Some of our local family members invited us to this place, which apparently goes back 40 years or more in the same location. I read the TA reviews in advance, and they are all over the map; pretty standard for this kind of place. So I think the best thing to do is do the positives and the negatives by category. The positive: This is an old style red sauce palace, which you have to be of a certain age to understand. This is what Italian cuisine often was pretty well into the `80’s. I grew up loving it, and I still do. Lots of pasta dishes with focus on the red sauces and traditional dishes; many sizes and shapes, stuffed and unstuffed. Lots of specialties with veal, seafood, chicken, etc. All the parmesans are here. I saw enough of them at our table to know that they were good, well enjoyed. A small salad or minestrone is your choice of side, although there are lots of side orders. Portions are large and served hot. We loved the happy hour with cheap beer and wines; less than $3 a glass from 2-9. Now that’s a big plus! The most expensive bottle was less than $25. The staff was friendly and efficient; they treated us well. I think the original proprietors still run it. And the prices were very reasonable. I imagine that it has changed very little over the years. And like I said, this was Italian food to me growing up. The negative: The building, the décor, and the seating are dated and tired. It could really use refurbishing, as well as a deep cleaning. The carpet really needs to go. Some of our pastas were overcooked by today’s standards, although mine was al dente like I prefer. There isn’t a big selection of drinks. But make no mistake; at this point refurbishing probably isn’t going to happen. And that’s part of its charm. It’s a retro Italian restaurant with retro Italian food. And I’m totally okay with that. These places continue to disappear, and it is sad. If someone took it over and refurbished it, its history and its value would be erased. So I say, go and eat there. It’s clearly a local treasure and part of an Italian cuisine that is disappearing. The reviews on here are mostly good, and it’s because the food is good too, and reasonably priced. That’s what they’re protecting here, and I say good for them. Gracie mille!

None of us were from this area so I looked on Yelp for a local restaurant and we certainly found one. Other than the staff not being the friendliest we found the lunch quite good. I had the shrimp alfredo which was excellent. Though the salad was rather plain the meal quantities were quite large and prices very reasonable. Décor a bit cheesy but interesting. Would definitely recommend and return if in the area.

My husband and I enjoy the hospitality in the great food at a less expensive price. We would definitely be back. I am a Italian food lover. And my husband lived the weight watchers pasta with the soup. Thank you all. We felt at home!!

This no frills local institution continues to serve Italian classics at moderate prices to hungry neighbors and weary travelers. No worries about blowing up the Expense Account here. Happy Hour featured several house wines and bottled beers for $2.25 or less! Nothing like good food, cheap!

Looks like a family owned place with authentic Italian dishes. It is casual dining so don't expect fancy interior. Good menu selection. Great value. Their portions are almost meant for two adults. So prepare to take home for another meal. Three of us ordered separate entrees and they were all well prepared and enjoyable. Good north Dallas location close the the IMAX cinema. Highly recommended.

I was in the mood for authentic Italian pasta & Two Guys was listed one of the top Italian restaurants in Dallas. Stopped by for lunch, was greeted & promptly seated & served. I ordered the Shrimp Alfredo & it was delicious. I've had pasta that's been dry & skimpy on the sauce, but this was not. The price was very reasonable & the music & decor made me feel as if I was really in Italy. Enjoyed my lunch @ Two Guys & would return.

Excellent service!!! Husband had the lasagna, yum, large portion. I had the seafood fettuccini, it was excellent. Lots of fish, wonderful cream sauce. Very large portion. “Happy hour” 2-9, wine was a nice house wine $2.95 a glass. We would return

We used to be regulars to this restaurant then the portions got drastically smaller, the prices higher, and the quality of the food mediocre. We had not been to this restaurant in many years. Then my husband decided he wanted to go there for his birthday dinner. We all reluctantly obliged. Turns out the restaurant had gone back to the days of great food! The minestrone soup was so good, and I don't even like any kind of vegetable soup! I used to be a chicken marsala enthusiast, but this time I opted for their sampler of lasagna and spaghetti noodles topped with cheese. Both were excellent. Someone ordered spaghetti, and the sauce was to die for. The vegetable tray of carrots and olives are not included in the meal now and had to be purchased separately, but they did not disappoint. The grapes on the ceilings are still there, unfortunately, and make you feel like they are trying to hide "construction-type" defects in the ceiling. They need to really dust those nasty grapes at the very least. The wait person was very good and attentive. We'll be back.

Country Boy In Italia!!! WOW WOW WOW!!! Bread... homemade Meatballs....homemade Lasagna....homemade Wine... oops!!! Not homemade!!! Lol EXCELLENT A!!! Hole in the wall! Country Boy In Italia will be back!!!

Great food and the portions are huge, and cheap. Very good service. We had a veal dish and a pizza, a lot that ended being taken home. Excellent bread and garlic bread. Good and cheap wine by the glass. Will return.

Recommended by the staff at Hilton Garden Inn in Addison - definitely a great choice the lasagna, spaghetti w/meatballs, and ravioli stuffed with beef - each dish was outstanding. Best part of this restaurant was the service as well as a place that you can carry a conversation with someone - definitely going back

It was super cute and the food was pretty good. My server had been there for every but was kind of put offish. Maybe he was having a bad day or something but he said he had worked there for 15 years and looks like he has enjoyed his fair share of free meal ;). It was cute and the food was pretty good, considering I'm a New Yorker who is picky when it come to Italian.

This used to be a good place to eat a few years ago but it has steadily been going downhill for the last few years.

The pizza was delicious and the crust was perfect! Nice home atmosphere and good service. Reasonable prices.

I've been coming here for 30 years and the food is FANTASTIC . Fruiti de mare (fruit of the sea)is one of the best dishes on the menu for seafood lovers. Angel hair pasta, steam clams, shrimp, scallops, and mussels in a white clam sauce with herbs. Tortellini Ala Panna is a must for the richest cream sauce dish. Bet you don't eat it all! Veal marsala is very authentic, Veal Milanese on the lighter side done with butter, lemon, wine, artichokes. Get the minestrone soup, yummy. There's no Campbells soup here, homemade for all the dishes. And the wait staff most have been there 20+ yrs. And mrs. "B" for 31yrs. FOOD AND STAFF IS THE REASON YOU WILL CONTINUE TO COME BACK!!! Dont let the outside fool you♥♥♥

Food was very bad. It tasted like frozen recently thawed .. the condiments and oils were very cheap. Nothing we tasted was good. Nothing was fresh. Don't go.

Great food, inexpensive wine. Have come for lunch for years on visits to aunt and uncle. We just had veal Parmesan and chicken Marsala with chianti. 3 people, $32. Deliciouso!!!

We were in town for a hockey game and wanted to return to this gem. We were here in August and vowed to return. It did not disappoint! Fantastic service and authentic Italian food! We will return!

This place looks like an Italian restaurant from the 50's or 60's. it is not well lit, I drove past it on a Friday night, it is next door to a seafood place that is brightly lit in blue neon. The inside ceiling is decorated to look like a vineyard with chianti bottles representing the grapes. Kind of dated, but so are the menus....most entres were $8.95. A lasagna/spaghetti/Chicken Parmagean special was $10.95 and the portions were good size, not giant size, and not small size. Flavor was good, but you have to like a heavy red garlic marinara sauce. House merlot or chianti by the glass cost $2.25. Not many places left in Dallas where you can eat a full meal with two glasses of wine for less than $20.

I ate here with 2 of my adult kids, the food was terrible. The sauces tasted like flour, the seafood used in the dishes was below par at best. I will not be back.

My Wife and grand daughter and myself enjoyed a great meal on a Wednesday evening. I have frequented this restaurant in the past because it makes the best gnocchi I have ever tasted. But not only does the restaurant have fabulous Italian cuisine, but you can order a glass of wine or a beer for less than $3. The sauce is thick and freshly made -- the meatballs are juicy and obvious cooked properly. The bill for three dinners was around $30. This one is worth your time.

Food is always excellent and consistent. A great Italian meal at a great price and right in the neighborhood.

Affectionally called "Two Guys" by our family for 30+ years, this restaurant has been a mainstay while others have come and gone. We don't go every week or even every month, but each time is a treat. Our children (now in their 40s) and their children never turn down a chance to go to Two Guys; if they have the option, they will probably suggest it. Some of the original wait staff are serving our third generation. TripAdvisor ratings are challenging. We know this is not "excellent" in terms of authentic, "gourmet" Italian (too much good sauce!) or in terms of elegance and formality. I must say I've never heard a complaint!

Came here for lunch. Typical decor you would find at a hole in the wall Italian restaurant. Service was quick. Food tasted great. One could tell the effort goes into their sauces. If you are nearby and in the mood for some pasta...do not past up a meal here.

My daughter and I routinely (pretty much every week) drive quite a bit out of our neighborhood to eat at Two Guys. She loves their Chicken Alfredo - a dish she orders as her 'test' of every Italian restaurant she tries. She tells me it's the best she's ever had and I have to agree it's really, really good. The Chicken Cacciatore is excellent as well but my favorite - which they'll make if you ask nicely and if they're not too busy has got to be the gnocchi in a vodka sauce with some slivers of prosciutto. To top it off, everything is moderately priced, comes with soup or salad and hot rolls and they've been offering a decent glass of wine for $2.25. How could you go wrong?

The restaurant was pretty full on a Saturday evening, but our part of six got in with almost no wait. The restaurant is nicely decorated, and the staff courteous and prompt. The food was not extraordinary, but it was hot, generous-sized portions, and tasted good. I would likely dine there again.

We went here for dinner after a business meeting. We didn’t feel overdressed or underdressed. This establishment has been here since 1979 , I think I overheard. Fast and friendly service. The food was great and we are already thinking about what we want to try next time we come back. Portions are big enough for take home and lunch the next day.

great food, excellent atmosphere, service was very attentive. We will go back next trip, and the trip after that.

A Dallas favorite. Established restuarant . Been around for years. Casual, comfortable place. Daily lunch specials, very good soups and salads to accompany entrees. Nice flavors homemade taste . Inexpensive. Will return.

this restaurant has been around for a long time. It is not a real fancy place, but a great neighbor Italian restaurant. The food is outstanding. I had the shrimp florentine with side of pasta and meat sauce. It was wonderful. This is a place to go get really good Italian food when you don't want to spend big bucks at a fancy place, but want something better than Olive Garden.

Had heard a lot of good reports about this little italian place so we went. Friendly staff and quick service even when crowded. Large array of menu choices. We had cannaloni and eggplant parm. Both very good with large portions. Would certianly recommend if you want good italian food with old school charm

I'd rate it 3.5 stars. We were told it's been there for 40 years and that is evident. Very dark interior. (I asked to raise the window shade for some daylight. ). Dated interior and not fancy. Very friendly and accommodating service. I had the luncheon special. A heaping plate of lasagna, chicken parm and buttered spaghetti. I loved the chicken parm - lasagna was pretty good, too, but I've had better. $8.95. Good value. Companion had the seafood Alfredo ($12.95) which he loved. Followed by tiramisu. Very pleased with each. Served with fresh from the oven bread and choice of soup or salad. Silverware was very clean!

We ended up staying in Dallas as we missed our flight. Tired after 24 hours of travelling we found “Two guys from Italy”. A great experience of really nice genuine Italian food with great service. I did not look much from the outside, but it was busy and clearly people came for the food and service. 5 stars from Denmark 🇩🇰

Two Guys has been around for decades. It's not fancy but they do their best to serve good, fresh, quality Italian food at reasonable prices. They will even work with you to make "off Menu" items if that's what you want. They don't always hit the mark, but they come darn close.

My parents love this place, so for their 50th anniversary, they hosted about 30 of us in one of the private rooms. It looks like something from the past...even the font on the outside sign looks decades old...and the fake grapes and wine bottles hanging from the ceiling are just kitschy enough to be adorable! We had one server, Edgar, for our entire party. Somehow he managed to keep our drinks filled, kept all the orders straight, and made sure we all had a fantastic time. I can't say enough how impressed I was with the service. And there was the food. My parents had chosen 7 items for the menu. Everything looked amazing. At Edgar's recommendation I chose Lasagna. I THOUGHT I had had good lasagna in my life. Nothing compared to this. The sauce, the cheese, everything. I loved it. Everyone around me enjoyed their meals as well. The portions were huge, by the way! I never get dessert, but everyone else was getting dessert and I certainly didn't want to be rude, so I forced myself to order Tiramisu. Now, tiramisu is different everywhere you get it, so I wasn't sure what to expect. But, seriously, how could I expect anything less than spectacular after the meal I had just enjoyed! It was fantastic. Fluffy and popping with flavor. Loved it as much as the lasagna! Oh, and my grown daughter has Celiac Disease. She is so sensitive to cross-contamination she normally avoids eating out. The restaurant assured me parents they'd clean the grill and prepare her safe chicken and vegetables. Eating out for her is always scary, and for the first time in a long time eating out didn't make her feel sick! How nice of them to be so careful for her! It meant a lot to my mom, who worries about her so much. Overall, it was a fantastic evening. I'd recommend this for dinners out, or for big groups. We had the room for 3 hours, which was perfect for socializing with relatives we hadn't seen in years. This was my first time there, but my husband and I definitely plan to go back!

Our hotel clerk recommended this place, boy was she right! We all had the lasagna, soup or salad an Warm bread too Waiter polite an professional, we would have paid DOUBLE! Family friendly, easy to get there also.

Interesting old world Italian restaurant with very good food, attentive service and interesting setting. Very classical Italian menu with pizza. Apparently there are a lot of regulars who frequent this eatery. Parking can be a problem on busy nights.

Wonderful old-School Italian. Cheap lunch specials with nice portions. Very attentive staff. Great for a meal with friends or family!

We ordered take-out. We had the Garlic shrimp. Large portions with garlic bread and salad. It was 1.5 miles from our hotel. I am Italian and I was very satisfied with the food. Tasted great!!! Great place!

I came there after reading reviews while near the area. They far oversold the place in our opinion. Its passable at best, decent meatballs and unfortunately i had a meat sauce by mistake...and i lost the ability to savor a "sauce" Meat sauce is too busy. Cheap...very cheap wine by the glass, is passable only because you want some wine and thats what they have...in small glasses. Bread was very doughy, and overalls a very pedestrian place with very average food, but will do if your hungry and there. There are much better places near there if you want what you THINK you're getting with the reviews you will read.

I have been going to this place regularly since 1978. My husband and I both realized as teenagers who were dating that both of our parents drove across town to take us there. Now we live only a few blocks. I take everyone and anyone there. Very reasonably priced, great selection, and our guests always walk away raving fans. One of my all time favorites.

Went there for dinner with a friend. The cheesy decor hasn't been changed (or cleaned) since the 70s. The booth we were taken to could use some re-upholstering of the vinyl bench. No support whatsoever and uncomfortable to even sit through the meal. The menu has all the standard stuff, but very poor selection of salad and soups, so really nothing for the person who is looking for something a little healthier. Waitress was average, not helpful nor smiling. Took forever to get the check. Once upon a time circa 1975 this was a good place, but not so more.

Last month I had a friend visiting from out of town and we only had an hour or so before heading to the airport, so we chose Two Guys on Webb Chapel for a quick early dinner. We were first seated next to the bar, but the ice machine, or margarita machine, was making the most awful loud grinding noise, so we asked to move as far away from it as possible. Problem solved, still, what a way to start your dining experience! The decor is really dated. I remember coming to the place over 20 years ago, I'm sure those are the same Chianti bottles and grape leaves hanging from the ceiling. It just seems so dark and dusty up there. It's also very dark, not in a romantic candle-lit sort of way, more like a depressing cave. Our waiter and the rest of the staff were very nice and professional. The prices are great, but the food is not. My friend ordered an alfredo dish and it looked like soup, there was way, way too much sauce. My dish was the same, swimming in sauce. Perhaps we should have ordered a pizza. Throwing caution to the wind, my friend ordered desert, the tiramisu. It honestly tasted like it had freezer burn, like it had been sitting uncovered in the freezer and thawed out right before dinner service. So disappointing. I really, really wanted to like this place, I remembered it fondly. Either it's gone downhill or my memory of it is flawed,... probably a bit of both.

Been going to Two Guys for over 30 years. Good hearty Italian food. Garlicky but not too much. Décor has not change since opening. Good food and service

This is the best Italian restaurant anywhere. I've loved Italian food all my life and can not find any better than Two Guys. I love the Tortilini ala panna its the best, the toritilini bolonise is also fabulous. I've had the seafood Alfredo and it is so good I have a hard time choosing. Don't waste your time or money on anything else just saying!!!

Went to this location was disrespected 3 times before even taking my order. I came in to do a togo order. He didn't take my order he walked off to clean whatever. Another person came in after me for dine in he sat the man down took his order and got him a drink came back to me. I started with my order he picked up the phone and started on someone else order. I walked out. I didn't tell scream make a scene. First time at this place and the experience was 💩. I will not be back. Then some hit my car with they car door 🗑️ trash. Smh. Thanks for the hospitality.

This is our go to place when we want a nice quiet dinner. The staff is like family! We are regulars. Great atmosphere, very casual. Terrific service! They start you off with fresh, warm bread and butter. The menu gives a wide variety if Italian dishes, as well as chicken and seafood dishes. The seafood Alfredo is delicious, the lasagna, my sons all time favorite, the meatball sub. One of my favorites is the Pizza! They can make it to your specifications. Dont forget dessert! The cheesecke is perfect! Unfortunately I cannot comment on the other desserts, I always get the cheesecake. The ranch salad dressing taste fresh, homemade. They have offer happy hour. Large selection of wines! I really enjoy this family owned restaurant. The food is always amazing.

My friend said we had to eat here so we went for lunch. The prices were average 6 to 10 dollars a plate. they had different lunch specials daily. The service was fantastic. I had the lasagna, it came with a large plate of bread that was warm and heavenly good. The lasagna was a square that was 4 x 4 and with lots of sauce it also comes with soup or salad. The salad was average and nothing special. But the lasagna was great! I dipped my bread in to the sauce and ate it that way. Not very lady like but very tasty!

It looks like this place has been here for several decades. It has the old vine and wine jug decor from maybe the seventies, but that is what also adds charm. The food is very good Italian comfort food. I like their lasagna or their vegetable pasta plate. Their pizza is great for take home or to eat in the restaurant and their bread is excellent.

I know we were there very late, but the pizza was awful. Very little tomato sauce (maybe they had run out), tasteless cheese and nearly raw onions and green peppers; and, though we had ordered the pizza with meatballs there was little or no sign of them. Even adding the parmesan cheese did not give it any flavor. Sorry, hate to give bad reviews, but as some of the other reviews are good maybe the rest of the food is okay.

Great hole in the wall place. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Would definitely go back. Prices were reasonable.

This is thee Italian place! Cozy tables, candles in the wine bottles, luscious thick lasagna! So fabulous. The oilves are not to be missed.

The last time we were in there, they still had the fake grape vines on the ceiling hanging with 30 years of dust and the carpet had not been changed in that long also...never went back. Too dirty. Hope they have cleaned it up since then. It was longer ago than this app will allow me to choose.

Two Guys is one of our favorites for gourmet takeout. For the two of us we always get two meals out of one order with two entrees and the trimmings. Even when we have friends over for dinner my husband says, "should we order for Two Guys? There food is so great and reasonable and the complexity of the recipes are worth ordering from them." The salads are fresh and compliment the entrees. The Calamari Fritte is a great appetizer, the Seafood Alfredo is a favorite followed by Chicken Ala Siciliana,Salmon Ala Florentine or Chicken Ala Florentine. The Eggplant Parmesan is tasty along with the assortment of flavorful bread. When you think of the time you spend shopping and preparing for a party this is a very easy option with (lots of compliments! Just add some flowers and a beautiful table setting and you have an easy dinner party!!)

Excellent Food, Service, and a Reasonable Price A really good "boat shoe" is one that fits and feels right on either foot." Two Guys is is a really good Italian restaurant. Atmosphere, menu, preparation, portion size, service, pace. All just right.

Very basic and classic Italian dishes that were very good. I had the mostaccioli and it was very good. Portions are huge and prices are not expensive. I joked I bought the most expensive bottle of wine on the menu and it was only $22. The beverage selection was lacking but for the price you got a lot of food, bread and salad included and the waiter was very friendly and took care of our large group with ease.

I enjoy going here occasionally since it is near work. But, that is an understatement since it is the only Italian restaurant that I would chose to dine at. They have some unique entrees, plus the staples. All portions are more than adequate, flavorful, and priced reasonably. I do not normally eat bread, but I make an exception for their neat little dough balls that they bring to the table. Yum

There were several reviews about the declining quality of this property. Nonetheless, since we were staying close-by, we decided to try it. No...it is not a five star restaurant, but it is a wonderful neighborhood place to dine. The "small" antipasto was enormous and inexpensive. It was chocked full of Italian salami of a variety of types, artichoke hearts, oyster mushroom, tomatoes, and various cheeses. The wine menu was limited, but there were four chiantis from which to choose. The minestrone soup was good...not great...but quite nice. The veal scaloppine with spinach was divine!!! It had a spaghetti side to complement the bread dipped in a home made Italian dressing. The terimisu was delicious. There was a full bar. No...there was no luxury, but just wonderful "down home" Italian comfort food that was quite inexpensive.

Visited on 11/07/14 early dinner/late lunch with my Son. Walked in to a pretty old looking open space with chianti bottles hanging from the ceiling. I am old. This looked older. However, we were greeted by a gentleman (whose name I never did understand) who was very polite and helpful and never cracked a smile the whole time. Amazing feat. He brought us WARM bread -- would have good if it was not the nuked variety. (It may not have been nuked, but I couldn't tell by the texture.) HOWEVER, they had these nice, tangy frozen margaritas that were very nice. So after tasting that I had high hope of good stuff on the way. So the first thing was the small salad. Now this was a VERY simple salad. It had store-bought croutons and romaine lettuce, and that was all. BUT, it was so fresh that I don't know how it could have been any fresher. Every piece was crisp and clean and fresh -- and just enjoyable. Yes, it was very simple - but it was good. My Son received his order of penne pasta and meat sauce. It had a savory fragrance and was sort of a light color. His pasta, he said, was cooked just perfectly. I had a quick taste and it was very good to me - maybe just short of being overcooked. That would be very unusual, but I prefer my pasta soft, not al dente. So, actually, I thought that it was very good. The flavors were more toward the savory side, and less veggie tasting -- I also prefer that style of sauce. So then I tasted my own order of angle hair pasta with meat sauce and two meat balls. This came with the pasta again cooked the way I like it -- wonderful. The flavor the the meat sauce was similar (the same?) as the savory sauce that my Son received. The meat balls had a different, very prominent spice that I thought at first might be fennel. However, I am not a big fan of heavy fennel, but I really enjoyed the meat balls - so I think it might have been a different spice like sage or one of those. So, in summary, my Son and I both enjoyed our meal very much. We were alarmed at the nuked bread at first, but the perfect pasta and the aromatic, savory sauces plus the freshest of small salad won us over big time.

This is a great family restaurant. We had a really good meal, the Frutti de mar and the stuffed cannelloni. The meal comes with bread (garlicky knots) salad or soup and the entree. The meals are large so we had enough for lunch the next day. The prices are reasonable. The pizza looked and smelled amazing. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. The meals came promptly and she was attentive throughout the meal.

This restaurant is like a time warp. Suddenly you're back in an authentic 1970s Italian restaurant, munching on pizza. Though their menu has many options, their pizza is the best. Come hungry because there is plenty of food on every plate. Nice to have dine-in service.

I was taken to Two Guys from Italy by a friend. She was reluctant to take me there because I lived in New Jersey for twenty years an I love Italian food. Personally I think it is the best food overall in the world. But that is just my opinion. The place is every bit as Good as New Jersey Italian food. The muscles Marinara was the BEST marinara sauce I have ever had. The Mussels, next to New Zealand Green Lips were the biggest and best I have ever seen. The sauce was so much I used a soup spoon to finish it. The Caesar Salad with Blue Cheese (I know I should have Caesar dressing) was out of this world. Had to have been made an hour earlier. Just the best. My better half had Chicken Teriyaki and it was great. Mushrooms were perfect. I had Chicken Alfredo. I had to bicycle the next day for an hour to make up for it. So rich, so good, so thick. And the chicken breast was perfect. The portions were way too big. Took home enough for four more meals. The Cannelloni had an absolutely perfect crust. But the real fun, was the ceiling. Hanging (fake) grape vines and grapes and hanging wine bottles. Every wall had fresco paintings. It was an experience and the people were so nice.'Built in 1979. Same people own it.

Searched for a place close to our hotel and this place popped up and I can’t tell you how glad we are that it did. It’s quiet, a little romantic, the food is excellent and the prices are unbelievably reasonable and the service; top shelf. We’re coming back.

As said in previous reviews the Margarita machine is extremely load, gave me a headache. The food was ok but the meat sauce wasn't great at all, my body almost didn't let me get back to my hotel fast enough to get rid of it. Will never visit that place again!

Hello 70's decor! Came here with the hubby and my parents for my dad's 90th birthday. We would've chosen a *better* Italian place but sadly few are open on a Sunday afternoon. I walked in ahead of my family and was immediately greeted by the guys standing at the front with a terse and unsmiling "How many?" No hello,or welcome in or anything but that terse "how many". I said it would be for 4 and that it was my dad's 90th b-day. They both looked at me with blank expressions. I assumed I mumbled and repeated it, and got the same looks. In comes my family and we get seated at a table by the front door where the sun streaming in was right in my dad's eyes. He asked them a few times to close the blinds and their only response were more of the blank stares. He was getting mad and I finally just switched seats with him as we weren't getting anywhere with the staff. Though to be fair the place is dark and dreary and the poor schmuck at the front desk probably is desperate for light before he turns into a mole-person. They dropped off the bread ad I took a piece and took a bite. Blech. Stodgy and barely warm. It stuck in my throat. We finally ordered and I started with the mussels marinara, along with the salads and soup that came with our meals. The mussels were decent, though a bit overdone. The sauce was rather good, I thought. No bread came with it, but a good crusty bread would've been lovely. There was no way I was going to use the stodgy rolls already at the table. The salads were boring and mostly the white part of the iceberg lettuce. Hubby's minestrone was fine with a pleasant little kick. My dad got the Frutti Di Mare. It looked a bit sloppy but it was a huge portion. Lucky him, he got the same sauce I had with the mussels. My mom got a simple spaghetti and meatballs dish that she wisely ordered with the sauce on the side. I ordered the Scampi Ala Florentine, my husband the veal version. I thought the sauce was pretty decent, with a good lemony flavor and there was a ton of spinach. The shrimp were huge and there were enough of them, but they were too heavily breaded and were pretty gloppy. All the meals definitely had enough for leftovers. Time for dessert. I asked our non-smiling waiter if he could just give my dad a dish of spumoni with a candle in it as he hates a fuss...another blank stare but at least he nodded this time. My mom and I shared the tiramisu. The tiramisu tasted pretty good but it was almost nearly frozen solid. My dad got the dish of spumoni, which looked like it was probably a supermarket brand, and an off-one at that....no candle. No birthday wishes. No nothing. No one working in this restaurant smiled, not once. What a dreary place with dreary stodgy food. I have a pretty deep love of places that are neighborhood institutions. I also can enjoy the throw-back to the 70's decor collecting dust. The prices are great here for amount of food they give you. But dreadful service from a staff of unsmiling drones who aren't listening to you is just too much for me. Go somewhere else.

Place had been here forever. The red sauce is very robust. The chicken parmigiana is the size of the dinner plate it is served on. The Ranch and Italian dressings are homemade. The Alfredo sauce is rich and yummy. Prices are very reasonable and all portions are large. Have been dining here for 20 years food and service always consistently great!

I was referred to this restaurant by the hotel I was staying at. When I pulled up I almost drove away. The restaurant is nothing exceptional from the outside, it's actually quite plain. But there wasn't much else in the area and it was raining, so I went in. The food was absolutely fabulous. I had the lasagna/spaghetti/chicken parm combo. $11. The portion was huge. I would have expected a smaller portion. The sauce was delicious. I suggest this restaurant Don't be decieved by outward appearances.

Food was great and staff was very friendly. This is a must if you are in this side of town. Had pizza as well as salad and it was amazing

Don't let the outside fool you- it looks are a bit run down but go inside- the dim lit restaurant with plastic grapes and vintage wine bottles hanging from the celing are a nice touch. It's always nice and quiet in the restaurant. The wait staff is boring but have been there a looong time- we seem to get the same lady for the last 7 years. But remember your coming here for the food. Let me start by saying they serve R.C. cola - our favorite. The price is great, everything on the menu is awesome and tastes like homemade (except the sausage for the pizzas) and they serve fresh hot heavy rolls. Alfredo is really tasty too.

Yes, the place looks a little dated as it has endured several decades, and this adds to the charm. We live nearby and go here for a lunch or dinner of Italian comfort food. The prices are very reasonable, the portions are generous and the food is good. They have a bar, and the happy hour margaritas are decent. We have taken friends here for dinner, and everyone really enjoys the homemade dinner rolls...piping hot with soft flakey goodness inside with just the right crunchy crust. My favorite dinner is the chicken fettuccini Alfredo, serverd on a huge plate so there is quite enough to satisfy you for dinner and have leftovers for lunch the next day.

Good food and service keeps me returning even with the 635 traffic being so awful. I've tried several of my favorite dishes from here at other Italian restaurants in been disappointed every time. The portions are usually large enough for leftovers making them a good value as well.

Found this Italian restaurant because it was close to our hotel. Great food! Sauces were outstanding and the veal tender. Prices were reasonable and we will return next week on our return to Dallas.

We had a wonderful time here. Loved the food and service; the atmosphere was amazing. We will come again. Dee

Hubby nd I just moved here to TX and we were looking for a good Italian restaurant, kind of skeptical by the look of it but gave it a try and so glad we did! 2 New Yorker's and this was delish! Service was good too.The Mussels Marinara was as good as Little Italy back in NY! Everything was good! We will be back! Thanks:-)

We love this restaurant especially for take out/ You can order 2 main courses and have enough to easily feed four or two and another meal which makes it an especially good value. They usually include two different types of bread and a great salad. Salmon Ala Florentine, Chicken Marsala and Seafood Alfredo are especially great.

Quaint little place with charming decor (loved the Chianti bottles/wine leaves on the ceiling). Had the Two Guys Special (that’s a ton of food) and the. Lobster ravioli loved both. Happy Hour prices for wine/beer were almost giving it away.

This restaurant has been a staple in the families of many North Texans for nearly 40 years. The meals are inexpensive and plentiful. The decor is a bit kitchy, yet timeless. On a recent trip I have the Gnocchi Romano and it was great. My sister enjoyed the Seafood Fettuccine. This is not your typical chain Italian-like restaurant. It is the real deal.

We found this on google maps. So glad we did! Totally authentic Italian food in great atmosphere. It was nice, quiet with great service. The food was all amazing. When we visit the area again, we will go back for sure!

Two Guys From Italy serves huge portions of enjoyable Italian comfort food. You will likely end up taking leftovers home, and for having paid ~$10 or so for an entree this restaurant is a great value. The atmosphere is a little cheesy, but in a good way. Stereotypical Italian old-time songs play in the background, and the ceiling is adorned with a combination of wine bottles, wax grapes and plastic green leaves. :-) The atmosphere is quiet, and very conducive for a business mtg or a quiet dinner set up for relaxed conversation. The staff has always been attentive and receives high marks.

It's been 8 years since I last visited Two Guys... While only one of the guys was there, the food was still fantastic! Try the lasagna with mushroom sauce and chicken tetrazzini... Both are out of this world. PS - The place still looks like my Grandma's basement, complete with Chianti bottles and plastic grape leaves hanging from the ceiling. This is definitely a candidate for a FoodTV "Restaurant Makeover" show!

Two Guys has been around Dallas for many years. It's a very unassuming place and far from "fine dining". That said, it's consistent and good for a reasonably priced Italian meal. They have a few unique dishes on the menu and my new favorite is Chicken "Ala Siciliano". A sauteed chicken breast in a sauce with zucchini and red peppers that was delicious. Great to sop up with the fresh bread sticks they bake." Their other dishes are consistently tasty and reasonable and generous. Don't expect elegance, but do expect a hearty meal in a comfy slightly kitschy atmosphere. My partner remarked that this place is what chain restaurants like Buca De Beppo aspire to look like, but here it's real.

Wonderful Seafood Alfredo and Fettuccini De Mare. We moved away from Dallas several years ago, but we find excuses to go back to eat lunch at 2 Guys. It's my favorite place in Dallas. Great service, food, management, and prices!

We enjoyed a very well prepared meal in the back room as part of a group meeting. It was incredible how one waiter managed to keep everyone happy, and the food was quite tasty and served hot. Many had pizzas, but I opted for the chicken pasta and my wife had salmon. The ceiling is very fun, with plastic grapes and wine bottles filling every square inch. The tables had typical plastic red and white patterns consistent with old Italian restaurants. Parking is sparse in front, but more in the rear. We'll be back.

Always good. Milanese outstanding. Pasta with Herbs and garlic. The best. Pizza was good too. Always a good meal with great salad

The food is excellent. I have been going ti this place since 1980. The consistency and the service has not changed. It is by far my favorite. I'm from New York City and believe I know Italian food,

Great place great food and great service. I enjoyed the calamari and the eggplant parmesan. Very reasonably priced and accommodating for small or large groups. Wonderful Italian food.

I stumbled across this place during Texas winter storm Uri. I walked in and was graciously greeted. I ordered a veggie pizza, mixed vegetables, baked mostaccioli and shrimp Alfredo. I knew I would be unable to leave the house for at least 5 days. I never went into the dining area but it seemed pretty casual. I got my food pretty quickly. Sidebar: I'm a Golden Girls Stan and this must be what Sophia was cooking for the girls. IT WAS BEYOND SCRUMPTIOUS. The baked mostaccioli was smothered in cheese and lasted for days without compromising taste. The collosal shrimp was incredibly fresh and breaded in something that gave it a unique taste. I am not sure if it was because I waited to eat. The veggie pizza- wowzers I can't believe I have been suffering through Papa John's this long. These ingredients were actually fresh and each slice had a heaping pile of veggies. Lastly, the mixed vegetables. It was in theory nothing spectacular- just broccoli, zucchini, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms sauteed and placed on a bed of angel hair pasta. BUT I was in heaven... The seasoning, the freshness, nothing was over cooked and everything looked succulent and it was almost guilt free eating as I do work out regularly and try to watch my diet when there isn't a catastrophic storm. The bread sticks tasted as if they were made fresh daily but the garlic bread was just okay. I was disappointed that they didn't make their own cheesecake. I went back once more as things took longer to return to normal than I thought. It was just as delicious as before. They remembered me ( I do have blue & green mermaid hair lol) and it was a warm covid friendly greeting. These two guys from Italy made me feel so special you can tell the cook from the heart. Do yourself a favor, take the entire family and wears stretchy pants. BTW- yes Sophia is a real person lol

Was there recently, my first time, with a group of about 30 for a wedding rehearsal dinner. Our server was incredible; every order was right and served quickly. The drinks were great; pretty much anything you can imagine you would like to drink. For our party we had choice of fettuccine alfredo, lasagna, chicken parmigiana, pizza, etc. Lots of choices for such a large group! No matter which entree they chose, everyone was well pleased with their meal. Even the rolls, great selection, were great. I can't say enough about this place. Eat there!

Great company...did not help the fact that this restaurant is a "make believe Italian eatery". The chianti had an acceptable taste. The food of stromboli (acceptable), chicken alfredo (too milky), veal scallopini florentine (little flavor) and Pesto spaghetti (too oily, lacking in flavor) was priced moderately but lacked real Italian quality or flavor. The bottles hanging from the ceiling seemed dusty and old. Note: No sign of Italian "Two Guys". This is a call to local Italians living in the Dallas community...."please give this city the Italian food it deserves". Thanks for reading. The Bike Chaplain

AMAZING food! It was so delicious and filling. The pizza was a little greasy but the veal parmigiana was perfect! Friendly staff and vineyard feeling.

The place looks old /dated , but that's because it is. But you you go for the food . Which is still going strong 30+ years. One of my favorite comfort food places.

I have only had the pleasure of eating at Two Guys From Italy twice. Both times I ordered the daily specials and both times I could not have been happier. Absolutely terrific food at very reasonable prices. The house wine is nothing special, but drinkable. The decor is nice without being overly fancy, and the service very good, as well. If I still lived in Dallas, this would be one of my regular stops.

Friendly, inviting atmosphere, great service, classic italian food. Extensive menu with all the traditional dishes and some house specialties at reasonable prices. The seafood pasta with shrimp, scallops and crab was served with a light well seasoned cream sauce. Minestrone soup was flavorful with mixed vegetables served with yeasty bread. A great choice for lunch or dinner.

I have been eating at Two Guys From Italy for over 15 years, and even now that I no longer live in the area, we make a special trip to eat there from time to time when visiting Dallas. The food has a homemade fresh taste, nothing seems to have that store-bought flavor like many of the chains serve up. The decor is a bit dated, but the food makes up for it. Portion size is great, you will probably need a doggie bag. Try a pasta sampler plate, you will find a favorite dish.

Great food and service. Had a great meal at a great price. Good sized portions and delicious authentic Italian food.

So it seems a little dark sometimes, So there are Chianti bottles hanging amongst the overhang of grape vines, so what? It all adds to the charming ambiance of this little Italian restaurant. Personally we found it quite charming, with excellent service and excellent food in massive proportions. (Consider if you will, one of us is a Certified Master Chef, so we have a pretty good idea of quality food when we taste it.) So to all those who complain about the decor, if you don't like it, don't go. We thought it was charming, and reminded me of a couple of the little Mom-and-Pop places I visited in Italy during my Seminary training.

Do you like bread fresh out of the oven? How about butter? If so, this place is the place for you. Big portions of Italian food coupled with very friendly service is the way this restaurant operates. Oh, the decor is not upscale but that's okay because it has plenty of personality.

The décor is cheesy but is cool also. Chicken parm is swimming in red sauce that is robost. Servings large enough to split. Excellent wait staff that has been there for years. Homemade salad dressings.

Unfortunately, this was a big miss in Dallas. We wanted pasta at a casual restaurant with some local charm. The parking lot was small. The decor was dated, with plastic bottles of chianti hung from a lattice mounted to the ceiling (with vines and grapes). All I could think of was dust. The booth cushions were worn down. We sat next to the prep area, allowing us to view the bread bin, salad prep, etc. Our waitress was sweet but was very quiet and unfamiliar with the menu—and the beverage selection. The bread was yeasty and bland. The olive oil was lifeless, as was the very finely grated Parmesan in the shaker. Salads were served in woven wood bowls and consisted of a dressed American mix (over-watered). The house dressing was a tasty Italian. Mini croutons (reminiscent of those cellophane-wrapped ones from Ponderosa in the 80’s) were toppers. I ordered mostaccioli with meat sauce and received baked mostaccioli instead (their baked is stirred with ricotta and topped with mozzarella)—fair at best. Pasta slightly over. The chicken Alfredo was better, with nicely trimmed meat cooked spot on. The pasta was again slightly over and the Alfredo was gooey. Still, decent. Both entree portions were very generous. The Tiramisu was a winner, and assembled to order (ladyfingers drenched with warm coffee topped with frozen whipped cream and dusted with cocoa). Regrettably I cannot recommend this restaurant. Waitress was again nice, but needs a lot of training. She apologized for the mistake on my entree, but she clearly needs help. No manager came to our table (I did not ask). I urge these folks to train their waitstaff, upgrade the decor, reduce visibility of their prep area, and focus on quality.
Love Love Love!
I used to go here with my fiancé over 25 yrs ago, we went back recently and it did not disappoint! Wine and beer specials after 2pm cannot be beat! gnocchi was homemade and amazing! What great memories! Thank u!
