Came for lunch on a Tuesday at noon - was the only person in the place. They had two specials posted - a draft beer special for $4, and extremely flavorful pale ale - definitely a good choice. They also had a burger and fries special for $8. However, it was the plain burger. You could order any burger and they would charge extra for the toppings - so I got the Breakfast Burger, which amounted to a $1 savings (wooppee!). The burger was downright juicy and flavorful, but way too much two8two sauce (which is mayo based). Next time I will get a burger without it. The other complaint was that the fries arrived after I had already finished the burger (the waitress had to yell at the cook). However, the fries were good and plentiful. Overall, I had a pretty good experience and the burger was great (better than Shake Shack!). Glad to have such a good place in the neighborhood. Will definitely return

Stopped in on a friday night on a recommendation from our hotel's bartender. He aaid it was phenomenal, and he was riight! We were seated promptly and our waiter was very attentive, even coming outside to give us directions when we were leaving. We had basic cheeseburgers (one kid's) and we both loved them. Shredded lettuce was fresh and was perfect on the very fresh burger cooked to order. The Greek fries with olive oil, feta and spices were outstanding and somehow not greasy. Would definitely frequent rhis pkace if we lived here!

This place was awesome!!! Burgers and fries were soooo yummy!! Definitely give it a shot!!! My husband and I have been there a few times. We like trying new places to eat!! This one is definitely a winner.

Ordered the lamb burger which came with tzatziki sauce only. Added a tomato and the greek fries on the side. Lamb burger - flavourful and well dressed with the sauce. I thoroughly enjoyed how juicy it was. However, the greek fries weren't the greatest..some type of sauce (tzatziki or something) would have made it much better. I didn't enjoy it the way I thought I was going to but I wouldn't say it was awful.

We stumbled upon this place and we happily surprised. We needed a quick meal before heading to a show at King's Theatre and were happy we did. Our server was engaged and friendly and the food was really good. All of us were happy, which is not always the case with parents and three teen daughters!

They adapted the burger to a lettuce wrap for me. The pub never was great. Juicy and tasty. Sweet potato fries are ok. Beer was good. Price was reasonable too. Speaking was a bit tight.

Went for dinner with family on a Friday night- place is quaint (plenty of street parking in the evening- that avenue is pretty busy during the day). Long bar as you enter- seats are in the back and there is an outdoor eating area as well. Menu was good in terms of pricing- even for the specialty burgers, and the hand crafted drinks sounded nice, but didn't taste so great (I had an Across Smith Street and could barely finish it- too bitter). My husband had an IPA, which he liked. Most of the drinks had egg whites in them as an ingredient which was a turn off for me but to each his own. Food was ok, nothing that stood out. Service and waitstaff were very nice. Place could use a touch up paint job.

In need of a quick lunch, my party stopped for some eats. My veggie burger was delicious. The fries were perfect and the drinks were well matched with our food order. This small bar and burger joint deserves another visit. The service was fast and friendly for these out of towners. My daughter, who lives in Brooklyn, says this is one of her many great places to eat! I believe her.

Me and my friends randomly decided to eat in this almost invisible bar-restaurant Two8Two in Brooklyn. From the outside it looks like a normal, perhaps nothing special, place - but if anything, it is special. Two8Two is one of the best places I have ever eaten in. The bar and restaurant area are clean and big enough for local and new people to come in. The inside represents the 80s soul, with excellent choice of music. The stuff is politeb friendly and helpful. They are the coolest, calmest and most chill people I have ever met. They tell you all about their place if asked. Now the food... The food is simply put - amazing! Even if the menu isn't that big - what they do offer is heaven. Freshly prepared burgers with authentic beef, turkey or lamb - with their own Two8Two sauce - are tastefully presented and taste as good as one would never expect. I, myself am not crazy for burgers but once I took a bite... Heaven! Just the combination of good music, excellent food and amazing stuff made me and my friends want to stay there forever... I would give this place a 100+ mark if it were possible. If given the chance, go have a look inside. The place is on the main street towards Brookyn Bridge through Brookyn.

Consistently good burgers in a relaxed atmosphere, no frills and unobtrusive service. The sides are enough for two people to share and the soda refills just keep coming. Prices are reasonable for Brooklyn and there are even deals on weekday lunchtime drinks.

The food is always excellent here. The burger is small, but it's always cooked perfectly! I would warn you not to get the lamb burger though - it doesn't seem like anyone can make a good lamb burger. I usually get the Two 8 Two burger, but I've heard from friends that the other burgers are just as good.

This maybe the best burger ever! The staff is super cool(Scott was our bartender) and the place is comfortable. Definitely check out this local spot in Brooklyn.

Good service, food and atmosphere. Not fancy but relaxed and fun. Great little outdoor patio and the burgers were on the smaller side but delicious. Loved it.

Caught a late night meal at the bar. Many great beer choices on tap and delicious burgers. Friendly staff.

Stopped in late on a FRI night for a bite. Had the Billy burger and a side of onion rings. Ate at the bar. Food was quite good.

After a long day of travel and the taxi driver from hell in nightmare traffic, we checked into our hotel and headed out for someplace nearby for a quick meal. We spotted 282 from across the street and we headed inside. Warm greeting. Friendly, helpful staff. And the best burger I've had in years. We went back three times in 7 days. Great specialty drinks, grilled cheese and bacon, French fries. And the best, friendliest service. What a find!

We had heard good things about the burgers here and were not disappointed. The burgers are flavorful and have a great sauce on them. The bar is not too large so you may have to wait but it is worth it.Came with a group of 5 and service was fast and friendly. They have good local beer on tap. The sweet potato fries were a little soggy and would have been better if crisp but the burger made up for it. Nice place for an evening out with friends.

Great place with really good prices. The place was clean and loved the interior. There were two of us, I had the Two 8 Two burger and my friend had a regular cheeseburger. We split an order of fries.

Finished a visit to the transit museum and was famished. Googled lunch nearby and saw this place and decided to give it a shot. I regret nothing. The burgers were thoroughly enjoyed by myself and my son. If I am in NYC again I will be a repeat customer!

We tasted our first Brooklyn Lager there and loved it. Burgers were fantastic. Service friendly and fun. Only downside is the smell of the kitchen was really pervasive and got into our coats/clothes. Not great ventilation?

I was yesterday with my wife and a couple of friends. I had a breakfast burger and it was simply amazing. Burgers are not so big but very tasty and well cooked. Place is very nice and the atmosphere you can breath inside let you feel in a real American pub. If you are in Brooklyn I really suggest to go there. PS prices were very good if you consider the NY standard....

The burgers were AMAZING! Small pub with amazing service and food. The burgers were juicy and flavorful. Awesome! Must go!!

Burgers were pretty good, we had 50/50, lamb and hot dog (super big). The burgers are definitely in the small size I could it easily ate 2. Place is cozy and have an outdoor space. The sweet potatoes fries were delicious. We will be backđ

They have a lunch special of a burger and fries for $9. The burger was good but the fries could have been crisper. Got a side of onion rings, and they were just okay - the kind that comes pre-made and just fried. Very busy but service was good. I don't think I'd return.

We had been to this burger place before and found it to be very good. So when we had another traveller stay with us, we headed down to try out luck. Burgers were fantastic, however the white wine was on the warm side. Cocktails were very good, Overall, great place to go for a consistently good burger. I had the bunless burger (Iceberg lettuce holds the pattie) by mistake, but glad I got to try it.

First night in town, and we were looking for someplace to grab dinner near our hotel in Brooklyn. Decided on burgers, and Two 8 Two was right down the street. Simple little casual place, with a decent beer selection. Not much more than burgers on the menu, but hey, it's a burger place. So glad we decided to try it! My burger was one of the best I've had in yearsâvery flavorful meat, and a bit messy, which only adds to the experience. My wife said the turkey burger was the best she'd ever had. This place is a can't miss.

I'd read that this place has some of the best burgers in Brooklyn, and I believe it may be true. The restaurant is not much to look at and the service is fairly brisk, so you don't linger. But the burgers are great - we both had the pub burger - large, perfectly cooked (medium rare); my husband still gets misty-eyed when he thinks about it....We also liked the fries and the beer selection.

My wife and I wanted a lunch stop near the Hilton hotel before meeting family for dinner. It is right on Atlantic Avenue and is sparkling clean and new. The place was packed for good reason as the food is good service fast and prices reasonable. We wanted burgers and rather than have the $18.50 cheeseburgers at the Hilton we walked just one block south and had local beers and cheeseburgers,(mine with chili) Fries and slaw on the side and fast service and low price. What's not to like?

3 of us went here on a Friday night, luckily we beat the rush. Burgers were super good as were the fries and drinks. Nice friendly family place. Saw many families out for supper. I would definitely go back here!

While shopping in the hood on Atlantic Ave. I always enjoyed a late lunch (burger and fries) sitting at the bar........(There is a daily "lunch special") Very friendly bartender and relaxed atmosphere.

Just round the corner from our hotel, we dropped in 1st night for a happy hour beer & cocktail, and ended up eating. The barman was extra friendly & we popped in another couple of nights for a couple of beers & cocktails. Just my sort of local

Just happened to be walking by around lunch, looked good so we went in. I know a burger is a burger but holy cow đ (pun intended) was the two8two burger phenomenal. The peppers đ¶ on the burger were perfect. Please give this a try!

Stopped in for a burger after touring Brooklyn. The service was good and the burger was very good. They had a good selection of craft beers on tap also. Recommend for a good lunch.

We came here during our short New York layover (flight crew) for an after work beer and burger. Fortunately we got a table on the patio and had a typical dinner: Good beer, burger, sweet potatoe fries or salad. The burger I had was relatvely small but very tasty. The service of the restaurant crew was fast although there were many guests at the time of our visit at around 10pm. Unfortunately it is a noisy place inside. I can recommend Two8Two Burger Bar.

Ate here with the family. Burgers were really outstanding. Son had a protein burger (no bun), I had a hamburger with French fries (special, came with French fries, cheese and grilled onion) and my hubby got a hamburger with a 1/2 Greek salad side. We all had free refills on Seltzer for $1 each. Burgers were $8-$10. The food was outstanding!! Bun was delicious as was the burger!!

Great burgers, great beer selection! Not the widest selection of food items, but there's mostly something for everyone. Great fries. Greek salad is good before your burger. Great prices.

Really tasty food. Staff friendly and accommodating. We were initially seated outside, but it was a bit chilly so we asked to move, and the waiter moved us immediately. Good choice of food and drink and a lively atmosphere. Great if you like to watch a bit of sport with your burger and fries!

Great burgers and fries. Reasonably priced and cool location and ambiance. Would definitely come here again.

This restaurant is right across the street from the NU Hotel. The food is great and the staff is friendly and accommodating. My husband enjoyed the lamb burger while I stuck with the standard beef. Gooey and delicious. On a previous visit I enjoyed the BLT, which I also highly recommend.

We came in as a family for the first time as we wanted a beer n burger. Sat down right away with our 2 yo in tow. Our beers came about 8 minutes after we ordered them, mi d you it wasnât that busy. The burgers were good, not much of a selection of choices, plus the fries were extra. Mine had onions cheese n bacon, for $13- it shouldâve come with fries already. Thanks for reading....

I stopped here on the recommendation of a friend for a late lunch and some daydrinking. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I went with the two 8 two burger with roasted poblano chilies with fries and was amazed. One of the better burgers I've had. They had several great local beers and some other stuff. If you're in Brooklyn, it's worth a visit.

Try their two8two burger and chili cheese fries, OMG it's so delicious. They also have good beers and tasty margaritas .

While on a visit to my son in Brooklyn, he picked out Two 8 Two for dinner. Their signature burger was excellent, and the sweet potato fries were good (but not outstanding).

Delicious hot off the grill burgers at Two 8 Two. Easy takeout when getting home late or on the run. Looking forward to trying brunch or dinner here soon.

I stopped in for a late lunch after a long day of travel. The bar was warm and welcoming. I was able to take my time, relax, and get a little work done. The place has a real âlocalâ vibe. Great stop for a burger and drink.

Great place, super tasty food, good music. I really liked the double cheeseburger. Without exaggeration one of the best I've had in a long time. Came here because of the praise of others about the quality of the meat and the burgers and I wasn't disappointed. The waiter was really helpful and friendly. Would definitely come back

Went in for to take out food. Ordered and had a beer while waiting. Very nice vibe in this happening Atlantic Ave bar. Inside and outside (in back) seating. Good beer selection. Decent menu. I went with the foot long hot dog, fried and salad. All good. Worth a stop in if you are in the neighborhood!

Very good burgers with fresh ingredients: good bread, perfectly grilled meat and awesome local sauce! All good!

The food was absolutely great. I love burgers and this is one of the best I've ever had. Plus the fries were just right, particularly liked the sweet potato fries. Excellent beer all delivered with outstanding service. And the punch line - all at a reasonable price.

Stopped by here based on the reviews and the fact I really wanted a great burger. The service was good and the staff friendly. I ordered a burger off the menu and it was a good burger... not a great burger. I guess I was expecting a great burger since the name indicates the specialize in burgers. I was surprised they did not ask how I wanted to burger cooked as this is a key to getting a great burger, one cooked to the temperature you like. Anyway, overall a good place for a drink and a burger.

Really like this place. They have very good burgers. Plus, the beer and cocktail list is really outstanding. Decent bar area inside, but the really nice part is a small backyard patio area that is open during warm weather.

Went here just because of the trip advisor feedback and it was worth the visit. I chose the house burger and it was excellent. I visited during happy hour so that meant $6 cocktails and the beer is reasonable too. Would go back again.

Great burger. Ok onion rings, but a great home made sauce to go with. Sat at bar, and a great bartender. Highly recommend a visit here

FINALLY tried Two 8 Two Bar and Burger with my fiance and two good friends and I have to say, I loved it!!! The burgers were a perfect size...not too big, not too thin and cooked and seasoned just right. I had the turkey burger with cheese and for a split second I almost forgot I had a turkey burger.....it was amazing!!! My fiance had the two8two protein burger which is basically two mini patties of beef or turkey wrapped in crisp lettuce and served with two slices of cheddar cheese, tomato, raw onion and two8two sauce. My fiance loved his meal and it's honestly a great option for those who are watching their weight or trying to avoid carbs. The fries (regular and sweet potato) are just as good too. As good as it was, I didn't feel like I pigged out or ate too much, which is a good thing!!! I'll definitely go back, I was very happy with my meal!!!

Staying in Boerum Hill we came across 282 on Sept 15th around 6pm great vibe happening someone's birthday in the backyard I think. We ordered drinks a Margherita and a cider both really good I ordered a half and half burger my partner had a BLT both cooked perfectly and served with a smile.I definitely recommend a visit I only wish I lived in Brooklyn.

I stopped in for dinner on a Wednesday evening. the place was moderately empty. Service was quick and before I knew it I had the double cheeseburger in front of me with fries and a Brooklyn Lager. the burger was tall but not fat which made it a bit easier to eat. It was great, exactly what I was looking for. Tasty, done the way I asked, with flavorful toppings. the fries were good as well. I'd return. No questions asked.

I've been to two8two a handful of times over the years, and have been consistently impressed with the fact that it successfully caters to pretty much everyone you might find in Brooklyn. It's family-friendly, and when we had friends raising small children in the neighborhood this became a frequent hangout, but it's also good for meeting work friends, or for hanging out with drinking buddies. On this visit I was with a bunch of old university friends, and we caught up over pints, a few sippin' whiskies, and eventually burgers and fries. Both the traditional and sweet potato fries are excellent, as are the onion rings. I have never had a burger I didn't like here, but I might steer the burger purist away from the "half and half" burger, which is 50% ground beef and 50% ground applewood smoked bacon (it's great on paper, but surprisingly dry in real life). All in all this is a cool place with a great outdoor seating area, a flexible, knowledgable wait staff, and an overall good vibe. Don't expect edgy, but what two8two does, they do very well.

This is a real Restaurant rather then a burger joint. Basically it is the only we go to out of the many in the hood. Fresh burgers at a great price.

I love this place! Their breakfast burger is to die for. Just wish I didn't have to break the bank to eat here but its so worth it.

Delicious smashed burgers. Don't go looking for a thick pub-style burger. Think more like extra delicious shake shack. On the occasions that I went, it was really loud with a lot of kids, but still enjoyable. More about the food than anything else.

Small burger bar and restaurant. Non pretentious and nice service. All burger creations on the menue sound mouth watering. I ordered a turkey burger to go wrapped in salad without bread. Took them 40 minutes to get the order out although 10 were initially announced. But sometimes such little incidents can happen and the burger was a delight.

The search I did on Trip Advisor said it was closed until 5 pm but, pleasantly for us it was open at 2:00 for lunch. Good burger and reasonable prices. Large portions.

Right across the street from our hotel, they made us a great take out dinner even though they were about to close.

First off the food was great! We had the sweet potato fries with burger. Our waiter was awesome as well, he was fast and friendly.

Went here for a lunch after a lengthy walk through Brooklyn. A cosy place with a wide selection of both burgers and beer. Had a breakfast burger (egg on top of the patty) and a IPA, and both were tasty. If you need a hearty meal and a small pit stop, this is a good place to do so.

We have been here a few times and the burgers and fries are delicious but the main reason I keep going back is the bloody Mary's with, of all things, bacon salt on the rim. The first time I stopped in was because it was raining and we did not have an umbrella. I asked the barmaid if their bloody Mary's were spicy and she told me very and asked if I wanted the bacon salt. I figured it didn't sound to good but what the heck, I'd give it a shot and wow! Do yourself a favor, stop in and ask for one.

We went for a week at Brooklyn and tryed some cool places to eat burger, but from 282 i think was the ones that taste d better. Nice Greek fries too and a very vibrant place with good music! I recommend it if you just not looking only for quantity!

New yearâs day 2022, I had the pub burger with a Cab Sav. One of the best burgers I have ever tasted. Has a nice feel and vibe to it. I highly recommend it if you like burgers with a drink.

I'm not a huge burger person. They are always overcooked and just too much. This place uses amazing meat from butcher shop next door. They cook it medium which meant some nice redness to meat and not overcooked. Soft fresh bun. Craft cocktails. Efficient service and everyone we dealt with was great. Daughter had a milkshake and hot dog and loved it. Their sauce was delicious. I can't wait to go back. The Greek fries with feta were amazing.

We have been coming here for ages. We love their fresh burgers -- small but delicious. Sweet potato fries are yummy. The servers are surly and generally rude. They give you the little plastic cps of ketchup instead of putting a bottle on the table. Why no women servers? Honestly fellas --- you gotta fix this problem.

My second time here as I live in California. This time S my son's favorite lunch place. Delicious hamburgers and sandwiches, a few salads. Daily special is a hamburger and fries for $8. Add other things at minimal cost: .50/cheese $1.50 for 3 slices of bacon. You can sit outside on a beautiful day on picnic tables or inside. Great friendly waitstaff including the owner!

We stopped here for a late lunch around 2:30. The dining room had plenty of tables available. The crowd was family friendly and fun. We ordered burgers, fries, sweet potato fries and chicken tenders. The breakfast burger was one of the best burgers Ive ever had. The beer was fresh and delicious. We will definitely go back. The only con was parking- very tricky to find parking near the restaurant. But the food was so good we will be back for sure. Staff was very accommodating and nice.

Love the customisation you can put into the burgers here, tasted great! Got a free voucher for fries from a lady outside too! Though being so close to Times Sq it wouldn't be great, but actually a great experience - good job!

They have turkey burgers! Good old fashioned hamburgers. Outdoor seating and beer - what more can you ask for!

Went for lunch. The food was delicious -- burger and fries for my husband and a classic hotdog for me. It was an AMAZINGLY delicious hotdog, as the bread had been buttered. We were served water before ordering, which in the summer heat was really appreciated. The atmosphere is relaxed and cool and the place really spotlessly clean.

We stumbled across this little bar whilst in New York recently and what a find it was. Great food, music and staff there's not much more to say.

Ordered the double cheese burger and the half and half burger. Loved the double cheeseburger a lot more although both burgers were solid.

Awesome burger. Totally hit the spot after a long day walking around. Great beer selection and delicious margaritas. Kids loved their food too. Highly recommended.
Mediocre burger
I really felt this place was underwhelming. The burger was rather small, it wasn't very juicy or flavorful, and I walked out feeling very hungry still. The fries were also pretty bland. I would pass on this place if you're looking for a no-frills bar burger.
