Don't be fooled by its mall location. This is far from a "mall restaurant."

By Stuart K |

One might think that an Italian restaurant in a sprawling suburban mall is just that - a mall restaurant. If you apply that to Villagio, you would be sadly mistaken. This is one of the best examples of midpriced, high-end Italian food you will find in Miami or elsewhere, for that matter. Villagio is part of a local group of restaurants which includes additional Villagios in Coral Gables and Sunrise (both mall locations), Calamari in Coconut Grove, and Carpaccio in Bal Harbour. All share essentially the same menu and pricing. While all of the group's restaurants are known for their large portions, high service standards and reasonable pricing, in my experience, the Dadeland location is the best of the bunch. It has a highly professional management and service staff and does an excellent job of recognizing and treating their regulars (and there are many) as special guests while not providing a diminished experience for the one-time, mall shoppers who stop in for lunch or dinner. If you are a local and want a place where you can get high quality traditional Italian dishes for a reasonable price - and have access to an excellent, fully-stocked traditional bar as well - along with warm, professional service, this is the place. If you're a visitor and want to be reassured that not every Miami restaurant is high priced and poorly serviced, this is the place for you too.

Turn the tables!

By bajangirl2009 |

This is our second visit to Villagio in the last 6 months and both times the food was very good. However, although the service staff is well trained and efficient, I believe it's possible to be TOO efficient. Their instructions are obviously "get the customers seated, fed, and back out in the shortest possible time"! We were celebrating a event and told the server we were in no hurry - did't make a lick of difference! the empty starter plate passed the incoming entree plate before we could even say "thank you" to the lady clearing the dishes! I would suggest they need to relax and chill a little bit!

Nice place outdoor sitting!!

Good food and atmosphere excellent service in doors and outside also great to meet friends for a nice lunch

Lunch for two

By ChrisintheBahamas |

This was a late Saturday lunch at Dadeland Mall. Our choice was the Cheesecake Factory or Villagio which are opposite one another. We were quickly seated and provided with menus. Water, some pizza and tomato followed with the menus. Starters of muscles, deep fried cheese arrived, well cooked and nicely presented. Mains were a steak and the veal parmo. Both were excellent Good service, reasonable price, overall better than expected mall food

Nice restaurant @ the Dadeland Mall

By gensley c |

One of the best restaurants located in the Dadeland Mall. Excellent fish/pasta combined with a good selection of wine. Also excellent for a romantic lunch or dinner.

I truly enjoyed the authentic Italian taste

By mjliberman |

The food is great. The service is decent but compensated by the great tasting food. If you go during peak hours make sure to make a reservation. I would recommend to stick to the traditional pasta and pizza, it is well worth the taste. Don't skip dessert.

Great Italian Food

By Andy p |

I eat at this restaurant everytime I go shopping in Dadeland Mall. It is always very good and they have the best bruschetta!

great service, hospitality and fabulous italian food

By joselito1959 |

i was very impressed with this restarant. it exceeded my expecations. we went to lunch. the place has a feel of a white table restaurant. the hospitality and service was superb. never had to wait for refills on the water. the diced tomato salad that they give you once you sit on the table with flat bread is just fabulous. the bread was also perfect. the plate presentations were just beautiful. we had for appetizer the mela parmigiana (eggplant ) with light sauce. one of the best i ever had. it was great for 2 people. for entree, veal parmigiana, perfect! plenty of food. and the linguini with shrimp, fabulous! you get to pick what pasta you want as a side dish. portions were large. excellent place ! and inside the Dadeland Mall.

Always a lovely treat

By CK S |

every time we dine, its always the same... Great! several; years ago, we hap'd upon this restaurant because there was such a long wait at the Cheesecake Factory (directly across). From the host to the professional wait staff, always there to serve. The flat bread, tasty with the fresh tomatoe and nice olive oil, the pasta is cooked perfectly, whether the linguine or spaghetti. A personal fav is the linguine w/ white clam sauce. very nice with a decent a mount of clams. The lasagna, plenty of meat sauce. The atmosphere is great whether for a family with kids or with out!

Poor...very poor...

By Cocolo47 |

Convenient location for shoppers is about the only good thing that you can say about this restaurant. I ordered a 'spaghetti bolognesa' which I truly thought it was a warmed up can of 'Chef Boyardee's'. My daughter's 'Fussilli al teleffono' has no taste at all. Service was surly and 'air conditioning' was at a level to leave you as cool as the food they serve. Will definitely avoid this place in the future¡

Average food

By Alejandro Z |

This place offers average food. Not gourmet dinning experience at all. Sincerely there are much better options in Miami

Fairly italian style

By Francesco G |

The atmosphere of the restaurant is ok if you sit inside, while if you sit outside you are in a parking. The meat was quite good but cooked for too long to be medium done, however the pasta was surprisingly al dente and good. Good service, average prices.

All day Happy Hour

By Saranger |

Came here for dinner as party of 7 on business. Sat out in the patio. Wait staff were attentive and friendly. All day happy hour prices are good ($4 beers, $6 sangria, and $8 mojitos) and menu has something for all. Shared a Harry’s Bar Penne with spinach, pine nuts and sun dried tomatoes that was delicious. The complimentary focaccia and tomatoes are delicious! Highly recommend this is you’re nearby.

Delicious food, good service and outdoor dining

By Julie S |

I ate outside with my sister. The atmosphere outside is very pleasant with the Miami weather. Inside is nice too but seemed a little noisy. The service was very good with a waitress who was attentive, and someone else who quickly and regularly cleared any items that you were done with. I had a lamb shank over risotto that melted in my mouth. It was a bit on the salty side (Which I like) but perfectly cooked and very tender. My sister had a filet mignon which she said was delicious, along with potatoes and broccoli. We finished the meal with a light, fluffy scrumptious tiramisu. The only negative aspect of the meal was that we asked for a few beverages that they did not have. My sister ordered two different after dinner drinks from the menu before the third one selected was available. I normally drink beer but the selection was limited, so I ordered a Miami Vice (frozen rum runner swirled with a pina colada), but they said they didn't have all the ingredients to make it, so I ended up having a Blue Moon beer. Overall a very good meal in a pleasant atmosphere. And because it's connected to Dadeland Mall, you can walk off part of your meal at the mall afterward.

Dinner

By Morriehcpa |

Excellent experience. Service was terrific. Food very good. Great value. All eight of us enjoyed the dinner.

Highly disappointing in all areas

By PidMiami |

Started off with dirty glasses on the table but these things can happen, no problem. Next the knife had food still on it, got replaced but not even a sign of apology or anything towards that. Neither water nor the Ice Tea were refilled unless you asked three times for it and even then it took a long time. Food was only average and despite asking for oil and vinegar as well as Salt and Pepper, of course they weren't delivered to the table either. Waiter 'Yamilka' was a disappointment throughout the evening. We always loved this place but this evening and experience was a disgrace.

Large tasty portions!

By Andrea C |

We love the flat bread served prior to the dinner. Portions are large. Chicken marsela is excellent! Service is always attentive. Prices are competitive.

nice italian restaurant

By MIAMISHEILA |

Villagio is in a beautiful setting, at the Village of Merrick Park shopping center., serving well prepared Italian food and pizzas. Love the complimentary bruschetta. Can dine inside or outside.

EXCELLENT food & PHENOMENAL service!

By kriswalk |

We sat outside on the patio, and it was an extremely enjoyable evening! The service was AMAZING!!! Amir & Milo worked great together, making sure we didn't need for anything, as they were there to provide everything possible! We did have a slight hiccup...they brought out 3 of the 4 dishes, and we waited for the 4th for about 10 minutes. The manager brought out the pizza and explained that they had a new chef who was just getting the hang of the kitchen and the menu, and while cutting the pizza, a piece fell, so they re made a new one, which was the hold up. He offered the dish on the house, which was very nice! I had the chicken parmigiana, and it was too die for!! My friend had the salmon, and it was also delicious! The bread served when you sit down is yummy, too! We had a wonderful evening & will definitely be back soon!

Excellent!

By Papapeyi |

One of the best places to have a good moment eating in Kendall: the service is average-to-fine, but the meals are excellent and so the general ambiance. Prices? Affordable

Attentive service, good food, mostly attractive setting, but noisy

By cbrysofla |

A notch above the average but more accessible than the high end, Villagio offers good Italian food. Service was professionally attentive, friendly without being indulgent. Most in our party of four were pleased; I enjoyed my pizza though I didn't quite care for the cheese blend. It's an overall attractive setting despite the east end having a huge window into Dadeland Mall; I wouldn't care for sitting on the patio beside the parking lot (certainly not in Miami between April and November). The bar has a TV—distraction from dining. Hard tile floor and other surfaces are attractive, but acoustically VERY noisy, unpleasant for relaxed conversation. For the money, I can imagine plenty of other comparably upscale Italian places with a much nicer ambiance.

Decent food

By aikininja916 |

The atmosphere, décor, and service were fine. The bread they provide before the meal is fantastic. The remainder of the meal was fine. I would go again, but they are not on my list of favorites.

Very Good Experience

By Jack G |

We had a very pleasant experience for our afternoon meal on a Sunday afternoon. The service was excellent given they were extremely busy with several large parties, popular soccer match on TV, and people waiting for tables. The food was very good and the special of the day, grilled octopus excellent - very soft with grill marks. I can also recommend the Lava Chocolate Scuffle, very very rich. Definitely will return.

Very nice

By Ja Bu |

I had a great time here, from the start to finish I felt very pampered. The meals all came out fine (I had the chicken parmigian, I liked it). The waitress didn't hover and was close by to assist us when we needed her. I would definitely recommend.

Worst meal ever

By Alejandro Z |

I went there because I had to go to Dadeland Mall and it was lunch time. Ordered a grilled tulipa with pasta. The tulipa was overcooked and was nearly impossible to eat. The pasta was not al dente as it has to be. The appetizers they serve (type of bruschetta) was hard. The bread must have been from two days ago. The coffee was undrinkable. In reality the worst meal I have had.

eat at least 2 x per weekend visit to Miami

By np1968276 |

great price, good food, great menu we have been visiting this location and the others in south florida for years

Expected better based on reviews. Average Italian at best.

By MrClarasDad |

Convenient location next to Cheesecake Factory at Dadeland Mall. Based on appearances I thought I would have a much better meal than I would have at Cheesecake Factory which I don't really like. However I think I may have been mistaken. Pretty basic Italian menu. They push their happy hour menu which is cheap, but not very good. The calamari was pretty basic and small. The Pinot Grigio featured by the glass for happy hour was not good. I had a Portobello flatbread pizza that was undercooked (I saw this mentioned in other reviews too so apparently a common problem) so the crust was rather soggy rather then crisp. Overall the pizza was bland as well. Other items on menu looked good so perhaps they do better on their more expensive dishes. Also, they had one bartender trying to handle the happy hour crowd and she was completely overwhelmed. Luckily for her everybody was being pretty patient but long waits for drinks, had to remind her of drinks that were ordered by never delivered. More of a management problem than her problem as she was working hard.

A pleasant dining experience in Dadeland mall.

By Larry S |

Restaurant serves and interesting assortment of Italian food. Good thin crust pizzas, excellent chicken Parmesan.

SUPERB

By geohove |

The staff at this retaurant are always so welcoming and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and offers very good value for money. Great wine list too. Particularly love the attention to detail like offering the gorgeous stone baked pizza bread and balsamic tomato and basil dip as a little pre-dinner treat. Always look forward to a return visit.

Mixed bag.

The outdoor setting for our lunch was nothing short of perfection. A beautiful January day, with a slight breeze, and a very comfortable temperature. Stunning describes the setting. The chemistry of the experience began very favorably, as we arrived for the lunch early. Initially, the interaction from the staff was pleasant and attentive. As the restaurant got busier, the service attention drifted, and we were mostly ignored. The food was good, not great, but it was the service, or lack thereof, that really surprised us. There was almost a confusion that existed. We'll likely go back, but will not rush back.

Great food with excellent service

By Saimanjai |

I was in Miami on a business trip and we went there for lunch on the Sunday and loved it so much we went back for dinner there later in the week. They has some delicious specials of mahi mahi and salmon, friends also tried the steak and the lamb shank. We also tried one of their pizzas. The waiters / waitresses were very helpful in giving advice and allowing a lot of choice with the sides. The only criticism was the size of the portions...they were huge...the salmon was twice the size you would get in England.....but they provided doggy bags! Great place for lunch or dinner

Good, Often overlooked midrange option in S. Miami

By David M |

Good food, good service. Not a fine-dining experience by any means, but I have been here about five times in the past year, always as a result of poor planning, not making a reservation somewhere else in time etc. That said, the food here has always been of a consistent standard every time. Staff is excellent, very attentive. Entrees are more like very well executed home-cooked meals, not anything too fancy or notably creative. Decor is ready for an upgrade.

Pleasant Lunch

By Troy G |

I went there for lunch a few weeks ago with a large group. They had to keep adding tables to accommodate us but I am not sure if that was on them or on the person in our group that made the reservation. They handled our large group with skill and ease. The staff was attentive (we had 3 or 4 servers) and the food was very good. All 20+ members of our group enjoyed themselved. The prices weren't cheap, but I think the value was decent - not an incredible vaue, but decent. I've been once before a few years prior with 3 other people in my party and we liked it then too. I will be back.

good food

we ate at villagio in merrick park. The eggplant parmigiana was as good as my mothers. not to mention my tuna steak with capers. so delicious!! very friendly staff.

Needs refurbished

By KatMIA |

Was a Thursday evening so many tables were available. I had not been there in about a year and I remember enjoying the food and atmosphere. We sat inside was a chilly night. First thing I notice was the chairs and table were beat up. The waitress came around and was wonderful but very slow at following up with ordering. We order wine and she broke the cork in half while opening so the maitre 'd came by and put his finger in wine and said no cork inside. I thought the alcohol would kill the germs of finger. I needed to use the restroom what a deplorable bathroom(sink, soap, wastebaskets) I wanted to run out of the place but I just hoped no one at my table needed to go so I try to erase it from my mind. I had the lobster linguine, the lobster had no taste if I had a blindfold on I wouldn't have known it was lobster. Others had risotto ( was ok),salmon (was ok)and one just had carpaccio (looked dry). The place needs an overhaul, many good restaurants in Dadeland Mall this one is on its way out. Very disappointed.

Good italian

By Jose J |

Consistent Kind of pricy for Pasta Wine which is cheap $10 bucks any liquor or wine store, here is soldfor $40. But almost all restaurants in miami do that which is absurd.

Victor is amazing

By Elvi M |

We have dined at Villagio in Dadeland for many years. One constant is Victor. From waiter to GM. He is professional, welcoming and amazing. He has a sense of what the customer wants and he is always right. He is humble and loves his job. Thanks to the management at Villagio For having Such an amazing employee in their organization.

Good Food but Very Noisy

By Bill K |

Villagio in "The Dadeland Mall" is very good. Excellent choice of authentic pastas, seafood, pizzas etc. The service was good; however, the place was very crowded which kept the two waiters working our station to be confused with our orders. This is not a place to go if you're looking for a quiet, intimate, dining experience. All the hard services (floor, ceiling and walls) are solid and make sound very reflective and it's very hard to talk without screaming. This can make things a bit uncomfortable

Great food and service in a wonderful Miami mall.

By Trista D |

My husband and I went here for a late night dinner after an evening of shopping. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly the attentive staff cleared an outdoor table for us. I enjoyed a decent glass of wine and Zuppa Di Granchio which had wonderful texture and flavor of seafood without being overly fishy. For dinner my husband had the chicken marsala; the portion was enormous. I had the beef carpaccio served with arugula and parm. It was sweet, delicate, and spectacular. Even though we were in the middle of a shopping plaza it was a nice place to people watch. I would go back.

Loved it!

By Adrianalfp |

Loved this restaurant. The dishes are delicious, appetizers are divine and desserts are also delicious. If you are in the Dadeland area make sure you go to this place.

Very nice Italian Restaurant with great flavors

By flora e |

Atmosphere is nice and food is served hot and with a smile Pasta dishes are excellent. We have experienced several dishes. Broccoli Soup and Pasta Fagul is excellent. Nice salads

Everything was amazing!

By brytanniw |

My husband and I traveled to Miami and stumbled upon this amazing place! Since we were on vacation, we did feel slightly under dressed even for lunchtime. We ordered the meatball appetizer- let me just tell you this.....it will change your life!!!!! The red sauce was the best I’ve ever had! My husband ordered the veal which was perfectly prepared. I ordered the Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi which paired well sharing the veal!!!! We ordered the creme brûlée’ for desert - it was really good but slightly runny on the inside. Overall, the best place we ate in Miami! Do yourself a favor and splurge!

Very nice staff

By athena-fl |

The staff at Villagio were very nice, prompt, and efficient. Our water glasses were never empty, the food was delivered piping hot, empty plates were cleared promptly. The salads were quite good. We both found our entrees to be a bit on the salty side. The decor was pleasant. We found the noise level in the dining room to be a bit deafening. The prices, in our opinion, were quite good for South Florida compared to similar restaurants-for two salads, two entrees, and two glasses of wine with tip with paid a little over $60. We wouldn't avoid Villagio in the future, but we wouldn't beat a path back, either, based on the food and the noise level.

Good mall choice for dinner

Always visit when at the mall. Is the perfect end to a shopping day. Food is always good, service better than average and ambience good

You have to try the Ghocci's excelent!!!

Not bad, food good, service not great!

By Neena C |

Went there on a slow Tuesday night. Ordered the calamari appetizer which was good, along with the mixed salad (good) and the lasagna (nice) and a glass of Pinot Grigot and a margarita. Place was pleasant enough, but our server was not very helpful at offering the daily specials until we asked. She seemed very disinterested and uninvolved. Not sure we would return with all the fun restaurants we could try out.

Villagio - Italian - Miami

Great Italian food, but a bit pricey! Service was fantastic!

Restaurant clearly on the Decline

By WorldTravel2016 |

I have been to this restaurant before and had good experiences. However, now I will NEVER go back. First, my wife and I ordered Pinot Grigio wine and the waiter brought us a very sweet Mascato instead. When confronted we were told they were out of Pinot Grigio. Really, this is nonsense because every Italian Restaurant has Pinot Grigio. Nearby you can get it 3 bottles for $20. Obviously, the restaurant had Mascato left over from another customer and tried to stretch it to us. Next we ordered the Octopus special appetizer. 20 minutes later the Manager came to our table and told us another group came in after us and had a set menu order which was a priority of us who came in before. We were upset and rejected any substitute which would have been at our expense. Next we ordered the fish special with spinach. It appeared my wife and I received a young, child's portion of food for $28 each. This restaurant is clearly in decline and screwing over customers to make a few extra dollars in profit. I will not go back and go to another restaurant who respects their customers.

Wonderful place

By yflavio |

Covenient restaurant at Dadeland Mall. Great place to eat italian food with a good price.

Great fried calamari and zuchini and Service.

By 7727 |

Nice menu, good bar service, spacious seating. I like some of the soups as well, especially the one with white beans.

Always tasty, service comes and goes

By threedandj |

The location is really good at the Dadeland Mall- easy access from 88th. i have been a few times, and the service is not consistent. Large servings and very flavorful. The lentil soup is recommended.

Good choice

By Brian I |

Food was very good. Waiter was average. Bit noisy but the experience was very good. This is a must go to if you are in dadeland mall

Wonderful Italian Restaurant

By lisapilorz |

Really great food - so good I stayed for coffee and dessert. Good attentive wait staff. Great breads. I had a chicken dish - well seasoned. Great cappuccino.

Friendly bartender

By LovesWhenServiceGood |

Just went in for a drink and the service from the bar keep was very good. She had what I wanted to drink and was very knowledgable about the mixes. She even ordered a cab for me without no hesitation. It was late and didn't refuse to give service, and I love that. I forgot her name but she worked on the night of the 10th of February. Just want to say thank you to her. And recommend any body to just go in and have a drink and enjoy the ambiance.

Terrible

By nbath |

Had a terrible experience and the Manager Victor Noogira was not very helpful. Would not order from there again.

Consistently Delicious!

By Gilberto O |

If you go shopping at either Dadeland Mall or The Merrick Park in Coral Gables, or just for hearty good meal, go and have a meal at Villagio. We ate last night at the one in Dadeland and, as usual, walked away well satisfied. The ambiance is elegant and modern without been "stuffy". While their menu is extensive, I do recommend the pasta (any one of the several options), the lamb shank (Awesome) and the seafood risotto. Their chocolate lava cake, with vanilla ice cream is sinful! The servings are generous and pricing is fair. I have a soft spot for the location at The Merrick Park in winter when the Miami cool weather combines beautifully with the gorgeous setting of the location. Very strong recommendation.

Not first choice

By Brian I |

We went there late. There were quite a few propel there and we chose to sit outside. The service was good and the food was "nothing special"

Very good food

By truccolo |

We stopped by Villagio to have a good lunch while shopping at Dadeland. They prepared a very good aglio&olio pasta for my son (outside the menu), e great penne for my wife and a linguini with clams for me, also outside the menu. All the courses were quite good, showed character and good seasoning. Considering they are not dishes in their menu, the merit increases. I recommend. Service is very good, friendly and available. Prices are very reasonable for a restaurant so fine.

Highlight of our meals in Miami

By marie p |

We visited the Dadeland Mall which we found expensive but absolutely beautifully landscaped and easy to navigate. Villagio was a little gem in the Mall and we stopped for drinks and a meal which was very very pleasant and delicious.

After work delight

By George B |

The bartender Raul and Joe always treat me like family they are very professional and cordial. I definitely will be back to this restaurant.

A very poor quality pizza

By Alan R |

Having been to The Cheesecake Factory i believed that Villagio (same ownership) would also be top quality. Sadly this was not the case: In fact I had a very unpleasant surprise - my pizza piccante looked strange and gave me a very bad stomach: I telephoned twice and emailed the company but after 4 days there has been no substantive reply: I am well aware of what a pizza piccante should look like and taste like - I lived in Italy for 12 years - say no more: Would I go again - NO

Because lunch was great....we came back for dinner!

By JohnnyCakeEater |

Shopping a large place like the Dadeland Mall can make you hungry! We had such a blast and will go back next time we're in the area. We settled on pizza for lunch on the patio and had fun "people watching". Then because we enjoyed it so much, we came back for salad and the pasta for dinner....delicious, but what made it special fun was a birthday party in the back room with an incredible Mariachi band. The restaurant's COMPLIMENTARY focaccia with fresh tomatoes and basil was outstanding! We enjoyed the wonderful relaxed setting.....but most of all, the wonderful reception we received from the manager, Manny when we first walked in made us feel so welcome.

Not what it used to be.

By Mr. Mir |

I have been going to this restaurant for years, and I have seen how it has changed in a negative way. I am talking about the one located at Dadeland Mall. They serve less food for the same price. I love the Villagio steak salad, and every time I order it they bring me less food. The men’s restroom is horrible, there are even chairs from the restaurant inside. On another hand I want to praise Diana, who is one of the waitresses. She always has a smile to offer, very professional and always ready to help the customer. I hope this restaurant gets better!

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful ...

By SusiefromMiami |

I have eaten at Villagio's in Dadeland on a few occasions ... for both lunch and dinner. The food has always been delicious and well presented, the service and wait staff extremely attentive and helpful. One would think for a "restaurant in a mall" that something would be lacking ... not at Villagio's. I was so satisfied and impressed with my previous trips to this restaurant that I planned our employee Christmas party there for this past Friday night. While it was a little louder than I had hoped (due to the number of other holiday revelers present on a Friday night!) we had a spectacular evening. The manager Bilal made planning the event a smooth and worry-free process. Our waiter David and his sidekick Willie took excellent care of us. They started us off with their Bruschetta and diced tomatoes, and freshly baked bread. There have been raves going around the office about the Risotto di Mare, Veal Tips, and Bistec Fiorentina. I don't think I have heard a single person say their dinner was less than fabulous. And the desert selection at the end of the meal was equally wonderful - particularly the melt in your mouth Creme Brulee. Appetizers, to die for meals, wine selection, desert, service - all for a resonable price ... I would highly recommend this restaurant - and will definitely be back again soon.

Wee Above Average at a Mall

By Drocket |

This "mall" restaurant delivers exceptionally well prepared Italian fare. The mozzarella Burrata is a yummy appetizer for two or three to share. I enjoyed the Tenderloin Diane, very tender and cooked to order. Service is attentive with multiple wait staff tending the table. Pricing is moderate and portions are appropriate.

Relaxing Vacation in Miami

By mcdocs |

Greeted immediately. Maitre D accommodated our sitting on the patio and apologized for making us wait while they dried a table and chairs following a rain; this was promptly done and no apology was needed, of course. We were served some very tasty bread and Flatbread when seated. Our server and supplemental serving staff were prompt, attentive and no-pressure. My wife had eggplant parmisan, I had manicotti and we shared a Caesar salad with chicken added. The eggplant was a bit too salty, but overall the food was wonderful. My wife enjoyed her wine, a Malbec, that was recommended by our server. The outdoor ambience was enjoyable and not what one would expect from a restaurant affiliated with a mall. The service and attention could spoil a person. A little bit of a wait for the bill, but we were just chillin'.

Salmone Marechiare --- Wow!

By travlinskeptic |

Great restaurant - especially considering the location inside the Dadeland mall. The Salmon dish was incredible: cooked to perfection with an amazing sauce that infused the salmon with a creamy taste that did not overpower the natural flavor. Great job!

Excellent food

By elsalili |

The food is exquisite. we were in a group of 9 people who were celebrating, all the dishes were excellent, we tried the lasagna, risotto different types of chicken and all of them were delicious, nice presentation but the service was slow, it could be the hour 10 pm and that all the sudden arrived lots of people at the same time. But beside that we had a great time.

Food good, service spotty

By mwooduk |

Came here with two colleagues for lunch, place was packed and parking even with the valet was a nightmare. It is very loud and noisy inside. We got water and bruschetta right away but getting the server's attention after that was very difficult indeed. Over the course of our two hour lunch we had to wave down 4-5 different people as we could never find our server. Wines by the glass were varied and well priced. I was happy to see a new Pinot Grigio I had not tried before and it was very good. One person in our party had pasta with seafood, another had a sausage and veggie dish, and I had seafood with a tomato based sauce that was very good. After lunch we had cortadito's and cappuccino's and I have to say the food was delightful, the service needs a lot of help as it was chaotic at best. Getting the car back out of the valet afterwards took 30 minutes!!!

Good Italian in a mall

By Mark D |

For an Italian restaurant in a mall, this is quite good. Very modern. Service was prompt. We sat outside and really enjoyed our food

Not bad for a mall restaurant

By JHawk50 |

Villagio was much better than I was expecting for a restaurant attached to a mall. The selections were nice and the food enjoyable. It provided a white-tablecloth environment for a moderate price.

Great experience

By M G |

Went for dinner on a Friday and although people were leaving at around 9:30 PM - 10:00 PM, the service was great. Had their bread with oil and salt, it was a good start. Had house wine for drinks and Long Island iced tea...Excellent. Had Fettuccini alfredo with Salmon and it was great, a big portion of Salmon and the Pennette Harry's bar, which was also fantastic! Tiramisu for dessert was good. The waitress was excellent and everybody was filling up our glasses of water and were attentive to our needs. Went back some days later for pickup and ordered the Pennette again and Spaguetti Alla Bolognese and it was good...The waitress saw us and remembered us and she said hello... Good deal.

Great Italian food In Dadeland mall

By SIBARITA0305 |

Attentive service. Good pasta and gnocci . Great thin crust pizza (try the Ortelana ). Nice prosseco by the glass. Very good panna cotta for dessert

Good food and service, to match

By MIAMISHEILA |

Located in Dadeland, you can dine inside or outside.Bruschetta with flatbread and crusty bread are free starters. Then we enjoyed Caesar salad (a large one is big enough for 3 people), spaghetti with meatballs, salmon franchise, and veal with capers and lemon sauce. Portions were large and delicious. Entrees came with pasta and marinara sauce. NY cheesecake for dessert was excellent. Service was friendly and got every order correct. There is plenty of parking in shopping center. NOTE:Restaurant charges extra if you deviate- such as whole wheat or gluten free pasta, bolognese instead of marinara sauce on side dish entree accompaniments, etc. NOTE:There are white tablecloths on each table. My only objection was that after using silverware for salads or bruschetta, when your next course came, they placed the same used silverware back on the clean tablecloth, instead of replacing the utensils.A fine restaurant should never do that.

Great Italian food at Dadeland Mall

By SIBARITA0305 |

Pasta is great here. Service very attentive. First they bring you a very nice focaccia. We had very nice manicoti, linguini scampi and penne Harry's bar.

Not as good as Merrick Park, but still OK

By ValVil |

We've been to a number of restaurants in this chain and this week we stopped at this location for the first time having dined at Merrick Park last week. Very good food, but A/C was too cold (freezing on a rainy day!) and bread not as fresh. Even with those negatives, we still recommend this restaurant.

Hold on to your Plates !!!!!!!!!

This was a second visit for us on a return trip to Miami, we were so looking forward to a meal here as we have really enjoyed our first visit. We were seated quickly and our drinks order taken. We were brought complimentary bread and bruchetta which was a really nice touch but this was where the problem started. As we sat enjoying this and whilst still eating the waiters came and cleared the plates taking the bread with them !!!. We brought this to the attention of the waiter who brought more bread only for the same thing to happen to a different member of our party. When the food came it was fine, we were laughing and joking about holding on to the plates, that was until i discovered what looked like a cocktail stick in my Lasagna. We advised the server who brought the manager to our table, he said it was a rosemary stick and that they had problems with this previously. To be fair the manager asked if I wanted another meal but I could not face it at this point, two of my fellow diners also were put off by this. The manager removed my meal from the bill and offered coffee or desert but we could not face this by then. Disappointed this visit which was such a shame as we really enjoyed our first visit

Such good food!

By MyrtleAlice |

I had scallops, mushrooms and green peas in a garlic cream sauce over penne that was so light and creamy, just delicious. The bruschetta was great, as was my friends pumpkin ravioli. This was my first time trying profiteroles for dessert, and they were AMAZING!

Nice food

There was a good choice of fresh food. The service was professional and friendly. It was good value for the $

Not much to choose from

The menu is disappointing, however, the appetizer I choose was a nice portion, and cooked perfectly.

Good Italian chain

Located away from the center of Dadeland's frenetic shopping pace, Villagio offers a pleasant place to recover/regroup. The snapper Villagio and linguini bucanieri were excellent, and the size of each entree potion would have satisfied any University of Miami linesman's appetite. The wine list is diverse and reasonably priced.

Consistently Great!!!!

By Euro T |

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. This restaurant is my first stop upon arriving in Miami. Great food, wonderful customer service, great pours of wine and just enjoyable!! Everything is first class. In addition, the manager, Jonathan, made sure that all customers were satisfied and visited all the tables. We had the risotto and pasta and the entrees are exactly as described. Treat yourself to a great experience! I will always return. Thank you, Jonathan and Cash for a lovely dining experience.

Lots of variety if you love pasta

Great place to eat in Dadeland mall with a nice patio area. Several pasta dishes to choose from. The wait staff was excellent- very attentive to our group. The bruschetta is also delicious. It would be great if they offered a children's menu.

Good Italian Restaurant

If you visit the Dadeland Mall and you like italian cuisine, this is the place. Is the only restaurant that has good service and list of wines in the Dadeland Mall in Kendall

Excelent Restaurant for a Business Dinner

By David D |

We had a business dinner with seven people and the staff at Villagio made it a fantastic experience. They have an extensive wine list and a wonderful selection of Italian classics. I had the Salmone Alla Livornese which was cooked perfectly rare and was delicious. Our server was very patient with our group and we didn't feel the least bit rushed, in fact we were there for almost four hours. If you want to impress your clients Villagio is a great choice in the Dadeland area.

Filling meal good quality fine service

Graduation luncheon with 20 persons. Very smooth and extremely polite and accomodating waiters. One minor negative personal preference. Don't decorate food with bits of cilantro, ubiquitous in south florida. There is a percentage of the pollution which abhors it. I wiped it off. Use parsley instead. Still decorative and not as noxious. I should have known better to ask.

This restaurant closed years ago. The location is now the new Apple store.

By Greg J |

Closed permanently. It is now the Apple store. The restaurant was quite good. It had good bar food and bar service and had good business but it closed before the COVID situation (maybe 2018-2019?).

A very nice experience

On a recent getaway trip to Miami we eat twice at Villagio's, while it is located in a mall (Dadeland) we found it to be a very nice experience. A very pleasant open airy atmosphere with a very friendly staff. We had the same waitress both nights (sorry we don't remember her name) she was attentive & fun. The menu offers a wide variety of Italian items as well as nightly specials, the portions are large, plenty of bread and good salads. We will visit the restaurant on our next visit to Miami (November).

Great Italian Food

By Ana V |

Excellent Italian food. Surprised a mall would have a restaurant of this quality. The Manicotti was incredible and the Creme Brulee was one of the best I have ever had.

solid restaurant at mall and beats franchise atmosphere of cheesecake factory

By Fjbsnr1 |

Enjoyed lunch, very well prepared and good condements. The serviers were a little inexperienced and distracted, but it was worth it. we will go back. I had a tuna salad and other guests had chicken parmagian, which was acceptable but too much cheese. bread before the meal was delicious.

Just perfect

Surprisingly great service in the middle of a shoping mall. Not very fast, but the food is outstanding. As a fan of annual Rome holidays I know what I am talking about!

Very elegant place, amazing and tasty Italian food

The restaurant is worst than a zero

By Captain Kirk C |

The restaurant is worst than a zero There is nothing more I hate than restaurants the thrive on people dining on disgusting food just to be seen and to say, we have eaten at .... SERVICE One of the managers was our server and she was so incompetent and inept it was ridiculous. She never asked for our drink order so we ordered dinner and drinks at the same time. 20 minutes later we had to ask one of the girls that clean the tables for our drinks and she went to get them. The manager never ever came back to ask for refills or never once came back to the table to ask how anything was. We had to serve water to ourself many times and had to get dessert menus ourself. She was in fact the worst server we have ever had in a restaurant, even McDonalds gives better customer service. FOOD Steak with mushroom and sauce The steak was still hard and frozen on the plate. I should have known not to even taste the steak as the steak knife we had to ask for could barely cut the steak. Once we tasted the steak, we almost threw up. The steak was supposed to be medium, but the steak was bloody red, hard and cold. DISGUSTING. Meat pizza The pizza was the SOGGIEST and GREASIEST pizza we have ever had. The frozen pizza from any supermarket is a 10 compared to the pizza at the restaurant. Caesar salad with chicken The Caesar dressing was very sour and tasted only like mayonnaise, it was pretty bad. NY Cheese Cake Once we tasted the cheese cake we had to ask which supermarket they got it from as all the supermarkets we know have better cheese cake. Tiramisu The absolute worst tiramisu we have ever had it so was so BITTER and DISGUSTING we could not eat it. We have had real tiramisu in Italy and this was by far the worst we have ever had. Please go to this restaurant if you want to be seen and tell your fancy friends you have been there and have WORST SERVICE EVER with the MOST DISGUSTING and OVERPRICED FOOD.

There's a lot of choice at Sawgrass but we really wanted to avoid a food court type restaurant. Helpful staff, good food, and great decor inside (impressive dining room) and great al fresco eating outside. Prices not too crazy and nice amuse bouche so overall very happy we had lunch here

Surprisingly good tilapia

By mariana |

The pizza is awesome, but being an italia. Restaurant I would have not imagined how good the fish was. My husband ordered the capresse pizza, which was DELICIOUS. And I ordered the grilled tilapia. It was super fresh and very very well done! I've been there before and the pasta is also very good, they serve it al dente (how it's supposed to be) and the choice of sauces is big and they are all great.

Sad news because the Villagio will close for good on April 21, 2019.

Rumor has it that their lease either ran out or they did not renew the lease. I also heard that the apple store will take over the area and increase the size. My wife and I have been here many times and really enjoyed their pasta e faggioli soup and calamari fritte e zucchine. We have met many good employees here and I hope that they all find new jobs soon after the place closes.

Great neighborhood restaurant

By kdmia |

We visit this restaurant all the time because of the great service and super friendly staff. It is the kind of place where you truly feel welcomed. I agree that the noise level inside can sometimes be too loud, if it is very busy. However, at off times it is perfectly fine and outside is always pleasant. The prices are quite reasonable and they start you off with complimentary wedges of pita-type breads with delicious tomato toppings so you always feel like you ordered a small appetizer for the table. We go a few times a month because of its convenient location and value and staff.
