EW…. The food was terrible, and the atmosphere was even worse. Staff were rude. I would NOT recommend coming here. Atmosphere was tense, and gross. There’s hundreds of Better places to go to. This place has changed over the past few months. I’m never coming back.

On any afternoon you will see this place packed with people…. Regulars and visitors. Good drinks and a lively atmosphere make the place festive. The food is ample and typical pub fare. No surprises and good portions.

We just went to the Sunday Brunch Bash at MO’s in Hillcrest, San Diego. We had a great time from the second we arrived until we left. Conrad & his staff skillfully orchestrate the Sunday Brunch crowd like no other place in Hillcrest - it’s a must experience on any list especially as it is surrounded by other eateries so competition is high but they have it covered. The Eggs Benedict & Chicken Cordon Blue with grilled vegetables were partuculatly good & as someone who HAS to have hot (not warm) dishes my hopes & expectations were exceeded. As a former chef in Paris I am not easily impressed especially with buffets but MO’s go above & beyond. The bottomless champagne Mimosa’s were the icing on the cake. Awesome value for money & a fun place to hangout. We will definitely be back ...

Right in the middle of the gayborhood. Good burgers and comfort food. Always great spot for people watching and in the evenings there is a floor show. Take some time and visit this local.

The food is quiet good here. I especially liked the Cesar salad. If you drink, the drinks in the establishment are very strong.

Love the food, the drinks, and the people. Had so much fun at this bar hanging out with all the patrons. I will always go back to this bar!

Cool bar. Big place. Gogo dancing men during pride. We came for some drinks during pride and ended up staying the whole night there. It was a blast and they had so much going on. We loved it. Def a recommend for this place.

We met some family members here for dinner. It is a gay bar so if you have a problem with that, try elsewhere. The food and drinks were good, the service was friendly But, it was very loud, which made talking difficult..

Bring your appetite because this place is all you can eat and drink brunch is not to be missed! Pretty big selection on brunch food items such as omelet station, waffles, pancakes, french toast as well as staple items like bagels, eggs as well as egg Benedict, potatoes as well as fresh fruits, cereal and the drink can include anything from coffee, juice and even mimosas! For one price so much tasty food is hard to miss visiting this great spot. Our server Marisol was amazing! her customer service skills were on point and made us feel very welcomed. Even cook Luis stopped by our table and checked in to see how we were doing and asked how the food was. Loved getting such special attention from staff and loved the atmosphere of the place, also found out that during the weekend they have music and dancing.

We had a great time at MO's having drinks and lunch. The crowd was very friendly and the patio is perfect for enjoying the weather and having fun with your friends. Can't wait to go back!

So I'm in SD visiting my sister/for work, and she took me here for what she says calls "a bomb salad." It wasn't crowded at all, and the friendly host walked us top our table. Drinks were served right away as we pondered over a really good sized menu. My intention was to get the Italian Stallion salad, but when I saw the list of burgers, I couldn't resist. So we decided to get the salad and the Hangover Burger to share. I would have given this place a 5, but our food took pretty long...over 30min. Maybe because I wasn't drinking alcohol and we were hungry that the time just seemed to drag on. Anyway, while we waited, I was told that they have shows over the weekend that are highly entertaining. Wish this was the weekend. While waiting and talking to the customers next to us, and they confirmed that the drinks were pretty strong, as others claimed in previous reviews. The salad was full of flavor, filled with salami and cheese, while tossed in a tangy vinaigrette. ..but it was the burger that I couldn't get over. This monstrosity of a meal was more than I expected it to be. A homemade patty cooked to a perfect medium well, covered by a slice of cheddar, a giant onion ring, hash brown, bacon, and a medium done egg, and of course with thick cut fries on the side. Now unless your mouth can be unhinged, trying to bite into this seems impossible. I had to take the knife and fork to it :( not my usual choice of attack. Hoping to head back here during the weekend when it's said to be rockin'. I've passed here before on previous visits, and I've seen it packed wall to wall with people. So if or when, I'd definitely eat here again!

Food and drinks served fast and friendly. Alex was our server and he was fun. Drinks are cheap but food was a little pricey, until you see it. They are large plates. Look around before ordering. You may want to share a plate.

Lisette made our evening memorable looking after our group with care. We were a large and rowdy bunch and she made our evening. Great onion rings. Be careful of sitting in the smoking section.

So much fun , Great Bartenders and Music !!! Great place to stop in as a local , or if you're on vacation. A don't miss !

Join the party. An eclectic grouping of people that enjoy great music, superb service and an enjoyable menu. They have a program that covers all bases. Country dance lessons, shake your booty on the dance floor with an incredible video wall, shoot the "breeze" with your new best friend at the bar....cabaret shows. The food is delicious and even better because you're having such a good time. Enough Said. A San Diego institution.

Date of Visit: Monday, October 6th 2025 Overall Rating: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Service: ⭐☆☆☆☆ Value: ⭐⭐☆☆☆ Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Food & Drinks: ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ Detailed Review: I have always believed Mo’s to be a cornerstone of San Diego’s inclusive spirit — a place where community, friendship, and belonging meet over good food and good company. Unfortunately, my most recent experience shattered that perception. On Monday evening, October 6th, 2025, around 7:30 PM, I encountered an incident with one of the bar staff that left me both humiliated and deeply disappointed. The barman refused to serve me after falsely accusing me of asking other patrons to buy me drinks — an accusation that was entirely untrue and damaging to my reputation. As a visually impaired immigrant from South Africa, legally living and working in the United States with valid documentation, I have faced my share of challenges. I work hard to be a contributing member of the San Diego community, including serving with organizations such as Lived Experience Advisors, Knights of Columbus, and The Imperial Court. I am also organizing the World Homeless Day Festival at the County Administration Building this week — an event focused on unity, dignity, and compassion. To be treated as if I were dishonest or unwelcome was shocking. I had ordered cheese sticks and a Coca-Cola, totaling $9.15, and paid for them in full via my Chime Bank account. I do not drink heavily, due to severe asthma and steroid medication, and I have never asked anyone — at Mo’s or elsewhere — to purchase anything for me. What made this worse was the barman’s hostile tone and threat to call security to remove me, despite my calm demeanor. I have never caused a disturbance and often come to Mo’s simply to relax, work quietly on my phone, or greet friends such as those introduced to me by influential patrons. Mo’s Official Ethos vs. the Reality I Experienced Mo’s website proudly declares: “You are a stranger here but once.” “Our team carries on the legacy …” This statement represents values of community, hospitality, inclusion, and legacy — the promise that everyone who walks through your doors will be treated as family. Sadly, my experience on October 6th did not live up to this ethos. Mo’s Ethos What Mo’s Promises What Actually Happened Why It Matters “You are a stranger here but once.” Every guest is welcomed, never alienated. I was refused service and threatened with removal based on false assumptions. This made me feel like an outsider in a place that should celebrate diversity and belonging. “Legacy and hospitality.” Respectful, family-style service that reflects the establishment’s tradition. The barman’s accusatory behavior contradicted that professionalism entirely. Such actions risk tarnishing the very legacy Mo’s is proud of. “Local inclusion.” A safe, open space for everyone — regardless of background. As a foreign-born, visually impaired patron, I felt profiled and demeaned. This contradicts the inclusive mission that Mo’s publicly upholds. ________________________________________ My Reflection I want to be clear — I appreciate and commend Ethan, Vincent, and the rest of the team for their empathy and professionalism. They truly embody what Mo’s advertises. But one staff member’s conduct can damage years of goodwill. As someone who works with nonprofits and is starting my own creative and sports initiative for visually impaired youth, I understand the importance of accountability. I respectfully urge Mo’s owner, Matty Ramon, to review the security footage from that evening and take appropriate corrective action. No customer should ever feel disrespected, especially in an establishment known for its community values. Mo’s has the potential to remain one of San Diego’s most welcoming spaces — but only if its staff consistently uphold the values, it proudly promotes. In Summary: Mo’s claims, “You are a stranger here but once.” Sadly, on that night, I was made to feel like one — entirely and unmistakably. – Brendan Lulofs

Mo's is a very fun place and surprisingly for a bar the food is pretty good, HUGE menu, but servers always do a great job recommending the best and also pretty good accommodating requests. It could be busy and loud which could be good or bad depending on what you are looking for. The drinks could seem a little overpriced ,but believe me they are strong, so not a bad deal after all.

On a recent visit to San Diego to escape a Maine winter, we decided to have dinner on a Tuesday night..It was show tune night and the restaurant was loud and noisy and wonderfully fun. Our server was attentive and helpful with our food and drink choices . The food was well prepared and delicious.and we all had great fun. We all said that we would all return many times in the future. Hillcrest is my favorite place in San Diego.

Urban Mo's is a fantastic bar/restaurant. The wait staff is made up of VERY friendly, hot men. The food portions are HUGE!!! It's an all around fun place to drink and eat. The drinks are strong and cheap. HELPFUL HINT: happy hour is 2pm-6pm daily, except Friday when it's 2pm-7pm. Also, read the waiter's shirts to get a good deal on inebriation!!! Check out my pics, the steak salad had HUGE pieces of meat. Hey friends of Dorothy, I know you like big meat, especially in a salad!! Lots of protein, few calories. Have fun here and remember, there's no fate but what we make!?!?! Huh? Sarah Connor you crazy!!

Great food, great drinks, always a great place to meet up with friends! I have had a lot of the items on the menu and always left happy.

This is one of my favorite places in San Diego. The food is great, and the drinks are strong. It's always a good time here, whether it's for brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner, or just drinks. They have drag shows, dancing, and a great place to hang out.

This is must for lunch whenever we are on San Diego. Fun, upbeat, good food, great music. Service is good, Marcus was great!

Great bar that serves good food along with good drinks. I ordered the chicken tender basket with fries. I thought it was pretty good for bar food. The bartender was very friendly and the vibe here was real nice.

When I am in town I must go to MO’s. The food and drinks are amazing and priced reasonably. The staff and patrons are always fun and friendly. This is just a great place to relax and feel good. The menu is way beyond pub food. Everything is fresh and creative but never strange or freaky to be different. Food looks like food here. If you are unsure of what you want to drink the bartenders will create something for you on the fly. I always feel good when I leave MO’s.

Have to say, have been to Urban Mo's a few times when visiting San Diego, but went for dinner last night, Sunday, I usually sit at the bar, and all the Bartenders were busy chatting and having fun versus wanting to take care of a new customer coming in, but they others were also buying them shots so I had to wait about 5 minutes just to get a menu, which seemed like a bother to them. The food was good once I got it, and the service was good, once someone could finally break free from taking shots.

We stopped in to eat dinner at Urban Mo's Bar & Grill before going out on the town in San Diego. The waitstaff was so funny and very efficient and could have been a model in GQ! After having just arrived in San Diego from a long day of traveling the top priority was comfort food. The server suggested the Chicken Pot Pie which was delicious! The drinks were strong and they had country western dance lessons going on in the back. WAY COOL! Highly recommend hitting this place to kick off your evening while in San Diego's Hill Crest area!

Great Service, food, drinks, atmosphere! Always lively group, Breakfast ,lunch,dinner...food is always perfect!! Nightclub bar /dining so dont be surprised by the noisy but FUN crowd. In fact , Open minded friendly people are a must!

Urban MO's has alway been a staple in San Diego and will always be. I was so excited that they were open and we really enjoyed our afternoon there. I am sure we would have stayed longer had we not had to get home. They always have great music and great drinks. I have been here a few times and have always enjoyed my visits. This is a great place to grab a drink with friends and catch up.

Great food and drinks. The staff are very friendly, prices worth it. Great location and parking aren't hard

The burgers, even the veggie burgers, were big and delicious! Super filling meal. Good service, full bar, fun atmosphere.

We were in town for just one night. We went to Urban Mo's for drinks. The margaritas are good and the service is great and there's lots of cute guys on either side of the bar.

You'll get hungry and happy no matter when and what. Service is always the best and food is fresh. You can be so relax and be yourself and eat drink...

We stopped in here during our visit 2 times and enjoyed it every time. The food is good and the servings are huge. Good drinks and atmosphere. If you want something quite then don't go here as this is a bar with music but very enjoyable.

Every time I visit San Diego, I make a point to stop in for a great bite and lets not forget a good cocktail. Wait staff have been working for the restaurant for years, and always make me feel back at home when I come to visit.

We ate here twice during our two days in San Diego. The first time because my husband fondly remembers the days when it was Hamburger Mary's, the second time because we enjoyed it enough to come back. We had lunch both days and the food was solid, though unremarkable. Salads, burgers, sandwiches, they were all fine. The service, however, was very gay and very friendly. I especially loved the signs that say, "Hey, Diva! Ask a host if you want to see at this table." The cute twinks acting as hosts were fun and frank, and they were most of why we decided to return. If you do go, expect to get some sass and banter. Throw some shade right back and enjoy!

The crowd is very happy and very mixed and the environment is super fun - we loved eating on the outdoor covered seating. Our waiter was so friendly. Food was tasty and drinks were strong. Decent prices as well. So glad we were able to be a part of the good vibes here.

We had people in from out of town. The worst experience I've ever had in a bar in Hillcrest. Took forever to get a drink and they were horrible. We just left them, as we tried to get the bartenders attention and he ignored us. Just awful.

Wow do they pour a drink. Happy hour cocktails were off the charts. Only need one of those. Ordered some snacks to eat at the bar and all were great. Our bartender was one of the best I've encountered anywhere. The place was jammed and he got us drinks in a blink, same with the food and all with a great attitude and smile.

Very good atmosphere and music, excellent service with great workers. Menu with a very good quality-price ratio

It’s a staple. You can’t call yourself a proud member/supporter of the lgbt community of you haven’t paid a visit at Urban Mo’s. Expect a great atmosphere. Friendly staff and great drinks! There’s a reason why they serve the most amount of alcohol in all of Hillcrest! I mean who doesn’t love Mo’s!!!!?

Urban Mo's is a fun place for everyone. In the Hillcrest area of San Diego. The food is good from the burgers and fries to salads. A great places to grab a bit to eat and hang out with friends. On Sunday they have a good brunch and bottomless Mimosas. Always a great time...

I was there with friends and probably they have the strongest drinks in San Diego. The food was just ok and there was no one when we where there. Nice patio and nice helpful waiters

First, this is definitely a gay restaurant. Don't go if you would not feel comfortable with a gay atmosphere. Burgers are VERY good. Drinks are strong. They have drink specials on the weekend afternoons. Our waitress was FUN FUN. She was friendly, full of information, and made our meal! But I just can't remember her name.

I will admit when we arrived in Hillcrest, we were coming to a specific place that was closed for dinner on Monday nights, Mo's was not our first choice. Not being familiar with the neighborhood, we reluctantly stopped in a got a table in the nonsmoking bar section. It turn out to be a good choice for drinks and dinner in a casual, friendly place. The margarita special proved to be a nice surpise as did the burgers, cooked to order and the giant club sandwich, that we could see meat being sliced fresh for through the swinging kitchen door. Service was very friendly as was the crowd milling around. We happened to come on the night that the patrons gather around a large screen TV to watch RuPaul's Drag Race. Apparently on occasion, one of the stars of the show appears! A fun time was had by all!

If you want to have a fun time stop by Mo's. We go there every trip to San Diego, CA. The food is good. The drinks are great!!!!! If you don't have a good time when you are there you don't want to have a good time. The staff are a blast. The crowd is always different and always entertaining. Mo's is a place you can go to just to eat or you can go just to party. We alway do both.

GREAT DRINKS < HEAVY POUR> Freindly staff and good food no matter what time of day. always hopping with people.

Our bartender Mike was excellent! We've never been here before but definitely will be back! Friendly staff, Mike even told us about their entertainment (crazy fun!), the delicious food....(The potpie and mashed potatoes looked incredible) and drink specials! The place is huge, room enough for you and all you friends. Make sure to stop in for the fun!!!

Hillcrest hub. Great place to grab a burger and a beer on a weekend afternoon or meet friends in the patio bar area. Great energy and mix of people.

The food was great from burger to steak. The place is hopping and staff was on there game. Will go back again if in San Diego

The bar was recommended by the bartender from The Hole, for a more quintessential San Diego experience, so my boyfriend and I headed over there on a Saturday night. We found the spot to be bursting with energy, from all three sections of the establishment, whether it was the restaurant, the bar, or our favorite part, the dance floor. We sipped our beers (big pours from the friendly bartenders) and watched more traditional country dancing to line dancing. The DJ did a great job leading off a few line dances herself. All the great energy and fun inspired my boyfriend to look into country/line dancing back home in NYC.

This is a welcoming to all gay bar. If that makes you uncomfortable, please read on anyway. This is in Hillcrest, the gay center of town. There is considerable pride here and for good reason. It's a center of creativity and fun. It's also home to really warm and welcoming people who don't judge others. So if this is something new to you, give it a try. If you are part of the community, by all means go. This place is a lesson in being serious about one's work but not taking life too seriously. Their food is delicious, plentiful, fun, creative but non-threatening. In other words, not at all influenced by the horrific now defunct two Scottsdale cooking schools which are wreaking havoc on San Diego at the moment. This is very upscale diner food. You can get a great burger or create your own. You can get steak and eggs with hash browns. You can get a "breakfast sandwich" which any Canadian would love. Grilled, buttered toast, sausage, scrambled eggs, caramelized onions with Balsamic glaze, and GRAVY! If they added potatoes this could be poutine from heaven. I've tried more things on the menu than I can count and everything always come up great and in large quantity and great value for money. The servers are very friendly and helpful and the bartenders are just wonderful mixologists. Mo's opens at 9AM with a full menu. Breakfast items are available until 1PM. Breakfast, lunch and dinner all at the same time in a town where most restaurants don't open for lunch until noon. A nice touch on the timing. I consider this place one of the very best values in town.

Lets start off saying Mo's is in the LGBT part of town and frequented mostly by. So if you are phobic or prejudice don't go here. That being said the food is always good, portions large, service friendly, has a vibrant bar scene and indoor as well as outdoor seating Dance floor picks up at night.

Great place for casual dining. Food is very good. Service is really good as well. The price ranges for food is $14-15.95 for most meals. The drinks/cocktails are generally pretty strong and always in tall glasses. We enjoy the atmosphere.

Regardless of your lifestyle, there is no denying that Mo's produces the wildest selection of great hamburgers in San Diego with both quantity and quality. With all the generous food, there is little room left for their desserts, which are also good. Drinks are premium and tasty. Customers are usually adults although children are welcome. This was formerly Hamburger Mary's, which is now defunct in California. That's where the great burgers originated. The service is friendly and helpful. They will make sure you know of all the choices and will change items to meet your wishes. The patio is a great area to eat in and, if you are a smoker, smoking is allowed here. In the inner areas, there is still much openness to the street. There is also a large dance area that becomes a disco in the evenings. Great place for people watching and engaging friendly souls in conversation. Everyone is welcome and immediately becomes part of the extended family. While they serve other sandwiches and dinner dishes, the burgers win hands down for all of San Diego. A burger and brew will keep you and your friends happy for the rest of the day.

Food is expensive and overrated. Drinks aren’t great. Service was excellent but who wants to empty their wallet for mediocre food, drink and lame music? Not me.

I don’t get the appeal. Food was nasty as were the mixed drinks. Philly was too big, meat falling everywhere and very salty. Fries tasted like they were made hours ago. Kick Ass Margarita is making me kick myself for ordering it. Service was alright. I don’t want to come back.

I went with four other hetero girls on a Monday night and even though the atmosphere was more chill than a typical Friday or Saturday night, we still had a blast. Our waitor, Jesse, was super friendly and he's even on the cover of the menu! The food was AMAZING as well. I highly recommend the salsa and guacamole appetizer. They also have a really delicious strawberry margarita!

The Sunday Brunch here is a blast! Good value at $19.99. , Our champagne kept flowing. The buffet was a bit disappointing for us. 4 different egg dishes (scrambled, quiche, frittata, and omelettes made to order), but only two meat entrees. We decided we would definitely return, but not because of the food. Maybe we will order off the menu next time, and add the bottomless champagne for $10. Despite the unbalanced buffet offerings, I am still giving it a 5 score because it was such a fun time!

Really great bar in the gay quarter of San Diego. Fantastic and friendly service. Jordan was a superstar. Didn’t eat, but the portions looked very generous.

This is a friendly and inviting restaurant/bar in the LGBT community of Hillcrest. Covered outside seating creates a comfortable environment. Metered street parking is available but you may have to drive around to find a spot. Tables are large so one didn't feel cramped like at so many restaurants. The facility is older but well kept. Our party of 4 arrived about 1pm and were immediately greeted by a friendly host and promptly seated. Sitting next to the bar turned out to be kind of loud so next time I will sit further away so those in my party can comfortable hear each other. Our server, Johnny, was very good. He had tremendous knowledge of the menu, was friendly, kept our drinks full at all times, and, upon our request, gladly took a picture of us before we left. Mo's has an extensive menu including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, burgers, seafood, and pasta. They have a bar with full beverage service. Lunch portions were huge, presented well, and all menu items our party had were very tasty. The Oriental and Italian wraps were especially good. Prices were moderate but competitive. Each of us in our party said they would return to eat here again. Would definitely recommend anyone eating here. My opinion is that Mo's offers great value for your money.

I realized as I walked up that this was the old "Hamburger Mary's" in San Diego. That was a fun place, but the think this incarnation has that one beat! Had great drinks and a bite to eat on a busy Saturday evening in "the district." Ostensibly a gay spot, but that means little these days for those who want to unwind in a semi-uninhibited atmosphere. Recommended as a "go to" place.

Bar food in an expansive multi dining room facility right on university. Nice staff and great food make this a good stop. Diverse crowd. Local workers and tourist eating here. Large space and menu. Grilled chicken salad was huge and the tuna comes in an avocado but they switched to stuffing a melon on request which was appreciated. Vibe of a busy place at night. Mixed crown enjoying good food. Large salad was 11.75. Windows near south side will be open with shade and are nice for people watching.

Loved the vib! I did feel as a single dinner/bar patron they were a bit dissmissive, could be me, but others seem to have gotten more attention/sevrice, not recommeded for single dinning, but if in a group, could/should be a great time!!!!

Fun place for Gay men and straight women .. Of course many straight men go there with their gif or wives.. Great staffs .. Best Sunday brunch . WOW ..

Whilst in San Diego, we visited Urban Mo’s twice. On the first evening we were shown to our table and introduce to our waiter Chris. Chris was brilliant from the moment we met him, he took an active interest in us and not only did he recommend food choices he also took the time to give us advice on where to go and how long to spend at places. He really made us feel welcome and seemed really interested in hearing about our road trip. For dinner I ordered the red wine braised short ribs, there was so much meat it could have easily have served two of us. The rib was cooked to perfection and was complimented by the mashed potatoes. The dish is also supposed to come with grilled asparagus, I asked if I could substitute this for a different vegetable. When the meal came out Chris also brought out a skillet of vegetable at no extra charge. We returned to Urban Mo’s a couple of days later and was disappointed that Chris wasn’t working as we wanted to thank him again for the information he provided. It certainly helped us make the most of our stay in San Diego. On the second evening, I had the sirloin steak again this was cooked to my liking. Urban Mo’s offers good value for money. I would certainly return.

Had a recommendation for this bar to pay a visit. So we did. Bar was nothing too special, local bar. Drag queens was performing there, they were OK but have seen better too. One thing I did not like, is smoking inside the bar. Prizes was reasonable and wine was good.

Had drinks one evening and returned on another night for drinks and dinner. Friendly and courteous staff and delicious food.

FANtastic place to visit and enjoy the scenery. Great location in Hillcrest. We came here on Memorial Day weekend...Sunday night was jam-packed busy from the time we got there (4:30pm) til the time we left (I have no idea since we were so drunk). Great prices, great employee service, fun attitudes. A definitely place to return every time I am in SD!

HUGE sandwiches, served open-face, Very tasty. I recommend the Steak-Philly; and the Guac-Burger looked good. Large portions of steak fries. Large cocktails. Wait-staff are all friendly & social. Loved the tutu's for the hosts/hostesses.

My friend and I stopped here for Sunday breakfast on the way to the airport. It is nicely laid out for indoor/outdoor dining. The staff are great fun and very witty! And the Sunday brunch is VERY ample...drinks included. Service was a bit slow, so it took a while to even get water! But, very fun place for brunch!

Because this place was owned as part of a group of other places in Hillcrest, (Hillcrest Brewing Company being one of them which was amazing) we wanted to give it a go for breakfast. When we arrived it was reasonably busy but we didn't have to wait. They were in the process of putting up decorations for Memorial Day celebrations but that didn't interfere with the food service. We ordered the steak and eggs which came with toast and ordered extra fruit, and the simple breakfast (3 eggs, hash browns, rye toast and added grilled ham). The steak was cooked perfectly, as were the eggs - sunny side up. The waitress was so friendly and chatty and always aware if you needed your coffee topped up. We can't fault the service or the food and it's a shame we didn't eat here during an evening as looked like a very fun and lively place. Worth noting that from 9am-11am it looked liked they have breakfast specials of a slightly reduced $5.99 menu but excellent prices for which we just missed. They also have happy hour specials from 3-6pm as we walked past there one day around that time and the place was packed.

This place is awesome. Very fun especially on the weekends. Great place to bring friends for a drink or grab a bite. The portions are big and the drinks are delicious. The atmosphere is hip and busy. You will not get bored hanging out here!

the village people + betty page +trans and dragqueens ... all in one place with great food / friendly service ask for the big fat*ss margarita

MO's is a fun bar and restaurant. Very typical pub grub and quite good. It was pretty busy on this Friday night and the noise level was pretty high. Drinks are dangerous here :).

No matter the day, there's always fun to be had at Mo's! Friendly bartenders, dancing and characters of San Diego ensure an experience any day of the week.

Loved the service..food is good..i ordered a hamburger with thousand island dressing..wished it had more dressing.. Anyhow our waiter was friendly and very sweet..i believe his name is marcus..i will go back for sure....in the heart of hillcrest.

Fun time at Sunday brunch. Bottomless mimosas were yummy and the servers were great and friendly. Food was decent, ambiance was awesome!

This and gay friendly hetero friendly Bar and Restaurant great Burgers great happy hour very good drinks the bartender during the day Jason is just such a friendly fellow and makes you feel like you've known the place for years on my first visit there I was so happy I actually went back second day

Been coming here for years and never disappoints!! Drinks are strong and free poured. Also food is absolutely amazing Definitely try the artichoke chicken ciabbatta...hands down, one of the best sandwiches i have ever had.

The food was very tasty. Drinks were good. The entertainment was the best. Tuesday night Show Tunes night is a blast.

Big lae - two bars. All ages. We did not eat there, but the place was packed - food must be good! Very friendly staff!

Just a fun filled bar/restaurant for strong drinks and okay food. But the people watching and music make this place a fun place to go! Not quite...

Camie Laura Nick Mike Jim all were great. Served us well had a good time. Great drinks. Very good food. Nice people and guests we will return. Dale and Joel

This place is fabulous--the drinks, the food, the entertainment. It is non-stop action with tons of locals and visitors from around the world. Diversity plus in people and food. The energy keeps you standing even way past your bedtime.

I was originally going to stop at the bar for drink but, decided to have a late lunch. I'm so glad I did. I had the Mediterranean Stuffed Burger with Steak Fries and a Black Lemonade. Service was on point (despite the busy restaurant/bar conditions). Everyone truly seemed to be having a great time throughout. They have a frequent visit card (which makes it enticing to visit often).

Had the namesake "Mo's Burger". Amazing. Juicy, delicious, huge! But the service is what really makes the experience. Always attentive, always smiling. Quick, but not too quick. You don't feel like they are rushing you.

If you like your drinks strong, Mo's is the place for you! Great drinks, great music and people watching that can't be beat. Come join the fun!

Urban Mo's is a former Hamburger Mary's. It still has all of the same features of a hamburger Mary's. (Only the name is changed. My partner and I went a couple of times during our visit. We like to sit on rail and people watch the gayborhood. You must purchase food to sit on at the rail by the windows. They have inexspensive appitizers and drink specials. RuPaul plays on all the tv screens and a drag queen hosts a party in the drag room during the show. Had a good time. If you want to sit in the show room you must show up early and wait til it opens. (a couple of hours) We did not do that. Mostly younger gay men and some straight women. Gets very crowded.

The Killer Margarita was good and very strong. The food was so-so. The atmosphere was nice with different seating areas inside and outside. This would probably be a nice place to get together with friends for drinks and appetizers.

It is giving, Gay meets Rainforest Cafe. Love it and highly recommend to anyone looking to visit the San Diego area. 10/10

I grew up in San Diego and lives in Mission Hills before moving to AZ. My EX and I use to visit HamberMary's weekly as they had one of the best burgers in town. Today's the place is called Urban Mo's, it's hamberburger Mary's with a different name, the same great burger, and the same high energy as before... I just wish parking was easier then it is...

We were looking to experience the LGBT community in san diego and chose (the bar) to be our first stop. As soon as you walk in the first thing you see are people dancing and having a good time which makes you think you are at a club but once you look to your left you see the dining area with people having a bite to eat! its a bit of both actually, just depends on what you wanna do…clubbing, eat or both this place got it all! music was awesome, people were having a good time, food was decent pub style food, wasn’t a big fan of the drinks but oh well! The staff were super friendly and helpful, We were looking for a “Bear” scene and this location is definitely not bearish at all which is fine, it was still quite entertaining and a fun experience!

Fun place to stop for a drink, brunch, or happy hour. The menu has something for everyone. There are healthy salads, as well as plenty of sandwich and entree options. There is a nice outdoor patio area that alternates between dining area and bar space. A great place to enjoy Sunday Funday.

I have been going to the same gay restaurant/bar for breakfast for about 17 years...I order the same thing each time. Steak and eggs, sourdough toast and French fries with a side of ranch. I understand the cost of doing business in San Diego is getting expensive, but I have to give my 2 cents. When I first started going to this restaurant, you would get a good sized steak, 3 eggs, 2 whole slices of toast (4 halves) and a mound of fries. Today, I got a small steak, 2 eggs, 1 slice of toast (2 halves) and 8 French fries (yes, I counted them). My total price for breakfast with tip came to $22.48.....which to me is a lot for what little I got. Again, I know San Diego is expensive, but restaurants should not skimp to make a larger profit margin.

What an afternoon! Brunch was fantastic... those queenz need a runway and a TV show of their own! Met some great guys at our table. Burger fantastic.... just a tip, watch your drink. My glass was never empty! A sore head on Sunday but would recommend the drag brunch here to anyone.

The staff are amazing so very friendly and the food is great at a good price. Always go to Mo's when visiting San Diego. Keep up the good work!!
