Just wandered into this place to have a drink. Wound up staying for a few hours and had a great time. Ordered some food to go and loved the garlic bites. Would highly recommend the Moscow mule with strawberrys and basil!

The Nona’s pizza special was made to perfection. Nice and crisp and cheesy. So good. My server was really cool and funny and tended to my baby.

Our layover was long enough to be selective about where we ate, so we detoured to Terminal A to try Varasano's Pizzeria. We are glad we did. Their thin crust pizza was delicious! My husband, who has spent time in Italy, said it tasted just like authentic Italian pizza. Pizzas may be ordered from the friendly wait staff at your table in the small seating area or from the "To Go" window. Nice wine list. Adjacent piano bar. Not your typical airport food!!

Great quick pizza, Duran H was great - took care of me and made sure everything met expectations. A great spot to eat at A gates!

The atmosphere is great and the staff have been amazing! Thanks Duran H. for the hospitality as I waited between flights!

STAFF BEAUTIFUL AND KIND, DESTINI THAT TOOK MY ORDER WAS VERY KIND AND HELPFUL!! PIZZA PERFECT!! WILL BE BACK WHEN COMING TO ATLANTA GEORGIA AIRPORT

Varasanos bills itself as one of Americas elite pizzas, and for food, I would agree. We ordered two pizzas and both were excellent. We found the margurietta pizza to be our favorite. This is amazingly good food considering its airport location. The negatives were on cleanliness and service. Our chairs were full of crumbs and the floors weren't clean even though we ate just before noon. Our waitress was inattentive and seemed bothered when asked for anything.

Dast service by duran h and good food and drink Had fun watching the working world of the busiest airport go by my window seat

Outstanding Waitress!!!! Attentive and engaged, definitely the best service we have had in the ATL airport. Will be back soon. Thanks.

Stopped in for a relaxing lunch and drink while having a layover in ATL. Very good drinks, service, food, and atmosphere.

So I don't know how to write this review. I've never quite had an experience like I did today at Varasanos in the Atlanta Airport. The food was great, which is hard to find in the airport. However that was not the problem. What was an issue was the service. I sat the bar. It was a little less than half full at the time. There were two ladies behind the bar talking. After a few minutes a young man from behind the register on the take out side came to give me some water and ask if I wanted anything to drink. At the time I thought I just sat in his section and he covered both areas. A few more minutes went by (the two ladies were still talking) and he came back to take my order. While I waited on my pizza I watched as the two other ladies (Dimi & Leatt) served and checked on everyone else at the bar including the person to my left and when someone came at sat to my right. Then when the man to my left left and someone else sat down they tended to him as well. Did I really sit in the only seat that was not in their section? The entire time not one word was spoken to me or was I ever acknowledged. My food was brought out by a very nice man from the back. I watched this for about 45 minutes as people came and went. Even when I finished my meal not a single word. As I looked around the bar I realized I was the only person of color. This really couldn't be it I thought. I have never experienced something like this. But then I couldn't deny it. I got up and went to the take out like to pay for my food. The young man, Kurt, who took my order at the bar politely said ma'am you can pay at the bar. I explained that I could not. Just as much as those ladies did not want to serve me, I no longer wished to be served by them. It truly was an unfortunate experience. I feel for the people who have to work with these ladies everyday. I could have caused a scene but to be honest I was in so much shock. I later learned that they were both managers. I will write to the owners and encourage others who have this experience to say something as well.

Durand was a great wait staff .Friendly, professional and attentive. Busy too and made us feel like we were his priority.

If you're looking for a great time, Varasano Pizzeria is the spot! Duran and Destiny are super friendly and make sure you feel right at home while taking care of everything you need. The service is impressively fast, so you won't be waiting long for your food. And don’t forget about Victor behind the bar! He mixes up some killer drinks that go perfectly with the delicious pizzas and Italian dishes. Overall, Varasano is a fantastic place to grab a bite and enjoy a laid-back vibe. Definitely check it out for a fun meal!

Wow this pizza is incredible! The recommended by Peyton was spot on thank you!! Everyone was leaving with yummy pizzas.

The team at ATL Hartsfield Jackson was awesome! After a long day of traveling Destini’s service was fantastic and she made sure my food was great!

Amazing pizza that is as good as what I’ve had in NYC and our server Duran was great. Enjoyed some live jazz as well from a sax player

The pizza is absolutely amazing, full bar. This is always a must stop anytime we are near Terminal A. Great atmosphere with a piano player as well. I canrt wait to try his restaurant in town. Do a search on his name and you can see how dedicated he is to perfecting thr perfect pizza, plus you'll get great tips for homemade pizza.

The house special pizza is called Nana’s. Super thin crust baked in hot oven - simple but delicious! The servers are nice and the view of airplanes and vehicles is just super.

Our server, Duran was excellent. He was very attentive and took our order quickly. The bloody Mary’s were some of the best airport bloodys we have enjoyed. The cheese and sausage boards were delicious and generously sized.

Very good pizza and Destiny was fantastic! Perfect size and flavor. And Destiny was very professional and pleasant. Next time I met the airport, I’ll go back

Stopped here with my husband before a connection. We each ordered a bourbon old fashioned. Our server asked us if we wanted any special bourbon. We said nope, nothing special. When the tab came, the old fashioneds were $52! $26 each. More than we had just paid in NYC. The bartender admitted he used Angels Envy, an expensive top shelf bourbon, since we had said no preference. Sneaky, unprofessional and inexcusable. Won’t be back.

Alicia and the team were extremely nice. They got 6 pizzas ready quick so we could make our flight. The food was delicious and they were amazing.

Heard a lot of positive things about this place and I wanted to try it at the airport while in transit. The pizza was ok at best and for the $14.85 price, a very poor value. I prefer thin pizza but this was a little too thin for me and the crust was half charred. I've had better pizza even at the airport. Maybe my expectations were too high but I won't be going back again to Varasanos in Atlanta.

great place to catch a beer...and a pizza while you wait for your flight..ok service at the bar since the bartender was talking to her friends..

I gave it a try because there was a piano playing, but honestly I regret it!! It had no taste and barely any cheese, the salami was burned and the dough was full of ashes and tasted just burn. Have a 2 because of the piano, otherwise it will be a 1!!!

Destini made my long travel day much nice with her suggestion to add sausage to my margarita pizza, she was so nice and the food was great and left me full until I finished my travels.

I barely even saw this place walking through the A Terminal. It’s down by the piano bar...I’m so happy I found it! This pizza is absolutely great. Neapolitan pizza in the airport? Yes please!! Staff was great, and pizza was ready in about 5 minutes. This will be my go to place when traveling now!!

What a hidden gem! Hands down the best airport dining experience! Delicious hand thrown wood fired pizza, good wine and a damn good piano man! Don’t let the chick-fil-a line distract you from the space hidden at the back of concourse A. It’s a place I will return to for sure! Bravo!!!!

Great fresh thin crust pizza, great sauce and toppings. Live piano music with a friendly staff. Good stop if passing thru the airport

This was my last food stop on my Atlanta trip. The pizza take out is located at the far back of the center of concourse A. If you have an early flight you're out of luck because they don't open until 8:30 am. Most people are at other food courts getting breakfast items and here I decided to try this pizza. So there was a lady behind the counter. Having looked over the different pizzas I asked if I could purchase slices. I was told no, you must purchase the whole pizza. I then asked about the size of the box. It is about a 10-12 inch box-nothing smaller mind you which would make it impossible to put in your carry on. She told me your order the pizza and then it is ready in about 8 minutes. You can sit anywhere since they have a piano bar next door. The place is very neat and clean and I observed not only a lady clean my table but she later returned to take away my box when I was finished. I got my pizza that I had ordered in about 10 minutes. I ordered one with lots of veggies on it. The lady behind the counter told me that it does not come with pizza sauce but rather they use olive oil on it. However, you can get a side of pizza sauce if you wish to put it on it. The pizza is cut into 4 huge slices and has a puffed up flaky crust. The pizza was out of this world good. There is an area in the back where you can get utensils if you wish to cut it. The only other thing the have to carry it with is napkins. Not wishing to mess up the contents of my carry on I ate the entire pizza. This is one pizza I would recommend sharing if you are traveling. There are however, a downside to it. I was fortunate that my flight was departing from concourse A so it wouldn't take as long for me to get to my gate. However, if your flight is in a different concourse then be prepared to take it with you. Allow extra time if you are doing this. The pizza also gets cold pretty fast but hey I'm used to cold pizza. t is very good pizza but I would suggest you share if you are eating here. Prices are very reasonable. It was very filling as well.

Varasano's is at the Center of Terminal A at Hartsfield, and when I visited on a Sunday was relatively quiet compared to the hustle and bustle of the airport. It has a decent bar and table service, plus a "to go" counter. Don't mistake the white seats with the ones the location services. Overall, I'm pretty pleased with my meal - given the location. However, if I wanted to get fussy (and I do - I'm fussy about pizza) I'd say that the pizza could have lingered a little longer in the oven; the center of the crust was still doughy and a little soggy from the marinara. With that said, the ingredients were pretty obviously high quality, and the wait staff were nice. Washed it all down with a White Manhattan, which was good (but not to-die-for good). All in, $31 plus tip. Would I go again - for sure. But they do need a little tweak with respect to the crispness of the crust. Good pizza is ALL about the crust!

Horrible dining experience! Waitress thought I ordered 4 pizzas for 1 adult and 3 children. Pizza lacked flavor; crust was cardboard-like and charred. Ended up paying for 2 pizzas that we could not eat!

My husband and I were on our honeymoon and found this place in the airport. Awesome pizza and literally the best bloody marys we've had! We have been looking everywhere to find the recipe for their bloody Mary's with the amazing Mozzarella ball! If anyone can help us out and find the recipe, that would be great!

I found a seat at the bar and received a menu quickly. The server took my drink order in a timely fashion but this took longer than it should have. I noticed several of the staff were more interested in frequently checking their phones instead of doing their jobs (I think there may be a connection here). I got the salumi board which took 25 minutes to arrive which seems longer than it ought to for a person to place pre cut items onto a platter. The meats were thinly sliced, fresh and flavorful, but I felt the caramelized onions didn’t belong. The cheese and olives were also good but the ratio didn’t balance with the meats and crackers. Overall it was a good experience. If they have the staff focus more on customers instead of their phones it would be a big improvement.

The pizza is absolutely amazing. This is always a must stop anytime we are near Terminal A. Great atmosphere with a piano player as well.

You don’t expect live music & a really good cheeseboard in an airport but this place delivers! Stop in for a cocktail & share an appetizer with your traveling companion & walk onto the plane happy:)

Keisha is great. Great service and personality. Great atmosphere, value and wait time. Always a good experience when stopping at this spot.

Great pizza and great service from Duran! The Salumi was 5 stars plus! Anytime we have a layover in Atlanta we will be coming to Verasano’s!

Great pizza and our server, Duran was super cool. So polite and friendly!!! Highly recommend hanging here during your layover!

Amazing pizza, I'm Italian and I have rarely eaten such a close version to the Italian original pizza, many variations are offered and all are worth to fly over to Atlanta to just try them!

After purchasing food, I was told by an employee to leave the dining area while waiting for my order. I was not allowed to sit, despite being a paying customer. The employee was rude and unprofessional, and staff openly talked about customers. This shows a clear lack of respect, professionalism, and proper training. I will not be returning

Went there by chance and pizza craving on the kids side. Turned out we ordered two more after testing them. The sweet roasted peppers are really good. Quick service that could be useful when catching a plane :) Well done and nice staff as well.

Love this spot. Live music provided afternoons and evenings. We hate it when we have flight issues that cause us to miss this airport treat Pizza is thin but your choice of toppings or specialties. A glass of wine and I could sit here as long as music goes on. Be same Mucho!!!!!

Krystal was our very pleasant server at Varasanos pizzeria and piano bar in ATL. My husband and I enjoyed a great Pinot Grigio but not the same with the not so great Margarita pizza. the sauce and bufala Mozzarella were sadly tasteless. Although we didn't have a salad (and later realized we should have) we saw a couple get a salad to split that was enormous and reportedly very good. We sat in a window area which was quieter than the main restaurant but it was very hot. Felt like there was no AC.The piano player played occasionally but not all the time. But this restaurant was better than the fast food strip!

We stopped in here at Terminal A at the airport. They make the pizza to order which is nice, not prepared ahead of time. The service was quick and attentive. The pizza was the best we have had in a long time. I will definitely try to stop here the next time I'm at the airport, it is worth a stop if you have time and you can also get a to go order.

This is my first time here - chill vibes and super-sweet staff. Bryson and Darnell were attentive and engaging. Thanks for making the morning a good one!

Duran was our server. Excellent service and recommendations. We had the bruschetta. It was delicious. We didn't get a pizza because we were not that hungry. But they looked great. We will be back!

I watched being made, cooked and served from the bar. Darnell and Victor were fun. Donna stopped by to check up on everything. The pizza was a perfect size, hot and well appointed. I really loved the herbs and spices. Excellent

The service was very slow. Looks like they could’ve been shorthanded for takeout. The man making the Pizza was talking a lot and it looks like he was not very happy. I think I waited about 25 minutes for my one pizza. It was much smaller than the box and I complained. I was told Pizza guy did not stretch it enough. That means you get less cheese. For $17 and change including tax this was a disappointing. I went to the waitress and asked her what she thought. I saw other peoples pizza and it was big as the plate and the plate was large. The pizza was OK nothing to brag about. It was not tasty. Service was slow. Look at the pictures and you judge yourself. I know it’s more money at the airports, but for this size is not fair!!

Destini B. is truly the best! It's not too often that you receive great customer service in an airport restaurant but she's genuinely so kind to each customer and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Will definitely be back!

When you think about recommending restaurants, if we are honest we usually don't think about airports. If you have visited Varasano's Pizza in the A Terminal at Hartsfield then you know why I am writing this. The Pizza is outstanding, there is almost always live music being played and it is not only great food but a great way to unwind when traveling. When choosing flights to connect through the ATL, I must admit I choose the longer layover so I can stop by and get my Varasano's Pizza fix

One of the worst places I’ve been to. Flour all over the bottom of the pizza, burnt ends, and watery across the top. And $16.25 for basically a cheese pizza. And $3.50 for a drink. There’s much better options nearby.

Very good service Desteny B was great thank you. Friendly server food was done fast.server friendly nice seating area cocktails as well. Everything was great. I would recommend this place to any of my friends that come through this airport.

Our last stop for local fare was surprisingly the best. Varasano's Piano Bar pizzeria in Terminal A at Atlanta airport is a genuine winner. My well traveled Florida friends urged us to try it on way home to Chicago and are so glad we did. As it was National Garlic Day, we choose a mozzarella and roasted garlic pizza. This simple thin crust treat was the perfect pre-flight fare and happy finale to a fun filled week in the big city and Gerogia county. Order the spinach and gorganzola salad with candied pecans and raspberry vinaigrette dressing. It is heavenly (no airport pun intended)..Local micro-breweries are represent on tap, along with an adaquate number of wines. All this delicious fare was made infinitely better by Jerry, the expert pianist, whose wonderful melodies of 1940's - 60's popular standards. His talent is equally matched to this airport gem.

Delicious pizza and great service! Duran was the best waiter! Highly recommend trying this place out if you have some time to spare.

Jazzy piano player, good pizza, excellent wine, and a fabulous waiter!!! Hardly any wait time, and right off the escalator leading to gates. Bar seating and table seating, either looks good. Try to sit by the windows to watch the action of the ground crew! Fascinating!

Had a short layover in the ATL airport. The bartender, Rhakesha made a nice cocktail to my liking and I was on my way.👍🏽 This location is in the back beyond the fast food restaurants but well worth it.

Duran was an awesome server and the pizza was spectacular!!! Will visit again! Live music was extremely welcoming for an airport dining experience.

VERY sad, but Varasano's will no longer be our place to eat before leaving ATL. Pizza is still somewhat tasty (but not crispy crust as it used to be), but they now stopped table service, allow their dedicated tables to be used by people who aren't eating there, have unclear ordering process for those eating in, and unapologetically awful, slow service. There were plenty of people working, but clearly someone has decided to just leave it as a free-for-all. Dirty tables, staff who is arbitrarily choosing who to help at the bar, ignoring people who've been waiting for what feels like an eternity. For what they charge, there is no excuse for this. You've been warned.

Consistently great. Easily the best food in an airport. If you have the chance go to Jeff’s main location on Peachtree.

Great service! Duran was polite, courteous, and funny. Great experience, would definitely come back next time we’re in ATL👍🏻

Duran is the man! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and very cool. Thanks Duran for recommending the right drink and pizza choice. The pizza is absolutely delicious. And so is the St Germaine cocktail!

This was the best airport meal we have ever had. Share a small spinach salad and a pizza; get two if you and your guest are starving. We loved it, will try to get in on the way home, too. It is in the A terminal.

The environment is great! The service was excellent! $17.67 for one Bloody Mary…ridiculous. I wanted a second, but who can afford that??

I love thin crust pizza so I was excited to stumble on Varasano's Pizza here in Terminal A at Hartsfield International Airport. Sadly, while Varasano's claim to fame appears to be their thin crust pizza, what they delivered to my table did not live up to the hype. I ordered the Olive and Caper pizza and while the flavor was good, it was a sloppy, undercooked and wet mess. Either the crust was not done correctly or the cook decided to pour extra liquid into the middle of the pizza. While the IPA I ordered from the tap was tasty, the pizza didn't meet my expectations -- and I give a LOT of leeway to thin crust pizzas!

Duran was our server and very attentive despite being busy. Live music, wine & great pizza! Didn’t feel like I was in an airport at all!!!

They have several Atlanta locations and all are better than their airport location. That being said the pizza is the best at the airport. If you are traveling and need a pizza this is the place to eat in or take out. Plan on about $15 a pie with four large thin crust slices.

Our waiter was fantastic, very warm and inviting. The piano music was wonderful to hear in the background as we watched the planes. The food is not very good. The calzone was extremely greasy and burnt so that I could only eat 25% of it. The waiter was wonderful and said he would be happy to bring me another one but we were on our way to another flight. My husband had pepperoni pizza and it was burnt as well.

Friendly server! Great food and the piano player was fantastic! Highly recommended. Definitely stop by when we are flying thru ATL!

It was surprisingly good for airport food. The drinks were outstanding. I had the house salad and it was delicious. The service was great and the atmosphere very relaxing with someone playing the piano.

As we have travelled around the world for best pizza having it now in out own airport is truly awesome! It is always a treat to eat there. This is faithfull Napoleatan Pizza at the right price too. Note to the owner your salad are inconsistent and can range from great to lame depending on the day. fix it please!

My wife and I make it a point to stop in whenever we have enough time to run over to terminal A. I have followed Jeff's cooking techniques for a long time. He has perfected pizza. I cant wait to try his main restaurant.

Stopped to grab a quick lunch in Atl airport ! Destiny was very friendly & helpful! Great service. She was positive & smiling the entire time that she had served me frm ordering , waiting for my order, and delivering my lunch to go! Great employee

When you eat here when passing through ATL, your trip will be overruled by thoughts of returning to eat here again on the way back home!

Great pizza, great service. Live music to chillax. We probably stayed twice as long as we would at any other restaurant. Thanks Duran for the great meal

There needs to be more places like this in airports. Classy vibe, great handmade food, fast and friendly service and get this -- it is even fairly reasonably priced. Oh and yes, there is a killer piano player entertaining everyone. How many airport venues do you know where the crowd is revved up and applauding a piano player? Bar staff is friendly and engaging, very good service. Artisan pizzas are delivered in about 10-15 min so you can make this work on a layover. Good wine and beer selection. My fontina mushroom pizza was $14 and I added salami to it. Glasses of really good Cabernet were $9.50 --- this is in an airport! For excellent food and free entertainment! There was a crappy sports bar at the other end of terminal A that wanted $10 for an order of chips and dip. This is super easy to get to from any terminal as it is in the center food court area in Terminal A.

Destini was amazing! We had a great experience. The food was delicious!! All in all it was awesome and the service was great.

Ok the pizza was good, but the service was poor and slow. the staff placing my order was not interested in explaining my options and did not care if I placed it or not. Did not even apologize for not having what I wanted. When I decided to have something else, I came back and ordered it and it took a good 14 min to be ready (a simple cheese pizza). They make pizza all day there and they could have it done in less time. I have been in places like that in airports and this was the slowest.

Good food. Nice clean tables. Piano was a great touch! Perfect way to kill time at the airport. And Duran was an A++ server.

Stuck in airport and have to admit that I got lucky with this side bar at terminal A Hidden in the back you'll find the piano man and if lucky you'll find an airline pilot playing a guitar . Not kidding What a trip this place is!!! The best part is the staff I got lucky with Krystal as my wait staff and an amazing employee she is with a great smile. I had a very thin crust pizza The sauce on the Nana's special is a marvelous taste and the hot salami on top was a keeper Between the staff, musicians and great pizza it worth the subway ride over to terminal A Best 2hour delay at an airport yet

I ordered pizza at the bar while waiting for my flight. The service was exceptional, the pizza was one of the best I've ever had, and it was very fast all while in a very appealing atmosphere for an airport. I will definitely be back every time I travel through Atlanta and have 20 minutes to spare. Awesome!

The seating is pretty limited for a family but the food was great. I am through the ATL airport dozens of times a year and this is by far the best place for a meal (the cake place doesn't count as a meal). :)

This plead is amazing, and the staff are top notch. Skip the fast food crap and head here, they have great salad as well

Good pizza BUT horrible horrible service, best to order to go as table service is nonexistent. Not sure why the change but staff will walk around and not provide service. So sad, was a favorite stop…

The flavor wasn’t bad and I like the crust. Our pizza was hot and fresh but the toppings and sauce were super lite. If you pay $20 for a small pizza, it should be filling enough for two but, not so much. Soooo...good crust, skimpy toppings.

The airport version of this pizza has fallen off the original. Dough flat and dry. Too much Italian seasoning. Not terrible. Just ordinary.

The pizza was very good and Destini who was our cashier did a very good job and was very nice and cheerful when serving us!!

Duran was incredibly attentive even though there was a full service. He was great and made the our trip. He was efficient knowing that travelers may have a short time until their next flight.

My flight was delayed and lucky for me to be on A concourse which means an unplanned lunch at the Piano Bar and a Varasano Ultimate Calzone. And while a prefer overstuffed Calzones, with Varasano less is more. More flavor with the sun dried tomatoes demanding equal time with the pepperoni and cheese. Great place that happens to be at an airport. Good service too!

Went to Concourse A and wanted a good pizza, been there before and wanted another, Everyone must know airport Food not the best, but Varasano's is Real GOOD, Quick and Pleasant atmosphere, It's called a piano bar, and has a piano player

Loved the pizza! We loved the authentic toppings and the flavors were fabulous! The service was just right -minimally invasive- for people with schedules (flights). The piano player was Tony Valentine. He closed his eyes, smiled, and played for 2 hours nonstop! On his break he took the time to visit with the patrons there in the area. We ended up staying longer than expected because he was so delightful!

If you are passing through terminal A you have to stop by and have some of the best pizza you’ve ever had. In addition the live piano music is awesome. If you get the chance try Jeff’s location in Buckhead.

Had a 3 hour layover May 6th, so the two of us decided to go get some beers and a pizza and possibly listen to some live music. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the saxophone player was fantastic. The pizza was ok, looked pretty and wasn’t dominoes but as someone who loves pizza and always down to try new spots, it didn’t blow my mind in any way. For what I needed as a hungry traveler thought it was fine, maybe get a sharper slicer for the customer’s benefit, didn’t actually cut through the crust so it was a mess to eat. What really made this experience frustrating was the scam from Our bartenders. First bartender took our drink order, beer and a tom collins. Put in our pizza order. At some point she went to the other part of the bar and a male bartender started to serve us. A lot of bars in airports use QR codes to order and there’s very little interaction since covid but this time we got to chat up the workers and really enjoyed the more friendly vibe. Talked about where his last trip was and our favorite places to ski and snow board. Finishing up our second round we pay the check, but a while later the male bartender comes and says It’s Our Lucky Day! Because our ticket was started on the female bartender’s ring out but he closed it on his, they have to go back and void the whole thing so the check was voided and we would be getting our meal/drinks on the house! Wow, well what a treat, he even held up a slip and said see, you’ll be getting that money back. It was around $90, $110 w the tip we wrote in. I nudge my friend because we had been servers ourselves and we didn’t want them to walk away w nothing so we called the male bartender back over and said here is $50 cash, split it w the other bartender that started our service and again, thank you! However…..several days later while I remained optimistic that the pending charge would fall off, the charge went fully through to my account. Why tell us you voided our bill if you actually did not. So for two pizzas and two drinks (3 which were beer) we ended up shelling out $170, 80 which was a tip, because we were duped. Maybe it was an honest mistake but we can’t dispute the transaction w the bank because yes we did pay that for the meal they do have a receipt w our signature. But I wouldn’t have given an $80 tip for what we got, and wanted to warn other travelers as there is little recourse and we feel this may be a scam they perpetuate where they switch servers midway through a meal then claim they had to “void” your already rung card to get an extra helping if cash. Lesson learned, bring more cash and don’t use card at this restaurant- though I doubt I would return on future travels taking me through this airport. Music was great though and you can sit there outside food to enjoy, sax and a piano.

I may have hit it on a bad day. Service was courteous, and pizza was delivered hot. The crust was thin but dense, without the proper fluff and chew. Jeff has gone to great lengths describing his experience recreating the perfect NY pie - for the benefit of us all. And I thank him for that. Of course I’ll go again next time I’m in Atlanta.

For Airport options, quality and speed there are none better than Varasanos. Can't say enough about the Bartender/awesome person Eric. If you want amazing Gimlets or house made drinks, always ask Eric because he is a true professional and one of the reasons we continually return. I mean look at Basil leaf in my picture.

Stopped in while trucking through the airport. The good news is the service was quick. Pizza took about 10 minutes to make. The pizza was awesome. Wasn't enough to fill me up but still a good pie

Very nice ambiance and great service from Destiny! Destiny handles all of her customers with care. I enjoyed the music and the smell of great food.

Had a great experience. RAN our server was awesome. Went above and beyond to make sure our food was perfect! Was friendly, personable, and attentive! He is an asset to your resturant!

Had a couple hours to spare in between connecting flights so my husband and I grabbed a bite to eat. My husband ordered a meat pizza. I don’t remember the name of it but it had pepperoni, ham and some other meat and some kind of olives that were delicious! It had about 5 or 6 slices. This pizza surprised us on flavor. It was very very good! I almost could have ordered another.

Destini was amazing, she assisted me with exceptional service, i was having a rough day and she turned that experience around for me, I am a restaurant manager and if she’s isn’t a manager she needs a promotion. This will be my first time trying pizza from Varasano’s I really hope the pizza is as great as Destini’s amazing customer service, politeness and pleasant smile.

This restaurant is in Terminal A at the Atlanta airport. Good place for pizza, as that's the majority of what is on their menu. It also has a piano bar, which was not open while I was there. Plenty of seating and reasonably quiet... for an airport. Large TV's at the bar!

I love the taste of their pizzas! Authentic fire baked pizza with the freshest sauce and ingredients. Crispy thin crust gives it the right crust-to-topping ratio. Enjoyed every bite!

Over the years we have eaten at both the Buckhead restaurant and the airport outlet. I have considered Varsano's Pizza among the best I've had come including Neapolitan style pies in NYC, Atlanta, Miami and our home town, Chattanooga. I am not sure if the recipe is changed, but the Nana's Pizza I had today was completely undistinguished. The sauce and cheese were virtually flavorless, and the crust lacked character. I am not sure if the airport location is now a franchise, but I will be wary of trying it again. We have far better pizza at multiple locations in Chattanooga, I am happy to say.

Duran morris Houston was fabulous. Professional, attentive, helpful…great customer service. Food good, drink good as well.

super food, super service & super selection for a quick stop over in Terminal A of the airport (almost a destination worthy of a bit of a planned extended lay-over.

I've visited several times. Always consistent! Delicious brick oven style pizza and a good glass of wine. On the weekends there is sometimes a piano player. A nice break while traveling!

Excellent service - Duran was the best! Amazing food and overall experience. Thanks Duran! Easy in and out, would visit again!

Destini B was my server. Greeted me with a smile and was kind in helping me make a selection. Very courteous, helpful and patient-thank you!

Stopped at little spot on the way back to MSP. My wife had the grilled chicken spinach salad and we enjoyed the talent of Mose, a great pianist!

From time to time I'll write a review about an airport restaurant, usually to warn them. But the idea that you could find a destination-worthy restaurant is just...stupid. Well, not quite. The place was crowded: It was lunchtime, after all. We sat at a nice little table near the window to get table service. Long flight and one more to go. My wife ordered a Margarita with bufala mozz; I got a Nana's with garlic, capicola, and shrooms. We also ordered a bottle of red. What the heck? The pizzas were delicious. Not just good. DELICIOUS. Before ordering, I asked, "Are these individual pizzas or should we share." Well, they were not individual. They were much too large. But somewhere along the line they became individual because nothing was left. That crust! As thin as a political promise and totally delish. And the toppings? Perfect. This was, without question, the best meal we have ever had in an airport restaurant, AND -- to make the absurd just a tad absurder -- they had a piano inside and a great player. Surreally good!!!!

Great spot with a casual relaxed atmosphere. Live music and good food. Our server Margo was top notch!!! She was very attentive and engaging. Both she and kitchen worker Kenny kept us in stitches with their back and forth banter. Was here on Wednesday Feb. 21 for lunch. We will be back!

Duran was great - extremely responsive to our requests! Will consider for future visits! Piano player was also fantastic !

Below average pizza with triple the price. Insane. They should be ashamed. Highway robbery. Price gougers extraordinaire. Nothing else to Say. Nothing else to add.

Good day great wine good recommendations very cheerful , customer service was on point ☝🏾🎉🤷🏾♀️🦓🐗🐗🐯🐒🦅🐧 thank you duan

What do you do between flights? You go eat and drink. Most pizzerias in the airport suck. This is quite good. And that is coming from a New York Italian. The pizzas are interesting and very tasty. A nice variety of specials or design your own. Attentive staff and good selection of wines and beers etc. prices acceptable for an airport setting. I have been here a few times when connecting through Atlanta on delta. Always solid.

They have some of the best pizza my wife and I have ever eaten. The pizza is about 12 inches long by eight and one pizza is more than enough for one person. The service was also excellent.

Great place to go when you are killing time in the Atlanta airport in terminal A. Good pizza and several good bed and wine options ! VictorB

Alexis is the best person on staff. She always remembers what I eat and drink. Her personality is top notch . The food is always good. I always look forward to traveling through Agl just to have the pizza. I wish you opened a bit earlier as I tend to always get early morning flights out of Tampa. I fly pretty much weekly

The pizza was pretty good. The piano playing and the location were great! The pizza could use more cheese and should be severs on a metal/aluminum plate that will keep the pizza warm. The crust is thin and the restaurant is cold. Only my first piece was warm. ☹️

I always try to eat here when in the Atlanta airport. Wonderful thin, delightful pizza with the best sauce, cheese and toppings. Good beer, wine, mixed drinks. Live piano playing. Good people watching. Football on TV. Yum.

We drank/ate at Hartsfield-Jackson Varasano’s Pizzeria airport and really enjoyed ourselves. We sat at the bar, and Matt, our bartender/server , was great. He was attentive and made our drinks perfectly. We had a Nana’s pizza, house salad w/chicken, and both were delicious. There was someone playing saxophone and was able to look out over the airfield. Great place to relax before a flight.

Pizza great! Pancetta. Mimosa very good gtoo. Diaza watresscalm cool and collected in a busy environment. Sax player quire enjoyable.

My husband and I shared a traditional pizza. Very tasty food and talented pianist A nice and unique spot in the usual food court fare. Terminal A. Welcoming place for weary travelers facing a lengthy layover.

If you have an hour or 2 in Atlanta make way to terminal concourace A to the best pizza that I have ever had even in Naples. probably 100 ingredients all really fantastic

We had a slow start and had to wait for the waiter for 10-15 min. But we enjoyed the live music so it was not too bad. The musician was wonderful. Once the waiter arrived, he took very good care of us. The pizza was very delicious. Great place to escape to while waiting for your flight

Waiting to leave for Melbourne Beach out of the large and well run airport in Atlanta... stopped by Varasano’s Pizzaria. Friendly bartenders and great food!

The service was great. Tempest was delightful and just the right amount of attentive, as a bartender! The food was delicious. Highly recommend

Phenomenal pizza with beautifully done pizza sauce. As close to Italy as one can get in Atlanta and a much-needed break from standard Atlanta grease-bomb food. We had the Nana (plain) and the Margherita Bufala with capers. I was blown away. Best pizza I've had in a while, in an airport and with a piano playing, no less. I will be back.

Pizza excellent, service top notch (thanks Duran) and the piano bar has great performances! Always make it a point to stop here if you have a layover

Went in for a cocktail & to chill before next flt. Duran was our server and was fantastic. I ordered a specialty drink and made it a double. The drink itself was $17, fine. But the extra shot was $16.50! Duran said that was how the bartender told him to ring it in. I asked the bartender for clarification and he said “That is airport prices.” NO IT IS NOT. Maybe he needed to make up for some missing numbers? I cannot be the first person to order a double there. I am a flight attendant that commutes, so I live in airports. Every other restaurant charges between $5-$8 for the extra shot. He (bartender) just shrugged his shoulders. I totally felt ripped off AND pissed that neither one of them thought to tell me that it was going to be a $37.19 drink! Still pissed. I tipped Duran 20%, but told him it wasn’t right, and that he should DEFINITELY say something to the guest before that sticker shock.

Great pizza, especially inside an airport. Beats all the quick service places and was very fast. Highly recommend and will be back

Disgusting pizzas , bad service, nothing on the pizza, pizza « buffala », no buffala but shredded bad greasy cheese.. and expensive ! Varasano’s « one of the Elite 8 pizzerias in the US » LOL!!! Not at the airport!!

I had the nano pizza with pepperoni and sausage. Everybody was ranting and raving about this place. It was just aight. Would I eat there again? Probably but no rush because for one it's too expensive for just a pizza and then it really wasn't seasoned that well. It was good but nothing spectacular and to run too. If u haven't tried it then do so but again it's just aight.

Loved the live piano music while enjoying a beer, salad (spinach salad) and pizza. Duran was our server. He made feel welcome and offered water at no cost. Nice escape at at the airport.

First and foremost this is the most interesting pizza place in an airport and can/does stand alone outside the airport (suburban Atlanta location as well). If you look at the menu or photos and think OMG Neopolian then proceed with caution. Second, relax in the bright, clean piano bar or choose the nice & close big screen TVs at the bar. Pick your pleasure. I came for the pizza (amazing how many folks stopped at the bar for diuble & triple shots). I ordered the Nana's special, crispy crust (as others have recommended). I liked it but based on expectations I would not return for it. Yes, It had a very nice char and great care was taken with the crust. One can't argue with San Marzano tomatoes (but they could have been properly seasoned). Whatever herb blend they advertised was non-existant. Sadly the cheese lacked any character and detracted from the experience. Too bad really, it looks like Neopolitan style and you expect the cheese to pop. To make this place 5 stars would be easy. Fix the cheese. Buffalo mozerella would be best (think i saw it on the menu but paired with something). Whatever moz they used on my pie was more typical of a ubiquitous italian american pizza where cheese quantity often tries to make up for quality. I will return but i will order a Margherita, extra basil, with buffalo mozzarella and then i will rave about it.

Excellent Pizza 10 inch pizza is bigger than 10 inches - feeds two people super thin crust - thin as dime in spots good piano music

I had the marguerite buffalo pizza. 1st time eating here and the pizza had good flavor. Came out quick and servers were all pleasant and smiling.

Whenever I travel through the Atlanta airport, I make it a point to go to terminal A and have a pizza at Varasano's. It's almost worth missing a flight over! The Bufala and copa is outstanding!

I'm not one to complain, but we were expecting something unique and great. Instead, we got pizza that tasted like cardboard. Definitely not our cup of tea. My 2 stars was probably generous.

We got off a flight at the Atlanta Airport looking for something to eat. What we did not expect was the great pizza and piano jazz at Varasano's Pizza! It was a great break! All kinds of pizza, handmade there, a full bar, and efficient, attentive wait staff!

Wow, great looking location, nice bar and piano playing. Even looks like they'd have good pies. But wait. I order some pizza with 3 ingredients, mushrooms arugula and something else. and they forget the arugula. I walk back to counter and they add it. Then after I get back to my seat I am looking at the pie and about to add all my cheese and pepper and crushed red pepper and low and behold. I had cardboard dust, like box cutting scraps all over the pie. Not so appetizing for a $25 pie serving one person. Oh well.... Try another place next time unless they clean up their act.

Varasano’s is a place I seek out to eat at when in Atlanta. Their food - especially the pizza are worth Waiter Duran is s cool!

The piece show was delicious, the musician was excellent and Krystal was exceptionally friendly, courteous, and efficient.

Just had one beer at the Atlanta airport and service was outstanding!! Not there very long, but the server checked on me numerous times. Will definitely return! Thanks!

Hard to believe, but yes. Had to have veggie because of the wife, but I loved it anyway. Fresh veggies and wonderfully made thin crust. Flavor and cooked just right. Not too long of a wait, even though made fresh.

Certainly not worth a trip to the airport but if you're in Terminal A this is as good a dinning option as there is. It is in the food court, the pizza is brick oven and good. Plus there is a piano bar. They serve beer and wine and have big windows where you can watch the planes taxi about.

This is the best airport food I may have ever had. I'm usually so very dissatisfied by restaurants at the airport, even the sit-down or more "fine dining" restaurants, but this one did not disappoint. All of the pizzas on the menu sound delicious and they are made fresh to order. It was so nice to be able to eat something with quality ingredients and feel satisfied and not regrettable after a meal at an airport. I will certainly return here next time at the Atlanta airport.

Great crispy pizza next to a piano playing jazz artist---what could be better? Not an inexpensive place---2 pizzas, a coke and 2 bloody marys came to $75 (14 ea for the BMs) but great service and jazz music waiting for a flight was nice.

Outstanding service! Duran was amazing!! Pizza was excellent. Piano player great

We stop by every time we are able to. The food is amazing. Not only is it among the best you will find at an airport, but the pizza rivals Many of the classic pizzerias. Simple combinations but amazing flavors due to the quality ingredients. Have a drink and some great food while you listen to the live piano playing. The photo is the Salumi, Italian meats and chopped olives.

We come here normally to eat their pizzas- the quality has gone down considerably. We ordered margherita pizza and there was no sauce, no cheese, and two leaves of basil (yup) -it was a roasted dough topped with raw arugula - I’m not sure the pizza is worth 19$ that they charge Do not come here until they fix their quality !

This was my second visit to Varasano's. On the first visit I ordered a pizza that while very popular, didn't speak to me as I changed my order at the last minute. This time I got the right pizza and it was excellent. I got the Margarita pizza with sausage on it which was great. I love the crispness of the thin crust and the coal kissed pizza. Very good.

Duran was amazing ! Love the service and the food

Duran hard working ready to serve with a great attitude and a smile. Great service and accommodating. Glad I made the stop during a layover. Best of luck my friend, till we meet again!

Duran was awesome server and love the bruschetta.. And live music for wayne on the Sax brought lot of fun passing thru ATL ! See ya on my next trip.

Duran was a great server. Very attentive. Food was good and service was fast. Would definitely return if I have another layover in ATL.

I ordered the pancetta & light garlic pizza, which was wonderful. Pancetta crispy, crust thin, and cheese wonderfully melty. The waiter was an absolute ray of sunshine; a wide smile on his face and very attentive. A superb pianist was playing which elevated the atmosphere, and made for unique airport dining experience.

Delicious pizza and cocktails- great service- Joel was excellent

Stopped here for a drink and a pizza, got a pepperoni personal one with a corona. Short waiting time. Piano live music was a nice touch

I loved our server Kristal. By far the most caring, kind and super fast service. I almost missed my plane in the last airport. I was able to relax and enjoy my trip because Krystal was so good! Please know that she is one of your biggest gems you have at your restaurant and treat her well! She made our day, as I bet she has done that for countless travels through the ATL airport!

Airport food is normally "airport food"...bland, fast-food, that "fills a hole" and costs way too much. We (wife and I) had a 2 hour lay-over at the Atlanta International Airport, around dinner time. Wife was caving pizza so we tried Varasano's. I forget the name of the pizza we got, but it was originally with arugula, capacola, olives, garlic, and just olive oil. I'm a pepperoni freak and and the wife let me swap out the capacola for pepperoni. It was truly amazing! One of the best pizzas I've ever had. I can't speak for the other styles of pizza they have there but this one is truly a winner. I do have one thing for us all to think about though. When I went back up to the counter for soda refills I asked the person behind the counter why the pizza cutters were cabled to the counter (there were two cutters and they were tied to the counter with 1/4" aircraft cable). She said it was TSA regulations. I guess to stop would-be terrorists from slicing up patrons??? Anyway, while I was getting my refill one of the workers accidentally dropped a pizza cutter to the floor. How do they wash the cutter? Did they wash the cutter? I'm just asking. Even with this questionable hygiene issue I'd still eat there again.

Much better than expected. Might not be world class Neapolitan pizza; however, this is the best pizza I've ever had at a airport! Addition of piano and great service makes it a must stop for Terminal T or A at minimum.

Yes, it’s airport food, but legit restaurant quality pizza. Tastes and looks “wood fired”, but here we are in the Atlanta airport! Lots of options and toppings to choose from. Also, 6 beers on tap, wine options, and a full bar. I think there was guy playing the piano as well! Cra cra, but pretty awesome. FYI...This was in the food court of Terminal A. VictorB

This is a bit of a mixed review. I was here yesterday for a solo trip. The drink (and bartender!) was amazing and the music was awesome. I’m back at the same bar today leaving for a separate trip and there’s a different bartender that charged just about double ($30) for the same exact drink and made it horribly. This bartender also accidentally swiped my card to pay for another customer’s ($75+) meal and drink. Wont be coming back!
good but not to the level expected
their menu says "an elite 8 pizzeria in the US" by Rachel Ray. Rachel missed on this one if she said that. it's not bad but it's trying to be neapolitan style and not hitting the mark so the end result is a very thin, rather bland pizza without the unique sauce and cheese characteristics that make naepolitan pizza great. $14, ate the entire pie myself and had to get something else to eat .
