Our friends found this restaurant from watching a very favorable foodie review on YouTube. We came with them for a weeknight dinner to check it out. The restaurant, aka EI Village Pub Cafe, is a part of the off-Strip, smallish Ellis Island Casino located right next door. The restaurant interior projected an open, unpretentious, and welcoming vibe. Our waitress,Jen, was friendly and cheerful, and provided great service. The craft beers (we tried the EI Hefeweizen and IPA) from their own microbrewery were very good, and at bargain prices of $4! A glass of Pinot Grigio cost $5. The onion soup was savory. The House Specialty King Cut Prime Rib did not disappoint. At a huge 21 oz, it was juicy, flavorful, and tender. The Signature Fish & Chips was excellent as well: huge chunk of fresh, tasty cod in crisp beer batter. All in all, it was a very hearty and enjoyable dinner.

I've been going to Ellis Island for years--mainly for their micro-brewed beers, which are delicious--but this time decided to grab breakfast after a very early flight into town. Short walk from the Strip, I was greeted by a friendly hostess and seated. The restaurant is nothing fancy, standard furnishings but the staff is super friendly and attentive and the food is great. Like many, I ordered the $8.99 steak and eggs special which comes with home fries and toast. Steak was cooked to perfection--medium rare, eggs perfectly over easy, and the potatoes were both crispy and soft. One would think that a $8 steak wouldn't be that good but it was tender and delicious. Every one around me was eating the steak and not a single person complained about the quality of the meat. If steak is not in your wheel house for breakfast, they do have the standards--chicken and waffles, corned beef hash skillet, biscuits and gravy, bacon and eggs, etc. Nothing was over $15 and the portions are huge--you won't eat again for hours, even after walking the streets of Vegas. So, don't hesitate--give the Village Pub and Cafe a shot. When you're done, check out the casino as well--Ellis Island has some of the better slot and video poker payouts. Get a players card and after $20 they'll give you a free drink or slice of pizza!

Stop here at least once every time we are in Las Vegas. Steak and eggs fo $6.99, very good steak, chicken fried steak was very good. Hear this is a place the locals like. They do bbq after 5pm understand it's very good. Mico brewery on site. Currently undergoing an expansion byt is not impacting operations/service.

Nice food and priced lower than many eateries around the area. Portion was also big! We went there twice during our stay there. Be prepared to queue as it can get crowded!

Ordered a steak & meat was great. They like to cook things just a little too much. Got a big plate of food with great green beans & any kind of potato you want. Service was good and this is a nice bright place.

Located in the Ellis Island Hotel and Casino, this pub and cafe offers 24/7 food offerings - like steak specials, all-day steak & eggs, and a signature fish and chips - 3 large cod portions made with beer batter along with steak fries. They have a brewery on premises, so all their beer is their own.

If you are looking for a good inexpensive meal in Las Vegas, I will recommend Ellis Island. Their Chicken Fried Steak and Chicken Fried Chicken are some of the best I have ever eaten. That is saying something from someone raised on this type of food in the South. Really good for late night, especially on the breakfast menu. They lure people in with a $7.99 steak deal, but you are going to get what you pay for. The steak was ok but not a steakhouse quality steak. Will go back if we visit Vegas.

Staying at the Elara and looking for a non Vegas strip option that makes your wallet and your tummy happy. This is it. It’s 1/2 mile walk…so it’s like walking to the bellagio only going away from strip instead of towards it. Breakfast of steak and eggs was $10. The lunch/dinner menu included prime rib for $25. Bloody Mary’s where $8. It was a very respectable breakfast and we’ll be headed back to try more. The brewery looked very worthy too.

I had corned beef hash skillet with peppers and a side of sausages. I couldn't find the peppers! That was fine. I was the first one in at 6.30am so I was surprised I had to send the sausages back as they were not even warm! Corned beef was dry and had a bit of gristle. Eggs were cooked well but were small and not enough corned beef and way too much potato. Very basic restaurant and cheap. I paid less than 10 dollars. I'd suggest to walk a few more steps to Marilyn's Cafe in the Tuscany hotel if you like a well cooked breakfast for a few dollars more.

I went only to eat the $6.99 steak and eggs breakfast. It is not shown on the menu, instead you will see another price, so verbally ask for it. It came out after a short wait. The steak was seasoned to perfection and a good size. It came with eggs, potatoes and toast. It was very filling.

I am not a prime rib fan because I look my beef cooked. But I was able to order a cut medium well. Not only was the cut huge but cooked to my liking. The waitress was funny and the side dishes were amazing. We will go back before we leave this week.

This was our 2nd time here. Our new Vegas tradition is breakfast here on our first morning. Can’t beat the price, large portions and good food. Arrived just before 9am the Saturday of Labor Day weekend and there was no wait. Service was excellent, coffee was fresh and breakfast was delicious!

This is a must go-to in Vegas. You can get a meal for 2 all day for $25. Steak and eggs...$8.99 and the food was good. Staff was friendly and quick.

We visited this cafe twice while visiting Las Vegas. Our first visit was for breakfast, which included one amazing steak and eggs breakfast and one delicious omelet. Our second visit consisted of steak and shrimp and a wonderful fried chicken sandwich. Amazing value and generous portions!

Located in Ellis Island Hotel & Casino. I did not like my last meal several months ago, but decided to give them a second chance. My wife and I were seat immediately. We started with two Iced Teas. The service started off good at the beginning and fell from there. My wife order the Chicken & Spinach Signature dish with a baked potato. It came with a dinner salad. She enjoyed her food. I ordered the Chicken Fried Steak, but was served a very fatty Chicken Fried Chicken with wedge fries. (The fries were good. The wrong item was inedible). It also came with a Cream of Chicken Soup, that was not tasty. I guess under batter the cook could not tell chicken from beef. I would have had it sent back, but our waitress disappeared for 20 minutes. The table next to us waited 15 minutes for their bill and gave up with the same waitress. They went to the front to pay. I like to support locally owned businesses, but I will wait a few more months to return.

Fantastic food!!! Beks was our server, and she was super awesome!!! Steak and eggs for $14.99. Yum! Food came out fast and steaks were awesome!

My family and I stayed at ellis island hotel and needed some quick breakfast to get our day started. We walked across to the 24 hour restaurant at the casino. I ordered my daughter the chicken fingers and fries and I got the steak and egg breakfast. The food was great and very affordable. I spent about $20.

We played and waited for friends to arrive for dinner. We had prime rib with potatoes and green beans. Very good food and service. We will be back.

great food, best prices in the area, friendly service, and clean casino. this is the place to spend your time

Came on a weekday at 2:30 for a late lunch. They were about half empty based on the number of open tables--which were not socially distanced by any means. Took 10 minutes before my waitress, who was very kind, came by to take my order. And then I waited. And waited. And waited. After 45 minutes, I opted to leave. My waitress, who'd been AWOL for quite a while was surprised when she came by to see I hadn't received my food (which was simply a Philly steak sandwich no less). I told her to cancel my order and promptly left. Interestingly, while I was waiting, the people who had been seated after me received their food so I don't know what happened but the kitchen was apparently working. Just not very well. Will not be back.

We went for lunch and the poor waitress was swamped. She had the entire pub to herself and it was packed. She had no one to bus tables, refill coffee or seat people so she ran her butt off. She did a great job but the food was cold by the time she got it to us and we could not get a coffee or water.

We split the prime rib and the fish and chips, and that was a great combination. Although we had to send the prime rib back because it wasn’t hot, the second time was great and it tasted good. We topped it off with two root beer floats, and received a really reasonable bill, especially for Las Vegas. This place will stay on our list of restaurants to visit in the future.

Watched football and ate and drank slot. Good food and friendly service. Very economic. Standard cafe fare.

I'm not sure what it was but it wasn't a steak. Toughest piece of meat I've ever put in my mouth. Told the waiter and he suggested we order the prime rib. No offer to comp or get the manager.

Perhaps the best deal in Vegas. The steak special includes a soup or salad, a 20-ounce top sirloin steak, your choice of potato (I chose mashed potatoes) and a healthy serving of garlic green beans. That, along with 2 glasses of the house Cabernet cost me $27 - and that includes a $5 tip. It was very tasty. So good, in fact, I went twice during my recent stay. The hotel/restaurant is old, and the restaurant ambiance is a little loud, but if you're looking for a very good meal at a very affordable place, it's absolutely worth. Ellis Island Hotel/Casino/Restaurant is a little of the beaten path. If you're on the strip, you'll want to take a cab or a Lyft.

I walked here from the big bus tour based on reviews from YouTube influeners and trip advisor. I waited 35 minutes to be seated which was fine. The hostess and waiter were nice. I ordered a cesaer side salad and their world famous fish and chips. The salad was extreme fishy and gross. The fish wasn't fully cooked and inside was slimy. Fries were old and hard, just reheated. I can not recommend this place unless they change. Perhaps it was just a bad time or bad selection. Not sure but I won't be back.

Someone at our hotel recommended this place to eat. We went there the first day and enjoyed the food so much we went back several more times. The food was delicious, the prices reasonable and the service was great. Would definitely eat here again.

Ordered the Clan Chowder and Fish & Chips for myself and a Shrimp Cocktail and Sirloin Steak for my wife, The only edible part of the entire meal was the Clam Chowder, tasty, hot and good. That’s were the good part ends, the fish and chips were both cold, the chips tasted like they had been twice cooked in old fat/lars and the fish had a smell of ammonia and was off. My wife’s Shrimp Cocktail was stuffed full of limp lettuce that should have been binned, the sauce was exceedingly spicy but at least there were some fresh Shrimp which was fresh and tasty The sirloin steak that my wife had was massively overcooked. It was like chewing shoe leather and completely inedible. The green beans that it came with were covered in garlic butter, which wasn’t asked for but is apparently standard, and the baked potato that it came with must have been cooked over and over again and hadn’t even had the skin washed Don’t believe all the hype from previous reviews because only a down and out would eat at this place

Located near our hotel, we opted to try this place for breakfast. Arriving before 9am we had no line up. Steak and eggs are now 12.99. Friendly serve. Took our order fast. Food took a good 20min. Orders are big. Easy can share most of them. We would go back.

When our friends learned we were going to Las Vegas, everyone said, 'You have to go to the Ellis for the prime rib. It's the best in Vegas, especially for the price'. So, we did. It wasn't. The prime rib was incredibly chewy and tough for both rare and medium selections. The rub was exceedingly salty, but failed to tenderize the meat or seal in any flavor. Both of us ended up leaving half of it. Admittedly, some restaurants have an off night, and we thought about giving the Ellis' BBQ restaurant a try on another night. However on the way back to our hotel, we met a Las Vegas native who told us that the Ellis had a new chef, and the quality of the food at all their restaurants had taken a dive since they'd started. Save your time and money, and scratch this place from the running.

OMG! What a find ... You can get a 10oz steak and eggs breakfast for $10.00 ... We actually ate there twice ... Both times it was very good. It was great to see that you can find places that are really good and cost almost nothing with no strings attached!

My wife and I recently had breakfast at Village Pub and Cafe. The biscuits and gravy and the Classic Omelette with bacon were very tasty and great way to start the day. Our server Sean was great; he had a very full section, and we never had to wait for him to come back to check and attend to us. I was very disappointed in how his co-worker, Mario, handled clean glassware and steak knives. As he was unloading glasses from the dishwasher, he repeatedly put his fingers into the glasses to carry them; this was shortly after he had cleaned tables and scraped plates into the trash without wearing gloves. Another time I watched him cut open a package of napkins with a steak knife and then directly returned the knife into the clean bin without even wiping it off. Incidentally, that was the knife he gave to his next guest.

We ate here multiple times since it was close to our hotel. It also offered a nice variety so we never ate the same foods twice. And their prices were reasonable. It was busy, but waiting time was usually about 5-10 minutes. Servers were polite and efficient. It was nice not having to decide every morning or night where to eat.

This is our "must stop" while in Vegas. Consistently great food, wonderful service and unbeatable prices! Fish and chips and Chicken Fried Steak are our favorites, but EVERYTHING in delicious and you could not go wrong, no matter what you order!

Great restaurant a short walk from the Horseshoe casino. Service, food and price was excellent. Highly recommend stopping here for a more reasonably priced bite! Only waited about 10 minutes to be seated on a Friday night.

I went here on a tip from someone I know. I got the French onion soup, a side salad with ranch and steak and shrimp with baked potato. Everything was great but the steak was just ok. It was over cooked from what I had requested and a little tough. It could have been an off night but I have had better

Our first evening in Vegas we decided to take it kind of easy after a travel day. So we were looking for a low key dinner off of the strip. In suggestion on our Uber driver we tried this place. At first we were a little off put bc from the outside it looked like something out of the 70s. There were a few more rough around the edges patrons throughout the casino and parking lot. We got seated and had the nicest waitress. Ordered our food and it was out within 10 min! The food was amazing and the portions were gigantic. Even after I was done eating it looked as though I never touched my food. Everyone in our group (just a group of 4) were pleased and surprised! We will probably hit that place up again before headed home! 3 of the 4 in our group got the chicken fried chicken and loved it!

Ellis Island is a small hidden gem located behind Bally's. We have been going there for several years. Leave your name at the desk and they call you when your table is ready. The price is so reeasonable. The food is good and such large portions. We had steak and eggs for breakfast for less than $10. Medium well so so tender. Omelets were huge. The staff is friendly and helpful even when busy. Have been recommending Ellis Island to everyone.

This restaurant is located inside the Ellis Island Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. We honestly took an Uber everyday from our hotel on the strip to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner here! You can get the Steak and Eggs special with potatoes and toast 24/7 and its under $12!!! The steak is comparable to a legit steakhouse, such as Longhorn or Outback. If there's a little wait for a table, they have slot machines and card tables right in front of the restaurant to keep you entertained. You must eat here!!! The portions are huge!!

Dropped in here for breakfast. Busy place - service was good just a bit haphazard. The $15 steak and eggs was amazing. Great steak 👍 Pal had an omelette and wasn’t so impressed. The ham and eggs is massive - be warned! But good. Nice to step off the strip and experience something a little more authentic 👍 Worth a visit - 10min walk from the Horseshoe away from the strip

We dined here three times while in Las Vegas. We had heard about this place before but was the first time we ate there. Very reasonable prices and good friendly service. It is great for families too.

the steak and eggs was the same price as the country bene. i should have got that. but the waitress forgot we were there soi finally got up and told the hostess i was leaving. she showed up then

vegas I remember when.... I remember when the most expensive meal in Vegas was $15. that is not the case anymore Ellis Island hotel snd casino (not fancy) still is a great Vegas bargain. Serving up a beautiful inch think medium prime rib for $16.99 Baked potatoes is an extra few bucks This place is just off the strip; Mike off the strip. 10 blocks; past the flamingo hotel and Westin. Uber snd Taxi know it well They have a casino which is great; you can wait 30min to an hour for your table. Not the worst thing in the world. You can have a couple of beers and play Keno sit and talk. You might win $10,000 They do not take reservations so Go early, or plan to wait. Service is fast once you’re seated; Staff are friendly and they know their menu. they are also known for their fish and chips and sirloin steak $7.99 Two of us ate for 40 bucks; Full Prime rob dinner in Vegas. I Will return and expect to try their barbecue before leaving (separate area of the restaurant) I remember when the most expensive meal in Vegas was $15. that is not the case anymore Ellis Island hotel snd casino (not fancy) still is a great Vegas bargain. Always a Big Hit when it comes to value. Friends and Family are always satisfied with their featured Steak & Eggs special. Quality food and great service.👍

We ordered the grilled cheese with coleslaw and club house with fries. Both were delicious and very filling. Service was quick and our server was cheerful and attentive. We thought the price for what we had was very reasonable. We would definitely go back.

I have been to this restaurant numerous times and the last couple of times I have ordered the chicken and waffles, because they are one of the best chicken and waffles meals I have every had ANYWHERE. The chicken is not only crispy but it’s juicy as well. By far one of the best breakfast meals in Vegas. The service is quick and I have never had to wait long for a table. Also, the location is only a block off the strip so it’s a easy walk.

This place has the best chicken and waffles in Vegas. The chicken is crispy and the waffles are perfect. The service is quick and they are very efficient. This place is a short walk off the strip (located right behind Balley’s). If you go here you will not be disappointed.

The cafe is very good. Seated extremely quickly. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Several of us got the double prime rib. It’s a HUGE slab of prime rib. The only thing is there is quite a bit of fat. So while it it 2 lbs. there could be at least 8 ounces and maybe up to 16 ounces of fat. So just remember that. Very good flavor. Other food was good as well. Prices are very reasonable.

Had a craving for a Clubhouse Sandwich on arrival into Las Vegas and the Ellis Island Hotel was located next door to my hotel. The server was very friendly and the Sandwich was perfect. The food and service was so good, I returned a few times during my stay.

One of the best places to eat Prime Rib and Fish & Chips in Vegas! Went with my family and ordered the Prime Rib special and Fish & Chips. Wow such giant portions and for the value as well. The Prime Rib dinner was a 16oz cut with two sides of your choice for only $21.99 and the Fish & Chips were $14.99 with three thick pieces of fish and 16oz cups full of steak fries. Since Ellis Island Casino also has their own brewery, we tried their beer for $3. The Prime Rib was very delicious. It had a melt in your mouth feeling and lots of flavor without needing it to be seasoned. Definitely needed to share the steak as it was too much for me to eat in one sitting. The steak came with minimal seasoning, allowing people to add more salt or pepper to their choosing. I decided to not add any additional salt or pepper as I enjoy my steaks with a balance of tasting the quality of the meat and seasoning. The fish & chips were the best around the Strip because they had a great balance between the batter and taste of the fish. At most places, there are an uneven balance where there can be too much batter around the fish or not enough of it to cover the fish. This place knows how to make their fish & chips. It came with cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. The fish came out piping out, so you know that the food is cooked to order and not pre-made fish lingering around ready to be refried. Definitely will come here again whenever I visit Vegas! Oh, I also came here to eat around 4pm and there were not many people here, so a great time to eat dinner.

Located at the Ellis Island Casino. My wife and I dined here for lunch. We both had an Iced Tea. My wife had the Chef Salad and I had the Ham Steak and Eggs with potato's and toast. The portions are very large. The service was very good on this visit. I will return. Photos added.

Nice place, friendly staff but pretty average food. Disappointed with the quality and [unbelievably] the portion size!! Pretty miserable piece of salmon and cold veg - had to ask for mash. As usual in the USA I suspect the meat options are better. Food is served really fast - they don't wait for you to finish your starter before you get your main!! Eat fast.... Definitely one to avoid if you are vegetarian.

A nice little breakfast to start the day, although the selection o the menu was not the biggest. I’m an English guy looking for a traditional American breakfast. Would’ve éloge to have soon corned beef hash but the skillet I chose was berry tasty and substantial.

Located in the Ellis Island Hotel & Casino. Open 24/7. My wife and I dined here for lunch. We both ordered an Iced Tea. Refills were hard to get. Our waitress, Cindy was handling too many tables. She was totally overwhelmed. She apologized to every table multiple times. My wife had the Chicken & Mushrooms with a baked potato. It came with a salad. She enjoyed the food. I had the Frisco Burger with Fries. Terrible. I ordered the Burger medium well. It came out burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. They forgot to put Thousand Island dressing on the Sourdough Bread. That is the "signature items" on a Frisco Burger. I will give a pass for awhile on this restaurant. I added photos of our visit.

Still only 6.99, i can’t pass this up every time I’m in Vegas. It was about a 10 minute walk from planet Hollywood this morning but worth every step. The coffee is decent at 2.25 for a total meal cost of 10.01 before tip.

The Village pub at Ellis Island casino has an amazing $6.99 steak and eggs breakfast. Steak was one of the best I have had. Rebecca Perez was our waitress and did a great job! Very friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend!

Love the Chicken & Waffles, Chicken Fried Steak and Prime Rib are my favs. So much food and cheap. These meals are all under 20.00 and beat the 79.00 buffets by a landslide!

We had breakfast a couple times at Denny's during our stay at Bally's, which I thought was our best bet for value ..... but little did I know this gem was closer, far tastier, faster, and WOW.....very affordable. I had the french toast with strawberries and highly recommended. I would have enjoyed this breakfast every morning of our stay and you can't beat the 2-1 BlackJack offered at this casino!

Going to Ellis Island Cafe (located in the Ellis Island Casino) is like stepping back in time. The food is okay, nothing fancy or gourmet, but good and plentiful. The prices can't be beat. The steak special was about $12. (Steak, potato, salad, vegetable) The service is super fast and food arrives at the table within minutes of ordering. If you're hungry and low on funds Ellis Island is the place to go!

Arrived on a very early AM flight into McCarran and went straight to Pub for breakfast. The portions are large, plentiful, tasty at a great price without the LV Blvd mega hotel price. They are a block off the strip at Koval Lane and Flamingo Rd and open 24/7 with free parking.

This was first time this restaurant which is located inside the Ellis Island casino. The menu is extensive, but we came specifically for the boneless King cut prime rib ($22) which came with a salad and choice of potato. My estimate on size was 24 – 28 ounces. What I liked: - The house salad and fries were better than average - The prime rib was a winner, hands down. Large, tender and cooked to order. Yes, there was fat but that was to be expected since it was in the right spots. - The horseradish sauce was creamy and not too spicy - They serve Heinz ketchup What I Did Not Like: - The steak knife was low end having a vintage 1980’s hard plastic handle. I always say, steak tastes better when you cut it with a sharp knife. - The piece of prime rib was fatter than I would have expected My Prime Minister of Beef rating is 8.8/10 Moos. A better steak knife could have bumped up this score.

Hands down the best meal we had in Vegas!!!Hubby and I had the steak special. Steak, baked potato, salad and green beans. I upgraded to the Caesar salad and ordered the French Onion soup. Ruined French onion soup for life as it was the BEST I have ever eaten. I will be chasing the taste for a long time until I return in the fall. Portions huge. Our bill, which included one Mich Ultra, ice tea and yes FREE ice water, came to $36 bucks. It was discounted to $26 with our players cards. Too much food!! The steak was good. We always use A1 and Heinz 57. The Caesar salad off the charts delicious as well. Don’t forget to tip the wait staff on the total bill. I think we tipped at least $10. Vegas is expensive. We had a quick lunch at Sbarro’s at Bally’s that cost us $34. ZERO comparison between the quality of the food. Typical fast food in a food court. Ellis Island all the way!!!

Parked in the garage, got our player cards and coupons. Family of 4 shared 3 of the steak specials tonight. Delicious and more food than we could finish. Wait staff was in sync and great. You won’t regret this meal.

One of the best values in Vegas. Anytime day or night you can get good food fast for not a lot. Steak & shrimp is my favorite but everything I've had there is top notch. If you're lucky Coach will give you the next days football winners to get on. Highly recommend.

My husband and I ate there on our recent trip to Vegas. We both had the 50/50 Burger (half ground beef and half ground bacon) and it was amazing.

This is one of my places I love to go to when I am in Vegas. I think they have one of the best menus for breakfast and it taste really good. They have a special that is steak and eggs for a really good price, but on this trip me and my wife got their chicken fried chicken waffles. I can’t believe how good it was. The chicken was crispy and seasoned well and the waffles had really good flavor. We also ordered a side of bacon. The bacon was cooked perfectly (not too soft and not too hard) and you get a good amount of pieces for the cost. Even though Ellis Island is off the strip it’s still in walking distance or you can take an Uber/Lyft, but either way it’s a must-do when you come to Vegas

This place had good food for a very reasonable (Vegas) price. The service was great and you get a lot of food. I highly recommended eating here if you go to Vegas. The service was great too!

We were here on a decently busy night. Our service was quick and prompt. Charlie was our server and she did a great job. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular, but it was decent. My wife ordered the Chicken Alfredo and it came out with no noodles at all. When we asked about it, our server quickly realized it and took it back. She quickly came back and apologized and then told us that everyone in the back gave the chef crap about it. Rather than trying to cover it up, they made more of a joke out of it. The person who then brought her pasta out, also said how bad the chef felt that he forgot the noodles. The replaced it quickly and we all had a good laugh about it. I had the Steak & Shrimp. Nothing special, but not bad. Overall, this is a nice place off the strip with decent food. Ask for Charlie as your server. She is very down to earth and a great server overall. Doesn't sugar-coat things and is super easy to talk to.

We were just there. It was so good we had to eat there twice. Fast and amazing service. Prices can't be beat!@@

Absolutely great value for the price. Ask for DEALS! Food was delicious and very reasonable portion sizes. Highly recommend the place

A gem off the strip. Their breakfast special of steak and eggs is delicious and plentiful!!! An awesome bargain in Las Vegas.....Their Steak dinner special with potato and green beans is also delish and a great value. Service is good and everyone is friendly!

This Place is always has good food and good beer.Service is good and an great place for karaoke at the bar.

Ate dinner at this place and was really impressed with the food quality and portion for the price. The King Prime Rib was really good and tender. Not a big restaurant and becasue of spacing you might be mindful of what time you go there to eat. Service was good for us.

Great food, great service and at a good price! Got into town and was super hungry. Found this place on TripAdvisor and thought we’d give it a go. My husband and I both ordered the hangover burger. It was huge! I could only eat 1/2. The fries were cooked perfectly, fresh green lettuce, omg! Sooo good! And our server was super sweet, quick and awesome! The couple next to us enjoyed there food as well! It did look good!

We stopped by Ellis Island to try the seasonal Egg Nog (pretty good) and to have dinner at the Village Pub. We gambled for a short time with our player cards and got coupons for our meal. The top sirloin steak, with mashed potatoes and green beans was only $7.99. It was cooked just like I asked and was very good! My wife had a Philly Cheese steak sandwich with fries and it was large and very good. The craft beer they brew on site is only $2.50 for a 16 oz glass. We have tried 3 of the restaurants in this casino and the food has been consistently good and very inexpensive!!

We came here for the fish and chips...Amazing!! We would have never known about this place, but our Uber driver recommended it. Soooo glad she did!! The food and the price are worth it! Even the atmosphere felt like a throwback. We enjoyed it! It was our favorite, most delicious dinner we had this weekend. Oh. And The cheesecake is homemade! So fluffy and delicious.

Located in the Ellis Island Casino. My wife and I dined here for lunch. We both had an Iced Tea. My wife ordered the Steak Special that came with a dinner salad, baked potato and veggies. She really enjoyed her meal. I had the BLT Sandwich with fries. It was very good. I will order the steak special on my next visit. Photos added. Very good service.

This place is a go to for my wife and I. I absolutely love their chicken fried chicken and waffles. The chicken is juicy and the waffles are crispy. Great way to start your day.

Good food and variety at a good price. Quality!! Coffee shop atmosphere. The wait staff are awesome. You won’t find food that good for a good price that I know of. You name it…prime rib, breakfast, etc.

After a long day of driving and a show in town, we just wanted a basic dinner and nothing fancy. The steak dinner special covered our needs perfectly! The sirloin steak was a little tough but we were too tired to really care! A glass of wine really sealed the deal! Quick service and a large glass of water was superb.

I can't tell you how amazing the service and food quality and quantity the best dining experience and prices were very affordable .

Steak and eggs special was delicious and at a fantastic price of 9.99. this situation isn't on the menu. So you'll have to ask for steak special

We eat here often. They have great steaks and you can’t beat the price for any of their food. They are often busy but efficient with the waitlist if you happen to be there when they are busy. It is very popular and has a nice clientele. The service is excellent. Very generous portions and I was shocked they could make such good cod/chips.

Great for decent price for breakfast and burgers etc. short wait for seating but they have a good seating system and the staff is very nice. Service is good.

Our Uber driver from the airport recommended Ellis Island. There were several options, from counter service to sit-down dining. Really great prices, huge portions above average food, and attentive service. Wednesday evening needed an easy bite for an early night. I had the Caesar Sala with steak. Done to perfection medium rare, delicious fresh ingredients. Huge piece of cheesecake for dessert to go. Husband had chicken fried steak, garlic green beans and baked potato. Yen was our server and she couldn’t have been sweeter.

Can't beat the pricing of the food in this cafe, but in the case of our visit, you get what you paid for. Three of us ventured over for the first time lured in by the $7.99 steak dinner special ($2 off with player's card and you gamble at least $5). Dinner came with a garden salad (or soup) and a side. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer and didn't realize they were battered spears and not the thin chips. Breading was a bit heavy but OK. Garden salads were lettuce, cherry tomatoes and croutons and were good with fresh crispy lettuce. We all got the steaks, 1 medium rare and 2 medium. All three were very dry and tough. I think the steaks are pre-cooked to some level and then intended to be cooked to the desired stage as they came out very quickly (before we finished our salads). Learned our lesson on the food. Server was very attentive with keeping beverages filled and checking in.

Our dinner at the cafe this proved to be a disappointment. My wife ordered grilled chicken sauteed with portobello mushrooms, sun dried tomatoes, and spinach over rice. I chose grilled chicken breast with garlic green beans and steak fries. Entrees include a choice of soup or salad, with my wife choosing chicken noodle soup that was decent, but my side salad was pretty mundane. The more important issue was the chicken in each dish was overcooked to such an extent that I experienced difficulty even slicing it, the best I could is shred it. To add insult to injury, the garlic green beans were limp with virtually no garlic flavor. We have eaten at Ellis countless times over the years and this was by far was our worst experience. Even at 1/2 price using Las Vegas Advisor 2/1 coupons, we won't be rushing back for dinner any time soon.

This place was referred to us from a tour guide suggested this place! Man was he correct the Food service and prices were all Fantastic we saved over $200 easy and took home doggy bags, we went twice!

Off the strip, Ellis Island is a locals-type casino. None of the majesty & sparkle of the typical Vegas casinos, but well-ventilated so even a non-smoker can enjoy the slot play. They have some great offers for new players so be sure to ask about them all before you start. We received $5 FREE play (after you lose $10) and a voucher for $7.99 steak dinner. BEST DEAL AROUND. (BBQ options available too). Will definitely go back again for the relaxed atmosphere and decent food. Thanks EI for dinner for 4 that only cost as much as 4 sodas at a show on the strip (that’s not an exaggeration). You shall see me again! Oh, and Kevin our server was GREAT!!! Thanks for walking us through the process & taking good care of us!

This place has great food and portions. The cook loves garlic and has it in the green beans. The service was great and the food also great. Had grilled chicken with mushrooms very tasty.

The food at this restaurant is mediocre. The casino isn’t really all that great. However, the prices you really can’t beat. 9.99 steak and potato is unheard of. It wasn’t the best teak I’ve ever had, but it also wasn’t the worst. This is a great place for late night eats when trying to save a buck. Don’t expect a gourmet meal and you won’t be disappointed.

Mars ten was charming and a fun server. The breakfast staff was quick and the food was hot and tasty. Very clean and not noisy. The bar was smoking but was glassed in.

This place is located inside the Ellis Island Casino. This casino is known as a “locals favorite.” What that means is better than average gambling odds and cheaper food than the nearby Strip. The better than average gambling is not a given – at least not on slots. Table games, maybe. The food at the Village Pub & Café is nothing more than Denny’s quality. While locals give this place high ratings, you will spend 30-45 minutes waiting for basic food dishes and likely not see your waitress afterwards. Drink refills seem harder to get than pics of Bigfoot. As a Vegas local for 20 years, I have tried this place twice with visiting friends and, both times, was asked by them “Why did we come here?” Nothing special food, smoky atmosphere, and service that ranks in the bottom of the Vegas area. You might save $10 on a 4-person meal here, but you will lose an extra 30 minutes of your life and leave very thirsty. If you are walking from the Strip, it is 3 city blocks down Flamingo and not worth the trouble. Restaurants in the Miracle Mile are more convenient and just as inexpensive. And, you will not waste 30 minutes waiting for food that takes 5 minutes to prepare.

Ellis Island overall is not much to look at...off the strip and older place. Buy ticked inside is the Village Pub Cafe. People were sitting waiting, they give you a number and call you over a loudspeaker when your table is ready. The food is mouth watering delicious. Southern cooking done right. I had chicken fried chicken. Perfectly cooked, melt in your mouth delicious. The gravy is so good! Steak fries and garlic green beans. My hubby had chicken parmigiana and it was equally good. Inexpensive too!! Large portions. We will definitely go back!

First time we went to this location. While not in the most ritzy area of town - the food and service was great. Will definitely be going back when we are in town again. We all had the prime rib dinner - 2 of them were the double portion. Definitely a great cut of meat and tasted very good.

Highly recommend anything on the menu! Breakfast here is a must to start your day. Best coffee around. Friendly service and great prices!

Great food and service! They were really helpful and let me make some chafes to my lunch since I have food allergies. Full bar, great experience. We had chicken fingers and a burger, both were excellent.

We ate here twice during our stay, some wait staff is better than others, but both times had a good experience. Wouldn't recommend the alfredo, but the salads and chicken fried chicken & waffles was fantastic!!

Yesterday we had breakfast. The omelette was perfectly cooked and delicious and the $10.00 steak and eggs was amazing. Ordered the steak medium rare and that's how it came out perfectly cooked. It was tender and juicy. The server was so friendly and very efficient. We have been here a few times and have never had a bad experience and the prices can't be beaten. The whole meal was just $21.00! Will be back again and again.

I didn’t want to wind up In a Smokey place. But someone insisted I go here to eat. Guess what?! Great place. Glad I went. Very very good food. And waaaay more food than one could imagine. $9.99 steak dinner. And it was a true steak dinner. The service was excellent. Friendly. And no heavy smoke casino smell. Rare LV find.

I had the Wild Alaskan Salmon with Teriyaki sauce, baked potato, garlic green beans, and house salad. The salmon was excellent! It was succulent, moist, and the flavor divine. The garlic green beans were very flavorful. Our waiter was the oldest waiter I have ever seen. I felt bad for him as he shuffled around slowly. I wondered if he lost his money there and had to work it off.

How Reviews Work 5 Stars - Best ever on all experiences. 4 Stars - Best In the area. 3 Stars - Above Average. 2 Stars - Average or maybe a little lower. 1 Star - Below Average. 0 Stars - Terrible to even gross. Village Pub Airport - Total Bill $65 We visited for lunch before our flight. Our server was very nice and happy. Which is always a plus. Service - 3.5 Stars Our food came out quickly. The burger was great! I have a coleslaw on the side and it was just Ok for me. Too much broccoli. My wife mentioned the salad was just Ok and the chicken was dry. Food - 3 Stars This is the place we always come to when coming home from Vegas. Average score 3.25 Stars

I specifically went out of my way to eat at the Village Pub and Cafe at Ellis Island. This is not a casino that I would normally visit when I am in Las Vegas. After a quick walk through of the trashy and dumpy casino, I found the restaurant. I was seated quickly by the host. I found the place to be a bit dark but relatively comfortable. I ordered their Signature Fish & Chips that I have heard so much about over the years. I got three golden brown, different sizes pieces of cod over a bed of fries. One piece was huge but the smaller one was only half the size of the largest piece. The food was piping hot. The fish itself was fresh but I thought the batter was rather plain and tasteless. The fries were seasoned well with salt and pepper. My Cadillac Margarita was well made with a generous amount of alcohol. The fish & chips were good but definitely not the best I have ever had. However, I will come back and try the Prime Rib the next time I am in Las Vegas.

Once again a great late night steak and an awesome deal. Service was great and food was awesome. Can't wait to be back there in 2 weeks!

Visited Ellis Island for the first time with partner(from Scotland) and wasn't disappointed. Great food, great value for money breakfast(steak and eggs for $6.99) and tasted delicious. Wonderful service from waiting staff. Only complaint was that I wasn't able to stay in Vegas longer as I would surely have been here everyday! Only a few minutes walk from strip and well worth the effort to get there.

I'm always searching for an over the top fish & chips place. Well stop the bus, we're there! A friend said he'd heard this place was known for good F&C so we backtracked to this place after passing it. First, this place is located in the Ellis Island Casino, which is off the main strip. It's a bit of a tight turn going into the parking structure and around the turns...so be careful. There was a 45 minute wait to be seated. Once seated, the menu had numerous items that looked tasty. But I was focused on the F&Cs...whereas my buddy grabbed a burger. My order came with 3 large fish fillets...and they were some of the best tasting ones I've ever had! The fries were pretty average and I paired everything with a Coke. My buddy's burger was huge and he said it was really good too. There were a few TV monitors in the dining area and after asking our server to put on the ball game on, we were all set. Our server was nice and checked on us often. Prices were pretty reasonable. No keno runners in this cafe...just good food from what I could tell. I will definitely eat here again the next time I'm in town. I definitely want to try one of their burgers!...but already know I'll be leaning toward the F&Cs again.

Decided to try this place based on the mostly good reviews. I ordered the chicken fried chicken plate, my husband ordered fried chicken. Both of our meals were absolutely disgusting! My chicken fried chicken had the most strangest texture, it was way too soft and reminded me of tuna. I couldn't eat it! My husband's fried chicken had absolutely no flavor and looked like something you would buy at a gas station. Definitely not worth the money, regardless of how "cheap" it is. You're better off getting a meal at McDonald's, at least that's edible. What we had was not even close to edible. Unfortunately we just suffered and tried to eat our sides in order to be somewhat full. Didn’t complain, just paid and left. Wish I had sent my food back and used that money for McDonald's though. It was the worst meal/service I had in Vegas. Just spend the money and eat somewhere else!!!

We ate the one at the airport. This was amazing service and food!!! We had wanted to eat at the one in downtown Las Vegas but never got to it. We saw this one at the airport and came in. This place did not disappoint!! The food portions are huge and the service was second to none. My husband had the fried chicken and loved it. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious! I would strongly recommend you give this place a try. Prices are very reasonable!

My husband and I ate at The Eiffel Tower in the Paris Hotel and breakfast came to $303. The food there doesn't hold a candle to the food here at The Village Pub. Steak and Eggs, potatoes, toast and a root beer float for $15 with a tip! I cannot tell you enough how much you need to come here! Was here for the Steak and Eggs 10 years ago, and it's still as good and still as cheap! If I went to Vegas again, forget Paris, Le Creperie, Senor Frog's, Benihana's, Rollin' Smoke BBQ, Bubba Gump's, none of them are nearly as good as eating HERE!!!!!!!!

This place reminds me of old Vegas. $8.99 steak and egg special. Granted, the steak wasn't like something you'd get at a premium steakhouse, it was a great price for breakfast.

I often travel for business and rarely come across exceptional service. However, my dining experience at this restaurant on Monday was simply outstanding. It started with the spectacular work of my server (Jelena) and her work was complemented by their fine food. I can’t provide enough praise for Jelena, and I am person who notices when someone goes over and above to make me feel welcome. She was engaging, attentive, provided great suggestions and made my night away from home thoroughly enjoyable. They are lucky to have her on staff, and I am looking forward to a return visit soon.

Located in the Ellis Island Casino (open 24/7). My wife and I dined here for lunch. We both had an Iced Tea. She had the Chicken Parm Dinner (it was huge). It came with a dinner salad and garlic bread. I had the Ham Steak, Eggs, Potato's and Toast (also huge). We took the leftovers home for two more meals. The service was excellent and will return again very soon. Photos added.

This place is the bomb. Weather you are here for breakfast ,lunch .or dinner the menu will surely satisfy you in every way. The place is forever busy enough said. The food items are Amazing good and big and very reasonable. I have been here over a dozen times and have always left satisfied. No matter what i ordered it was excellent. Be prepared to wait around this place especially on weekends really is busy. If you are looking for a value meal and a good one at that try this place you wont go wrong

Incredible to think that you just need to take a ten minute stroll to find this slice of Old Vegas just behind Paris on the Strip. My buddy had heard about this place, that it offered incredible value for money and huge plates of food. He hadn’t heard wrong. I wasn’t feeling it for the steak and three eggs, so I went for what I thought would be the lighter option - ham steak with 2 eggs and house potatoes. The ham steak was so huge we both laughed when the server arrived with it. I was about to ask him where the eggs and potatoes were when I realised that they were underneath the gammon - it was so big that it covered the plate. Even though I gave my friend a large chunk of it, I still couldn’t eat it all. I should add that it was a nice cut of meat, and largely tender. The potatoes were nicely seasoned too. I guess my only gripe was that the eggs had broken. The servers were all friendly and helpful, making it an enjoyable experience

My husband and I travel to Vegas at least once a year and have wanted to try Village Pub and Cafe but never seem to venture over to Ellis Island. This year, we stayed at Bally's and decided to walk over for a late breakfast on a Saturday morning in October. It was fairly busy and we were told there was about an hour wait. We put our name in and they said they'd text us when our table was ready. We went over to the bloody mary bar and each ordered an awesome bloody mary and took it to play some slots while we waited for our table. They texted us before too long and we were seated quickly. We ordered breakfast, I ordered ham steak and eggs and my husband ordered the corned beef hash. Our breakfast came out quickly and it was fresh and delicious. We wanted to make a trip back to Ellis Island for dinner during our time in Vegas, but we never made it back. We will definitely be making this a stop during our annual trips to Vegas in the future.

Went for late breakfast on July 6. My husband was highly disappointed in the removal of corned beef hash from the menu. That’s his go to every time we eat here. Other than that, it was affordable and very good as usual. The only issue we had was that in the middle of breakfast, the fire alarms started to go off. Most diners continued eating but the staff seemed alarmed and began exiting the building. When we noticed the staff all heading out, we decided to vacate the building. After several minutes of standing outside in the heat, we decided to go back in. We saw an employee who appeared to be management with a maintenance employee in an electrical closet and asked if we could go back in as we were in the middle of breakfast. He told us they were just testing the alarms and that we should not have vacated in the first place and we should’ve asked the staff in the restaurant. We told him that there was no staff to ask - they were alarmed and exited the building. He had no comment and we headed back to the restaurant. Our waitress caught us on the way back in, and said she was glad we were back, and she apologized stating that the staff was scared because when they test the fire alarms, they are made aware in advance, and that the alarms went off due to somebody smoking in the bathroom. The food was fine as usual and we will continue our tradition of having our first Vegas breakfast at Ellis Island Village Pub,

This has been our go to breakfast place when we stayed at Tuscany hotel. I think we ate 3 times out of the 5 days we were in Las Vegas. Their waffle and deep fried chicken is delicious! They 8 oz New York steak with potatoes etc are equally yummy. The price can't be beaten!. Saves you tons of money for a good meal.

Really good value, the food was delicious and the service was really good. We took a 15minute uber to get here and we came back again the following day it was so good. Cheap prices off the strip, well worth the visit.

I had only been to Vegas once and that was pre pandemic in 2019 for my stag do!. We fell upon Ellis island by chance and had a smashing time. This trip was with the wife and I insisted we go back. The food, the atmosphere and all round feel is great. The staff were great, the food brilliant and value for money! We went a few times and both had the steak dinner. Cooked perfect, tasty and just a really great experience. They also have there own brewery onsite and so being a lover of craft/real Ale this was perfect as well. Not having to be stuck with American lager was another bonus and at three bucks a pint there is an argument to stay at Ellis island/village pub all weekend! Sadly, the wife wouldn’t let me……….. but I was lucky to have 2 visits! Trust me a great place and well worth a visit.

We go here often and it is always good. You can get a prime rib or steak or breakfast or just about anything! They are super nice. It’s not fancy but it’s a classic coffee shop. Generous portions and I always have a to go box!

My brother and I have stayed at a hotel around the corner twice in two years, and we have come here to Ellis Island for dinner both times. We like that it's pretty good food at a good price. They have specials, but menu items are reasonably priced too. My burger (with blue cheese) was very good, and my brother really liked his chicken and mushroom dish. I must say that the dark ale (Schwarzbier) made in the on-site brewery was outstanding. Our server (Yen) was friendly and helpful, advising us expertly about our food and drinks. The atmosphere is diner-ordinary, but fit our expectations for a smaller, off-strip casino and restaurant. The casino is loud, but the restaurant provides an adequate shelter from the crazy. I would not recommend the new restaurant at the front of the building; that place was overly loud with high-volume radio music playing. We will no doubt return again to the Village Pub in the future.

Stopped here with my son for breakfast and had omelette. My son had fried chicken and waffles. Wonderful food with supersize portions!! Best prices in town for food! Just off strip in Ellis Island Casino and open 24 hours, Carla, our waitress, was fantastic! We will be back.

This is the place to eat if you want a lot for a little price. Food is like the kind your grandma used to make. Great prices!

After all the rave reviews about the prime rib, I thought I'd give it a try... WRONG MOVE. Absolutely the worst cut of prime rib I've ever had. The cut of beef had NO marbeling... NONE. The slab was more like a thick cut of standard grade round. Literally, had difficulty cutting into it. Chewing it was not pleasant. Beware.

Depending on the time of your visit there may be a wait list for this eatery due to its immense popularity. We visited twice and on both occasions the food was very good. As an example, 3 alcoholic drinks and two mains of Alaskan salmon, which was huge and a chefs salad that was so full of various meats and cheeses it was overflowing, came to a very reasonable $.38.41. Without exception you are not going to find better value than this in Vegas and it is only one block back from The Strip.

Breakfast was inexpensive. While the food was a little cold - eggs and potatoes, butter waived over the toast. Service was good and prices were ok.

So I saw this place mentioned on an influencers YouTube video as an affordable place to eat… I gave it a go! And boy was I surprised! $26 for prime rib (massive portion; enough for two) mash and runner beans! It was delicious! One of the best meals we had on the trip! Brilliant! And soooo affordable! Will be visiting again for sure!

First off it was confusing because the BBQ and the steaks are in different places. We wanted steak so it's actually called the Village Pub and Cafe. It was defiantly a cafe and not what we had hoped to be for an anniversary dinner. We took a chance based off of reviews. Best BBQ in Vegas!! Our food looked great in the pictures too but the food was not good. My husbands steak was RAW by the time he got to the middle and took forever to get re-cooked. When she brought it back it looked almost exactly the same. I ordered that huge prime rib that looked awesome. The outer edge was tasty but the rest was tough and overcooked. Green beans were bland. I gave them to my husband and he didn't even eat them. Bread is a separate charge. It was OK. The waitress seemed like she was spun out. She talked so fast and kept interrupting us. We also got seated right next too where they bring the food out so it was a door constantly opening and closing. We read the breakfast was good there too but after our experience we did not go back. Bummer, because this place was very close to our stay at the Tuscany hotel.

We were there on March 27, 2021 for dinner, a Saturday night. The entire casino was bustling. It was about dinner time, about 5:00, and we wanted to eat in their restaurant. When we checked in, we were told there would be a half-hour wait. That turned out to be fairly accurate. We were seated at a comfortable booth and given paper menus. The food server was bubbly and seemed to be genuinely pleased to wait on our table. She offered a couple of beverage selections (beer and root beer), which were made there. I ordered the fried cod and my husband got the chicken and pasta. Both of us really liked our food. The portions were very generous. Three pieces of cod were brought to me, which was more than I could eat. I also had the cole slaw, which was sweet tasting. My husband said that the bread that came with his meal was quite delicious. I think that for the reasonable prices, this is a good place to check out.

The sandwich rolls are always hard, and they toast them on top of it, so it takes an ax to break it into bite size pieces. the steak fries are most always cold unless you order them crisp. the onion ring appetizer is usually about 5 to 7 rings which works out to about a dollar apiece. The specials never change and are luke warm at best. Go to the Blue Ox Central and get a good hot reasonably priced meal.

Food is amazing. Service is friendly and attentive. While visiting Las Vegas on a conference, this popped up as a nearby restaurant. We hesitated at first. DO NOT MISS IT! First night. My husband ordered the Special. Pot Roast. Gravy. Fresh green beans. Mashed. I ordered the Reuben. Very lean. Thick cuts. Second day lunch. Husband had Chicken and Portabello mushroom dish. I had fish and chips. Very delicious. ( not great heart healthy choices, lol. ). They are a brewery as well. Great beer as well

We both got the 24/7 steak special. One of our favorite meals on our trip and we ate at 22 different restaurants. Steak cooked a perfect medium rare. About 1/3 of the price of a steak at a steak house on the strip. We have been here before. Always great. We have heard that the breakfasts are super too. If you have never been here, do yourself a favor and go!

Love everything about this diner as it is definitely a flashback and an old-school place Nothing fancy here but that’s what I like about it , it was comfortable and very very good pricing and the quality of the food surpassed the price Our server was absolutely fantastic For me if I came to Vegas without a stop here would be a mistake if you like diner type places

Located in Ellis Island. My wife dined here for lunch and were seated immediately. We both ordered Iced Teas. My wife had the Chef Salad and I had the Swiss and Mushroom Burger Special with fries. The food was good. Our waitress tried her best to help us, but she was being harassed by the table next to us (at least 10 times). They were looking for a free lunch. They complained about EVERYTHING. Not enough butter on toast, salty food (half eaten), slow coffee refill, wanted tomato's instead of hash browns, wanted fresh creamer, Eggs cooked wrong (half eaten and replaced), etc, etc. After the 7th complaint the restaurant manager should have said we can't meet your needs, please leave. This ruined our meal because the waitress was overwhelmed. She apologized to us. It took a long time to get refills on our Iced Teas and the check. Several other tables were affected by this grifter couple. Pure shame.

Patrick is by far the BEST HOST HERE and pretty much anywhere. Tammy is simply the best and NEVER lets us down. #Ohyeah!🎵🎶🎺

I love the steak and eggs breakfast special AND the steak dinner special here, but my MOST favorite thing here is the chicken fried steak. It's $9.99, comes with mashed potatoes, a gigantic pile of tasty green beans, AND soup or salad. First, let me tell you about the soup. GOOD! Every soup I have had at Ellis Island is AMAZING. Chicken noodle soup? Good. Split pea soup? Had never had it in my life, fell in love with it here! Cream of chicken soup? Had only had it from a can, it was AMAZING here, kinda tasted like crustless chicken pot pie in a bowl. Sooo good. And that's just the soup...not even the main event. The main event -- the chicken fried steak. Gah lee, it's a GIGANTIC portion. Seriously, no matter how hungry I am (and I try to skip a meal or two before I come here), I can only get through like 1/3 of it. It's so good. The breading is so crispy, the steak is so tender. It's just GOOD. The gravy is yummy. The mashed potatoes and green beans are fantastic, too. Ellis Island is a quick and easy walk from Bally's. You should visit! It's so good! So cheap! And so good!

We ate here last year and it was delicious, so we went back this year for that $9.99 steak after you play $5.00. However this time it was not good. The steak tasted funny and it was hard to chew-I couldn’t even eat it. The baked potato was still hard as well, could have been cooked 10 min longer. My husband didn’t like his steak either. Very disappointing this go around. We actually had to go buy food later elsewhere as we were still hungry.

This restaurant served very large portions. And the prices are very reasonable. It was refreshing to be able to order fresh caught salmon and not farm raised.

We ate breakfast here one morning, and were pleasantly surprised with the quality of their breakfast special.

We found out about this place years ago from a local and had great memories of a great steak and beer. We returned to find that the prices had gone up some but were reasonable for what you get. We both got the prime rib and our request to replace the baked potato with grilled vegies was honored. The weight staff was friendly and attentive but not intrusive. The serving size was large, the steak was cooked to perfection, and my beer was cold and inexpensive for the size. All in all this place is still a local treasure and we will return next time we return to Las Vegas.

My friends and I went to Village Pub at Ellis Island for dinner one night in March. I ordered the Prime Rib with wedge fries and green beans for $24.99 and it was half decent. The starter salad was lettuce and half a bottle of thousand islands on it, something that you would see at a low-end restaurant. I found the service to be slow, but it wasn’t for a lack of trying. I did end up over tipping the old timer server, as it was not worth the wait to get a few dollars in return from him. This place is on my “do not return” list, especially when it has open walls next to a smoky casino.

From the staff to the food, great experience. The waitress was so nice and helpful. Then the food was delicious. I had a grilled cheese and it is one of the best, I have ever had. My husband had the 50/50 burger 50% sirloin 50% bacon and he loved it. Way to go Ellis Island.

Well, we were a little apprehensive about coming back here because it always seems on the ragged edge between good and not good. This time after returning the prime rib, potatoes, and green beans twice to have them warmed up we finally got it hot and it was very good. We also ordered the fish and chips which again was a little greasy, but overall also very tasty. So, if you don’t mind eating with the smoke of the casino and maybe not everything being perfect the first time, this place is very satisfying.

Have not been to EI in seven years. The place has committed to renovations and is more updated. One thing that brought me to this place was their cafe. Update...it is still top shelf!!!. Greetings, service quality and quantity and quality of food...second to none. Rose or Rosa was our outstanding server. I had the steak and eggs breakfast special for $6.99. Might not be on menu there ask for it. Get of the Strip and find this place..its "behind" Ballys. 6 minute car ride from TI. Walk able from Ballys monorail stop.

Had breakfast here on a recent trip. Nice offerings, but the breakfast steak, eggs, and potatoes special was amazing. Service was friendly and efficient.

It seems like every vlogger in Vegas has reviewed this place in the last couple years. I finally got around to giving it a try and it was excellent. We had to wait about 20 minutes for a table on a Wednesday at 12pm for lunch. We ordered the Chicken Parmagiana with Linguine and the Prime Rib French Dip. They were both delicious and an incredible value for your money. I saw some of the other customers ordering the $6.99 Steak and Eggs available from 11PM until 2PM and it looked great. The place is old school diner type food but with out of this world steaks. I will probably visit a few times on my next Vegas trip.

We ventured off-strip so hubby could show me Ellis Island Casino, his favorite when he comes to Vegas with his friends. We like to eat a substantial breakfast that tides us over until dinner. This one did not disappoint. Our server knew what she was doing and hubby never ran out of his coffee—this was the only place in Vegas where this was the case! This place is a nice reminder of Old Vegas—glad we made the hike!

Left an overall review on the hotel/casino site. First be aware that they have raised the price of the steak special by $2. My wife had real problems with the kitchen cooking her steak properly, set it back after first serving, three times, final time the steak was ruined. Service also was not very good. Maybe just a bad day for the kitchen and staff.

I've ate there several times on 2 trips to Vegas, Never had a bad Breakfast. Yes, it off the strip, but it's only a 10 min walk from the Flamingo. Steak and eggs that's only 7.99 is the best! Cooked it just the way I love.
Can't recommend them enough
The prime dinner is unbelievable! It's huge and oh my gosh it it tastes out of this world! We changed our plans and came back a second evening. The service was friendly and exceptional. The only downside was a certain sketchiness of the casino guests late evening.
