VIA313 is our new "Go To" pizza restaurant. It compares favorably with Piccinos, but is still behind Maggiano's Little Italy for Italian food. Maggiano's is still the best Italian restaurant in the Denver metro area.

This joint is so good that my wife ate nearly an entire pie to herself. It is hard to imagine that such good pizza could come out of a food truck. We planned on going somewhere else on Rainey but the aroma from Via 313 drew us in and did not let us down.

We came to Craft Pride because we heard about all the great Texas beer and live music, and when we saw the pizza food truck we were too tempted to say no. We ordered The Detroitan (I think that's the name) and The Hawaiian. The Detroitan had pepperonis and some marinara sauce on top of the cheese and the Hawaiian had the traditional pineapple and bacon. The crust is a very airy and crunch thick crust. It's not like deep dish, but it is very good and easy to eat with one hand. Overall, I really enjoyed the pizza and experience. I would recommend it to anyone looking for good pizza in Austin.

So this is what a Detroit-style pizza is all about. I dig it. Not your typical round-shaped pie but instead, it's the perfect thick crust pizza that's square-shaped, meaning it has 4 corner pieces. Yes! I'm no pro but I do know what good pizza is and this food truck located in the beer garden of Craft Pride sure knows what it's doing. Just look at the crowd they bring to this place. Well, they do have live band performance in a backyard setting so that may be another reason. Seriously, try THE CADILLAC and tell me it isn't so. Power ingredients like gorgonzola, prosciutto, parmesan, fig preserves, and a balsamic glaze sit atop this pie and it was glorious. THE CONTINENTAL with arugula and prosciutto wasn't too shabby either as it had our much needed greens but if I were to find myself back here, I'm going all in with THE DETROITER. You should do the same.

Via 313 is attached to The Craft Pride pub. We thoroughly enjoyed the pub, but the Detroit styled pizza made the pizzeria and the pub a wonderful blend of alcohol beverages paired with great pizza. I would go just for the pizza.

A local told us to try this place. We personally like thin crust pizza - they didn't tell us it was thick crust, or that there is no place to sit outside. We thought this was a restaurant - it is a food truck located outside a bar area. We ordered a pepperoni and a meat lovers and went inside the dark (blah) bar to wait for our pizza, and get some drinks. Luckily the pizza was quite good. Kind of pricey (around $12-15 for a 4-slice pizza), but it filled the 4 of us up with 2 pizzas.

Fantastic Detroit style pizza made in an oiled pan. Our daughter who lives in Austin says it's the best pizza in town and based on our experience, I believe her. Great selection of local beers on tap. Nothing beats a beer bottle chandelier.

The absolute best pizza you will taste if ever in Austin. I have been dreaming about this pizza since my visit. Detroit style pizza that will have you craving for more. This is a food truck located behind Craft Pride on Rainey Street. Delicious!

The Detroit style Pizza is very good here. I grew up eating at Buddy's in Detroit and Via 313 filed my craving for that crispy, crunchy caramelized crust. Out waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and helped pick some great pizzas.

Delicious pizza with a lot of toppings and thick crust. Great service and pizza was cooked quickly. We will definitely be back when in the area again.

I went to craft price and ended up eating pizza. Actually was really good. The flavor, the dough, and the ingredients. Also a great complementary for the beer,

Via is an outdoor pizza truck offering Detroit-style pizza that is extremely good. If you are not familiar with Detroit pizza but like New York or New Jersey pizza you will probably be pleased with the quality, style, and taste. There is outdoor seating & a fabulous beer bar located as part of the complex. Eat outdoors or take-out.

The overly thick crust was like a grease sponge covered over in way too much greasy cheese. It leaves you feeling like you ate a brick. I have had pizza from all over Austin and the country and it was way better than Via 313.

We visited the food truck on Rainey St on a recent Sunday evening after a recommendation from a friend. The two of us ordered 2 pizzas (4 square slices) and it was 1 pizza too many (especially because we didn’t have a fridge in the hotel room). I ordered the meatball minis the peppers, add ricotta and it ranks up there with the top 10 pizzas I’ve ever had. AMAZING. Be prepared for a wait...we ordered at the truck and it was about 35-40 minutes. It’s better to order online and then take you time getting there. Plenty of indoor and outdoor tables to enjoy your pizza once you pick it up. Bar located inside. On the day we went they had live music and then switched over to a DJ. I highly recommend and we will be back!

I have to admit that I actually didn't know there was such a thing as Detroit style pizza. While I can't say whether or not it's good as far as Detroit style goes, it was pretty good pizza. Good sauce. It's really more of a food truck located on the back patio of the bar Craft Pride at the end of the Rainey St strip. We enjoyed drinks from the bar and listened to the band performing while waiting on our pizza which took about 25-30 minutes or so.

It's all about the crust. In the style of Buddy's Pizza in Detroit, this place nails it. Have a beer and a pizza and enjoy the patio environment corner of River & Rainey Street - back of Craft Pride Beer's patio.

This place is a little hard to find. We were looking for somewhere to eat a late dinner. It is a food truck permanently parked inside of a backyard of a bar on Rainey street. There are signs on the front of the building (the bar) telling you the pizza truck is there. The pizza is good! Its a square pizza. One pizza was enough for two of us. They cut it into four squares. Its pretty cheesy and the sauce is good. We got the pepperoni. The bar is also very good and has some yummy flavored beers.

DUDE, you have to eat here!!! It may be a bit of a wait, but IT'S WORTH IT, I PROMISE!!! We got the HERBIVORE (veggie, but delicious) and CADILLAC (with prosciutto), we got both to have the best of both worlds, which I would def recommend!! YUM, YUM and more YUMMMMMM, that's all I have to say!! :-) ENJOY!!!

I grew up in Metro Detroit and love to discover what other places call "Detroit style pizza" as it was just pizza when I was a kid. Via 313 was legit; it was the rectangular, deep dish with reverse toppings. Just the right combination of magic. If you've ever tried Buddy's, this was like that only with more unique combinations of toppings. If you have no clue what Detroit style pizza is, check it out but go this specific location as I was told they are the ones with the authentic cast iron pans which make the crust so fab. The Ambassador Bridge was the bomb, I strongly suggest trying this one.

The pizza is extra cheesy and delicious. One pizza is also large and greasy enough for two people to split! My boyfriend and I both had to take leftovers back to the hotel, which turned out ok because it's also yummy cold.

We ordered four different pizzas: the ambassador, the Cadillac, the carnivore and the rocket. The crust around the edges was very good. Some of the slices were a little doughy in the center. They went a little overboard on the arugula. It was just thrown on top so it wasn't very good. We did have a cople of appetizers. The roasted artichokes were delicious. Right on point. The bread they served was hard and not very tasty. My kids really enjoyed the meatballs with marinara.

Here now and by far some of the best pizza I’ve ever had. I’m telling you do not miss this. Old school square with great crunchy crust.

This is by far the best pizza I've had in Austin. They have a couple locations but this location at Craft Pride give even more choices since they have many many beers on tap. The pizza does take some time depending on how many they have in front of you and they can only make so many at a time. We usually over order so we don't have to go back for seconds. Stop here for the best pizza in Austin.

If you have never had Detroit Pizza you are really missing out. Often overshadowed by the more famous Chicago Style pizza, Detroit style is no slouch. Its a square pizza with caramelized cheese ends and loads of gooey cheese . Via 313 offers one size (its basically a food truck) that is probably good for an individual who is hungry (my wife and I went through two). Some of the best pizza i have had in years, and I live in Chicago. Be sure to order the Detroiter - basically two layers of pepperoni. Great stuff... I wish I lived in town so I could have everyday!

This review is for the gf folks. Don’t usually write reviews but think in this case it needs a PSA. This ain’t your typical sawdust cracker crust gf pizza. Totally unique true deep dish experience. It’s soft, chewy, authentic crust. I have no clue how they do it and no one else can. Toppings are also top quality including two kinds of “gourmet” pepperoni.

The title says it all. This place really has incredible Pizza. My favorite is the Detroiter - think layers of Pepperoni and Cheese. And they make it gluten free as well.

Serving from a caravan in the Craft Pride beer garden, this was a welcome accompaniment to some great beers and live music. They serve "Detroit style" deep dish pizza, which is subtly different to the Chicago style. There were 4 members in our family group, and we all enjoyed the pizza. They even have gluten free options.

I don't have Detroit-style pizza that often. Usually I prefer New York style, but this pizza was really delicious. The sauce was seasoned very well and the crust had a nice texture to it. Really enjoyed this place. Definitely want to come back and check out some other pizza combinations.

Delicious Detroit style pizza! I didn't even know what that was, but this place is soooo good! Located in a great beer bar on Rainey. Great vibe, great food, definitely recommend.

We started off with two appetizers - the artichoke dip and antipasta salad. Both were delicious and would highly recommend. We then ordered one of their square pies - The Omnivore. Again, the food was delicious and lived up to the hype. On top of excellent food, our waitress was outstanding. For a fairly new restaurant, with a large crowd, she did not miss a beat. Will be back soon, very soon.

First of all, I'm from the midwest and have family from the Detroit. No one I know has ever heard of "Detroit style" pizza. Seems to be a made up. The pizza, however is pretty good, although on the greasy side.

Don't usually like thick crust, but OMG, carmelized thick crust was the best. We got the one with pepperoni, pineapple and jalepeno as recommended by the man taking our order. WOW!

Via 313 always gets good reviews, we don’t get it. We don’t like Chicago style, which is their specialty, so we get thin crust. The crust is undercooked and the toppings are uninspired. Buffalina, Home Slice, and Pieous are all better pizza options.

Perfectly cooked thick (not just crust) pizza. Delicious fresh toppings. This is one serious pizza. Sauce just right too.

Went there for cheaper eats after having cocktails at one of the more expensive places nearby. My wife loves Chicago style pizza while I prefer NY thin crust, so Via 313 is a good compromise. It may a be little expensive for some to pay $10-15 per person for a pizza, but they use quality ingredients. We really enjoyed the sausage and peppers pizza (you could really taste the sauce and the sweetness of the peppers were enhanced by the spice of the sausage). We also had an Omnivore which was quite good, but felt all of the proteins dominated the flavor too much. It's definitely in our top 3 pizza places, so give it a try.

Since Friday was National Pizza Day — we had to try out the popular Detroit Deep Dish Pizza. Be prepared for a long cook time — called in the order at 5:30 told order would take 90 minutes for take out. Well worth the wait. Very tasty. If you love crust you’ll love this one!

Had a few adult beverages at the brew house where the trailer is located. Not really sure why it is a "Detroit Pizza" but it was very good and service was great!

I'm from Metro Detroit so I know a little about Detroit pizza and these guys do a great Detroit pizza. We ordered two. One cheese and pizza sauce and the other veggie. And it's a food truck! And delicious. My first time at a food truck. My recommendation, if you haven't had Detroit style pizza, try a traditional sauce and cheese one and then your favorite toppings on the other. And take home leftovers, if you have a mini fridge in your hotel room.

First time having Detroit style pizza. Loved it. The ingredients used were very fresh. I really liked the sauce drizzled on top of the pizza, San Marzano tomatoes, I think. We will definitely go back next trip to Austin. Interesting dessert made with pizza crust too.

If you like thicker pizza, this is your place. We just love this pizza. It is so unusual and delicious. We decided to dine in recently and were able to add salads and drinks for a fun, casual dinner.

I’ve been wanting to try Detroit-style pizza for a while so a visit to Austin gave us a great opportunity to try it at Via 313. The Rainey St location is serviced by a trailer at the back of a lot shared with a local brewery. We sat outside (many of the tables have some shade) and listened to a live band while we waited for our pizza. The pizza? Our ½ Detroiter, ½ The Rocket was amazing! It had crispy edges, a pillowy interior and tasty toppings. I would definitely go back again, again, again……

It's been 20 years since I had a real Detroit style pan pizza. This is as good as Buddy's pizza from my days growing up in metro Detroit. The staff was very friendly and real. The location in the craft beer garden is pretty nice too.

This place has a yummy selection of Detroit style pizza served out of a food truck. I had the Carnivore which was a combination of veggies with pepperoni and sausage. The crust was deep dish and super tasty. This place can be a little hard to find as it is behind another restaurant. Well worth looking for!

Hands down the best pizza in Austin! It's reasonably priced and you get a lot, the menu makes it seem like you're only getting a slice but it is actually 4 slices. Grab a beer at the beer bar and hang with friends - you won't regret doing that on Rainey!

Yummy Detroit Style Pizza - food truck on Rainy Street. We ordered the Omnivore. Loved that dogs were welcome. We are on the patio. Great toppings, great sauce. And the crust - spot on!

We will not come to Austin and not eat at Via. It's worth it every time always the best pizza I've ever had. I rarely give five stars but they always get one and I am always very happy to eat here.. Until I see you again via I can't wait!!

As a Midwesterner, I was unaware of "Detroit-style" pizza. These scrumptious, deep-dish, 12x8 (totally an estimate), baked cheesy goodness breads are delicious! The sauce is on top. I'm sold! Goes great with whatever your selection from Craft Pride!

Via brings back memories from growing up in Detroit, the Detroiter is amazing as well as the pub style pizzas!

If you drive down the short but bar packed street you won't see Via 313!!! You need to park and walk into Craft Pride and head to the courtyard. You'll see a food trailer toward the back. Have a tasty brew and some of the best pizza in Austin.
Beer and Detroit Style Pizza
We did a bar crawl of Rainey Street our last night in Austin. This food truck at the back patio of Craft had a vibe of chilling out in someone’s backyard. Combination of picnic tables and iron tables. Loved that dog owners can bring their pets and chill with a beer and good food. Beautiful warm evening, we stayed a while to people and dog watch. We had the carnivore, our first Detroit style pizza. Loved the cheesiness that goes right to the edge, no crust and bottom that is reminiscent of deep dish in its depth and crunch. Good base for our night out. Will be back!
