Had a great meal last nite on the patio as the sun set. Just a wonderful atmosphere and great service by Vickie. Great menu with fantastic wine selection.

We decided to walk in to the Veranda around 7:30 last Friday night. It was busy, but we requested Vickie and knew there would not be a problem. Even the hostess mentioned "Vickie is a strong one, she can handle another table." We sat and were greeted within a minute, by an energetic and surprised Vickie! Whenever we come in we sit in her station. She did not know we were coming and she was so happy to see us. We decided to share a bottle of wine and split a few appetizers tonight instead of ordering entrees. We munched on some bread and tapenade while we waited. Tapenade = A+, bread = C... it was cold and dry. We had the margherita pizza, brisket quesadilla and shrimp bruschetta. The shrimp and brisket were out of this world and we wished we had ordered one order of shrimp each! The pizza was ok - it would have been better with a thinner (by at least half) crust. It was pretty thick and dry. Our daughter had a kid's burger with fries. The burger was a bit overdone, but I assume because it was on the kid's menu... but the fries and the bay seasoning were delicious and crispy. Creme brulee for dessert ended the meal well. Even if the food is not always ***** (5 stars), we know our experience will be if we are in Vickie's section.. and that was the case. She's always so happy, efficient and upbeat. 5 stars for Vickie, 3.5-4 for the food tonight, for an overall 4. We will be back.

We were guests at the Rancho Bernardo Inn- as my mom surprised me for my 35th birthday! We spent the most magical day at the spa, and when it came time for dinner, we knew where we wanted to go! Unfortunately my mom did not set a reservation for outside, as when she was booking, she was told it wasn’t necessary (however, book a reservation!)- it was popular that evening, with live music on the patio (beautiful!). We went to the hostess stand, pretty confident there would not be anyway to be seated, my mom mentioned that it was my birthday- and Evan, who was at the front, made magic happen! He was able to find us a cushion seating area by the fire, and recommended drinks, the best apps and food. The entire dinner he continued to check on us making sure we were OK and truly gave us the best recommendations! The whole meal from start to finish was delicious and ended perfectly with a beautiful surprise dessert. Evan, it was the perfect ending to the perfect day. Thank you so much for your warmth, care, and ability to make us have such a joyful birthday! We will absolutely be back.

Great spot to enjoy our perfect SD weather. Don’t bother sitting inside, the patio is the draw, overlooking the golf course. My “go-to” for Spring and Summer business lunches, it’s like taking a mini-vacation from the work week.

Beautiful night to celebrate our sisters birthday outside on the Veranda. Live music set the tone for a great night. Our waitress Vicky was outstanding, very knowledgeable and assertive to our needs. Thanks for everything, see you again soon!!

I have lived in San Diego for over 50 years and been all over San Diego wining and dining. I do not know how I missed this gem. My wife and another couple who recommended the Veranda enjoyed the short rib potato skins and the poke bowl for an appetizer. Delicious. I had the rib eye for dinner that was seasoned to perfection. I did not pay attention to what my table mates had for dinner I was to focused on my steak. Dessert was the bread pudding. The gal we were with sez it was Vincent Prices recipe. It was spooktacular. Our waitress Amanda provided exceptional service. After dinner we moved over to the outside fireplace and enjoyed a cocktail and music performed by a Musician named Gonzo who was very good. What a great evening!!!

Thank you Vicki for the amazing service. We had a Shaklee business dinner. The Lamb Lollypops were soooooo good and the Diver Scallops were delicious also.

Emily D made my friend's birthday celebration extra special with her great service and bright smile.

An excellent place for outdoor dining with a feel of intimate, classic settings and foods. The menu is extensive, with a wide assortment of entrees. A perfect spot for an evening meal. The dishes were well displayed and very tastey. The charm of the place will only add to the comfort of the surroundings.

Dined here with friends to celebrate a birthday. What a beautiful setting, good food and unbelievable service. Emily M. was so warm and friendly and on top of our every need. She went above and beyond to serve us. I would return again just to be treated so royally by her!

Wonderful setting for our last meal in California. Delicious food at reasonable prices for the setting and lovely, relaxed service from Vicki. Would definitely come back if we’re ever in this part of the world again!

Between the ambience, menu, and service we couldn't have asked for more- So happy with our experience. My husband and I celebrated our 25th anniversary in elegance and style. Thanks again Veranda Fireside !

Inside of Rancho Bernardo inn , had breakfast, ordered off menu, they do offer a buffet also, food was very good except I had to send the sausage back as it was well done

I loved this place, feels like you are far away in another world, very serene and beautiful. The food is really good, if they had more variety, I would have given them a higher review. Love this place.

A friend and I had dinner there at the Veranda one evening this week. Fabulous food, lovely live music, and Vicki, our server, took very good care of us. We will definitely be back!

We met for dinner and had the house burger - delicious and unique, especially the jalapeño fig jam topping. Although the evening was cool, there were plenty of heat lamps and our server Vicki was fabulous, as was the live band. Highly recommend it!

First off let me start by saying what a beautiful resurant. The staff were so welcoming. Sara S. was our server. She went above and beyond to make sure our time there was well enjoyed and made us feel like family. Always with a smile and made us laugh too! She's amazing! The Cobb salad was to die for! So delicous. I will be back next time I am in town! Make sure to ask to sit in Sara's section. She will treat you right!

We were staying with another couple and met at the Veranda on the day we arrived for an early dinner. First, the bar attached to the restaurant is a disaster. Two bartenders tripping all over themselves trying to make drinks in a very small bar area. Decor is very dark and dated. The Veranda itself is a lovely outdoor venue with a great view overlooking the golf course. But the menu is very limited and ordinary. The food is unimaginative. While it is well-prepared, everyone in our party was underwhelmed.

It is a bit inland but worth to see. Very pretty and you get to feel fresh air and light breeze at night.

When a menu item says “foraged mushrooms “, you don’t expect to see average button mushrooms. Not a single exotic mushroom found. When an item says it comes with “vegetable hash”, you don’t expect to see a small handful of cubed zucchini squash. I asked for this item without eggs, had to pay extra for avocado (in lieu of egg protein) and although it tasted fine, the portion size for $20 is a little insulting. With that being said, our server was incredibly kind and professional. Nice views, nice ambience.

Atmosphere was great, service top notch ,food and cocktail delicious, free parking and incredible views. We were a large crowd of ladies, the accommodating waitress made a deal with us if we stayed in our seats then she would do individual checks. Perfect resolution!

Emily D. and Brandon J served myself and 2 work colleagues for a dinner. Scallops with asparagus risotto was phenomenal - perfectly cooked. My colleagues had the halibut and salmon options, both of which were excellent as well. And then bread pudding for desert, 1 serving was enough for the three of us. And Emily did a great wine selection for us as well.

the food was delicious with options for everybody, even vegan diets. desserts exquisite. the fireplace and patio outdoors is especially comfortable. our server Vickie is really sweet, attentive, and took great care of us. we had great time and could spend another long evening there as a couple or group of friends. would like to check out the live music sometime, looks like a great spot for it.

My husband and I had a quick lunch outside at Veranda and Emily D. was fantastic. Great ahi sandwich and burger and excellent service on a lovely day! She was very attentive while preparing a huge table for a special event.

Obsessed with this restaurant and hotel! We have had the most amazing service from everyone. Amanda was our server at dinner and was amazing and patient with our huge group. Netanya the hostess is so sweet and accommodating. She was amazing with our dogs and helped us push more tables together. Our dogs had the 5 star treatment with waters with ice and eggs! So nice. We also had a server Ryan who was also amazing. Thank you everyone! Having a great time at Rancho Bernardo Inn.

Vicki took great care of us! Delicious meal, lovely atmosphere and service that made the night very special! 5stars to Vicki, the heaters weren’t needed with her warmth and graciousness!

We stopped at the Veranda Fireside lounge time have lunch. We found the restaurant to be awesome with a beautiful atmosphere. The food was great and most importantly Emily D. Our server was the best!!!!!!! I highly recommend to anyone looking for a great lunch/ dinner with great personal service!

The three of us, my husband, my 93-year-old mother and I, enjoyed a very nice dinner. We chose a nice bottle of rose from France. My mother and Eli ordered the scampi pasta, which they loved. I had the poke bowl-terrific! Good service, beautiful view, live music. What could be better? We’re coming back to celebrate her birthday next week.

I enjoyed a great lunch experience. A well made Aperol Spritz, Bread Basket Appetizer and the freshest Arugula & Burrata Salad I've ever had anywhere in the world. The service by Sal was superb! And as always the view is a mini-vacation. Everyone made me feel welcome. Thank you!

We dine here regularly, having stayed at the resort twice before, when we became locals it was a no brainer to make this our go to dinner out. We always bring guests who are visiting the area and have established a very comfortable rapport with staff. We enjoy the sourdough boule on every visit! I love the burger and my husband always gets the ribeye we’ve never had any problems with our meals or service that wasn’t immediately corrected (once before we noticed) Evan genuinely wants to receive feedback and remembers his regulars when they’re visiting. Sal is a great server with a good sense of timing the food without rushing or delaying the meal with the pace of the evening. Manda always manages our reservations to ensure we’re sat quickly without overwhelming any staff and accommodates sitting where we may prefer when she can! We almost always get the seasonal cheesecake and it’s been good every time! The live music is always nice too!

Thank you Tami for your excellent service and remembering all our family member's names during our dinner. Your service and smile were a treat!

We had reservations for 7:30 PM. Given that we had traveled from Atlanta on Xmas day, we were super tired with the time zone change. We called the restaurant and requested if we could move up the reservation - they accommodated. We went there for dinner at 7 PM. Amazing ambience. Feels like you are in a courtyard in Spain. the lighting, the warmth of the heat lamps, the slight chill in the air. Its overlooking the golf course. But since it was dark you can see the soft glow of the lamps and the lit up fountains. The entire resort is beautiful. My wife loved her Strawberry Basil Martini - it was delicately balanced. My daughter had the mac and cheese and vanilla ice cream. My son, my wife and I - we had the goat cheese Chibata appetizer which was amazing and we then we got the margarita flatbread and mushroom flatbread - the margarita was good but the mushroom was just next level delicious. We also got a side of mashed potatoes which my daughter enjoyed. We finished with chocolate lava cake which was absolutely amazing. Our service was also warm, cheerful and efficient - Highly recommended - awesome food, lovely ambience and great service.

We always enjoy spending special occasions at the Veranda. It holds a special place in our hearts. We also love to visit Vickie and always ask for her service, even if it means we sit inside vice on the patio. This was the case on our last visit, but it was great because it was nice and cool inside while outside was sweltering. Vickie was very attentive and made sure we were happy the entire evening. Though the steaks we ordered were on the salty side (the filet more salty than the rib eye), we finished our plates. Because we were not fully satisfied with our meal we were comped some dessert - unexpected but graciously accepted. :-) I would just suggest ordering no salt or light salt and then you can add as much as you wish... especially when the steaks come with sauces or herbed butter. Regardless, a fun evening that ended with some shuffleboard in the bar.

Our bookclub met for happy hour and moved into the patio at the Veranda for dinner. We were a loud and rambunctious group and Vicki handled us with great panache. Had a wonderful time.. thank you Vicki!

This restaurant is absolutely amazing—we come here multiple times a month! Kayla is an outstanding waitress who always takes great care of us. Carolina makes the best mojitos we've ever had!!! and Wendi is always so kind and compassionate in the bar. Every visit is a wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

We're locals but had not been to Veranda until a friend recently said, "Oh, I can't believe you've never been there; you have to go!" So we did. And we love it. The Rancho Bernardo Inn is beautiful and elegant (and we had been to the Inn and to the now closed El Bizcocho restaurant there), but we hadn't visited for a while. Veranda Fireside Lounge & Restaurant was perfect. With fireplaces, fire pits, and patio heaters to warm us up on a cool evening, live music (Spanish guitar one evening; always something nice), and excellent service and food, we have now been several times and will keep going back. We must give special kudos to special servers, Vickie and Emily and to Ashley and Isaiah. Thank you. We'll be back!

We met my wife's closest friend here for brunch. We did not realize that we needed reservations. The management was very accommodating and worked us in. The weather was perfect making the veranda setting perfect. The menu is excellent. We ordered exactly what we wanted. The staff took a photo of the three of us that will remain a priceless treasure. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Rancho Bernardo.

Even on a chilly night it is so lovely to have a treat by the fire. Plenty of warmth 💖. Easy to sit by yourself if you are traveling alone. The staff is so friendly and welcoming.

Thanks to Vicki and the kitchen staff for another lovely dinner, bruschetta and lamb cutlets were yum

We came here to celebrate my mother in law’s birthday. I set a reservation for 5:30pm, and they sat us promptly and honored my request and gave us one of their best tables. VICKIE was our waitress and she was absolutely fabulous!!! She made our night THAT much better. She was so helpful, so attentive. Felt like a family member taking care of us.

We come to this restaurant often and always enjoy a great meal and good service. The view of the golf course is great, but would be improved if the golf course put the lights on the fountain back on,

Came here for lunch, service was very professional and friendly, the tacos were made with very fresh ingredients and a nice selection of local and international wines. To recomend not only for golfers.

This restaurant is our go-to spot for date night. The open air seating is very comfortable with heaters at night. The food is always good and I have never been disappointed by the burger. We’ll keep coming back!

We came here for brunch with some friends from Riverside Co. this past Sunday. The setting, just off the golf course at the Rancho Bernardo Inn Golf Course, is lovely especially on a patented sunny Southern California day. Brunch officially begins at 11:30 am on Sunday and at that time patrons have the choice of breakfast or lunch entrees. The choices are limited in number but cover all of the bases quite nicely with some very interesting unusual entrees, Machaca Burrito,Short Rib Hash, as well as several old standbys, burgers, eggs benedict for example. The bloody mary's are wonderful. They also offer several interesting types of Mimosas. We spent a good deal of time visiting with our friends and were very pleased that the staff did not try to hustle us to make quick decisions or to leave when we completed our meal. The wait staff was simply outstanding , especially our wait person, Michelle, K. She was attentive, and very helpful but not intrusive. She handled our special requests for handling the bill with aplomb and good grace. She also brought us information about several of the programs at the restaurants in the hotel as well as the spa.

We are locals, just moved to the area, and went for a date night to Veranda. There were so many people! The patio had folks milling around and sitting on benches, waiting for the live music to start. I learned that there's live music there every night during the summer. We sat at the bar because we hadn't made reservations, which I learned are rather important on a Saturday night to if you want a table. We’ll be back!

My family and I have been coming to The Veranda for over 40 years and the food has always been top quality. Their menu for breakfast lunch and dinner has many crowd pleasers and whatever you choose you can rest assured that it will be fresh and tasty! On the other hand the service has been a little slow which I have attributed to the relaxed resort atmosphere. Recently we have had the pleasure of being served by Emily. She has set the bar extremely high to provide wonderful, friendly and efficient service. She always has a smile and she goes the extra mile to make sure that every little detail is to our liking. Last week she ran out to the parking lot to return my credit card that a had left at our table. Today we had excellent service at lunch including extra chips for our tasty guacamole appetizer. Do yourself a favor and ask for Emily the next time you go to the Veranda. I sure that you will have exceptional service! If you like Prime Rib, don’t miss the all you can eat Prime Rib dinner on Wednesday nights. It is the Best!!!

We had an excellent dinner and our server Vicky was excellent as we enjoyed friends birthday celebration. Thank you for a pleasant evening

Very pleasant spot with great view of the golf course. Scallops were super. Vickie was our server and was very nice. Beautiful but very busy. Make reservations on the weekend

The food is excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful. The service is excellent, especially when I get Vickie as my server. She is always so pleasant and helpful. The prime rib is excellent. The Veranda is just a wonderful place to dine. As I said I keep coming back.

We enjoyed the food here. The music leaves a lot to be desired. On the particular Sunday night we were there, there was a female singer

I celebrated my friends birthday today at Veranda and from the service, to the food, to the ambiance and view everything was top notch!! Our waitress Sara was extremely kind and attentive. I enjoyed the omelette, absolutely delicious!! My friend was able to order a Cobb salad even though it was a little earlier then they typically serve lunch, a very nice touch, especially since it's her birthday. The grounds are impeccably kept, which makes for a beautiful view.

Our server, Emily, was terrific! She checked in often, gave helpful suggestions, and was very personable. Jorge was excellent as too. We were well cared for throughout a beautiful afternoon lunch on the veranda.

While the food at Veranda is nice, but not particulary special, our server made our evening a wonderful experience! Vicky was very knowledgeable, offered great suggestions, was very pleasant and extremely attentive. Thnkas to Vicky and the beautiful views from the patio, our evening was a success! It’s doubtful we will dine at Veranda again, but most certainly will have cocktails and and appetizers on the patio - beautiful setting!

I was two times in the restaurant this week due to an event on the hotel. Service was really nice and attentive, friendly and relaxed. Food was good both times, the linguini with shrimps I do recommend. Not extraordinary but very good. Portions a little large for Europeans style so some food waste to be expected, unfortunately.

Rancho Bernardo is a truly a resort. Once you enter the grounds, you forget you're are in San Diego. The outdoor, Veranda Restaurant, is located with a beautiful view of the green golf course. Whenever I've been there, the weather has been perfect. Excellent food, excellent service. A great spot for lunch!

We had a blast listening to live music and eating the night away. If you find yourself there ask to have Tami as a server! I’m in the service industry and she was probably the best I have come across in a long time. She made the night more joyful, and helped to really help the night end beautifully. Dinner was fabulous (angus burger) bread pudding for dessert and holy cow Tami mixes the drinks too! I thought sitting in the back corner would equate to bad service it was quite the opposite!

Reserved well in advance for special family birthday dinner. An attractive setting overall though our seating did not offer full advantage of it (even though we had asked at time of reservation for best seating/view, etc as it was a special occasion and a party of nine, so manageable but still guaranteeing a fairly large cheque!). Most disappointing was both the food and the service - both were mediocre, we really had expected much more from this place. Our waiter was minimally friendly and professional but didn’t make any particular effort to make it a special time. The food also, perfectly acceptable but certainly unremarkable. Also, the live music was a guy with a guitar doing some pretty lame ‘oldies’ music, a bit too loud to be purely background, not good enough to be worth paying too much attention to - and who refused to do Happy Birthday even after my son-in-law slipped him a $20 - I mean really, a brief, tasteful version of the song could have been offered (and should be something he was prepared for) - it was my father’s 95th birthday. Overall, unfortunately I can’t really recommend the Veranda — a pretty place for a romantic dinner, but based on our experience, don’t go there for an above average dining experience.

The Veranda Restaurant is inside the Rancho Bernardo Inn. There are tables inside and a large outdoor patio with fireplaces and heaters. We were there for breakfast and sat inside since it was a little cold outside, It was a Sunday and there was a buffet for $29.00 per person but we didn't want that much food and ordered off the menu. My wife didn't care for her eggs benedict and my egg dish was just ok. The bloody mary was good though.

Upon check in, this resort has exceeded my expectations. Brianne the host was wonderful right of the bat, she was welcoming and did her best to make sure everyone was accommodated because there were so many people at once. The outside area is breathtaking! Ask for a table by the wall! Our server Lauren was great, she made us feel so welcomed and almost like family. It’s not easy going out with my dietitary restrictions but she was cautious and was very detailed when explaining the food. 5 stars all around ! Food was delicious order the short rib potato skins as an app!

We spent a delightful day having lunch on the patio. My husband said the pizza was the best he had ever eaten and sent that message to the chef. I had a tasty salad. Nothing was too much trouble for the waiter who was professional and delightful. This will be our place to dine whenever in the area.

Vicki made sure our experience at Veranda was perfect. She was very attentive and kept our drinks full. The food was exceptional with a nice golf course view. Cant wait to go back.

I had a grueling week and decided to treat myself to the Rancho Bernardo Inn. I visited the spa for an invigorating massage with mimosas. After I was floating from massage I drifted over to the Veranda for some brunch. My server Jorge was beyond amazing. He recommended the pear and arugula salad which complimented my mood perfectly. I continued to enjoy another mimosa and Jorge mentioned I should stroll the gardens after my meal. I took him up on his offer and I have never been so thankful. The gardens were immaculate and I would recommend a stroll to ANYONE (weather permitting). Thank you Jorge for the wonderful experience and I hope you enjoy my hometown in Georgia as much as I do.

We celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary at Veranda on November 18. We sat in Vickie's section and got the experience the magic that so many others have already reported. We were seated at 5:30 PM so it was already dark and a little chilly. The patio heaters cut the chill and made it a romantic time. Our meal was outstanding and not rushed. Vickie does a great job getting to know you without being intrusive or spending too much time with you. Our meal was a romantic dinner that was relaxed, delicious, and very, very memorable.

Made a reservation for 8 @8 we got there and they said they didn’t have the reservation. However when I make a reservation I’ve leaned you always take a picture with your phone just in case the internet decides to mess up. Last night was my saving grace since I had the picture they honored the reservation. The manager was super sweet and fixed the issue. The best part was our waitress Emily made it all ok. She was fast, friendly, knowledgeable and gave our graduates a nice dessert for graduation, her personality won all of us all over. I hope if you get the chance to visit this restaurant you get her as your server because she was amazing and her helper Fermin. Great job guys you turned an emotional day into a happy one!

What a great experience at the Veranda Restaurant at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. The atmosphere was well suited for the Holiday Season and the food was outstanding. All of this was made special due to our server Vicky. She made the night special for our entire staff. Her laugh was contagious!!

Such a beautiful setting over looking the golf course. Food was well prepared and generous. Emily D. was an A++ server and took good care of us. Marcos delivered the food in a timely manner. I love taking my family here!

I highly recommend Veranda Fireside lounge. The views and atmosphere were wonderful. We really enjoyed our time sitting outside on the veranda. The food was delicious. Our server, Sara, was splendid! She had a pleasant, entertaining personality and was extremely attentive.

Lovely Busy Brunch But....Understaffed? Overworked? Not Your Table? We went for a Sunday brunch around 1:30. With a reservation we were seated immediately, however, no one came around for quite some time. We had to request our server. That sent three or for servers to huddle and we could over hear the discussion of 'not mine', 'not mine' 'mine either' Not a warm feeling. Kinda awkward when the server came over and asked what we'd like to drink. We ordered tea and a mimosa. Then no server. No server some more. The place was maybe 75% occupied at this time. So...already feeling uneasy/unwelcomed we had to ask the server about them as he was refilling our water and hadn't mentioned drinks. and ask about our drinks. Odd. So we said "...let's be ready to order our food when we get our drink..." because clearly our table was hexed or we looked like we couldn't tip and might run out on the bill. Our server who is very pleasant returned with drinks and we gave our full order, apps and all, at one time. Apps got served. The guacamole. Which is INCREDIBLE. We eat out a lot, and I have to say...this ranks in my top 5 ever. The guac was so fresh and smartly done with just the right amount of lime, it's got some neurological component that makes you crave it!. Now, the chips they are beyond good. But such a small serving of chips...in that we had half of the guac left and unfortunately had to flag down the server (second or third time, to say 'hey..remember us? We needed chips. And our water and tea were out. Like drained down to drops and ice cubes. Our server returned with chips, and we had to ask again for refills on the water. The place at this point was 50% full. Not quite sure as to the why we had to ask for the basic things, refills, 'how is your food' etc. For my main, I had the pasta, which was prepared well, slightly high in price, as it was mostly pasta, albeit to the purchaser of goods, it's not a pedestrian pasta, but a non- starchy-pasty. There were and some lovely portabellas (or criminins - can't recall) sauted and with a light brothy sauce. It made for good left overs the next day. After quite sometime our server, who was still very pleasant but not quite attentive, he came by and cleared our dishes. As expected he asked about dessert. As much as I wanted a sweet treat ....I thought I might not see it until the dinner guests were seated. All in all, we have a home 20 miles away...and I will try try this place again. Why? The setting. The chips. The guac. Maybe it was an off day. Maybe the server is always this way. Maybe....but I feel to be fair they need another test drive. If we feel welcome, then it's our new place. If we feel like the uninvited guests....then...there's other choices. (Please be good. Please be good. Please. )

My Dental Office did a great office party at the Veranda Fireside Lounge at the RB Inn. The live music was great, and the food was very good. The service was terrific also. Our server named Terri was sweet and accommodating for our large party. After dinner we all sat by the open fire place and talked and danced. Great place!

Our waitress Vickie was very nice and welcoming. She brought a nice little truffle with chocolate sauce and strawberries for my uncle's birthday free of charge. It was a wonderful little gesture that will ensure we return for a future birthday.

I've have been visiting Veranda for a few years to celebrate my anniversary and I've always had a great experience at the restaurant. Claire, our hostess, provided excellent and friendly service, going above and beyond to accommodate our request for a particular table. The food, as usual, was delicious, with a great wine selection to compliment any dish. Our waitress, Lauren, was also very kind and made excellent dining recommendations for the special evening. I'm always pleased with our visits; the ambience is great, the scenery is beautiful, and it's not uncommon to hear live music being played toward the corner of the patio area as the sun draws to a close for the evening. We're always grateful for how we're treated during our visits and intend on celebrating our anniversary at the restaurant again next year.

While staying at RBI we ate several meals at Veranda. The breakfast service was good, though a bit pricey for my taste (to be fair, very large servings). The lunch and dinner services we had spotty service (forgetting parts of orders, dropping food, neglecting to get water for late joiners, etc) and the food was only fair (kids menu had dry burgers, the spiced pear in the arugula salad tastes like soap, but otherwise ok) for the prices. The view is amazing, which makes up for a lot, but I would have thought the experience would have been better given the hotel.

Had a great lunch at Veranda. Sat outside and it was very relaxing. I ordered the Ago Poke from the appetizer menu, but it was enough food for a meal. My husband ordered the risotto which was a seasonal dish. Both were excellent

Sara (a.k.a. Lous/Louisa) made all the difference in the world. Exceptional from the start to the finish. Our favorite pastime is to share the "continental". Plenty for two! One of us enjoys the bottomless coffee cup, while the other sips the GIANT glass of orange juice appreciatively. We take home the ample plate of fruit, and imbibe on every single pastry while we sit ringside on the beautiful golf course! Location can't be beat. Bakery items can't be beat. Service can't be beat. Look forward to return visits.

Read the reviews and decided to take the drive from San Diego to go to the restaurant. The outdoor seating was very nice, but the service and the food did not match. Firstly, it was hard to find the waiter when needed. He appeared to be a bored college student who could not wait to return to school. Motivation was definitely lacking. Ordered the shrimp cocktail as the appetizer. The shrimp had a strange taste so I did not finish them. Brought this issue to the waiter´s attention, but he did nothing. Ordered the salmon dish with a vegetables and a broth. It was terrible. Not sure what the chef was thinking. The carrots were not trimmed, so they had their tops on and they were extremely sogging, similar to what you were served in elementary school. The salmon had the skin on, so one had to struggle to remove the skin before eating it. The green beans did not taste fresh, so it would appear that the old vegetables were used for this dish. Overall, the only redeming quality was the outside seating and perhas the wine list. Would not go back and caution the readers to think twice about driving from San Diego to go to this restaurant. There are much better establishments in the area.

What a relaxing beautiful restaurant! We ate out on the patio, listened to live music, and took in the view of the golf course and hills. Oh, and course the food was really good-quality and tasty. Our server Vikki was great! We could tell she’s a hard worker and did so with a smile and down-to-earth demeanor. The only change I would make is they should have the basic salt and pepper shakers on the table.

Last night, we enjoyed a really wonderful dinner at the Veranda at RBI. It was very busy, but our server, Vickie, was friendly, welcoming, bright and happy. I cannot deny that being recognized after quite a bit of time since my last time there was awfully nice. Vickie is a long-time employee of RBI and having that type of connection cannot be duplicated. The dinner was excellent, delicious and nicely presented. The entire experience was great! Reservations necessary.

Food and drinks are good, great place to gather with friends. In the summer it’s hard to find open spots and it’s first come first serve.

A special, unforgettable place - in all respects. Food and beverage options range from high end to comfort food. Great mix of people. Live music most evenings. Even if you are not staying at the Rancho Bernardo Inn, it’s worth going there to dine.

Had dinner at Veranda, our server was Vickie. I have been here many times One of my favorite restaurants by far. The food is excellent and I always ask for Vickie our server. Fortunately most of the time I have had Vickie as our server. She is so friendly and attentive she make the evening very enjoyable. I had the rack of lamb it was as excellent as always.

The food and ambiance is really nice. Our waitress Vicki made the evening even more special. Can’t wait to go back!

Vicki did a great job serving our family all you can eat Prime Rib! We met friends there for a great summer meal. The kids were happy, well fed and more importantly respected by all employees. Vicki attended to our every need for the 3 hours we ate. 5 star food along with the service.

We ate at Veranda three times -- lunch inside the bar, dinner inside the restaurant, but the best experience was dinner outside! The heaters worked great (it was a cold February evening), and the fireplace and music nearby provided a cozy ambiance. Our servers were great -- friendly, efficient, and gave good recommendations. We had one experience when the chicken we were served was quite dry, but they took it away quickly and a new entree came out right away. Quintessential San Diego outdoor dining!

The service we had from Sara for my Birthday lunch was hands down the BEST! She made my day extra special by bringing me a complimentary Creme Brulee with fresh flowers. What a thoughtful thing to do! My husband and I eat out often and we both can say Sara was the best server we have had in years. She was attentive, knowledgeable, friendly and made our meal an exceptional and a most memorable experience. Cheers to Veranda Fireside Lounge and to Sara for making my day that much more special! If you stop in ask for Sara. She is the best.

My wife and I and another couple came here for drinks and dinner. The food drinks for fantastic and the view was wonderful. Our server Vicki was very attentive and so nice. We enjoyed the lamb lollipops and chips with guacamole. After our appetizers we enjoyed Ribeye steaks and sea scallops. Great night with acoustic guitarist in the background. We will be coming here again.

The staff at this restaurant (the staff on any part of the Rancho Bernardo property) are great. They take customer service seriously. We had dinner here one night during a recent stay. We also had room service breakfast and pub food (which come from the same kitchen) while staying on the property. All the food was quite good. There is no need to leave the property to eat elsewhere when staying at Rancho Bernardo.

Outstanding meal in a delightful and relaxed outdoor setting. Lovely views over the golf course. No rush, competent service and very fair amd reasonable pricing. Enjoy

We had the pleasure of being served by Emily and had a beautiful al fresco dinner near the fireplace. My husband’s salmon was perfectly seared on the outside, but still moist. We loved the shishito peppers with the preserved lemon and ricotta. I had the creamy cilantro dressing on my salad and I wish they could bottle and sell that stuff. It’s tangy and creamy and so flavorful that you just need a little, so it helps keep the calories down. I suggest going upstairs to Avant to grab a glass of the Austerity Cab that they have on tap. It’s delicious and reasonable.

We had an amazing anniversary dinner at the Veranda Restaurant. We really appreciated the hostess Sydney. She gave us a wonderful table right in front of the fireplace and musician. She also was great the following morning for breakfast. Thank you Sydney.

Dinner was nice,I had the paella, which was excellent, just a touch of spice. The server, Vickie, was very helpful and pleasant. She shared good recommendations about the menu, was engaging and down to earth with a good sense of humor, and went out of her way to accommodate a drink that was served incorrectly. She was prompt and efficient.

Stellar and attentive, perfect interval, anticipated our needs Greeted with a smile and seated as requested. No driks but yes, wine. Recommend stripped bass, exceptional. Stayed in the Inn, so just walked. The hospitality of lodging matched the excellent dining.

We had an amazing lunch here. The service was my favorite part, followed closely by the food. I had the ahi sandwich, which couldn't have been better. Emily D and Marlon were the best servers I've had in a long time. Their energy, recommendations and general positive attitude left an impression. Simply put, they were determined for us to have a great lunch.

The food and service are always very good here. Special props to our server, Emily D, who was friendly and very attentive. The food prices are probably on the high side but for a luxury resort, that's not unusual.

Our waiter Sal was the absolute best. He was caring, friendly and efficient. We are not big eaters and just ordered the Brussels sprouts and a hamburger to share. Both were well prepared and delicious. Most of the seating is outdoors with umbrellas and space heaters overlooking some lovely gardens. A man was playing some music and it was a perfect evening. We are sorry we won’t be able to eat there again on this visit because we are going to two wedding dinners off site.

I highly recommend eating at the Veranda at the RB Inn! The food is delicious, the view is gorgeous and Vickie was fantastic.... 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Lunch is always a delightful experience here. Sitting on the patio enjoying the delicious food and the superb service-always attentive but never rushed. Perfect place to bring visiting friends. Although we come mostly for lunch, dinners are also wonderful, regular menu as well as theme nights specials.

Great Patio with a nice view. The food and service was just ok. Drinks were overpriced but the Sangria was delicious. I would go back here for the patio and the view though. It would make a great spot for a sunset/evening dinner and drinks.

Met an old friend for lunch today. We were served by Emily D and she was fantastic. The French Onion soup was very well made as was the BLT that complimented it wonderfully. Alway a good time at RBI

This is a go to standard in Rancho Bernardo. The food is consistently great and the service is excellent. The real plus is the beautiful setting on the golf course. You know you’ll always have an amazing time.

The service at the Veranda Fireside restaurant was great! Jorge did a wonderful job and the food (Veranda cheese burger and bread pudding) was delicious!

From the time we were seated to the table by the host to the time we received our food was over two hours! Manager Madeline was not apologetic and was argumentative about it. A distasteful way to manage the restaurant. Lost our business.

We enjoyed dinner with friends there a few weeks ago and once again we were very impressed with the experience from beginning to end. It's a go-to favorite of ours, as the service is welcoming and attentive, the food and drinks delicious and ambiance just so fabulous. Definitely add this to your list of restaurants to try.

The minute I walk onto the grounds of the Rancho Bernardo Inn I feel transported to another country (Italy) and like I'm on vacation. Such a gorgeous place. The Veranda restaurant is outdoors (with heaters if needed) overlooking the golf course. It's a great spot. Last night I had my fave scallops, and they were delicious. I think I order them every time. Our waitress was excellent, and fun. Just a great evening with 6 of our friends.

You need reservations, even mid-week as a hotel guest. We had some, so great! They have one chicken, one fish and one pasta dish (which was delicious!) The kids menu was really good. It's on the expensive side for what you get and the ambiance, but we were so excited to get to go out too dinner outdoors during covid-19 that I did not mind paying the high prices ($100 for one adult and one child with one app, one coktail and no desserts).

Really nice lunch here today! My boyfriend had the steak wedge salad and I had the crabcake sandwich. Both delicious. Outdoor seating overlooking the golf course. Service was excellent. We always enjoy The Veranda. We'll be back.

This location has a beautiful veranda looking over the golf course. It has an extensive menu. The staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Although I am visiting here, if I lived near by, I would be doing lunch here regularly!

We always liked the Veranda for lunch and made a reservation 2+ weeks in advance and asked for a table along the wall which we always do and we always get. I realize things have changed since the pandemic but when we showed up they would not sit us at the wall because we were only 2 and the tables they had vacant were for 5 even though they did not have reservations for those tables. This never was an issue before and I understand things have changed. BUT 2 tables for 5 remained empty the entire time we were there which was almost 2 hours. The table we had was behind the high shrub wall and only gave us a limited view of the golf course. I guess my husband and I will not be returning until things change if we live that long. By the way lunch was very good but not the view.

Ask for Vickie. The best waitperson I’ve had in years. Super dinner. Great setting. Beautiful view. Loved the lamb pops.

I'll start with the positive, lovely location, especially if the weather allows for dining outside, and a great wait staff, but that's where the compliments will end. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 children. We started by ordering 2 specialty drinks and 2 appetizers. My drink had a horrible chemical taste and nasty artificial fruit aftertaste and I had to send it back. The other specialty drink was also pretty nasty but we didn't send it back, just didn't drink it. The brussel sprouts are probably the best item we ordered, but the guacamole had an overpowering onion taste with no hint of salt or lime. We wouldn't expect the guacamole to be this bad with their location neighboring the avocado capitol of the US. Please get the guacamole right. Its not that difficult. To continue, the hollandaise on the Egg's Benedict had no pop of lemon and was bland and disappointing. The Lobster Bisque had way too strong of an alcohol taste, probably sherry, and overshadowed what should have been a lovely essence of lobster flavor. The chicken on the Ginger Chicken Sandwich was horribly overcooked and thus dry and tough and lacking of any ginger taste. Another sandwich we ordered was the Blackened Swordfish Sandwich and the swordfish was obviously previously frozen, not fresh, and served as a square dried out flavorless patty, but probably the greatest disappointment was the Cavatelli Pasta, which also had to be sent back as the pasta was horribly under cooked and chewy sticky to your teeth tough and overly salted. In fact most of our dishes were grossly over salted. We had also ordered burgers, Cobb Salad and a French Dip which were all edible, but nothing special. In conclusion, the food and drink prices are high but the quality is dismal and highly disappointing, and therefore I feel compelled to write this sad review to thus spare others from a similar disappointment.

I have been to the Veranda restaurant at least 20 times over the years, and it was finally time to give credit where credit is due. First, the location is just gorgeous, and I highly recommend sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the golf course, weather permitting, which it almost always is. The food is fresh and seasonal and I had a wonderful garden salad with chicken and my colleague had the tomato with buratta salad, which was reported to be wonderful as well. Prompt refills on ice tea and water with exceptional service overall. Not to be missed if you are in the area for any meal as we have had breakfast and dinner here as well!

First time visiting! My date and I were greeted right away by Vickie. Great service and extremely helpful. We will be coming back again.

We had lunch at la Veranda facing the golf course. Service was attentive to guests, the poke salad was yummy. Definitely a pretty casual Chic lunch break.

We had a wonderful dinner at the Veranda Restaurant. I would like to acknowledge our hostess Nadia. She went over and beyond to accommodate us. She was so special. The next morning at breakfast she was also amazing. Thank you, Nadia.

Great place to sit and enjoy a mild day. The menu is small but well planned to ensure everyone can find something. Our breakfasts and dinners were very good. Music in the evenings is really nice. Service is unsophisticated or unpolished and a bit too familiar. "Hey guys, isn't that yummy?"

This place was absolutely beautiful. Perfect for our small group if 8. We chose to sit outside, the live music was perfect and so was the weather. Our hostess was Jackie and she was so attentive and very nice. She also made sure every one's glass was full. Our appetizers and food was delicious. We had the lamb lollipops, guacamole and chips. For dinner I had the scallop vegetable risotto. Yummy! Dessert was creme brulee. The stars were out the ambience was exquisite!! When I'm in the area again, I will definatly be back.

I've eaten here three times in the last week. Each time the food was wonderful, the view beautiful and the service great. Tonight we had great service from Vickie. She remembered me from past visits and treated us extremely well. I had the salmon which was very delicious. My friends had the scallops and the filet mignon. They were very impressed by the taste and presentation of the food. Vickie was very accommodating allowing my friend a substitution to her order. The music was lovely and the atmosphere great. I plan on coming back often!

Nice view made for a relaxing late business breakfast. Food was pretty good and so was the service. Liked the option for indoor or outdoor seating

This is such a pleasant restaurant with enchanting atmosphere. The view is spectacular, unparalleled in Rancho Bernardo to watch the sunset. There is Latin guitar being played in front of the roaring fire, and fountains trickling all around. The food is well-priced and not pretentious. The drinks are poured fairly, the wait staff are friendly, and everything about this place feels like the perfect third date spot. Can't wait to try brunch here.

I have been going to the Rancho Bernardo Inn for many years. I love the Veranda Fireside Lounge & Restaurant. The ambience is perfect. You have nice sweeping views, beautifully decorated, great selection of wines and food choices. I usually bring my out-of-town guests to the Inn and everyone falls in love with the Inn. It is fun to sit and relax and visit.

A sign of a good restaurant is one that’s enjoyed not only by guests from far away, but also by those who live nearby. The Veranda is a treasure, with good food, a spectacular setting, and excellent service. We especially enjoy our evenings when Vickie is our server. Her good humor and warm hospitality make us feel like guests at her home. Thank you, Vickie!

We had a great time and enjoyed the views outside and the fireside bar inside--excellent wine, food and service--we'll definitely be back.

The Veranda at the Rancho Bernardo Inn is a hidden gem in this town that many locals frequent . They offer an outdoor patio area with stunning views of the golf course and evening sunsets. Music is offered on the weekends, which is great to just hang out and have a glass of wine . I was here just last night with my best friend, and we had great service from our server Vicky. Great food , quiet atmosphere and amazing service . Thank you RBInn for always being in spot with what you offer .

Our food was not what we expected for the price. The ribeye was not cooked as ordered and was tough even after corrected. Service and ambiance were great though.

Recently, I’ve had the good fortune of dining multiple times at the Veranda restaurant at the Rancho Bernardo Inn. The food and service are always great, the evening atmosphere beautiful and serene, and I want to especially commend their front host, Nadia! Her professionalism and kindness are superb and it’s always a pleasure to see her and have her help us. I strongly recommend Veranda for delicious food and great service, and if you are lucky to meet Nadia, you are in especially good hands! Thank you for several wonderful visits!

We joined Rancho Bernardo Inn Resort membership last year. We love spending time here, golfing and participating in all the social events. Our favorite server is Vickie!!! She knows what we like to drink and eat!!! She is so warm and friendly. We really do call her a friend!!! And we love Aubrey and Jamie, who can’t do enough to make sure we are all happy!

Food was great. Niece had the burger bar. My sister and I had steak. Perfectly cooked. Creme brulee was outstanding! Our server was very helpful and attentive. Great experience!

This Restaurant offered a variety of food in a cozy indoor and outdoor environment. The food is delicious!

We enjoyed dinner on the veranda this evening! Beautiful ambience and delicious food. Our service was excellent by Randy, but the best part was as we left the restaurant I had forgotten my purse. Nadia came running across the parking lot chasing me down to deliver my purse all contents included! I want to thank her personally for her honesty and her top service performance!

We had a wonderful time at dinner watching the sunset with our awesome waitress Christianna, she was the best and so nice and gave us wonderful service. 10/10 would recommend. She just makes your dinner experience amazing with her smile and conversation.

We came for dinner on Taco Tuesday. Make your own tacos and reasonably priced margaritas, but you can order from the menu as well. The live music was excellent. I understand they have live music every night. Can't beat the setting and ambiance on a beautiful patio, with great lighting and comfortable seating around an outdoor fireplace. Vickie, our server, was outstanding! Such a great attitude and wonderful service. Kevin, the outside chef, was as engaging and friendly as can be, and his fresh grilled fish tacos were delicious.

My husband and I decided to grab a quick bite to eat at Veranda. The day was perfect -- breezy, sunny, and quiet -- so we thought sitting outside would be wonderful. Indeed, it was! Our server, Emily D., was a joy. She offered to look into whether the lobster bisque was truly gluten free (it was not), and suggested other gluten free options. She was spot on! She was timely and polite, a real jewel. I am saddened I forgot the names of her assistants who provided tableside service (water, meal delivery), but they were excellent as well. We have never been let down by Veranda, but this was an exceptionally enjoyable trip!

Wonderful lunch!! Netanya the hostess was awesome. Food was great and service was exceptional. Perfect place for brunch or any special event. We will be back!!

The Salmon and Halibut dishes were delicious! The Steak was okay, and the chicken wasn't so good. Our waitress Vicky was attentive, funny and simply wonderful!! We really liked the red wine she recommended and the great ambiance!

Great dinner for our anniversary. The view is beautiful, the food really good and the service we had from Vicky was perfect! I would definitely recommend this place.

Veranda is the perfect spot to relax, listen to music, and enjoy great food. You can't go wrong enjoying a meal there.

Emily was our server today. She was sweet and efficient, both with service and willingness to please us. It was our friend’s 80th birthday, and Emily made it special! Thank you so much

We so enjoyed the view patio and lovely surroundings.great wine selection and appetizers. The fish was so delish and well prepared. We will go again.

I’ve eaten at The Veranda Fireside Lounge many times over the years. I’ve always been more than thrilled with both food and service. It seems as though the menu has changed in the past year and selections aren’t as varied. But what was worse is that most of the food that came out tonight was cold. Our crispy octopus appetizer, the short rib dinner, the filet mignon were all tepid in temperature. The puréed carrots on the short rib dinner plate are served cold which was a real turn off. Even the cooked onions on that plate were cold. My sister’s filet mignon plate came with polenta and she said it was rather flavorless. She would have been much happier with a potato side dish. Our tab for three adults came to $250 tonight. We received two free desserts as an apology for the food being cold but I’m still a bit irked at spending $300 with tip for 3 people and feeling that the food was “meh.” They used to serve an amazing prime rib dinner and we miss that. Maybe their lunch menu is more our style. I will say that our waitress, Vickie, was wonderful. Service was very good. I was treating my sister and her husband for their 50 year anniversary so at least having a nice server made our experience better.

We had the pleasure to dine at The Veranda Restaurant and Fireside Bar last Sunday and what a treat that was. I usually don’t expect to much when dining at a hotel restaurant but the menu was creative and a notch above. The outdoor dinng was beautiful. Truly something for everyone on the menu and the perfect portion sizes. We shared a couple appetizers that were delicious. This chef is spot on with sauces as well as to not “over” sauce anything. Our main entrée's ranged from Lamb Lollipops , Rib Eye Steak and Jumbo Prawn Linguine , all were excellent! Our server was Amanda and service was no less than outstanding, very attentive & friendly. After dinner with listed to some outstanding live music in the outdoor bar area. Such nice ambiance to end a perfect evening. I highly recommend dining here.

I've been coming here for over 40 years, and the decor has finally been updated from 1980 Granny to modern garden, and I love it. The menu's updated, too, but we had the breakfast buffet. Our favorite dishes were the dried fruit, smoked salmon, sausages, and pecan pastry, The scrambled eggs were very dry. Good service, lovely setting.

Always enjoy gathering with friends here for happy hour or dinner. Service is attentive; entertainment is always fun, and food is consistently good.

We enjoyed a lovely evening at Veranda. We were greeted by La Vue, who although they were extremely busy, welcomed us with a smile and seated us promptly. Our server Vicki was an absolute gem.! I could definitely do without the live music who sang every song exactly the same with the same excruciatingly slow tempo and the same three chords.

The Veranda was an amazing experience for a family dinner on Sunday evening. The service was rapid, responsive, and incredibly friendly. We have four children and the order was handled superbly. We had the blessing of having Vickie as our server. She was one of the most incredible servers I have ever had here and our meal was EXCEPTIONALLY enjoyable as a result. We come here often AND it never disappoints. However this time specifically with Vickie she shined like a diamond. As always we will be back at the RB Inn!

Food and service was amazing. Vickie took great care of our table. It made for a wonderful night out with the family.

Beautiful patio area of the Rancho Bernardo Inn. Great views of the golf course. Friendly service. The risotto with the asparagus and peas was so dang good. Just a really nice place.

Emily D.was one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had! Not only was she friendly, but she refilled my water at least 4 times without my asking.

We stayed at the RB Inn for my birthday weekend. We ate at the Veranda Fireside Lounge for dinner and had Vickie as our AMAZING food server! We have been lucky enough to have Vickie before and she is always the best. Tonight my 2 kids and my friends 2 kids were with us and the second they sat down the fun kid, “I’m sitting here, no I’m sitting there” started. Vickie was so good and patient with them and helped all her situated! I joked they needed tape to separate them and all of a sudden she came back with tape😂she even brought them a treat if they were good! Vickie really is the best and I suggest if you go to this restaurant you ask for her!!!

Always feel welcomed by Nadia! Come here once a week with my parents and she totally takes care of them. Service and food are delicious as is the view of the golf course! Parking can be challenging during the week. Overall 5 stars.

Vickie was attentive, funny and entertaining! Service was great considering it was very busy. Thank you for making my birthday memorable

My husband and I had a wonderful brunch this week at Veranda. Our server was Sara and she gave us excellent attention. We felt covid safe with all the necessary precautions taken. Our Belgian waffles were delicious and the view and ambience during our meal was so nice and relaxing. We will definitely return soon!

Had lunch at this beautifully decorated lounge and restaurant during the December Holidays. Ideal place to wonder around the magnificent decorations for the Holidays, topped off by a pleasant meal on the terrace overlooking the Rancho Bernardo Inn golf course. Simply beautiful and relaxing!

Thanks to Vickie, we had a wonderful birthday and engagement celebration at the Veranda. Vickie went above and beyond to make our evening even more special. The service made the meal an experience we will never forget! Definitely will come back to celebrate more occasions in the future.

I always feel so lucky living here. Everyone can sit outside and eat. Now, add to it good food, nice service...that's what you get here.

Great food. Great ambiance. Great service! Vickie was a delight-so kind and attentive. Yummy drinks as well! We’ll be back!

My wife and I had breakfast a dinner here, while staying at our Rancho Bernardo Inn. About a year ago I didn't care for it...but a new menu and what has to be a new kitchen crew, it was delightful. The Cobb salad and Caesar were great and the Burger was equally super...but the Bread pudding and White Cheesecake were both the best desserts we have had...just great. A bit pricey but a rare find!

We often come here on Friday nights for the great food and music. Such a lovely venue and the live music makes for a great “date night.”

My wife and I stayed at the Rancho Bernardo Inn this weekend. We ate at the Veranda Fireside Lounge on the patio on our first night and ended up eating there once each day during our stay! Vickie took great care of us. She's super friendly, knowledgeable and obviously loves her job. She really kicked our experience up a notch. I highly recommend the Spanish Lamb Lollipops. It's on the appetizer menu, and we ordered it that way the first night, but you can order either 2 for $16 or 4 for $24 and that is plenty of food, so we both ordered that as our entree the second night. They are that good. Also, the RBI Bread Pudding is amazing! By far one of the best I've ever had. This place is definitely worth a try. It's a great place with great food, great views (looking over the golf course from the patio), friendly staff and reasonable prices.

My wife and I have been long-time customers of the Veranda. The food is consistently good and the service is normally good as well. The wine list is excellent...and several local beers are served. Hamburgers and quesadillas are unusually good...the quesadillas are not just cheese, but have ample meat too.

Vickie is AMAZING! She is super attentive and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was special. Please treat yourself at the Veranda Restaurant at RB Inn (but you need Vickie).

I've been visiting the Veranda for years, and the food and atmosphere are always great. However, I always hope that Vickie is working when I'm there, because she is an absolute professional and truly elevates the dining experience. She is attentive and really acts like she cares that you have an enjoyable dinner. I have many fond memories of dinner at the Veranda thanks to Vickie.

Besides the good food and comfortable atmosphere at the Veranda, I was extremely pleased by how Lauren, the hostess, accommodated me and my family. Though it was my first time here, we were warmly greeted when we walked in. The hostess, Lauren, allowed us to sit where we pleased. She made some great recommendations for us, and made sure we were enjoying our lunch. The RBI burger was a great choice, and so was the Caesar salad. My brother ordered the fish tacos and loved it. Overall, the Veranda is worthy of a high rating. For the lovely young lady Lauren, I was very happy with the service and care we received. For me, restaurants with attentive and kind staffs make an immediate impression - Alex

This is our fav dining spot at RB Inn. I would love to give kudos to the staff working when we were there but can't find the card with their names. A very nice young lady took care of us on June 24 for snacks and June 25 for breakfast. She and the others working while we dined there took really good care of us. The jumbo shrimp bruschetta was super delicious. The breakfast buffet is more than you could ask for, even able to get custom cooked eggs with it. The salmon/bagel entree was very fresh and tasty. We also went there for Taco/Tequila Tuesday. The options were beef, chicken or pork. All of it was really tasty and the service was excellent. Kudos to RB Inn -- your whole place is amazing!

We dined at the RB Inn many years ago and it was a truly special dining experience. So, my family and I dined here knowing it has been completely changed. This was no longer a special dining experience. The views and sunset and the bread pudding were spectacular. Nice bookends around a mediocre dining experience. Our table was wobbly and uneven, even after the server tried to wedge the table to make it even. The menu was not very memorable but it has something for anyone but vegans. The mojito was pretty good but my sidecar was very sour. The golden pear and arugula salad was enormous but lacked balance (needed something to tame the very acidy vinaigrette). My scallops were tasty but the risotto was rather bland. The lemon chicken was generous but looked pretty dry. The pacific northwest salmon tasted like swordfish and was swimming an a soupy sauce that really didn't enhance he salmon. The filet, however was well prepared but not memorable. The bread pudding is truly amazing but the server forgot to bring spoons and promised to return (never did). When our primary server came to see if we were enjoying the dessert, he recognized the faux pas and fixed the error, but it was a 5-10 minute wait before we could enjoy-it was worth the wait. They have live entertainment, although the singer did not have a good night (nice selection of songs, but was off key all night and off tempo much of the night). The restaurant adds a 4% service charge to offset their desire to provide living wages for its staff. Nice idea, but I prefer the European approach - tax and tip are built into the charges.

Visit this Restaurant regularly, always a pleasure. Very nice patio dinning with great views of the beautiful golf course. Great for groups and family dinning.
Great lunch!
I had lunch at the Veranda today and found it to be a delightful spot with great food. We ate outside and the decor and views of the golf course made it a very relaxing lunch (not to mention the perfect weather!). Special hat-tip to our servers Emily D and Martin, who were both excellent.
