We went here twice in three days for the chicken kabobs because they are so tasty. Both times, we took them to the park to eat although there are tables in the restaurant. The women behind the counter are very nice too.

Definitely a stop that should be on your Seattle and Pike Place Market itinerary. Tasty Turkish delight, and a friendly family -- including Denise and her mother -- behind the counter. Stop by and say hello and support a local business!

Yum! Ordered a Doener. It was pretty good. I like the two women who work here. They seem to know everyone and are super engaging and kind. The pistachio baklava is a big deal.

Oh were we happy to come across Turkish Delight on the Northern edge of Pike Place! We waited until they opened for lunch, and right at 11:30 in we went to delicious scents, freshly made lentil soup and hot, hot spinach borek. Two of our party had really good donor kebabs, a favorite since our trip to Turkey several years ago. There was a grand assortment of Turkish delight (the confection) behind the counter. Credit cards are not accepted and prices are in line with other restaurants at Pike Place.

So dang good. The service was slow, but the taste made up for it. My wife’s favorite meal on our entire trip to Seattle.

We stopped by here after our food tour and I tried the Turkish deligh and did not care for it although I think it tastes just like it is supposed to taste. If you like Turkish delight this is the place for you! I did, however, try the homemade Baklava and it was wonderful!!!

We stopped in to get some Turkish delight as it looked home made in the pan. We purchased the rose and raspberry flavors. Did not try it until later and it absolutely had no flavor! You would think at a place like Pikes market it would be really good.

During a trip to Seattle we happened upon Turkish Delight while looking for a quick bite for lunch. We were very happy with our meal and the prices were very good. We would definitely go there again and highly recommend!

This is a sweet food joint in pike place market to grab a quick lunch or snacks. We had lentil soup, chicken kebabs, and Turkish delight sweets. Food was excellent and so was the service. Only problem is that the place trends to get crowded and you may have to wait long in queue as staff is in limited number only. Also they don't accept cards.

I ambled by this shop on my morning walk thru Pike place. Two ladies were busy preparing and taking orders. I looked in and things looked good and made a note to come back for lunch. I had the lentil soup with rice and chicken breast. OMG sooooo goood. I told them better than anything i had on my trip to Istanbul. I saw a few South Asians take out orders. It is a small shop but very good. They have sweets too.

Mediterranean food. Family owned establishment. Food is good, and fresh (pita bread fresh out of oven). Place is simple and clean. Homemade Turkish delight is s treat. Baklava is delicious. Here is a place where you can actually sit and eat ( and quite frankly) out of the heavy crowds around the market.

This unassuming family shop / restaurant serves some of the best food in Seattle. I love the seafood but what a delicious break! The lamb stew was phenomenal! It was an outstanding experience. I'll be back.

I have been a fan of Turkish Delights since I was a child I have tried various versions from French and American styles but never an authentic Turkish Delight I have to say it was yummy! Highly recommend to anyone the service was fast and the people were friendly they have drinks and food items too but I only tried the Turkish Delights so I have to recommend those. Though I don't recommend trying to take Turkish Delights on a plane I did and because the altitude/pressure changes they didn't look like they did before I got on the plane.

This is a place you step in to have a quick bite and they don't disappoint. The kebab rolls are pretty good and filling, but what takes the centrestage are the amazing desserts especially the baklavas. They close pretty early. ( 8,30 pm)

The spinach and feta burek is a delightful breakfast ( or any time.) We ate one and then went back to get another on our way to our lodging, so we could have a quick, delicious and easy breakfast the next morning.

I was at Pike's Place today and decided to have a bite at this place. The location is perfect. The place was clean and the hostess polite. The chicken doner kabab was quite bland and uninteresting though their bakalava was good.

I absolutely love Turkish Delight. I go there every time I hit up Pike Place Market. Their staff is exceptionally friendly. They also have the best shawarma and baklava in the city. Great place to grab lunch and enjoy the view of Puget Sound.

I work close by so I stopped by for a lunch. To my amazement there was a lamb stew not on the menu so I thought I'd try it. They served it with fresh hot pita. The stew is amazing and I'm addicted. The pita is the best I've ever had. I am a baklava snob. The baklava is delicious and also highly recommended. There are huge chicken gyros, lentil soup and pastries. This is a must stop at Pike Place Market street!

My son fell in love with Turkish delight in Istanbul 2 years ago at the Spice Bazaar. This place sells the delight exactly reminiscent of the Spice Bazaar experience. The proprietors are fantastic! The windows were open but the restaurant was closed. I stuck my head in and asked when they open and the matriarch said "if for candy come in." I bought pomegranate, lemon, and rose Turkish delight for my son. Super delicious!

During a family trip we had pastries from Turkish delight during our last visit to Seattle. We came back again during this visit. Best Turkish pastries we have had. Love the variety of options for a new treat to try. A must have when in Seattle.

Ah, family restaurants, how much I love you! That was my impression of Turkish Delight. I visited here on a lunch short on cash. I had credit card, which they did not accept. I already ordered when the card was rejected (I don't think they had the machine to accept it), so I offered to run to the ATM to get cash. They told me to eat first, or the food would be cold! I even ordered extra after this. It felt so nice to have such understanding and friendly service (although the mom can't speak much English for me to say thank you T_T). Food wise, the place was good. Not exceptional, wowing you off your pants, but reliable and tasty. The coffee packed a punch, and tasted delightful. The prices are affordable. All in all, a good place to rest while exploring Pike Place market

Family owned restaurant. Authentic. Turkish coffee was great. As was the baklava. Do it, you won't regret it.

I came by accident to this place. I am glad I stopped because I was in for pleasant and delicious meal. I was recommended the curry which was a flavorful choice. There are many other choices which I have to taste in the future. Service was great.

The owner & her daughter were so engaging. We enjoyed the chicken she had on the spit and carved for us. The pastries we purchased for lunch, the soup was wonderfully spiced. We ate there twice. both for the conversation as well as the fabulous food. A must visit again when I go back!

Stopped for a quick bite during lunch. Thought I'd try Turkish Delight by Pike Place. Had a wonderful beef & lamb borek, vary tasty and filling; and a good value.

We stopped by for Turkish delight, baklava, and Turkish coffee and were happy we did. The staff here treated us like family. They were very friendly and helpful. The baklava was very good and the Turkish coffee was nice and strong. Unfortunately we got there towards the end of the afternoon and the Turkish Delight was almost sold out (not many options). If you are in the area, stop by and get yourself some Turkish goodies. You won't regret it.

We stopped in here while walking around Pikes Place! We always like to try different things on vacation for fun! My kids being fans of the Narnia books/movies were excited to try some homemade Turkish Delight! They loved it... we bought every flavor and had fun trying them all! We also tried the Baklava which was delicious and fun to try as well! Highly recommend! Be advised they don't accept card... Cash Only!

I had the lentil soup with chicken added and my husband got the chicken shawarma. Delicious! We shared pistachio baklava for dessert, so good! Of course we got Turkish delight, many flavors to choose from and yummy. Great place for some fresh, good food!

First of all the spot of the restaurant is perfect. Turkish Delight is located in Pike Place near to Pike Place Market. As I am a Turkish you can find many delicious traditional foods like kebab, soups, wraps and pastry. This family owned restaurant offers you good Turkish food.

The food satisfied the hunger but not the soul! The pita was very good but the rest was just good. It was July 4th and by 6pm they had sold out of most of their menu items. They didn't have what I wanted so I ordered what they had. They accidentally made a Latte for somebody, but it was wrong so they offered it to me for free. That was nice, but I found out I don't like Turkish style lattes! That is not a knock on them, it just means I didn't like the flavor. It was strange to me.

Stopped at this place for some Turkish delights and coffee. The taste was good, but they were small, misshapen, way too soft, and overpriced. I paid $12 for a very tiny box of sticky mess.

Stayed in line for more than 10 minutes to order some rose flavored Turkish delight. We gave up after that. There was only one person behind the counter and she had to go back and fourth to the kitchen.

No wonder Edmond was so tempted by Turkish Delight in Narnia! This is the real stuff, super fresh, no corn syrup!! We went twice to try almost every flavor. Rose was a favorite, but they were all scrumptious!

I'm a huge fan of döner kebabs but always have difficulty finding them in the US. This place had them, and they were fantastic! Great food, fast & convenient, and at a good price.

i was a little tired from the starbucks onipresent taste of coffe: they have coffe from arabica coffe and definitely it is different- and better! the owners are at the main room and the best cooffe comes at your table ! perfect!

Right in Pike Place Market, this restaurant is a must visit! I had read about Turkish Delight in The Chronicles of Narnia and always wanted to try it, but hadn't ever come across it. Needless to say, we were thrilled to find this adorable cafe during our trip to the market and even more thrilled to try their delicious rendition of the confection. At only fifty cents a piece, you can try lots of flavors. I highly recommend the berry. They are all gluten free and they have several tree-nut free varieties as well (ask at counter and use your discretion, of course). It's like the best blend of a soft, puffy homemade marshmallow with the punchy tang of a fruit snack, but gourmet and not fake tasting at all. And the staff was so kind and welcoming! Look for the neon "Turkish Delight" sign right across the street from the big red market sign and the main entrance to the warehouses. We can't wait to come back!

Take a walk down Pike Place, just out of the way of all the hubbub of the tourists at the market, and you'll find a little hole-in-the-wall bistro. At a glance it may not seem anything special, but be prepared to be blown away by Turkish Delight. Here you can find a sumptuous array of dishes, including kebabs, splendid veggie sandwiches made on grilled pita with yogurt, a savory lamb stew, and an awesome lentil soup. I should also mention that the family that owns the bistro are impossibly friendly and pleasant people, eager to ensure that you get perfect food. Think you can't live without visiting the first Starbucks location? Wait till you try this Turkish coffee, easily the finest. Literally, the coffee beans are ground much finer for Turkish coffee than they are for normal espresso, resulting in a very strong, aromatic, and luxurious brew. And these people definitely know how to make a great one, but you'd be remiss if you walked out without trying a bit of baklava. Here they make the best baklava, a pastry filled with honey and pistachios. I have saved the best for last, however: the eponymous treat of the bistro. Yes, here they really do their namesake justice, for this has got to be the best Turkish delight I've had in North America -- and I've bought it from an Anatolian store in Canada, an import straight from Turkey. But this one is homemade, so no preservatives. It is more than a delight, it is exquisite and soft. My favorite is the rose water one, but they are all terribly sensational. My sweetie and I bought a bag of 30 and almost immediately regretted it, thinking there was no way we could eat 30. By the time we crossed Pike Place and walked up the street we had a wholly different regret: that we hadn't bought more. Hours: 11 am - 5 pm (Mon - Thu) 11 am - 5:30 pm (Fri - Sun)

I would recommend the orange blossom Turkish delight over any other flavors, though the others are good too. The lentil soup was to die for and the spinach pastry pocket was pretty good too. They specially made a vegetarian wrap for us that wasn't on the menu! Definitely a good find.

They serve soup, sandwich and specialties... great location at Western avenue just in front of the Pike Market

If you want a great meal with the nicest service in Seattle then you MUST go to Turkish Delight. It is located at the end of Pike's Market a few doors down from the original Starbucks. This is always our first meal on arrival. We recommend a chicken donner kebab and some piping hot soup. Great on a rainy, chilly Seattle Saturday.

I only went here to grab a quick snack while walking around the Pike Place Market area. However I wished I had more time as some of the pastries/turnovers looked amazing. There are many kinds of baklava and Turkish Delight for you to try. As well they have donair/kebabs. But the best items here were these large pastires that had all kinds of meat, veggies and cheese in them. There were about eight different varieties. They were served piping hot and smelled heavenly. One was big enough to share if you just wanted a small bite to eat, or have one for yourself as a meal. I wished that I hadn't already eaten lunch so I could try one. I had a slice of wonderful baklava and my friend tried the Turkish Delight. They had about 10 different flavours to choose from and each piece was 80 cents.

We were visiting our son in Seattle over the holidays and he insisted we try this place. The food & coffee was absolutely delicious! We ended up going there two more times during our short visit. The lentil soup is to die for but everything we tried was fantastic - lamb stew, chicken doner kebab, hummus, tabouli, baklava, and coffee. Highly recommend! Please keep in mind, it is family run and due to the insane deliciousness it can get busy so be patient. It's totally worth it.

Sometimes, you just can't take another piece of fresh Alaskan Salmon, cutting-edge sushi, or gastronomically-revolutionary-nouveau-local-farm-to-table offering. You need something more basic. More satisfying. More totally foreign to the prevailing Seattle aesthetic. This is your place. The owner is nice as can be. The food is traditional Turkish street food. The Doner is good -- as good as anything you'll find in most of this country. The baked goods are solid. If you want some Turkish grub in the emerald city, this is your place. If you've never had Turkish but you're curious to get a taste of it -- the ungussied, authentic version you'll find on corners and stands in Istanbul -- this is a safe bet.

I was over in Yugoslavia 20 or so years ago. While there we would have a Borek & Turkish Coffee quite often for breakfast. I had the Coffee today & it brought back memories but the Borek was prepared differently then I remembered. I figure that the food was different because the Serbians made it their way. Overall the Turkish Coffee was great, the lady hooked it up with a Double. The Beef Borek was fine too but made slightly different then expected. I’ll be back again.

Turkish Delight is a little out of the way from the huge crowds in Pikes Place Market. It is worth walking down the street. You can sit and people watch. Filling, reasonably priced lunch, with options if you want to be gluten free. Three stars because this isn't a gourmet meal, but for the money will fill you up with tasty food while playing tourist. Five stars for the desserts! Averages out to 4 stars. I would go back again.

CASH only in a big city are you kidding me? Kind of a pain, not posted well and hard to believe for destination place like Pikes. Even many of the street vendors take plastic. Enjoyed the soup, and the baklava is excellent. However, I have a pet peeve of having pricey soup in a paper cup, it is like having a good beer in a plastic cup. I understand if it is cheap and quick, and not for an actual sit down restaurant. I suggest taking credit cards, serving food in hard dishes and using real silverware. I thought Seattle was a green city and discouraged using disposable products? Also overall, a consistent theme for our family trip to the emerald city was increased food prices. They have went way up. I am not sure if this is because of the minimum wage laws. Next time I think we will definitely tip different and/or purchase more food and snacks at the grocery stores on the way over. The food costs high room takes, and parking costs makes it hard to make Seattle a family destination place.

I visited Turkey a few years ago and loved the food. Staff was friendly good was great and pretty fast. Baklava and Turkish coffee should be a must

I went in late in the day and ordered the chicken kabob pita. My wife and I stopped in Turkish Delight earlier in the week and they gave is a sample of their chicken and it was juicy and full of flavor. We returned on a Saturday at 5:30 on a busy weekend at Pike Place Market. The quality of the food and ingredients were tremendous. The portions are very large and you get great value for the price. The food and even the pita were homemade. The only negatives are they do not have enough staff and late in the day the chicken is slightly drier than what we had previously. They do not have a person dedicated to emptying the trash or wiping down the tables. In order to get a table wiped down the people making the food had to come out and wipe down the table. My recommendation is to come early and expect a great meal

Food was good and plentiful, the owner recommended his most asked for dishes! Loved the personal touch

I spotted reviews of this place on TripAdvisor before our trip to Seattle. Our hosts suggested chowder in Pike Place Market, but the line was insane even at 11:30 on a Friday. So I suggested we check this spot out, just down the street. The woman who runs it is just amazing. It's like visiting a friend's house. She walks you through all the things she's made and how and offers tastes and is so enthusiastic about food that you'll want to try everything. With four people in our party, we made a good attempt. We had doner in pita, chicken stew over rice, lentil soup, and some Turkish delight and baklava to finish up. All was outstanding. And you can eat in, with a view of the bay and the ferries. It is cash only (but lunch for four was $49, so not a lot of cash) so plan ahead.

I had never had these so had to stop. Staff were very friendly. Place was clean. I ended up buying several of each variety. Tasty!!

This appeared to be run by a small family—a nice touch. Two mature people prepared food while one young woman was serving. With such a small staff It took a very long time to get through the line -- that was my only hesitation. Like most people, we ordered gyro wraps (called “doner” there). The menu listed a choice of chicken or beef but the beef was crossed off (permanently I think, since it may be hard for them to keep up with the busy pace). The name “Turkish delight” comes from the candy they sell (a gel of starch & sugar). But most of the people I observed were there mainly for food and sodas. You can take away or dine in, but in either case you must line up to place your order.

Kind of a hole in the wall by Pike's Place but not touristy. Home made food and of course the candies in many flavors (like rose and lychee, etc.). Order at counter to stay and sit at inside tables or to go. Quick service but not "fast food." Clean and casual.

We stumbled upon this place and were delighted. Family run and it was very busy though the food was delicious. We ordered the chicken with rice and shared one box between two. Generous portions. Indoor seating is limited and it can get busy but worth the wait!

We hadn't had authentic Turkish food since our trip to Istanbul in 2012. The food at Turkish Delight was very good. They were out of donor kabob, but had chicken donor meat available. IT was delicious! We had a wait awhile for the food, but when it came it was very good. After lunch, we tried the lokum (Turkish delight candy), which was very fresh.

I really didn't expect much from such a high tourist spot. But wow, their bakhlava is probably the best I've ever tasted!! The honey is just the right amount and all of the ingredients taste so fresh it's nothing less than the taste of homemade! I'm bummed they were out of the talas when we were there, but so happy I grabbed dessert. Definitely worth checking out, and I'm guessing their Turkish coffee is out of this world too then!

Would have been five stars if they had a public restroom for customers, or if they took cards. this place is cash or check only. the food is great though. yummy lentil soup, and every borek I've had there is delish. if you have time, have the Turkish coffee. just don't stir!! family run joint, end it with some Turkish delights, pomegranate and pistachio are my favs

I just stopped to get baklavas, the store was about to close. The lady did stay and gave the baklavas. They do not accept cards!

Upon entering this site I didn't see many people, so I wasn't sure if it would be a good place to grab lunch, but I was wrong! I had the rice and chicken dish not sure what the chicken contained but the sauce white/yellowish. The bomb dot com. Now let me not forget about the Baklava! Sweet to the soul!!!! The best I've had.... I was provided one as complimentary and I ended up buying two to go!

We got to Turkish Delight soon after they opened. We were the third customers of the day. By the time we left, there were about 10 people in line. The service was kind albeit a bit slow. The food was very tasty. My Wife and I recommend the Lamb Stew!! May be the best we've ever eaten anywhere! Head on over to Turkish Delight when you are in the Pike Place Market area. They truly are a delight.

This little shop a few doors down from the original Starbucks is worth the stop. The carry a classic delicate, fresh rose Turkish delight, but had other interesting flavors, too. Try the berry!

We just wanted to grab a bite and take a break from walking up and down the market. We weren't expecting to get something to delicious with such a pleasant seat/view of the market and park. It was so laid back and tasty. It was a little more than I'd like to pay for a sandwich... but location, location, location.

We weren't hungry for a full meal but did stop in and picked up dessert. We tried the baklava and really wished I'd gotten more than one piece. It was perfectly done and wasn't overkill on the sweetness. Plus it was still warm so it melted in your mouth.

I've been here many times over the years, and I've yet to be disappointed. I love coming here for a turkey sandwich to-go, and walking across the street to the grass and watching the ferries and the people. The food is quite good here, whether you stay or take it with you. It's one of my favorite stops anytime I visit the market area.

Tried variety of turkish delight. Favourite was rose and strawberry flavor. It is a big place with a few tables to sit and relax while you are walking through the market. The service is great. Must stop while at Pike Place market.

My wife and I stopped in for a visit while we were in Seattle one afternoon. She was looking for lunch, and I was looking for dessert and coffee. This restaurant serves authentic Mediterranean food. I had some very good Turkish coffee, and my wife and I shared baklava and the best Turkish delight I have ever had. The staff persons at the restaurant are extraordinarily friendly; the lady who served us was sweet, generous, and helpful.

Not much to eat here, and too expensive. They have real turkish coffee and baklava is nice, but, BUT as someone who used to live close to Bosnia, toured around Turkey, I must call out average. Prices are high, but if you feel like spending, go for it.

So impressed by this wonderful eating establishment run by a delightful Mother-Daughter team. The lintel soup (made the same way for 30 years) is so tasty! Our 10 month old gave it a try and loved it. We had the chicken donner kebab and a chicken mushroom pastry as well as a rose Turkish Delight candy and an almond TD candy. Delectable!! Customer service was awesome and can't wait to go back. Thank you to the owners for their wonderful hospitality!! Five stars!

We love Turkish food and it was a nice surprise to see great quality Turkish food offered in the busy Markets area in Seattle. The food in Turkish Delight was quite good, terrific Lentil soup just like Turkey.

Three of us had lunch at Turkish Delight today. It is a no service restaurant. You order at the counter, pay and wait to pick up your food. The menu is not huge, but the food is very good. It is a small place with a handful of tables and a couple of booths that it took work to fit three people into. The restaurant is very small. The prices are reasonable. It is located across the street from the northern end of Pike Place Market.

Stopped in for lunch while on break from a meeting. This shop is right across the street from Pike's Place Public Market. The gal at the register was friendly and my food was quick. It was an awesome shawarma sandwich!

our kids really wanted to try turkish delight (the actual candy), so we stopped in for a couple of pieces. they loved it, so the next day we stopped by for more. there were a few varieties to choose from (walnut, rose, and almond). it is cash only, and can buy individual pieces for .50 or by the pound or 1/2 pound.

I'm a big fan of Turkish food since time spent in Germany. The food was delicious, although if I'm picky, the chicken was a little dry. Overall, a very positive experience!

I was extremely excited to try this restaurant while visiting Seattle after reading so many good reviews. Unfortunately I was really disappointed. The chicken kebab was the only one available at the time of our visit, the chicken was incredibly dry and the garlic sauce was on the weak side. I have been craving a proper kebab since I left Europe and this was much more like a gyro, but not as good. The staff was friendly but I would not recommend if you are looking for a juicy, tasty kebab. OH! not to mention the kebab was $12 after tax. Way over priced for what it was.

Wasn't expecting much but this was really good food. Had the same great flavors you get from store front vendors in Istanbul. Many of their dishes are great for take-out as you stroll the market. Great Value! Perfect for taking on the plane or train later.

We were looking for a quick lunch near Pikes Market, and tried this tiny place as we love Turkish food. We were pleasantly surprised. While the place is a bit of a dump, the food was outstanding. Everything was very fresh, authentic and delicious. The only negatives were plastic utensils, no credit cards and not a wide variety of dishes. But it is all home cooked and delicious.

Got it to Seattle, headed to market but needed a bite. Good location, nice ladies working there, interesting choice of food. I had the doner kebab and it was good. Others had other items, and all was good. Good lemonade. I’d go back when back in the area.

Turkish delights?.... thats an understatement! We went there 2 days in a row.... some of the best Turkish delight candy that I've ever had... the baklava (Walnut or pistachio) is the best we've had and we've been to Greece & Turkey and I have it anytime I'm in an ethnic area that makes baklava and this is hands down the best. The Donner pita sandwich was excellent, the chicken was juicy & flavorful, not dry... good portion and the yogurt sauce was definitely homemade and everythingwas fresh. Didn't get to try, but the lamb stew looked awesome. This place has that "This was made with love, care & pride... like Grandma's cooking" kinda place... Not a tourist trap, there was a good mix of locals waiting in line who frequent here, so I know it is good... and it indeed was.

For decades, I've ordered Turkish delights whenever possible. These candies went beyond every previous experience. I love that they're sandwiched into a street of international appreciation, but don't pass these treats by because you're too full. Buy some for later!

Please, do not attempt to go into the Starbucks that is next door. This place is gold for coffee. Real. Unadulterated coffee. And Turkish delight... it's a different world, so fresh, sweet, delightful, simply amazing. The one and only downside- you have to pay cash or check. But it is worth it!

Husband and sister in law had a huge need to visit this little hole in the wall for nostalgia purposes. Although they were closed, the owners let us in as well as a couple of other patrons to allow us to patronize their business. This was my first turkish coffee with a taste of turkish delights and it was pretty good. The coffee was strong but tasty and the delights were excellent which reminded me of mochi. If you have never been to Turkey then you should check it out, especially if you are at Pikes Market....why not! The meat was put away but I cannot wait to visit Seattle again so I can taste it. The owners were wonderful and so kind even if we were late patrons. I recommend you check it out!
Fantastic Barakas - Lovely Servers!
We stopped here to get something for our 3 and a half hour plane ride home Sunday evening. The Barakas were the PERFECT choice! Easy to carry and easy to eat on the plane! The lovely ladies here packed them carefully, and also a small box of Turkish Delight to take to our daughter back home. They have amazing choices as well of home made Baklava.
