Ok. Go now. You have to eat at this place. This is Sassy sophisticated Ramen like the kind we all grew up on for $0.10 a pack.... only indescribably better. Get the classic Ramen I got extra garlic. I personally next time will get no bamboo shoots and extra noodles. The pot stickers are unlike anything I've ever had in the mix your own sauce that accompanies them is delicious. One container of ponzu and one container of garlic chili oil with sesame...omg I could drink it. The braised pork belly is addictive and that's the reason I made the second trip in one day. Get it as an add-on to the ramen and its only 3 bucks. The family that owns this is so sweet. They were so honored and blown away at the compliments and gracious. For drinks there is a small cooler that you can select from containing Snapple and Coke products as well as a few types of water. So glad I'm only 3 blocks away from here...

Cozy ramen spot

By Shanelle |

Cozy ramen spot located in a strip mall. Came here when it was raining and having some ramen hit the spot. I ordered the spicy ramen and had enough for leftovers the following day as it was quite filling. It came with three pieces of chashu. There were sauces on the table so you could customize the broth further. The noodles had a firm texture and the broth was well-mixed. Credit cards accepted. There’s some parking available in the front as well as metered street parking. Indoor dining only.

Ok Ramen, Near perfect Japanese style fried Chicken

By Vincent C |

Might be weird to say this but go to this ramen place for their japanese style friend chicken! Aside from being really crispy the meat is soooo juicy and tasty. We ordered the Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen (soy sauce) and it was meh. The soup was ok, noodle was good, the pork chasu was not really to my liking because they used lean meat which I would prefer the ones with a little fat on them.

Good Ramen

This is a small, simple Ramen place. Nothing fancy. Excellent Ramen, friendly servce, but nothing elegant. IMO, an excellent addition to the neighborhood; way better than the msg Chinese joint it replaced.

Ramen

I ate at this restaurant twice, once to eat in once to take out! I had the ramen and pork belly both times! The place is clean, the staff is very nice and attentive! The Ramen is delicious! I could eat here a couple times a week and still enjoy it! There are other items to try on future visits!

Authentic and amazing

Best Ramen I ever had! Small restaurant. Loved the veggie Ramen with the cabbage piled high . Authentic and not salty. Soy sauce base . Would go back again before I leave this town.

Tasty Ramen in LA

By FinnyElTraveler |

This is a good spot for authentic ramen. It was delicious and the flavora were an array of deliciousness. The service was a little brusk, or a lot brusk but the prices made up for it. Simple, authentic, delicious.

The best ramen we've ever had!

By a-travelin-foodie |

WOW! So glad they're finally open, although they're still under a "soft" opening period - which meant there were two soups to select from: spicy or not spicy. No other choices yet, although you can browse the full menu for when you return. Seriously WOW.....best ramen broth EVER - deep pork flavor; rich, luscious. The spicy was nicely spicy, not overwhelmingly hot - didn't need to add any more spice; was a tad more salty than the regular, but neither was too salty. Plenty of noodles, and perfectly cooked. Each bowl had two small pork slices (amazing) and half an egg - not much protein, but altogether perfect. At the bottom of a two story strip center with some parking out front - people come and go a lot, so it's usually not long for a space to open up.

Great Ramen in Marina del Rey

By DineJB1954 |

My significant other is Japanese and very finicky about her Ramen. Venice Ramen fits all the qualifications. Delicious broth, fresh ingredients, genuine presentation and taste. Very popular and small, so fills up fast, but worth wait.

Ramen at the Beach

By philsman |

Had the Tonkotsu Ramen (specialty of the house)- delicious broth and noodles and the Gyoza which were light and tasty. No liquor license yet.Coke is not as good as Sapporo. Cramped and crowded but they also do take out.

Not a good addition to the neighbourhood !

It use to be a really good cheap Chinese local take out then it closed and reopened as a ramen noodle bar , I love ramen noodles so I waited with great anticipation for its opening . Boy was I disappointed we ordered 2 X pork ramen bowls with 1 X dumplings and 2x extra pork belly . The noodles were like a ramen packet from the supermarket with a tub of hot stock to add yourself ? With some very chewy pork strips . The extra pork belly we ordered turned out to be 2 very small fatty chunks of just fat that were an extra ~$6 each portion , the only saving grace was the one portion of dumplings that were delicous but at $37 it made for a very expensive unejoyable take out . Be prepared to wait if you want to dine in as there are only a few tables in a very small space but I'm sure as word gets around that the goods nothing special seating will be a breeze !

Getting better and better!

2nd time in this place. The Ramen is very good although it lucks some ingredients I like to have in a Tonkotsu Ramen like fried garlic, mushrooms and seaweed. We tried Gyoza which was fantastic! Service is good. We'll come again.

Satisfying

By libbikins |

Was excited to find this place close to our hotel in Marina Del Rey. It was super busy at night , limes out the door , which I guess is a good sign !? We decided to wait till lunch the next day , when it wasn't so busy . Everyone is greeted loudly by the entire staff including cooks when you walk in the door . Service was very friendly . My husband ordered the spicy bowl and I ordered the regular with pork ... We actually ended up trading and were both happier ;-) ( I highly recommend the spicy one - it has a different type of noodle which I preferred too ) We also had the gyoza which i thought were too big and a bit "doughy" but not too bad of that's what you're craving ...;-)

Cali Trip

Great place to go. The menu is not very big but what's on it is really really good. I can just recommend this place if anybody is near the marina and looking for something to eat.

Authentic Ramen in LA

By David S |

I stayed at the Marina Del Rey Marriott and was happy to learn that Venice Ramen was around the corner. I read a review on Trip Advisor and was not disappointed. The restaurant is very small and authentic - they make everything (soup, noodles, sides) from scratch at the restaurant. The chicken ramen was excellent - tasty with firm noodles and a thicker soup. It's only $10-12 for ramen - yes it's more than buying a cup of noodles, but soooo much better.

Neighborhood noodle restraurant

Tonkatsu ramen was 8.5 out of 10 @ $12 each. Gyoza was good. Small dining area and has shared parking lot.

Best handmade ramen

By charles n |

Spicy tonkotsu is best I’ve eaten. Enjoyed the fresh handmade ramen. Small cozy atmosphere. Could be long wait but worth it. Char Su was real tender and good. Definitely would visit again

April

Old building, dirty chairs, garden salad was fair. Chicken was dry, fatty, and quite frankly didn't look or taste like chicken. Staff were friendly and had a great view of the Boulevard.

Waiting, waiting, waiting....

By Jean B |

I live in the area, so I go there from time to time for pick up or seating (small place). I really like their Ramens and specially the tonkotsu soy sauce, which is excellent. Unfortunately, i do not got that often anymore as it take a long time to get your food, placed an order and wait outside for your food to be ready. You can spend 15 minutes calling to order and no one answer, if you order online it can take 1 hour to pick up and often I waited an extra 20/30 minutes outside the restaurant to get my food. It seems that they have some service/staff issues as they all look to work hard but maybe they are short. I love the food but be ready to wait.

Delicious

By RickyBobbie |

We ate lunch here and would highly recommend the Spicy Tanmen Ramen which was overflowing with fresh vegetables and lots of noodles. The broth was delicious but not at all spicy. My partner had the Spicy Tonkotsu which was a significantly smaller bowl also with good broth, fresh ingredients but also not spicy. Service was fast and they were busy.

Very Expensive Ramen

By Jean B |

New Ramen restaurant in Marina Del Rey and I think It is the only Ramen restaurant in the area so this is a good addition regardless. Unfortunately it is expensive, around $12 for a "regular" Ramen with 2 slices of thin pork (you can read a book through the pork), a half egg, green onions and bamboo shoot. OK taste (you can get much better at the Japanese market on Venice Blvd for cheaper), but simply not much for the price. Hours are weird (closed between lunch and diner, closed Sunday), it is Los Angeles, not Tokyo (and I love Tokyo, one of my favorite city), not a practical place to eat. Service is nice and welcoming. At the end, it is expensive for Ramen and portion are not generous, I love Ramen but it is a "street food", this restaurant makes me feel like a tourist, not worth the price unless you are desperate and do not want to drive elsewhere.

Possibly the best Tonkutsu in LA

By Michael S |

This is really a Tonkutsu Ramen like you get in Tokyo. The owner is Japanese himself and has 4 Ramen restaurants in Tokyo. He knows his craft. Very, very tasty and spicy. Always happy to go back and I would even go there specifically in LA, it's that good.

Ramen Just like in Japan

By Travel Guy |

This little place serves great ramen that is almost as good as you can get in Japan. The serving was large & everything was fresh & authentic. Small seating area outside because of covid. Keep this place going & visit & enjoy some wonderful food.

Sooooo good. Authentic ramen

By Aprill M |

Delicious ramen. Everything we ordered was great. Small seating area but cozy. Attentive staff that was very helpful. Enjoyed the experience. Got there early for dinner around 5:30 on a Wednesday and when we were done there was a line outside waiting.

Terrific ramen

By jackspades |

If you’re looking for very tasty, authentic ramen at a small location with no frills, just good food, Venice Ramen is an excellent option. Ordered the spicy tonkatsu ramen and fried chicken on the side. All very good!

Good start !

By Tomer Zadok |

It is a fantastic idea to have this food available on the way to / from the beach. Good Ramen can stand alone as a full meal. They just open this plac. Still not serving the full menu but it looks promising. As for the Tonkotsu Ramen - the broth lacks richness and depth as the great places I'm familiar with in New York and Hong Kong. They don't let you choose the parameters of the soup, however- it is the real stuff ! It looks promising! I'll come back

Great Ramen, Good Price

By ToAnywhere |

I'd seen this restaurant in a small strip mall from my hotel window since earlier this year and decided to try it. It's easy walking distance (5 - 10 minutes) from the hotels on Admiralty Way on the Marina. I had the tonkotsu ramen. The broth was rich and tasty, with fattiness and saltiness in good balance. The restaurant's web site shows the proprietor as a veteran of Tokyo ramen shops, so while the al dente, straight noodles were new for me in a ramen soup, they were a deliberate feature of the tonkotsu ramen and I was happy with the noodles. The gyoza were large, freshly made and had a good vegetable crunch. It's a small space, but it's clean and the staff is welcoming. My regular size tonkotsu ramen and an order of gyoza came to $19.08 before the tip.

Yum Yum

New to Ramen…wasn’t disappointed. I had the chicken ramen. It was the most delicious broth I have ever had. Cannot find one yet to beat it. My son had the pork tonkatsu ramen. He loved his as well. When you dine in you ramen is served in beautiful bowls. Much care goes into packing your dinner for takeout as well. We have returned a few times already. Yum!!

Little Authentic Ramen Restaurant

By anne A |

We found this by accident after other lunch plans failed! It was a really authentic ramen place and all the food we ordered was great. It's tiny and very casual, but well worth it!

Best of the best!

By Tb H |

This authentic Japanese Ramen restaurant is one of the bestIve ever been to. They enthusiastically greet you and say goodbye as they do in Japan, where the restaurant originated. Everything is made in house and they offer two types of noodles (thin and regular). The service is impeccable and very friendly. You can’t go wrong here!

Great ramen

Nice traditional ramen. We had take away, and were very satisfied. I am sure I will come back. Next time probably as a sit-in.
