The people at Voodoo Steakhouse made a little girl's birthday night very memorable. Our group of 7 dined there, and received first class service and great food. From the bubbling Voodoo drink to the chocolate birthday cake, the occasion was a success. The towers of seafood and fantastic steaks made the night outstanding! The manager John, and our waiter Jamal were especially hospitable and attentive. Thanks, Voodoo, for a great night!

The food was good, we were there during our third year anniversary and we were really happy with the service and also the food. we ordered their surf and turf. Mine came with what was on the menu with scallops instead of shrimps. My husband came with the shrimps. They were very attentive and the food was cooked to perfection. My husband told me that this was the best anniversary dinner ever. They gave us complimentary wine and of course i do not drink that because i don't drink wine nor any alcoholic beverage but my husband tried their wine and he loved it. So I would come back again should we return to Las Vegas with other family members visiting. Check it guys! I am sorry i forgot our server's name as this was back in August 2018. He did a FANTASTIC job.

Food was fairly well done but I doubt if I will return. Waiter was friendly enough but had to keep asking for the drink that was ordered. Entire hotel and restaurant felt tired and needing some updates. View was very good.

Room was great, pool excellent, but our dining experience at the Voodoo was disappointing to say the least - the noise from a private party on the outside view patio made it impossible (almost) to hear each other speak, and our waiter almost had to lipread. We were "allowed" onto a corner to see the view..security made sure we did not overstep our boundaries. Very rarely do we treat ourselves to a "fancy" dinner and this failed - we took most of our meal back to our room where we could speak in normal tones

My brothers and I met in Las vegas for a long weekend. We stayed at the Rio and enjoyed a fabulous dinner here. Our waiter was John who had been at the restaurant for 24 years. He treated us like royalty. Made excellent recommendations from the menu and served us an excellent Ferrari Carano cabernet. All meals were prepared as ordered. We enjoyed a window table with a great night time view of the strip. Highly recommend

Came here on a whim on a Wednesday night for a “witch doctor”. The DJ was amazing, super fun music to dance to, not too crowded (like other strip clubs). No shortage of amazing panoramic views of the strip. We will defiantly be back!

The view is the real gem here, 50 floors up. Service is average and attentive for an upscale steak house and the food quality is generally good. "Upscale" fits the description as opposed to "fine dining." Portions were appropriate and the emphasis was on steak and some seafood. One of our steaks came out quite over done but it was replaced with a perfect cut in a matter of minutes! The wine list is extensive enough to find something you like. Start with the Lobster Bisque and finish with the humongous Tiramisu! VooDoo Steak is worth the visit!

Good food. We had crab cakes for appetizer and it was incredible. I had the scallops and hubby had the Ménage a Trois (prawns, lobster, steak). Mine was a little saltier than I’d like but nothing lemon couldn’t fix The drink menu was a little complicated for me (lol) so I asked for the server’s recommendation. It was great. (Can’t remember the name of the drink but it had tequila in it ha!) Service was 100%. Ambience was dark and romantic. Perfect for date nights. Having dined at the restaurant, we got in their lounge for free. The Voodoo lounge has an amazing rooftop with views of Las Vegas. A perfect night for drinks and dancing.

Food was good, although the french onion soup used to come in a very impressive large onion for a bowl and now is just a regular bowl. Minor detail but was looking forward to the impressive onion bowl! Steaks were very good. Sadly I felt that the service was not as you would expect given the price. We were on a special anniversary dinner which we had notified and it just felt very average. What was frustrating is the service the table next to us received was very good and we discovered a lot that our server was not very forthcoming with information we had to ask everything. They were attentive but it is annoying when you learn things from a server telling another table things that you haven’t been told. (You have free access to the rooftop) we would never have known if the other server hadn’t mentioned it to the table next to us. Expected better service giving the value and service we have received elsewhere for lower value meals.

I took my Mom to celebrate her 88th birthday at the Voodoo Steakhouse on top of the Rio hotel in Las Vegas. We had a great time! The food was five stars. There service was top notch and the view was amazing!

Had dinner booked here fir daughters 21st birthday. The Voodoo restaurant is on 50th floor of Hotel Rio. It has panoramic views and also a viewing deck. The meal was great, good steaks, ranging from $45 to $100 plus. The French onion soup was delicious. The wine prices not too bad $55 for a bottle of Marlborough. The staff and service were great. The restaurant is a bit dark, but part of the theme, seemed little worn out. But overall a fab meal

Great food had steak lobster shrimp lobster bisque and crepe brûlée for 114.99. Service was excellent and bring your Caesars players card for 20% off. 50th floor of the Rio and the. Free access to Voodoo lounge on top floor of the Rio

We were not able to sit down at our table until all our party arrived so we took in the amazing views from the terrace. The drinks menu had just changed and the staff were not overly sure of what drinks they did or didn’t have! We ordered our food and waited. The lettuce wedges were small/ limp, I’d only ordered lettuce wedge and mac n cheese, I couldn’t eat the sad wedge so found it hard to eat the mac n cheese as I had nothing to cut through the richness. The steaks came out and they had cooked the wrong steak for my husband so he had to wait while they rectified the matter. Others in our party enjoyed their meal however our experience wasn’t the best!

This place is the best kept secret in Vegas probably because it is off the strip. It is our favorite place to eat in Vegas. The views are amazing..50 floors up. The food and service are outstanding. Professional staff who values customers is rare anymore but the norm here. I just had the wagyu rib cap steak and it was the best I’ve ever had. Flavorful, juicy, and tender!! I am a steak lover and have had steak at every high-end place in Vegas and this was the best!! Afterwards, take your receipt to the nightclub one floor up for free admission and rooftop views 51 floors up!!

We came here before watching Penn & Teller as we were given a 20% discount card for a range of restaurants when we purchased our tickets. The views and the whole dining experience was excellent and made better by our waiter, I’ve forgotten his name unfortunately so apologies if you are reading this! I had the 20oz rib eye with side of baked potato and asparagus, they weren’t kidding when they said the sides could be shared between 2! My fiancée had the ménage et trois surf n turf, also excellent. I’ve only down scored it by 1 as it’s not the cheapest place to eat but it was worth it for a treat.

The service was amazing and the food was to die for. The salads, lobster bisque, lobster Mac and cheese and waygu steak were insanely delicious. I’ll be back!

I had the scallops here and they were pretty good. Nothing to brag home to mom about but if you order them you wont be disappointed. The view was amazing, since it's so high up on the Rio you can see quite a bit. Lovely view but the service wasnt too good. I told me server I was going to use the little boys room and when I came back my food was already bussed. I literally had two bites. They apologized and remade my food but c'mon brah...

We recently had a celebration dinner here for our friends’ anniversary and it did not disappoint! The staff was wonderful and the food was delicious. The views were also amazing. After dinner we went to the lounge on the very top floor and the views were even more spectacular. We would definitely recommend.

Not recommended we had salad was good the rest was average and the steak was burned and over cooked what I can had it is not recommended

We came for the view, but the food turned out to be almost as extraordinary. Recommended by a local friend, we hoped to enjoy the view at sunset from the 50th floor and hopefully not break the bank in doing so. The food was mostly incidental when we came in, but as soon as it arrived, we realized it comes close to eclipsing the view. Our starters of lobster bisque, French onion soup and Caesar salad were all amazing, the bisque perhaps the best Mr. Cuddles has had anywhere. We ordered the cheapest steak on the menu, the 14-ounce flatiron and found it was deliciously seasoned, cooked well and shared pretty well, even between three. The wild mushrooms accompanied the steak quite well, and Ms. Cuddles, extremely picky about her sangrias, found the house Antonio’s Sangria to be a great one. Finishing the meal off, the crème brulee is topped with strawberries and happiness. Our meal ended up being definitely on the pricey end of things, but we’d known that going in and it was absolutely worth it. We will almost certainly be coming back here. The view of Las Vegas just outside the dining room is wonderful; we highly recommend starting dinner early so you can enjoy sunset as well as the skyline lighting up after. Just make sure not to miss the show on the table in front of you.

Although the food and service is great, the big plus of this place is the outside patio, 50 stories up. The view of Vegas from that vantage point is spectacular. Before and after dinner, guests are invited to take their drinks to the patio to absorb the view. No better view in Vegas !

My friends and I stayed at the Rio for the WSOP last June, and had dinner here. They were very accommodating with our reservations (we had to change it a couple of times), and the atmosphere and the service were really good. The quality of the steak was really good, side dishes were OK, nothing great. Really good view though. And a very nice wine list. Not worth go to Rio just to visit the steakhouse (there are several great steak houses in Vegas), but if you are staying at the Rio is worth dinning here

This was the "perfect" evening of my entire trip. After taking in the Wine Cellar, I finally went to try the Voodoo Steak & it did not disappoint. From the service, to the food, to the amazing views, the entire evening was perfect. I had the Land & Sea, and chose the filet mignon & sea diver scallops and they were cooked to perfection & delicious. Though a bit pricey, I would not hesitate to return for dinner again. A very enjoyable, relaxing evening.

Superior in every way. This restaurant is located on the 50th Floor of the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino. The service was excellent, the menu has something for everyone and the food quality and presentation were excellent. The adjoining deck for spectacular views of the city is phenomenal. There is also a zip line if you're brave enough to take it from one tower to the other and back again high above the city. I wasn't brave enough but several others were and thought it was fabulous. There is also a VooDoo Lounge. Didn't go there but those who did said it was nice.

Recently had a very good meal at the Voodoo. The Short Rib Bruchetta was excellent. The Octopus, not so much. Actually, we couldn't eat it, but the Wagyu Ribeye was perfect. View was very nice and the service was spot on. Very quick and efficient. A lot of choices in Vegas and I would go back.

I've been to a lot of steak houses and have eaten plenty of steaks and have paid over $200 for two people. However I paid $210 for two steaks and two sides (super small portions) with water and it was just so so to me. For $210 I was expecting really flavorful steaks but it was just so so and I will never do that again not at this place -- just not worth it to me. Plus the waiter was not attentive to us at all except when it was time to pay the bill!!!

We went 30 Dec 2021. We loved the view; the staff was very friendly and provided wonderful service. The meal was cooked perfectly. I had the flank steak with a side of asparagus. I had the asparagus sauce on the side as I am not a big sauce person. Glad I did it was disappointing. The sauce was thing about this meal that was not perfect but don't hold that against them as everything else was perfection. My fiancé had the chicken marsala. Very tasty and the noodles taste homemade, but the waiter said they did not make the noodles in house. Prices are on par with other steakhouse but none in Vegas have this view. If you dine here, take a photo outside on the deck it will look like a postcard. Try to Voodoo drink it is enough for two people and presentation is amazing. I like the fact the tables are not on top of each other, and you can have a private conversation at dinner.

Decided to eat here because we had tickets for Penn and Teller later in the evening. Service was very slow, and inattentive. The dining room was too dark, the staff were using flash lights to serve food! The whole place seemed like it needed a little bit of cleaning. The waiter was so slow, he never offered to get me another drink from the bar, which I would have ordered. And he was so slow that we didn't get to order dessert because we didn't have time. But that didn't matter, because he didn't ask if we wanted dessert until after he brought the check. The whole vibe of the restaurant is off. They half-ass the "voodoo" theme, and the menu is really limited. With all the wonderful steakhouses in Las Vegas, I say skip this one. Spend your money elsewhere.

This Steak House and Roof Top Nightclub should be on everyone’s list of top 10 things to do. The Steak House has a comfortable, appealing atmosphere with an almost dated feel that kind of adds to its charm. The best part has to be the food and terrific service. I started with the Blue Lump Crab Cake that easily matched or bettered the one I had Baltimore where I fell in love with them. (I had 3 others while in Vegas and none could compare with this one!) The French Onion Soup was homemade and delicious according to my spouse. We shared the 12 ounce filet which was easily enough and very tender and tasty. The side of summer baby carrots did not disappoint either. I must include a positive note on the service. The waiter was there to help choose a wine that was great and did not cost a ridiculous fortune as some suggest. He was also there to cater to our cocktails, questions and suggestions. One suggestion included taking in a walk around the restaurant to check out the fabulous view from the top of the Rio. WOW! Upon his suggestion we also took advantage of the free admittance to the Roof Top Nightclub (saved $25 each) and enjoyed the rest of the night dancing, drinking and enjoying the fabulous 360 views. Fantastic! Two parts of the evening which we totally enjoyed!!

While eating a few bites of salad i chipped my front bottom tooth on what felt like a piece of plastic. The waiter Jamal was very apologetic and notified the manager. When the manager came to our table he stood almost 6 feet away and asked if everything was all right. I did not want to make a scene in front of all the other tables of guests so i said the steaks were very good. After that when i asked the waiter if he had asked the manager to stop by he said that he had and again apologized profusely for the manager not taking an interest in the complaint. He said that the piece i could not cut with a steak knife was a piece of bacon. Can you imagine bacon that is so hard it chips your tooth? How are they storing that food product that it was so dried it felt like plastic? He did make it very clear that nothing further would be done and apologized again. I asked the waiter for the manager's business card. When i returned home I notified the manager that i had chipped my tooth and that i needed to see a dentist because the sharp edge was cutting into my tongue. I never received a response. As luck would have it, the dentist was able to file down my lower tooth because the chip was on the inside and my insurance covered all expenses. It did not however cover missed wages due to the visit. I'm very disappointed that the manager of such a lovely restaurant would behave this disgracefully. I will not recommend this restaurant to our friends who routinely travel to Vegas with us.

The steakhouse offers a great choice of steaks and sides as well as seafood and other meats. I loved their New York Steak, wife had the surf and turf Voodoo Menage A Trois Filet, lobster tail and shrimp. As my side I chose baked mac n cheese. We both had dessert. My only suggestion is they offer more alcohol free desserts. I had three choices, gelato, sorbet or CRÈME BRÛLÉE. I had cookies and cream gelato and she had mango sorbet. Jeff was our server and did a bang up job. We definitely would go back.

Quickly seated with prompt service. Good, varied menu and prices were okay. Steak served was really good.

We enjoyed a Birthday dinner experience by a window with such a great view! The steak was done perfectly and shared a huge baked potato with all the fixings!

Took my wife out for a birthday dinner here this past weekend. First off - the view from the 50th floor was spectacular. We requested a window seat, and got quite a show from the huge dust storm happening outside! The food was just ok. We probably won't be back again. I got the ribeye, she got the halibut. The steak was really really salty - and I like salt. The taste of the steak was overpowered by all the seasonings. The halibut was a little fishy/oily, not what I would expect from a white fish, and certainly not worth the price. I don't know if it was the way the fish was prepared or if it wasn't as fresh as halibut I've had elsewhere, but thumbs down. Our server was awesome, very attentive, liked to talk, and even found us some locals discounts to take a significant portion of the bill away!

We were excited to dine here on our last night! We were seated by a friendly hostess. we were seated by the window we felt cold right away,It was colder that night 40. We asked about it but the server did not seem to care! We ordered our 2 bottles of wine and tryed to enjoy the rest of the night. The food was good but not perfect. The crab cake was good to start. We ordered our mains steaks, My wife wanted hers pepper corned witch was fine but there was a $6 charge. I was disapointed that there was no kind of steak sauce?! Just butter! What steak house does not have a sauce? When we did not order and sides with the steak( we were leaving the next day and wanted dessert) Our server was rude and walked away from the table. We did call after to complain and john the manager was very good and took care of us! We would try it again!

Food was superb as was the service...Thank you Jose and Paco for making a special dinner outstanding.

I had eaten at this place several times and it was always good. Last night was a totally different experience. I treated my sister and friend to dinner. One steak had to be sent back 3 times before it was finally cooked right. The other steak was sent back twice. The third steak was so tough that she only ate half of it. We were told the sides were enough for 2 people to share. That also was not true. We ordered a baked potato ($12) and it was just a regular size potato that one person would have eaten. Needless to say we didn't even get to dine together because of steaks going back and forth. I asked for a manager who came over and said I will adjust your check by 20 percent. When we received the check she had manually tried to take off 20 percent of the steak only but left the sides at the regular price. What a joke. She offered no apology or can I get you a dessert or something else on me. While this dining experience was going from great to worse so was the service. Never did the waiter come back and ask if the steaks were cooked alright after the third time; dirty dishes were left on the table long after we were finished until I had to wave someone done to come and get them. The waiter brought over our check and didn't even ask if we wanted dessert or coffee. I will never eat there again.

This place is great for many reasons. The view is spectacular, the service fantastic and the food tantalizing. We had the Tomahawk wet aged steak with marrow butter. The sides were huge. Left after an amazing meal planning our next trip to eat at this restaurant.

I've eaten here several times and not been disappointed. The view is fantastic. The steaks are good, but try the Lobster Mac. Wow. It gets me every time. Enjoy a nice environment and good for groups.

We chose this restaurant because we were seeing Penn & Teller at the Rio Hotel. This restaurant is on the top floor so you can have a great view of Las Vegas. The venue is dark and packed. The food is good. I had the ribeye which was well prepared and had good flavor. Most of our table had the Manage a trios which is shrimp, steak and lobster. I heard no complaints and everyone finished their meal. We also had one person who had lamb chops which looked very good. I had the onion soup which was acceptable. This is a good restaurant for pre show food.

First everyone from front desk to our waiter gave us a great experience and super friendly demeanor. Beautiful view, we came as a friendly couple but recommend for everyone and every occasion. We ordered to start the applewood smoke sub bacon 🥓 OMG it was true happiness in my mouth. I love bacon but this was amazing a must have always! I ordered some to go because I needed more. Then for dinner we ordered the WAGYU steak hats off to the chef. A little pricey but well worth the ambiance and food. Highly recommend and will return every time I go to Vegas!

Our server Jeff was the BEST! Truly top notch! Had the Surf and Turf menage e trois (spelling?) With a perfect cooked steak, lobster and very flavorful shrimp. Truly a great value for the money too!

The quality of the steaks was mediocre. Everything is a la carte...$14 for a baked potato!?!? The drinks are WAY overpriced. The service was extremely SLOW. The restaurant was empty and it took over an hour to get our food. Find somewhere else to eat!

This steakhouse is on the 50th floor of the Rio Hotel, near the Masquerade Tower. It has a nice view of Vegas if you get a window table. The salads were excellent, and I had a very nice 8 ounce steak (filet). They have a good choice of wines, and the service was excellent. I also had their asparagus, and the chocolate dessert was really good. A nice restaurant to splurge!

This restaurant has so much potential!! We went because we had tickets to Penn and Teller. The elevator to the restaurant was a bit of a challenge to find, but once you are up at the top, the view of the Strip is breathtaking. The menu was very limited - not sure if that was because of Covid.. The Caesar salad was fair - I had to send it back because there was too much dressing. There was no bread or butter which I thought was strange. We wanted wine, but bottles were way overpriced. Great service though, and incredible views.

We were a group of ten. Nine of us ordered steaks and one ordered salmon. That along with the sides were truly amazing. Portion size was also very generous. the ambience was warm & inviting and some of the cocktails were quit unique and delicious. The staff were over achievers. Friendly, and taking care of all our needs before we had to ask. One of our group was stressed having ridden up in the glass elevators. Upon leaving, they allowed her to take a different elevator in which she didn't have to feel the anxiety of once again riding on the glass elevator.

We went to the Voo Doo Steakhouse to celebrate our sons birthday. Man what an experience. First we took a ride up in the glass elevator. Amazing view of the city. 50 floors later we arrived at the steakhouse. Our waiter, and all of the staff that we encountered were very friendly and accomodating. We took photos from the roof and had an all around good time. The food was awesome. I had the 21 day aged rib eye. It was cooked to perfection. My son had a filet mignon and my nephew had the strip steak. All were perfectly cooked, and very tasty. Both boys said that it was the best steak that they had ever tasted. I had to agree. My steak was also the best of my life. A kid friendly atmosphere and all around great place to eat. We will return soon.

Was in town for business and went out for dinner. Had a bone in. Ribeye with mashed potato and a side of cream corn. Dinner was great but make sure you can go outside for the view totally awesome.

Great place for a dinner at the top of one of the towers at the Rio. Though not on the Strip the views were spectacular. It has a bar and dining area and you are away from the hustle of the gaming areas.

This is one of my ten steak dinner restaurants in Vegas ,must try it out ,very romantic and very elegant ,and very upscale dinning is set on the 50 floor of RIO Casino , it is a breathtaking view of Vegas , ( Special the SUNSET ) ,not that expensive at all ,it is very fair market value , my Rib eye is under $80 , so juicy ,,well balance with the seasoning ,full of flavors , both girl friend had the 16 Oz Rib Eye and Scallops , ,our starters is Baby Octopus and oysters ,both is excellent ,absolutely first class , staff truly professional , we all very happy and enjoyed the great views and the dinner , I put down 40 % tips ,it is worth every penny ,keep in mind ,it is first class dinning ,you pay what you get !

Had dinner with a group of eight and everyone was pleased. Our server John, did a great job and was very informative and professional. I had an excellent steak. Access to the rooftop lounge featuring a zip line and great view was a very nice feature. Would strongly recommend.

No other view like it in Vegas. Watch the zip line while you eat. See Kai for a tour. The 8 oz filet, with Parmesan coated potato wedges and the asparagus was more than filling. Go party at the outdoor lounge above after dinner. Good wine selection. All beer is in bottles.

My partner and I dined at the Vodoo Steakhouse restaurant in the Rio hotel. It has since become clear that this meal has without question given both my partner and I a not so mild case of food poisoning. I’ll spare you with details however this meal is the only thing we’ve both eaten together today and symptoms started within a couple hours of finishing this meal. As a result I contacted Caesars Entertainment (who run the restaurant) explaining this and they were very unhelpful - not providing any kind of compensation. I would avoid in future.

Terrible restaurant environments. Need new furniture. Very outdated! Waiter never ask how my food. I ordered wague steak $90. This piece of meet not even close to that streak name. I left almost a half of it. Highly not recommend to visit. There is a lot of places around where you can spend your money and get your satisfaction. Shame!!!!!

Beautiful meal and great view of the strip. Excellent service. I also had the green beans which were fantastic.

The staff here was awful, and thats putting it nicely. We were the first to arrive and after waiting 20min to take our order, our food (after multiple tables received theirs first) was not good. No spice, no flavor just tasted like butter in a pan. The waiter didnt refill our drinks or check on us at all, however visited nearby, larger, tables frequently. We have never experienced such awful service, and even after leaving the hosts ignored us even as we said goodbye... customer service and food really not worth the price at all, even with an excellent view.

My wife and I had dinner at Voodoo Steakhouse for our anniversary. The staff made it a special time. The food was amazing. We had a chopped salad, lobster bisque soup, salmon and ribeye. All was exceptional. Our server Jose was great as well. He brought us champagne and dessert for our anniversary. The patio was a treat after dinner. The views are exceptional. Take the time to go out and take in the views and watch the zip line.

The steaks were excellent. Bread was delicious. Jamal was a good server. We went outside before the appetizers arrived to look at the view in daylight and after dinner to see the night lights. Only bad thing was with 2 couples they did not split the check and when we asked them to do so they split it incorrectly.

I think that most reviewer’s are getting the view confused with the actual cuisine.Average at best. We grabbed an early table due to the fact that we had concert tickets later that evening and we informed the waiter that we didn’t want to be rushed but we didn’t want it to be a 2 hour dining experience either. He rushed us at the end due to the fact it took forever for the main entrées to come out. Wine list… Welcome back to the 80s were the only names you’ll see are Mondavi, Stags’ Leap, and somebody else I don’t remember because I don’t buy staples. I think the Somm hasn’t been Into any of these places in a long time. I live in Napa Valley and was just doing outreach the other day- Very unimpressed by the names on their list and what is coming out of these facilities. It’s called evolving. What used to be our only choices in Napa Valley are now what we consider tourist traps, Yet, this place thinks they deserve a place on their wine list... Very updated thinking and narrow minded thinking of their clientele. The word Napa Valley carries a lot more weight than the names above nowadays. Beginning a special night- I played it safe and went with the chef‘s three-course... lobster bisque, fillet and lobster tail (the ol’ surf and turf) And dessert which we really didn’t have time for because again, it took forever for the main entrées to reach the table because the waiter and kitchen did not communicate with each other. Lobster bisque was average… I’ve had much better at many other places. Fillet was cooked absolutely perfect and I’m a ribeye girl but this fillet was perfect- Unfortunately the lobster was overcooked, and we didn’t have time to have them correct the issue, nor could I have the waiter aware of this because he didn’t come back to the table immediately if at all until dessert. We had to flag him down for the bill and stand to finish the job. We also had a wheelchair with us… Which made it extremely difficult to get out of our table because they planted a large party in front of our table. Two ladies had to stand up and move to the other end of their table in order for the wheelchair to pass. Simply no room. With all the choices in Las Vegas, we all agreed we would not come back. This girl that loves steak would rather go to a chain (and I strongly dislike chains) but Morton’s for instance, is a phenomenal safe bet with a much more creative wine list. All in all, It was average. I think back to my choice… The safe three-course Chef inspired meal. Nothing inspiring about a surf and turf and honestly that’s my fault for going safe and picking an old staple that I figured they wouldn’t or couldn’t screw up on. My bad… Like I said folks welcome back to the 80s

Had dinner @ the Voodoo Steakhouse on a Monday evening. It was a great adventure and the food, service and ambiance was outstanding. Being on top of the Rio gives you great views of the Strip and Las Vegas. We were seated and our server took excellent care of us (I'm sorry I cant remember his name)from drinks, appetizers, dinner and dessert, it was a great experience. The waiter recommended a bottle of red wine, we ordered a couple giant shrimp cocktails for the table as an appetizer. For dinner I had the lamb chops--OMG!! They were the best I have ever eaten--prepared and seasoned perfectly. For sides we ordered lobster mac & cheese (my inner fat kid did not want to share that!) and baked potatoes. For dessert we had tiramisu which was wonderful as well. After dinner I wanted to go upstairs to the Voodoo Lounge and check it out, but the 2 guys I was with wanted to go back to our hotel, so I guess I have to go back! Great job! Definately will go back!

Personally, I liked Texas De-Brazil a little better but a personal choice here. Nice staff was well trained and very friendly. I would go again.

Booked the Voodoo Steakhouse. Great service at the door whilst being seated and by the friendly bar man. Food was good quality but personally felt that you were paying for the view rather than the service. The menu was unclear and when I asked the waiter a couple of questions he couldn't answer. The best part was pre-dinner drinks out on their rooftop. Ordered the green beans on the side as was surprised that they come out as battered green beans?! Wouldnt return to the restaurant but would return for drinks on the roof

Fantastic views on 50th floor. Went before seeing Penn&teller show. Service excellent. Food just ok. Expensive.

Most terrifying experience. We took glass elevator to 50th floor and doors did not open. When we tried to go to 51st floor or casino floor, nothing happened. We rang for assistance--nothing happened. The elevator slowly descended and opened on the ground floor/basement used by employees. We had no idea what to do or where to go other than get off that non-functioning elevator. I tried to call hotel and received online reservation recording. No help. Finally, an employee happened to enter area and was shocked to see us. He offered to guide us to correct access. We knew didn't need that info. We just needed out of the room. When we went back to restaurant check-in, and I am in tears with this 20 minute experience, the management really didn't offer much of an explanation. We learned from servers/employees that this is a common experience and we were lucky that elevator didn't remain stuck on 50th floor. Later when we tried to take a different elevator, doors closed and went no where twice. On third time, my friend shoved doors together and then it worked. And management only offered me medical attention for the frightening experience. And later that evening, I vomit. Did I eat bad crab???

What a fabulous spot to look out over Las Vegas, enjoy excellent food and a delicious drink. Service is always prompt.

The food was delicious, steak on point! The dessert was amazing, just wished the service was as good as their food.

The best of the restaurant and the reason to go again is definitely the rib bruschetta. It was amazing and filling. We probably should have stopped there and called it a win.... We also got a steak and my husband got steak tartar... both were okay but agree with some of the other reviews that everything had a lot of salt. Red Cab was good but also seemed a bit on the expensive side for a glass of wine. We did briefly check out the club too but all the seats were blocked off and there were about 10 people there. I should also call out our server was oddly super chatty, but did a decent job even though I think he was spread over 6++ tables

Truly incredible food like you’ve never tasted it before! Impeccable staff, wine a perfect accompaniment. Great views from the outside terrace, expensive but can’t visit vegas without going here.

Compelled to write a review after spending $300 on a meal for two comprising 12 oysters to share, 1 scallops main, 1 steak with no sides and one bottle of average red wine. Yep.. $300. Had the meal, location and service been exceptional the cost would have made sense, this is Las Vegas after all. Sadly we were bitterly disappointed. We had been recommended to go for the view but we hadn’t anticipated the VooDoo at the Rio is away from the Strip, therefore the view takes in the ‘back side’ of the Bellagio side of the Strip (so you don’t feel a part of the action at all). The view is ok, but it was very windy when we went and so didn’t want to spend more than 5 mins outside anyway. The zip line is run from the outside deck of the restaurant meaning there’s zip line people coming and going through the restaurant at all times. The restaurant itself feels like an extension of the nightclub (one floor up) and is particular dark, almost ‘seedy’ in its decor. The staff were, as usual in the US, very chatty but it felt particularly forced here. They seemed bored and couldn’t rush us through quickly enough. Our $300 meal (did we mention if cost $300?!!) took us all of 43 minutes..... And so to the meal itself. We have honestly never experienced such tiny oysters. 2 of the 12 were not even ‘there.’ They were served with a potent tomato salsa and a horseradish butter. Crazy in my opinion as this kills any natural flavour. That said, they had none anyway. In fact very dry and wholly disappointing. I’m a vegetarian but occasionally eat fish and shellfish. Ok.. I know this is a steakhouse, but there are NO vegetarian options. So scallops it was. I have to admit these were very nice. Well cooked and flavoursome. My partner’s Wagyu steak was apparently decidedly average and cooked medium when he had asked for rare. The sommelier asked how we were enjoying the Pinot Noir we had chosen (having been offered no assistance in its choice). We told her it was ‘ok’.. we were being polite, it had a spiky aftertaste and not at all smooth on the palette. She advised we should buy the $200 bottle next time and we didn’t see her again... Needless to say we won’t be returning. There must be better places to go for a decent meal with a view in LV!

I am writing this review because of how bad our experience at voodoo was; food & service We were at voodoo restaurant for my sister-in-law's birthday dinner and the service was horrible. We had specifically asked for a table with a view because research showed that certain sitting arrangements had better views, but we were seated by somewhat of a storage area and we did not get the view we were told we would get. Our server seemed like he had somewhere else to be and he would rather not be with us, he was short, impatient and he was very dismissive, did not want to answer questions about menu items, took forever to even bring us water to begin with. From the very first minute we got into the restaurant we got assigned a server and were asking questions about the menu, how spicy the food was the server was and what changes could be made a la carte but he just kept telling us how the food is the way it is and there's nothing else he or the chefs can do or they can do to make it spicy and normally that would be okay but the manner in which he was answering our questions was appalling. There was one messed up order (that should have never happened to begin with because specific instructions were given for that particular dish, but it still got messed up) it took them forever to replace the order and someone from our party had to get up and start looking for someone who worked at the restaurant to get it fixed. The drinks took forever to get made/brought to our table and when they came, they tasted watered down, but it was fine because we were already having a good day as it was my sister in law's birthday, we already we already had a couple of fun activities around town we were happy we were in good spirits. The food took forever to come and when the food came it wasn't as hot so it kind of feels like it was sitting in the back for a while and the food was very bland and the steak was rubbery, we had to ask for extra seasoning to be able to tolerate the food and at the end a couple of us had to take the rest of our food with us to go remake it ourselves. One of the parts that irked me the most was when it was time for him to serve my sister-in-law her birthday ice cream scoop. He brought it dropped it on the table said happy birthday and just left but a few minutes later, there was a table behind us that was being attended to by the very same server and he brought their scoop of birthday ice cream, it had a lit candle, petals, a strawberry and nice design patterns and he stood there, and he sang, and he was clapping and everything. Why didn’t we get that? It is hard not to feel some type of way after receiving this kind of service. Was it because we were the only black patrons in the restaurant? At that point we just wanted to leave we just wanted to get the check and leave and he took forever to bring the check and when he brought the check we asked for to-go boxes because more than half of us didn't even finish our meals because we were not satisfied with the taste/quality and had to personally go home re-cook the food because it didn't taste good enough but the server never brought the to-go boxes even after I personally stood up to go ask him for the boxes “twice” If you want to spend hundreds of dollars on a nice meal and you want to experience good service, Voodoo is not where to go because we spent hundreds of dollars on what was supposed to be a fine dining experience and they ruined it for us.

Food and views are unbelievable but the fuss we had on getting in was unnecessary. We had a very off the cuff night which happens in Vegas and my husband and I hadn’t had time to change from the afternoon. He had a vest n shorts on and they wouldn’t let him in. Wasn’t like it was a string vest it was a designer one which was smarter then what he ended up going down to buy just to be allowed in. When he returned I still feel like they were OTT in him entering....he looked smarter than me in my T-shirt dress and trainers.....sexist policy?! It’s such a shame the above happened as the food and service upstairs was outstanding. I had the steak, lobster and shrimp, my husband had fillet. Our friends had salmon, sea bass and scallops. All unbelievable and great on the strip that all came with sides with exception of the steak. Views from the top of the Rio were outstanding too.

Tried the Voodoo steakhouse for the first time. Food was excellent as well as the service. It’s located on the top floor of the Rio Hotel Casino. You are allowed to go outside on the roof while waiting on your meal and take in the views of Las Vegas. I recommend you make your reservation for nighttime as the views of the Las Vegas strip were amazing and offers great photo opportunities.

Had a fantastic dinner, complete with amazing cocktails and brilliant service. The view from the balcony is breathtaking.

Had dinner here on a Tuesday evening. Not many diners at the time I was there. Came to Rio to see a show. This restaurant is on the top of the Hotel, over 50 floors up. The view outside of this place is the best thing about coming here. Walk outside and enjoy the spectacular view of the Strip from afar. I ate here last year and was not impressed. Was seeing Penn and Teller so I thought I would try it again. Had the Wedge salad and Filet and Lobster. Just so so. Nothing spectacular. Everything was cooked correctly and presentation was nice but I felt the food was the same as I could get at any average restaurant. In my opinion after having eaten at most of all the Steakhouses in Vegas in my 88 trips here, this one ranks near the bottom. Probably will not be back. Service was great, but in the end the food was average. My bill was $93 not including tip for those two items and one drink.

Went here with my wife and sister. We had the best sunset over Vegas experience followed by incredible steak and halibut. Here’s the life hack: steakhouse guests can enjoy to top deck and bypass the fees and lines of the voodoo club... here’s how to do it: Arrive 20-30min before sunset to take in the views before dinner time . Take elevator up to the steakhouse on 52nd floor then purchase a drink at the bar. From there proceed to the sky deck outside and ogle the unbelievable views over Vegas while the sun goes down. After that go back inside to enjoy your killer meal. Our steaks were off the hook good! When you are finished with dinner, return once again to the outside deck to see the amazing nighttime views and chill DJ tunes . Best evening ever!

Went to the Voodoo Steakhouse at the Rio May 14 after having read the reviews on TripAdvisor. We found the service to be excellent, no complaints with that. But the food.....pricey and not good at all. The touted Lobster Bisque was ok, certainly not the best. A very peculiar beet salad left me wanting something to eat. Steak was a big disappointment-no seasoning and under cooked. Baked potato dry and over cooked. The view from the Steakhouse is spectacular. The Rio seemed pretty deserted and sad for a once over the top resort. If you must eat at the Rio, try another restaurant.

We wanted dinner with a view, and whilst the inside restaurant is nice, the terrace is just stunning! Worth a trip just for that alone.

On the 51st floor of the Rio, great ambiance, dimly lit, special occasion place. Head out to the rooftop to enjoy the views in between courses and before or after dining. We were confused why we were forced to take a 5 pm reservation thru the call center at the hotel when i made all the other reservations and were told by them , sorry no openings, we would be staying there and wanted a bit later dining, so we get there at 5 p.m. and the place is empty we were there until at least 7:30 p.m. and many tables were open, very bad reservation system, even our server was not liking that we were told that and told us best to call the restaurant direct which i tried but I was sent to a call area. Nice menu, also has a chef tasting to try with pairings also. Started with the bread bowl and olive spread dip, then chose the app grilled octopus, had small potatoes, hearts of palm, piquillo pepper, basil mixed in a cream aioli sauce, nice starter, entres , we had lamb chops with a cheddar potato crisp square, interesting had an odd flavor on the bottom with some green coloring, but was tasty, haricot verts green beans, and pearl onions , the problem was when ordered the server did suggest medium rare, however 1 piece of the lamb chop was rare and partly cooked which i had to pick apart and the other piece of lamb chop was totally rare, server came around and it was taken back, took quite awhile to get another dish, but at least I got a freshly cooked new dish, but just one lamb chop which was cooked nicely, and had to transfer the potato square from my other dish to the new dish, at that point hubby was trying to not finish his dish so he could have dinner with me, but his meal would get cold. And giving himself a nice treat for dinner he ordered the Wagyu steak, very special, very pricey. And since nothing else came with that steak , ordered a baked potato which was very huge. So after all that, we decided to order the Banana Bomb for dessert. Quite the show, it is almost like banana flambe, but with 2 hard sugar discs with ice cream mouse inside and bananas flambe's poured over it. Very tasty. Jacinto our server was fantastic, so friendly and trying and giving all he got to go above and beyond to make our evening really nice. The views are really the best in vegas and figure you are paying for it. This is a special destination dining place. If that reservation issue and the lamb prep issue did not happen it would have been a higher rating.

I had the filet, spouse had the Wagu. Both were very tasty and cooked to order. Caesar salad and lobster bisque were both good. Sides were delicious, we had the blue cheese potatoes, creamed spinach, and the mushrooms. More food than the two of us could finish! Billy was our server, very attentive and answered any questions we had. View was terrific, of course, and it was a great evening to go outside for pictures.

The view is spectacular from the 50th floor of Rio. Our waiter was even better. Jacinto greeted my husband and me within 2 minutes of our sitting down at our table. Drinks came quickly and as we wanted a 2nd drink before ordering dinner, Jacinto wrote down our order, delivered the drinks and then ordered when we were ready. The food came quickly and was delicious. My husband had the Australian lobster tail (it was huge) and I had the 12-ounce Wagyu ribeye. We also ordered the carmelized onions not realizing that the steak would also have onions on it. Again - service was superb! Thank you Jacinto!

we were staying at the Rio and wanted to check out the place. It is private and reservations needed. View is great. High priced menu! Voodoo drink is $49!!! They let us stay for just drink - not usually this dead of a night was reasoning. Should just be at bar.

At the top of the Rio, overlooking their dramatic zipline is their premier steakhouse. Oddly billed as featuring New Orleans food on their menu, there was none. But the rest of the food was very nicely prepared and well presented. Pleasant and personable wait staff. Comprehensive winelist boasting some breathtaking prices commensurate with the 50th floor altitude. The prix fixe tasting menu was quite good. Enjoyed the dessert, a rather strange apple confection. If you're a guest at the hotel, remember to mention this before your check; comes with a substantial discount.

Good, great views, fun atmosphere- I like the mix match chairs, and the ambience. The steaks were fantastic and the sides are plentiful, we enjoyed their homemade sangria. The only downside is it smells a little night clubby. Our client enjoyed it, and we enjoyed taking her out to see the views of the Las Vegas trip, so overall I think it was a win.

Stopped in for dinner with two friends after seeing the WOW show on April 28, 2024. Excellent meals and five star service. VooDoo is famous for spectacular panoramic views from its 50th floor deck. It did not disappoint! Our waiter - long timer John Diaz -- was awesome. He was informative, professional and took good care of us and suggested a good wine that went well with our meals. All 3 dinners: Sea scallops, tuna and chicken were excellent. We will be back!

I'm never one to post reviews but this place had some of the hands down best food Ive ever eaten in my life with the most beautiful views. We came tonight and did the chefs tasting menu and the witch doctor drink shared between my fiance and I. Some of the best food I've ever eaten in my life! 6 course meal and a dessert with a show to die for! Im not a seafood fan, but the first and third courses were seafood centered and I cannot express enough how absolutely delicious they were. Even the bread as an appetizer was some of the best bread I've ever eaten in my life!!! I will recommend this place to ANYBODY looking for a good, nice meal in Vegas. But... Be ready to drop quite a bit of money. One word h doctor and two chefs tasting orders gave us a bill of about $250 🙈

Steak was good Lobster not so much but it is a very expensive place to eat which is OK if the service matches the price and then to get charged twice for the meal, and it still not sorted 5 days later!!! They said 24-48 hours to get refunded well that still has not happened!! BE AWARE OF THIS PLACE YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!

First, let me say the service was wonderful. The food was just ok - lobster bisque was amazing, steak not great but not awful, potatoes so-so, etc. We were also caught off-guard by the ambiance - plain, boring, 1990’s vibes.

We came to voodoo as we were going to the Rio hotel to watch a show. We arrived around 6pm and got the lift to the 50th floor for the restaurant. We were taken to our table and the view was amazing! We both ordered steaks and added two side dishes to go with our meal (macaroni cheese and wedges). The wedges were HUGE!! The staff were really helpful at voodoo and gave us the opportunity to go outside onto the balcony to look at the view of the Las Vegas strip. Our server John was bubbly, polite and made us laugh the whole time we were in there!! If you eat at the voodoo steakhouse you get free access to the voodoo nightclub that night too.. just make sure you keep hold of your receipt! Defo worth a visit here though, food and view!!

If your after a good steak the Voodoo steakhouse on top of the Rio All Suites is a great place to go. Even though I typically like a little more salt the steak was cooked to perfection and very tender. The view from 52 stories high is a must if staying at the Rio.

This place was amazing! We had the dinner for two, tomahawk steak and it was wonderful. Cooked exactly how we ordered, seasoned perfectly. The wine pairing was perfect as was the delicious dessert. Well worth the money!

Outstanding food and service. One of us had the lamb chops (literally the best lamb either of us have ever had) and the other a filet, perfectly cooked with excellent accompaniments. Dessert was creme brûlée and was equally amazing. Perfect food, perfect wine, and amazing views from the 50th floor. Couldn’t find a single fault.

Pluses - you have the view, either from the restaurant or from the balcony. Magnificent. Mac'n'cheese with lobster really nice, one can eat only this. Minuses - dark, even the big windows do not help. Steaks - average, mine was also mixed up with another cut. Oh well. At least one can pay with Ceasar reward points

The meat is very delicious, tender and well prepared (grilled), service is perfect and the ambience is unique, you can see and enjoy the food and Las Vegas from the top!

Second time going to Voodoo. Thought it was great a couple years ago and love the rooftop view of the strip. This year, it wasn't good at all except the service. Our waiter was super nice. I ordered the tasting menu. The lobster bisque had no chunks of lobster in it and reminded me more of a simple tomato soup. The surf and turf was overcooked - Lobster was tough and steak was medium rather than medium rare. They were out of creme brulee so I got the cheesecake, which was the best course. There are a lot of great (and new) restaurants in Vegas, I would recommend trying something on a strip. I know I will not be going back Voodoo anytime soon.

Great views from the restaurant. The service was very good and attentive. I had crab cake as first course which was very good and I think was all crab. Second course was Caesar salad and above average. I finished with the the 8 oz Filet Mignon medium rare. It was cooked correctly and cut with ease. It tasted very good and was probably one of the better steaks I have had in a while.

The menu is pretty unique, but the fare offered was not up to par with the pricing, which is pretty typical of the Las Vegas scene. Most hotels will offer the medicore food fare, you may want to spend the extra cash on an Uber/Lyft to get a better steak elsewhere.

What an amazing dinner experience! Our server, John, made a client dinner truly special, treating us like VIPs from start to finish. His attentiveness and helpful recommendations were much appreciated. Beyond the impeccable service, the food was absolutely delicious, and the 50th-floor views overlooking the Las Vegas Strip were simply stunning. I'll be back, and I'll be asking for John!

I treated my brother and sister-in-law to dinner at the Voodoo lounge and we loved it. The service is spectacular, as is the view. The food is wonderful. We would recommend everything. We had the cheese platter for appetizer. My sister-in-law & brother had the steak. Our vegetables were the asparagus which were great & we had the garlic mashed - highly recommend. I had the lobster, shrimp and steak meal and it was out of this world. I've been to this restaurant over the years and never had a bad experience.

I was surprised with a birthday dinner (thought it was us going out to eat) with special treatment from the staff. Our waiter was very attentive to all of our needs and the maitre'd made me a special drink that was poured over dry ice with a fog coming off the drink and bubbling effects. It was awesome. They also sang to me and gave me a delicious chocolate mousse cake with raspberry drizzle. We all had to share it was so good. A very special evening for sure.

We went for our 25th wedding anniversary. My filet was tough and over cooked, lobster was ok. My husbands tomahawk steak was good. The side dishes were ok. View was great. Would not go back. Pay way too much for what you get and food wasn't very good.

This was our 9the or 10th trip to the Voo Doo and we must say it was great as ever. We have NEVER had a bad meal or drink here. Billy the head waiter is great and had the opportunity to meet with Paul the manager. Looking foreward to Oct 2024 to see them as we will be returing with a farily large group. People complain about price but you get what you pay for and I feel we have always got our money's worth here.

Great service. Good food. 4 out of 5. I'd recommend. Extensive selection of appetizers and entrees. Staff and Waiter very attentive!

Took a chance eating at this restaurant at the top of the Rio hotel. Decor and atmosphere is tired, as is the hotel property. Food was expensive, like a high end steakhouse, but quality was average. So many better options in Las Vegas today. Time for a remodel and redo of menu.

My boyfriend and I had dinner at the voodoo steakhouse in the RIO and i was amazing. The view was magnificent the service was excellent but the food ! Oh the food !...... so yummy!. I had a steak and lobster and every bite was amazing ! My boyfriend had the wagyu beef it was mouth watering. I highly recommend this place !

My husband and I dined here on our must recent trip to Vegas and I am so glad we did. We had an EXCELLENT meal and the service was wonderful. I had the rib eye and my husband had the pork chop and both were scrumptious. Our server, I am sorry I don’t have a name, was great. We started with Caesar salads and they were fabulous also. The view is great , you can see the entire strip. After dinner you can go onto the sky deck and really get some great pictures of Vegas. Be warned , you are 50 stories up, so if you are afraid of heights, just suck it up and enjoy the view. We will definitely be back. Thanks Voodoo for a great meal and a great experience.

We went to celebrate our 10 year anniversary. The person confirming our reservation at the elevator was nice and likewise for the hostess once upstairs. She recognized our anniversary and chatted a bit before seated. The view over the city is marvelous. We definitely enjoy a great view and the night sky was tremendous. There is an outdoor area, where we assumed is for dancing. We went out on the deck and from various angles we took it all in. There was music playing and we were out there for a bit. It provides a great backdrop for pictures. However, our serve was less than stellar. We have eaten in a variety of restaurants and when one is in this type of restaurant...well, I expect more. He, I believe his name was, José, was rather bland. He was not rude, however, it was surprising how he lacked engagement with us...no sincerity. He did not ask if there was a special occasion and we assumed he was not aware that it was our anniversary...really disappointing. We were not particularly hungry, and we had tickets to a show with little time with no time for unplanned leisure. So, not too much stood out on the menu with not much of an appetite. I ordered a Blue Lump Crab Cake and the Voodoo Fried Wedges. I do not recall what my husband ordered, but considering he chose the restaurant, he was not impressed. He is easily pleased with descent food. The crab cake was quite flavorful, but the fried wedges were awful. I could not eat them and even my husband did not enjoy. It was apparent we did not enjoy them as the entire plate was full. Our server did not seem to notice or perhaps we were not a priority based on we did not order a lot due to not really being hungry. I mentioned how it was not as expected. His exact response was, "What do you want me to do about it?" Really? I refrained from what my inner thoughts were. Nothing apologetic or anything...super disappointing. We had considered returning since we were in Las Vegas for several days to have a dinner on an evening we were hungry. However, it was nothing special for us. Yes, the view was fabulous but we appreciate good service. Please note we can easily spend $150-200 at this type of restaurant, so cost does not really concern us when it is good food and service. Since it totally lacked for both of us, we decided not to return. If we had a different experience with our server, I know we would have returned before our trip was over to try their steak and other menu options. There have been many other reviews which have had favorable reviews. So, I would hope our experience is an anomaly, because it really has a great view and outdoor deck.

The Service provided by Billy our server was top notch. From beginning to end he was spot on with everything. Timing, Suggestions, Style of service, He did not miss a beat! We sat down at 6pm at the exact time of reservation which was nice! At this time the restaurant was kind of on the slower side. When we left at 730pm there was not a table open i must say though! So we were happy we went at 6pm! Now for the food! Started off with the wife having a Ceasar salad while I had a Wedge salad we both loved them from the lettuce to the dressings! the wine list was amazing. For our Entrees we both ordered 10 oz Filet and they were cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth! Top notch Meat we come to Vegas quarterly and this is by far our favorite and actually the cheapest out of the 12 we have been to over the last few years! Those include some pretty big names and high dollar spots on the strip also. Now for the sides I ordered THE CREAM CORN AND IT WAS THE BEST I EVER HAD!!!! THE WIDE GOT LOBSTER MAC AND CHEESE AND IT HAD A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF LOBSTER IT WAS DELIGHTFUL! SHAREABLE SIDES ETC. DID I MENTION THE VIEWS!? IT WAS OVER ALL AMAZING AND WE WILL BE BACK! WE WILL REQUEST BILLY ALSO!

My husband and went to restaurant with another couple. Out of our 4 people, only 1 was really happy with the meal. My husband's steak was over cooked, the risotto was bland and had little to no flavour. For the overcooked steak, the waiter comped a free mixed drink. The artichokes were tough to eat and the goat cheese and beet salad, although tasty, I would have liked to have less goat cheese and more beets! The view is fantastic (on the 50th floor), but I felt it is over-rated and too expensive to really enjoy. Unfortunately, 3 out of 4 of us were disappointed.

Interesting location. 51st floor great view of parking lots. Service was on point and food was exaxtly as ordered.we shared everything crab cake app. Cesar salad and rib eye steak with risotto on the side. Am not the biggest eater but we couldn't finish. Priced as expected of a 5 star steak house.

I had no idea what to expect other than some great reviews, but, this place lived up to everyone of them. At 50 floors up at the Rio, you are taken through a short darkened maze and into a very cool vibe with incredible views of the Vegas strip. The service was impeccable and then there was the food. Ah!!! I had the French Onion soup and my husband had the Lobster Bisque. Both were incredible. Then onto his steak which was equally as good and I had a crab cake which was as good as I'd get back East. Desserts were amazing and I had to add the picture of our Banana Chocolate Bomb. Please try this place.. you WON'T be disappointed!

The food was nice, on the higher end of costs . View was good but our waiter was abrupt and disinterested , he put a dampener on our meal. Disappointing from a service perspective.

Absolutely amazing experience! Our waiter, Billy took great care of us from the decanting of our wine all the way through the crème brûlée. The views were stunning on the deck.

We were able to book reservations weeks in advance! You are warned it's a creepy walk to get to, dark lit, no clear directions. The waiter was ok would have been better to start off with cocktail and wine list or give recommendations. Food was good but not sure worth the pricing, and didnt appreciate being argued with on how I wanted steak made. The view is what really made the night.

I've ate at plenty of steak joints, very rarely i leave reviews. I always start off with a cocktail, mostly a Manhattan unless they have the gall to offer something interesting like a NY Sour. I ordered a Manhattan and it was easily the worst i've had in a very long time. Watery, couldn't taste the bourbon, a splash of the cherry juice for no reason (wasn't listed on the ingredient list or i would have asked to exclude). Overall the food was alright. Alright for a normal restaurant, but when you are paying Vegas strip prices for off strip it hurts a little. When you look at the menu, the steaks are 'Choice', at 65.99. I've never seen Choice steaks at that price. For comparison, that's the price point of Prime NY strips at Cut, Delmonico , etc, it's absurd to charge that much for Choice. We asked the waiter what he recommends for steaks here, "It really depends on what you like", non answer followed... ok, we'll take this steak, how do you recommend we ask it cooked, "well that depends on what you like", more non-answers. Recently at Harlo, asked how the waiter would recommend to cook the cap steak i ordered and, "While normally it's recommended med-rare, I'd suggest Medium for this cut,". Our waiter was super new, would have been better to say, "I don't eat steak, can't say" then give vague non-answers... more genuine. If you don't know anything just say that. I ordered the Wagyu Ribeye, it was 80$, it was less than a half inch thick. It was cooked correctly but under seasoned. I didn't know what was off about it, until my friend mentioned his steak needed salt. I don't eat fast food, mostly cook for myself.. this steak was the least seasoned steak I've had at a restaurant. The sides we ordered, blue cheese taters, mushrooms, mac n cheese. Taters were alright, cooked correctly. Mac n cheese was alright, a little runny but that is how some people cook it, so whatever. Mushrooms were overly garlic, hard to taste the shrooms with so much garlic and butter. All were 'alright', probably lacking salt... Going to say here... salt is very personal, but as i said, i don't over salt anything, i don't eat fast food or frozen foods, there is properly seasoned and the food here isn't salted at all, and there is no salt on the table. We chose to skip desert... To be Fair, at normal fine dining i like to order a cocktail, another drink with dinner, a port with desert.... the first cocktail threw me so far off i had to skip things. Again, the food was adequate, and i figure if people aren't used to Vegas steak houses they may be impressed, but for this price point, in this town, this falls very flat. With the what must be new line cooks in the back, should have Salt on the table... sad but, whatever. The view was very nice, if they put an anti-reflective coating on the inside of the windows you would be able to enjoy it.. but mostly you see the lighting reflecting back at you.

Went here for my husband's birthday dinner, and it did not disappoint. This was one of the best, if not the best meal, we had the entire trip. My husband ordered the scallops and I had a filet mignon. Absolutely wonderful! Everything had an amazing flavor and was cooked to perfection. I can't remember if the desert was free or not, but it was tasty as well! But the view is one you just can't beat, especially at night! Floor to ceiling windows that show off a spectacular view of the strip you just don't get staying on the strip. Would highly recommend to put on your "must do" list for Vegas!

We got a fabulous table. We were celebrating a special occasion and the staff was very attentive and nice. The food was super yummy AND they brought us an amazing dessert. Will definitely go back. The view is awesome as well.

Good food and service. Go around 7 to watch the sun set and watch the Vegas lights come on. Be sure to go out to the deck before and after dinner to see the sun set view and night time view. Be careful of the huge $45 dollar drinks unless money is not a thing. They put dry ice in it to make it smoke which is cool. You also get free admission to the night club if you keep your receipt.

50 stories above the ground gives you a magnificent view of the Strip! Stroll out to the open-air deck and you feel part of the energy! Order from the menu and you experience heavenly delight! I ordered the " manange au trois" (Filet mignon, lobster tail and shrimp) and was glad I did. My wife ordered the scallops and said they were delicious. The service is personable, friendly, efficient and prompt. The vibe of the room is energetic and cool. Its someplace everyone should experience at least once. We felt the prices were reasonable, but if you are a local, the prices are great because you get a 25% reduction with proof of local residency. What a deal! Go for it, you can't lose.

I looked forward to this reservation so much I made it before leaving Florida and made it my first stop off the plane, the entire experience was terrible, never even made it to the entree before leaving between the drunk vulgar men and asking to be just moved and met with disapproval from staff.

We visited for our 40th birthdays. If you go, make sure you get a sunset reservation to get the full effect. Go out to the patio and you get to see an incredible view of the strip. If you're daring, you can ride the zipline. The food is amazing and the service is top-notch. We got complimentary champagne for it being our birthdays. Also recommend getting the Witch Doctor drink if you're a first-timer to the restaurant. It's an experience all on it's own.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary dinner at VooDoo steak, and the meal could not have been more perfect. They have changed up the menu a bit, providing a few more choices. We both had the filet and lobster...the lobster was huge and delicious...melt in your mouth delicious. Both our steaks were also cooked perfectly. I had the Caesar salad, my wife the French Onion soup, and both were great. While the food was amazing, the service was absolutely wonderful. Our server, Jacinto was probably the best I have ever experienced. He was knowledgeable, thoughtful, and always there at the right time. His suggestions were sincere and we came away convinced that he really cared about us. The view is the best in Vegas...as is the food.

A high end steak house near the top level of the Rio All-Suites Hotel in Las Vegas. The menu has classic steakhouse fare. The food tastes good and portions are quite large. The wait staff is very attentive. The views of the Las Vegas Strip as seen in the restaurant and the adjacent outdoor observation deck (about 54 stories up!) are very memorable.

Good breakfast. Pancakes are huge, each serving will feed 4 kids. Steak and eggs are delicious. If you are planning to use the Valet, do not check in after dark, always a long line, numerous times I experience, nothing changed.

This place has a dark, kind of dreary feel at night. It felt crowded, noisy and impersonal. They lost me when they sent out oysters past their “sell by” date. They were emaciated and dry from being in the frig too long. I hate it when they send something out instead of eating the loss and discarding it. That shows a lack of respect for me. The crab cake was hard around edges and too salty. My fish was ok and a salad was pretty but very small. Not one of our better Vegas dining experiences.

The food and the service are exactly what one expects at an expensive restaurant: excellent. A great place for a special occassinon.

Food was not the best. It was a bit under seasoned. The voodoo drink was really good though. The view is spectacular as well.

Obviously an amazing view, but the food was even better! The server was great and had very good suggestions! The macaroni and cheese and lobster were wonderful and the steaks were out of this world! One of my favorite steak houses in the country, and my favorite in all of Vegas! You must go to the Voo Doo Steak House!!

Our steaks melted in your mouth. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I believe the restaurant is on the 52nd floor. Our waiter sat us next to the windows, which had a great view. He recommended for us go out on the deck while they were preparing our food. We were there at night, and what a surprise out there. They have a large deck with seating. This is also where you can go on their Zip line, which takes you from the top of the casino, down and across to their hotel. The Hotel looks close, but when you are watching the people on the zip line, they look like specs by the time they get to the otherside. Then they return the people "backwards". Looked like a lot of fun if yo aren't afraid of heights. The view from the deck had probably a good 180 degree view of all of Las Vegas. What a beautiful site. It's pricey, but again, the food was excellent, and the staff were great.

Very good food, Steak was outstanding, atmosphere was quite nice and outdoor deck views were awesome

Great seat by the window, can see the vegas lights. The food was all very delious specially the lobster. The service was great. The dessert was too much.

This restaurant is located on the 50th floor of the Rio and probably the only decent restaurant in the hotel/casino. The cocktail selection is very good and you can order a drink and enjoy it on the patio. Because you are not on the strip, the view is decent but not amazing. You are backing the line of hotels so it is missing some of the awe but still pretty cool. The food is good. Steak was cooked perfect, baked potato was the size of a football and veg was tasty. Bread was just so-so. Standard steakhouse fare but very good. Service was fantastic. My server Sam was perfect. Attentive but not annoying and very accommodating and helpful with menu selections. Overall, pretty good.

We are a nice family from Iowa, visiting Las Vegas to celebrate my husband's 70th birthday. Our kids are from all over the country and are in their late 30's. Sound like a gang of rowdy desperadoes? We visit Vegas several times a year and always include a trip up to the Voodoo Lounge on the top of the Rio Hotel in our itinerary. No more. In keeping with the 70th birthday theme, we all dressed up in clothing from the 70's. We played miniature golf at the KISS black light golf course in the Rio, then tried to go up to the Voodoo Lounge. We hadn't made dinner plans yet, so we were even contemplating eating in the Voodoo steak house. The guard at the bottom of the elevator turned us away because one of the men was wearing sandals. Yes, there is a dress code, but it was a costume and all of the women were in sandals, too. Also, it was 9:00 on a Sunday night, and we weren't drunk or loud.We are also Diamond Members of the Total Rewards Club affiliated with the Rio casino. So the man in sandals said he'd stay back. The rest of us went up but were turned away at the top because they were "Full to capacity." A man we rode down with on the elevator said there was no one there, and that's why he was leaving. We were 8 people who would have had drinks and maybe dinner. $$$ to the hotel. Plus the security guard was rude and arrogant and treated us horribly. Go see the Vegas sights from the top of the Stratosphere or ride the High Roller. You will be treated better.

Beautiful view of the city from our seats! Celebrated wife's 50th birthday and it was well worth it! Fairly pricey but the quality of the food and service was well worth it!

Ate at the bar. Split appetizer and main course with the wife. Shared the witchdoctor drink. Then split dessert. It was all very good.

Visited on Saturday, November 26 with family. Great service and great views of the Vegas Strip, but the steak and fish main courses tasted below average at best and everything was incredibly over-priced with no value to be had. They also messed up 2 drink orders and the white rice as a side dish was awful.

Attending a conference, tired and starved! Strolled Rio for a place to eat...and found this gem. Had a fantastic dinner and superb service. Dry aged bone-in Ribeye...cooked just the way I like it (better)! The baked potato was also perfect...just plain! The Caesar salad was truly one of the best I ever had, crunchy greens and a delicious anchovy heady dressing. YUM! While I had dinner alone, and missed my wife Jane, I had a warm experience and enjoyed the view. Thank you!

We were looking forward to a nice fancy dinner at the Voodoo Steak at the Rio. We were the first customers that evening and the hostess took us to what she said was a great table. It was next to the window, however, the window was filthy. It was not only spotted with water spots; it had a large black streak. So much for enjoying the view! Service was excellent and elegant -- thanks to Jose and the bus person (I didn't get his name). The food, halibut, lobster bisque, Caesar salad, and onion soup was good, portions were generous, but everything was too salty. The bread baskets were great. The decor is elegant, but again, if you advertise the view, make sure the windows are spotless!

This was just not good at all. The only thing good about it (and I truly mean the only thing) was the view. We had a decent table. It wasn't a window but it was a banquette facing out. The service was not good. It was very slow. Our food took forever but then our server hovered over us, waiting for the check. We shared the wedge and it was very mediocre. We had the short rib bruschetta and it wasn't bad but wasn't anything to write home about either. My filet mignon just wasn't good at all. It was dry and pretty flavorless. The bernaise sauce tasted like melted butter with a drop of cheap seasoning. My boyfriend's rib eye was edible but not great. They didn't have great side options so we had mashed potatoes and asparagus. There were chunks of raw potatoes in the mashed potatoes and the asparagus wasn't worth eating. It's sad that the supposedly high end restaurant in the hotel was really quite terrible.

We decided to come here for dinner before the Penn & Teller show (that's in the same complex). The food was excellent and the service goes above and beyond! The extra perk - they're on the top floor of the building and have a huge terrace overlooking Vegas and the mountains. After a superb dinner, we sat out there watching the sunset.

I was over at the Rio (lots of neat changes occuring) and decided on the Voodoo Steak House. Open elevator to the rooftop don't look down if you don't like heights. Had a window seat. A fantasic surrounding view. Deck had party for influencers but we wandered about. Great picture taking. Now the food. Steaks just amazing one salmon was very good. Ribeye is wonderful. Great wine combos. What a great night in a steak lounge I've always wondered about. It was busy. For good reason. Enjoy.

Booked. Pre ordered meal. Starter was eaten in under 30 seconds & we waited over 30 mins - almost an hour. Was not worth the wait. At all. They encouraged us to “go to the bar” a lot. Main was decent enough didn’t get chance to finish it because we had a show to go to and we were running very late. The dessert was horrible! Service overall was decent but they took far too long to bring the food out.

This year in Vegas we decided to celebrate our 40th anniversary at Voodoo Steak at the Rio. The meal was superb, steaks perfectly cooked. This review would be a “5” if our waiter had a better grip of his job...he was not informative as far as specials go.......he also was very scarce, he would be gone for almost a half hour before checking on us....

We had dinner with friends here for the first time. The food was great, service was great, and the wine selection was fantastic. Awesome view of the city

The service was excellent, from the waiter to the wait staff. The food was very good...not outstanding for the prices though. I've had better steaks for half the price. View was wonderful. The one thing (that maybe the restaurant couldn't have done anything about) that was very disturbing was the noise level. My wife and I had to get nose to nose to hear each other. There was a table for a wedding with four "men" and four "women" getting very loud across the room. Then, a table of six March Madness men got seated next to them. So they had to get loud in order to be heard. In hindsight, I should've asked to be moved to another part of the restaurant. Too bad there isn't a room for loud parties. Kinda spoiled it all for us.

May 2021 - My party had 4 people, and this cost a fortune for terrible food and service! The lobster bisque tasted like Campbell's tomato soup! We all tried our friend's french onion soup, and it tasted like Lipton cup o soup watered down! The salmon our friend had was dry. My king crab was freezer burned and served ice cold. The steak was very good, but that was it. Our sides were all awful, the bleu cheese au gratin potatoes are just too strong, the vegetables were raw - not a dente-- RAW. The waiter took our drink order and messed it up, brought us another table's drinks. When we got the drinks, one of our party got a "garden mule" that she sent back as we all agreed it tasted like after shave! Horrible experience, the food was not worth a fraction of the price, and service was inexcusable. And it was about $150 a plate. You shouldn't have to wait for anything at that price, and the waiter should get it straight. And food that price should be unbelievably good, not terrible. Save your money, go elsewhere! Try Other Momma's, well worth the taxi ride over, fantastic food and service!

We were hoping for a nice dinner with a view! Unfortunately, the windows in the restaurant are coated with something so dark that you can barely see outside. The food was pricey, but OK. However, due to major construction on the property, we had a worker on a scaffold directly on the other side of the window by our table. He had lights shining into our faces for most of our meal. The staff was apologetic, but said there was nothing they could do. No compensation or alteration to our bill was offered. We just ate our meal, and got out of there as fast as we could.

This place sits near the top of the Rio, with great views from all the windows of the strip below you. So when it comes to that, its pretty hard to beat. The food there has been good. We have ordered the Menage multiple times (Steak, Lobster, and Shrimp). Its a bit pricey for the portions that you get, but pretty much in line with what you would expect in Vegas. There has never been an issue with taste. The presentation of the dish could be a little better. For the price, and it being one of their signature dishes, I would expect more creative plating than how they bring it out. The service has been usually good. Sometimes its a bit slower, even when its less crowded, but not so much that it takes away from the experience. It would be nicer if it was a bit clearer where it was in the casino. The first time being there we had to ask a couple of times where it was. Most of the signage in the casinos tries to make it as easy as possible to find something. Not so much here. That's not really a reflection on the restaurant as it is the Rio, but it was slightly annoying.

This place had the biggest filet I have ever seen! We had the chefs special which included a filet, asparagus and creme brûlée. The hostess set us at a booth and I asked to move to the window of the panorama and I heard the other waiters laughing behind me noting I asked to move. The waiter who served us seemed surprised when I asked for more delicious raisin bread and then surprised again when I asked for my steak to go.. lol maybe not the place to take leftovers but if the meal is $250 they’re coming home for lunch tomorrow :P we didn’t stay in Vegas and our place had a full kitchen so we could reheat our steak. A little uppity but we went in jeans. Ambiance is beautiful and the rooftop area is worth stepping out and snapping a picture of the skyline. This was located off the strip a little and the only option at the Rio for a nice meal prior to attending the comedy cellar show.

Had Business Dinner w/Wife and 3 Business associates at Voodoo Steakhouse, Service was Excellent, Food Very Good, Sea Bass,Rib Eye and Pork Chop, desert was a Treat !! Very good presentation, Did not get Close View Table to windows But City Light s were Amazing addition to an Amazing Dinner

Very disappointed in such a premium venue, not only did we have to send back the lobster tails, every one of us (we were a group of 9) had duplicate charges made on our credit cards!

Came here with my husband & vegan daughter, I ordered the fillet steak, my husband ordered the flat iron steak with mac n cheese, my vegan daughter struggled to find anything on the menu so ordered the baked potato with vegetable side dishes. Whilst we were waiting for our food to arrive we went outside to the outdoor balcony with spectacular views over Vegas & took some fantastic photos. The food was amazing along with the service of our waiter named John Murray. Arrived without a reservation so am grateful they found us a table.

Food is too salty, high in calories, high in carbohydrates, all entrees covered in sauces either high in sugar or spices, and trouble staying warm long. All menus lack good choices for fresh, healthy, low calorie, low salt diets and healthy eating. Food pricing has hit ridiculous levels requiring $30-$100 per meal. I suggest you go off strip to eat....... I did.... and got a much better meal and value!! Resort Fees are astronomical, provide lack lustre value per dollar spent, and rapidly depleted your vacation dollars. Again, I suggest you stay off strip, and rent a car. Save yourself some money!

We had pre paid for the premium drinks package and 3 course meal at $165 a head. Our first server Jose was miserable, rude and inattentive. Seemed he’ll bent of getting us out of the restaurant as fast as possible. Even though we had a 3 hr prepaid drinks package. After one of our friends complained we had Sal the F&B manager look after us and the evening took a 180 for the better. Sal couldn’t do enough for us. He was polite, friendly and accommodating. We will be back but only if Sal is working!

Hard to find but great food. Service good too. So far from the sea but super good oysters on the 1/2 shell

Went for our diamond celebration meal and were not disappointed. Even in a full restaurant the tables are well spaced that it felt intimate for private dinner. Wait staff was attentive without hovering. Food was wonderful but know that one side could easily feed 2-4 people so as a couple no need to order two unless looking for variety and leftovers.

do not order the Weygu steak it was expensive and not worth the money, service was ok but our waiter tried to tell us we should have ordered our steaks cooked médium instead of médium rare and that was the reason that our steaks were tough.

I came here with my family on February 12th to celebrate my Sister’s 21st birthday, before seeing Penn and Teller. The staff were so accommodating and really helpful. They made my sister a special cocktail for her birthday and they’re really conscious of keeping track of time for you as they’re aware people are often seeing a show afterwards. The steak was exquisite, my partner has a 32oz tomahawk with a side of asparagus. The side portions are very generous! Fabulous setting inside, beautiful decor and lighting. The outside is spectacular where you see all over the strip.

I went to the Voodoo Steakhouse with a couple of friends during the 2018 World Series of Poker at the Rio. The 28 day Dry Ages ribeye was delicious. It melted I. Your mouth and was bursting with flavor. We had the Parmesan fries and a wedge salad to go with the steaks. One friend decided to go with the filet minon but wished she had gotten the ribeye after trying a bite. I tried her filet and it was excellent but no comparison to the ribeye. The view was nice. I would of liked to have been further around to see more of the strip but it was still nice. The wait staff was very nice and pleasant.

We booked VooDoo steak as a pre meal to Penn and Teller. We had reservations, confirmation and everything. When we arrived, it was closed " due to filming" there was no effort made to contact us or cancel our reservation. We will avoid Rio going forward... others were also arriving and stated it was typical of that establishment. Beware. The lady that greeted us stated the manager Tony would be coming to see us at their other restaurant as we had to eat.. and he completely blew us off.. this is the main reason why I'm writing this., obviously they don't care !

The view from the fiftieth floor is breathtaking. Wait staff fun and efficient. The asparagus is to die for..

Six of us dined here for a birthday dinner. Manager visited us and the waiter John was very attentive and ensured we were well taken care of. SInce it was my sister-in-law's birthday, they served her a voodoo drink in a special glass case. What a special touch that she enjoyed immensely. Had the menage-a-trois (filet/lobster tail/prawn shrimp), the meal was fantastic. Just an overall great experience by all. Added bonus, you can find 20% off coupons in the lobby of the hotel with purchase of a show ticket. Well worth it!

AMAZING, AMAZING, AMAZING!! If you go to Vegas this is a must. The view at night was so good, the food was absolutely perfect, the service was exceptional. We booked at the last minute for our anniversary, they made it so special for us without us asking and so happily. We will be telling everyone we know who goes to Vegas this is a must. We had the steak and the chicken mains and shared a wedges. Neither of us could fault our meals. This place was worth every cent! I wish I remembered our servers name because he was brilliant!

Voodoo steakhouse was the food highlight of my trip to Las Vegas. I had the 28 day wet aged New York cut. Was absolutely perfect. I also had the mac and cheese side, was excellent. Price was in line for what I got.

First a positive. Our waiter Raul was great and the food was outstanding. My husband ordered the seafood platter (Maine lobster, shrimp, king crab and oyster shooters) and I ordered the 8oz. Filet mignon - Oscar with a baked potato. We blame ourselves for not rejecting where the hostess seated us, but just an FYI, when you are entering the restaurant request a table to the left. The windows are cleaner, the seating is a bit more spacious and the skyline view is much better. Where we were seated it was cramped, the view was less than ideal and the windows were so dirty it would have been better to have been seated away from the windows completely. The manager commented on the dirty windows with an excuse about rain and wind, but it was pretty obvious this filth had been there awhile. Our hotel room windows weren't that filthy, nor were other tower spaces we visted. Enjoyed the food but overall we were extremely disappointed.
Average steakhouse
We went for late dinner on May 26th .We had the grilled octopus which was very good and not what was expected .My wife had the chicken which was succulent and the mushrooms which was cooked nicely. Now for the main event which I was looking forward to the grass fed Kansas strip . This is basically a ny strip for eastern America. The steak was like I got it from stop and shop . IT was so bland .I have really not had grass fed steak before but I was under the assumption that it would blow me away but it didn't. Service was great but a little slow .The window view was really great ,we were in awe at the beauty . After dinner we wanted to go up to the lounge but security told us that we would have to go back downstairs and get checked it. This was very inconvenient and we just left . They should check you in before going to the restaurant so that after dinner you can't just walk up the flight of stairs into the lounge. This basically ruined our clubbing for the night so we went back to caesars place and went to Cleopatra lounge .I would not be back to Voodoo steakhouse or lounge .
