Verbena is a hidden on 6th st with great food and even better setvice! Clara was our bartender, she gave us spot on recommendations and made us custom cocktails that we will definitely be back for!!

We were beyond surprised with Verbena! Friday night..early dinner. We chose to eat @ the bar. Sarah was bartender/server extraordinaire! I love to try different cocktails. Sarah suggested their Prohibition,and it did not disappoint. Our dinner choices were a pallet of colors AND flavor. We shared their one of a kind guacamole. Enjoyed the roasted carrots salad and The Lil Gem Salad..with added roasted chicken! Delish! Could not help ourselves - ordered the flatbread as well. All were so tasty. Ended our meal with a shared dessert and cocktail I sadly do not see on the menu as I write this review. All said a stellar high five to the staff and the vibe of Verbena!

Anthony at Verbena is one of the best bartenders on 6th and makes delicious cocktails! Order the watermelon margarita!

Sarah the bartender was AMAZING!! She is so sweet and kind. I wish more bartenders were like her. I wouldn’t have had the best time here if it wasn’t for her.

Sarah at the verbena in downtown Austin TX is hands down the best service we received in Austin during our WHOLE TRIP! She was extremely sweet, had great communication and just overall welcoming! I’ll be recommending this place for sure

Attended an event at Verbena in the Canopy Hotel on W 6th Street. Nice venue. Cannot comment on the food/beverage at Verbena, we did not partake of the menu. The event was a wine/food pairing thing, and the little bits we tasted were good. The staff did a good job with service. Good vibe to the place. Good for a private event.

Had a great experience with Anthony behind the bar at Verbena for happy hour. He was working solo and the bar was fairly full but everyone had full drinks and he had time and a smile for everyone. Drinks were cold, food was tasty, service and convo were great. Highly recommend!

After a long day in the sun I was greeted by Martin at the bar. I asked for a refreshing drink with cucumber and Martin delivered. It was just the right drink to unwind. The staff and the vibe of the restaurant is very welcoming. There's a glass wall composed of empty bottles that is mesmerizing to look at. Just outside the windows is a nice view of the Frost Bank Tower at night.

We highly recommend this restaurant. The food was amazing, the ambiance was cozy, and the service provided by Alicia was outstanding!

Analicia was amazing. Such great service! Would love to have her again. Recommended the best things on the menu and will definitely be coming back!

My friend was getting to know 6th Street for the first time, so I decided to take her to eat at the best-located Verbena restaurant, where we tasted a huge plate of oysters followed by the tasting of their new dish for the winter menu, we both had the best time, Without forgetting the service they gave us was excellent from the servers to the sous chef, all of whom were very attentive to us.

Jeremiah took great care of us! He recommended the chicken mole hash and it rocked. Verbena is an amazing spot!

Great ambience while sitting at the bar with buddies. Sara was super friendly and when I forgot my wallet that night, she helped return it to me the next day. Nothing worse than lost wallets, so thanks for your help!!

Kiannah was hands down the best bartender we had ALL day. (We had been to 3 other bars that day) She was super great and attentive, AND she even changed the station to the game we wanted to watch. We had a great time!!

This experience has been immaculate. The staff has given some of the most friendly and attentive service I have ever had, the food and drinks were outstanding. The service was on top of everything, Alicia, Kat, Joshua, Robert, Matthew, and Rajiv worked together very well from the morning breakfast shift to the dinner shift (thank you all very much). The general manager also made the experience unforgettable. This is one of my most favorite spots to eat in Austin. The aesthetic is warm and vibrant at the same time, upscale and welcoming. I would absolutely recommend visiting this place while you’re in Austin.

I was served by Martìn at the bar and he was amazing. I'm on a solo trip to Austin and he gave me some recommendations for places I should check out. He was friendly and the drink he made tasted great. I love that verbena has a pretty large selection of local liquors and they use those in their drinks. I would definitely come back here if I was looking for an upscale meal and a modern vibe.

We were staying at the hotel connected to Verbena so we tried it out. We sat in the GORGEOUS courtyard by the fire and enjoyed excellent service and fabulous food. Along with a couple bottles of vino! Was a perfect evening we really needed some relaxation after our long journey here. Highly recommend you try this place.

We popped into Verbena for a quick drink at Happy Hour. Jyl was our marvelous bartender. She made a great cocktail and steered us toward what we might like after discussing our preferences. We stayed long enough to share a few laughs and family stories. She seemed to really enjoy our conversation and made our time there memorable.

Superior appetizers and main course. Amazing flavors. The tartar and the octopus appetizers were out of this world and deserving a five stars. The only reason I gave a four star is the tee leche dessert: it was just ok. It was more like a pound cake with icing. The margaritas were absolutely delicious.

After a long hectic day of delayed flights, I stopped by verbena and truly had the best experience!! Clara was so sweet and helpful, I ended up canceling my dinner reservations and stuck around verbena for dinner. The chicken and cous cous was to die for!

Five of us went to dinner and all had a variety of drinks and entrees; everything was excellent. We got there early so we could get to a concert and Moody Center but still allow enought time to enjoy our meal. The menu does not have a lot of choices but what they do have is varied and delicious. We had martinis, tequilla, and wine with appetizers of cer vece (spelling may be wrong) and Striped Bass Crudo. Both were delicious and served all five of us. For Entrees we had the Roasted Wild Salmon, Hariss Lacquered Chicken, and Strozzapreti, a pasta with Shrimp dish. Service was excellent. Before we we finished the place had begun to fill up. I highly recommend Vernena in downtown Austin.

Visited the Verdana and Amber was our server. Amazing service. No complaints at all. She was very knowledgeable and helped with our menu selection. Will definitely be going back.

A few friends and I came in for brunch on Saturday, and we had a wonderful time. The food is amazing and the service was on point. Lexi was very attentive and friendly.

The food is absolutely amazing! Go to drink is the Watermelon Sugar. It is a must have during their happy hour!!

The bartender was terrible. Went in for a late night meal with a colleague, asked if he would change the channel on the TV from shootings on CNN to the Dallas Mavericks playoff game and he said “let me take care of my guests first and if I have time, I’ll do it”. I consider myself a guest at the establishment and there were six other people at the bar. Terrible experience

Had dinner Friday night with a wonderful pumpkin spice martini & Anthony was marvelous. A great place for a cocktail.

Such a cute casual spot, decent crowd but it still felt very intimate. Anthony was helping us and he had the best drink recommendations, we went with the pumpkin spiced espresso martini and it lived up to the hype. We didn’t end up getting food but it all looked and smelled amazing. Will definitely be back!

Sarah was a complete joy. I forgot my drink and humor and she found them. The burger was great. Special sauce was fantastic.

Room was clean. Bathroom was a good size and bed and pillows were very comfortable. Was quiet as well. Good location to walk to restaurants/bars. Had to valet park which was $49/day because there is no other option unless you want to plug a meter all day and night. Wasn’t too happy with that. The restaurant was good. We waited an hour to get our food once we ordered it. There were only about 15 other people in the restaurant. However, we were really pleased that a manager approached us saying he noticed how long we waited and was going to comp our food. That was a great surprise since we didn’t even complain. We were getting restless about it and kept looking up towards the kitchen so maybe they noticed that. Great service handling that scenario. One unpleasant thing that occurred was the next morning when the front desk clerk walked us to the restaurant for breakfast. You could smell extremely strong BO as soon as you got within a few feet from him. He was a large man wearing a suit. It smelled like he hadn’t bathed in days. That was unappealing for sure. You can’t tell me a manager or other co-workers didn’t notice. Hopefully someone addressed it with him.

Restaurant is inside the Canopy by Hilton Austin Downtown. We went for Coffees and Breakfast. Food was delicious, staff was very nice, service was fast.

Anthony could not have been better with his amazing customer service. The drinks, food, and amazing smile show just how much he loves to serve. What a gentle spirit he has. Thank you Anthony for making each morning something exciting to wake up to!

Came in for a welcome drink to kickstart my girls trip. Martin was so informative of the local scene, gave me great recommendations. Super nice and the drinks were delicious!! Get your drinks from Martin!!

This place rocks. I’ve been to many great restaurants and eateries but never have I been greeted (with a large party, no less) with sparkling wine and desserts to help us celebrate our joint birthday parties! Our night was enhanced by the graciousness, kindness and patience of Analicia, who took great care of us and made great suggestions. We all loved our meals. Everything was fabulous and they make a great dirty martini also. Try the grilled shrimp and the berry salad. You won’t be disappointed!

Completely agree with recent reviews about very slow service. Our reservation was for 7pm. They asked us to wait about 15 minutes to help stagger with some large party that had arrived just before us. No problem. But then it took over an hour for our first (of two) appetizers to arrive. None of the servers acknowledged that it was a long wait, and one server was visibly annoyed that we were annoyed. I understand it may be a problem in the kitchen, not with the server staff, but they are the customer-face of the problem. That said, the outdoor setting is lovely and the food was very good.

Verbena (at the Canopy hotel) is a gem situated between west end and downtown. Surprisingly good food and a nice wine selection. But the service is what makes it!! Martin and the whole staff take great care of their customers. It's easy to miss but don't miss it!! It's a quiet oasis amidst that active nigh-life nearby but good for all hours of the day. The interior patio is perfect for chilling out with a cold glass of wine.

Amazing place, fantastic service, and delicious food. Especial thanks to Analicia, she is so kind and attentive. The bar is so nice and for dinner I love the table next to the kitchen. Absolutely love our dinner.

Sarah was our bartender and we enjoyed her company. Compared to a lot of bartenders that I come across, she was personable and still made awesome cocktails at the same time. Sometimes it’s hard to find both that can do that. Love this place! I will definitely come back again, and I will recommend it to the out of towners that come in to Austin.

Wish i could rate this place better!!! Came for a friends birthday, slow slow service, I mean waiting an hour to get our app (not exaggerated, ordered at 8:30, app came at 9:45pm) nice location and ambiance but ridiculous for the service they provide and the prices. A place to say you’ve been but not a place you’d come back

Had a great experience working after-hours over a couple of drinks. Atmosphere, lighting and decor were all immaculate for a nice, quiet work space and would offer a romantic venue & feel as well. As appealing as the cocktail menu was, which will definitely have me coming back, I got to enjoy some Johnny Walker for a promo night they were having. The bartender, Sarah, took great care of me and offered immaculate service. She was attentive and made for great conversation as I sipped and worked. Will definitely be returning in the near future.

Wonderful brunch experience, this was our second visit. Breakfast was delicious, service attentive. Bloody Mary perfectly prepared. We love the ambiance at this restaurant, airy and modern charm. The manager, Craig Judy was welcoming and attentive, we enjoyed meeting him and appreciated our conversation. He was a great ambassador for Verbena. We will return soon

We compared a few places before deciding on Verbena for brunch. The decor is updated, cozy with a minimalist feel. The service was very good from our greeting by the bartender when the hostess was helping others, to our server Brady being super gracious in responding to our requests. The food was very good - I went with his recommendation for an egg, salad and raclette dish, and my hubs really liked the waygu burger. Best was we both wanted to try the ricotta pancakes, so they do have the pancake as a single on the side - it was super delish. Def try if you are a pancake person. Got a great spicy Bloody Mary too.

We always enjoy Verbena’s food, and today we’re in for brunch. Jeremiah guided me to the Mole Coloradito in the menu, and it was sublime. Phenomenal food, impeccable service. Well done.

The ambiance and the service were both excellent. The food was decent but not the level I was expecting. Nothing we got was extremely memorable.

Oysters were delicious and Jeremiah was a great bartender! He made a fantastic custom mocktail. Big fan!

Had a snack and drinks at the Verbena bar and everything was amazing! Cocktails were on point, (I definitely recommend the Juicy Lucy,) facilities were clean, and Sarah the bartender was on her game and gave phenomenal service. Can’t reccomend enough!

We had a great time lounging in the bar area which has very nice seating. The cocktails were delicious and the service was great.

We weren't staying at the hotel, but the menu looked good so we gave it a shot. 11am on a Sunday, what should have been peak brunch hours, they had 1 server on duty and the restaurant was 2/3 empty. After we sat for 15 minutes with no menu or even recognition that we were present, I caught the waitress as she went by ("I'm the only one here I'll be right with you"). 10 minutes later, the bartender came out and brought menus. 10 minutes after that, I went back to the bar to explain we still weren't getting served. Finally another person came to take our order. The original server completely ignored us the whole time. We both ordered the chicken mole hash, which is why we came. Oddly I had to order tortillas separately, they didn't come with the meal. The chicken mole hash was tasty. Mushy. Spicy. I'd call it Mexican comfort food. The two of us were given 3 stale corn tortillas to share, which from both a quality and quantity standpoint was shameful. No one around to bring more, even if we wanted. The bill for 2 people, plus coffee and tip was nearly $70. On the whole, I was very disappointed and will not be back.
