that but it was tender and tasty. It was an hour before close and service was prompt. The server was friendly and explained the menu and gave great suggestions! Great first impression. Will return.

Great Food, Great Service... Just Really Great!

By Steve B |

Birthday dinner for a dear friend with his husband and mine. Seated immediately, service was wonderful (thank you, View!) the calamari and beef skewers we had as shared appetizers were heavenly, my Thai BBQ was awesome (spectacular broth... had to snarf some of my husband's rice to finish it up!) Highly recommended!

Elegant upscale Thai food with awesome outside terrace on 3rd floor

By ladolcevitaAtlanta |

I loved this place! Elegant, upscale, clean and very hip. Located on Peachtree Street, and close to 17th street, you enter from the back parking lot side and take the elevator up to the 3rd floor. Parking is free, which is a plus. The interior decor is beautiful. We went for lunch and opted to sit outside on the wrap-around covered balcony. The outdoor seating at night would be awesome, and it's probably a jumping, be-seen place. The lunch menu on line appeared limited and I was surprised at receiving a full menu with lots of options upon our arrival. Small plates to share are the way to go. We ordered chicken satay, steamed pork pot stickers appetizers and split the beef entree with cellophane noodles. Everything was very good. Be aware of the hot sauces. I loved the food and the vibe of this place and will definitely be back. I would have given 5 stars, but I think the server could have been a little more attentive.

Always pleased with the food and service.

By Gumbo Eats |

Our most recent visit to Tuk Tuk was for Christmas dinner this year. As always we were well taken care of. Our food was spot on and delicious with excellent service. I like to stick with traditional dishes when I eat Thai and was very happy with the Green Curry. It was so warming, filling and comforting. My wife had the scallop special with pumpkin curry rice and loved it. The Calamari is always a hit with the family and this time we tried the Shrimp toast which was very tasty. We definitely will miss Tuk Tuk when we move from Atlanta this summer.

Best Thai Food & Great Atmosphere

By Rebecca L |

The Panang curry was some of the best Thai food I’ve had in a long time and the serving portions were generous. Located, on the third floor, you get good views of downtown. Parking is easy behind the building and is free. I highly recommend!

Delicious Authentic Dinner

By nursewendybird |

My husband and I stayed overnight in Atlanta in order to catch an early morning Amtrak train and walked down the road to this loft restaurant. It was a weeknight and not overly crowded. Service was prompt and attentive, though our server was a little hard to understand. She was eager to make suggestions and describe menu items. We both had Massaman curry dishes which were very good and fried banana over coconut ice cream for dessert.Prices were reasonable and the atmosphere was pleasant and suitable for private conversation. Living up in the north Ga. mountains as we do, this was a treat for us as we have limited cuisines offered near home.

Don't do it to yourself...

By CNR683 |

The food was just average and the service was awful. Our waitress was giving eye rolls, side eyes, and flat out ignored us a couple of times. A server bought us the wrong food, but I guess that happens every now and then. Being ignored when you're trying to tell your waitress is a problem. That food sat on our table for at least 10min. before she came over. I was late meeting my friends and when I arrived it didn't even matter. My friends had been seated, given menus, and then....nothing. For 15min. No offer to take drink orders while they waited on me. Not ever water. I was there for 5-7min before the waitress finally came over. It seemed like we were waiting for water and cocktail refills the whole evening. The venue itself is very nice. The lighting, decor, and high ceilings come together well. The tom yum soup was actually good, but not mind blowing. I can say the same thing about Thai chili chicken wings. The pad thai was average. The drinks were also average. Just go somewhere else. Don't waste your time and money.

Authentic Thai❤️❤️

By Barbie120 |

Great location.. Free parking!! Traditional Thai menu.. Delicious! Ambience superb, food delicious! Tom Ka Gai coconut curry soup with chicken and mushrooms, baby corn, spinach and sticky rice! Great! BBQ Pork with egg noodles! Flash fried Tofu with Tamarind sauce! Great! Thank you to Gus our server for being so knowledgeable and friendly. Wrap around patio with ample seating. Beautiful view! Great loft restaurant with simple but elegant decor!

Good Tai in Atlanta?

By Steven S |

You better believe it. Great dish. The three people I went with all had something different and all liked their meal. Calamari was a great appetizer with a sweet dipping sauce. Go early so you can get a patio seat or call for reservations.

Great entrees, disappointing dessert

By ashumanoj |

We went to Tuk Tuk restaurant for lunch yesterday. Happened to be there when health inspection was going on and the kitchen was on a pause. We had to wait for about 50+ minutes to get the food. The food was delicious but I wish the owners had provided something to nibble on while we waited. We got there at 12:30 and we didn’t get out food until 1:30ish and we were starving. We ordered tofu pad Thai and the lunchbox. Both were delicious!! Was very disappointed with the fried icecream dessert - the waiter said it was ginger icecream but the flavor didn’t come through at all. There was maybe a tiny one bit of ginger in the whole order. Overall - great food, not a great dessert! Decor is beautiful and so is the location with ample parking!!

Delicious Red Snapper

By Paris Girl |

This was my second visit to Tuk Tuk and the first time ordering the Red Snapper at my friend's recommendation. It was sooo delicious! The veggie samosas were great too. Never had anything that wasn't a party on my palate.

Delicious!

By Finch42 |

My wife and I had a great experience here. The food was extremely flavorful and the service was great!! Don't skip dessert because the ice cream with bananas was awesome!!

Great Dining Experience

By TravellerBill123 |

Parking lot for the restaurant is abundant and well lit with uniformed security guards present and visible as they are roaming. The restaurant is on the third floor of an office building from he furthest parking space it will only take about five minutes walking to get to the front door of the building. The restaurant staff are attentive and responsive to your needs. The waitress was ever present checking on the customers. The menu has quite a few offerings but is hard to see as the lighting does not facilitate reading as they are set rather low for ambiance. Had to take out phone for illumination in order to read the menu. Went with the small plates, about eight of them and it was awesome. I would highly recommend doing this as it allowed the tasting of various foods. Your taste buds will never grow bored here as the food is really good and there is quite a bit of variety. The food was delivered to the table in a timely manner hot and still sizzling. The staff were courteous and professional. If you get a chance this is a great dining experience.

Award-winning, fancy Thai restaurant

By Road_Warrior32034 |

This highly rated and popular restaurant shares its ample parking lot with several ground-level daytime businesses which works well for their evening dinner customers. There was parking lot security present during our Sunday evening visit. While waiting for the elevator to the second-floor restaurant, you can take pictures in a genuine three-wheeled Tuk Tuk open-air taxi. Upon arrival at the hostess station, your eyes begin to drink in the fine decor, with small lights in the ceiling that make it appear like stars in the night sky. There were bar height tables near the front, bench tables along the back wall, many free-standing tables throughout and a drink bar along a side wall. We were lucky to get a bench/table in the back corner from which we had a nice view of everything going on. There is not very much of the decor that helped absorb some of the raucous laughter and conversation, so expect it to be a noisy place. Their service staff appeared to be hustling around efficiently providing for the needs of their customers. I ordered the Kao Moo Dang, my wife ordered the Pad Thai Woon Sen. My Kao Moo Dang was a bit on the dry side with the sausage and pork over-cooked, but my wife raved about her Pad Thai Woon Sen and described it, “Delicious!”.

Awesome cocktails and really good food!

By Priyal P |

Really nice vibe, service isn't too great when they're busy. Highly recommend the coconut soup and panang curry and tahi samosas!

Great Thai food in Buckhead

By Robert G |

Our family loves Thai food so we had to find a good Thai restaurant in Atlanta. We looked online and decided to give Tuk Tuk a try. Turns out it was excellent. Every meal we have ordered we loved. Highly recommended!!

Lofty Expectations

By ccesq |

I had really high expectations heading into dinner at Tuk Tuk. It was rated one of the best Thai Restaurants by Travel and Leisure. When you enter from the parking lot you take the elevator up to the third floor. It wasn't until I walked past the bar that I realized the true size of the restaurant. We were a group of eight. We were seated right away. We ordered a bunch of appetizers. The beef skewers, ribs, friend shrimp and calamari were all really good. The chicken satay was a little bland. It's a good thing that we ordered lots of appetizers as it was quite a wait for more food. The waiter didn't even take our dinner order until we were finished with the appetizers. A couple at another table walked out. When my snapper with chili sauce arrived, it was beautifully presented. It was garnished with cloves of garlic so presumably I don't have to worry about vampires. The fish was cooked perfectly, My only complaint is that the sauce wasn't at all spicy which is what I've come to expect with Thai food. Overall I enjoyed the restaurant. I thought it was a little pricey, especially given the service but I'm willing to give it another try. Apparently it's very popular on Monday nights when they serve Thai fried chicken which I'm looking forward to trying.

Love the food & atmosphere!

We never have to wait and the food comes quickly. My hubby loves the Thai tea as well. Shrimp friend rice delicious!

A Nice Surprise

By flyawayalt |

I went to Tuk Tuk for a family dinner this past weekend and was very hesitant about going. I had previously been there multiple times a few years ago and had been highly disappointed with the food, service, price, and lack of interest by the manager with issues. So disappointed and angry that I vowed to never go back. HOWEVER, this time was like it was a new restaurant. The service was excellent and so was the food. We ordered some specialty cocktails (pass on the Side Car but the Boulevardire was great) and then some appetizers. We let the waitress pick 5-6 different things and were not disappointed. The guys really liked the ribs and even ordered another serving. The calamari and the samosas had great flavor with a bit of a kick. There was a beef dish that was served hanging on skewers (unsure of the name since we didn’t order) that were exceptional; tender and great sauce. For dinner we all ordered something different and all enjoyed our meals. For desert we ordered mango sticky rice, fried green tea ice cream, and the fried bananas with coconut ice cream. It was a great meal and we all talked about going back soon.

Modern Thai Tapas

By MattMacon |

I love Tuk Tuk! This place makes me happy...so modern and mimimalist. Cocktails made with Thai ingredients are tasty as Hell! Is it the best Thai food I've ever had...no, but it is the place we keep returning to.

Outstanding

By World Traveller |

Best Thai food I have had in years. I dined here with a number of colleagues and we ordered several appetizers and entrees to share. Every dish was outstanding. The service was excellent and the wine menu was impressive for a Thai restaurant. The decor and ambience were also impressive. I wish I had had the time to go back, I'll definitely return on another trip. This restaurant is a must if you like Thai food.

Outstanding restaurant! The food is authentic, the service is friendly and not pushy, the atmosphere is great bot inside and outside. There "box lunch" comes in 4 stacked metal containers, 1 soup, 1 veggie, 2 meats. Very different and unique, but delicious. The shrimp salad was plentiful, with 5 large shrimp. This is a much try.

Delicious but expensive

By MsKimee |

I'm fairly new to Thai food but I decided to try it and was pleasantly surprised. My only complaint is a main dish and wontons should not cost me 30 dollars ( I ordered my food to go)

Limited menu but delicious food

By N W |

We enjoyed a visit at Tuk Tuk and enjoyed the second story balcony view of the city. We had a great dinner with excellent friendly service. The prices are a bit high for the amount of food provided. We would definitely return. Authentic, delicious and fresh.

Albeit a few hickups on a busy Fri night.......THIS IS the place to eat ;). Just delicious Thai. Fresh as can be.

My Favorite Place!

By KitaTravels |

Big shout out to my friend Nick for introducing me to this place a couple years ago - I've been hooked ever since. I'm slightly embarrassed to admit that I managed to get another friend hooked and, for a while, Tuk Tuk was our go-to weekday spot for lunch or drinks after work...several times a month...and on weekends. I've since managed to control my cravings and now only go a few times a year. The food is always fresh, flavorful, and filling. The service is always warm and friendly. In addition to the great food, drinks, and service, I really love the decor and ambiance. This is a perfect place for a romantic date or just a nice lunch outing for co-workers.

I like this place...

By HGLAW |

The atmosphere is light and lively; the service is superb. It stacks up very nicely against the other very good Thai restaurants in Atlanta. At lunch (the only meal I have eaten here, but I have been on several occasions), the prices were appropriate. I agree with other reviewers that the appetizers are a lot of fun, and there do seem to be choices available for the vegans and gluten-free folks. Check it out!

A Different Take on Thai

By StockholmKindaGuy |

Tuk Tuk's contemporary space sets this Thai restaurant apart from many others in the Atlanta area. Their menu features a wide range of dishes, many I haven't seen on other menus and offering greater variety. I had the Tuk Tuk lunch box, which included soup, rice and two Thai dishes. The food was presented in a traditional Thai lunch box. The selections vary. At $12, I thought it was well priced and I was filled when I finished. The food was good, but not great. Our server was friendly and attentive. Tuk Tuk has a full bar for you drinkers. A Different Take on Thai

Fantastic Thai Food

By HCovik |

We've been at the restaurant before and knew it was wise to make reservations especially on a Friday night. We were with 5 and very disappointed when we were seated at a table for 4 with an added seat. The staff apologized, but because of the number of large groups this was all there was available. We ordered our drinks and when they arrived we were told that a larger table could be arranged. Anyway, we love the Thai food. We had some small plates first, such as Satay Kay (chicken skewers) and Kung Tod (fried shrimp). As main dishes we ordered Panang and green curry as well as Be-Mee Moo Dang, Pad See with beef and Pad Zee U. All were very tasty. (Their menu is on line) and all of them are highly recommended. The young lady who served us was very helpful in explaining the food and giving us suggestions (i.e. no, stay with the egg noodles as the rice noodles will ruin the taste). Feel free to ask for extra spicy or extra sambal. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, service is timely and friendly. Because the restaurant was quite filled it was a bit noisier than usual. This is our place for Thai food, whenever we are in the mood. As to prices, you get what you pay for.

Good Honest Thai

By Jeff M |

It’s a good honest Thai meal but a little pricey for the quality. You are in and out quick and the service is good. They seem to rush you between entree and main to try and turn the tabes over. Steer clear of the wine and just have the food and its a reasonably priced outing.

Some winners, some not so

By Jeff S |

We visited Tuk Tuk Loft with friends and really enjoyed it. I was a little concerned about the elevator when I read it was upstairs, but it was fine, clean and very workable. We went with a group of five, shared a few small plates and each ordered an entree. The food ranged from excellent to OK. • Favorite was the Nuah Ping (Grilled skewered beef tenderloin with tamarind chili sauce). 5 long pieces of beef dangling on a skewer. The flavors were great and loved the additional dipping sauce. • The Kanom Jeeb (Steamed chicken and shrimp dumplings with mushroom, galanga and soy chili sauce) were very good. Others at the table liked them more than I did. Be careful of the small piece of red chile sitting on top as it can offer a big pop of spiciness. • We did not like the Kung Tod (Fried shrimp with sweet chili sauce). The breading was much too thick, flavorless and it wrapped a flavorless shrimp. I would pass on this. • The Pad Zee U (Chicken sauteed with flat rice stick noodles, eggs and Chinese broccoli in black soy sauce). It was loaded with chicken which was a little overcooked. This was a good dish, nothing memorable, nothing bad, sorta middle of the road. Service was outstanding. Our server explained the specials and was consistently on top of his game. Tuk Tuk is a fun place to share some creative food, but you should look for bold flavors versus basic fried items.

Great authentic Thai, per my Thai wife!

Excellent and well with the high price. She said the menu was not the normal for Thai restaurant in the US! Loved it

Great Dishes

A friend and I had lunch here. We were immediately greeted by 2 very friendly worked and seated right away. The atmosphere is really nice and easily suitable for couples or groups. I ordered shrimp toast and shrimp coconut soup. Both items were fresh and very tasty. The sou had a little spice, just enough. My friend ordered Kra Pow Moo which was delicious but not for the weak pallet. Great flavors. Very spicy.

Very Good

The Greeter was not very welcoming, but I wanted to see who Beat Bobby Flay on his show preparing Thai Food. Unfortunately, the owner (DeeDee) was at her other location, so I did not get to meet her, but I was not disappointed. The atmosphere is nice. You can eat on the patio or indoors. There is a nice bar if you prefer to sit there. The table sitting is OK, not too comfortable but accommodating. The food is off the chain. It's a real Tuk Thai Food Experience. I have been eating Thai Food since 1985 from New York and this place ranks high in taste and flavor. The Green tea was steeped perfectly to complement our meal. This was a good night for Dining.

Keep looking

They could not get the basics correct, the curries and soups were just wrong. I love Thai food, and this place should be ashamed of themselves. They need to change businesses.

Tuk Tuk

By LeaLea73 |

The food is flavorful but a bit pricey. Nothing is recognizable on the menu. The restaurant ambience is very nice as is the location, no fee for parking which is a plus.

Great place on Peachtree Rd.

By Jim M |

Tuk Tuk is first rate. They have a good selection of foods of Thailand. They have both small plates and large plates. You will love the three floor patio with great view of midtown and downtown Atlanta. Wonderful service.

Yummy Thai Food !!

By Tami C |

Picked this restaurant over many other Thai options in GA, and was pleased with the atmosphere and presentation mostly. However, on ordering 40$ worth of additional take-out found the portion to not be worth the cost (appetizer = 5 very tiny steamed dumplings + 2 noodle dishes). Otherwise, very tasty & the service was a gold star..

Beware of the elevator

By Sheree W |

I tried several small dishes and most were good. The fish was great. The ambiance and patio were the best part of the evening. You must take a small elevator to enter and exit. It holds 3-4 people. There is no access to a stairwell except in an emergency,

Great location, food and service!

With a location just off Peachtree rd. in Buckhead, this is s great place for business lunch and dinners. Its fairly big, with a bar and balcony seating. I really like their stir-fries, but this time tried a couple of the small plates and was not disappointed! Highly recommended.

Beautiful Night Out, Average Thai Dishes

By Alex A |

We visited Tuk Tuk in Atlanta for dinner with a friend. Although we enjoyed our evening together (helped by a nice selection of wine and sake), the food itself was disappointing. As a group, we ordered Pad Thai, the salmon entrée, drunken noodles, and a shrimp Thai fried rice. The Pad Thai lacked flavor and was very average. The fried rice was similarly mild and didn’t offer much in terms of depth or seasoning. The drunken noodles also lacked color and vibrancy and tasted rather flat. The highlight of the evening was the salmon dish, which was well-prepared and nicely presented with vegetables, rice, and curry sauce. Service was unusually slow during our visit — nearly an hour elapsed between ordering and receiving our dishes. Our friend mentioned this wasn’t typical, but it did impact our experience. Overall, the food did not quite meet expectations, especially given how busy and popular the restaurant was. Based on this visit, it’s a 3 out of 5 for me.

Excellent Traditional Thai Food!!

By Manny A |

We frequently eat Thai food and make it a point of dining in at least one Thai restaurant when visiting a new city. This was our last meal on our Atlanta trip and it was the best meal we had the entire week. From the small plates to the main dishes, everything was very flavorful and well presented. Even the dessert fried cheesecake was delicious. The ambiance and decor were also very impressive, modern and slick in a tasteful way. Would return if in the area again.

Great food / ambiance and service

Love this place for lunch - easy parking - unique atmosphere and always great food and service. The menu is very eclectic the portions are perfect. Love meeting friends and clients here.

I've had better at this price point

By Joy67117 |

My husband and I went here for a date night. We ordered two small plates - the Kung Tod (fried shrimp) and Satay Kai (chicken skewers). Both were good but not remarkable. I wish we had ordered the beef skewers. We saw them on other tables and they looked really good with an inventive presentation. For dinner, I had the Pad Thai and my husband had Green Curry. His was very good and mine was just average. We also tried a couple of the cocktails each and they were very good. The service was good and the ambiance was nice. I was just a little underwhelmed with the food for the price.

Okay

I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. The lighting and decor was fantastic.I even love how they have a Tuk Tuk in the lobby before you get to the restaurant. However I've had better Thai elsewhere. The Pad I was just okay.

SO DELICIOUS!!!

We finally got to check this off our must-do list! We've wanted to eat here for years but somehow just never got around to it. That was our loss!!! The food here is excellent and the service was wonderful! There were 5 people in our party and we each ordered something different and ate family style. Loved this as it gave us a chance to try so many different dishes. Not one of them disappointed. The weather was a little to cool to eat outside but next time we eat here, it's going to be on the patio! What a great view of the Atl skyline!!!

Too many Thai spots in town to waste money or time at Tuk Tuk

By DecaturWanderlust |

Extremely disappointing, from first impression to last! Greeter unhappy to see us. Had reservation, & though place virtually empty, we were seated near noisy kitchen. Waiter knows nothing about menu or dishes. Out of the draft beer on list. Took 20 minutes from seating to get our drinks. Took flagging down different waiter to ask for check when finished, as our’s disappeared. Food just “okay-“. Absolutely NO reason to ever return to Tuk Tuk. Should’ve given ONE star

Hoping for a positive change

This restaurant has always previously been amazing with food choices, quality and service. Sadly, it has made operational changes that appear to have only reduced menu options and increased prices. Service was still solid but it was very disappointing when even the rice wasn’t up to par.

Good Thai Food

Great place to go with family or friends. Many amazing dishes to choose from. We ordered 5 dishes and shared them!

Best Asian Food

By Kay |

I'm a finicky eater but this was the BEST Asian food I ever had. We ate the Neau Sawan, Papaya Salad, and the Pad Zee U. The prices were great and so was the service. You must go there!!

Thai cooking in Atlanta

No need for a long review. This place is great, authentic and perfect for lunch or dinner!! They are on the top floor and corner of the bldg so great views from the patio. The patio is also heated so it’s open year round. I was there last year on the patio while it was snowing and having dinner. It was a great experience. During my recent visit last week the bartender whipped up his own drink specials just for us so of course we all felt special. This place has great food and a great staff

Great Rooftop View

They're food is really good and has reasonable pricing. The seating outside was also beautiful and very well styled.

Great Thai Food with unique desserts

By Al S |

Took my visiting grand kids [ 10,7 and 3] to a little gem called "Tuk Tuk" at 1745 Peach tree street with great parking in rear and you take elevator to 2nd floor for a great dining experience. Keep room for desserts with their special 'Ice Shaving" for both adults and kids. give them 5 stars with my servor Mao on her toes.

“Good Thai Food, Great Atmosphere, Excellent Service”

By HickoryHoney |

We recently dined for the first time at Tuk Tuk and were not disappointed. I opted for the Panang curry (A medium spiced curry with green beans and kaffir lime leaves) with chicken and requested it be served with sticky rice, which is a Thai favorite of mine. While it was very good, it was not the best I have ever had and the servings of sticky rice were, I felt, rather modest. Certainly one serving was not enough for me and I ended up ordering not one but two more! My husband's dish, however, the Kao Pad Goong Chiang (Fried rice with diced Thai sausage, eggs, onions and Chinese broccoli) was a pleasant surprise and absolutely delicious!! I kept sneaking bites of it and the serving was very generous! He also had a bowl of the Tom Kha Kai soup (Chicken and coconut galangal soup with mushrooms and cabbage) which was classic Thai and very good if you like the Thai soups. Others in our party shared the small plates of Nuah Ping (Grilled skewered beef tenderloin with tamarind chili sauce)eggs, onions and Chinese broccoli), Kung Tod (Fried shrimp with sweet chili sauce), Satay Kai (Grilled chicken skewers with peanut sauce and cucumber salad) and Thai Samosa (Crispy vegetable filled rice paper pockets served with tamarind sauce). While I did not taste these, they looked amazing and must have been good because there were none left! I would recommend this restaurant and certainly would return, as not only was the food delicious but the service and atmosphere made for a great evening.

My favorite Atlanta restaurant BOMBED

By TraveledMilesPerHour |

The folks at Tuk Tuk have opened a new restaurant and they have let the service drop off here terribly in the mean time. It’s a shame, because this is truly one of my favorites and the quality of the food is still great. Penny, our server had no good excuse for why it took an hour and 15 mins to get our main course on the table. This is when the restaurant was less than 70% full. I’m heartbroken that they have let the place go... Cheers!
