Great service & ambiance!

By Monike R |

We dined on 4/25 and our server Gabby was great. We must have asked her a hundred questions about the menu and she answered each one knowledgeable and patiently with a bubbly tone. The zero zen was the best thing we ordered. I barely tasted it and right away it exploded with flavor, yummy! Wasn’t a fan of the oysters, wouldn’t have minded the more traditional ones with cocktail sauce. Overall it was great!

Excellent , extraordinary, exquisite

Every plate is so tasty, so wonderfully presented and fresh. A must go if you like Japanese food. Service on point!

MUST Go...

By Corey R |

I am not a fan of long waits and lines for restaurants. This place would give the appearance of free sushi... just show up and we will feed you. They only take reservations and are usually booked solid. To see the number of people waiting proves two things - 1: the food is worth waiting for 2: People dining are in no hurry to finish and leave. This will be a "MUST Go" every time I am in Miami moving forward. Personally, I think it is better than Nobu down on S.Beach

Delicious but portions are tiny

By Federica |

The food is delicious and the menu variety is good - you'll find many options to choose from. The place is nice, crowded but pleasant. There is a private room with around 5 tables to enjoy dinner more quietly. I am giving just 3 stars because portions are way too tiny. To get enough food, you'll need to order many dishes and that makes it too expensive. In 2 we paid $180, but to be honest... I went to grab more food later since I was still hungry. They should definitely be more generous with portion size.

GREAT food & GREAT service!!

By Jambo |

Food is excellent, we just followed guidance of our waitress as we always do when we go to Uchi. Reasonable prices and GREAT service. You guys rock!!

Amazing ❤️

One of my forever favorites is UCHI in Wynwood, I love their food and the creativity, yesterday we went for Happy Hour and of course we were not disappointed, it is one of the best Happy Hours in Miami! You have happy hour drinks and cocktails but, we love the 50% off all sparkling wine and champagne, therefore we enjoyed a couple of bottles of the Bouvet Brut Rose’, amazing deal 🥂 In my opinion the food is the real highlight, I just love it, we had Oysters with Passion Fruit & Cilantro, Wagyu Yakitori, this comes on a skewer so you just slide it off into the lettuce leaf and eat it like a lettuce wrap, so good. Then we had Yokai Berry and Sakana Tempura, both of these really really good, the Crispy Rice only has vegetables but super tasty, and the Walu Walu it melts in your mouth, all really amazing. We also tried a couple of rolls, the Sake roll and the Akami roll and these are good but I find all the small tasting dishes more interesting than the rolls. Maybe the rolls options should be more creative in the HH menu. In any case, everything is really amazing, I really highly recommend it but remember to make a reservation as it is not easy to get a table @uchi_miami @cheftysoncole For more of my favorite restaurants, places and more, like my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or follow me on Instagram @naddias_favorites

Tasteful!

By T w |

This restaurant is fantastic! There a classic Japan dishes but also dishes with a twist. It was original and very tasteful. It wasn’t too noisy and the interior was very nice. We like it a lot!

Best experience if you have dinner inside

By Andrea B |

Well this was nice surprise in terms of food. Really high quality and taste of the all meal. We really enjoyed the variety of our plates. We did enjoyed the service that was really nice. I didn’t like the location, they put us in the dehor which was not a proper dehor but just tables on the sidewalk just out side the restaurant with no decor and the view on the entrance of a building. The interior was way more cozy and they did not ask for the choice before reservation and on the arrival.

Japonés top en Wynwood

By Sergei PT |

Modernized Japanese restaurant with tables inside and chairs in the sushi bar. Super atmosphere and good service. The spectacular food, we order an Omakase that you say how much you want to spend, and the waitress puts together a menu. Spectacular.

You should try this place

By Mark |

Great food, great service. A little expensive, but worth it for a special occasion. Don’t miss the halibut or the mushroom nigiri.

Excellent service Fabulous sushi !

By Ayo |

The food the service ! Outstanding! I am celiac and I had no problems ordering anything from the menu. The waiter was knowledgeable and very friendly. The restaurant is always busy it seems as soon as one table was emptied it was filled back up again. My husband doesn’t eat fish but he tried a few dishes and he is now converted ! The food is served tapas style so you will have to order many different dishes depending on your appetite.

Food awesome but.........

By CMCFLORIDA1 |

So we found this restaurant while traveling in Dallas and was so excited when they opened in Miami. We’ve gone a few times and have loved it. I’ve recommended it to all my friends, however the last time we went, we were surprised that they allowed dogs in. I love dogs, but not while I’m fine dining. I just feel that it’s just a little unsanitary to have a pet sitting, scratching, shaking pet hair in the air while I’m eating, especially raw food. Now I may be the minority especially considering the current climate, but I’m sure no one would want a cat or ferret or any other domesticated animal a common practice in upscale restaurants. I have no issues when there is space outdoors for pet owners to dine but it’s a no on inside dining for me…I’m hoping this is not common practice as I really LOVE the food, ambiance, and staff.

Amazing and creative food, friendly and knowledgeable service, operationally challenged.

By Dr Z |

Would give this the lowest rating based on our initial experience. Had to wait 40 minutes to be seated. No place to sit. No place at the bar. Barmen too busy to serve you. Hostesses who didn’t want anything to do with you ..I guess stressed they were 45 minuted behind. They need to fix this type of delays and they need to train the hostess staff better in how t deal with this in a friendly and informative matter. The first tempura we got were not hot, the Japanese pumpkin all breading almost no pumpkin. Don’t order that. Everything after that was amazing, the crudos, the nigiri’s, the sashimi, the sushi rolls, the chicken, all excellent, creative, innovative, tasty, and our server Roald was very knowledgeable and friendly, so that helped us recover from a pretty lousy start. That’s why I gave a four not a one….

Omakase Menu Review

By JSuth2000 |

Our party of 6 went all out on the Omakase menu at Uchi to get the full experience I gotta say I was very impressed with it, I believe we got ten courses but they there in an extra one or two for us. In all the service was great and the quality was excellent. Some of the dishes were really over the top and savory but I found the sushi for the most part to be just good. I left wanting a bit more for the $290 per couple. Had some awesome desserts at the end I wished I snapped a photo of. The highlight was the toro for me, the octopus, the egg custard crab, and this spicy pomegranate yuzu yellowtail I think which was to die for. The restaurant inside was very modern and had good vibes. I'd go again and maybe focus on maybe 3-4 dishes instead of all the bites but it's definitely worth going back to and trying again!

Mind blown

By AFoodieDMV |

Mind blown. Period. That’s my review. Visited Uchi Austin in 2018, which left such a memorable impression on me that I was so giddy when I heard this location opened. FINALLY was able to get a reservation and boy did it not disappoint. 1. Such a pleasant experience from arrival to departure. Thank God there’s ONE restaurant in Miami where the hostess doesn’t need to have an attitude or some undeserved God complex wielding the mighty power of control. Honestly over that. So elated we were helped by Dorothy. She couldn’t have been nicer, more helpful nor more adorable. Made our night and was so thoughtful in some choices for us. 2. Great vibe/ambience. 3. Still don’t understand why it has been so difficult to get a resy. Half of the restaurant was empty, which was surprising even on a Sunday night. 4. No words for the food. Everything is delicious, fresh and amazing. Favorites: *uchi g&t - I’m a gin girl so this was delish. I opted for soda on the 2nd round instead of tonic. I like the touch of yuzu. *edamame - grilled to perfection. Completely spoiled me and I can never eat them steamed, again *hama chili - perfect balance of spice and sweet/tart with yellowtail *kinoko nabe - don’t sleep on this rice/mushroom amazing dish *cauliflower - out of this world. Sauce is epic *all of the sushi (nigiri) was fresh and delicious. Happy they had all versions of toro. *do NOT miss Gyutoro. Looks weird that it’s on the sushi side but 72-hr short rib is a MUST HAVE *DESSERT - couldn’t decide so we had the banana cake & the fried milk. I’m not a huge dessert person but I’d come back just for those. Eat the little fried donuts first with the fried milk - pop of flavor. The caramel with the banana cake should be bottled up! Will definitely be back & add Uchi in a regular rotation.

Yummy yummy!

By Leidy G |

Where do I start, by far one of the best restaurants in miami. The service was perfect, the food was just to die for and the drinks are on point. We went for happy hours with a couple of friends and I been just counting down my next visit. Give it a try you will not regret! Prices are not the cheapest but the food honestly backs up the prices.

UCHI 😍

By ChefLion3444 |

Hands down one of the best restaurant in Miami. The food and service A+ great selection of Sashimis and unique presentations. Sushis is amazing as well. MIMI was a rockstar with her hospitality and genuine care.

Amazing

By Galaxy Traveler |

Such great food, quality and service. Unlike most sushi places, Uchi brought our plates on one by one. Made the experience so much better. Avery was awesome! Highly recommend if in south beach.

Excellent

By AMBO |

Very nice location, mixed audience, cheerful atmosphere - even with the staff. Absolutely great food: Quality, presentation and taste. Best grilled edamame ever 🏆 Toller Service (thanks Helen) Come back!

Not enough staff, but good food once it eventually arrived, a problem with their calculation if service charge/tip.

By WSP |

Although the quality of food was very good, unfortunately they did not have enough serving staff and the lady who served us was accompanied by a trainer. They were both very nice and I have no complaints whatsoever about the quality of service by the two people concerned. However, one of our main courses, a halibut dish, did not arrive at all and so we had to cancel that. And the desert was incredibly late. Nit enough staff that night. They did take it off the check. A major problem which I found when I got the bill was that the automatic calculation of service charge was completely wrong. My bill was $162 - and at the foot of the check there was a calculation for the usual 20% service charge and rather than $32 this was listed as $40. The same miscalculation applied to 18% and 25%. Is did leave 20%, but when i checked on ny card they removed the 20% and just charged me 162. I would go back just to see if things were better.

Our favorite Japanese restaurant in Wynwood, Miami

By J_Jammy |

This place has fresh and tasty Japanese food. We were there for happy hour between 5 and 6:30. The sushi seating area and bar area filled up quickly. We had booked a table. We have been here multiple times and a couple of staff members came around and said ‘welcome back’ - I think that was a nice touch. Cocktails-We had the house sake to start with.. food: Nigris - salmon, tuna - just melt in your mouth. Hot dishes - crispy rice, red curry halibut -both good but the halibut was just 4 tiny pieces - not worth the $12 they charge. Makimoto (sushi) - soft shell crab was just awesome. We tried the shrimp tempura - good but a bit oily. To finish we had a scoop of the homemade milk ice cream. Which is a must here. Just to conclude the food here is phenomenal and the quality stays fresh and consistent.

Amazing food. Flavors completely different. This is the second time eating there and it’s always delicious. All my friends loved my recommendation. Definitely I’ll go back.

Outstanding Sushi and Service

By industry person |

What a great experience overall. The sushi, hot food and deserts were all great. Our Server, Shun, was very attentive and friendly. spicy tuna roll, pork belly sushi and blue fin chutoro were all great.

Was traveling for work in miami, but dined for personal reasons/on my own dime

By Curious35498113486 |

After loving my experience in Austin, TX at Uchi, I decided to try the Miami location. I had an amazing experience and can confirm that the brand has a consistent quality of food at all of there locations. Enough to make me want to try in every city!

Great food experience!

By Steven Sky |

As soon as you enter the restaurant you are blown away by the design and atmosphere. The menu has a good amount of different dishes to suit all tastes. I'll be back to try other items on the menu.

Terrible restaurant

By Javier M |

Terrible! The food is way overpriced, low standard and slow service. Mercedes (manager) and Sebastian (waiter) were unable to resolve even simple comments / suggestions.

Trendy, pricy, small portions - poor value

By Ted |

A hot chic place in Miami always crowded. Ambiance is good, food is good but the portions are tiny (what would be one piece of sashimi at any other restaurant is sliced so thin that it becomes a five piece portion) but prices are sky high. Service is Miami - so, so. Kind of a sushi samba knock off with their spicy sashimi appetizers but not worth the price.

First time visiting! Delicious food and great service by Kim at the bar , if you are looking for Japanese food this is the right place 🔥🔥

Deabasto on the menu

By Chucha5 |

Our reservation was at 21:00 hrs. It took the waitress quite a while to ask what we'd drink. Then he left the menu and took his time to take the order. We placed our order, and within minutes he came back telling us that dumpling was no longer available as it is one of the best selling dishes and it is Saturday so the demand was great. So we exchanged for a hotstone, they brought us all the dishes, one by one, and at the end we told her that we were missing the hot Stone t tells us that she asked us an apology but she was no longer available (that they can not do their calculations if it is Saturday or another day of the week ?) but that she was going to send us complimentary two meat nigiris. Which we told him we didn’t want to but that we asked to speak to the “mother.” Which very kindly came to the table to give us an apology and present us with some cards for future consumption. The nigiris, offered by the waitress, arrived and brought a piece of meat identical to the one with the hot Stone. So we didn't understand if there was no meat or no stones or what. The unpleasant thing was, in addition to the lack of product on the menu, that half of the dinner was spent managing the problem instead of having a pleasant time. It should be mentioned that the last reservation the restaurant has is 10:30 pm and the restaurant was not full.

Booking the nightmare

By Jet11973435135 |

Making a phone call to place a reservation was a nightmare. I have been on the phone getting transferred from one assistant to another for 12 minutes just to reserve a table. And then I found out that the reservation was done inaccurately. I ask for a specific hour, they confirmed and when I called again (the communication got missed) they apologized saying that was a miscommunication and my reservation has to be placed 30 minutes later. This is not rocket science. Is just a table on a restaurant. 12 minutes on the phone?? and all this mess at the end? please take a look on the staff you are hiring. Thay are far away from being efficient. Plus give them a proper training in the meantime. Best regards,

Excellent

By trackeritrack |

The sever makes the difference. Alexis was the difference. The beef tartar, beef hot rock and beef short ribs excellent. The peppers were average. Overall great service and attitude

Not Quite there Yet. But will try again

By RealfoodfanMiami |

It was and excellent experience the restaurant is great in atmosphere. However i would stay away from the Tasting Menu, even thou we have gotten great reviews from people on individual plates. The actual tasting menu is quite dull, not a lot of flavor there. And definitely not the best culinary experience for the price. However there was one highlight the crab and lobster plate was quite awesome. Its pricey so be mindful of that.

Fantastic

Foodgasmic! Every single course, every single bite was simply amazing. I ordered maybe 5 dishes including dessert and really enjoyed it. Ambiance was great and staff was prompt and courteous

One of my top 10 meals ever

By Ray P |

Wow!! Every dish was outstanding. Our server (Stephanie) was wonderful. And I learned to eat sushi by flipping it upside down so that the fish hits your tongue first. Who knew?

Incredible!

By TJStack |

Exceeded our highest expectations! From the moment we walked in we sensed a positive vibe in the air that never diminished. Attitude of every staff team member was outstanding. Our waiter, Jay, made several menu suggestions. We had the following: Cauliflower, the hot tasting with cashews, curried golden raisins, fried cauliflower with gruyere cheese. A5 Wagyu beef Hot Rock, which we seared on a hot stone, amazing Wagyu A5 beef with ponzu dipping sauce. Halibut with shitake crust, coconut beurre blanc foam and hazelnuts! Oh my Avocado nigiri with tamari and kosho! Soft shell roll with avocado, pickled cucumber, cilantro fried soft shell crab, togarashi and soy aioli! Snow crab nigiri with brown butter and maldon salt. Each dish provided an outstanding assortment of flavors to please the palate. We both agreed that Uchi provided one of the absolutely best dining experiences we've ever had!

Happy hour menu

By AM |

We booked a patio table, and our lovely waiter let us know about the happy hour menu. The food was delicious, and the price was incredibly reasonable. Easily our best meal of the trip.

Good but very pricey .

By Gargantua |

We came here for their famous happy hours but not convinced by the selection of very very small portion and drinks . The vibes are cool with great decor and good music . Service was good . Very expensive sushi place .

Above and Beyond!!!

By Skyler305 |

We went for dinner last night and this was hands down the best meal we have had in a while. From walking in, to being greeted by a lovely host, and being sat promptly. Our server Stephanie was at our table saying hello within 2 minutes. She explained the menu in detail highlighting signature dishes and her favorites, along with some Beverage options. We started with sake and champagne and finished with red wine. The dishes were all unique and each had there explosions of flavor leaving you speechless on what to expect from the next dish. Not one dish was to heavy. She recommended us trying everything as is and was she right. There was no need for soy or wasabi, the dishes spoke for themselves. The way the food arrived to the table was a skill in itself. Oysters so fresh and light then Ora King with just the right amount of heat, then a madai crudo with pear that refreshed the palate. Nothing is to be missed and I’m already thinking about my next visit. The managers were on point table touching and checking in to make sure we were having a grand time. When I think of sushi, Uchi is all that comes to mind now, Bravo.....

Coming back soon

By CJ |

I had a very good experience visiting the place for first time. The server was very attractive and the time was great. Only point was the steak too salty, server did not help much, but otherwise, was excellent.

Very good!

By Manuela Fleury |

The uchi food is very tasty. The service of the waitress responsible for our table was very good. The environment is well-groomed and nice. I found the price a little too high, but I recommend and would return.

Outstanding! You must try their special dishes!

By jokome |

Uchi continues to be, in my opinion, the best restaurant in Miami. The dishes are outstanding in flavor, balance, and freshness. A huge snub by Michelin, Uchi is unarguably deserving of a star. Talk about consistency & high quality……Uchi exemplifies that! Every single time we have eaten at Uchi we have had a “wow” experience. 8 DELICIOUS DISHES NOT TO MISS: 1- MADAI CRUDO (Japanese sea bream, myoga, Asian pear) 2- SAKE TORO CRUDO (salmon belly, lychee, ginger, passion fruit zu) 3- HALIBUT (romanesco, shiitake mushroom, coconut beurre blanc, hazelnut) 4- UNI (Sea Urchin) 5- HAM & EGGS (pork belly katsu, egg yolk, beer mustard) 6- WALU WALU (oak-grilled escolar, yuzupon, candied citrus, myoga) 7- MASU POM (ocean trout, pomegranate zu, gooseberry) 8- CHAYOTE CEVICHE DESSERTS NOT TO MISS: 1- JASMINE CREAM 2- COCONUT TAPIOCA 3- FRIED MILK (don’t be fooled by the “common” name. It is perfect and absolutely delicious).

World Class Sushi is welcome to Miami

By James Frinzi |

When you think of sushi, you think of dragon rolls, California rolls, and the like. This is not that. Uchi is the most creative, unique, fun, and amazing sushi experience available. Chef Tyson Cole is the “Jose Andreas” of the sushi world. I promise that if you go to Uchi, you won’t just have dinner, you will have an experience. Also, I recommend you let your waiter make recommendations. You will be introduced to things you’d never expect, and regret if you missed out. The cocktails and desserts are just as inspired. You really can’t go wrong. The Tapioca dish is perhaps the best dessert I have ever had. The atmosphere is amazing, and Uchi is set in a very cool and unique area in Miami.

Simply amazing

By Ev R |

I am truly surprised about amount or reviews this spectacular place has! But probably it is for the better because it is already hard to get a reservation there:) The service is always on point, you can't go wrong with any food on the menu. You can literally choose with your eyes closed and you will love it!!! The chef and his team definitely took their time to create some sort of "layers" in all of their menu items to enjoy multiple tastes coming one after another while you are chewing. This place is a true art and the whole team is full of gorgeous young people who perfectly know what they are doing and love their job. We are not even going to start talking about desserts cause it is gonna take another 20 minutes for you to read. I wish you guys to gain all possible and impossible rewards in the world because you deserve them all. Just make sure you will always have a space for us to seat:) With love, Lucas's Family

Megacool and delicious

We had the signature menu for two with 8 courses. All delicious and really great prepared. At happy hour accompanied by a bottle of Cremant at half price. Absolutely cool atmosphere right at the counter with personal contact person / sushi cook. All very nice. Uncomplicated schedule change via the website. Location very close to the iconic graffiti of Miles MacGregor. Our Miami highlight!

Great Food, Great atmosphere - Terrible front of house customer experience

By Escape09785581136 |

I arrived around 5pm having called earlier to check a solo walk in was okay. This is the basis on which as a visitor from overseas I took a 30min uber ride to Uchi for dinner.I was then greeted by staff who said that the sushi bar was fully booked and there would be a 2 to 3 hour wait. I spent some time discussing with the front of house staff and a manager and eventually they gave me a seat as long as I promised to leave it within 45 minutes and move to the bar area (no sushi or chefs but you can eat there). As I was travelling alone I agreed to this. I rushed my food which was very good sushi and very good quality. I then moved to the bar to have a final plate of sushi and a drink- there was very little atmosphere vv sitting at the sushi bar with the chefs serving you. What really annoyed me was the seat that I vacated and the one next to it that I had to vacate for another customer booking - was still free an hour later - Why was a rushed so much ? I did raise this with the same manager and front of house staff and they were just VERY sarcastic and said the 'customer must be running late' Wow they must be a VIP for Uchi to keep the seats that long with so many other customers waiting or like me being rushed. I felt very patronised and ill treated unlike my great experiences at Uchi in Dallas - The staff did not care AT ALL. I gave generous tips to my chef and waitress but after a month nearly I have reflected on how I was treated and wanted to ensure the senior leadership read this and talk to their staff about their condescending attitude - at least in my experience. The food was excellent, expensive but quality 6*, the sushi bar service excellent - the Front of House was terrible and I would give a 1/10 for customer service pre and post dining for the lady and her manager. Until I am assured of a non reoccurrence of this attitude - I will not be visiting again.

Disappointed.

By Alexander A |

I usually come to Uchi for the experience, but this time it was the complete opposite. Unfortunately, Roy -- the sushi chef we were seated with -- turned what should have been a special evening into the worst dining experience I've had there. Instead of guiding us through the menu and tastings, he gave us short, dismissive answers. When we asked for recommendations, his response was a smirk and "everything," followed by walking away. His attitude was condescending, unhelpful, and unprofessional. When I stepped away to speak with a manager, his immaturity showed even more as he started joking around and laughing with his friends behind the bar. Dining at Uchi is supposed to be about connection, discovery, and enjoying the artistry of food. Once that energy is ruined, the experience is gone. I asked to be moved away from him, but by then the evening was already soured. It's such a shame, because I've been before and the bar staff has always treated me incredibly well -- truly a "chef's kiss" experience. But sitting with Roy was the complete opposite: bad energy, lack of professionalism, and no sense of hospitality. I won't be coming back for a while.

Amazingly good!

This is the 3rd Uchi we have visited after Denver and Dallas. They have been all memorable dining experiences and Miami ws not the exception. The food is awesome, service was very nice and the ambience very chic. Beautiful place! We are looking forward to be back!

It is my second time here and it has for sure become one of my favorite restaurants in Miami, the food is delicious thanks to Chef Tyson Cole one of the few Americans sushi masters, really amazing food , I really highly recommend it ❤️ We went for Happy Hour which is a great way to taste a lot of different dishes from the main menu and have an idea of what you might like, I have to say we LOVED it all 😋 Happy Hour is a great deal, there is discounted wine, sake, beer and cocktails but I think that the ½ off all sparkling wine & champagne bottles is incredible, we had Bouvet Rose, really great, so great that we had 4 bottles 😉 we were a large group and celebrating a birthday, so………………..don’t judge us 😂🥂😂 We chose a lot of different dishes so we could try more, here is what we had : Oysters, Sake Nigiri, Yokai Berry, Hamachi Maki, Hasami Age, Crispy Rice, Hama Chili, Smoked Maki, Walu Walu, Wagyu Skewer all very delicious and to finish we shared 3 dessert, the Ice Cream Sando, the Jasmine Cream and the warm Banana Cake, my favorite was the banana cake, sooooooooooooo good 😋😋😋 The atmosphere is also very good and the service too, we will be back for sure @uchi_miami @cheftysoncole For more of my favorite restaurants, places and more, like my Facebook page Naddia’s Favorites or follow me on Instagram @naddias_favorites

Absolutely horrible service!!!

By Roving175739 |

This was the most horrible experience and absolutely the worst service ever. Waited by the name of Michael was extremely rude and unprofessional. His attitude completely ruined our evening and I will never go back to this restaurant. Definitely will not recommend this place!!!!!

Sushi deluxe

Very high quality. Every dish is perfection. Portions are very tiny. Just a note or two. Service is attentive and waiters very knowledgeable. A lovely experience.

Uchi is my favorite Japanese restaurant in Miami (and Denver, Houston, Austin, and Denver)!! Consistently exceptional!

By John T |

Skip the soy sauce, ginger, and wasabi,…every piece of sushi is perfectly dressed as the chef recommends.

Simply exceptional

By Keith D |

Truly exceptional Japanese cuisine! We visited this restaurant on 8/9/21 while on vacation in Miami and had dinner here twice and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. This is the closest thing to actually being in Japan.

If you like Japanese food, YOU MUST EAT HERE1

By ajgeb |

Made reservations here based on reviews, and Uchi did not disappoint. Top notch service and even better food. This is far more creative Japanese and most certainly is not your typical sushi and maki. The cauliflower and halibut are particularly excellent but the banana cake desert was the crowning dish. Handsome restaurant and prompt and friendly service from the wait staff made the evening that much more enjoyable. We did opt not to get the tasting menu, but each of us ordered 4-5 items from the different parts of the menu. Very much like tapas Japanese-style. Expensive, but completely worth it.

An adventure for the palate!!

By 856sharyna |

Go just GOOOOOOOO for any reason… RUNNNN to it… Don’t miss out!! The food was soooo darn delicious!!! I mean every bite was savored by allowing the of food to rest on the tongue before slowly chewing as to not let go of the sensation happening in your mouth. Who knew?!?!? I searched best sushi in Miam and Uchi was 3rd or 4th on the list. THANK GOD I chose it. I can’t wait to go back. Yes, it is a tad expensive ($60-$75) per person but most dishes can be shared between 4 ppl. YUMMMMMMMM-EEEEEEEE. Get the fried milk for dessert. We had the sweet potato tempura, uchi salad, wagu beef slices on a hot stone, short ribs and some sushi. Nicole was our waiter and she was most helpful with her suggestions… very attentive and always smiling when speaking to us. Seriously folks, just GOOOOOOOO!!!
