This is a great vegan food place. They have a fantastic and creative menu. You order at the counter and they bring your food but they don't have formal waiter / waitress staff. It's a very clean venue with friendly staff. Our group ordered the quinoa power salad, Sante Fe burger and the vegan cheese burger and they were all very tasty with generous portions.

LOVE this place! Sooo many vegan options!!! There's 3 locations in Seattle; I went to the University Village location. I ordered the Avocado Toast and Crispy Cauliflower - delicious!!!! The peas and sunflower seeds on the avocado toast add tasty textures. Loved it :) The crispy cauliflower was delicious too!!! This place was clean and had a modern vibe. The service was excellent too. They also offer beer and wine ;) I can't wait to go back and try more things!! This place is totally on my lunch options list :)

While only one of the five of us is Vegan the rest of us are meat eaters, but we ate here and the food was fantastic. We all enjoyed it very much. we hope this chain opens on the east coast at some point in the near future, say Upstate New York.

I'm not vegetarian but I founded a very good veggie burger ! Service fast, good food, good price with employers young and efficient. I founded there many peoples but no problem for the fast service !

Nice decent health conscious food with great customer service. The server forgot to bring out my side order of frys but when I reminded them, they ask if I would like a desert cake as a comp!

Once I went vegan, I thought I was giving up fish forever. How wonderful to try Baja fish tacos at the Veggie Grill and be completely amazed at how good they are! The "fish" tacos are crisp, light and delicious and come with slaw and chili. Quite a big meal for the price. We also ordered the orange fried cauliflower bites, which were sweet, sticky yumminess, if a little too heavy on the sauce. Better than chicken. My friend ordered the mac and cheese which was creamy and good, but could have a bit more "cheesiness." We topped it off with carrot cake. So moist and delectable and the cream cheese icing was perfect. The venue is low-key, cafeteria style. If you're bringing dates and meat-eaters, the food itself will have to impress them. And impress them it will.

I have reviewed this restaurant before years ago so this review is just about the new Family Meal Deal. The deal allows you to choose 1 starter or 2 sides, and 4 entrees for $39.95 which is a great deal since some of the entrees are over $10. I ordered the crispy cauliflower for the starter, and the Far East Bowl, the VG Classic, Santa Fe Chickin', and Tuna Melt for the entrees. I did not add fries or other sides which are extra on top of the $39.95. I ordered this on the app for takeout. We really enjoyed the Far East Bowl (the wild rice, broccolini, and pickled vegetables are so good!), the tuna melt and the classic burger. The Santa Fe Chickin' was a bit dry. The cauliflower was soggy when we got home but we put it in the air fryer and it was perfect after. This deal is a great way to get a family meal!

We stayed in Seattle for a week right across from this University village center and we ate there at least 4 times. Loves the buffalo wings. Service was good but most of all the choices were ample and everything we had was Delicious.

Well prepared and very tasty meals even for a non-vegetarian! Since eating their kale salad I now put kale in every salad at home.

Friend invited me here for lunch, never heard of it. Thought it was vegetarian, not vegan. It is healthy depending on what you order, for sure. A burger and fries is a carb nightmare, just minus the bovine components. It was good, though. I did order their equivalent of a "Cheese burger". The spicy dressing was a miss... and masked any flavor the "cheese" might of had. All in all, it was good. Did not miss the meat. Oh, and it was reasonably priced... which is amazing for Seattle, where food is off the charts expensive. I would like to see more sugar-free beverage choices.

we are vegetarian. most vegetarian restaurants are not much good choices for us. we like most of their menu especially chicken nuggets. crispy sweet potato fries. it is so ooo yummy,

Recently went here with my 8 year old son for lunch. Thought the kids meals were decently priced. However, my son who gobbles up macaroni and cheese (including other vegan versions) took one bite and wouldn't eat another. He did like his fries though. I ordered the chickin' bomber sandwich. It was okay. Upgraded to sweet potato fries and did not like those at all. Seemed like they had just sat in grease. In addition, I thought the adult prices were pretty expensive. So, some things were okay, but we won't go back. I believe there are better places to go around Seattle.

This is a casual place that pays a lot of attention to detail and to pleasing the customer. As first time visitors , the staff made certain we knew about the goal and resources of the veggie grill and the options available. All three of us ordered different meals . The kale salad was amazing, the portobello sandwich had great flavor and the fries are the best, and finally ,the "chicken tenders" sandwich was tasty . Everything was enjoyed by all - go here even if you are not a vegetarian . You will not be disappointed .

The vegetarian and meat-eaters in our family love this place. So many delicious options and a wide variety of dishes. We will definitely be back soon.

I had a simple and good lunch today at the Veggie Grill at University Village. If you looking for some healthy food while shopping at the U Village then this is place is worth a visit.

If you're looking for something healthy, this isn't it. If you're looking for something vegetarian/vegan and absolutely DELICIOUS, look no further. The flavors are incredible. They really use tofu and fake meat to their full potentials, with a variety of strong, awesome flavors. My fiance (a meat eater) loved their crab cake sandwich, and we both go ga-ga for their cauliflower wings (panko breaded, with a miso sweet and sour dipping sauce! UGH) This menu is just a lot of fun. Two warnings: As I said, this is not a particularly healthy establishment. Lots of fat. (But isn't that kind of refreshing, for a vegetarian place? Everything's delish.) Also, prepare to spend quite a bit. It's not fine dining prices, but it's not fast food prices either. We consider this place to be a treat, not a regular expense.

I'm not vegetarian but god I love this place, especially the awesome happy hour. It's expensive for fast food of course (12-15$ after tax) but I'd say it's sit-down restaurant quality plus it's even healthier (I don't think they add nearly as much oil/butter as sit-down restaurants). Everything I've tried has been amazing. Especially the soup.

Enjoyed Mediterranean salad, very tasty, very fresh. Conveniently located in University square. Something for every one.

The Veggie Grill near UW is wonderful. I had the VG-Cheesburger with sweetheart fries. The restaurant was very clean and the service was great. It's a great place for a quick bite.

Oh, how I love Veggie Grill. The best thing about it is the food, or maybe the service, or perhaps the decor. I love everything about this restaurant. It is the perfect place to take non- vegans because everything is so good and "American". Try the B- wing salad, it's my favorite!

We were in Seattle on vacation and went here 3 times it was so good, fast and reasonably priced. The location we went to was a short walk from Pike's Place Market.

I love their plant based menu! So yummy and amazing even the "meat lovers" in my house like to eat here. I have been here several times over the last couple of years and have never been disappointed. During this visit, I had the Santa Fe Crispy Chickin’ with the Yukon Fries. My daughter had the “Crab” Cake burger with the sweet potato fries. We also ordered the fried cauliflower because it is new on the menu. The cauliflower and dipping sauce has an Asian flair.; yummy!! It seems a little spendy...it was over $30 for the 2 of us to eat here and we only had water to drink.

After a long day of travel we visited Veggie Grill anxious for some good vege food. Mac and cheese sounded good but came with a Mexican flair as it was "picante" not sure why and not good. My avocado toast was good.

Nice clean place. Friendly and helpful staff. The meal I had was definitely tasty. I will definitely come back when in Seattle again. It is a great option for a quick no meat meal. My only issue with the place is the names of the dishes on the menu it is a personal thing but don't call something that is not. Like a chicken burger. It is made from soy I think call it a soy burger. I like to know what it is made off.

Not everyone in the family is a vegetarian, so Veggie Grill is a perfect way to explore this wonderful change in our diet. We shared a buffalo wings appetizer that brought squeals of delight from all four of us! Spicy vinegar-based "wings," with fresh celery sticks were great! Our "burgers" arrived and were accented with real avocado, gorgeous tomato slices and fresh onions. The yam fries (!!!!) were awesome with some organic ketchup! Really unique and fresh choices at the juice bar, and some local beers on ice complete this picture of an easy sit-down lunch in the U-Dub district. Dude! We were all down with the Veggie Grill!

Being a vegetarian I visit this place multiple times over the month (it's close to my office too). They serve some great food and it is recommended to try their seasonal menus. If you are a Tofu lover you can enjoy some great dishes.

I really wanted to love this restaurant. I mean, a whole restaurants for vegetarians, come on. I will start by saying I love the both the yukon gold fries and the sweet potato fries. I am a sucker for a good fry. I have also ordered a small side salad and the Mediterranean plate. I also love hummus more than anything, and this hummus was decent. I say go for a side of hummus and leave the rest of the plate. The falafel were undercooked and the rest of the plate just not worth my calories. As for the kids meals, the kids said the cheese tasted funny. The carrot cake was definitely the highlight. As for overall vibe, this place needs a good deep clean. There was stepped-on food all over, The booth cushions were stained. We had to clean a table to find a place to sit. The lemonade was empty. The drink stand had yuck all over it. The bathrooms had a layer of grime that was really un-excusable. I think they really need more help. My last thought--vegetarians do not need "meat". Meat substitutes rarely taste good and are certainly not worth the price they are charging. I can get better vegetarian food any day at Chipotle or any local greek restaurant. Hoping they improve.

I absolutely love Veggie Grill. The staff at this location are so pleasant. The food is amazing. I love that there are options to stay healthy and options for a very satisfying indulgent meal as well. I would highly recommend it to all vegans and even non-vegetarians.

A whole menu of food for the veggies to choose from! Its so exciting! I love the crab cake sandwich and the BBQ sandwich (have to ask for pickles on it). And oh, boy, the fish tacos! The chicken fried steak is good too. The sides are just ok. Steamed kale is a nice change of pace. Mac and Cheese isn't as good as they say it is. And there are lots of great fresh tasting fruity iced teas and lemonades. I like to mix them all together. You get a number and find a table. Its usually packed in there. The dining room isn't always as clean as it could be. I still don't know if I am supposed to bus my own table or not and I have been there quite a few times. And yes, there is wine and beer.

I love the idea of vegan fast food, and I have been here about 7 times now and only had one bad experience(my "chicken" patty was cold in the middle) but it happens! Every other time was spot on delicious! Staff is mostly friendly and helpful, and there are a lot of nice options. The wings are amazing I definitely recommend with ranch and the spicy "chicken" sandwich is out of this world. I also saw a clip in where in fooled a majority of meat eaters into thinking it was real chicken, real story!

Not sure if they don't do breakfast but we went there for brunch and there was nothing suitable so we ended up with burgers. I had Mac and cheese which was tasty but tasted very processed. However the crab burger and burger my family had were very tasty.

We are not vegetarian, but my daughter had heard all about this restaurant from various YouTubers and on Instagram. So we paid a visit for dinner one night. We all really enjoyed what we had - Quinoa Veggie Burgers, Koreatown Tacos and Super Greens Salad. It was all very reasonably priced. We all ate for $60. It was really tasty. We could certainly do with something like this in the UK.

So nice to find a vegan and organic restaurant with variety of food choices that taste good! Choices of "chicken", "steak", or tofu in most dishes. Also offered to go.

Great veggie place and very affordable. Will come back. I need to try rest of the menu. All american is great

I'm not a vegetarian so I stepped into the Veggie Grill with some fear and trepidation. I previously patronized a similar restaurant in Portland with less-than-favorable outcomes! But the Veggie Grill restored my opinion of vegetarian-based eateries! I opted for a kale salad and a bean soup that were both extremely well-prepared and delicious! Several other items on the menu were equally interesting and I'd be willing to try other options on our next visit. The person taking our order was very helpful in explaining how each dish was prepared and steering us toward options that matched our tastes. Great find at U Village!

I met some friends here one evening for dinner, and though I am not a vegetarian, I gave it a shot. Everyone really enjoyed their meals except me, which tells me that they provide great vegetarian meals for people who like them. It didn't work so well for me, but I enjoyed the hard cider. I will say that the staff were very friendly and offered really good service.

Coming from out of state, I did not know this restaurant chain. As a vegetarian, I found it to be just what I wanted! I had the quinoa salad bowl. Delicious! I only wish they had offered spoons, so I wouldn't miss any of the delicious, tiny quinoa!

We had lunch at the downtown location of Veggie Grill and enjoyed our food. For a "fast food* restaurant, it was a very pleasant experience. Lot's of good and healthy alternatives.

My daughter ordered the Chicken Wings appetizer. They have a bit of spice but they were tasty and came with Ranch dip. I ordered the beyond burger and it was excellent. my only recommendation would be to have the cheese melted on the burger, not just placed on it. I paid extra for guacamole on it, and I would again. Didn’t come with much for a $1.25 more.

Totally shocked by how good the energy salad top with vegan chicken. Side order of fried beans just added to the WOW factor.

8/22/13 5pm: VeggieGrill/UV Seattle, WA: We walked by this new hip joint a few times in University Village in the past, but decided to check it out this time. We’re a fan, a definite return to try out the other dishes. They need to advertise better, bigger sign and/or font clarifying it’s a vegan eatery and what’s in the ingredients. We want to eat less meat but have not found a place with fresh ingredients, light seasoning and not heavy on the pockets. • Daily Soup + Salad Combo 8.50 w/All Hail Kale – the kale salad was perfect, didn’t need the extra side of dressing, young, lightly tossed quinoa with quinoa. There’s a little kick in the chili, didn’t stand out much really - 4 star. • Kid’s meal 5.95 – the burger was a bit dry, but the sweet potato fries and cookies made up for it. We’ll try the chicken nuggets next time - 3 star. • Chipotle BBQ 8.95 – the wheat bun was a bit brittle, should be denser, better texture to hold up the filings. We couldn’t tell if it was real meat or the veggie-steak, tasty, great texture. The red cabbage slaw was a bit raw, but good light seasoning, took a few chews to down it. Overall, it was a pleasant surprise, we’ll return to try other salad dishes and veggie-meat. Service staff was prompt and friendly. They have outdoor seating’s. Pretty reasonable price though we got hungry after 2hours later. 4 stars

This was my first time eating at a vegetarian restaurant and I only went because one of our friends is vegetarian. The food was good as was the service. You order at the cashier and the food is delivered to your table.

We come here about once a month as my son goes to UW and it is one of the few vegan restaurants in the area. We especially love the cauli-mashed potatoes and gravy and pretty much any of the burgers. My son also likes the mac and cheese from this restaurant and since I try to limit cheese in his diet, it is great that it is vegan. The seasonal menus are also very tasty!

Our group of two adults and two teens eat at this restaurant fairly regularly. The food is great, the service cheerful and engaging. What else can we ask for? The only bummer is that upgrading yam fries to the meal is about $4, which really adds up. The meals are not cheap but the quality is high.

It is a friendly place, recently opened in Seattle, it parts of a large chain present from north to south of the west coast. We saw it by chance, we tried it, and starting from here we also tried others in our journey. The place is nice, well decorated, very colorful, there are fast food dishes reinterpreted but, better, in veggie key. The staff is young, very friendly and helpful, the food is excellent, I'm a vegetarian, my wife isn't it but both of us highly recommend it!

We went here for the first time and were pleasantly surprised by the variety in the menu. It's nice to see a plant based menu. Was definitely a little surprised by the calorie count though. Very reasonably priced, average is about $10. I'm not the biggest fan of the serve your self restaurant style, which this one is. It's a bit tricky with a baby.

I was not impressed. The restaurant is nothing special, basically greasy fast food. I wouldn't go there again. I usually don't eat fast food. If you like greasy, you might like this place. The employees were polite.

So todays travels finds me in Seattle's University district. I wandered down into the University Village. There I found this jewel of a restaurant called Veggie Grill. The sign on the door said "American fare". I wondered what that was. I settled on the "Baja kale salad and added blackened chicken. I chose a real Ginger Ale drink in a bottle. The waitress suggested that I "cut" the ginger with some strawberry lemonade that was in a dispenser for all patrons. I took a sip of it straight and enjoyed it immediately. The as the bottle started to get empty, I back filled it with strawberry and it was wonderful with real chunks of ginger floating in it. When the salad arrived which was pretty quick, I enjoyed seeing big chunks of avocado, mango, and lots of cilantro and tomatoes. The chicken was wonderful and you could taste the blackened chicken distinctly. I had a Honey Dijon side of dressing that complimented it very nicely. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if your dining with a special friend.

I was just wandering around U Village when I saw this place. My choice was Portobello Skewers and they were just amazing. The plate was well ordered and the sides with it were also tasteful. There are lots of good alternatives which I am looking forward to try.

Located in U Village this is a good place to get a vegetarian meal. They're open for lunch and dinner. The service is friendly. I like the sweet potato fries and the salads

Veggie Grill offers great food for folks who want to eat right. Kale caesar salad with chikin (their version of the real thing) and very nice service. The restaurant is order at the counter and then food is brought to the table. It's a very big menu with something for everybody and has gluten free items.

I really wish they would bring the Veggie Grill to Texas! I'm sad I have not discovered this place sooner! Everything on the menu is fabulous. They do a great job of making a vegan version of all your favorite usual meat dishes, burgers, chicken sandwiches, buffalo wings, ceasar salad etc.. so it's a great crowd pleaser. As a vegetarian, I really wanted to try it, but my whole family enjoyed what they got. Even my 8 year old nephew begged to go there every day while we were in town. They restaurant is clean and the staff is very helpful. It's a quick and healthy alternative to fast food and I think every city needs one. Will be back everytime I visit Seattle. (Come to Austin!!)

I have eaten here a couple of times when staying down the street. The V. Grill is consistent with other Veggie Grills. Fast, reasonably priced and very tasty! It is at University Village so you can walk off dinner with a little retail therapy!

This place is amazing specially for vegetarian/vegan. Apart from not using any animal product, their dishes are free from unhealthy fat. I loved the masala bowl and cucumber juice. The ambience is pretty lively with colorful decor. The menu has even the smallest details about the ingredients.

Great selection and prices of healthy choices. Ordering is simple and even though service is fast, it doesn't taste like fast food. We have been each time we have visited Seattle.

I am always so pleased to find a true Vegan restaurant. Veggiegrill doesn't make it clear that they are completely vegan - I thought at first they were a vegan/vegetarian mix. A quick chat with the staff assured me I could order anything on their menu. Although their range of dishes is not huge, there is something for everyone. Four of us enjoyed four different dishes - all were hot and tasty. The atmosphere is laid back and friendly, and the seating is generous for this kind of place. Definitely a great place for lunch or a quick dinner - whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, or just plain hungry!

Stick with the veggie entrees and skip anything meat related on the menu and you'll be just fine. It's named Veggie Grill for a reason. Their menu is meat-free. It was my first visit and I'm a fan! I ordered the Sonoran Winter Grill and it was perfectly filling and very tasty. I love the concept and see this restaurant doing well when a lot of people today are trying to eat healthier.

We have been to this restaurant twice. Some vegetarian restaurants can make their items disguised to be non-vegetarian actual taste like the non-vegetarian items. That is not true with Veggie Grill. If you still solely with their salads you are good. However, I was told that their fries were good as well.

I am having fun trying several restaurants that cater to my tastes more than my husbands this trip. I decided tonight I would try veggiegrill in University Village. I ordered the House Veggie Burger, sweet potato fries and a lemonade. All I can say is, that this was honestly the BEST and most delicious veggie burger I have EVER eaten! The roasted cherry tomatoes made the burger, which by the way, was over the top fabuous! Blackbeans and mushrooms make this burger tender and tasty, and it didn't fall apart at all! The sweet potato fries stayed nice and crispy even though I had to walk a couple of blocks back to where I'm staying, and the lemonade was perfect! Well done you guys! Well done!
Tasty salad but lots of fat and calories .
Had the Savory Kale Caesar Salad. For what it was - and it was quite tasty - I had no idea what a colossal fat and calorie bomb it was. 550 calories from fat out of 750 calories total. From lettuce, kale, croutons and veggie bacon. To compare, a Big Mac has 530 calories with 240 from fat.
