The best donuts ever. So big with great flavor. I would make this a stop if visiting Austin. You can't go wrong.

This used to be THE spot for donuts. Its going down hill. Place was empty on a Thursday night. Donuts were not as fresh as normal. I won't go back.

Amazing donuts! Recommend the Grape Ape and The Homer! You'll be in line for a while but don't be discouraged it's worth the wait!

The donuts are great. Combos and flavors you wouldn't expect. The line can be long but well worth the wait. Definitely a destination experience...

Very cool atmosphere with average tasting donuts (some with unique names). Definitely a place worth stopping while visiting Austin!

I was soo tempted not by the doughnuts soo much but by the coffee mugs and the snap back caps that they had. They were in the rotating display by the counters i should have bought the hat. The donuts I think because they are very created are over whelming for me but i bought 2 and a salted caramel high brew because they dont sell iced coffee đ i have portland cream with me rather than a boston cream and a raised glaze.

I love that doughnuts are no longer the basic glazed or cake variety. These doughnuts were amazing!!!! I got the Captain Crunch and a Cherry Lemon concoction that was sweet and tart. OMG!!! They both were divine!!! I am upset I forgot to photograph them. If in Austin you MUST stop in and get a âleveled upâ doughnut or 2 or 3.

Not sure what all the hype is about. The doughnuts were odd and trying too hard to be cool. Not that tasty and were overpriced. If you are drunk and have the munchies on 6th street I guess it might make sense, and I imagine they get a lot of their customers that way.

We were hooked after sampling Portland's original Voodoo Doughnuts way back when. It finally arrived in Austin a few years back, keeping Austin weird. Check out the art (e.g., donut tree) and decor. Plenty of tasty donuts to choose from. Perfect late night dessert/snack.

We ordered on line for pick up the next day. When we arrive at store we called and told them where we parked so the could run out the box to the car. We were informed they didnât have staff to run it out would I come in and get it. It was early in the day and the homeless were out in force. I walked in and bypassed the line to pick up doughnuts. They were putting the very fresh treats into the pink box. It worked out ok, we got our treats, didnât wait in line but did not have car delivery.

This place came recommended to us and it was delicious! We were so lucky it was across the street from our Airbnb. Best donuts ever! The staff were so kind and you can see why the line is out the door. They're open 6 am till 3 am and they have so much to choose from! The inside is a big store with a sit down area too. We could have ate here multiple times a day if we weren't here for a short amount of time

I was walking by with my wife after dinner. I am NOT usually a donught guy. However, my wife insisted and I am pleased I stayed. Interesting choices - in the though, I just had and Old Fashioned. Definitely worth trying out.

Iâm not typically a donut person but Iâm glad we went! They were delicious! Fluffy dough and fun great flavors. The hibiscus was my favorite! The only complaint we had was that the cereal was very stale.

When my wife and I went on a weekend getaway to Austin, our family insisted that we pick up some Voodoo doughnuts to to bring back for everyone to enjoy. I figured they must be good, because with Shirleyâs available to request anything else must mean that theyâre next-level good. The first thing that struck me when we got there was the variety. In addition to the sort of selection one usually finds in a doughnut shop there were others of a variety that were quite unique. These mixed flavors and toppings that you usually donât see in doughnuts, such as bubble gum, bacon, and even cereal. As we were buying for a group we picked up a variety of different flavors, which we shared when we returned. Simply put there wasnât a bad one among them. Each bite was flavorful, and the variety available meant that there was something for practically every taste. Now I get why they enjoy the reputation they deserve, and I definitely plan on returning the next time that I have the opportunity to do so.

We had to check this place out because everyone raves about it. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. Cool concept but the donuts taste like regular donuts with stuff on top. Be prepared to get messy because no plates or forks. The staff was not friendly and the restaurant unclean with a homeless man the first sight walking in. We will not be returning.

Cool place. Very popular. Enjoyed my chocolate donut. Very large. They sell lots of merchandise on top of having many donuts to choose from.

The doughnuts were good but I got the wrong doughnuts. I asked for the raspberry romeo (with the filling) and a guava colada in my order but neither had any filling. Didn't realize it til I got home though. They're not cheap either. The lady I placed the order with as well was very impatient with all her customers as well, seemed generally annoyed and snappy.

These donuts are amazing. Such unique flavors and they are all delicious. Just be careful you may go home with extra pounds.

Recommended by a friend, this place is worth it. Wacky donuts like ones topped with Cap'n Crunch, decorated like a voodoo doll, or covered in bacon wait for you. And those are only a few examples. We had a wait of about 10 minutes in line, but it was pleasant. This place totally fits in with the Austin vibe. The prices are more reasonable than I expected, so that was a plus. The donuts are not just cutesy - they're actually really delicious. Staff members were nice and not "too cool" - they seemed genuinely happy to help.

Voodoo was a great find on our trip to Austin! The Maple Crème is a must. Dirt and Blueberry are awesome also. To quote the people at Pringles, I bet you canât eat just one!

Place is cute. Donuts are creative. Did not taste as good as they looked. They were good but not OMG. Tourist stop but not a must have.

I just saw this place by chancing and I wasn't really looking for a doughnut place. I was surprised by the voodoo image, that's was interesting and creative for sure. If you want to go to a unique store and have all sorts of doughnuts, you will love this place. I loved my voodoo doll doughnuts, yummy...

I love all the crazy kind of doughnuts. They are so fresh and so good!! The place is busy but they serve you fast!

If u want a weird doughnut with crazy toppings and fillings this is your place. I very much enjoy a simple classic doughnut. I got a maple bar and it was ok. My friend got a crazy loaded doughnut and he enjoyed it.

The best vegan doughnuts with the most cheerful staff! Highly recommend! Crowd pleaser! Best weekend treat!

We were looking for a sweet snack or some kind of nibble after having a few drinks out on the town of Austin. We were so glad to have stumbled upon this place! The fact that there was a line for the doughnuts should really mean something. It was difficult to choose something as they all looked delicious and most of the choices were something unique and different. Yes a bit pricy, but they were deliciously fresh considering it was past midnight. If you have a major sweet tooth, these doughnuts should do the job to curb it!

Donuts were good and so unique. Loved the turn table that displayed all the donut varieties. Location was fun and interior were lovely in all pink. Yum!

Iâve heard about Voodoo for years and have always wanted to try so it was a must while visiting Austin for the weekend. We ordered 6 donuts and only one was soft and fresh. The others were not great all. Not sure if the quality has gone down, or if Iâm spoiled by the amazing donut shop near my house in Pembroke Pines Fl (shoutout to Mojos donuts!)

The meal was very good the donuts were fresh with unique tastes, however line can grow long.Love all the decor.

When I first walked in and saw the rotating choices for the day, I was overwhelmed. Too many choices, lots of fanciness â I had no idea what to pick. We left with a boxful, and out of that I will recommend the unique flavor of hibiscus, the moistness of the very large apple fritter, and above all, the freshness of the simple blueberry cake. It was the best blueberry cake doughnut Iâve ever had, almost juicy inside where the fruit was. We had a lot of doughnuts, and they were still good / not stale the next day, even with no refrigeration or microwave.

All I can say is the donuts here are amazing, they are tasty works of art. There are so many different designs and flavor choices. The donuts were so fresh tasting and the prices are reasonable. The location is a little sketchy at night, Austin has lots of homeless, just be aware of your surroundings, with that being said this is definitely a place to visit. Delicious!!

Well decorated Donuts with average or less than average in taste I've had better Donuts at s gas station Not sure what the hype is about

Very cool place. I thought I knew what I wanted, but when I got to the counter I couldnât decide. The girl who waited on me was so nice, she kept saying to take my time. We got the voodoo doll, a strawberry and two cake donuts. We havenât tried the other donuts, but ate the voodoo doll. It was SO delicious. It has a raspberry filling and chocolate icing. I might have to get another before we leave Austin. They also had a Memphis Mafia. It has banana, chocolate and peanut butter. I didnât buy that one, but it sounded good. It was large enough to feed 4 people.

I'm an Austin native and finally checked out Voodoo - not impressed - sorry Austin and sorry Voodoo. They didn't taste any different than that of HEB bakery. I thought I may have been overly critical but my husband and kids said the same thing. I see alot of the reviews are coming from people who live elsewhere. The coffee was pretty damn good and the atmosphere is very Austin-esque...the food not so much.

Really had a hard time finding this place, Google Maps isn't accurate. Had a Diablos Rex donut. There is a huge selection of donuts with different shapes, fillings and toppings. don't miss!

We just finished grabbing doughnuts here! We got an assortment and they where all delicious. I would recommend the voodoo with raspberry to stab the jelly out of it!

Went here at noonish on a chilly Sunday and got a voodoo donut and a blueberry lemon fritter. The voodoo donut is the classic raspberry jammed filled and was very good - the fritter was terrible - dense, lacking blueberry flavor and the icing had no hint of lemon.

1 hr for doughnutsâŚ.seriously no doughnuts are ever worth this queue. 1 server in a Saturday afternoon, disgraceful

Such a great spot!! The donuts are bigger than they look, so good, so creative! Great lattes also. Highly recommend for a fun breakfast or late night snack.

I have also been to Voodoo Doughnut in Portland. Quirky and unusual, I have tasted better doughnuts but it is all about the experience. Be prepared to stand in a long queue to be served. Very popular and always busy.

Great donuts. Tons of delicious choices . The mango tango and paradise donuts are my favorites. Filled donuts are large and heavy, cake donuts are light and fluffy.

Saw them on tv and had walked by on Saturday, but was super packed. Came back today had a little line. I ordered the chocolate coconut cake donut. It was worth it and I was surprised with how cheap they were.

Worth the trip! Great selection of awesomeness! Lots of varieties. Try the VooDoo donut and stab your way to a gooey surprise!

The atmosphere is eclectic and there is a live band playing. The donuts were very fresh and delicious. Expect to wait in a line to put in your order but once you order, they get the donuts to you really quickly. The donut with the fruity pebbles was pretty darn good!!

Doughnuts done well with a number of innovative offerings. The âtraditionalsâ are also good. Ordering on-line is a breeze though itâs not clear that all in-store offerings are also included. But it beats the slow-moving, long line out the door!

These are some amazing donuts. We had the bacon and maple, Bavarian creme, dirty bastard (oreos, peanut butter), and captain crunch. Not everyone could finish theirs. Decor is also whimsical. Live music was setting up while we were there. The flavors were oh so yummy! Staff very nice, and bathrooms are unisex and clean, a little odd, but that's what makes Austin weird đ. I will return next time I am in town.

OK so it is a 24-7 establishment in the heart of the weekend party district but it IS worth a trip. Whatever donut you choose you will not be disappointed. Yes, you may wait in line for 10-15 minutes but it is worth it! I wish there was a place like this in Atlanta!

Visiting Austin and Voodoo Donuts came up as a highly recommended stop. Glad we tried it. Large donuts and all kinds of fillings and toppings! Even a great raspberry jelly filled for someone who doesnât want all the extras!

I've visited several times. The place is never clean. The variety of donuts is great and the flavor usually good. The attendees seem uninterested by the most part, but thankfully now they have an ATM machine on site, Dulce they do not accept credit cards (????)

So so so so good & Im not a donut lover! Some are only $1! Open 24 hrs and at times there is a line out the door. Look at the cute pink box you can fill & take home!

Having heard of Voodoo Doughnuts from Food Network years ago, it wasn't until recently I had an opportunity to visit a city with a store. We went with the Bacon Maple Bar, Memphis Mafia and Sweet cream cannolo. Our favorite by far is the simple Bacon Maple Bar. Sweet, salty, crunchy and chewy all at once. The Memphis Mafia had too much going on with competing flavors and the sweet cream cannolo was bland. The rotating displace of the treats sold is mesmerizing.

A little gem of a doughnut store right in the heart of 6th Street. An eclectic menu selection of doughnuts, something for everyone! Prices are very reasonable, store is setup so you can sit down and eat and enjoy the atmosphere.

We walked by the first time and passed on doughnuts because the line was exceptionally long. We stopped the next day (a holiday Monday) and since there was no line, in we went. The Mango Tango donut was super interesting and tasty. I would get that again, for sure!

I stopped by after eating a healthy lunch and the place was almost empty of customers. The maple bacon bars are yummy. The dirty old bastard was decadent. Unfortunately, the buttermilk bar was disappointing. It was dry and had no hint of buttermilk (it is probably not a hot seller given the large selection of unique donuts).

Have loved this place since Portland. Such great doughnuts. Highly recommend the Marshall Mathers doughnuts. Personally, I think their vanilla cake doughnut as a base is unmatched.

We have visited some great doughnut shops in our travels. I have heard a lot of Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland, but since we were in Austin, I thought we would try it. Was disappointed. My wife was looking for the cream in hers, and I was looking for the chunks of apples. Only cost $8 to try!

All sorts of different kinds of donuts! At least come look itâs quite funny! Right on 6th St so not just for your mornings but also for at night since itâs right by all the bars...

My daughter had gone to their location in Portland and raved about them. What a hard decision since all the doughnuts looked unique and wonderful. The apple fritter was huge and was the best I have ever eaten and I have tried quite a few over the years! We ordered six doughnuts with some specialty ones and the bill was just $14. Consider a location in Minneapolis?!?

Only reason this gets 4 stars is because I found a couple other places I like more. Service is lackluster at best, but the donuts are always delicious. Been here at 2pm and 2am and they never disappoint. Line can get pretty crazy at peak times, but it's worth it once you taste the delisciousness inside the pink box.

Delicious and adorable doughnuts. We went in the middle of the day and walked in and immediately ordered. I assume itâs busier in the morning but the donuts make for amazing desserts as well. Extremely reasonably priced and tons of seating. I hope they eventually make it to DC.

This is not my first trip to Voodoo but it has been over a year so I'm writing again. In fact we stayed in Austin for two nights and both nights went to Voodoo. These are our favorite donuts, the old dirty bastard and dirt. Going again in September for a concert, so we will definitely stop in and get our doughnut fix!

I have to get donuts from here everytime I go to Austin. These are some really good donuts they are so big you can share.

Excellent doughnuts, especially the Vodoo Doll. Plan for a line but that gives you time to make your selections. Easy to get carry out or they have a good size place to eat there. We did have to pay to park and walk quite a ways so plan for that as part of your outing. Even with the wait and the parking challenges this doughnut shop is worth repeat visits. Service was good.

&, no I wasn't drinking! Definitely bigger, better and more exotic! I got a Guava Colada. Raised shell filled with guava jelly and topped with vanilla frosting, flake coconut, and toothpick umbrella, It was delicious.

There are so many choices and the varieties are definitely worth a trip. The names were fun to talk about and I loved the two I chose. The pink box is perfect!!!

10/10. I really like this place. Its super cool and I love the setup. We got a 1/2 dozen. I can't remember the ones we got but, I'm not a sweets eater but I definitely ate those sweets! A friend of ours recommended Voodoo Donuts to us and we definitely appreciate it! I would def go back for more!

Great stop for either enjoying while you are out, or a fun treat to bring back after your trip. A variety of flavors and so much for choose from!

I couldnât leave Austin without stopping by Voodoo Doughnuts. I came here on a Monday night around 7:30 pm. It was fairly quiet, as I was one of three people there. Alyssa, at the register, was such a sweetheart. I graciously paid her for my âHomerâ doughnut and even got a few tourist attraction suggestions from her. As I sat down, and bit into my pink glazed doughnut, I was in total bliss. So happy that I paid Voodoo Doughnuts a visit on my last night in Austin!!

Wow! Amazing, unique doughnuts and atmosphere. Such a great find in Austin. I had the Old Dirty Bastard, chocolate goodness, and my husband had the Lotta Horchata. Yum!!!

Very rude employee. My daughter is deaf and the young male employee was irritated because he had to repeat a question to her that he had asked from 20 feet away. He did not even have the courtesy to walk over to us. The music was blasting and I am not deaf but could barely hear him. When he finally came over to us she told him she was deaf and showed him the receipt for our order on her phone. She asked him if he needed anything else but he did not even answer her. He just handed us a box of donuts and walked away. I have never seen such rude behavior to a handicapped person.

My fiancĂŠ and I made it a point to go here when we visited Austin and it didnât disappoint. I had the captain crunch and he had the maple bacon. I also loved that you could get a carton of milk. 10/10 would recommend

The donuts to me were not that good, there wasn't really a taste to them! But that's me! I'm from NY and you can't beat a NY bakery style donuts! But as I said that's me!

Okay, the donuts were not supposed to be basic and they weren't. They just tasted that way. The variety to choose from was outstanding, the finished product just wasn't as good as some claim that they should be. Have I had a better donut, yep. Sure have. It was fun to go there, but I was a bit let down.

Visited Voodoo while staying in Austin to try their donut creations. We waited in line for maybe 10-15 minutes until we could order. Good variety of donuts and they were fresh, but I don't think it's a standout donut place aside from other places.

We brought donuts back to our hotel for "dessert" and breakfast the next morning. Unique combinations (mango tango...mango filling dipped in Tang) and aesthetically pleasing designs (VooDoo doll, anyone??). Pick your poison, you can't go wrong!

I have now had Voodoo donuts in Portland, Universal City & Austin. My family loves them (and probably loves the novelty more), so I brought some home from Austin. They donât travel the greatest, even though they were only day old & kept chilled part of the time - itâs just so humid in Austin that they were soupy by the time I got them home to Salt Lake City. I did notice that my Buttermilk donut seemed dryer in Austin than when I had it in OR and CA, but for the most part, everything was pretty good. I wonât say this is my favorite donut shop and worth all the hype, but they are pioneers and do hype and limited locations well. I have to say, if they had a Voodoo in the airport, they wouldâve killed it. I literally had at least 20+ people make comments about confiscating my donuts or asking where they could get them in the airport. So...if I ever travel with them again, they will definitely be in a non-transparent bag!

I've had better donuts from Dunkin Donuts. Not saying it was awful, just that I've had much better. Go at your own risk.

very bad experience , rude and disrespectful stuff and speak to manger and she did not care for bad customer service .

There's a great selection of interesting doughnuts, and the ones we had were very good. Be prepared to stand in a long line up, though.

When you make a good product, BE PROUD OF IT! Dunkin is taking the Donuts out of their name, but Voodoo is rightfully proud of their doughnuts. 40 or 50 different types were available for us on Monday morning around 9AM. Line was maybe 10 minutes long? Prices from $.75 to $5 or so. We shared an "Old Dirty Bastard" (Chocolate Frosting, Peanut Butter, Oreos) for $3 and it was plenty to keep us going.

Great place - excellent logo/marketing items - the we sampled 6 types of donuts - all were good or very good - but I wouldnât define them as being the best donuts Iâve ever had. I would recommend an apple fritter - the desirable yeast bread flavor really shone through on that one.

Austinites are ga-ga over this place. Its a 15 minute wait. I think its a bit oversold. The doughnuts taste like doughnuts. I got a banana fritter with chocolate and peanut butter drizzle topped with nuts. That sounds amazing but it was just okay. Its one of the highest priced doughnuts they sell. My companion had a voodoo doughnut. The raspberry filling was only on one side of the doughnut. He dipped his other doughnut in the filling because it was just a pocket of filling.

Ok these were the most creative donuts I've seen. Our party of 4 got 7 donuts and they were all delish. They have risen and cake donuts, so everyone was happy! There was no line when we went (at 9am on a Tuesday lol). We would go again.

What a variety of doughnuts! So many to choose from. My only issue was I was working and almost every time I went in there was a long long of VooDoo fans waiting to buy some. I finally got in and there wasnât anyone in line. WooHoo! The doughnut I wanted was sold out, sob sob. So I chose another, and was not disappointed. Yummy yummy. Great place, great service. Itâs got to be a wonderful job making people happy with an excellent product. Live this place.

Damn good doughnuts! Nothing more, nothing less - took the pink box down the street after eating in and everyone knew where I had just been and was asking if they could take a piece of what I had inside. This shows that they are well known and very well liked. I had the Old Dirty bastard, Bacon Maple bar, Mango Tango and Voodoo Doll on this visit and I have had the Grape Ape on a previous visit - all of them were amazing. Super fresh and super sweet - well worth a visit anytime of the day ...

Best doughnuts!!! So much selection, and so many flavours to choose from. THey just taste amazing and fresh. We went back several times while staying in Austin.. definitely beats Krispy KReme any day.

I came because the ODB really caught my eye but also because it has been hyped up as a cool spot. Unfortunately they didn't have peanut butter so, no ODB for me. I just got a chocolate ring...it was huge but nothing special. The service was trash. I dont expect anyone to jump for joy because I mention this is my first time visiting but I'd appreciate more than an eye roll. I was only in town for the weekend so I didn't really have time to circle back. Guess I'll give it a go at another location. Maybe I'll have better luck.

The biggest most delicious apple fritters we have ever had. They literally melted in your mouth. Worth the line to wait!!

An amazing selection of unique doughnuts - fresh and tasty! You have to go and try one. There is a large seating area and the shop was never crowded - even in the morning. Note that because of the variety the line can be a little long as people try to decide what to get.

While being weird and different is nothing out of the norm in this freakshow of a town named Portland Oregon I have to admit these fruitcakes have even outdone themselves in this 60's throw-up liberal infested hellhole. Oh the donuts were fair to superb depending of course on individual taste so making a review? Makes about as much sense as the people do here

If you are gluten. Free beware. I am and I always break diet when I go for my daughter. It starts with icing then I eat a whole donut. Very sweet. They have vegan I believe

The place was very nice (decor) and the staff was friendly. I got three doughnuts- maple glaze, coconut and peanut one. Only the coconut was very good, the other ones quite average and dry.

The store itself is very cute/trendy - they have HUGE very different doughnuts - so many different varieties its hard to choose just one and the prices are very reasonable.

This place is absolutely amazing and the massive selection of doughnuts makes it worth it. The names are creative the staff were very friendly.

Be prepared to wait in line but itâs sooo worth the wait. We got the 13 mixed box and had so many different, amazing treats! The customer service was amazing too.

When the sweet tooth craving kicked in, Voodoo Doughnuts was just the answer! After the show, we strolled down 6th street and jumped right in line at Voodoo. We bought a half dozen to enjoy some the next morning. The Portland Cream was so yummy that I ended up having to share half of it with my spouse as she munched on her glazed old fashion.

We visited late night and the place was still really busy. We enjoyed the tasty doughnuts and sitting and chatting for a while.

I have been picking up donuts from the original, Portland , location for the last 15-years or so. Accordingly, my expectations were high. I ordered an apple fritter and chocolate old fashioned. The fritter was close to the original. However, the chocolate old fashioned was hard to recognize - it was greasy, no texture, which makes it special, and a light, scant drizzle of chocolate. Also, it was half the size. It was a big disappointment and not worth a second bite. I didnât share my feedback given how long the line was. I should note the service was outstanding. The coffee was good. Hopefully, they can get their bearings.

This place has amazing donut choices, decent prices, and tasty donuts! And the atmosphere is so neat! Definitely recommend.

I was just reading the review from a person that mentioned the fully armed guard... he wasn't at the door but in the doughnut shop when we were there. It did freak me out a bit. Still does thinking about it. The line to get doughnuts were long when we were there. I liked the pink decor. The name of the shop is what brought us in. We tried a couple of different doughnuts. They were pretty good but might have been just a smidgen under-cooked. The staff was not overly friendly. Where is that Southern hospitality?

This place's donuts are just as good as the ones in Portland but the line was like 50 min quicker. The donuts themselves are super creative but honestly not always the best tasting. However I do love them trying new combinations

the donuts are a really good since. they are loaded with flavor. i asked for a donut that had signs everywhere and was told they didnt have those donuts anymore. really confused me.

My husband knows, when we travel itâs âooh thereâs a bakeryâ or âooh itâs a donut shop!â Today it was donuts. They gave a HUGE assortment in fresh made donuts- itâs almost overwhelming. Someone has to give them a try, right?! đđ hubby got the raspberry jelly filled- & it was good. I tried the mango jelly filled (thatâs unique) a d we both liked it! No matter what your preference- plain glazed or jalapeĂąo, worth a try. Really cute storefront on 6th- with a/c!!!!

Fabulous, creative donuts that are works of art. A MUST when in Austin. Always such a fun, patient, helpful staff.

A definite stop on your trip to Austin, if not for the adjacent sightseeing definitely for the tasty, sweet, calorie filled creamy goodness. You canât have just one!

Weâd heard of Voodoo donuts before as they have several locations around the country, so passing by one after a tour of downtown Austin we wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. Thankfully it did, and we really enjoyed the maple bar.

Really unique place on 6th street. Donuts are amazing and unusual. Only thing negative my son said was, âshe seemed like we were a bother.â This in regards to the younglady checking us out, a smile would have made it all that much more fun.

Travelled from the U.K. and was excited to find out that they have a Voodoo Doughnuts store in Austin after visiting your original store in Portland, Oregon back in 2019. Anyway, love your Doughnuts & Coffee, but the customer service at this store is shocking. The young man that served me on 2 separated occasions was not friendly, did'nt engage with me, and further more no Thank you from him. Thats why I scored you a 3 out of 5.

Super cool vibes and delicious donuts! They're open 24/7 and the now take debit cards. So many options! I wish I'd had more time. The voodoo doll was excellent and so cute.

Stopped by after a night out on 6th street, although the service was quick they ran out of most of their flavors at 10 pm.

Unusual, creative, and tasty doughnuts. Even if, like me, you opt for a standard chocolate glaze, you will find this old stand-by to be elevated. The great ambiance is a definite plus. Well worth a visit.

This place seriously has my heart. I literally did not have a bad doughnut from here all week! I love them all! I will be back on my next trip. Writing this review makes me sad that I can't have one.

Donuts were yummy, line was fairly long, yet went pretty fast. Is a fun place to visit if you are out and about in downtown Austin.

Voodoo Doughnuts is close to the Museum of Wire ,very unique doughnuts ,very Unique Places ! very unique Tastes ! very creative , I am not much Doughnut " GUY " but after half hours ,I left ,the doughnut shop ,I was thinking the "" pink " doughnut all day long !!!! over all ,it is very average ,do I enjoy it ? I honestly do not know ,it must bean the Voodoo Feeling !

I LOVE doughnuts. So, when we travel we find the "popular" doughnut spots and give them a try. We heard that Voodoo Doughnuts were the best. I have to say, the whole experience was not what I expected. First of all, I have never been to a doughnut shop that has a fully armed guard at the front door! Only in TX LOL. They had a lot to choose from but were out of many of the ones we wanted to try. They tasted a bit old and half of them didn't look like the photos. The kid who helped us seemed very uninterested. The dining room was not clean, in fact, I pulled wipes out of my purse and wiped our entire area. Anyway. All doughnuts are good but the experience was not what it is hyped up to be.

LOVE THE eclectic feel and hip casual fun atmosphere and yes for just a donut shop. Amazing unique offering with mill of course. In the entertainment district. We loved the traditional buttermilk loaf and the chili spice doenut. And a California favorite blueberry donut. Fun place must see

Had a business conference here in town and one of our activities including a stop by Voodoo. I called in advance because of size of group and Travis too great care of me. The donuts are unique, delicious, and different. My favorite being the Voodoo jelly filled. I must see while in Austin!

I typically avoid doughnuts but, this place changed my views about doughnuts completely. This is doughnut at another level. I tried their mango tango doughnut and it was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!!! the sweetness of the mango filling and the doughnut was well balanced and my taste buds were in sweet heaven :) DON`T MISS THIS PLACE. If I cross path again with Voodoo Doughnuts some place else in my travel I will definitely go back there. This is a honest review from someone who does not even like doughnuts.

As a huge donut fan, I had heard of Voodoo donuts, but I thought they were only in Portland. It would have been top of my list to go to if I ever visited Oregon, but I had no idea there were other locations. We were wandering around Austin and saw someone carrying the signature pink box and I got so excited! They definitely live up to the hype. The Austin location had no long line to wait in. We just walked right up to the counter. It was late in the day, so I thought they might be sold out of most flavors, but they had everyone's first choice in stock. This is not a gourmet doughnut kind of place, with regular flavors with pretentious names and made with fancy European ingredients or whatever. This place has the kind of donuts I like. Good quality, good-tasting donuts in crazy unique flavor combinations that you can't get anywhere else. I had a grape-flavored donut, which I loved. My wife got a donut with cinnamon sugar and cayenne pepper! The menu features pictures of all their donuts, which is another thing I am a fan of. I will definitely be back the next time I am in Austin. I have to try the banana fritter topped with chocolate and peanut butter.

Very disappointed. The Memphis Mafia was awful. It tasted old and dry and stale. No flavor except maybe rancid. The maple bacon was pretty good (only reason for the second star) and the hibiscus was fair. I feel like they are coasting on their âmust seeâ status, but there was no quality there.

VD is fun doughnut shop with doughnuts and other pastries you are unlikely to see elsewhere. The line can be lengthy but it moves quickly. The three of us shared an ODB doughnut, a maple bacon doughnut and a pumpkin cannolo (a VD invention). All three were excellent but very different. The maple bacon is a perfect combo of sweet and savory. I'd have one every day if... just daydreaming. The ODB toppings are generous and some of my favorites. The cannolo was a unique take on a doughnut cannoli with delicious pumpkin filling. Looking forward to my next visit and trying another delicious inventive pastry.

These donuts must be good because when I woke up in the morning my wife had eaten both hers and mine?? And this was after we stood in line for 20 minutes waiting on a couple to pick out 2 dozen in front of usâŚ..really wish I would have gotten to taste themâŚ..

I always meant to hit the one in Portland, but never made it. We were walking down 6th while visiting Austin and had no idea they were here until we stumbled onto it. Long but quick moving line, creative flavors and yummy.

We masked up & ordered at the counter. Short line. No dine-in. Oh Captain My Captain was my nephew's choice. A donut topped with Captain Crunch cereal. I ordered the Portland Cream, a shell filled with Bavarian cream, topped with chocolate. So fulfilling. Tried the Dashing Pumpkin as treat. Pumpkin cake doughnut topped with cream cheese frosting, fall colored sprinkles and a dash of pumpkin spice. Delish! Perfect for the holidays. Plus, ordered the Dirt and Old Dirty B. We came home with a pink box! đ These donuts we bought were raised with yeast. They were fresh, moist, rich, & sweet.. prepare to belly- up! One donut does the job. Surely, will definitely return.

We went on a Saturday afternoon around 1:00 and waited for about 15 minutes. The line was just inside the door and moved quickly. We ordered the apple fritter and the bubble gum donut (my kids). I have to say the donuts were outstandingly good! The apple fritter was the best I've ever had. So light and delicious!!!!!! I am not a huge donut fan so I wasn't really looking forward to going but I am so glad that I did. Just go, you will NOT be disappointed!

The donuts are decorated and a lot of fun. Definitely a cute place to visit when you're in Austin. We were there in October so everything was spooky. Cute.

Like most people I've heard about Voodoo on tv and seeing one close to my hotel i had to give it a try!! I was only 0.9 miles from my hotel and well i thought, i'm gonna take a nice walk! WRONG!!! Immediately regretted my decision a minute in. I now know Austin has a HUGE homeless problem. People passed out, twitching on the sidewalks, urine everywhere. These people are bold, they demand money and food. They follow you around and then wait for you to return. So FINALLY I see the sign and couldn't get in the building quick enough. The location isn't anything spectacular, it was 9am and the place was empty. Kinda surprising but after seeing the surrounding area I can see why nobody was around. The lady was kinda rude, i'm sorry i'm not a pro at all the weird names of the doughnuts. There's no menu so its confusing. I just wanted to get out of this area so I got an Uber back to my hotel (thank god for Uber) and to my surprise a homeless man was waiting for me to exit the building. Immediately in my face demanding money, the door hadn't even shut behind me. Unreal. The whole street is terrible, wouldn't recommend walking to this place. You will be harassed and please don't go alone! Tried the doughnuts back at my hotel, nothing amazing. Fruit loops were stale and the voodoo doll was either old or overcooked. Considering what I had to go through to get these, it's not worth it.

Delicious doughnuts. Many choices. Each unique and delicious and only $1-4 each. Unique environment. Was a steady line. They now accept credit and debit cards. Highly recommend.

Tasty doughnuts. The prices were reasonable. Stays open late. A great late night snack after you leave the bars on 6th street

When on 6th Street in Austin, make time to stop in VooDoo Doughnuts for a sweet tooth fix. If the Grape Ape doesnât turn your head, maybe an Old Dirty Bastard will. From the friendly service to the quirky decor, thereâs truly something for everyone here! Go check it out!!

More than just a must see donut shop with crazy and fun donuts, they are also amazingly delicious. Even the plain glaze was one of the best tasting donuts! A personal favorite was the spicy one! The store itself has great ambiance and the staff friendly! They even have vegan donuts. And absolute must stop when in Austin.

2 out of 3 of our donuts was under cook, the middle dough was not completely done, talked to management and got replacements and they were under cooked too. Must have been the whole batch. I fear they are now famous for being famous and do not need to be good anymore.

I'm not a huge doughnut fan, but had to try one.... It was so delicious! And HUGE. I had the featured doughnut -- part of the sales went to supporting the homeless in Austin. I like that the business is giving back to the community. The doughnuts are very creative and the shop is decorated in a unique way so it's fun to see. Only issue was the long line on a Sunday at noon. But keep up the good work.

Voodoo donut...hmm, where do I begin? The name most certainly brings the crowd in. The atmosphere with its interesting with his vèvè, and donuts that have no relation to the lwa. If you didn't know the spirits that are honored in Vodou, no Voodoo. Anyways, we've been to both locations in Austin, Tx, and now our home time Orlando. I rather stick with Krispy Kreme with Dunkin Donuts coffee. It's a friendly atmosphere for an average tourist that's drawn to the name but scared of the religion.

What a place! The staff were so friendly. The donuts are incredible. We had one at night and then I had to go back and get another one in the morning!

We stop in to get a box of mixed doughnuts, we had to wait in line for about 20 minutes. The restaurant is set up for to go orders only right now. The storefront outside was extremely dirty, windows and doorways, but the other places on 6th street were the same. The doughnuts were delicious and they had everything we wanted to try.

This was our second visit to Voodoo Doughnuts. We had the grape ape and dirty old bastards, they were delicious. Worth every calorie!! We won't go to Austin without going to Voodoo!!

The donuts look cool but they are disgusting. The actual donut part tasted like a supermarket donut and most the toppings didn't go together. Save yourself the $20 and just buy a single donut so you don't feel guilty when you take pics of all the cool lookin but very gross donuts. This is more a place for fans of weird stuff than foodies.

We had to go by VooDoo donuts and see what all the excitement was about before we left Austin. I must say it is a must stop while in Austin. It was amongst the busy strip of 6th St. in Austin. Surprisingly at 11 in the morning on a Sunday it was crowded and busy but not a long wait. The atmosphere was fun and weird which fits Austin perfectly. The staff was friendly. The donuts tasted great and the prices were reasonable especially for their Bakerâs dozen which had a variety of fun donuts.

Amazing staff helped hook me up for my class. Got a dozen and couldnât be happier. Superb quality and genuinely fun place. Very helpful and friendly staff! Go early in the morning and parking is a breeze.

Not the best doughnut I ever ate, but well above average. They had a great selection of unique doughnuts, which made it hard for a first time visitor to choose just ONE. They had several vegan choices that pleased the vegan members of my family. We visited in the evening so it was not very crowded. The only complaint was that there was a begger that came in and approached each table with fake crying trying to get a handout of money. When we offered to buy her some food, she moved on to another table. When we left, she was outside laughing with another begger confirming (at least to us) she was performing an act inside.

Probably best donut Iâve had- mango tango and banana cream pie were amazing! Not too sweet. We also had voodoo donut stabbed with a pretzel- the chocolate glazing was delicious. Very friendly welcoming place.

So many donuts! Something for absolutely everyone. Tried a few and they were pretty damn good. Probably better to go earlier to get them fresher, though.

Just opened last week on Burnet -- outstanding for north central Austin. The old fashioned crullers and the cake doughnuts are really good. The cake doughnuts are wonderful -- perhaps the best I have had! Service was friendly and efficient.

Friendly staff - very empty at 5pm on a Friday. its of choices and loved the donuts. Tried 3 different ones: Portland (best ever), Grape Ape - surprisingly good cake based donut and the voodoo man - stuffed solid with jam - delicious.

Fun place to enjoy a variety of donuts. Place has a great atmosphere for a wide variety of visitors: solo, friends, couples.

Had never heard of VooDoo Doughnuts until coming to Austin. We were staying not far from 6th Street so didn't take us long to walk to it. The line was all the way back to the front door but it moved quickly. This was about 4:00 on a Saturday afternoon! I tried the Portland Cream & it was yummy. Chocolate on top & cream in the middle. It was so big & fluffy. Got a maple bacon log to take for breakfast the next morning. Gave it a little zap in the microwave & it was super tasty. This is a must do if you are in the area. Quirky & funky....just like Austin.

Super cute place with amazing donuts! I wanted to try all of them!!! Ended up getting 4: the homer, voodoo doll, apple fritter, and the grape ape. My favorites were the homer and the voodoo doll. Delish!!! People there are nice, and it's usually busy. Great prices as well. Worth it!

Best donuts in the country - except Portland which I believe is the home of Voodoo donuts. This branch is right downtown and an easy and inexpensive treat.

Must see, very creative on their donut creations. Very large and rich donuts , it was hard for us to finish one . In a great location worth a quick stop for coffee and a donut

This part of 6th Street is a bit disturbing. So many suffering people on the streets, sidewalks and benches. Just prepare yourself for the surroundings. It's a fun donut shop with some interesting combinations. Apple fritter to die for. Maple cream filled donut, exceptional. Gay Bar, cleaver and hilarious with rainbow flag color fruit loops embedded in the icing and a surprise inside at both ends. We broke it in half to share and when we got to the delicious surprises, we just cracked up. What was it? Nice try! If I told you, it wouldn't be a surprise now, would it? Go and enjoy. I'm guessing they're all delicious.

It was definitely a fun experience to visit Voodoo Doughnuts! The mafia donut was pretty cool and the maple glaze was really good.

So excited to visit the Austin location. Look for the pink building, that's bright and fun inside. I went at 7pm at night and so much selection. Fav: Maple đ donut So good I had Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday while I was in town.

Voodoo Doughnuts makes doughnuts fun again! Many of my friends say it's over-priced. I say, where else on 6th Street can you have an experience for under $3 Bucks?! There's lots of crazy combos with breakfast cereals, piercing pretzels and colorful toppings. Best if visited late-night for the finest (and often drunk) view of authentic Austin.

Walked to get voodoo and they wouldnât let our preteen use the restroom when she was in need. Staff was basically rude and unhelpful in that aspect which led to splitting up our family so she could walk back to the hotel while we ordered the donuts everyone wanted to try. There are better ways to limit restroom facilities if needed.

Wow amazing donuts so May to choose from, we went both days as they were so good. The building as well is really cool.

Found this place wandering around by the Driskill hotel. All kinds of gourmet donuts and not enough time! The acoustic guitar player was fantastic, wished we could stay longer

The donuts all look really awesome! Everything I had was dry or almost stale tasting. I would get Kripsy Kreme before Voodoo Donuts again.

My wife and I specifically drove to Austin to visit and we weren't disappointed!!! The doughnuts are awesome! Not a big location, there's seating for a lot of people. Be prepared for waiting in line...it's worth it!!! The staff were very friendly and helpful. My wife and I each got a doughnut and then bought a mixed dozen to bring home. The selection is big! There's menus available for you to look at while standing in line. Prices are reasonable for the quality of doughnuts. Definitely worth the drive!!! Recommend a stop if you're in the area or make it the main reason to go! You won't regret it!!!

This place is amazing. They have a case with 3 revolving levels of the most incredible donuts and some are huge! All look scrumptious and the really nice thing is they have one level that is vegan. How nice is that! I believe they are open 24 hours and have fresh donuts all day. Should be on the tourists site lists.

very bad customer service , rude stuff and I spoke to the manger , she did not care about bad customer service ..

Got there about 10am. Steady customers. Parking on the street, we were at the 6th street location. They also have coffee. The staff behind the counter was very pleasant and helpful. The donuts are on shelving that spins so you can see all the choices. The Chuckles (cake donut with chocolate, caramel, and nuts on top and the mango filled donut were so good. Nice place, clean. The bathroom was thru an exit door, down a hallway to the restrooms. Bathroom semi clean.

Day old donuts served as fresh.?? $9.50 for a fritter and donut. Got bothered at the front door from the homeless and then he comes and asked for hand outs again. Employees couldn't be bother to ask him to leave.

Awesome doughnut shop! There are some crazy, beautiful doughnut concoctions made here! I guess we are mostly traditionalists though. We ordered a Glazed, a Chocolate Ring and a Ring of Fire (cayenne and chili pepper). The raised doughnuts are very big and delicious. Yummy spot. We visited this location on a Sunday morning. There was hardly anyone there. Very different scene from the Portland, OR location that had lines of people outside night and day.
Great donuts and friendly staff!
Great donuts and friendly service! Awesome selection for any palate. Still have basic donut flavors as well. Prices are not crazy and the staff was very fast and friendly!
