Went with friends on a tour of the house and gardens. Cafe worth a visit , good coffee and tempting cakes.

This place is incredibly delicious, My friends and I stayed for a few hours lounging and tasting all the food. Well worth every penny, and every bite!

Loved the offerings of this cafe for lunch and snacks while visiting Vizcaya. The cafe has indoor and outdoor seating. One orders at a counter and picks up food when ready.

We just got back from our Miami vacation (family of 4, 2 kids). The food is very tasty, very, very good. All the items that we had, were very good. I felt like I was eating in a 5 star restaurant. The woman at the register suggested some items for me and my husband (he wanted somth vegetarian). May be it was a little overpriced, but considering the location and how amazing the food was, it was worth it

They have a good selection of drinks. Water, pop and beer. The sandwiches were good. A bit on the high price side.

Great little spot inside of Viscaya Museum. Food is fresh and delicious. Air conditioning relieves you from the outside Garden's humidity! Nice place.to take a break. GetSome!!

This is not a great restaurant but if you are touring Vozcaya it is the only show in town. The outdoor seating area is decent.

The ginger cake was delicious priced at 4.75. The cafe was decently priced with a small eating area to the side and the gift shop attached.

I always appreciate being able to have a nice lunch at a museum for a reasonable price. The veggie burger was really tasty and the sparkling mineral water was just what I needed on that hot day. Lots of variety and everything looked delicious. Comfortable seating area in the cool inside and there are a couple of tables overlooking the beautiful pool. The cafe occupies what was the billiard room and bowling alley. Outside seating is available, would be great in the non-summer months. One caution; the broccoli salad on the side had peanuts in it which surprised me so if someone has allergies, be sure to ask about the components of the dish you order.

Our visit to Vizacay Museum and Garden ended with a bad taste in our mouths. This cafe's setting was great, the food was mediocre and the service staff was beyond horrible, in particular, the ponytailed gentleman who was as racist as they come. I confronted him afterward and he had nothing to say and wanted us to leave. Beware of this place especially if you're a minority.

We had finished our tour of the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens (10:30 am - 1:15 pm) and decided that it was time for lunch. I had the Vizcaya burger and my wife had the jerk chicken. We both had the broccoli salad as a side. The food was wonderful, ever so much better than expected. The prices were a bit on the high side but the quality made it worthwhile.

When you are able to sit and eat in a mansion of incredible splendor, can it possible get any better? Yes, the food selection here is quite interesting and delicious. Be sure to stop in while visiting the estate and relax and enjoy.

While touring the grounds of Vizcaya, be sure to stop in the cafe for a snack (cookies, sandwiches, fruits, juices, coffees, and more), grab a souvenir, hat, tshirt, umbrella, and wine tasting. Great staff, clean restrooms, and an umbrella covered patio.

The cafe has a broad selection. Unfortunately the high prices really remind you that the food is pretty mediocre. Also the pretty outside patio is located under the kitchen exhaust fan so you get to soak in the smell of frying chicken.

Your eyes can feast on the beauty of this amazing room, while you dine on some very good food. We were very glad to find it here!

I very rarely eat at the bolt on Cafe than most visitor attractions seem to have. But the food here was above average and reasonably priced

we had the blue cheese salad plus shrimp and the vizcaya burguer, great food, delicious fries with some special herb seasoning and savory shrimps, highly recommended, won't dissapoint you

Do not miss a chance to see Viscaya if you are in Miami area! it is a beautiful reminder of a time long gone= breathtaking views and lovely gardens. the house tour was informative and very well done.

The Cafe is next to the shop so two of my favorite activities within one area! we had great service and the food was delicious.

We chose Quiche with salad, and a Cuban sandwich with broccoli salad. It was a fantastic meal! We are trying to figure out the recipe for the dressing for the salad!

Not only is Vizcaya a truly amazing museum gem tucked away right in Miami on the bay, but its café is one of the best we have ever experienced in a museum here or abroad. It was an intimate and lovely place on the lower level of the mansion playing period music from the 1920's. The food offerings were fresh, excellent and wonderfully prepared to order and included a few local Cuban specialties. The staff were truly gracious and cared about customer satisfaction. The café is in total step with the awe of Vizcaya!

Best empanadas I have ever had in my whole entire life!!!! Coming back for sure! The service was friendly and lovely. Much love for this place

We ate lunch here, had Cuban sandwich and salad; Cuban was ok, bread was a little dry and crumbly, salad nice greens, lite vinegarette, kids meal good, chicken tenders, fries and grapes; grilled cheese with fig was excellent on ciabatta.

nice to take a break and have some chill drink couple of beers and rest, really cool. I lked the place alot

Inside the gift shop at Vizcaya. Great place to enjoy some air conditioning, a cold beverage and something to eat after walking thru the estate, or as a half way stop. Limited seating inside with more tables outside. Food is prepared to order and very good. We had the pear and gorgonzola salad very nice sized portion and 2 cuban sandwichs which we agreed were maybe a little too cheesey but we probably could have shared the sandwich with the fries rather than order 2. Lunch for 3 with waters and of course a chocolate chip cookie was about $42

Much fun to discover near the sunken pool and grotto this cool and inviting cafe. Nicely lit with easy yummy menu and great coffee.

food was very good but expensive. Nice table looking over the pool. Try the quiche, one of the best I've ever had.

We had turkey wrap and cuban panino. Price is a little high but it is after all Miami. these were healthy and not greasy food... They have indoor table and chair for us to enjoy our food and rest.

Charming café with tables in the garden to rest for a while at the same time that you eat some good food (even if it is fast food).

I make it a point to eat here every time I bring guests. The food is fresh and interesting. There are healthy options to please every palate and diet.

I thought the location of the cafe was very pretty and I liked the art and objects around the room (for sale, of course!) The Cuban sandwiches we had we tasty, if not quite what I would call a Cuban sandwich. To be fair though, the restaurant calls them "Cuban paninis".

After visiting the elegant rooms and public areas of the home and walking the acres of gardens, we were tired and hungry and happy to find the cafe. There is a variety of goodies to eat and drink as well as a nice gift shop.

Stopped here at the start of our visit to Vizcaya, and am glad we did so. We spent an unexpected amount of time wandering, so I was happy to have enjoyed the quinoa bowl, while my mom enjoyed a great egg salad sandwich with a multigrain bread. Very yummy, despite the tent set up and reconstruction from the hurricane!

I visit Vizcaya every time I go to Miami. The cafe is always bustling and ready to serve tea, smoothies, coffee or a number of other delicious beverages along with tasty sandwiches and pastries. The seating area for the cafe matches the historical feel for the rest of the house and it feels as though you are having tea with the Deerings who built and lived in the beautiful home.

It was a nice cozy place to eat food as it was the only one in there. Price wasn't that bad however if you are travelling with children and on a budget definitely prepare a nice picnic as the Garden is very beautiful to sit down and enjoy.

But the light lunch we had was very nice, with freshly prepared sandwiches, and a few other interesting snack items, incl the ice cream on a stick which is popular in the area. The outdoor seating under umbrellas was nice, and made for a nice respite during our time touring the beautiful property. Their is a selection of jewelry and gifts, as well as sunscreen, sunglasses, etc in addition to the food and snacks. Despite the renovation, and not being the actual cafe building, it was still a pleasant experience !

The food was fine, but thankfully I hadn't come here for the café. I asked for tap water and was given an empty plastic cup. The person working there said she "wasn't allowed" to give tap water, and that there was a drinking fountain outside where I could get some. This gave me an indication of how customer-oriented they were. I wasn't expecting much, and didn't get much, which is fine.

The cafe is under construction, so the only thing available is a little sandwich shop in a tent and some outdoor seating. The people working there were very nice and the sandwich was good, but not much in the way of ambiance. It'll be nice when they get it fixed.

Everything looked and smelled delicious! I just had a sandwich and tea for a quick snack. The desserts looked savory. I wish I hadn't done lunch prior to my visit, because this place would have been better. Feel safe and reassured that your epicurean palette will be pleased if you dine here!

the cafe at Vizcaya was under construction when we visited so the best we can suggest is to bring a sandwich and apple. the cafe is ok but not great.

This is one of my favorite places in Miami that I am always surprised not everybody knows about. The Vizcaya Museum and Gardens is a must visit location for all visitors to Miami - it represents the essence of Miami history plus it is a beautiful place to see. It's like stepping back in time to a more refined and gilded age that coexists with modern Miami right outside its walls. The Cafe is delightful too and adds the finishing touch with culinary treats. Since most of the furnishings and art at Vizcaya came from Europe, you'll feel like you're in Venice or somewhere on the Mediterranean right in the heart of Miami. Miami's Versailles!

Best quiche i have ever eaten in my entire life. I was shocked at taste and quality. Store sold little cups of passion fruit sorbet, which was excellent. Gift sore very cute and reasonably priced.

Better than usual quality and selection for a cafe that is in a tourist attraction. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

This is a great place for a quick bite while you are visiting the museum. The food is great and the prices are reasonable.

Convenient location, right on the grounds. All foods seemed to be ok, for what you would expect. Nothing fancy but hit the spot when hungry

Had a small lunch here after our garden ceremony and Paula made everything so special for us. Working with her was simply a breeze and I cannot wait to visit this cafe again. Food was tasty and extremely affordable. Caprese salad and jerk wings are a must!

We had a great visit and was able to see them rebuilding the pool area from the cafe. They had a lot of really cute things you could buy as souvenirs. This was a nice place to sit down and relax before we did the outdoor parts of the tour.

We stopped at the cafe while on our trip to the museum. Although we didn't have the food, we had the smoothies and blended coffee. Both were really good! The food looked and smelled so good but unfortunately we didn't try it. Maybe next time :)

Cozy and quiet dinning area inside, more relaxed (and windy) on the outside patio. We sat at both. The ambience and inside decoration is beautiful, with some pieces of art and 1930's atmosphere. Great salads and deserts after visiting the museum and gardens. Not too pricey, but the quality of the plates was perfect.

This was our first visit to Vizcaya Museum & Gardens. Due to the recent hurricane and 6 feet of water damage, the regular Vizcaya Cafe & Gift Shop is being remodeled. The temporary set up offers sandwiches, salads, chips, drinks, and other snacks. The other half houses a variety of gifts and souvenirs. The sandwiches were delicious and the outdoor seating was sufficient and the views beautiful. We would recommend you eat here if you're hungry or thirsty.

spend an afternoon in the Vizcaya Museum and run into this lone cafe in the place. It was not bad, average with few nice wraps selections.

We arrived at the Viscaya starving and were relieved to find out that the museum had a cafe on property. Before seeing the menu, I assumed it would be typical, low quality, fast food fare. Thankfully I was wrong. The museum cafe had a fairly wide assortment of food, snacks and beverages. I had the Cuban panino -- quite tasty! I ordered the brocoli side salad. This wasn't exactly my cup of tea, as I typically don't like peanuts, fruits and vegetables all mixed together, but I can't say anything bad about the flavor. Seating indoors and out. The indoor seat was very nice looking, but since it was such a nice spring day outside, we chose the outdoor seating.

I had a salad with fruit, cheese and nuts. I don't recall what it was called but it was very tasty. It was a bit chilly to eat outside and there was restoration going on. Dining inside was cozy and I shared a table with other guests.

It's not bad, but there is only scarce seating indoor. Too bad when the outdoor temperature is really hot. The food choice and quality is average only. However, prices are skyrocketing. In my opinion there is a much better choice nearby at Merritt Park.

I was surprised that the food was as good as it was because we hadn't planned to eat but stayed longer than planned.

We had the shrimp wrap selected fries and broccoli salad(raw broccoli, peanuts, cranberries, and white balsamic dressing) little on the pricey side but it is in the museum. The iced tea was flavored.

Our first stop while visiting Vizcaya.. Excellent selection of sandwich's, salads, snacks, drinks and desserts. Although there isn't any waiter service (line) the food is quality and delicious. Since your sitting in what was Deering's smoking room, the visit starts here. Oh, the Museum shop is right there, quality 'stuff' :)

I was not expecting much and it really has quite good food. Like you would find at a good restaurant. I would definitely eat here again. You can eat inside or outside.

It's a quaint spot to visit if you are in the area and catch up a bit on history of the Mansion. There's plenty of outdoor space and beautiful pictures waiting to be capture. It's definitely a must on anyone's agenda.

vegetarian friendly dishes alongside juicy burgers, kid-friendly dishes, very nice presentation, delicious coffee, this cafe has it all. If you visit Vizcaya, be sure to stop by for lunch here.

Wonderful quiche and side salad. A delightful place to relax after walking around this large estate.

Restaurant was closed due to storm damage and should be reopening in a few weeks. There is a small temporary tent set up outside to purchase sandwiches and drinks. Sorry we missed this opportunity

We toured the grounds at Vizcaya and enjoyed lunch at the Cafe. It is part of the gift shop so we browsed while we waited. Food is ordered cafeteria-style and there are tables inside (air conditioned) and out on the patio. It was a nice day so we ate al fresco. I had the turkey burger with salad and it was very good. The entree with a coffee and a bottle of water was $17 so it is a step above fast food but made to order. Not certain if it would be good for small children.

Not completed yet and currently this is a rent at the left hand side of the main house. Nice place to stop off.

A good place for a hot or cold drink, and a bit shelter in a sunny day. Good selection of books and souvenirs.

After the pool and touring Vizcaya we were hungry and without kids, we went into the cafe and had a fabulous fresh fruit smoothie. It was large enough to share and wonderfully cold and frothy. We then decided that we had to try some of the cuban pastries from our childhood in Coral Gables. They were just as good as we remembered. The food we saw at the other tables looked great, but being hot we really did not have a large appetite . Everyone seemed to enjoy the food since no one left much when they were done eating. Nice reboot now off to shop in the gift shop.

Viizcaya is a great tour and right next to the house is the museum cafe. They have a good staff, so relax find a souvenir (not that Tee shirt) have a drink and a snack.

The cafe is currently operating from a temporary tent outside the home. The area is cluttered and not a very inviting venue. We stopped for our morning coffee and a bite to eat. In retrospect would probably have made other arrangements for breakfast.

Very good food at reasonable prices (about $8-10 for most sandwiches and burgers). There is a nice open terrace in addition to indoor seating.

We came here to grab lunch during our visit to the Vizcaya mansion since it was convenient and didn't require us leaving the premises. I had the fish sandwich and the broccoli salad, plus a guava pastry. The food itself was delicious and I enjoyed the meal. However the price of the food was high for the small portions that they offer. The worst part was that they took forever to process our order because they cashier and kitchen staff apparently weren't cooperating with each other and they were clearly agitated with each other and were demonstrating this publicly in front of everyone. This was very unprofessional and embarrassing for a place such as this to have staff acting like this. They need to have staff capable of cooperating and working together efficiently and effectively to expedite service and also to learn that IF they have problems with each other, acting out in front of everyone isn't the professional way to deal with it.

Enjoyed a lunch while on the grounds, which was odd as it was fresh tasty and not pricey for a place like this so I would recommend trying as you will not be disappointed.

I had an magnificent day. The museum is so amazing the details are so over the top you can spend hours absorbing the grander . A few tips make sure you take a tour. Learning about how this home was built and the Deering family was very enlightening. The next tip come hungry. The cafe lunch was the best I have had. Ask for the butter pecan cookies. Also if u need to purchase a house warming gift or a one of a kind engagement gift this is the spot. Finally after the delicious food stroll the gardens. Perfect day in Miami

It's a restaurant, not a snack bar, and they have a kitchen. But they won't give you a cup of water even if you request it.

The cafe at Vizcaya serves some very tasty lunch and snacks for your visit to Vizcaya, but the seating is extremely limited if you want to sit at the cafe, also (as with most museum cafes) the prices are not as reasonable as you might want them to be. However, a refreshing spot to relax for a bit before setting off to explore again is nice. The vistas of the gardens and the house are amazing. You can even see where Iron Man meets up with War Machine (Don Cheadle) after escaping from their captors in Iron Man 3.

Carmelized Pear and Blue Cheese Salad Sweet and Savory Grilled Cheese Need I say more??? If you are not a member you will have to pay to enter the museum and gardens. It is open Wednesday to Monday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The café itself is lovely but it was such a beautiful day we choose to eat outside on the patio. Enjoy!!!

We usually avoid tourist stop cafes/restaurants but the Cafe here was actually very, very good! The paninis were great and the salad with homemade dressing was wonderful. Beware, the service was a little slow as orders are made to order. We’ll worth a try. They serve beer and wine.

The food and ambiance are only outdone by the staff - courteous, helpful, accommodating, and efficient - a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

Friendly, courteous staff. Very relaxing - right next to house on the lower level near the pool. We picked up a copy of "Visions of Vizcaya" original photography by Bill Sumner as a coffee table book for show and tell about our visit. Excellent vintage photography included during construction phase.

Although the café is pretty much what you would expect at a museum, we were very glad it was there so we could get a bite to eat and a cold beverages and sit in the air conditioning for a half hour. It was very crowded when we were there, but we were lucky enough to snag a table in the somewhat small dining area. The prices are reasonable.

this café is very nice, lots to see inside, nice friendly staff and a place to sit an eat in the back café, which has a nice warm feel.

I went here with my boyfriend, they had a great selection and very tasty. You can def taste the flavor of Miami. Very nice staff and the touches are t bad considering it's a private cafe. For 2 cokes, carrot cake, pastelito, and Cuban sandwich that brought a side of your choice, $22.95. Not to bad I was expecting more expensive. The music was light jazz and the ambiance was very relaxing an soothing. Will come back again when I'm in Miami again.

Only tried the seasoned french fries. However, the were very tasty. Offered quite a variety on the menu.

We enjoyed visiting this restaurant and found the menu very pleasing. The staff were excellent and always checking to make sure the diners were happy with their meals and drinks. We would return when next in the area.

Stop for lunch in this charming cafeteria at Villa Vizcaya. Impossible to stay outside because of the heat, inside is much nicer. Lovely staff and little wait for service. Potato salad and avocado toast, turkey sandwiches, good but maybe a little too small. With 3 sodas, all for $42, it's okay

One would not expect anything other than upscale viands at Vizcaya. Gelato, ice cream, cheeses, wines, sandwiches, snack food = all small in scale but big in taste and quality. Vizcaya is so huge that visitors need a place like this café to refresh themselves. The café is air conditioned, and there is both indoor and outdoor seating. It is also wheelchair-accessible. The café adjoins a small souvenir shop. No bargains of course, but interesting things to look at.

Cheapskates. Can you believe big boss wouldn’t refill an unsweetened tea? No tap water either, you have to buy water. Not a thank you from him when he gave me my sandwich, he just pointed at the basket for the pager.

Family of four had a basic lunch, four sandwiches that came with a side and maybe 3 pops. total was $62.00!

Good food reasonably priced, good Service. The beauty of the café is the surrounding a beautiful garden that can be walked in the bay which is right next-door. Definitely worth a visit if you’re already at the museum

Thank you cafe! It's so hot in Miami and the cafe has cold drinks! Also some nice souvenirs and it has air conditioning :)

This is the second time I eat here and the food is surprisingly very good; I had their Mahi Mahi sandwich with broccoli salad it was delicious and it is modestly priced. If you are a member of Vizcaya you get 10% off.

This is my favorite museum cafe in Miami, even better than PAMM. It's a great menu and everything on it is delicious. I highly recommend it!

We needed a small lunch and cool drink. Prices weren't bad. Selection was OK. Good ambiance in the seating area - great art.

Souvenirs and food all in a quaint setting . Buy main courses , snacks or souvenirs all in the one place . Nice little selection for every taste .

Vizcaya house and museum are lovely and definitely a wonderful way to spend your day. I personally love historical places. But as a British person I was very disappointed with the 'High Tea' on the verandah. The verandah was lovely with a personal waiter and the tea sets were beautiful, but for $24 per person we received some slices of toast and very sweet scones. We received various spreads (egg, very sweet tomato, prawns) they also had jam and cream. The tea was very weak. It wasn't worth the money and if you're British do not expect it to be a real 'High tea'. Scones should not have been so sweet, there were no proper little sandwiches and not little cup cakes. I had to ask for tea bags as the tea was way to weak to drink with milk. It would have been cheaper and maybe more appetizing to eat in the Café downstairs.

Usually I avoid museum food, but plan on having a nice lunch here while taking a break from all the many things to see and contemplate at Vizcaya. The grilled swiss cheese on focaccia with carmelized onions and fig jam was outstanding.

Great place to visit, excellent service and food at the cafe, great atmosphere, wonderful chefs, wonderful menu, although overly prized merchandise.

nice outdoors courtyard setting amongst a beautiful mansion with an ultimate world location. cake was good, too

We spent the day walking around the compound and the museum. We had a late lunch and I was surprised by the excellent quality of the food! We sat in the small room and enjoyed some relaxation while the order was coming. The place was very nice and fit perfectly with the surrounding ambiance. I had the best burger in a long time! The salad was excellent too. Maybe the meal was some overpriced but it was worth for the occasion.

I was impressed with the selection of food in the cafe, especially the snacks. Both the guava and cheese and coconut French pastries were delicious!. My friend's tropical smoothie was big enough for two. There are both indoor and outdoor dining options.

Small cafe on the grounds with freshly made fare....we enjoyed the gelato and ate in a garden area. They do have some indoor seating and also feature hot and cold type sandwiches and salads

Vizcaya Museum Café has great artisan meals. We went to get a bite to eat expecting normal food fair. Not at Vizcaya, the food is excellently designed by a chief. Even though they were busy the food was amazing.

When visiting Vizcaya Museum and Gardens this cafeteria is a good place to grab a bit to eat. It is clean, organized, and comfortable. It features outdoor and indoor eating areas. The service is quick and friendly. I ordered a tuna salad and I was happily surprised how tasty and filling it is. They also serve sandwiches and have a variety of hot and cold drinks.

The food was served fresh and it not only looked appetising, but it tasted delicious. There was a sensible selection of things to eat and drink to cater for all ages and tastes and diets and appetites! Excellent coffee here. The deco was in keeping with the rest of the house and the grounds. Charming staff.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good, and you could sit in or outside. I thought the adjoining gift shop was a tad on the expensive side

Super fresh salads, I had like a fig grilled cheese that was so good. Cute little gift shop and good wine selection!

While touring Vizcaya, we wanted to stop and eat lunch. You order at a counter and take your food to the indoor tables or the large outdoor area. Nothing fancy but the Cuban panini was very good. We stopped back here again for a cup of caffeine and cookies before leaving.
average food, quaint atmosphere
the food was eh.. Probably wouldn't eat here again but Vizcaya gardens is beautiful and very worth a visit!! The smoothie looks good but is deceiving and overpriced. Maybe a good date idea would be to bring lunch/brunch picnic and enjoy it here!
