My wife and I decided to have a glass before our flight to Boston. Be sure you download the app before you show up! You get a large sample of wine - their choice - before you order. The service and wine were good. My wife found a couple she wants to find full bottles. Stop by, have a glass - BUT have the APP on your phone!

A bit overpriced, but I really like this place. Service good and fast, great wine selections, and I love the Tuscan Chicken sandwich.

Respite from aggravation of airport. .. traveling is stressful, a glass of wine is a nice stress reliever. Ordered a small pizza - Margherita style & it was very good

I am always happy to visit Vino Volo at SAT, it is a great way to start my journey; food and wine is much better than vip longes. I hope to keep visiting for many years to come.

This is a great place to have a quality glass or flight of wine prior to your flight! Exceptional staff that is knowledgable, friendly and accommodating. If you have anytime or wait prior to boarding your flight, you need to visit, destress and unwind. Your flight home will be a relaxing journey that is if you stay awake. Salute!!

You should definitely visit it if you have time to wait for your flight. If it is your first time try the "Taste three" option of wine, that way you will be able to choose your preferred one. No ice on non alcoholic options, but that is the way it should be isn't it? Miss this restaurant at Terminal C in Newark airport.

I had some time to get a quick bite before my flight and spotted this little place. I was quickly seated and had my order promptly taken and then served. Owing to the efficient service, I had plenty of time to enjoy my food and fine wine.

Vino Velo has amazing food, beyond an amazing wine selection and is a great place to pick up a bottle of wine to enjoy once you get to your destination. While I was there today I was thinking why can't I find a place like this outside the airport?

As mentioned in a previous review, we had eight hours to wait due to delayed flights. So, happily we found Vino Volo for lunch. Service was wonderful and server was happy to share winery recommendations for Napa (our eventual destination). Nice selection of tapas style dishes and a loyalty program we can use in other airport locations! A win for sure.

While a glass of wine seemed like a good idea (and you can't get wine in the sports bars anymore because of Vino Volo - or so we were told), we stopped in Vino Volo. It's an expensive option with very little value. There is a charge to uncork a bottle so you can't even save money by sharing a bottle (I think they said it was $12 on top of the bottle cost.) A small dish of nuts were $4 and olives $5. As the remodeling continues at the airport there will hopefully be better options.

Vino Volo is a good option while waiting for a flight. Very convenient to have this restaurant in such a small airport. They have a very interesting cellar. I strongly suggest the premium samplers from Napa as a good start. That will give you a good option of your next orders depending on your taste. Also an interesting cellar in such a small place.

Excellent idea to have a wine bar inside an airport. I've seen Vino Volo a trillion times passing through terminals....until today I'd never had an interest. Today, I was coming down from. San Antonio high & heading jack to the Midwest; this called for a drink. Vino Volo quenched my thirst for a glass of red & coated my tummy with a delicious little cheese board prepares to perfection with goat, manchego, fig jam, dried berries & nuts. I was able to cop a charge for my mobile device while sitting in peace waiting to board. Located in a small space between TSA & Boarding zone this is the remedy folks. House red Monastrell at $8 a glass...$16 for the full throttle. This experience was enjoyable.

Had a lengthy layover and decided to wander around the terminal. Noticed Vino Volo so decided to stop in rather than waiting at the gate. Great spot to people watch. You can sit and relax while watching your fellow passengers chaotically navigate through security. They had nice selections of wine. If not sure what you are in the mood for you can try a sampler. I had the shades of white, which consisted of a pinot grigio from Italy (fresh mellons and white flowers), a sauvignon blanc from marlborough (grapefruit & herbs), and a chardonnay from napa valley (apple & caramel). Of the three the sauvignon was the best...quite good actually, and the pinot was the worse. In fact I had no more than two sips, which the waitress noticed and subsequently offered me a Greek wine (moscofilero), which was very good. I also had the tuscan chicken sandwich, which was tasty, but quite small. Overall it was a nice light lunch with wine tasting and a great way to spend some time.

After a long week I thought it would be a good idea for a nice dinner while wating at the airport. The wine was good but I know I ordered a glass that was less expensive than what I was charged. I had the grilled chicken salad. The chicken was not grilled and tasted funny. The salad was not very flavor. Next time a stop I may only have a glass of wine and will make sure I'm not over charged!

Stopped in for a wine tasting flight while waiting for a flight. The service was very good, the wines were good. A bit pricey, but it is an airport, everything is a bit pricey!

this is a great place to relax. they have a varied selection of wines from all over the world. plus, they have wonderful snacks to go with it.

If your flight's delayed or you just got to the airport early, this is the place for a getaway. It's a bit small on space so it can be crowded at times but it is worth the wait. The wine selections are brilliant, the sides delicious, and the staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful.

Had a wait at the San Antonio International Airport And decided To stop for a glass of wine and some lunch. Decided on the Carménère that was not stellar but ok and a plate of their Penne and Cheese, that was extremely bland and insipid, still do not know where the cheese was. Asked for salt, pepper and Parm Cheese, but they do not "carry" Parm cheese. Over priced.

Traveling and stopped for a quick glass of wine.Waitress was rude, mean and obnoxious. This is not typical of a Texan, since they are all so friendly..The glass of wine cost me $20.54, just regular wine, and that's what I asked for. DoNOT visit this place!!!

We hung out here waiting on our flight and nice quiet place in what is a usually a noisy place. Grab a glass of wine or a high-end beer (yes they have some of those 2), crack open a book or your laptop, and enjoy the peace.

This chain/franchise seems to get bigger and bigger. First D.C. now San Antonio. Soon it will be all over the country. What a waste of lease space ! While this concept sounds ok - Spanish looking wine/bar with a large selection of wines and some nice appetizers..the execution is just a nuisance. The nuisance is part of the concept of the franchise..so it is not specific to the location. For example..while the food selection looks nice..they are basically overprized appetizer size small bites with little or no flavor. The wine selection looks nice as well. Problem is..the reasonable ones taste pretty bad and you would have to spend 15, 20 USD or more to get a nice glass of wine. Then they offer you all kind of specials. Well - they are really not that special Basically the tasting of 3 glasses of wine which ends up in the average of the individual ones. Or some kind of membership to their wine club. Well that is kind of like buying a timeshare for a AA meeting location. The best thing are their leather sofas...unfortunately the loacation in San Antonio is cramped and doesn't have any of those.

Great selection and a welcome option in a small airport. Recommendations from server were spot on. Cheese board bigger than most. Will definetly seek this out in other airports.

Okay folks, this is an airport and there are not a lot of options that I would normally consider. Having said that, let's focus on the positive--there is a wine bar in the airport, and guys in case you didn't notice this is a chick magnet. One of the few times I have sat at the bar with all business women. Music is nice and the art is pleasant. My only wish is that it would be open for the early morning flights. Will I join the club? Probably not, but I can think of a lot worse ways to wait for a plane.

If you have time to kill before a flight, this is a good option. Lots of wine selections. Tasty tomato basil soup. Cozy to sit and free WiFi.

If you don't see someone behind the bar when you walk in don't bother sticking around. The staff tends to go in the back for long periods of time. It's not uncommon to see people come in, sit down, and then leave after a few minutes because no one ever shows up. If it wasn't in an airport, they would probably have all of their bottles of wine stolen. If you are lucky enough to get service, you will find the selection of wine to be random and pricey. If you get there to early, you will get a red wine served ice cold. Not cool.

It's a chic little stop for a light snack or wine while waiting for a flight connection. Staff was accommodating and efficient. Good good.

Thought I would try this before my flight. Per glass prices ridiculous even for airport prices. Food good. Service good, though I felt like I was being rushed out even though I was the only one in the area. I think this would be super good if they prices dropped on the per glass, is drink more.
Good wine bar at San Antonio Airport
A nice little wine bar in San Antonio that has a decent selections of wine and a small food offering. Most wines are from California, but a few from various other countries. You can buy by the glass or buy bottles to drink or take with you home. Had the chicken panini and it was very good.
