For the first time of all the times I have been either dinning in or ordering food to go at Versailles, this is the first time I was disappointed. I ordered ground beef and it was tasteless, really bad. Nonetheless, as I have so many good prior experiences here, I will try it again sometime. Usually portions are good, and priced according the very good taste and good service

It was crowded but there's parking. We ordered the famous cutter, a candy and a tortilla. It was all mto delicious, good service

Good location and service parking , the food is good without being outstanding, nice place, prices if above for the product

At the MIA E terminal gate Versailles, ordered a sandwich with no cheese due to medical condition. They gave a sandwich with cheese cooked into the bread. I told the lady I can’t eat cheese. She stated it didn’t have cheese. I opened up the sandwich and showed her the cheese, and I explained I can’t eat cheese at all. She then took the sandwich and started plucking the cooked in cheese out of the bread and handed it back to me. I then explained that I can’t have any cheese or contact with cheese in my food again. She got pretty irate and made a new sandwich after skimping on the other items. Very disappointing getting service that doesn’t take food allergies into consideration.

Fried chicken and Cuban specialties at fast food prices, but be prepared in a big line, reservations are not accepted

Everything was delicious 😋 We had four Pan de Bono, 2 croquetas de jamon, three empanadas de Pollo and a juice USD25. Amazing.

We had an amazing family dinner at Versailles Restaurant. The ambiance was lively yet cozy, with tasteful décor and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, guiding me through their authentic Cuban offerings. The prices were very reasonable considering the high quality of the food. Each dish we tried was a culinary delight, showcasing fresh ingredients and exquisite flavors. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience that I would highly recommend to anyone.

On our last day in Miami, we decided to eat at Versailles. I was super excited because I'd heard that people like Obama, Clinton, and Biden had visited this spot, so I thought it had to be good. Unfortunately, it wasn't. Maybe it was just what I ordered, but I was really disappointed. I chose something simple: a Cuban sandwich, fries, and green plantains. Everything was bad! The Cuban sandwich was dry, and the bread was hard. The plantains seemed stale, like they had been made days ago. Even the fries were stale—who messes up fries? Well, this place did. Despite its good reputation, the food didn't live up to it. I asked to have the fries removed from the bill, and they were. The waiter was pleasant but seemed in a hurry to leave our table. The restaurant is big and busy, but I didn't feel valued at all. Would I try this place again? I doubt it. There are too many other places in Miami that don't have the same reputation but are way better than this. Overall, it was a horrible experience.

Huge restaurant with huge food selection, very nice staff but unfortunately the food was very, very disappointing in quality and taste. Couldn't eat anything, just wanted to leave quickly. It wasn't expensive but for what was offered it was already too much. Sorry. But I wish I'd read such an honest review beforehand, then we'd have saved the time.

Quite disappointed tbh. Nothing special; service was fair but not great. I had a Calle Ocho Special sandwich, the bacon was almost inexistent it was a joke. It comes with french fries, I asked to change with another side I was told I could not when it’s just fries…coming with a sandwich so clearly it is possible, they just didn’t want to. The fries were not even good or fresh they look the same as at McDonalds. Plantains were okay but I’ve had better they were not even hot. The only great thing was the cafe cubano.

Omg seafood casserole with roscongreese and plantain to die for with a Pina Colada Mocktaik. Amazing flavour and good prices. We ordered one dish and shared it between us. This place had a que at 3pm but they have seated area for us to wait in. Mark Wein has been here that’s why we came to eat and we feel for next 3 days this is where we will eat now. Deffo recommend it. It’s run by a Cuban family nice decor great service oh lush

Famous Cuban restaurant in Miami, little Havana. We went without reservation and were able to sit down without problem. It has parking right next to the restaurant. When we arrived the restaurant was full. We order Cuban food among which: old clothes, rice, croquettes. I didn't particularly like the food. The meat was delicious, but the rice was hard and neither did the vegetables finish me liking it. I'd say a restaurant in the middle. Good price

Very disappointing experience, especially given Versailles’ reputation. The Cuban sandwich was poorly executed: dry, thick bread that wasn’t properly pressed or toasted, clearly low-quality ingredients, minimal pork and ham, and far fewer pickles than expected. Worst of all, the meat smelled old and was clearly not fresh. When this was raised, the manager (Joey) insisted everything was fine and “normally served this way,” rather than offering a replacement or addressing the issue. Our server Leo was polite and attentive, but good service cannot compensate for poor food quality and unacceptable management response.

Excellent food!!!!, first time visiting this restaurant, but I heard about it from my family who lives there, I live in Canada, and I was longing to eat Cuban food... the ropavieja, the rice, fried ripe plantains were wonderful. .. even my husband ate Cuban food, excellent, the service was great... when I return to Miami, I will eat there again, CONGRATULATIONS TEAM!!!!! I RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT 100%.... IT IS LIKE THE HEART OF CUBA IN THE USA......

Twice they missed me. The first time they rectified it, it was 10 usd in my favor. In the second case, they gave me 5 USD less and despite my claim, even the administrator could not give me a solution. The waitress politely told me here are cameras if you want to check her so I agreed to it, however, then I was told they didn't work. Abysmal attention and these attitudes make me think that it is a systematic action to turn around taking advantage of foreigners.

This place is HUGE!!! Fast service, great selection and decent portion sizes, all super affordable. We would definitely come back!!!

Versailles has amazing food and huge portions for a great price! We got an appetizer, two meals, and Cuban coffee for $35. The restaurant is beautiful and staff is dressed professionally. We will be back!!

This is a classic old school Cuban restaurant in Little Havana. It is very popular so it is best to go during off hours (try having lunch at 3pm, for example). It seems to be open and pretty busy all of the time though. The food is good, hearty, delicious, and not expensive. The tropical ceviche is great--as is pretty much everything! The juices are excellent (and only about $3 in a city where juices that are not as good often cost $10 or more). Versailles also has a wonderful bakery, a fun outside walk-up coffee bar area, and Versailles espresso merch--and a Versailles cookbook! And a separate bakery! And free parking! Make sure you check out this fun restaurant when in Miami! Also Miami can be so expensive but here you feel like you are getting your money's worth in a kind of old-fashioned wonderful restaurant. Recommended for the whole family!

newly NEW Dinner On Saturday night my husband and I, who are used to visiting Versailles, were served by Liset, her service was super spectacular, attentive, friendly, attentive to every detail, the food was excellent, we hope to be served by her again! …Further

Excellent service and food! The waiters are very friendly and guide you on what not to miss to eat. The Cuban coffee delicious and somewhat strong.

Came in her for dinner and drinks. Had a very good meal with a friendly waiter and staff. There was a long wait for a table but you can sit outside and order drinks while waiting. Prices were very good (except for the drinks which were a bit expensive). Overall a good meal but much better Cuban restaurants in Miami. It is famous so worth checking out once.

Renowned place, and its dishes and drinks honor it. I highly recommend all the pastries especially the Cubans and definitely all the coffees of the place

This place is not what it’s hyped up to be. It may even be a tourist trap as I can’t imagine many Miamians dining there. I’ve had better (more flavorful) Cuban food in Miami with bigger portions at better prices. Upon arrival, the restaurant is large with old fashioned floor tiles but the ambiance of cheap plastic-top tables without tablecloths and low ceilings feels more like a large cafeteria with annoying unsupervised young children running around and some diners on their speaker phone. The food was disappointing; Ropa Vieja was not very good; It was mainly peppers in tomato sauce with very little meat in a kid-size portion. For the sides - two petite slices of plantains with a small portion of white rice (no black beans which cost extra and tasted flavorless). We also ordered Cordon Bleu which was just okay but again small portion and the yellow rice was awful. We thought the bakery goods would bring relief but of three desserts we tried; dried inedible custard pastry, cream pastry, and cannoli (made with cream cheese dip ugh!), we threw most of it away. The building may be worth a one-time visit but the food needs major improvement.

Really don't know what the hype is about. Came here for lunch with family. I live in Miami and had not been here in years. Food was average. have had better at other Cuban restaurants. The service was very poor. our serve did not pass by to see if we needed anything or check if everything was all right. Did not refill our glasses of water unless asked. Once we were done and paid our bill, we stayed at the table talking for a few minutes. Our server passed by and told us that if we wanted to continue talking, we could go outside. We all found this very rude. There were plenty of empty tables in the restaurant, it wasn't as if they needed the table. I probably won't be back for a few years.

Stop for coffee at this well-known Calle Ocho. Cuban coffee to try as well as other specialties. Friendly staff!

Versailles' food is nutty. Brutal. The atmosphere is endearing the incredible tastes. I'll be back as many times as I can.

Don’t bother wasting your time. The food is just ok and the workers are unpleasant if not downright rude. Just moved to Miami and will never go here again.

We stopped here to get a slice of their famous key lime pie- it did not disappoint. I can’t judge their regular menu- but if it’s anything like the bakery, it will be amazing.

The atmosphere, the vibe and the food will bring you in the center of Havana. I tried the bbq pork rack and their famous Cuban sandwich. Everything was tasty and delicious. Obviously I couldn't skip the dessert and I got their version of catalan creme, unbelievably great.

MichelinMichelin. Is awesome . I didn't know that this cheap restaurant had a Michelin but their Platano soup by SI Sola deserves a Michelin.

It was a wonderful experience and would recommend it for solo and family traveling. Food was good, not great but atmosphere made up for it

Dining at this Cuban restaurant was a fantastic experience. The moment I walked in, the lively atmosphere and vibrant décor transported me straight to Havana. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. I started with a refreshing mojito, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of mint and lime. The menu was full of authentic Cuban dishes, and I decided to try the ropa vieja. It was absolutely delicious, with tender shredded beef simmered in a rich, flavorful tomato sauce. The sides of black beans and rice, along with sweet plantains, complemented the main dish perfectly. For dessert, the flan was a creamy, sweet treat that ended the meal on a high note. The live Cuban music added to the ambiance, making the evening even more enjoyable. I can't wait to return and try more dishes from their impressive menu.

Miami Perfection A long awaited visit here was fully justified with a roaringly good lunch, appreciated by the whole party. Cuban sandwiches and pork stews were wolfed down, whilst one of the group, Daren (silly spelling I know) admitted the fries were the best he’d ever had. So much so that when we went to the airport later he had to go for round 2 at one of the Versailles take-outs there! We can’t wait to visit again

I Love Versailles food. I’m a customer for 40 years. The imperial rice, ropa vieja, roast pork, crema de malanga and cortadito with evaporated milk fantastic. You have to try it, I recommend it. Hope you all have a great day! Maggie

Food was delicious! We had yuka fries & beef empanadas for appetizers! Unfortunately our meals came out 2 minutes after our apps. I hate when restaurants do this ! Shame on them Our meals was a Cuban sandwich & Cuban pot roast !it was delicious too! Our waiter Miguel /mihahl Who knows what his name is? It was Miguel on our receipt ! He was the worst ever waiter in my life! He never paid attention to us ! He never asked how our food is ? He never asked for refills of water ? But he catered & paid attention to the tables on the left & right of us ! Ofcourse they were Cuban ! He bought a pitcher of water to refill there water ,I looked at him and he walked away! We told the manger !thats it and don’t have this waiter

Best Cuban coffee , the coffee was so smooth and delicious. We had just eaten dinner and were too full for pastries, but they looked amazing.

Service was excellent. Meals were served quickly. Atmosphere was pleasant and comfortable. We had Ropa vieja, Pollo empanizado, Samon, Moros, Maduros, Croquetas & Elena Ruz sandwich. Everything tasted delicious. I would definitely come back again.

A very large restaurant, where you can enjoy Cuban cuisine. We ate very well, recommending the ropavieja, the fried yucca, the suckling pig, the pulpería, fried cow or the guava hulls. The Cuban coffee and the Cortadito, excellent unlike the American one, in the Spanish style, short and strong. Friendly and correct service.

Scheduled a Cruise out of Miami for us to Get Away & Relax we did just that in our transportation to Versailles. Since Carnival would not let me bring the Vette-Jet, we had to get some type of transportation to get around Miami. I was hoping to see James Crockett and borrow his Ferrari Daytona Spyder but I think he moved to San Francisco, changed his name to Nash Bridges and is driving a bright Yellow Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda' (that would also do just fine) - So, with the help from Karen (front desk of our Hotel) I scheduled a Driver to pick us up in a Mercedes and we Relaxed all the way to Versailles - nothing but Class for my Baby. When at the Restaurant, we checked in with the Hostess, who happens to be set up outside by the Front Door with a lot of people all around the patio. Name is on the list and our wait time is only a few minutes. Versailles not only has this Awesome Restaurant, but on the Open Patio they also have a Very Nice Outside Bar - and they also have a Walk-Up Coffee Window where you can obtain their Famous 'Cuban Cafecito', a small shot of Coffee with a sweet, luscious topping called 'la crema' - and that's not all - they also have ''Versailles Bakery" where they sell Pastries, Breads & Desserts made from scratch - and if that isn't enough, they also have "Cafe Versailles" located in Concourse 'D' at Miami International Airport. The Restaurant is open from 8am until Midnight and on Fri & Sat until 1am. This place is Very Popular. Soon our name was called and we where shown to our table. Versailles is Huge inside and our table is in the front part of the restaurant. Upon seating we were handed Menus to look over and soon Liset, our Server, came over. Placed out drink order - "Mojitos" - because when in Miami you order Mojitos. We were looking over the Menus when Lisa brought out our drinks and also waters. There is a lot on the Menu here and it's hard trying to decide - but we did. My Wife is having the "Versailles Salad"; with Chicken Breast, mixed Field Greens with Mango, Candied Pecans & Goat Cheese tossed in a Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette. I am going with their "Imperial Rice"; Rice cooked with Saffron & Deboned Chicken, Mayonnaise, Roasted Red Bell Peppers, Hard Boiled Egg & Green Peas. Served with Sweet Plantains - topped off with Swiss Cheese. While we waited for our food one does a little 'people watching', especially in a city you haven't been to in a while. In, San Angelo you see a lot of Cowboy Hats but none here in Miami. We toasted to 'us' and the Mojitos is the right choice - Very Tasty and Strong on the Mint - and I might ad, Versailles serves Beautiful Mojitos - and it's really good. Soon our food arrived and both plates are a Beautiful Presentation of Deliciousness. My Wife's 'Versailles Salad' has the Chicken Breast all spread out across the top of the Salad - and it's Huge. It looks like it could be a 'Chicken Steak' - and she said it was Tender-Licious and very Flavorful. The Fresh Greens are Delicious and the Candied Pecans are Crunchy-Sweet with the Goat Cheese the only way to go on this Salad. She enjoyed it all. I wanted to try something different and this 'Imperial Rice' is just that. The Swiss Cheese on top is like a Thick Blanket, and I mean THICK - it's Swisslylicious and Very Unique. The Rice is flavorful with all the nice size Deboned Chicken throughout. Their Sweet Plantains are the Best in Miami, even though I have not tried every place in Miami that serves them, but I cannot fathom any place that would be better than this. We finished it all and had no room for Dessert - and I know it would of been Delicious. Liset earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award for all that she did - and this place was Really Busy. Right when someone leaves their table, a staff member cleans it up, resets it and the next Customer is shown to their table. Nicely organized. The back room is more for larger groups and we didn't go back there this time - but it's Beautiful - and I know is packed with Happy Customers. My Wife and I had a nice ride back to the Hotel and slept very well in our room - which was Huge. When you are in Miami, Versailles Restaurant is the place to eat at - Check'em out on-line. We enjoyed our Cruise and also the traveling to and from - it was all Very Relaxing Time with my Baby. Love You Bunches & VersaillesMunches.

I disagree with the price increase of meals, they have raised them more exaggerated with the suggested tips, this is a theft for the customer who orders the food and I just go and pick it up, also a bad service do not put utensils, do not put napkins, and the very rude staff, I am crazy to pass the law of not tipping, I am senior citizens order the special of the week to save me and it came out in two meals $ 28.00 I don't know. Manager the clientele will leave because we the clients will not pay the salary to your staff try to reduce the staff, also you will see what will not be more lines to go to eat.

Full food, fair price, excellent service. We ate lobster, divine. Casual and very traditional restaurant. The ham croquettes are amazing.

Very nice restaurant, authentic. The waitress was great, the food is quality and has a very attractive price. I recommend this restaurant

First time eating Cuban food friends recommended and wow this place was amazing will be back just moved to Miami and found my new favorite restaurant .

Wow. What an experience. Went around 4pm on a Thursday and it was nearly full. The food was lovely and very reasonably priced. Our server had good knowledge of gluten allergies. The Cuban Sandwich was amazing.

Food is good, typical and the atmosphere dates back to 70’s. The service was terrible, the waiter Jose treated us very rudely and impolitely.

Huge menu made it easy for everyone in the group to find something to their liking. The sampler platter was perfect for someone new to Cuban cuisine. The mojitos were delicious as were the plantain chip appetizer and the croquettes. The business of the place gave it great energy. Even though it was busy and is big, it wasn't noisy so we were able to conduct our business lunch easily. We stopped at the bakery on our way out to get some treats to go. What a great meal, atmosphere and overall experience.

A friend took me here during a 24 hour stop over in Miami and I loved it! Opening its doors all the way back in 1971, this is perhaps the most famous Cuban restaurant in the world. There is a restaurant, bakery and the first ventanita in Miami (this would be a coffee window to the average Joe). We went on a Friday afternoon and the whole place was packed. We had a short wait to get a table and then we were neck deep in authentic little Havana culture. Families, friends and folks from all walks of life sharing food and having fun. We had white bean soup to start, followed by chicken & steak - obviously with rice & beans. As culinary contributions to the worlds cuisine, this is a pretty poor effort. But, as a tourist, you don’t come here for the food - unless it’s a Cuban sandwich that’s pretty good. You come here for a slice of history & you get that by the truck load. If you like eating in history, eat here. You’ll be telling your friends about it for years.

We visited the restaurant as it is famous for its Cuban cuisine. The 1/2 hour wait was pleasant to spend in the garden where it had a bar. The ambience of the restaurant reminded me of a canteen, rather loveless. It was very cold (aircondition was fierce). The service was nice and friendly. The food came quickly. The portions are extremely large; unfortunately we had to leave food behind. The Cuban sandwich was still good-but not a revelation. Generally, the food was good, but a bit unlovely and qualitatively rather less good. It was very inexpensive for that.

I thought something’s were too salty but overall very good!. It was crowded so we ordered it to go but then found a spot to eat between the restaurant and bakery. Very friendly staff. The yucca root is excellent! The salmon is, too! The bag of Cuban espresso package makes a great gift and tastes great.

A restaurant worth the experience, “pleasant” prices. They don't reserve tables but the turnover is quick and you can always have a drink while you wait.

Fixed stop every time I go to Miami, it is located in the Cuban area of Calle ocho. In my opinion it is the best restaurant in terms of quality and price. Very wide choice, excellent quality fish as well as cocktails and desserts that are their specialty that you can also buy in the pastry shop next door.

All the guide books and searches suggest this is the place to go in Little Havana - it’s iconic and an institution they say. So we went - it’s a very tired looking restaurant with plastic tables and looks like a canteen. It may have great in 1978 but it ain’t anymore - sorry. It’s living on its reputation and business from suckers like us who believe the guidebooks. Service was ok - although the food is delivered at rapid pace. The food was ok - best thing about the place but a dining experience this is not! Oh and it was cheap - so it has that. If you want to tick off a Miami experience then go along, but if you want a meal in nice surroundings then go somewhere else.

Can’t say you really visited Miami if you haven’t been to Versailles Cuban restaurant. Sure there’s a wait but on a nice night it’s fun to sit outside and have a mojito or piña colada. Fantastic paella, superb maduros, great service. The prices are amazing as well.

The food was excellent! The restaurant had a great atmosphere. Our only complaint was not having more time to try other dishes! The bakery also had fantastic desserts.

Best Cuban restaurant in Miami, with several options, the coffee is also excellent. Get there early, the lines are long.

We went for lunch. Authentic Cuban food in Little Havanna that has played host to several presidents. The food is genuine and hard to find anywhere else. Drinks are exceptional . Mojitos and Margaritas were the best I've had anywhere. Appetizers were genuine and good and the desserts? FANTASTIC.

It has a wide selection of menus, we’ve ordered a lot and we’ve been pleased with it all. It’s nice to have a seafood meal in Miami. Good service. The ambience is beautiful.

Was in Miami the night before leaving on a cruise so needed to find a place for dinner. They were very busy and had a 40 minute wait but has a courtyard with some seating to wait. When table was ready, went inside-was never greeted by hostess, was just shown our table and nothing was said. Took awhile before server came-still never greeted or asked if we had been there before or had any questions. It felt like if you don’t speak Spanish, you’re on your own!! We wanted to try authentic Cuban foods so ordered an appetizer and entrees(went to their bakery after eating and took dessert home). Food was very good tasting(didn’t like it all but that’s a personal preference)! The restaurants name and inside decor doesn’t match with what I think of Cuban. Staff made us feel like we didn’t matter(no customer service) and if you don’t speak Spanish, you’re definitely an outsider. It was an interesting experience and would go back for the food only, not how they treat you.

Referred by a local - enjoyed the Cuban sandwich, tamale and mojito! Dessert was the best! The creme brûlée with pound cake and caramel cheesecake! Great family atmosphere. Lots of free parking!

We had a long layover at MIA airport so I decided on visiting this popular gem for some coffee and pastries. It has been more than a decade since I was last here. They open late for morning coffee and it wasn't busy. I ordered a couple of coffees plus an empanada and we enjoyed our treats at one of the many outdoor seating tables.

Large restaurant pat the size, simple setting, frequented by locals and tourists. Cuban cuisine, you can eat dishes, typical sandwiches, ... Our dishes were appetizing.

Every time I come to this restaurant they make me feel bad, when I arrive I give my name to the doorman and I wait after 5 minutes they call me and I enter along with a group of people. Once inside I occupy a table that I liked after placing my order he comes to My, a woman without showing up to tell me who was at that table, tried to control me and this elderly lady ordered the waitress to delete my order and had the audacity to address me again to tell me that there was a line of people outside. waiting to come in, that's why I told him... I was also in line and I gave my name and waited for the doorman to call me and come in and occupy this table. In any restaurant when I go I sit where I feel most comfortable, because many times they give me a table that I don't like. The waitress came again to confirm my order. I ordered spaghetti for my daughter that I saw on the children's menu and it is the only thing she eats with a portion of chips and chocolate shake, the chips arrive along with the bad news that the spaghetti is out, like in Miami the spaghetti is going to finish! In a restaurant in Miami, since the spaghetti is going to run out, I had the option of ordering breaded chicken or fish and this chicken was so dry that it looked like a stone. My table did not have salt and I called the waitress to put the salt for me. my salad and finally I ask for a Cortadito and they bring me a coffee in syrup, I had to call her to change my coffee, I asked for a Cortadito not a cane guarapo!! I don't come to this restaurant anymore, but there is still more, they charge me for a portion of French fries separately because I had ordered spaghetti but since the spaghetti ran out and I order the breaded chicken on Niño's menu that comes with their French fries, they bring me the chicken without chips and at the time of paying they charge me for the chips, if the spaghetti ran out they shouldn't have charged me for the chips because the breaded chicken comes with chips, this was robbery and rude.

It is a magical place, the facilities are beautiful, very well maintained. The 3-course menu is incredible and the waiters' attention is very warm. I would return there without hesitation. In addition to perfect functional music that accompanies the tasting of the delicious dishes.

The food was lovely and the staff were really nice. I would definitely come back if I went back to Miami. The place was full of locals and it has parking available.

As a special present I was sent a box of DIY Cuban sandwich makings, nicely packed on ice blocks. There was a generous amount of meat and cheese for 4 sandwiches. The pickles and mustard were minimal....but ... However the bread/rolls were absolutely horrible. When the box arrived (fast, ice still hard) the rolls were already dry and hard. I ate one the first night; it was like rock-hard Wonder bread, and even plastic-wrapped, they were seriously hard as rocks. Anyone who thinks this is "authentic" Cuban cuisine has never had the real thing, even in a good US restaurant. VERY disappointing and I cannot imagine why this place has even a decent reputation.

A great restaurant in Little Havana. Fast and friendly service. Delicious food and very affordable prices. We recommend the empanadas, the midnight sandwich and the Cortadito.

Food here is awesome. Roast pork with rice and beans, amazing. The service is great. No matter how crowded it is, you get in fairly quickly and the service is friendly. We also go for breakfast, where you can get fresh squeezed orange juice, warm pastelitos, and your choice of amazing cuban coffee.

WENT TO THE BAKERY MIDDAY. TABLES WERE DIRTY AND STICKY. MANAGER THAT DAY WAS A SHORT HAIRED BLONDE LADY TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS TO REGULAR CUSTOMERS SKIPPING IN LINE NOT GETTING A # AND FOLLOWING THE PROTOCOL ESTABLISHED BY THE RESTAURANT, MAKING OUR WAIT LONG. THE PASTRY CASEMENT LOOKS DIRTY AS WELL. WHEN WE FINALLY SAT DOWN AFTER WIPING DOWN OUR TABLE WHICH THE MANAGER SAW US DO AND DID NOT EVEN APOLOGIZE FOR THE FILTHYNESS, WE SEE A GIGANTIC ROACH CRAWLING ON THE WALL. WE THREW OUR FOOD AND LEFT THE ROACH CRAWLING ON THE WALL FOR THE NEXT PATRON. GROSS!

This is always my first stop once I touch down at MIA. We meet friends and have a taste of my favorites. It is a fun, loud, delicious place but this past Friday was different. They had a trio, Las Tuna, that would walk around singing. VERY LOUD. I couldn’t speak to our friends. The server couldn’t hear us. It was very disturbing and obnoxious. Afterwords they would come around so that you would tip them…so we are eating and now we feel obligated to stop, look for some cash to fill their hat. So while the music is something I would enjoy, this seems more appropriate for the outside area. People usually have to wait a bit to be seated and this would be quite a distraction to have them out there. I love Versailles and plan on it still being my first stop. I would hope the owner reconsiders the level of discomfort this is while you are eating 🙃

Every time we come to Miami, we have to stop here to eat. This is about as authentic Cuban as you can get. The food is delicious and the service is wonderful. Very nostalgic.

Expected a wait at "The most famous cuban restaurant" Versailles even at 1:45pm, we did have a 30 minute wait but it was a pleasant place to sit and have a mojito while waiting--went next door to the cafe window for a jamon y queso croquetta which sated me til getting inside the restaurant for Picadillo and Ropa Viejo---the place is run like clockwork and we were in and out within about 30 minutes or so---the food was very good and portions were plentiful---Oyaima was a great server! There is also a larger version of the cafe/bakery just next door to that with tons of sweets and savories to take home.

The best Cuban food in Miami. Every time we finish our cruise, we stop there for lunch. 100% recommended. Try the guava cheese pastelitos.

This is a must if you're in Miami. Their Cuban sandwich, seafood paella, and arroz con Pollo are unmatched. They have a bakery too so you can get a couple of their guava pastries, croquettes, or empanadas to go. They also sell their coffee in whole bean and ground so you can take a taste of Cuba with you. There is a Versailles in the Miami airport too, so you can grab something last minute. Highly recommend!

The Versailles never disappoints. Delicious Cuban food and more promptly served in a lovely decor. I enjoyed the chicken vacca and the white bean soup. There are always so many things on the menu I would like to try.

Wanted to go here for the history of the place. It was nice to sit outside with a mojito while waiting for our table. The service was extremely fast. From the time we sat down till we left couldn't have been more than 30 minutes. They sure know how to move people through. The food was just "ok". We had the Versalies combo for an appetizer. The cilantro dipping sauce is what made them. Delicious! My husband and I both had the large version of their famous Cuban sandwich as a meal. It was huge! I took half my meal with me for the next day. It was good, the bread definitely made the sandwich. In my opinion, it was just a glorified ham sandwich. Glad I got to try it, but would not need to go back.

We bought an Empanada Espinaca (spinach & ham) Frita and an Empanadita Guayaba (guava). The crusts were so light and flaky! The bakery can be accessed through an outside counter (where several people were drinking their expressos & eating their pastries), through an outside door, or by walking through the Versailles Restaurant. The staff was friendly & helpful as we made our choices. 😊

We ‘ ve been coming here, sporadically when on holiday, for the last 20 years- and it has always been great. The menu is vast but we never tasted a bad thing here. Compared to exorbitantly overpriced restaurants in Miami - this is is a real gem. Such a friendly service as well. I can only say: we love you guys - keep doing what you are doing!

This restaurant is always busy and for good reason. When you arrive you give your name to the host outside and have a seat on the patio. 30 minutes seems to be the average. Once inside you get seated you will see the wait staff are very efficient. Very quickly the magic arrives, food is fresh, hit and delicious. We’ve had pork, chicken and seafood dishes with rice, beans, fried plantains and sweet plantains. Meats are flavorful, marinated in citrus and moist. Sides are also delicious and nicely seasoned. Save room for dessert the dulce de leche cheesecake is our favorite.

The fame has taken this place no where in the food industry, they don’t serve bread even having their own bakery, the dish or many of the day is served with rice and the soup of the day is not included so you order your dish and if you want beans is extra the waiters are not friendly it’s like you are there because you want to is not their problem I order “ tostones rellenos” is a fried green banana cup but the filling is lacking filled with tomatoes and maybe two shrimps cut into pieces to fill all four for $10.00 you couldn’t put a shrimp on each? 4 shrimps. In a Cuban cuisine bread is the first thing on the table and if you want your tip work for it I used to make good tips by working the table but tips are not required unless you offer the service.

Great experience. Came without a reservation. Not the best of ideas given the waiting line. A quick pit stop in the bakery made a 25 minute wait not too cumbersome and well worth it. Alexis completed our day with tips, menu suggestions and fantastic hospitality. A more than pleasant culinary journey into Cuban cuisine. It is was not already for us it now is the most famous Cuban restaurant ;)

We tried the media Noche which we have had before. They were pretty good, but we have had better. We also had the empanadas variadas and they were very good! Sandwiches were around $8 so not a bad deal. Only issue was that the food was cold so we had to hear it up in the microwave when we got it. Beware there is a delivery charge (expected), but also a service fee on top of that and they attempt to add 25% automatic gratuity on top of that (unexpected). Just pay attention to your order before you submit online.

Not authentic Cuban food and not good food in general. The soup came luke warm and the Cuban sandwich was awful. We got one other dish (yucca) that was also terrible. Aside from the food, the ambience was zero.

This restaurant is beautiful and has AMAZING food at incredibly reasonable prices. 4 stars instead of 5 because service was pretty slow and inattentive (I don’t have high standards for attentiveness).

A delight this restaurant in Little Havana! We ate the traditional Cuban sandwich and took the mojito, which was great. The atmosphere is very good and the care of Felix was excellent! I recommend!

Amazing coffee, guava and cheese pastry was a highlight too. Service was super friendly. We loved it and were very glad we made the trip to this iconic place.

Lackluster service, so-so food, cafeteria atmosphere, not even the best Cuban in cajje 8….queue at the door perhaps due to the attractive price, as the service and quality leave something to be desired

Nice dinner with family visiting Miami for the first time. There was a little bit of a wait but was seated fairly quickly.

My husband and I stopped in on our way to Key West for breakfast. We loved it so much we stopped in again on our way coming back for dinner. The vibe is very different and where breakfast was amazing, DINNER WAS MUCH BETTER. There are families eating at large tables and men in white shirts tending bar. I loved all the sounds of people and Cuban music. The food was delicious. We had the assortment of empanadas, stuffed green plantains, their special Cuban sandwich, a mojito, their version of a crème brûlée and of course Cuban coffee! Our waiter was Lester and he was attentive and kind and delivered perfect service. They do speak both English and Spanish so feel free to speak both. I love Little Havana in Miami and I love Versailles! If you are any where close… make sure and visit. They also have a on site bakery that is very popular!

We went to try the highly recommended sandwich. Terrible service, the waiter was rushed and impatient, I also asked for mashed potatoes because I was feeling sick that day and he made a mocking face. Bland sandwich, full of mustard, which steals all the flavor from the rest of the ingredients, I don't recommend it and I wouldn't go back.

Versailles Bakery coffee was delicious, and the pastries were very good as well! We would love to try the restaurant next time! I would recommend

Typical Cuban food, good prices for delicious dishes and reasonable portions, it is a must visit for not locals and for local, it is a place where you go and keep going

To test and retest A local institution that meets expectations Affordable price Efficient and pleasant service Good and hearty dish On the other hand, plan on waiting, even if it is best done by having a drink next to it :)

We only had 48 hours in Miami and we wanted the best Cuban sandwich out there. We had heard from multiple people to to go here. The sandwich was a complete disappointment. The pickles were sliced, so thin and they were so few of them they might as well not been on the sandwich because you couldn’t taste them. Zero mustard on the sandwich. Bread was dry and hard. try somewhere else!!!

THE SERVICE AT THE VERSAILLES RESTAURANT IS ALWAYS EXCELLENT, AND I RECOMMEND EVERYONE NOT TO MISS ALL THE DELIGHTS THAT THIS RESTAURANT PREPARES

You get a fish out of water experience being there for the first time when you don't speak Spanish. Does give some insight and understanding on how it must be for immigrants in a new place. The pastries were lovely.

We arrived a little after 1pm on a Saturday afternoon, parked easily across the street and added our name to the wait list and were told to expect a 40 minute wait. It was quite crowded outside but there were plenty of tables with umbrellas available for seating. We sat at a table in the sunshine, chatting with others, until our name was called. Once inside the restaurant, it was quite a surprise to see such an outdated space that felt much more like a diner than a well known restaurant. As we were shown to the table, it almost felt like an airport tarmac, with hostesses using walkie talkies and waitresses waving down the party and pointing to where to sit. We were provided menus and when we ordered our meal, our waitress appeared very confused when I requested a Cuban sandwich without the bread (I am gluten free). Our appetizers arrived quickly and unfortunately, so did our entrees not even five minutes later. I was very sad to see my meal when it arrived- as it had not been heated. I had to flag down our waitress because the man that delivered our plates did not seem to understand my request to heat the meat and cheese. The sweet plantains were delicious, and the value of the food was unbeatable for Miami. We did need to request our check, which I found strange considering the huge wait outside. Overall, I’m glad that we experienced it once, but it’s not worth a repeat visit considering all of other options in the city.

I took my nephew to taste authentic cuban cuisine. The servers were all Cuban exiles or first generation Cuban American born in the US. I ordered the ropa vieja. My favorite Cuban dish.

Ordered via doorsash. Everything was delicious. Empanadas and cubanos were very good. Highly recommended. Check order, ours was shorted a cubano but plenty of food for our family.

Sunday 12:30pm, less than 10 minutes wait for a table. Great waiter who was attentive and very kind. We had a Mamay milkshake to start then a Versailles Combo for appetizer and then a media Noche with a camerones al ajillo (garlic to die for) plate. Finished with cafecito con azucar. Perfect. Took a Spanish baguette home for lunch tomorrow too. Wish we were closer than Fort Myers but, a treat each visit to Miami.

We spent some time in the Keys and Miami and this was my favorite meal of the whole trip! We had the Versailles combo appetizer. This was good. Hubby got the Criollo sampler and liked most of it. But the star of the show was my Shrimp Au gratin. OMG it was seriously one of the best things I've ever had! I still think about it. Seriously the best flavor, texture, just everything was perfect. I ate every last bite of it! I will be back here for it next time I'm in Miami for sure! We also loved the Cuban coffees and came twice for some of the sweet treats at the bakery. No idea what we got, since nothing is labeled and the workers didn't speak English enough for us to understand, which is fine. They were all good, so it didn't matter!! We found out that we love guava here though! Great guava treats!

The symbolic restaurant of Little Havana, very spartan and bare, from the 60s. A little physiological wait for lunch and you are projected into another era. The menu is large and varied, I took some advice: plantains, mariquitas with mojo and fufù with masitas to start and I continued with the great classic of the Cuban tradition: vaca frita. All extremely delicious, presence in the Michelin guide justified and a stop to be done again. Advised.

A terrible experience The place has a run-down 70s interior – not nostalgic, just depressing. The food was very bad, the service was practically non-existent, and the beer was served warm. It feels like no one here cares about quality or guests. A complete waste of time and money – I won’t be coming back and can’t recommend it to anyone.

Attracted by the positive reviews and visiting the city of Miami, my partner and I decided to try this famous restaurant in the Little Havana neighborhood that turned out to be a good choice! I tried both the empanadas, crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside, and a main course consisting of a great leg of lamb, soft and tasty! Finally, a note of merit goes to the service that was impeccable: quick, professional and always with a smile. Therefore, if you are in Miami and want to taste the real Cuban cuisine, Versailles is a must-see!

Cuban food very often but this was spectacular. Empanadas were delicious along with the El Classico. Highly recommend this restaurant.

In the Miami airport we wanted to try the pastries and coffee. Very pleased very fresh. I would recommend patronizing this business.

Excellent food. We all enjoyed it very much. The setting of the restaurant is very beautiful, in an old-fashioned style. The map is quite important. The service is very fast. The prices are very correct.

Large and famous Cuban cuisine restaurant in Miami. A collaborator brought me and I really enjoyed it. Excellent dishes, friendly and quick service considering that the place was full. I hope for a next occasion!

We wanted to try a local favorite while in Miami for the night. Being from the south, we have a lot of flavor in our meals. I’m glad I visited for the experience but there was nothing we ate that would make me want to make the trip to eat it again. Service was great, friendly staff that took time to make suggestions. We tried the bakery as well. It’s a cool place to visit and I think it feels a lot like home for locals.

Enjoyed the Arroz Con Pollo and the Classic Cuban Sampler plate. The food was more than plenty, delicious and served up quickly! The margaritas were excellent, as well.

Great Cuban Lunch ! Ceviche ! king fried fish plate and pork onion sandwich. Great warm leche coffee ! Portions are good size. Busy place. Too full to go to the bakery. Everything looked yummy

Most amazing meal I have had in a long time! The food was phenomenal and this will be a mandatory destination anytime we come to Miami!

I enjoyed the Caribbean food, and atmosfere in the restaurant was good. The waiters were nice too. All over, I would recommend.

Of necessity as a tourist we had to go to Versailles We were pleasantly surprised Good rates Generous cuisine with taste

Today December 8, 2024, I planned to celebrate my husband's birthday with my family at Versailles Restaurant, Miami FL. Worst decision I made. I first visited Versailles Restaurant when my husband and I recently got married in 2001. We haven't had the chance to visit the restaurant again since then. I found it a perfect opportunity to visit Versailles Restaurant with my husband again in 2024 and a great occasion to invite my whole family to celebrate his birthday. We were a total of 11 people tonight. We had service issues the minute we arrived at the restaurant to the last minute we left. We also had the worst food quality and taste in the last several years among all the restaurants we have visited. The Food and Service went from being perfectly delicious and great service in 2001 to being the worst quality of food and service we have ever had in the last several years. Everyone at the table was dissatisfied with the food and service. I totally regret inviting my whole family to try the restaurant for the first time and being so embarrassed celebrating my husband's birthday at Versailles Restaurant. I am not coming back and not recommending it to anyone I know. Beware and choose wisely the restaurant you want to visit to celebrate special occasions or any other reasons you might have, because the bad experience we all (11 people) had tonight at Versailles Restaurant, I wouldn't want anyone to experience it too. Everyone at the table was disappointed at how horrible the food tasted, at how undercook the rice was, how the fish smelled like gone bad and ready to throw away but yet was served to my brother like that. The waitress did somewhat a good job but still she made several service mistakes and flaws that caused issues with the overall service experience. Honestly, Versailles Restaurant has been the worst restaurant I have visited in the last 23 years of our marriage. Taking into consideration we eat a lot at restaurants and we travel a lot in the USA and abroad in other countries eating at restaurants every day during our trips. If I could give 0 stars that would be my option from the bottom of my heart.

This restaurant is fabulous. We enjoyed the mojito while waiting at their patio. The wait is not too long. The prices of their food is very affordable. The quality and taste of their food is excellent! The staff are very friendly.

We had dinner on a Tuesday night. The restaurant was busy but we were seated immediately. Versailles has a large menu of Cuban specialties. We both had seafood and enjoyed our meals. The ceviche was very good. Our server started off very good and attentive but we never saw her after our food arrived. We sat for over 10 minutes after finishing our meal before our table was cleared. We found the prices to be very reasonable for the area.

I like you very much, they serve you very well and the exquisite food, the price well, there are variety of dishes, very well presented and prepared. El.dessert super !!!

Sensational! Excellent experience! Food made with great care, delicious flavor, super ok price (especially compared to others in the region) adequate portion. All in all, it was totally worth it and we will definitely be back!

Excellent atmosphere and menu. Large variety of Cuban food and all kind of drinks you can possibly think of. Prices very reasonable. Service swift and kind.

Excellent experience! February 2024 We were very well attended to at Cafeteria Versailles. Food made with great care, delicious flavor, excellent price, (especially compared to others in the region) adequate portion. All in all, it was totally worth it and we will definitely be back!

We had high hopes for this restaurant. We were disappointed. We ordered the palomilla steak and vaca frita. Both of our meals came out cold. The rice and plantains were good. My appetizer never came out and we were charged for it despite informing our server before the check came. We would not return.

Great little place. I would do thinks a little different, but that's because we had deli/ bakery shops in Holland. The girl from Italy was super friendly....

Great place for Cuban food, the sandwiches and paella were delicious. We went on a Thursday night and only had a 5 minute wait. Will be back.

We visited Versailles several years ago and enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. This time I wasn’t as enthusiastic. Definitely the restaurant caters to tourists. The restaurant is huge and can accommodate large groups of people at a time. The food was good but not great, although I still enjoyed a tasty Cuban sandwich. We thought that the adjacent bakery was overpriced.

Poorly prepared food, poor service, not a good experience at all I personally did not like the restaurant If you wish to return and visit it again

Great food , great service I would definitely recommend this place . My family of 4 went before the winter classic hockey game in Miami . There was a wait but it was ok . The food was fresh the service was very good . We went to the bakery next door and got dessert to go . Definitely worth the trip . The food was not expensive either and the portions were big.

A great Cuban restaurant in the Little Havana district of Miami. It offers a great selection of dishes, desserts and cocktails. They were really delicious. Service was perfect, friendly and professional. Prices are very reasonable! Definitely worth a visit!

Always had a great experience here except for this last visit. The boliche was smothered in a meat gravy instead of a traditional au jus. One of the slices was overcooked and hard to chew. The moros was dry. The service was not very good and the staff was not friendly. Very disappointed!

I would strongly suggest visitors to the area stop by and try this establishment. It is simply outstanding. The food is authentic and well prepared and presented. The service is excellent. There was not a long wait time when we arrived. The serving sizes will have you quite full and likely taking some to go. The prices are very reasonable, and the atmosphere is unique and inviting. We will come again!

This is a must visit place in Miami. Plenty of parking. The food is very good and the service super friendly. Prices are very reasonable, especially given how well known and popular it is. The Cuban sandwich is terrific and the rest of the classic dishes are very good too. No reservations.

An institution in Miami. Very rich menu, low prices, fast service. The place is quite confusing, but the tables are well spaced.

You have to go at least once, just to say you did. It's an institution, for sure. The place is massive and always buzzing with energy. We went for an early dinner and the service was incredibly fast, almost too fast, but our server was friendly. I got the ropa vieja and it was pretty good, tasted like my grandma used to make. My husband's Cuban sandwich was solid, but not life-changing. The plantains were the best part, perfectly sweet. It's not a fancy dining experience by any means, more like a loud, busy cafeteria. The food is decent for the price, but I think it's living more on its old reputation than anything else.

We went to this restaurant as a family of 4 during Christmas break. There was a long wait for the table but we didn't mind waiting since they have tables/chairs outside and it was a pleasant evening. There is cafe and desert shop next to the restaurant and we ended most of the waiting time there. :) The service was great. We ordered four entrees and all of them were great. Drinks and cuban-style beer were great as well. The bill was much lower than I expected. So definitely good value from our perspective.

Local and tourist were eating here. Big restaurant cool old fashioned Cuban feel as to what I would thing it’s like. We shared empanada and Cuban classics. Both good.people watching was great.

Huge selection of spanish sweet and savory pastries- so much to choose from!! Clean, well organized, weak staffed and used number system to move line quickly. Lots of parking. Eat in or take away. Looking forward to my empanadas for lunch- the key lime pie looked amazing BUT I resisted!!!

You cannot visit Miami without visiting Versailles. Everything is delicious, no matter what you choose. And there is PLENTY to choose from. I recommend looking at their daily specials because you’ll find very special items indeed. And do not miss their separate bakery. We went back twice just for that alone.

The dishes offered do not deserve to wait 1h30 in line, they are just correct. Versailles is not the best Cuban restaurant in the world as it is highlighted on the restaurant’s sign. Just to put the cross in the box.

I lived in South Florida for over 20 years. Even though it was 50 miles away from my home, I would make regular visits to Versailles on Calle Ocho. The quality and value, along with the authentic experience, was unlike any other Cuban restaurant in South Florida. My wife is Cuban and I am from Argentina and a big fan of Cuban food which I have enjoyed during home cook meals with my wife’s family. So I know Cuban food. I recently visited family in South Florida and couldn’t miss making another visit to Versailles. What a letdown! I’m not sure whether it’s because the founder died in 2022, but the whole place seems to have gone downhill. It’s now more of a tourist trap than an authentic Cuban restaurant for locals. We ordered a chicken dish “Vaca Frita de Pollo” and couldn’t finish it. The quality was very poor. Food was lukewarm and the accompanying rice and sweet plantains were substandard. It’s sad that such an iconic South Florida institution has succumbed to cost cutting and living off past laurels.

Long waiting line, rude, unattentive and cold service, mediocre food. The oxtail is definitely overpriced, too salty and mostly fat, sides were cold and tasteless. Tourist trap.

What a great find, great food, great service. Staff from Versailles Restaurant, our server was simply brilliant! You must come here and bring all your friends and family

Great variety on the menu, great meats, big portions, very normal prices compared to the rest in Miami and very fast service.

Friends forced me to come here. Loud and crowded. Food so so. Bakery was unimpressive. Some things were not labeled and numbers were called out in Spanish.

This restaurant is so popular that there was a 30 minute wait on a Saturday at 3:30 pm. Fortunately there is an outside bar to keep you refreshed. I wanted some plantains so I started with the plantain soup. It's different, but I enjoyed the taste and texture. Both of our entrees were cooked in garlic sauce. The chicken and white rice was very good. The snapper and yellow rice was excellent. And both came with a side of plantains which were wonderful. Portions were large enough to get a second meal. Of course we finished with some Cuban coffee.

The fame of this place is fake. I order a family meal and it was discusting. The breaded steak was like rubber and suposed to be breaded, the paella white as snow white and the rice uncooked and on top of that when I call customer service to complain they simply hang up on me. Go and your own risk. My personal opinion the health department should take a quick trip to this so call famous restaurant.

I lived in a Cuban neighborhood in Miami for 2 years, and ate a ton of Cuban food while I was there, and then in NYC where I worked for 30+ years (Victor’s Cafe 52 on 52nd Street - still there). Had not visited Versailles in many, many years. I was delighted to discover that very little has changed. It was one of my favorites (although I must confess that my absolute favorite was Lila’s with the bistec palomilla covered with mound of super skinny matchstick fries - sadly now long gone). Cuban cafe con leche, Cuban sandwich, ropa vieja, platanos, a mojito. All delicious. Lots of families enjoying Sunday lunch. Hopefully it will be around for many more years!

The worst place to eat ,the Pan de Bono, taste terrible , It is a disgrace to the true Colombian bonus bread and the associates are the worst 👎

Food: 2/5 Service: 2.5/5 Environment: 2/5 Waiting time to get a table: 30-60 min The food was dry and boring. Similar to school food. The beer was good anyway.

We took took an Uber to the restaurant at 8:00 pm. on a Thursday night. It is located on the corner of a a busy street. We only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. The restaurant was bustling with customers eating many delicious looking dishes. Their menu is extensive and reasonably priced. We ordered ceviche as an appetizer and the combo Cuban platters, which were very tasty and generously portioned. For dessert, we loved the creme brulee and tres leches cake and coffee espresso. Everything was excellent. I would return when visiting the area. Very authentic!

Yesterday we went to have breakfast and we had the most unpleasant experience at this establishment. Our server was ******, our order # ******, table **, at 10:30 am. Another patron was seated close by watching tv or streaming on his phone and the volume level to the maximum. Needless to say, it was very uncomfortable and disturbing as we could not have a conversation or have a moment of peace to enjoy our breakfast. When our runner brought our food, we asked him to please ask the man to lower the volume. He went and spoke to another employee, who in return spoke to someone else. NOBODY DID ANYTHING! The staff passed the gossip around but none of them made an attempt to speak to the man. I asked for the manager on duty and he said there was nothing he could do. I replied: "This is a private establishment and you can speak to the person if you want to". He said there was nothing he could do. I was told, W****** L*****, the general manager was off that day. It was so bad that another couple got up and moved themselves to another table because none of the staff members did anything about it. Even after repeated complaints from several customers. Neither M***** (our waiter), nor the hostess, the food runner, or the manager on duty (His name starts with an A?) did anything. They all said, "There is nothing we can do". Or is it that they were all afraid to approach the person? Since when the discomfort of about 10 or more customers is superseded by the rudeness of just 1, who by the way was only having toast and coffee, while all others were spending way more. Very disappointing to see how the customer service of the establishment ignored frequent customers in such a blatant way. Upsetting. VERY UPSETTING. Seems like the staff needs a refresher on courtesy and how to better serve the clientele.

We loved Versailles Restaurant! We knew how famous this restaurant was and have been wanting to try it out for some time now. A small part of me wondered if Versailles may turn out to be a tourist trap but Versailles delivered as promised. Our table ordered the Roast Pork Loin Au Jus, the Braised Oxtail, and the Special Cuban Sandwich, with a variety of appertizers, including the Assorted Croquet. Every dish was superb! We especially loved the Roast Pork so much we ordered another one. It was so well prepared...tender and juicy. My wife is a connoisseur of Latin food and she said the Cuban Sandwich was the best she's had. Besides the wonderful delicious Cuban cuisine the service was fast and professional. The food came so fast. Also, don't worry about them not taking reservations...the wait to be seated was not long...even though it was packed. Extras to this restaurant was the little window side shop where you can buy hot hand held foods like Croquets and coffee. And also a full Bakery. Versailles Restaurant has it all.

20min waiting outside (but I was warned and the staff followed the waiting list carefully). Another 20 minutes before we come to take my order, a little long... The dish then quickly arrived, hearty at a very reasonable price. Too bad the price of cocktails was not shown on the map, we only know it at the time of the check... I think there can be equally nice places, with good food and a nice Cuban vibe in the livelier part of Calle Ocho.

The food was good and our grandchildren enjoyed their grilled fish dinner. My husband and I enjoyed remembering what it was like in Miami when we were last there in the late 70s. Versailles restaurant was part of that memory lane experience and was greatly enjoyed.

This is a fantastic, authentic and unpretentious place to enjoy great Cuban food at reasonable prices. The staff were great too.

This is fine...good variety of cuban dishes to try. I wouldn't get a cuban sandwich here but something like ropa vieja. I love yucca but didn't really like the yucca here. Plantain chips were good. Croquetas were a little weird to me texture wise. My kid loved his roasted chicken and my husband loved his picadillo as well. I had the fried pork which was tasty. The maduros are not super sweet, but still good. Mojito was minimal in quantity, I wouldn't order that again. The queso flan is 1000000% worth this visit. Best cuban sandwich is at Sanguich, if you were wondering :)

This restaurant is a must visit in Miami. Food is cheap and delicious. Great staff. I loved the Cuban sandwich, yucca fries and desert: tres leches and key lime pie. At their spot on Miami International on D: ham and cheese empanadas, tostones chips and cheese bread are the best snack pre flight. Delicious food!!

So today when I eventually found my accommodation no thanks to Google , I was starving, as I'm staying four blocks away. I decided to try the Versailles Bakery for my brunch and it certainly lived up to its reputation ! I of course had to have a Cuban sandwich for those of you that don't know what is in one of these bad boy's it's Cheese Ham Roast Pork pickles mustard and mayonnaise in a toasted baguette, followed by the fruit tart, which is a pastry base filled will custard topped with strawberries , peach ,blueberries, kiwi fruit, all washed down with a Cuban coffee with milk . Ok it was $16 for ,but it was well worth it ! I sat in but it's cheaper if you're taking out ! I heavily recommend that if you're here in Little Havana , it's a must visit!

Subpar at best. Hostess was rude. Waiter disappeared after our order came and did not return. Don’t waste your time or money - definitely not worth the hype.

Quite a selection of pastries, cookies and cakes is offered here! Real dessert central. You have to get a number and wait for your turn.

Best customer service and empanadas I’ve had in my life. Everyone was so friendly and spoke both English and Spanish. The drinks (OJ & Coffee), and pastries were also amazing.

We went to the Versailles Restaurant to sample their legendary Cuban sandwich. Cuban Sandwich Recipe - roast pork, ham, Swiss cheese, pickles, and yellow mustard, pressed inside Cuban bread until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted It was delicious!

The quintessential Cuban dining experience in Miami, serving authentic dishes with rich flavors and a vibrant atmosphere

We got mahi in garlic sauce with yellow rice and plantains and it was delicious. A busy restaurant but we weren’t rushed out. Hope to go again.

This is a such a cute place and the sandwich I ordered to go was great however, I was really looking forward to a piece of Tres Leches Cake that I ordered to go, but when I sat down to eat it an hour later, it was nothing but liquid. Absolutely nothing solid (like cake). I thought maybe they gave me ice cream instead, but they said they don’t have that. It took six phone calls before I could talk to a manager and all they could offer me was a credit, but I do not live in Miami and will likely not be back anytime soon. Very disappointed in this customer service.

The place was very very packed and really needs reservations instead of waits in person plus food came so much later too, it made the experience worse. Half of the menu items were missing so we didn’t even get to eat that well
Don't waste your time or money here
Poor food, undercooked and cold. Beer and soda were served warm. Bad service. Stay away, definitely not worth a visit
