Great food and great location! This is close to my office and I'm a frequent diner, whether for business meetings or dining with colleagues. The food and service always impress and you can't go wrong. Breakfast, lunch and dinner menus are all excellent. I'm partial to their salads for lunch and you can't go wrong with their chopped or Caesar Salads (with chicken, shrimp or salmon). It's a great looking place, in the heart of museum area of the Parkway. It's attached to the upscale Logan Hotel and a convenient place for family, business or fun. Seating is nicely spaced for privacy.

Had the scallops which were excellent on quinoa. Corn bread in a can was also excellent. Went on a Thursday evening, plenty of seating without reservation. Nice that they offer sparkling or plain water. Service wasn’t best. Our water was never refilled, took awhile for waiter to take order and he never checked how our meal was. Only talked to him again when we were finished and waiting for check. For a visit to Philadelphia it was a vacation experience.

We went for lunch and returned the next day for dinner, the food was so good. From refreshing salads and sandwiches to steaks everything we ate was perfect. The atmosphere is nice and open.

This place is shockingly uneven given its price point. It seems like there’s no clear vision from an ownership point of view. Let’s start with the strengths: Really Great cocktails - A+. Really nice Caesar salad though they shouldn’t give you 2 anchovies and make you pay $2 for extra - cheesy move. The ability to do a steak tasting plate and compare grass fed, prime and aged steaks side by side is cool. Now the negatives: The dining room feels a bit like a Hilton breakfast room. It’s sterile, overly big, with random neon and pop music playing (at $75+ a dinner, it’s very weird). The wine: almost completely PA wines, which, sorry I’ve been to many local wineries, are just plain bad. And here they are charging $18 a glass for wine that should be $4 - seriously. What on earth. At least provide choices! The steaks: great quality I’m sure, but cooking temperatures were very uneven and they clearly didn’t make it quickly from grill to table (both a must at a high end steakhouse), and they just plopped them on giant white cheap plates. Imagine an $80 filet plopped on a plate 10 times it’s size with one drab herb sprig. Service: really uneven. We kept being forgotten about. Not much excuse at that price point. Overall, unless ownership cares enough to come up with a clearly curated vision you should not give it your time and money.

We enjoyed breakfast here 2x's during a recent visit to Philadelphia. Very creative menu and every meal was beautifully presented. Service was excellent on day one, and a bit slower on day two but still friendly and knowable staff. Best to make a reservation!

Went to dinner with my son and father. Very good food, excellent service and an overall very nice experience. Would recommend if you are looking for a good steak.

Dinner with friends. Quick and attentive service. Offered a sample some sort of thing with a watermelon base that was very tasty. The brined pork chop was tender and very flavorful. It's on my list for a return visit the next time I'm in Philadelphia.

Good steak house. Great wait staff. Stiff martinis. Did the flight of meat at 70 bucks. Liked it. Steaks done well. Side of spinach was a highlight. A bit pricy. Nice spacing of tables enable good conversation.

I have been coming here for 3 years now. Pre covid, it was my go to Happy Hour spot when I lived on the parkway. Now I eat from here whenever I stay the Logan which is frequently. The food is really good, especially their appetizers. I have had almost everything on the menu except for fish and chicken, because why? lool. They can do no wrong when it comes to room service! (Well maybe send it up with real plates and utensils. Food is never cold or tepid, even when you order steak and fries still crispy . this is odd but they have the best ketchup packets. I'm not even a ketchup fan like that, but it stands out and tastes like the high quality ketchup, whatever that is... lol The decor is nice. I like the variations in seating. I tried to get a table solo, as a guest, and was told I needed a reservation. My plans for dinner had changed last minute. the restaurant was literally empty. Though it wasn't my first time dining in, that turned me off immediately. I decided to order the food to go and had to go to the bar to do so. Trying to wrangle a bartender to actual do that is a feat in itself past 6pm. So I order my food and grab a drink while I wait. The wait took forever, unnecessarily. Also, like another reviewer wrote about the steaks, though very good, the presentation is way too basic for the price you pay.

We haven't been to Urban Farmer in almost 3 years, since November 2017, and, unfortunately, it looks like that the quality went downhill, and did so sharply. The menu is very scarce, the dishes offered are boring, the proclaimed "farm-to-table" aspect gets lost in transition, the ingredients are your usual diner fare, the cherry chicken sausage felt bland, straight out of a supermarket, the vegetable frittata was freely floating in the excessive amount of oil/grease, and the cappuccino tasted terribly staled. The service is, again, diner-like, generic and impersonal. Overall, more than disappointing.

You will not b disappointed by the quality of the food and drink or the caliber of the staff. You will feel welcomed as soon as you enter the establishment and greeted with a smile. The entries are definite high quality with locally sourced fresh farm to table.

Had breakfast here two days during our stay in Philadelphia. The veggie frittata was excellent. Tasty with lots of cheese and veggies. The next day crab/mushroom omelette is delicious. Nice bloody maries with Titos vodka, but $20 bucks a pop! Wow! Way overpriced. Nice fruit bowls. Servers are friendly, attentive, professional, and just plain perfect.

The Urban Farmer is a very inviting place to dine. The restaurant is spacious and very relaxing. The meal is expensive but the decor at this restaurant is excellent and you sort of pay for the total experience. They hit it out of the ball park with the design. The seating is also very comfortable. The menu is rather simple and well laid out. Our meal was simple too: oysters, steak and the creamed spinach. I ordered the Farmer #4 cocktail: a base of Tito's vodka along with St. Germain, lime and the highlight: a large cube of frozen grapefruit juice --- if you like the idea of citrus this is the best drink you can imagine. The oysters were perfect and served on ice in an old beaten up steel and ceramic cooking pan --- a very nice touch. The bread serving was a perfect small roll along with a large portion of corn bread -- and wonderful butter. I had the 8 ounce filet, cooked perfectly rare as requested. This was a delicious piece of meat. If you like/love creamed spinach you have to try it here. There was no room for dessert. The service is excellent. I was impressed.

The Urban Farmer is located at The Logan Hotel. My family had breakfast at the restaurant when we stayed at the Logan. The menu was farm to table. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The staff was friendly and helpful. Service was excellent. The walls and the shelves were worth checking out. When I return to Philadelphia, I plan to go back to the Urban Farmer.

We had an enjoyable lunch at Urban Farmer. The atmosphere is comfortable, with an open and airy layout. The menu offers a unique mix of food choices with a different kind of flare. We had the deviled egg and cheese plate appetizers, and both were very tasty and were presented nicely. Our chicken sandwiches didn't disappoint either. We really liked their sauces also. Our server was energetic and friendly, which added to the experience. Highly recommended.

Our first time here and wI'll definitely be back on our next Phillips visit. The food was delicious and fresh, coffee and water were filled promptly. But our server ,Kathy , made all the difference with her kind attitude and took the time to talk to us about what Urban Farner represents. She made the experience even more special. Thanks, for helping our local farms 💚💚💚

Spent overnite in Logan. Lunch at Urban Farmer. Wait staff confused but food quality lived up to billing. Don’t bother ordering a cocktail from the bar. Select your table as the stand alone 2’s are on top of each other so expect to share your conversation

Stopped by Urban Farmer for Sunday Brunch since they had Lobster Eggs Benedict! It was delicious! The Housemade Muffin underneath the Eggs & Lobster was Wow! Definitely one of the best Lobster Eggs Benedict i have ever tried! Urban Farmers is attached to a hotel, so might get crowded during breakfast / brunch. Service was a bit slow, but staff were friendly. Definitely would come back for the Lobster Eggs Benedict!

Awesome food and top notch service from our charming waiter. Thanks for the recommendations Tim! Thanks for giving my wife a special Creamsicle.

Took the wife out for our anniversary dinner and WOW. Amazing seafood, amazing service. The setting and location couldn't be better. A little on the expensive side, but was worth the extra cost by far.

More fusion than old style American - except the steaks which were phenomenal. The parsnip and onion soup was not phenomenal but tasty - don’t expect the classical French onion version. The Mac and cheese side was just ok.

We stopped in for lunch on a hot summer day and had an excellent meal. Their burgers are fantastic, drinks are great and the service was outstanding. We'll definitely come back when we visit Philadelphia again.

We had the cauliflower soup, hot roast beef sandwich, and beet salad. All were superb! Would def eat there again.

If you are a carnivore, this is your place! They have a wide variety of steaks (along with non-beef selections) for you to choose from. All of their steaks come with a short description on the menu, indicating if the steak is grass fed, grain fed, how long it has been dry aged and where the beef comes from. We ordered the ‘steak sampler’ which gave us a choice of three 6oz strips. I choose a grain fed, a grass fed and a 21 days dry aged and was not disappointed at all. The steaks were done as I like the, rare, served hot. They were well presented and the waiter explained which steak was which on my choices. The rub used did not in any way take away from the taste of the meat. We also ordered sides of braised carrots and mushrooms with carmalized onions. Our knowledgeable waiter told us that sides were family sized portions and we had plenty to go around. Service was prompt and the waiter was very attentive. Excellent all the way around. It should be noted that UF is $$$$. Reservations are suggested and there is outside seating. I would suggested dressy casual but that is not a must. If you like steak, this is your place!

good service, well prepared food. good place for breakfast. staff well trained and attentive. fast, competent service.

Staff were very nice. Helpful , cheerful. Very comfortable roomy. Clean, beautiful environment. Went over holidays, we all ejoyed our food, was great

When I come to Philly for work and to see my family, I now always stay at the Logan Hotel. Part of it is the Urban Farmer. I was to meet my parents for brunch one Saturday, and I didn't even think to make a reservation. I went to the friendly person at the front and they said it was a 30 minute wait. No problem, my parents were still walking over. I got seated and my parents hadn't arrived yet. I felt bad for holding a table, but our AMAZING SERVER never once made me feel badly about it. Kathy with a K and a cat tattoo, was a terrific personable server. My parents got stuck with a fire alarm at their apartment and had to walk down 14 flights...and Kathy greeted them with such niceness that it made everything seem okay. And then I spilled my Bellini all over my father. Kathy nicely got me a new one and did not make me feel bad for asking. It really makes a difference when staff is nice, personable, not pushy, and just generally friendly good people. That is what Kathy is and she deserves to be acknowledged! We also love Tim, the Head Bartender. He is the cocktail king. And again, always super pleasant and kind. And remembers people too! Oh, and the food is pretty good too. Pricey, but the chicken liver mousse is terrific.

Nearly a week in the Logan, most every night I ate here and had steaks. Great steak sampler, the Wagyu was fantastic, steak frites was great for in room dining, great wine selection and great service. East meets west margarita is tremendous. Love this place. Breakfast wins. Bacon.

We were visiting from out of town and were blown away by the food, service and ambiance here! We didn’t make reservations and Carl at the front scored us a table at the last minute and we were very thankful. Drew was our waiter and was extremely attentive and friendly and made sure we were taken care of. Byron was our expeditor and was also very friendly and attentive and brought our amazing food that was very flavorful and beautifully displayed. We were so happy with everything and wanted to share so that others can share the same great experience. Bravo! Can’t wait to return!

An interminable wait with no explanation!!! Dogs are allowed to eat at the table!! In short, they don't know what else to do to attract wealthy customers - This isn't a restaurant, it's a rip-off to be avoided at all costs +++++

Sunday brunch was excellent with a Fun atmosphere and great service. Very good menu selections for a brunch. Several of us had Hamburgers that were great! Short rib hash was also excellent. Would not hesitate to ever go back!

Are you kidding me, What an amazing brunch! Flavor, portions, style, ambiance, and service. This was one of the better places to come to in Phily for a meal not to miss. The farm to table is true and evident in each meal. When we sat down, our server was very personable, and we asked some questions on the menu. First, we found out they have their own Butcher on staff, and the English muffins were homemade. Delicious jams and butter for the homemade English muffins. We went with our waiters' brunch suggestions, and they were each amazing! (forgot to photograph) bit trust me on this one. they were delicious! We went with the Short Rib hash, the farm vegetable frittata and the crab omelet, all sizable and delicious! We could not resist adding the pancakes as they were highly recommended. Wow, were they good and fresh! Cool art around the room and nice relaxing music in the background playing. A mist try in philly.

The oysters were excellent as was our steaks and the fingerling mashed potatoes on the side. The service was very good and if its important top you the table are very spaced out. Will certainly make a trip back!

Had the special 6oz filet and it was so tender and just delish! Started with bursts salad which was amazing as well. Finished with the mini doughnuts and a coffee. Everything was superb, service was top notch by all. Overall fantastic Choi e in Logan Square!

We were excited to find a Thanksgiving restaurant that offered vegan options, since we had 2 vegans in our group, but that also offered traditional turkey. Our group of 9 made a reservation, which was essential. We were under the impression that we could order either the fixed price menu ($75) or from the a la carte menu. Several of us were planning to order from the a la carte menu because one of the seniors in our group is a light eater and the 2 vegans could order extra of the vegan food. However, we were told that everyone had to order from the fixed price menu, and the à la cart menu was available only in the bar. So that meant we had to spend $75 each for eight people in our group, even though the senior does not eat very much, and the two vegans had only a couple of choices. It would’ve been nice if the restaurant had brought double servings of the vegan options, given that the vegans were not able to eat any of the side items. The restaurant did offer a child plate for our seven-year-old, which consisted of a nice turkey, stuffing, and cranberry sauce plate for $14. She then wanted dessert, and the price of the pumpkin pie was $10 for the slice. The service was a bit slow, but that’s probably to be expected when you have a large group on Thanksgiving. Overall, we enjoyed the experience, but felt it was more expensive than it should have been considering.

I was hungry for a steak, and this was close to the hotel. Walking in, I immediately thought, this will not be cheap. I was right, but it was worth it. They have their own butcher shop and they age the beef in house. It does make a difference. I had the the 8 oz. filet. They should probably put it on a smaller plate, because when served, it looks like an inflated hockey puck, but it was more than enough. All of the sides are served 'family style', and I wanted some mushrooms (grown in house), but not a family portion. So when I told the waiter that, he arranged to get a half order from the chef. The meat was done perfectly (med rare), and the aging makes a huge difference. It was probably over spiced, but very flavorful. Wine was very good but also pricey. Highly recommended.

We had the steak sampler and added the Wagyu 6 oz. option. It was incredible. Perfectly cooked to Medium as requested. Side potato tart was delectable, as was the blacked foie gras which was served with a small bleu cheese pastry. Leah was a top notch waiter with a friendly smile. We took advantage of the $30 bottles 🍷on Sundays.

While visiting Philly for my birthday weekend, my brother and I had the pleasure of stopping through for breakfast. The restaurant was quite busy and after modest wait we were seated. The manager EVAN, noticed that we had not been tended to and came over to our table. He apologized for the wait with complimentary Mimosas. The three of us engaged in conversation and within minutes, my brother and I were charmed. The food was superb, the service was great.... and what a nice surprise when a candle like cinnamon arrived at the table for my birthday. Your kind gestures, great food and service has turned me into a loyal customer. I am already looking forward to my visit to hilly next month...Just so I can go to URBAN FARMER. Thanks again Evan for making my day so special. I'll never forget.

On January 20th of 2019, I had the pleasure of dining at The Urban Farmer restaurant located in the Logan hotel in Philadelphia Pa. When I tell you that this is establishment was an extremely pleasant experience, I am not exaggerating. I intend to make another trip to Philly and will eat at the Urban Farmer again because the food, atmosphere, and drinks were top notch. I would like to sincerely thank Evan, the manager, and his staff for a superlative dining experience.

This restaurant seemed like the perfect finale for our fabulous our first visit to Philadelphia. The food ended up being “fine”, but certainly overpriced. We ordered two different steaks, both medium rare. One came rare and one came medium. What? The server didn’t come near our table until we were almost finished eating so we had no opportunity to have them rectify the situation. At least the corn bread was tasty, but we left feeling dissatisfied.

This is one of the best meals we've had! From the start, the corn bread was especially moist and delicious. The mixed greens salad was super and came with an outstanding dressing, several of the veggies thinly-sliced like potato chips. The Mac and cheese was also one of the best we have tried- great cheese sauce and Panko trimming. The ribeye streak was perfectly cooked, tender, and nicely seasoned- its 14 oz size made it possible for us to split it, and the kitchen kindly sliced it, so we could divide an equal number of slices. Our waiter, Byron, was super, and even brought us champagne when he overheard we were celebrating our anniversary. Urban Farmer will be a regular for us.

The meal was good and the service was excellent. Lovely outside dining space. Great after a trip to the Franklin Institute.

Fou of us had a great meal there. The food was really good. I had the duck breast and it was delicious. The service was friendly and informative..Our food arrived in good time. I would recommend this palce for a good meal

Cauliflower soup for a starter and seared scallops as an entree with a carrots and mushrooms as side dishes. I also had a Glenfiddich 15 over an ice ball. Everything was nicely presented and very well prepared. The meal was surprisingly enjoyable, especially for a hotel restaurant

Busy Saturday night visit. I would recommend reservations as we did. Menu is somewhat limited but had plenty of items that we liked. Really liked the cheese cart and the way they use a cart to display and explain the cheeses. Our cheese was terrific, though though it odd that they were not all local. Also offered Wago carpaccio, where the Chef comes and lightly torches it on a salt stone. Great presentation, but it needed some kind of condiment with it, like black pepper or a mustard aioi. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, and oh, the yeast rolls and cornbread are just the best! Nice touch! Good wine selection and service was prompt and professional, even for a busy night. Very good visit.

Grabbed lunch here. Food was really really good. The vibe and how the restaurant is set up just makes it fun and open. Tables aren’t so close together so you don’t feel crowded. Drinks were great, service on point.

Wow - it was rainy so we ate in the hotel and I am SO glad we did! This place is amazing! I had the filet mignon and it was delicious!! Service was friendly and effective. Ambience was casual but nice. Two thumbs up on everything we ate - from the corn bread to the potato tartlette to the steak to dessert!

We wanted to eat outside. We were told by an agitated host that would not be possible. They were understaffed. The area we were seated at indoors was not far from the outside area at all. Would have liked to have enjoyed the weather. Alcoholic drinks, along with our waters were very WARM. Just awful. Two of us got the chicken sandwich. Both of us found that the thick piece of chicken was undercooked. Sending it back was not an option as no one came to the table. The other two people in our party were equally underwhelmed by the food and drink. Atmosphere of the restaurant and hotel lobby lacks a soul. Weird, cold artwork. Depressing colors. This building was once the 4 Seasons hotel and the restaurant and lobby area was once the Swann Lounge. It had been a wonderful, cozy, welcoming space with a piano, afternoon tea, Sunday brunch and a great M-Sat. lunch buffet with excellent service. How I miss that. Won't be coming back to Urban Farmer.

We for brunch on a Saturday morning and it did not disappoint. This is my 2nd time there and I will go back. The hostess was able to change our reservation from inside to outside with a limited wait. Our server was quick and very attentive and so sweet! It was our anniversary and she brought us champagne! It is the little things that really make an experience. The cheese board was out of this world. Absolutely delicious! with a combination of cheese, crackers and fig spread, it was a perfect amount to share. The crab omelet was fantastic! Fluffy and packed full of crab meat and mushrooms! If you're looking for a top notch bloody mary, Urban Farmer is the place for it. Spicy and delicious. The people watching is also amazing. Urban Farmer made our anniversary one to remember! We will definitely be back!

Our server was John. He was the best server. My daughter says that he is the best server she has ever had! Food was delicious, but John made it more enjoyable. He was attentive, funny, and efficient. Well done! Thank you for the experience!

Went for weekday lunch. Got hamburgers and wraps and fish and chips. Portions were large and very tasty but very pricey for lunch.

Booked on OpenTable in advance for an early dinner 6pm on a Saturday night and seated promptly. Glad we managed to even get a reservation as we could see tables filling up quickly. Tried to use the QR reader for the menu and our server (sorry didn’t catch her name) kindly brought us a single use menu. Starters were braised octopus and hubby had the charcuterie board. Both were excellent and quickly served. Water was replenished often, and all meals were perfectly presented. It was fun people-watching from the table as the view was overlooking a quiet Parkway, with many people out for a walk. Quite a few stopped for reservations to be told they were booked up so I would recommend advanced booking. For the mains, we shared the NY steak tasting consisting of 6 oz each: Joyce farms grass-fed, 44 farms prime, and 1855 beef 21-Day Dry Aged and added the 6oz of 7x wagyu. Along with grilled asparagus and roasted local mushrooms – there was no need for potatoes for us. My favorite steak was the Joyce farms grass-fed and hubby’s, the 1855 beef 21-Day Dry Aged. We passed on dessert and left very happy. There were 2 ladies who served us, who were outstanding. We understood the Covid restrictions time limit of 2 hours and wearing a mask, especially entering for the rest room, which I did. We noticed one customer who tried to enter the building without a mask and displayed some annoyance at being asked to wear one. The staff dealt with the situation quickly and very diplomatically. It was comforting to know that they were firm for the sake of their own staff’s health and other customers. They really should not have to deal with those situations on top of everything else they are going through right now. Thank you to all the staff and we would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and return.

Delicious frittata and coffee. Ambiance is fun and the place was busy. Our server was a delight. Would return.

One of my favorite restaurants in Philly.lunch is great. Good burgers. The shrimp and grits are excellent. Also a great place for dinner. They have their own butcher shop. Steaks are great.

Took my wife and family out to this restaurant for dinner. They tout themselves as a modern steak house. I did not find the experience to be what I would expect. The steak was decent but not great. Lets start with the cocktail. Good but not great. Very heavy on ice which washed out a lot of the flavor. Steaks were generally thin cuts, similar to what you would get from a grocery store. I would have expected a bit thicker cut for the price paid. The sides were ok but very carb heavy. Broccolini was decent. The service was disappointing. Recommendations given were not uniquely delivered and were repeated by the servers to each table. On the positive side the water glasses never went empty. I don't think I would recommend unless you are reserving at the last minute and can't find another place.

We were staying at the Logan and went here for breakfast in the hotel. Since it was a Saturday, only the brunch menu was available, and it was filled with high-priced items rather than standard breakfast fare. I ordered off it the lemon pancakes with blueberry compote, which were ok. My wife asked if she could get the steel cut oatmeal from the breakfast menu and was told she could, but it was awful. The coffee was also terrible and quite expensive. So with a side of fruit, that was a $45 meal, and not a very good way to start the day.

Was in town for a business meeting and a co-worker decided to give this place a try based on reviews. It was mid-week and not busy. We were promptly seated and the waiter was very good and attentive. The atmosphere was quiet and we were able to have a conversation without a lot of noise. People filtered in over the hour and a half we were there which didn't add any noise. I decided to go with the New York Steak tasting. The steaks were ordered medium well, but they didn't turn out that way. All three steaks were charred and cooked solid making them not tender at all. The meal appeared by be prepared by a line cook instead of a chef and did not justify the $80 steaks. All said and done my half was over $200 for the meal and drinks. Maybe it was a bad night in the kitchen, but it's a stiff price to pay to find out.

On a rainy day in Philadelphia, the Urban Farmer House was a great place for breakfast. Nice environment, friendly staff and food that served well

We had a delicious late lunch at Urban Farmer today thanks to the expert card of our stellar servers John and Amanda. Located in the Logan, the space is simply awesome. Loved the decor, so bright, chic and welcoming. We started with the deviled eggs. Easy to share as there were three halves for each of us. Next step is the Caesar salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp were plentiful and the greens were crisp. Just the right amount of salad dressing but the highlight for us was the white anchovies. You don’t very often see those as an option on Caesar salad‘s and they are delicious. Server John was nice enough to supply us with extras. Another nice touch was the option to have sparkling or still water at no charge. At the end of the meal we were given seed packets. Cucumbers and sweet corn. I will take them home and get them started inside and think about our great lunch at urban farmer as they grow.

Great steaks and sides. Good halibut as well. Very fresh salads. Good wines (pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon). Good cocktails

Loved loved this place. Everyone is so friendly and the food was excellent. Haven’t had the choice a water with or with out bubbles since Italy. Steak was so tender. And the roasted cauliflower no words.

I had an enjoyable time at the Tavern, which started with happy hour drinks and wings, finishing with pork chops and mushrooms. The prices for happy hour at the bar are pretty reasonable and I really enjoyed the wings, with a decent amount of spice and well cooked for tender chicken. The pork chops I didn't realize I was getting two but even so I would not have expected the very large two chop roast I received on my plate. But it only got better from there as the chops were perfectly cooked to and tender, slice after slice. It was like cutting a roast. I'm writing this a little late so forget all the flavors but it was the most enjoyable pork chops I've ever had. The side of muchrooms was large and flavorful, also enjoyable. My only apprehension was the cost but if you know that going in, you're all set.

I recently had brunch at this location and the food was the real star of the show. I ordered the short rib hash. I’ve very picky with short ribs and this was probably one of the best ones I’ve had outside my own home. Service was a little slower than I would have liked, but our server was friendly.

This is a large restaurant with table well spaced Friendly and efficient service The food was excellent, teh steak I had was done exactly as requested, my wife was happy with her meal too If we hade stayed longer in Phily we would have returned here

My harvest salad portion looked small but turned out to be perfectly adequate for my appetite level. It was a bit sour for my taste but taste is individual. I imagine it works for other diners. My two friends had been here before, knew the menu and seemed satisfied with their selections The issues started with desert. My cheesecake looked and tasted lovely. The cheesecake and another desert arrived promptly. The third member of our party must have waited a good 15 minutes for hers. Our waitress was nowhere to be seen. We had to ask two other employees before her desert finally arrived. When our checks came, I was charged $5.00 for a tea which I did not order. I asked for a corrected bill. The waitress refused. I took out my pen and crossed off the incorrect charge and redid the math. Our waitress reprimanded me not to write on it, became somewhat unpleasant and demonstrated a bit of "attitude." It's unlikely I'll return. This interaction left a bad taste.

Creative cocktails, generous pours, variety of seating arrangements. Nice place to have a drink with a group or alone.

This was my first visit to this highly recommended restaurant experience my friends and family told me about often. I have nothing bad to say about the food or service but I will never again pay $25 for the smaller portion of cauliflower steak they must have changed to…

Could I get a bit of beef with my salt? Oh boy a great potential is saddled by a crushing crusting of salt. If this is your thing, awesome. If not, you will realize why they keep the water glass full. Fortunately the great staff is nowhere near as salty :)

Food has gone downhill! Such a shame because it was a fun place to go with great food several years ago! It's been on the decline since 2022. The inside is pretty and relaxing!

The food was fresh and delicious. Our waiter was entertaining and very helpful. We were able to take our time and enjoy the experience. We even saw some NBA basketball players!

We enjoyed breakfast at Urban Farmer. First, the atmosphere is wonderful, from the seating to the light fixtures. We ordered shrimp and grits which was good and steak hash which was very good. The service was very perfect. The pricing is expensive but expected when it is located in a lovely hotel.

Trendy venue located a stone's throw from the Franklin Institute. Very nice place, food a little too spicy for my tastes, I'm particularly referring to the meat, staff perhaps too distant. The bill was around $100 pp (1/2 appetizer, meat and side dish). Children's menu available. Overall, it was a nice evening.

Shrimp & Grits….Simply the BEST. I went for a facial at the underground spa. I will go back again for the grits at urban Farmer.

I styaed at the Logan Curio by Hilton, and had brekafast there at the Urban Farmer. Since I am a Hilton Honors member, I got that $15 food credit. Ziara was my wait staff that morning. Very nice young lady and very attentive. I never heard of chicken cherry sauage before, and she kind of introduced me to it when I aksed her what it was. Delicious. I may need the chef to send me the recipe. Still, the food was delicious, Ziara is a nice young lady, and it made my morning better.

We just left the Urban Farmer for breakfast. We were greeted by Kathy who is just amazing. She was on top of everything where we never had to ask for anything. Her recommendations were spot on. After we were done with our food we had asked her a bunch of questions about the restaurant. Not only was she informative and knowledgeable but was extremely passionate. Eventhough we had already eaten, she did such a great job in selling us on the dinner options that we will absolutely be back. The food was amazing, but Kathy was the icing on the cake (or syrup on the pancakes ;-))

Yum!! I loved this restaurant! I ended up eating here for all 3 meals when I was recently there for work, and each one of them were delicious. The staff was wonderful and I felt welcomed at their restaurant. The atmosphere was so fun. A good balance of casual and upscale.

We popped in here to have a look at the menu to plan dinner while on our trip. We decided to sit at the bar and have a small bite to eat before moving on. Sitting at the bar was a great idea, we had a great chat with two of the bar staff and a lovely man that called in after work for a drink. It was Happy Hour too which made having a second drink very easy. The atmosphere was one of a professionals wine bar but there were families in for dinner too. Our small bite to eat was a portion of wings to share. We LOVE our wings and found what we ordered was a VERY small portion of 4 small wings that were not the easiest to eat as they were very thick skinned just didn't taste right. We didn't go back for dinner but cannot praise the bar staff highly enough for making us feel so welcome.

The meat is delicious, the service is as pleasant as the room. I highly recommend this steakhouse restaurant

We went here for breakfast/brunch on a Saturday. Busy, but didn't have to wait long. We had shrimp and grits served with large, thick slices of buttered toast. Outstanding! And a crab omelette with a crispy potato pancake (thick) and a home made English muffin. The omelette was stuffed with delicious Kennett Square mushrooms (fairly local to Phila) and lump meat crab. Yes--the real thing. Our food was absolutely magnificent. And the service here is more than outstanding: if you need more water or coffee, you don't have to search for your waiter. Other wait staff will jump right over to cover, so you never have to wait for anything. They are so attentive and pleasant as well. The portions served are HUGE. And it's all superior quality and delicious. We were also surprised at how reasonably priced everything was. The dining room areas are clean, pleasant, and not noisy. I'm sure other meals at this establishment are also quite special. This breakfast was extremely memorable. Return? In a heartbeat.

Excellent service, superior food, knowledgeable staff, our waiter Tim was very professional and made my kids laugh. I would visit again on my next trip to Philadelphia. I highly recommend this steakhouse, they’re excellent.

All three had a different cut of beef - fillet, ny strip and wagyu rib-eye. All three had a distinct and wonderful flavor - cooked to perfection. I was the only one ordering a starter salad and good thing... it was HUGE! All three of us ended up sharing it. Sides are ala carte, but large enough for us to split two. Hostesses and servers were helpful and friendly.

Ok, I went to the Urban Farmer on my own while in Philadelphia. I sat at the bar. I had a gin & tonic, 2 glasses of an average Malbec, a salad and a 6 oz filet. All was good. Nothing on the plate with the steak. A very large plate with a very small steak. Total with tip $120.00 dinner for one. Good food - over priced.

I was quite disappointed with my experience. First, after seated at my table for over 20 minutes unattended, I had to ask the host to please send a waiter. Not a great start. On to the food. A shining moment was upon me when I was presented with a lovely house made cornbread and a side of herb butter. The cornbread was warm and the butter was a great compliment. My expectations rose from the cornbread experience. Unfortunately, the experience rapidly declined. I received my entrée (Steak Frites) and the steak was a bit overcooked. At this point, I could not wait for a redo so I forged ahead and completed my meal. For the price tag that came with this meal, the experience fell quite short. Not worth a second visit for potential redemption.

Fantastic food- the burger was one of the best I’ve ever had. Great, friendly service. Great outside seating with a view of the park.

4th visit to Urban Farmer and it only gets better! First, I have to give a shout out to Travis. Love him! He's an awesome host, very professional and friendly. When we were in on our visit in December, I mentioned to him that he was there on everyone of my visits and complimented him on being so awesome. Later when we were having breakfast he came over to thank me for the kind words and had some cinnamon rolls ready for us when we left. Restaurant workers work so hard and rarely get the kudos they deserve. All of the staff that we encountered this last visit were great! Alex was our server and recommended the crab omelette. He was right! It was great! The homemade English muffins and the cinnamon rolls are to die for. You really can't go wrong with anything!

My girlfriend and I came here for a Valentine’s dinner. The food and service were exemplary. Most notable were the two food runners Jean and Rolando. Excellent conversationalists and they made us laugh!

I only had lunch at The Urban Farmer - which is accessed both from the street and directly from inside The Logan Hotel. The lunch menu was salads and sandwiches and I selected a salad with salmon on top. The lettuce was fresh and crisp while the salmon was a bit over-cooked and dry. Not the best. What was odd was the sort-of "farmer" decor. This is a downtown, major city restaurant. Maybe I'm missing something but I didn't get the farmer thing. Servers wore a sort-of farmer costume and it just seemed so out-of-synch with the general location and the attachment to the sophisticated The Logan Hotel. The atmosphere was cold and sterile to my eye - and nothing like a warm farmhouse (which is what I imagined they were trying for).

So much to say in such a small place. Was there on a Saturday night, so maybe they just couldn't keep up. We were there with a corporate group of 9 and our server was less than accommodating. The Shrimp cocktail was less than average, the shrimp were huge but weren't cold or firm enough. The Caesar salad was good but again nothing outstanding. I had the 21 day aged NY Strip and found it to be much less flavorful than any other dry aged steak that I have ever had. I'm not one to add salt, but needed to in order to bring put some flavor on the steak. I would have asked the sever to confirm that I was served the right cut, but by this point in dinner we were all just ready to go. The twice baked fingerling potatoes were really good even through they were over done and stuck in the skillet. If you go be sure to try the cornbread, its very good. I was looking forward to this dinner from the time we made reservations, but left disappointed.

If you are in Philly, go here NOW! Every meal that I had there was fabulous, breakfast, lunch or dinner!! The cornbread, the homemade English muffins, the steak, the side dishes all perfection. Farm to table concept. Basic food but amped up by a 1000.

The restaurant is a bit fancy and pricey so you probably won’t want to come every morning for breakfast. Alex served us and she was attentive and checked in on our needs. Comfortable seating area. Menu was quite small, but that made it easier to decide what to have. We ordered smoked salmon eggs Benedict, and a scrambled egg, bacon and cheese on an English muffin. Two very strong coffees. Everything was delicious and served beautifully. Total cost before tip around $55.

Came here for brunch and everything was tasty. The cinnamon roll, the steak and eggs and the dessert was all yummy. Service was slow but we weren’t in any rush so it worked for us. The place is shabby chic and rustic and cute. A bit pricey as we paid $100 for two people for brunch.

We had spent our afternoon walking through the museums of Philly and our dinner at Urban Farmer did not disappoint! The atmosphere is very trendy, warm, and full of dining businessmen. The menu has a wide range of options for both food and drink. Portions are large enough to share, especially as far as the sides go. It is not cheap, but the quality is high. We ordered a steak, and two sides. The highlight of the meal was the spinach. Bread was very unique and tasty. Only complaint is that the staff was very soft-spoken and hard to hear sometimes. Great location for walking from any of the main central museums.

We were guests at the hotel; since we arrived early, our rooms were not ready so we headed to the Urban Farmer for breakfast. Pancakes were oversized and were delicious. A side of bacon was presented in a 6” cast iron skillet and was very good. Coffee refills were plentiful but not hot enough. We enjoyed dinner the next evening. New York strip was very good, as was the crabmeat appetizer. The cauliflower gratin was a disappointment; I do like vegetables al dente, but these tasted as though the cauliflower was not cooked at all. The twice baked fingerling potatoes were so-so, not seasoned enough and they were barely lukewarm. Desserts were pretty good: Several flavors of sherbet and an appealing strawberry rhubarb cobbler. Again, the cobbler was served in a cast iron skillet but was barely warm. It was also heavily redolent of thyme which overpowered the delicious fruit. Service was excellent, but prices were rather exorbitant. We're glad to have tried this restaurant and it was an interesting experience.

Nice atmosphere. Comfortable chairs. Music that’s not too loud. Good service. Friendly staff. Sensational cornbread. (I went for dinner) (I

We used a private room for a large group. Food was excellent. We particularly enjoyed short ribs hash and vegetable frittatas. I particularly remember coffee tasting good with perfect acidity and richness. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and space. Staff is courteous and professional.

Had Frittata for breakfast... full of vegetables.. liked it. It is always good.. service is great and taste is awesome

Every time we visit Philly we have dinner at the Urban Farmer. It’s a bit pricey and alacarte’, but the sides are good also and enough to share with 3 - 4 people. Bon Appetit.

This was a very nice traditional steak.Restaurant. our server drew was very knowledgeable. They had a good variety of appetizers and excellent salads. We shared two different types of steak. The ribeye was a tiny bit dry despite being cooked to medium. The new york strip kansas prime was more flavorable. Sides were excellent fingerling potatoes, double baked and the cream spinach. We're both outstanding.

Had a business dinner with a colleague while in town for a medical congress. Ambience was great though a tad loud, food was very good - ribeye special was very tasty though slightly overdone. Service was solid but not exceptional. All in all a very good dining experience and a really solid place to try if you're from out of town.

Very good wine list, great food, knowledgeable and friendly waiter. Definitely enjoyed our dinner here.

Food was tepid, borderline cold. Table of three, all order fillet, 2 medium, 1 medium rare. It was self evident that the medium rare had been prepared first and left to sit while the medium steaks were completed, resulting in a cold medium rare steak with cold Bernaise sauce, and tepid sides. And yes, I did raise the issue, the response was we’ll comp wine. Save the money, eat somewhere else, your wallet and pallet will thank you.

Part of the Logan hotel so as a guest this is the only food option. Food quality was horrible; had to ask for a refund on one meal (which they did but still made me pay the tips!) Didn’t bother complaining about sec d bad experience, the hotel does not care. Easiest way to avoid this place....don’t stay at the hotel

On a recent return trip to Philly to visit family, my oldest daughter and I ventured to Urban Farmer where we have enjoyed meals years earlier and which held wonderful memories for us both. We were hankering for a good steak and salad and didnt want to walk the extra distance to the other top name steak houses. To say this evening was a disappointment is an understatement. The Cesear Salad was mediorce at best, it lacked flavor and pizzaze it was bland. The we ordered the 28 oz dry aged rib eye, medium rare. It arrived cold and had ZERO taste, after two bites I couldn't chew due to toughness i was done, my daugther tried to like the steak but it was a dismal failure also and we left more than half the steak untouched. We boxed it thinking we could make it better at home the next day for lunch, NOT the case, by then it was literally rancid. The sides, tough decision they all sounded good. Mushrooms were the highlight of the meal, the cabbage could have been good had we not gotten very old cabbage and the heal, causing it to be tough, but we picked though and salavaged a few pieces. again bland and lacking any discripitive flavor . We made on last attempt to love the resteraunt and ordered desert, the Creme Burlee was okay not awesome but the tres leches berry was terrific. Not enough so to redeem the meal but it was good. This meal for two people would have cost $308.00 We split a few dishes so we were closer to $200 and we dont drink so it was soft drinks only, but I will not return again for any price. The food was, in an unhelpful word, horrible. It lacked texture, taste, interest, presentation and was not worth the cost at literally any price.

Highly recommend the steak taster plate, let's you see how different finishing and aging affects the taste of the meat. The apps and sides are really great as well.

Many wonderful restaurants in Philadelphia. This is not one of them. From our experience, just about anyplace else would be better than this place.

Delicious food! Very expensive. Great service and attention from waiters. We went with our children; not the best “children friendly menu”.

We stopped here after visiting the Barnes Foundation (fantastic!). We opted for the farmer burger which was delicious. A good choice if you are in the area!

Made a reservation ahead of time while we stayed in city for family of 5. Picked it because not too far from hotel and offered a kids menu and had nice adult menu as well. Had 3 kids 12 yo or younger with us. Got a small meat plate appetizer and they brought out corn bread that was tasty. I had a boba margarita drink and my spouse got 2 drinks off their menu (one he liked and one he didn’t). I got the chicken dish which was great and spouse got French onion soup and burger. He wasn’t a fan of the soup (not typical onion soup he likes) but burger was good. Kids got chicken fingers and Mac n cheese and all were good. We split 2 desserts (fruit tart and ice cream Sundae) and was great as well. Would come back here again. Waiters were nice and refilled things without asking. Didn’t rush us out either. Had nice decor inside with lights and spaced out tables so you weren’t on top of others.

Food is pricy and mediocre, waiter rude beyond belief. Told me I didn't know what medium was after serving me a steak still cold in the middle. He then laughed after giving me the check with a 23% tip built into a $500 bill because we were 6 people. 20 years in Philadelphia and this was the worst experience by far. Anyplace is better

We dined here for dinner and breakfast the next morning when we stayed at the Hilton Logan. It's a farm to table restaurant with a limited, but creative and amazing menu. Our server at dinner, Drew (Andrew) was attentive and shared helpful knowledge about each entree. Everything was delicious. The included cornbread made in a can was exceptional! Even the sides and starters are huge, so be careful how much you order. The edgy, minimalist and modern decor is a conversation starter if nothing else. The noise and decor keep it from being a 5-star and romantic restaurant - But the food is not to be missed.

Both food and cocktails are amazing, the staff are very friendly and eager to please, the atmosphere in the restaurant was perfect and not too loud either, definitely worth a visit!

Went here for dinner solely based on Tripadivsor reviews. And I'm so glad that I did! Seated immediately at 6pm on a Friday evening, thank goodness we had reservations. All four entrees that were ordered were perfect (I had the scallops). I will definitely return when I'm back in town!

My friends and I went after work for dinner. We had a 740 reservation , we sat outside. We where seated right away , the staff was very friendly . I was under impressed with the menu selections , and for the price maybe put a carrot or two on the plate with protein. The steak was good not great . The food was Good , not great . I guess your paying to sit on the Parkway!

With reservations, and anticipating a great first travel end of day sit down, we waited 55 minutes for the food to be brought to us. The salmon I ordered came with no sides.. just a rectangle of fishy tasting salmon and a few sprigs of curly lettuce and a dripping of a sauce around the edge. Had to order soup to appease my hunger and that was also disappointing. The cheese was crunchy… maybe sat all day?? The chicken dish ordered was just ok. It could have been cooked longer and was luke warm. With drinks, this total was $139! Well NOT worth it. It left me disappointed that we couldn’t rely on the in hotel restaurant when returning from a busy day out in the city.

Kathy with a K was excellent. She provided considerate and thoughtful service throughout our entire dining experience. She expertly recommended several items on the menu, of which we ordered many, including the steak tasting flight. The steaks were cooked to perfection, and thanks to Kat, we will definitely be back. Love Gary and the Shermans

Was in town to visit our son and celebrate my husband's 4th of July birthday; stayed at the Embassy Suites on Benjamin Franklin Parkway; we saw this restaurant while we were out walking; my daughter and I decided to try it for dinner (we made reservations); took us only 5 minutes to get there from our hotel; loved the look and feel of the restaurant; though we were served the regular complimentary rolls/bread, we were also served cornbread in can! Aside from Crackel Barrel, which is a totally different type of restaurant, (LOL!), we have never been served cornbread. But, it was good! Of course, the server emptied the cornbread on a little plate in front of us, but it was neat just the same - different. We both enjoyed our meals. Also, possibly in keeping with the "farm theme", apparently each table is given a small packet of seeds! So cool!!!

Great service, good food that would have been excellent were it not for the steak being a bit on the cool side by the time it arrived. Sides were pipping hot and enough for two people.

We ate breakfast here twice during our stay in Philadelphia. Both times the service and food were excellent. The prices were slightly more reasonable than the breakfast at our hotel and the menu was more diverse and interesting. My wife and I would wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant.

Really a special place; it has a creative menu, fine staff, and great food. Laid out nicely to give you a bit more privacy. Items that we ordered that were quite good: cornbread, Caesar salad, cheese plate, crab omelet, and French onion soup. Suggest you give this one a try...but make sure you have reservations.

I stayed at the hotel, and had breakfasts and two dinners here. Fantastic breads, friendly, competent service. Not cheap, but worth the price.

My husband and I were in Philadelphia for our anniversary in April 2023. We made reservations to have dinner at Urban Farmer before we were attending a concert. I had mentioned on the reservation that this was for an anniversary. When we arrived we were greeted with well wishes on our anniversary. We thought that was sweet. We eat had a wonderful meal and dessert. We would definitely eat here again!

We came here for breakfast twice during our recent stay at The Logan hotel, which is connected to Urban Farmer. Our breakfast dishes were so good and even our two boys loved the kids menu! With the check we received a bag of seeds to plant, which was perfect as we are just planning our home garden!

This was, I believe, the fourth time we've eaten here - we keep going back bc the food and drinks are so good, the service is great, and the tables are spaced far enough apart that we can have a conversation in regular voices. Our table of 6 started with the charcuterie board, then had various steaks, eggs, and salads for brunch, along with many of the featured cocktails. Everything was very well-made, delicious, and we were not hurried through our meal - I think we sat there for 2 1/2 hours eating and talking. A very reliable good meal in a lovely room with great service - what more can you ask for?

Stayed at The Logan, they do room service for Hilton Curio Logan Hotel. They bring the food in a paper box, one paper napkin wrapping plastic cutlery. Hotel is 4 star and Hilton, more like a youth hotel delivery presentation of food deliver to room. Never at a Hilton or 4 star hotel.

We went for brunch on Saturday and loved the look and feel. It is spacious, comfortable and tasteful. They did a great job of merging a modern and rustic look together. We were promptly seated and served by a friendly, knowledgeable and passionate waiter who explained the menu to us and suggested the steak tasting menu consisting of four distinctly different selections: grass-fed, brandt prime1855 beef, 21 day dry aged and Wagyu. This was pure delight for two to share accompanied only by a Kale and Brussels sprout salad so we could focus on the steaks. They were perfectly cooked and we were able to compare and contrast the flavours ultimately agreeing on the superiority of the Wagyu but enjoying the merits of all. A perfect afternoon for foodies. We will go back for dinner.

My husband and I stayed at the logan for our anniversary and decided to enjoy breakfast here. The food was amazing and the service was even better. I have a food allergy and our server Kathy went above and beyond to breakdown the menu for me and even share options not listed like the fact they offer gluten free toast. She was super sweet and kept us laughing. Thanks Kathy for getting our day started off right!

The Urban Farmer restaurant has a decent selection of breakfast items inside the Logan Hilton Hotel. My room at this hotel came with discounted breakfast at this restaurant, so I had the smoked salmon & cream cheese on an everything bagel. This was tasty, and was prepared in a reasonable amount of time on a busy weekday morning.

The restaurant and bar area are beautiful - a fun, hip vibe without being too pretentious. Execution, however, could have been better. An old-fashioned took close to ten minutes to receive while sitting at the bar. They ran out of deviled eggs as a happy hour snack. The steaks at dinner were just ok, and our server barely average. The ambiance wouldn't be enough to bring me back - there are better options available at this price point.

Ordered the 8oz Piedmontese filet with fries. Great piece of meat. Amazing fries (possibly the best fries I’ve had). Wonderful wines by the glass. But the best was that butterscotch sundae with a blonde brownie, brittle and salted caramel. That was just sick!!!

We stayed at the hotel and decided to eat in on a rainy night. We had burgers that were really amazing, and a great glass of beer. Service was good and the tables were big and with social distance that I really liked.

Sale with shrimp was delicious!! My son had roast beef sandwich!! My husband hamburger with fries !! All cooked to perfection!!

Met a colleague for lunch prior to an afternoon meeting in the city. Fantastic service and a great menu, in a funky space. The chairs at our table for two were super low but still comfortable but don’t really like sitting with my knees up hitting the table’s edge. In any case the salmon was perfectly cooked, over a vegetables and in an almost luxurious brown sauce. And as I said the service was really terrific. Will definitely be back.

Excellent food (pork chop and chicken). The atmosphere was very nice with a nice decoration (maybe the music was a bit loud, but it was still OK). The service was a bit slow and not very professional. All in all it was a good experience. Especially the food.

OK, let's get the worst part out of the way. Price! You'll spend a nice chuck of change here. (but worth it). Great for couples or families. Menu has plenty of options so most everyone should be able to find something they like. The steaks are outstanding! Good portion, cooked just right and very tasty. Our server was so friendly, attentive and helpful. The one thing we probably most liked is even though this is a higher end place it does not feel like it. Very comfortable and welcoming. Does not follow suit to be a heavy dark wood, masculine steakhouse, but rather more farm to fork like with light colored décor, with more variety and openness. Pricing is certainly more in the range of being a special celebration type place or nice date night or even business dinner, but glad we ate here, was very satisfied with the food and service. Located inside The Logan Hotel.

Our sandwiches were very good. I love weck rolls so I couldn't resist the roast beef on weck although it was not the classic weck sandwich. The sandwich was delicious. The sides were good: good fries and the side salad was ok.

Had brunch at the Urban Farmer which was located in our hotel, The Logan, during a weekend getaway. The brunch menu is limited but good. We had pancakes with Apple compote and shaved ham Eggs Benedict. Both were very satisfying and hit the spot. The Bloody Mary was just the right pick me up, nice and spicy and the service was very good. Overall a great brunch and good experience.

We stayed at adjacent Logan hotel (do not recommend to stay there) and had a dinner and a branch here. Unlike the hotel, the restaurant was superb. The service was excellent - staff was friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I love how they introduce each menu item. The food tasted very good: we had pork chops, selection of meats, salads at dinner and eggs Benedict, scrambled eggs and meats, waffles at brunch. Although the prices initially appear slightly higher; food portions are also larger, so it works out fine. Decor is very welcoming and warm. If we return to Philadelphia, we will stop by again.

A cold Saturday afternoon and we were warmed and welcomed. Service with a friendly smile, prompt, attentive and efficient. Atmosphere is a combination of kitchen, living and dining rooms. Extensive and creative menu. Very tasty meal. Attached to the Logan Hotel. Looking forward to returning.

Food is good, service was excellent. I had a bad experience with my steak coming out cold. It was promptly changed, got back to the grill and came back a charcoal. Complained again, was told I would not be charged for the steak. They did and changed that for not charging me the side. I didn’t ask for anything, just a steak properly done. Their cornbread they serve is amazing. I’d go back just for that, worth it! The menu has recently changed and I think it’s very small. Not enough choices to be coming back again. The waiter was awesome.

Overall, we had a great dinner. We started with octopus and pork belly appetizers, had dry-aged NY strip and the Barramundi special. We completed the meal with the hot apple cobbler and the signature butterscotch dessert. The appetizers were fantastic. Both cooked and seasoned well and was visually appealing. My steak was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Unfortunately, the sides that we had fell a little short for the price point. They were all under seasoned. We decided to try two desserts and they both were great. And we definitely finished the meal on a high note. Service and ambiance were exceptional and we enjoyed the overall vibe of our meal. If the food would have been better seasoned, it would have been an easy 5-star review.

The food was excellent ! Eggs cooked perfectly the potatoes roasted and creamy inside you must try the chicken cherry sausage it’s out of this world!!

We visited on a Friday night without a reservation and got a table right a away. The server was welcoming and the food served in a timely manner. The food (scallop and filet) was tasty and the dessert (chocolate) an ice on the cake. Overall a great dinning experience.

We were seeing an Exhibition at The Franklin and made a reservation here for it's proximity to the museum. It was a great choice. We first had drinks at the hotel's popular rooftop bar and when we got tired of standing around (those table reservations go quickly!), we came down and asked if we could be seated at Urban Farmer despite us being a bit early for our reservation. They seated us immediately. The food was good, the cocktails were delicious, and our server was efficient. I'll definitely keep this place in mind when I visit the area again with my kids. They are all teens and aren't picky but the menu is varied and the prices aren't too outrageous when you have to pay for a family of six.

Very nice place, attentive staff, perfect even with small children, great food. The average bill, considering you pay everywhere a little bit

We stayed at this hotel so did a to go order. Food was very good, nice selection of fresh vegetables. Food was hot and tasty.

Excellent food. Steaks are high quality. Servers are well versed on the diverse menu. Worth a visit if you are in the Logan Square area or staying at The Logan.

Good but expensive for brunch Scales 1-10 1 horrible 10 perfect Food: 9 Service: 9 Price: 5 Drinks: 7 $134 for brunch. Good drinks Food equally good but not noteworthy Service good but not friendly. Professional

This is the most unaccommodating restaurant I have ever eaten in. John was rude and would not let us sit in a booth after asking on several separate occasions. Our family was in town for a wedding, and we had children parents' grandparents coming together for a celebration only to have sour puss John rain on our happiness every time we stepped into this restaurant.

That hotel is truly a master piece. You can't go wrong with a curio hotel. Give it a try you'll be pleased with the customer service at farmers restaurant. When you dine at the bar see the following bartenders and waitress. Imo, Elliott, Charles H, Tim Johnson, and Emma the youngest waitress. They are down to earth in that restaurant they don't fake the funk. Have a good time folks enjoy it.

This is a lovely space in Center City Philadelphia. Menu is varied with lots of interesting, locally sourced options. Unfortunately I chose a daily special "Meat Pie" that I found disappointing. A hard, dense bottom crust filled with shredded meat, topped with a very pretty lattice work pastry crust. The bottom crust was hard, the filling was tepid even though the small cast iron pie plate was very hot. I am basing my "Very Good" review on the hamburger served to my friend which looked absolutely delicious. That is what I will order next time. The best part of the meal was dessert: a chocolate cake (fudge-like consistency)/hazelnut crust paired with a tiny scoop of mocha ice cream that was big enough to be nibbled on by three of us. Shocking to see that the slim glass of Diet Coke was $4.50 per. Kathy, our waitress, plugged right into our table's sense of humor and was a delight. Lunch for the three of us was $90 with tip.

The absolute best Eggs Benedict I have ever had. Avocado was a nice addition. Great service, nice atmosphere. Definitely on my list to return.

Came here for breakfast when visiting the city on business. Good service and good food - slightly expensive, but then it is a city centre location. Nice place, good decor, modern and clean.

I was disappointed in our visit overall. We were celebrating a birthday and I wanted to take my dinner companion to great steak place in Philly. Urban Farmer had many great reviews so I figured this was a no-brainer, but the food quality was mixed and consequently the meal seemed overpriced and over-hyped. [Note to self, always look for Craig LaBan's reviews first] Our server, Drew, was fantastic and perfectly attentive. Our specialty drinks were tasty, and they promptly brought some bread to munch on after we ordered but it was corn bread (???). A nice, dense Italian loaf would have been better. The good news, my Creekstone Natural Prime, Kansas, Corn-Finished Filet (cooked medium) was delicious though lonely as the sole item on the dinner plate. My side dish, Twice Baked Fingerling Potato Tart, made for a nice presentation! It was a little bland but nothing that couldn't be remedied with salt and pepper. My dinner companion didn't have the same experience with his meal. The one thing we'd come to this restaurant for, a great steak for him, was a great disappointment. My companion had the Bone-In, 30-Day, Ribeye and was very unhappy with it. First, I noticed that he wasn't so much cutting into it as he was sawing into it. He said it lacked flavor so I tried it and I had to agree. He asked for medium well, and the doneness varied from medium rare to closer to well-done, depending on the part of the cut. That pretty much set the tone for the rest of the meal so we didn't stick around for dessert. Side note: I know its name is "Urban Farmer" but the gingham shirts and jeans that the servers wear seem hokey. At these prices I think black collared shirts and black pants look would be more appropriate.

During our stay at the Logan Hotel, we ate two breakfasts and 1 dinner at the Urban Farmer.Very attentive staff, and everything was delicious!

It was raining and the outside lights attracted me in Great service from the team and especially Puja, super quality food and great location on Logan Square Reasonably priced too..glad I didn't miss it

Since we stay at The Logan Philadelphia from time to time, we often find ourselves getting breakfast here both for convenience sake and also because we just want it to be as good as it was at another location. As I've said in previous reviews of this restaurant, we were big fans of the Urban Farmer in Portland Oregon. This was the first visit here where we finally felt they have things together enough to compare with the Portland restaurant. This was a breakfast visit, too. We had reservations and got seated promptly. If you aren't familiar with this restaurant, the name pretty much says it all in terms of food and ambience. I like farm-to-table places, and this one has the added bonus of featuring steaks. Our server was super nice and enthusiastic and we were happy that he remembered to come by once in a while to check on us, although we did have to ask for coffee refills (a pet peeve of mine as even regular neighborhood diners seem to get that when you're serving breakfast somebody should be checking on coffee cup levels!). This is particularly a glitch because the coffee was really good! At any rate, outside of that, everything else was really good. My eggs benedict with shaved ham on a homemade English muffin was just lovely, and hubby debated between getting the steak tasting for his brunch but ended up with a beautiful version of steak and eggs. He said the steak was particularly delicious! We also went for a side of their housemade chicken cherry sausage. We are very much hoping that this last experience wasn't just a fluke and that we can begin to count on this as a restaurant destination not just for convenience as a hotel guest but on purpose because the food and service are at last matching expectations.

I had the best ham and cheddar omelet for breakfast with very good gluten free toast. Yay! So many places have horrible GF bread, but theirs was one of the best. I returned for lunch the next day and had a grilled chicken sandwich, which was also good . I loved those crisp, hot french fries! Our waiter was young and very attentive.

I work next door to UF and it's been a regular stop for business lunches since they opened. Today will likely be my last visit. Upon arrival, they had us wait in the "lounge area" for 5-10 minutes while three hosts tried to figure out a table in the half empty restaurant. Two of the three of us ordered the burger which is usually very good. Despite TWO tries, they couldn't manage to deliver anything that wasn't well done. Why ask for the desired temperature if you can't deliver? In addition, the size and quality have diminished over time. Our server was polite and apologetic but UF is off the list. Good thing new places are opening at the Comcast Center.

Fabulous!!!! I had steak and fries! Cooked to perfection! My sons had the roast beef sandwiches! We had the homemade bon bons for dessert!!! The waitresses were super helpful and nice!!! Highly recommend it!

The staff here was wonderful. Anytime you have a toddler in a restaurant it can be an adventure but they were definitely pros and super accommodating. The food was good and recommendations by the waitress paid off. I also appreciated the vegetarian options other than sides and salads which is unusual for a steakhouse. Not the most budget friendly place but definitely a good stop if you’re splurging.

Let's start with the positives, the waitress was terrific, and my omelet was delicious, light and fluffy stuffed full with a tasty filling. I am still trying to figure out why a $25 omelet only comes with bread, no potatoes but I asked for a side order - no idea how much they cost since they were not listed on the brunch menu. When the huge portion arrived, my first taste told me they were reheated probably from the day before and tasted like cardboard. Unfortunately, that was also true of the "house made" English muffin, stale and hard no matter how much butter they put on it. Very disappointing. The waitress asked the kitchen for fresh potatoes and those were delicious which proved the kitchen was capable of making good food if they weren't recycling from the previous day or at a minimum, hours earlier. This was 8:30 on a Saturday morning.

My sister and I decided to try them out since we work around the corner and are always looking for new restaurants. We went for lunch and were out within an hour. We both had the fish and chips which was good. They gave you three pieces of fish and plenty of french fries. It was served in a tray. Everyone was friendly and the service was good. My only complaint is that the tables are too close together. The table next to us was close enough that I could put my hand on the person's shoulder without having to reach over. You could also hear their entire conversation. I would go back but would request a booth.

This is a higher end mid-range menu. Their menu is fresh and always getting more creative. Their vibe is an elegant earthy feel, and the service is stellar. You can call ahead and reserve space. If it is a working lunch or business meeting they will do their best to accommodate your space and privacy needs. This restaurant is known for their steaks, I don't eat meat but my colleagues raved about theirs.

I went for lunch during a stay at The Logan. I wanted to like it because it had a cute vibe but I just couldn't. The food was just ok and the service was actually terrible. It took at least 10-15 minutes for my server to come over and take my drink order. As I was looking over the menu, something didn't seem right. It seemed like a dinner menu. I noticed there weren't burgers or sandwiches on the menu which would be odd for lunch. I asked the server and she said no no that's the lunch menu. I asked her to look again and then she apologized and brought a lunch menu. It took a little while for her to come back and take my lunch order. I ordered deviled eggs and a Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The one compliment I have is that there was a good amount of dressing and grated cheese. The deviled eggs were nothing to write home about and the chicken in the salad was not very good. As I was finishing up my meal, the bread that should've come at the beginning came. It just isn't a well run restaurant.
Return to old friends
I returned to Urban Farmer as a traveling consultant after 18 months in other cities. Not only were all the same bar staff still there and happy as ever, they remembered me. What what a great testimonial to the restaurant that staff stay long term, and that they recognize regulars even after that long time. Staff is attentive and considerate of requests. The food is always awesome, the house salad perfect blend of greens and vinaigrette, burger perfect every time, and the famous and amazing cornbread in a can that tastes like pudding.
