Stopped here after arriving in Austin. Cute decor inside & out. Big trees shade the backyard patio & dining space. Lots of great salad & sandwich options. Fresh & delicious! It was hard to decide which salad to pick. We chose the Asian chopped, the Pepita & the Cobb. Loved them all! Definitely a perfect lunch spot.

Ordered seafood gumbo and dad ordered the soup of the day - pork posole. Also ordered appetizer that has cabbage in it. Seafood gumbo was just okay but dad liked his soup! Cabbage appetizer was good .very good actually !

Their kale fritters are awesome with a to die for sauce. The salads are AMAZING and the protein selection it tops! I wish we had one in upstate NY and highly recommend to anyone!

I describe the food served as eclectic. I ate lunch there several times with friends. We shared and tasted each other's selection and everything was wonderful. The drinks were also very tasty. Truly recommended. I

Everything our table of 6 ordered was top notch. Gumbo, kale nachos, cobb salad, tuna steak, Reuben sandwich, Turkey melt...all great. The server made right on a couple of mixups. I will go back and try new dishes next time in Austin.

We started with cocktails and the fabulous Kale Fritters! They were delicious with the spicy mayo. I had the Greek Salad with Grilled Shrimp. Others in my group had the Caesar, The Duck Confit, and The Beet. They have different protein additions you can add on. Our group all enjoyed their meal. We ended with a flour-less Chocolate Torte and Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream. We had a friendly and helpful waiter. My only complaint was it was not an ideal room for conversation. High ceilings and hard floors made it pretty noisy. But I will definitely go back.

I loved the Asian Chopped salad with chicken at Vinaigrette. It was light but filling--perfect for a summer lunch. The ingredients all seemed very fresh and well-prepared. I will definitely be back and next time I hope to try some of their drinks. They looked fun and delicious!

We recently spent a little over a week in the area while some work was being done on our house. After having dinner and splitting the most amazing Cobb Salad with seared tuna steak in it, we came back the following evening to have the same thing with seared scallops this time. The mix of veggies and dressing was just perfect. The salad was huge and they were glad to split it into two bowls for us. It was definitely one of the best salads we've ever eaten. The restaurant is casual and comfortable. Service is excellent and we'll definitely be back again. Well worth a visit!

I'm not a salad fan at all generally but the Cobb Salad I had here was unbelievable. I was really impressed, delicious and a good portion size. I personally wasn't a fan of the Turmeric smoothie but you kind of get what you'd expect from it. I'd highly recommend this place!

We entertained long time friends for lunch. The indoor seating was quite noisy with a full restaurant at lunchtime. However we were able to obtain a shaded, quiet table outside in a very pleasant garden setting. The food was excellent. Our guests enjoyed tuna melts with side salads. My wife raved over her Cobb Salad while I had a delicious Caesar. We definitely will return. The service was excellent and we enjoyed a very leisurely chat with these friends from Michigan.

We sat outside on a cool fall day. The outdoor seating is beautiful with a light funky vibe. Nice music pumping through as we sat under the oldest Live Oak in Austin. I had the tuna melt and my wife had the Please to meet you salad. Both were excellent. I would recommend checking it out. It is well worth it.

If you are looking for a delicious, healthy lunch option, this is your place! So many innovative salad options to choose from!

I would like to go to this restaurant every week. It has so many options and I want to try them all. When I traveled thru Santa Fe recently, i didn't have a chance to eat here, so I was very happy to see one in Austin when I was visiting. It's a very open atmosphere, with bright vertical subway tile, and a wonderful wait staff. It is just the style and verve I like, with fresh crisp lettuces and delicious dressings.

I'm a big fan of the Cobb salad. It's filled with just the right amount of bacon, chicken, egg and blue cheese tossed in a light vinaigrette. The atmosphere is bright and airy. And typically busy. Be ready to wait at weekday lunch time.

Having eaten at both the NM locations, as we always try to make a point of eating there on our drives through, were excited to hear they were opening an Austin location. This did not disappoint. Both my wife and I had salads which were wonderful. I added scallops to my Caesar salad and they were cooked to perfection. Service was great, location beautiful, though the restaurant may get a little noisy when full.

Quite possibly one of the best sandwiches I had in my life, I had the veggie one! As always in Austin, or anyway in the states, service absolutely fantastic! I'm not really a foodie so I leave most of my review based on service and drinks. The cocktails really let the place down and we ordered three between us. I ordered the spicy cocktail it was really Bland and not spicy at all. The waitress kindly brought me another one supposedly extra spicy - and it tasted exactly the same. The other cocktail I had was also really boring and Bland and very ice heavy. Had the cocktails been up to par, this would easily have been a five star place to me. I would come back for the sandwich and the service ❤️

Vinaigrette is located in the old TreeHouse Italian restaurant on College Avenue. Beet salad was a highlight as well as the Reuben sandwich. There is indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff is friendly and service was excellent.

Last Saturday, my husband and I went to Vinaigrette in downtown Austin for lunch. What a lovely restaurant. Since it was a beautiful day, the restaurant was bright and spacious...there was ample seating outside as well under an age old tree (it reminded me of this lovely cafe that we had visited in Key West, Florida some years back). We probably waited for about 10 minutes before we were seated. The green smoothie with a good dose of ginger, omega salad and veggie sandwich that we had ordered were excellent and mouth watering to say the least. The food came to our table in no time and it was so fresh and tasty. Just as we were finishing our salad and sandwich, the smoothie came. It was good timing because we enjoyed the food first and then were able to enjoy the drink. All in all, a lovely experience and definitely a place we will go again. After a long while, it was so good to go to a restaurant with great ambiance and excellent food and service in the Austin area.

I love the Omega salad and other menu items. But really, I would like some type of carb side. Italian bread goes well with salads (hint, hint). Though it's in a student area, it's priced a notch too high for them. I find the place a bit pretentious, but just go to read a book most of the time.

Such a neat/trendy place. The outdoor seating area is situated under a Giant Old oak tree. Very nice. Plenty of indoor seating as well. The food selection is good, especially if you like to go for the healthier, or at least sounds healthier, food. You can have a beer or cocktail if you'd like too. I've been there twice, the service has been excellent, both indoors and outdoors. The price is maybe a bit higher than other places for similar food, but so far, I think it's worth it. Check this one out.

This new farm-to-table entree salad place is soooooo good! I was blown away by the Texas Peach burrata salad - sliced peaches, arugula, mixed greens, corn, prosciutto and burrata cheese with a honey-shallot dressing. To. Die. For. Locally sourced ingredients, friendly service and an open and sunny venue make for a delightful experience!

Great New style restaurant with ultra modern decor. We all ordered salads and had the Apple Cheddar Cop, the Nut Pear-Fessor with Pork Tenderloin and a Cobb salad. They were all large portions and delicious. I started with a cup of Mushroom Stew which is a stand out and my favorite..hardly ever prepared at any restaurant!! Thay also have a good selection of beer. The service was excellent.

we had the blackbean and kale nachos - very good. the chop chop was good and more than a full dinner. the beet salad was good; although a little more dressing than our liking.

Maybe the best salad (the Cherry Tart) I've ever eaten. Fresh ingredients, beautiful presentation, great service and the white/orange decor is airy and bright. They have a nice bar area and beautiful, large patio.

Beet salad with artichoke hearts was amazing. Beautiful inside. Great patio. Healthy and tasty. Sandwiches available too. Love this place.

Have had a couple of decent meals here without any issues. Came in on a Wednesday evening and after waiting 25 minutes for a take out salad I received the salad in the photo below. The salads main meat ingredient was prosciutto, which did not appear anywhere in the salad. The salad also had a combined 15 kernels of corn, and was 14 dollars. I am absolutely shocked that his happened to me and wouldn't wish this salad on even my worst enemy.

Really, really good salads. Full bar, great beer list and excellent fresh produce on the salad. Nice setting to eat outside when the weather is nice.

We were first introduced to this brand in Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico. While they don't have specials yet, we thoroughly enjoyed our dishes. Our vegetarian friend loved it and we enjoyed trying some new dishes. Check out the photos, but the Reuben was especially good, the cherry salad was great, and the other dishes we got were just fantastic.

Visited Vinaigrette for the first time as the line was too big last time we tried. Nice decor but very noisy and this was Monday lunchtime! However the food is amazing and the non alcoholic drink. You get used to the noise but would not like to be here with a large group of people. Would be better to sit outside perhaps?Loved the cherry salad and turmeric/carrot drink.

I came here a year ago and it was amazing. I met my friend here for lunch with our 2 daughters ( both 8 years old). This place is NOT welcoming of children, the patrons with dogs were more accepted than us. The staff was rolling their eyes, and one server came over and acted disgusted that our kids had jumped on a 4 foot wall. We felt so unwelcome to be here and our girls are well behaved but they are also 8. I guess we should make children be seen and not heard. My daughters $13 sandwich came with a salad and when I asked about it, our served said we could add it...as in pay an additional charge ( the menu clearly states that a salad is included). I had to ask about it being included before she mentioned that it came with one ( not sure why this was even an issue). Food was good, servers could work on their attitude around kids- they are in the service industry. Won’t be going back.

Love, love, love Vinaigrette. The salads are superb. There are some great non-alcoholic drinks as well as bar drinks. The shaded, tree covered patio is divine. Service is generally decent, but can be slow when the restaurant is busy.

I've seen this cool looking place several times as I've driven down Congress and made it a point to go there on the eve of my birthday. I LOVED everything about the the appearance. It was modern and still had a homie feel to it. The outside patio was gorgeous as well. If you are looking to hist and event, I would definitely check out this spot. But I can't eat decor.....so the food. I will admit, I had no clue what Vinaigrette was about until I looked it up before we arrived. I like to form my own opinion, so I try not to read reviews. The presentation of the food and drinks were amazing, but I could have stayed home and made my own salad. We started with the Mac and Cheese and I was not impressed. It had no flavor and was plain blah. Nothing spectacular about, I think a box Mac and Cheese tasted better. After that we ordered our meals. My son had the bowl of Gumbo, but no Shrimp was in his bowl. The salads don't come with any form of meat and it's extra. The salads start at around $11 then you have your choice of meats. I had an interesting drink, the Purple Russian. It had a gritty taste to it, but I guess it's because the drinks are made with veggies as well. Without making this much longer, I wouldn't recommend this place for families. If you love salads, and eclectic drinks, then this is the place for you. It's not bad at all, just not what I was expecting

Fresh food airy atmosphere generous portions good playlist Valeri was a friendly helpful server Great drinks

Great day outdoors! Split Pea soup great. Large portions. Good service. Love the huge oak tree in outdoor seating area!

Delicious food and great service. Enjoyed lunch with the seasonal beverage and a dessert. Highly recommend this spot. Outdoors, you can eat under a magnificent oak. Indoors was filled with energy and fun colors.

Visited Feb 16, 2025 I ordered the “soup of the day” which was a mushroom soup. My husband ordered the menu soup- “mushroom stew” We both agreed that the soup of the day was amazing (much tastier than the Mushroom stew). We got the Cobb salad (dressing on the side ) and the mushroom omelette (added spinach). We shared and agreed both were great! Will return and will recommend to friends.

Kale & Black Bean Nachos - delicious! Here's why. The kale is very finely chopped and marinated overnight in lime juice and cumin. We also enjoyed a homemade strawberry, lemon and rosemary soda. Don't miss the carrot cake. Again it was different, not so sweet, but still very tasty. What keeps it from being rated excellent is the noise level, which unfortunately seems to be the standard these days for the "In" spots.

My wife and I had lunch here and found the food excellent with very good service. The gumbo was outstanding. We each had the cob salad

The nachos were PHENOMENAL. The kale was so fresh and the black beans were perfect! The environment was conducive to an enerjetic conversation.

Love this place! We've gone there twice already and we'll keep coming back until we try everything on the menu Their thing is fancy, funky salads. They have a wide variety and you can mix it with different types of protein (fish, scallops, chicken, steak). This time I got the "Eat Your Peas" salad and it was delicious. Their cocktails and desserts are not shabby either. Great outdoor space. A huge live oak tree providing lots of shade. Not much you can do about the humidity in the summer though It's off of Congress Ave but not the super busy parts so lots of parking available (including on the street right in front). This place is great for those hot summer days, or when you feel like eating something lighter.

This is one of our new local favorites. The setting is fantastic with large, bright indoor setting with light woods, cool pea green wall tiles. Even better is the outdoor patio set under a huge old oak tree. The food is incredibly fresh with mostly creative salads, sandwiches, and soup. They also have an incredible bar with both non alcoholic and alcoholic cocktails. My personal favorite is the cuban sandwich....to die for. It also comes with a side of salad with my favorite being the caesar with lightly roasted lettuce. The carrot cake is a great way to finish.

Absolutely loved this place! So nice to indulge and feel completely guilt free. Service is great, super friendly staff. Beautiful, large outdoor space. Salads were generously portioned and had tons of flavor - we got The Nutty-Pearfessor and Eat Your Peas with lemon herb chicken, and an order of the Kale Fritters, which were so scrumptious and delicious I can eat those everyday (no joke). Hours later we were still full & satisfied. Great selection of non-alcoholic beverages and tonics, as well as cocktails and wine. Will definitely be back!

This restaurant is perfect if you want to eat and drink, enjoy some fresh air and feel good about what you just put into your body !!! A meal here is truly energizing ! I had "The Beet Goes On" --- the best Beet Salad I've ever had. The portion was very generous and ALL ingredients and dressing were tasty. The "non-alcoholic" drinks are creative and the combinations taste as if you've got a top notch cocktail there ! The shady patio and giant oak tree provide a soothing atmosphere. We went for lunch and would have gone back for dinner if we hadn't left town that same day ! I'm hoping to make it back to Austin soon so I can return to Vinaigrette !

It’s challenging to decide on which salad to order - many varieties! The sandwiches looked delicious too as I gazed at my neighbor’s plate...and they come with a selection of side salads too. Bonus! The mushroom soup was miso-based with 5 varieties of mushroom - delicious. Service was efficient and unobtrusive. Very pleasant inside and lots of outside seating under a massive Live Oak tree canopy. I’ll be back!

Once you eat here good luck not coming back every week or even twice a week...it's gonna get you! If you don't like salads you're totally golden because you've never eaten a salad like this before- conversion guaranteed. They are healthy and light while being decadent, not because of calories but because of flavor composition. If you must eat a not salad at a salad place they also have sandwiches but c'mon...salad it up The atmosphere is like what a design genie would grant if you wished for the best place to eat a salad in the world (fresh, hip but comfortable, tons of natural light, fresh florals, soothing wall colors). It's a dream Fun tip is that they have a huge array of non alcoholic tinctures and tonics that are delicious and not overly sweet. I took some friends, some of who are pregnant, out and the ladies who didn't drink were thrilled to find specialty libations they could enjoy. The pepita salad and the tuna tuna are my favorite but I could eat all of them all the time always. Get the tumeric something or another NA drink and you'll be healthy and happy and fizzy all over. Enoy!

A great respite from the less healthy Austin food fare. Great salads, soups and really interesting apps.

Yummy! Went to this restaurant after hearing about it on a t.v. show and it didn't disappoint. I had the salad with blue cheese; they changed out the bitter arugula for other greens and it was delicious! I also had the jalapeno margarita; very tiny for the price, I must say, so I would not recommend this drink. We sat outside, which was very nice; not too hot in Austin yet.

Went there late Sunday evening, 1st time, pleasantly surprised with the neat options here. From salads to sandwiches and good choices of wine and beers as well. Went for the Salacho, very tasty, wife had spinach-mushroom which she enjoyed very well. If you want to add protein (ie meat/fish/seafood) recommendation given. Daughter shared an asian chopped salad, had the mushroom stew as well which was too strong in taste for her taste buds, finished that as well and liked it. Will go back

No-regrets-celebrating with an innovative drink menu like no other, and lovely healthy meals. Sitting out under the enormous oak tree completes this earth-mama experience!

This place is all about fresh salads but they also have soups and sandwiches. They have a farm in Bastrop where they get their greenery. The space is open and fresh and inviting. They still have the ENORMOUS oak in the garden. There is plenty of parking in the lot as well as on the streets. The salads are huge and there's not a side option if you get the soup. If you get a sandwich there are 3 side salad options. However when my friend and I shared a salad to go with our soup orders the waitress split the order and served it to us on separate bowls. They discourage getting the dressing on the side as they feel it's part of the salad flavor profile. Their drinks are amazing though! They are based on the book The Drunken Botanist and are delicious. We tried several and like them all! They have virgin options too.

This sweet location with giant iconic oak tree outside on the lovely patio dining section, has had many restaurants come and go ... and Vinaigrette finally got it right! Farm to table goodness specializing in creative salad combos (with or without animal protein) plus fresh soups and some sandwiches (for those who like to eat with their hands). Don't let the salad specialty make you think it's just for lunch - it's also a great casual dinner place with unique craft cocktails.

I was so happy to hear that Vinaigrette opened in Austin. I frequent the one in Santa Fe when I am there. The ambiance is vibrant and airy. The menu consists of a variety of salad combinations which are perfectly orchestrated to which you can add a "protein." There are also some other menu items, sandwiches, some appetizers on the bar menu and some hearty sides. They have a nice healthy drink menu with several interesting combinations. My favorite is the All Kale Caesar with seared tuna, but the other salads that I have had are delicious. There is a great outdoor seating area and a large patio- great for kids to run around. Most importantly- when I leave after my meals here- I feel energized and great.

Enjoyed lunch here last weekend with 10 others. Attentive, friendly service, and our server new the menu well and seemed to enjoy working at this place. Sat outside, which I highly recommend, as I think it is a much better experience than inside. Interesting menu, varied salads, but also protein offerings, sides, and appetizers. I had a chopped salad, that I think was called something like Chop Chop, that had salami and chicken. Very tasty, perhaps a tad too much dressing. Everyone’s entrées looked appetizing. Started with grilled artichokes. A small portion, but very tasty. Frankly, all of the food looked very good and everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. Only negative ... I had a Kale Mary, Vinaigrette’s spin on a Bloody Mary I assume, which was just OK, underwhelming in terms of flavor, without a spicy zing. I would not order it again.

This restaurant is BEAUTIFUL! The design is airy and spacious, and it's almost worth going here just to see the premises. The food and drink was good and very fresh. I shared the French Frisee salad and the Asian chopped salad (with the grilled pork tenderloin added), and both were good. The egg on the French frisee salad was beautifully cooked and the greens were delicately dressed. However, the Asian chopped salad was disappointing. It lacked flavor, and did not at all match the menu description of "zingy." The whole thing seemed under-seasoned and under-dressed. Likewise, the grilled pork tenderloin was very bland. That cut of meat needs aggressive seasoning or marinade, and this didn't have either. The appetizers were very good: I highly recommend the kale fritters and the miniature tacos with the jicama taco shell--those were very inventive and tasty. Do not pass on dessert; the flourless chocolate torte was one of the best desserts I've had in Austin. The best part of the entire experience is that there is ample parking, and in South Austin that's a rarity.

Birthday dinner for my adult daughter. Sat outside in the yard. Nice sitting under a gigantic oak tree. Wonderful appetizers, including the sautéed kale, duck tacos, kale and being nachos, and some type of fritter which was delicious. My bowl of gumbo was really nicely done And the grilled artichokes were delicious. Everyone loved their food. Service was very good also. Extremely diversified menu with salads, all types of protein add-ons, and a wonderful choice of appetizers. Really enjoyed our meal.

We visited on a week night and the place wasn't very crowded. Our server, S-----e, had water on the table within seconds of our arrival, was attentive, helpful in answering our questions, and took our order when we were ready. We ordered a Bowl Of Gumbo, a Cobb salad and a Greek salad. The place is unique due to the fact that its really a salad place with a few soups and sandwiches. Structure seems new and is out fitted some what "Austin Weird", but nice. The food came rather quickly since they weren't very busy. The Cobb was one of the best I've every had, the Greek looked delicious and my wife indicated it was. The Gumbo needed a bit more kick but was fine after adding some server provided hot sauce. The food gets a 5, the service was superb and gets a 5 as well, the uniqueness of the building a 5 as well. But, the overall experience gets a 4 because of the noise. On a week day night with many tables empty the noise was deafening. I'm afraid to try them at lunch when I'm guessing they are generally full...

How can they make kale taste so good?! Find out by ordering kale and black bean nachos. I love having this restaurant so close by! Every salad is a work of art. It’s not too pricey either.

This restaurant is at the unofficial end of "So-Co" (a.k.a South Congress Ave) sort of tucked away behind a lovely little park. Loads of free parking, good service, the food came quickly. My dining partner had a quite good lunch, and I had a pretty yummy salad (pears!). Even though there were quite a few folks there, the place still seemed quiet, a distinct plus.

When you want something lighter, Vinaigrette hits the spot. The salads are delicious and inventive, the drinks even more so. We ate here twice (my wife, three times) and always had great food and service.

Been coming here for a couple years. The food has always been really good - consistently so. That's the good news. However... I came for a to go order tonight. Apparently they have added an automatic gratuity of 15% to any order over $100. Not crazy about that (note that whenever I eat in, I always tip at least 20%), but hey - I guess that's their new policy. My order came to $98 and some change. With their automatic kitchen surcharge of about $2, that brought my total to $100 and some change, which brought my total to $115 and some change. What??? How is an added charge (which I have no issue with, btw) factored in a to go order to bring a total to the point that an automatic gratuity is incurred?? Again, if I was eating in the restaurant, where I was being served, I have no issue at all. But a to-go order? I was told that "it's their policy". Well, my policy is that I don't patronize places that I believe are attempting to nickel and dime me. This experience tonight genuinely makes me never want to come here ever again. It's a shame, because I really liked this place.

We were in Austin for a week and came upon this place by chance. Being from Europe we tend to find American food, generally, over salted, over sweetened and over fussy - too many things on the plate. This place didn't do any of these things. They also know how to prepare salads properly. The ingredients are thoroughly tossed in the dressing prior to serving. Too often in American restaurants we find they give you a massive plate of salad ingredients - far too much for the plate - and then a small bowl of some kind of unidentifiable gooey dressing which I suppose you are meant to spoon on as required. We sat outside under a massive tree in beautiful conditions - even a slight smattering of light rain didn't diminish the experience one bit. Our waiter was pleasant and helpful and, being in Austin, a little quirky. I had chicken and salad - quite basic and definitely not haute cuisine but real food, properly prepared. Highly recommended.

Nicely designed space but the noise level was super high. The wait staff didn't seem to care. Not exactly surly but certainly not friendly or helpful. It took several tries to get lemon for my water. I had the tuna tuna salad which was average at best. I had no idea it would have canned tuna. I didn't think to ask. The other people's salads looked much better and they did enjoy them. And I must say the drinks looked great. But I was expecting more in the way of food and service. And the noise level made it impossible to relax and chat so we moved outside and sat under a tree that dropped ants on us occasionally. We were there at high noon on a 90 degree day but it was better than sitting in the noise inside. The patio with the big tree are certainly lovely though.

Awesome healthy food and salads and craft beers. Loved eating here and just hanging out the terrace under the giant oak tree.

We had dined at Vinaigrette in Santa Fe last summer and loved it. This location was just so-so and a bit disappointing. I had the mushroom stew, which was good, but the side order of sautéed vegetables was too spicy for me to eat (they weren’t listed as being spicy). The others in my party were also a bit disappointed in their selections as well. The service was slow too so the whole experience was just average, something we don’t expect from Vinaigrette.

The food is fabulous but the noise level is almost deafening. If the weather is nice grab a table outside under the trees so you can actually have a conversation. I think fall weather would be perfect for brunch in the garden area. I love the fact that this is a SoCo restaurant and they have parking! Met a friend here and we both had the Nutty Pear-Fessor Salad. Delicious with grilled Bosc pears, bacon crumbles, toasted pecan halves and a tangy Maytag blue cheese served with tender greens and ruby port vinaigrette. What a lovely salt/sweet "pearing". The produce is super fresh and comes from the owner's Bastrop Farm. You have the option of a protein addition and the suggested was Grilled Flank Steak. I ate it naked (meaning without a protein!) and my clever friend added Panko Crusted Goat Cheese Balls! Okay, now we are talking!

Most places I go have about 3 choices for a salad. But here there are nearly 20! Today I had the Eat Your Peas salad and it was very ample and quite tasty!! Love sitting out under the tree and looking at the beautiful gardens. Inside is too noisy - but pretty to look at with lots of glass, concrete and tile. Park in the covered parking behind the restaurant.

Food so delicious and service still delightful! Atmosphere inside is relaxed and open. Was here a few months ago and sat outside under the beautiful tree. Will be back!!!

On a sunny March Tuesday, while our former home base in upstate New York was being buried under two feet of snow, Madame and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Vinaigrette, outdoors under a gigantic old live oak. The menu is witty ("All Kale Caesar!") and abounds with tempting choices. Service is friendly and quick, prices affordable, and the overall atmosphere is cheerful and relaxed. The building is new (looks as though it was built last week), stylish, and squeaky-clean. (Another plus is that the restaurant is just far enough out in the South Congress corridor that it wasn't overrun by SXSW crowds...). Madame went for an Asian salad with flank steak added; mine was the "Nutty Pearfessor" (there they go, again...), and both were terrific. The Asian offering had Thai-style rice noodles on top of a crispy salad with a tasty dressing; the steak (I had some too) was first-rate. My "Pearfessor" had roasted pears, toasted pecan halves, Maytag blue cheese and a port vinaigrette, and it all worked together perfectly. Carnivores (of whose number I am a fully paid-up member) will find lots to like too; my initial order was for a short rib sandwich, but it was sold out (next time...), and the Reubens and other sandwiches looked really good too as they went by our table. A couple of glasses of rose wine and a shared slice of carrot cake only added to the pleasure. Vinaigrette is on a little side street just east of South Congress; there is quite a lot of parking out back, and if you're lucky some street parking too. All the varieties of plastic seem to be gladly received. In all, there is a great deal to like at Vinaigrette, and nothing at all to disappoint; we'll definitely be back.

This has quickly become one of my very favorite places - for either lunch or dinner or a drink at the bar! The unique menu and creative cocktails are fabulous, and the location is amazing!

Had to get a meal that didn't include BBQ for the wife. Had an awesome lunch. Salads were were great, nice combo of ingredients. I had the pea salad which was delicious. Their juice drinks are also incredible. Clean bright interior and awesome service.

Perfect hidden gem in Austin. I found this place because we visited Vinaigrette in Santa Fe. My husband is vegetarian and this place hits all the right check boxes. Quiet. Fresh . Great outdoor and indoor dining. Great food and drinks.

Had an enjoyable lunch and the ambiance under the oak tree was pleasant. The service was prompt and the fresh food, delicious. The salad, vinaigrette dressing and chicken were was well portioned and phenomenal. Would return

Our Airbnb was directly across the street and we didn’t notice this place until our last night. So we went for lunch the day we left town. It was delicious and we wish we’d known about it earlier in our trip. Good healthy options, lots of flavor, beautiful dining environment. We sat outside under the tree which is so pretty. Parking is easy if needed.

I can't say enough about this restaurant. The food was fabulous and the service was great. I would highly recommend vinaigrette to anyone looking for something different and spectacular for dinner

One of my favorite places for lunch in Austin! Great place to meet with friends or to go solo. Love the Kale Fritters and don’t get me started on the seasonal shrub (sweet-tart drink with ACV, fruit and soda water great nonalcoholic drink or you can add liquor). Fantastic salads and seasonal menu. Highly recommend..

So we were looking for a good salad for lunch that was something different. The menu here was great with enough salad choices to make anyone smile, and when they arrived at the table, the presentation was stunning. But then reality returned when I took a bite, and remembered...it’s just a salad. I had the Cherry Tart with grilled chicken. Yes the greens were very fresh and dark. The concept was good, but I was desperately needing more flavor. The chicken was awful. Weird texture like the chicken I had in people's homes on my last trip to Guatemala. The biggest issue here is that the price is outrageous here. $6 to add meat made my salad nearly $20. I realize that’s a typical price for an entre, but not worth it here. I also ordered a $7 side of Mac & Cheese for my grandson. Just to reiterate...SEVEN US dollars ...for a cup of Mac & Cheese. Wow. Wow.

As the name implies, it's all about the salad when you dine here....and it's all excellent. We were in Austin for three nights and liked it so well we ate there twice. They use fresh ingredients, creatively combined to make a pleasurable, tasty, and healthy meal. When you order from a variety of salads, you can also add a protein such as shrimp, chicken, or pork. They also bring out an excellent herb bread with olive oil for dipping. We also tried the mushroom stew which was extremely flavorful and earthy. It hit my craving for mushrooms right on the mark! They also have a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic healthy drinks. We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor seating...modern and comfortable. LGBT, vegan, and gluten-free friendly. Reasonably priced.
Need more
My Greek (cucumber) salad was good, but having more shrimp and lettuce would have been much better. I can't do vinaigrette because they give me migraines; however, the salad was fine without dressing. I just needed more protein as I'm a larger woman. 🤓
