Maybe a wrong day - Terrible Food

By Jetskii |

I guess maybe it was a wrong day but everything seemed to be so bad that it was one of those times when I felt let down. The server took ages to handing out menu's which were covered in some sugar syrup. The food quality was really bad and the server seemed to be complaining about the restaurant. The waffles at the waffle house were really bad. The coffee mugs seemed to be never cleaned and had stains all over them. Dont think will ever visit this place or recommend it. Again it may have been a bad day for getting such a bad service.

Great waffles

By Juliet Peterson |

Delicious!!! Crispy on the outside, warm on the inside, toasted depth of flavor not found in your average waffle

Wonderful Waffle HousešŸ˜€

By BatGuano30 |

Can always count on WH to deliver good, inexpensive food even in downtown ATL. My chili topped hash brown with coffee came to less than 6 before tip. Left a good tip cause service was great.

Inattentive, disorganized and slow service

By Sarah B |

I visited for breakfast at 7:30am on a Monday. There were 8 staff working and 2 guests dining in. The staff paid no attention to me after my food was served. They talked and bickered amongst themselves and criss crossed the store with seemingly no purpose and never acknowledged me until I had to ask twice for my check. As I was paying, the cashier still didn't look at or speak to me but she spoke to her coworker the whole time. With that many staff and so few guests, customer service (or just plain courtesy) should have been no problem.

This place is open when others are closed

By Flappy Hanson |

We arrived at the hotel in 101 Andrew Young Blvd at 11pm and the hotel restaurant was closed, but there's this Waffle House. The food court in CNN center closes at 9pm, but no problem, there's the Waffle. House. The steak in Waffle House is good, but too bad, they don't serve wine or any alcoholic drinks

Breakfast Perfect, Just Perfect

By Mark M |

What can you say about Waffle House but Perfect. Breakfast anytime, made to order, just the way you like it, made fresh right in front of you. Perfect. I wish they came north. Somewhere below the Mason-Dixon line dwells Waffle House. Living in New Jersey and craving country ham. Where is Waffle House when you need them. This place is great. Great, Simple food, with a smile and great taste. Love it. Come NORTH, PLEASE Come North.

Waffling on

I have had lunch and dinner over the past 3 days at the Waffle House and found it to be a great place to eat. The food is very reasonably priced and the staff are extremely friendly. The food comes out quickly and there are free refills of your drinks.

Busy location at any time of day

By Indah Edlightz |

This Waffle House downtown Atlanta is an interesting place to experience. We came here for breakfast late morning and it was very busy, but I also came here at 1am and there were 20 people outside waiting for food. This place is open 24hrs and he staff here is patient beyond belief. They may not say pls and thank you every time as its such a busy place with all kind of people stopping by here.. but they get your food and you are on your way. The food is good. It's nothing fantastic but it does taste good. Had the Cheesesteak Melt one day and the Texas Bacon Patty Melt late night. Both good and hit the spot.

Filthy with Very Slow Service

By Jeffrey A |

It’s a short walk from the Georgia Aquarium, but that’s the only thing good about this Waffle House. The restaurant is filthy, with uncleared tables and garbage scattered everywhere. On top of that, it took them 30 minutes (we timed it) to bring us a waffle. Steer clear of this place.

Great late night food

By Surfrat50 |

I ducked in here to get out of the rain on New Year's eve and ended up having a great cheese steak sandwich with home fries. The food is good and the price is right for downtown Atlanta. Sitting at the counter, I was amused at just how many people work behind the counter- at least 15 that night. One manager called the shots, while everyone delivered orders very fast. The staff was very friendly and seemed to have fun working and recommending various dishes. These places are hard to find nowadays and I prefer them over the standard drive through stuff in a bag. Try it and see!

Waffle

By E.L.E |

Great spot for breakfast! Waffle was delicious! Right next to the Olympic Park. Reasonable prices as well

Love Waffle House

By MeeMee |

Love Waffle House! We don't have Waffle House in the northern part of the country so when we travel to the south, we always try to find a Waffle House. This particular property is not the cleanest, but I don't think I've ever been in a Waffle House that is impeccably clean. The food was delicious! The service was great! This location is extremely busy.

If you really need to eat...

By Hereandthere913 |

Not the typical Waffle House and of course not a great choice for a late evening meal….trust me, it was a last minute decision and a pro choice when Ted Turner's was a couple blocks away. Service was urban…meaning teenagers are running this place and the food was pretty simple but the prices were low. This chain is always great for breakfast when you're traveling on an interstate and want a fast stop. But dinner….no. Even when you're pressed for time and this location is right near the Olympic Park….maybe it's better to plan a different place like Glady's Knight's place for great chicken and waffles.

Slow service, bill was wrong

By chiefbluehawk |

It was very busy, it took forever to get our food, then the bill was $10 too high. When we pointed it out-they didn't want to admit they were wrong. Food was fine, but nothing special.

my guilty treat in the Southeast

By Jeffrey C |

what better venue to soak up some carbohydrates and caffeine after a night on the town? And this Waffle House is literally in the shadow and Centennial Olympic Park, CNN, and the downtown Ferris wheel.

Waffle House and my love/hate relationship with you.

By surfercharlie |

We got to Atlanta and were told we HAD to try chicken and waffles. Having never had this particular, but popular, dish, we asked where to go. We were given three names, one of which was Waffle House. So we stopped here at this Waffle House. When we walked in, I expected the typical "Welcome to Waffle House" invitation from the whole staff, but didn't get it. However, our waitress did have a bit of character. Before ordering, I asked an employee if they had chicken and waffles, just to make sure, and she said yes. So I told our waitress that's what I wanted, but she said they didn't have that. "We have waffles and we have chicken, but we don't have chicken and waffles." Well, we worked it out and I ended up ordering waffles and a grilled chicken breast, so I had a variety of chicken and waffles anyway. It was in every other way a typical waffle house. What more is there to say?

Great food.

Stopped in on a beautiful afternoon in Atlanta. Crowds were busy but got in quick . Service was friendly and quick and the food was delicious

Great waffle house

By mlbdab |

We were waiting for the Atlanta cruzers Segway to open and decided to grab some breakfast. This Waffle House is a block away and was fast, clean, friendly and good. No complaints at all, I liked the host- that’s the first time I’ve eaten in a WF with a host. Neat! Nice view of the CNN building too

One of the best

By Camper661314 |

I was pleasantly surprised to find out how clean is Waffle House is. According to management it is 4 years old! However, this location is extremely busy. I Nevertheless, the staff is extremely friendly and the floors and tables are very clean and the staff working on the grill it is extremely professional! They use their gloves and they clean up after themselves. I am a very very picky eater but this location has completely satisfied our family! I will return.

Dirty

By Suzette |

Dirty. Employees were fighting over who was going to clean the tables off. All tables were dirty with plates, cups, old food from prior patrons. And, still that way when we left.

Cheap Diner Food. Warms the Belly

By BigBangMike_ |

ost the time of being on avail means hanging out in a hotel room waiting to see if someone needs you. But I was able to pop my head out and ask a local the following ā€œIf you can give me one restaurant in the area that will give me the local culture of Atlanta… what would it be?ā€ He took a half smoke cigarette from his grizzled beard and half heartedly chuckled the words ā€œWaffle Houseā€. Waffle House is a notorious southern staple of the post libated. Featuring Carby and Fatty breakfast concoctions at all hours of the day and night… everything needed to stay off the hangover you know you’re too soon to have. Waffle House is nothing less than a cultural icon, with hundred of locations littering the southern landscape, people from all walks of life join together at this diner. In waiting for my food, I witnessed people pull up and order in everything from a Maserati to a beaten up old bike lugging recyclables. The food and feeling Hash House A Go Go tries to emulate in an upscale fashion all started here… At waffle house. I ordered a delicious egg and sausage sandwich to go, they wrapped it in tin foil and handed it to be in a paper bag like a mom does when sending her kid off to school. You rarely get that much happiness for $5.

Good good and even better staff

By Storm72td |

Always a good trip to the Waffle House. Can never go wrong when you want a good breakfast with plenty of food. You won't find nicer staff anywhere.

Love our Server Patrice!

By KCIGM |

Patrice our server was friendly and helpful! Loved our morning breakfast and the location is wonderful--just across the street from the Aquarium and Centennial Park!

ShockingšŸ˜‘

By Jacqueline W |

Ordered my favorite patty melt. Onions, cheese, patty and bread pressed together. No matter where I go and order it's always made the same. We I ordered this to be disappointed. It came out on texas toast small amount of cheese, patty and bacon. 🄺 I dislike sending food back but this was not what I wanted. My waitress and the cook advised that's how we make it here and pointed to it on the menu. I asked do you make grilled cheese sandwiches? They replied YES! So I instructed to have a grill cheese and add onions and a patty. 🧐 On texas toast I got a dry sandwich with a little cheese melted, cooked onions and a patty. My hash browns were to have cheese and mushrooms as dry. I thank the cook for trying to remake my order but I see this is not something you cook on a regular. While trying to enjoy my breakfast. One of the waitress yelling at one of the cooks as if this argument started in their kitchen at home. She went on and on even when the cook tried to end it by agreeing with her. All of this was done at the front counter. Ask I tried to pay to leave I had to interject to get cashed out. Please save this argument for home. She walked away and I paid and left. They did have a pleasant hostess and waitress. Fast service. Stick with the international menu please you store is in a tourist area.

Great for a quick breakfast

By Happy_Camper_2004 |

Can't beat the reasonable prices and the fast service. Just what we were looking for to start our day. A much better alternative to the hotel restaurant.

Low vibe

By Sandy_Salsa |

Needed something quick to eat before our 6:30pm appointment at the Skyview feeeis wheel. The quickest we saw waa Waffle House. I really wanted waffles with bacon on the side...but they took too long to get the bacon. So they substitute with with sausage and...in a while the bacon came. I ate both, and just wanted to leave. Though the food was good...the vibe was "low".

Must Try!!

By Danny P |

We were on vacation here and I kept seeing this restaurant everywhere. It doesn't look like much from the outside but wow their waffles and other breakfast items were delicious!!

Better Waffle House, than on Highway

By M Richard M |

This looked clean and I needed a calorie fix. Clean and not smoke filled. At home in Florida the WHs are dirty, and smelly, not this one.

Good food

By Sophie_jon |

Friend found this place after looking for somewhere to get breakfast. The waffles were so good, we decided to come back again

Good Food and Prices

By jfoote |

When a block party prevented us from going to another restaurant, we went to the Waffle House and had a good meal at a very reasonable price.

Yummy and fast, what more can you ask?

By ERBeline |

We stopped here before walking through the park and hitting up Coke World and the Aquarium - perfect way to start the day. It's a waffle house, so the yummy food is well known. Texas toast sandwiches and sausage gravy are particularly stick-to-your-ribs good.

Need Breakfast so you have to go to Waffle House

By Tom D |

4 of us stopped here around 9am and was able to get right in. The service was quick and prompt and the food was good. I had the Texas Toast sandwich, the others had the Hash Brown bowls, and eggs, bacon, and hash browns. They did get busy which just meant they must have good food.

Best Service

By Ashley P |

Stopped in for breakfast before starting our day. Food was excellent but above that the service was out of this world. Probably the best service I have had in years. 10/10

Great service, good food

By Logan C |

We were their for the Peach Bowl/CFP, so it was busy. We had a very short wait. Once we ordered our food,it got there very fast. Very hard workers. All good at their job.

Great breakfast

By Terrie J |

We decided to have our last breakfast at this Waffle House around the corner from our hotel. Shy was our server and she did a great job. We both had coffee and she kept it full. I ordered the pecan waffle with crispy bacon. My husband ordered the hash browns with cheese, onions, mushrooms and some other things. I can never remember how to order that one, but Shy knew exactly what he wanted along with his side of crispy bacon. The food came and was perfect. The pecan waffle was delicious. My husband loved the hash browns. The bacon was crispy as we requested without being burnt. This was a great breakfast.

Tried & true waffles

By ChristopherB76 |

It was years since I had been to a Waffle House, so I stopped by this one in Atlanta to re-live some old memories. The breakfast I had was just like I remembered and the same great waffles!

Not road trip worthy

By Damien G |

I had to get try this place for bucket list. The food was tasteless and greasy. They put American cheese in grits wont go back

Gabby, a great waitress

By Marq Crix |

The waitress Gabby was very friendly, took care of immediately taking my order, recommended and made sure that my food arrived quickly. The service in general, I was impressed. From the outside to the bathroom, clean.

You want to feel at home, go to this Waffle House.

By Gina43 |

A Waffle House is a Waffle house BUT the waitresses are what makes this place special. The woman are soooo sweet and funny. You feel like you are family. I just HAD to give our waitress a big tip for just being so sweet. Also, from the restaurant you can look at families playing at Centennial Park.

Friendly and Quick

By Jane Q |

Great price for the amount of food you get. Staff is very friendly. Very efficient operation. Interesting to watch the people as they work to prepare your meal. I had the BLT and it had more bacon than I was expecting. Instead of French fries, you get hash browns.

Lot of excitement

By mochat129 |

Stop in on Sunday morning after church to enjoy some waffles. I had waffles and hash browns my brother had steak and eggs. Food was just ok, but the staff got into an altercation with a customer because it took 1 hour for a chicken biscuit. Very unprofessional and very disturbing for my family. Will not return

Good breakfast

By Davey |

Came here whilst on holiday in Atlanta. Famous for being in a few films. Friendly staff and good food. Had to wait 15 mins but that wasn’t a problem. Service was quick

Great

By ianjLondon |

Everything has already been said, that is, in the positive reviews. Classic diner, spotless, good food, great staff. That's about it

Excellent

By Aman Bhardwaj |

I went with my family at 2am and the food was amazing. The waitress was very lovely and polite too. I ordered grilled chicken and a waffle and the waffle was the best I have ever had.

SUPER Crowded the morning I went, but surprisingly, worth the wait!!

By dolphin80 |

Made the HUGE mistake of coming here for breakfast with my family the morning of the 2018 Peach Bowl game between Florida and Michigan, which I was NOT in town for. However, my wife & kids were adamant that we were going to eat at the Waffle House this morning, even though the waiting areas was shoulder to shoulder with people waiting, as well as a large contingent of folks waiting outside. We put our name on the list, expecting it to be a LONG wait, since the seating area of the restaurant is not that large. While waiting, a homeless man walked in, flashed a $20 bill to the hostess, and walked over to the to go area to order some food. The only reason I bring this up is because the poor man smelled so bad, that it actually cleared some people out of the restaurant. After he got his food, he left, but the smell lingered for a bit. I almost lost my appetite, but we would not be deterred. To my surprise, the turnover rate was moving pretty fast. We probably waited about 20-25 minutes when I fully expected it to be an hour. Kudos to the staff for keeping the tables rolling. Finally, they called our name, and we got a booth right by the window. Our server, Wennifer, was right there to get our drink orders, and as we had time to look over the menu, she took our food order as well, old school style on a scratch pad. The menu is pretty simple, with a few pretty pictures of some of the breakfast options. My eyes quickly went to the All-Star breakfast, which was for eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast, and of course, a waffle. My son and daughter got waffles, with my son getting chocolate chips. My wife got an egg breakfast as well. The juices and coffee were flowing as they should for a breakfast joint like this. While the place was super crowded and they were doing their best to flip tables, we never felt rushed by Wennifer or any staff. Our food came out fairly quickly and while I lowered my expectations, everyone in my group was surprised at how good everything was. I did make the comment that if you're going to call yourself the "waffle house" you better do waffles right....and they do. I've certainly had better waffles in my lifetime, but this place being what it is, they are damn good. Aside from the colossal amount of humanity there that morning, and the assault on my senses for a brief moment from an unfortunate individual, the experience was as good as it could be given the circumstances.

Great food, great service

By Surubu |

This is Waffle House, known for greasy good, super busy waitresses, and restrooms you wouldn't use unless drunk. I was sober, and was probably the nicest one I've visited. Food was quick and the waitress was attentive.

Goddamn I love the Waffle House!

By Scott G |

I took my kids here so they could have a legit Waffle House experience. We ate up at the counter at around 9am on a Thursday and watched the employees argue amongst themselves and kick homeless dudes out of the place. The hash browns were a hit with the kids. I got my usual steak and eggs. We were staying across the park at the Omni and my wife's conference went late one night and she wanted some food so I offered to go to the Waffle House at around 11pm. What an adventure! Thank god for concealed carry. I got the food, she got fed and all was well with the world. Atlanta is scary at night. Viva la Waffle House!

Popular spot . . . for good reason.

By DGP1111 |

This was a repeat visit to this location, and certainly enjoyed. A morning breakfast on a Monday saw FAR less customers than on some late evenings when long waits are the 'norm'. Service was more personal and the food was very accurate as ordered. The staff was able to work much more coordinated than at those times of extreme busyness when it can get challenging. If you sit at the counter/bar you are certainly going to see food service details that could concern you, but if you can get past that (and remind yourself where you've chosen to dine), you will enjoy your visit for some tasty waffles and hash browns. Check 'em out!!

Disgusting!!,

By Pattygomez61 |

The service was horrible, rude and extremely unprofessional. From where I sat which was at the counter, I saw the entire kitchen. The floor was flooded with dirty water. Everything was conducted in one area from the cash register, food preparation to dish washing. When I did get my food, it was cold. I will not recommend anyone to eat at this restaurant, nor will I!

Surprisingly Good.

By Jack M |

Jumped in because we were in a hurry - staff was amazing, place was very clean, service was fast, and food was great.

Our must visit restaurant did not disappoint

By Claudette C |

When in the South we always go to Waffle House and were pleased when we had one right by our hotel. We got our order to go & sat on a bench at Centennial Park. I had the biscuits & gravy and they did not disappoint. My sister had the egg, bacon & cheese on Texas Toast that was also good.

Good food

By Touring16 |

I ate at the Waffle House on Saturday, January 30, 2016. It was very busy inside. I ate at the high counter. The food was good. However, I had to wait over 15 minutes for a seat.

Noisy place, but not so bad

By wuwuzela |

Lot lot confusion.near the centre of activities (aquarium, the coca cola world, ...) But the meal is good, not excellent but good

Stay clear

By maureen1949 |

This was the worst place I ate in Atlantis It took the wait three tries to get one of the orders correct. Then he disappeared and the poor chef had to serve us. Unclean, foot was greasy, coffee cold. 20 per cent tip us usually given in USA I did leave any thing Stay clear a greasy spoon. No no no no no x

Great location,iffy service

By Lynne R |

We visited here on a Monday morning for breakfast and I did not return.I have found other Waffle Houses more welcoming and personal. The staff were very disengaged and I had to ask for a refill etc. They also could not answer simple questions that tourists no doubt ask frequently.Tne food was average. Their saving grace is their proximity to Olympic Park,World of Coke and the aqaurium. Not a memorable experience.

Perfect Place to get a Quick Meal by Olympic

By ramrod7 |

One of my observations for Atlanta is the higher expenses to eat. Sometimes you just want not to spend $50 bucks to eat. After walking all over the Olympic Park, we found ourselves worn out and desiring substance to eat. Right next to the park at 135 Andrew Young International Blvd, we discovered a Waffle House. You could tell it was heavily frequented by locals. We thought it was absolutely wonderful to order a burger and fries and watch the congestion on the boulevard. I would definitely put this address location on your map if you’re touring around Olympic Park. We found all the staff very friendly, and fast with great service. You know that a Waffle House always provides tasty food for a cheaper price. This establishment did not disappoint us.

Impressive diner for a chain restaurant

By charmking |

After seeing so many Waffle Houses in the area we decided to order a hearty breakfast before heading out to the Aquarium and World of Coca Cola. The restaurant was busy at 9am but luckily a table opened up for us. Our waitress Weniffer, was so friendly and serviced us closely through breakfast. There is an army of workers so breakfast came out fairly quickly. The food is quite reasonable and tasty! The restaurant was quite tidy and clean. We would dine here again. We loved their hash browns and pecan waffles.

Nothing out of the ordinary, but it's perfect for simple, easy anytime

By SpanishteacherMD |

My first time in a Waffle House. It was good food, brought out quickly, and completely delicious and satisfying. I came here twice during my stay in Atlanta, once for brunch and once for a late night snack with a friend. The single peanut butter waffle is amazingly good. This was a perfect location in reference to my hotel, only a 7-minute walk to the Omni. This place is perfect for "breakfast" anytime. Enjoy.

I arrived very excited and I left very angry.

By malenapato |

The customer service was horrible. None of them knew where or how to get in. They made us wait 20 minutes in a line outside under the sun and heat and then told us that we had to sign up on a list. We waited another 15 minutes.

Great show

By Eric R |

My "splurge" breakfast while in town for Market. I'm usually here by 6:00 am before the rush hits and get to enjoy the "show" while I eat. Service is always excellent at that time and the food, well it's Waffle House.

Fast and Affirdable

By RDCononver |

A great place for a reasonably priced breakfast, the wait staff was friendly and food was fresh and very good A2 Eggs, potato, toast, bacon, and coffee all for $10.

Great Food, Great Service Great Prices

By rjarmusik2001 |

I ate at a few Waffle House's while I was in Atlanta I think they have the best breakfast of any restaurant I've eaten breakfast at, Their prices are very affordable and their portions are very generous! Service has always been great any time I've eaten there.

Fantastic breakfast

By BAHuston3 |

My wife and I had a fantastic breakfast at Waffle House. The service was amazing. My breakfast was delicious; two eggs, waffle, hash brown potatoes, grits... The coffee was excellent. The price is right. The location is perfect to see all of the local sights. Enjoy.

Good American food!

By EmmaMW |

Great food, great service, great price, real American diner experience. I had a hash brown bowl with egg and sausage, it literally makes my mouth water thinking about it again - I'd go back to Atlanta for another one of those breakfasts!

Tricky waitress, bad food.

By CruiserMax |

Three people dining. We placed our order with the older waitress. Out comes all these little things we didn't order. 2 cups of coffee instead of 1. 2 waffles instead of 1. I thought all these things might have been included, but it was another story when the check came. I didn't bother arguing, but they've lost my business forever. Oh yeah, and the food - the waffles weren't even pretty. One of them was incomplete on one side. The sausages are like jerky, and the coffee tasted like cardboard.

You might think...

By StoffHub |

5 star rating seems exceptional for Waffle House but the mix of ambiance, very friendly staff, good food and great value (25% of what you would pay at the hotel) deserves 5 stars.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED AT ALL.

By Tony R |

I WALKED INTO WAFFLE HOUSE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE. THE ENTIRE STAFF STOPPED WHAT THEY WERE DOING AND GREETED ME LIKE I WAS WALKING INTO THEIR HOMES. They were dressed in costumes of super heros and were as friendly as can be. The breakfast I has was served hot and fast and was tasty and at the right price. I really enjoyed my visit to the Atlanta area, but especially enjoyed my visit to Waffle House.

Waffle less

By teamcroft |

Went here thinking a "Waffle House" sold lots of waffles and they don't - strangely. Lovely staff wouldn't visit one again. Pants

Largest Tip of Weekend- who would have thought.

By Silverfalcon3 |

They were packed. We were hungry. Waffle House with a Host-- unusual. Waited 20 minutes but it was worth it. Great Food, excellent service with a smile. Clean restrooms and every employee working their butt off. It was our best food decision because of value, service and location. Only complaint is it's a corporate store so no specials and no 5$ menu we gave locally but it's right by Olympic Park so the price was to be expected. We will surely return on fixture trips downtown. I tipped our waitress here more than anyone all weekend and she deserved more!

Food decent, but service left much to be desired

By Miss B |

The menus were sticky with old food and syrup residue. They had different versions of menus, so I had to get up, walk around and find the menu that had everything as they were not at all tables. When I asked for a refill on my hot chocolate, which I asked for before my food arrived, it took so long to get it I was done with my meal before it arrived. Service was unattentive, over-extended and looked frazzled by having more to do than they could handle.

Efficient service during crazy busy time!

By Candy W |

We stayed at the hotel right next door during the Midtown Music Festival which was a crazy weekend in Atlanta. Despite the thousands of people in the area and the line out the door for breakfast, this restaurant was like a well-oiled machine. People were seated, served and sent on their way very efficiently. On top of this the wait staff was AMAZING....friendly, patient and on the ball. Loved it...one of the best WA-HO experiences I've had in Atlanta.

Pace to eat

By Victoria S |

Nice service and they have many locations in Atlanta Georgia. The food was great and they have many other food coice to choose from. You can watch the cook prepare your food.

Tracy!

By Jessica Z |

Best server ever! Sweet, funny and caring. Most of the people I encountered in my trip to ATL was that way but she was one of the few people that just left that lasting impression.

Efficient for an affordable big breakfast

By Marie Z |

Great location, next to many hotels and close to the aquarium & Coca Cola world. Food is good but I had to wait a long time to get a refill as the waiters were all too busy to notice. It's a good place if you want a quick and nice breakfast, it's efficient but don't expect much more.

Skip it!!

By MerJim |

Was told it is a tradition to go to a Waffle House if you travel to the South. Did it, done. Had breakfast, eggs & bacon. Definitely not fancy $2 for coffee and had to wrangle a waitress to get a refill.

Great Staff

By exacta123 |

Went here for breakfast, always great. We sat at the bar and got to watch the cooks. Unbelievable talent, memorizing orders and cooking multiple things at once.

Great Location & Staff

By refinleybitner |

Staff and food here is great. Super convenient location and great to step out of the Hot-lanta heat for a few minutes. Clean and great view of Centennial Park. Husband got onions on his sandwich for which he requested to be left off, but Wait Staff was quick and accommodating in correcting the error and very apologetic. Great customer service.

Great Value & Service

By Japirojas |

We liked Waffle House a lot. Is affordable, fast and very good. I had the sandwich with saussage (it wasn't very good) but the hasbrowns and the hot cocoa delivered just fine. Great spot for a quick breakfast/brunch.

Terrible visit

By PatsyK2468 |

Made to wait outside even though tables and the counter were available. When we were seated I counted 6 staff but only the short order cook was actually working. The others were just standing around wondering what to do that didn’t actually involve doing anything like clearing tables or serving. End result was a dirty untidy looking place. Waffles were ok but bacon arrived a good 10 mins before waffle and my order was incorrect but I let it go as by this time I just wanted to eat and leave. So disappointed with service that for the first time ever I didn’t leave a tip.

Great service. Friendliest people!

By Christopher K |

We stayed at the AC Hotel right next door so we went to the Waffle House for breakfast. Our server Wennifer was a sweetheart. The service was fast and efficient. The food was typical breakfast food. Prices were reasonable. Went back the next morning for a second time. We met BIG MIKE who wasn't our server but he came over and talked to us and he was such a nice guy. The people are what make this place for sure!

Greasy and Cheap

By ATL_Jacket |

This Waffle House has a great location on the edge of Centennial Olympic Park, but the food is just the standard fare. It's the intersection between an American diner and a fast-food restaurant. Being a northerner, I don't have a sentimental attachment to Waffle House. It's just barely palatable. Unless it's 3am or you want to try this Southern institution, I recommend eating elsewhere.

If you like sugar and salt, go for it

By Jason C |

I went with my Dad, who loves waffles but I was no so keen, I ordered a simple toasted sandwich and think I had my years worth of salt intake in one sitting. Great friendly service but make sure you are aware that it is a real fast food joint and not a traditional waffle house.

Fantastic service and good breakfast!

By cchamp7303 |

Efficient without rushing diners. Clean, bright and comfortable. Very friendly staff. Standard waffle house menu - yummy for breakfast before a conference at the Georgia World Conference Center or a morning of sightseeing.

Venue set in the 60s, very curious for us. Excellent chocolate nugget waffle. Hot dishes of eggs, bacon and potatoes were also fine

One of the best deals in downtown Atlanta in terms of price and quantity. Limited seating so noon time is very busy especially if you have a big group. The waffle and grits is must try.

Ate there in desperation but it did the trick

By alat47 |

Couldn’t find anywhere for a light snack in central Atlanta so resorted to the Waffle House. Very unprepossessing but friendly staff, quick service and just what we needed - an omelette and coffee

I Sat For 10 Minutes Waiting to be Served!

By ABluTraveler |

Its not my nature to give negative reviews, but steer clear of this place! I walked in looking to be served, and was pretty excited, but I was moved from my booth for being a Single Traveler, and then once I sat down at the counter, I was not helped for at least 10 minutes. I eventually got up and left. I spent my money elsewhere. Horrible customer service.

Rude!

By sts1023 |

The rudeness of the staff made us turn around yesterday when we visited. We planned to order some drinks and a snack to go but decided to use the restroom first. The "greeter" was rude and sarcastic about the restrooms being for paying guests and didn't realize we would be. Told her they lost our business last night. I gave two stars only because the food I saw and smelled seemed much better than the typical WaHo. Guess we will never know.

Fine

By Culinaristje |

Enjoyed lunch here after a long walk. Excellent food and tasty choices. Friendly service. Accommodation inside a bit dingy. For the rest fine.

Good American breakfast

By Matias Rojas |

Local near downtown with ample breakfast menu The dishes are tasty and strong. Service is agile and attentive. Recommended if you want to try an authentic American breakfast

Average is a good for WH

By Ed H |

It is the same experience you get at every waffle house. Large amounts of food for a cheap price. The folks behind the counter would sling it, smother it etc with verve. Not highest quality but belly filling.

Unprofessional supervisor

By Sandy Bond |

While visiting downtown Atlanta on business I walk two blocks from my hotel to Waffle House. I must say there is a beautiful view of Centennial Park, however the view inside was none to be desired. There was one lady who appeared to be some sort of supervisor sitting at the bar eating area who pulled off her hair net and put it next to the cash register and left it there.

Sad first experience

By Kristina |

We had 12 people total, 7 kids. We’re up from Maine for the chess tournaments and we’ve never been to a waffle house and was told we needed too. They were busy and we waited a few minutes and we were able to squish into 2 tables. Service was super slow and our other group I saw was being waited on so assumed we’d be next. 10 min went by and no service. Finally the gentlemen asked us about drinks. We didn’t get any creamer or spoons with our coffees. Waited another 10 min and I see a table that came in long after us being serviced. I jumped up and said something to the staff. They quickly came to us. One of the girls waffle was sooooo over cooked she didn’t even eat it. Anyways. Sad first experience and we won’t be back.

And the rain came pouring down but the smiles never washed away

By Debbie C |

We were ready for Sunday Brunch after morning sports at Georgia World Conference Center. The 420 Sweetwater Festival was going on across the street in the park so we had to walk around as it began to drizzle outside. The rain came pouring down (again) as we got inside. The place was packed but they had chairs to sit and wait for a table. It only took about 15 minutes. They had a full crew with happy faces working to feed the hungry. Our server was quick, friendly and attentive. The food was good. Waffles, eggs, country ham, cheesesteak bowl, double bacon Angus cheeseburger, hash browns and salad were the variety of orders at our table. Their hash browns are simply the best. Fed a hungry family of 4 for $39 and nobody left with room in their bellies. The location has a nice view onto the park under normal circumstances. Its located next to a stop for the Metro tram. Enjoy!

Great Service

By Robert C |

Waffle House has a great, diner-style breakfast. Fast, cost-effective. But that's not why you should go here. The service was phenomenal. Our server (I wish I could remember her name) chatted with my wife, loved our boy, and was totally ga-ga over our infant. She sat down with us (after asking, which she didn't have to do but was nice), held our daughter, and laughed with us. Such a fun experience!!

Great value breakfasts

By Loud1Canberra |

After a few weeks on the road we just wanted an easy and inexpensive place to get breakfast. The Waffle House fitted the bill being a short walk from our apartment and cheap. The waffles are terrific especially with bacon. The eggs were nicely cooked and the hash browns plentiful and filling. Fresh orange juice completed our meals. The service is friendly and helpful and th eplace was clean and tidy.

nice waffle house but always packed

By Jorge O |

i love this waffle house the only problem is to find a table, either way i always come back! take out and eat it at centennial park will be a smart idea.

This place obviously needs

By Annie D |

This place obviously needs a new manager ASAP! We came from concert 90 mins ago and he people next to us that came in 30 mins after us and folks farther down with a to-go order go theirs before we did. We still sit here almost 2 hours later and no food. The one and only waitress was working her butt off

Large Staff Poor Service

By Mark W |

Staff was wondering around preoccupied with cell phones. The manager was one of the perpetrators guilty of customer neglect. No one ever walked by offering coffee. The table was missing condiments showing there was no standardization of checking the table after a customer visit. The floor was filthy, service poor and eggs undercooked. They did have police security on hand and it was needed as once you step out side you are accosted by panhandlers and you have to walk around homeless sleeping in the streets. Consider going to the Dunkin Donuts down the street with far better service and friendlier staff. The historical window display interesting.

Wow!

By mdowd111 |

We were starving and popped into this place. Nothing fancy. Just super tasty food for a great price. The staff were so friendly and full of character. That added to a great experience.

Normal restaurant

By Justin |

Honestly the restaurant was neither excellent nor pesimo. The food was acceptable, prices also acceptable. It highlighted only the service positively. The dishes arrived without delay. The truth is that I was there with my buddy working to do a little break during my business trip to Atlanta. The place is good located. Nearby there you can find beautiful Centennial Olympic Park and Georgia Aquarium.

Busy place, good food, friendly service.

By Rick K |

Stopped in here a couple of times during our last visit to Downtown Atlanta. It's a pretty busy place, but they have a large staff and manage to keep the wait times reasonable. You can call in and order food to go as well. The food is good and the coffee plentiful. They offer a very large selection of waffles prepared almost any way you want. The prices are very good compared to the other places nearby. I'd eat here again without any problem.

Great

By icetea26 |

The staff at the Waffle House were friendly, the food was good and the service was quick even though the place was crowded/

Worst breakfast service in America

By Casey G |

Avoid like the plague. If you want to be ignored, offered no drink, menu or any type of service then come. Food OK but not worth everything else. Once sat ignored for 20 mins while others around me got served then when asked if I was ready I didn't have a menu and basically the manager walked off in a hump with me and marched back over and slammed one down. Could have maybe smiled and offered a coffee at least. Waited another 10 to order and once I got my food never offered any refills or anything else at all until they wanted a tip of course

An average Waffle House experience

By langhorn160 |

I like Waffle House and this was a good meal delivered quickly. I wouldn't say it was exceptional but it was good. It's convenient to the convention center area.

Late night snack

By Jacqueline H |

The Host/Manager was hustling to keep up with the pace of people wanting a booth or sit at the bar and this was at 2AM!!!! Everyone was so nice and the food was fast and fresh

Hapeville Location Feels Like Home

By johnnaneugent |

Just good food! The breakfast menu is amazing, waffles of course and hashbrowns 7 ways too! The Hapeville GA location made us feel like we had been coming there every day! Waitress even recommended an option that was money saving by combining our orders! Loved it!

Getto at its best

By dontaviouscoston1981 |

This place is very unprofessional tge cashier keysha has no customer service skills at all the workers have no since of direction you call to place a order the phone just ring and ring never will eat here again.

What fun - and great value!

By Carol T |

I was fascinated watching the grill line crew at work. It was a very busy breakfast time. It was a thing of beauty and amazement. Our meals were delivered promptly and exactly as ordered. Good selection and very good value.

loved it

By ktimmons001 |

As a northerner, I had to go to the waffle house on our trip to Atlanta. Where else can you get strawberries on your waffles for 25 cents extra! This may be the nicest waffle house I've ever seen. Don't get me wrong, it's not the most amazing breakfast any of us have ever had, but you gotta love the waffle house!!

YUMM!!

By Karen K |

Fast, tasty, great carry-out options. Loved the service and the way the employees all worked together.

Go elsewhere

By AreeGoTheDistance |

This establishment was not a pleasant visit. Some of the workers were yelling and screaming. Our waitress didn't even try to smile. The floors and tables were disgusting. I wouldn't recommend eating here for a Waffle House experience.

Awesome Hash Browns

By littlejfer |

We were in town for a convention everything else was filled up with hour plus waits...decided to go to the Waffle House and was not disappointed. Great people watching plus breakfast food? Slam Dunk!

Great food!

By mimibobo23 |

I was very excited to try this place since we don't have them back home. It lived up to the hype; the food was good and the prices were decent. After a day in the park, it was nice to sit down to a real meal. And the MARTA stop is right across the street.

Great food!

By Amy D |

Great service! Excellent food. Good music, and clean. Visited for a conference from Tennessee. Came twice during the week.

Bustling place by Centennial Park

By Ray21521 |

It's a regular Waffle house serving its typical food. The service is very good and fast. The place functions very efficiently and had a lot of business. I was pleased with the quality of my breakfast.

Tracey

By tazzzz13 |

I never thought I would write a review about a Waffle House because they are all consistent in food quality. But I have to recognize Tracey at this busy location across the street from Olympic Centennial Park. She remembered me from the day before and was very personable in every way. Thank you for making this northerner feel at home.

Breakfast Menu

By Afaq S |

I walked in after a few weeks for Breakfast before starting my day. The breakfast is good, but the service is average. The Breakfast Menu has a lot of options, especially for vegetarians, and the kids' menu is so good. Waffle House Menu.

Lunch after long day at convention

By trouthook69 |

As we needed lunch after sitting through a morning at a convention. We walked fronour hotel and figured you can never lose with Waffle house. Had to wait outside for a table for awhile which was unfortunate since side walk was full of homeless and people smoking drugs. Once inside the manger was quick in seating us a very professional keeping the isnside cleaned up. As usual hashbrowns and burgers fit the bill. Waiter quick and friendly. You can always count on a Waffle housr for good food and interesting atmosphere

Best Darn Waffle House

By AMB1964 |

I’ve only been to a few Waffle Houses in my life time and it’s always been during road trips and the very few I’ve been to where awful, dirty, old and lack of help. But this Waffle House was the very best. This restaurant was clean and the meal was very good. Fully staffed and they where hustling. They all where very friendly from the host to the waitress to the cashier. This is why I gave this place 5 stars. Very impressive...keep up the good work.

Not just for Waffles at a Convenient location

By Kailasanath |

There is more than waffles at the waffle house. This location is just across from one of the entrances to the Olympic Park. Can get a take out and eat at the park..

Fast and Good food

By samer2015 |

If you are looking for good fast food, then this is a good choice. We have a group breakfast and that didn't take up more than 20-30 minutes. The waitress was very good and she knew the menu by heart, and we had at least three cups of coffee, before, during and after.

Filthy Restataunt

By loki2469 |

My wife and I tried to eat at the Waffle House near the Omni in Atlanta. I know the Waffle House isn't fine dining, and I didn't expect it to be. However, this place is the filthiest restaurant I have ever been in. The cook line was a mess. There was food all over the floor, as well as a large, grey puddle all over the floor. I ordered two eggs, over easy and biscuits and gravy. The eggs arrived quickly, on a saucer, under-cooked. About 10 minutes later, the rest of the meal arrived. I gave the eggs to a kid sitting near me who was asking other customers to buy him food. After eating a biscuit, I gave him that as well. Once I went to pay the bill, I saw the conditions in the cook line and left, expecting to get sick at any time ( I didn't).

An experience

By Booha |

We knew Waffle House is a chain and has a standard formula, but promised our adult daughter that we’d stop in. Long line on a Saturday morning at 10 but it moved quickly and we were seated in 20 minutes, had orders placed in 5 more and were served in another 10. Good standard diner food but the waffles have an extra sweetness that I liked and the hash browns are nice and crispy. Only downside was food coming out as ready instead of all at once. We just shared each other’s and it worked fine.

Best Waffle House Out There

By Nathan M |

This Waffle House became our Dragoncon go-to breakfast spot once we discovered it was so close to our hotel. Despite it being crowded due to a high influx of convention traffic, the staff did their best to keep things clean and customers moving through happily. The staff was friendly and on point, got our orders accurate despite juggling what were likely many more customers than they were used to, and kept our coffee and water filled continuously. I'll definitely go back when visiting Dragoncon in the future.

WORST. SERVICE. HUMANLY. POSSIBLE.

By KiminPCB |

DO NOT GO HERE DO NOT GO HERE WHY? Kayla, our high as a damn kite server couldn't add 2+2 to save her life. Took the manager to come out from the back to get people straight, had to ask him for refills & our bill. Sad thing is that 3 tables of Caucasians walked in, sat down and everyone walked right past them 3 times! We alone waited 13mins for someone to come over and acknowledge us but the table in front of us who got seated after us was served immediately by Kayla who looked right at me and still walked away! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE.

Always a great place for breakfast

By BillW611 |

My wife and I ate breakfast at this Waffle House since we were staying at the Holiday Inn next door and because we have always liked the breakfasts served at Waffle Houses. The breakfast was good, the food abundant, and the service was unusually friendly to the point of being fun.

The experiences is pretty bad

By Logan W |

I walked in and said what I wanted and I was in there for about almost an hour still haven’t got my food not only that there was a woman in there that is coughing all over the food and servant of the people, and she was rude real rude, horrible service. I am never going back there and got one of my friends sick as well and I forgot to add the service lady was arguing with the cooker.

Really good

By Paul C |

I’ve never been a big fan of Waffle House but this particular one changed my mind. I even stopped there for breakfast all five days I was in town. The place was clean and bright. Menu is standard fare and everything is cooked fresh and fast. The staff there is awesome, a real plus.

Very busy place and super food

By Chrispy |

I went for later breakfast on checkout day from Hotel. Line up was 20 mins but room at the bar for 1..I was in luck. Sat down and was treated to a show as they use an assembly line to get through a crazy number of orders. Everything happened right in front of me and I marveled at how well it all ran. Now the food. I had Steak and eggs. Steak was thin but tasty and the hashbrowns were served with the perfect crunch and flavor you hope for. Eggs were poached hard and done as requested. Coffee was a bit weak but that is waffle house coffee. I'd suggest go out for an espresso if you want stronger.

Great ambiance, ok value for money

By Magnar Mo |

I have visited this place before. Great place to watch people during the morning rush. Plain food and ok value for money.

Lunch-iffy

By Susanne G |

You wouldn't think a Waffle House could get the formula wrong, but this one does. I had a hair in my drink. My eggs were under done. On a bright note the coffee was hot and my daughter liked her waffle. Eat at your own risk.

wouldn't bother to go

By dtctully |

went here around 4 on a Monday. only 3 other people in the restaurant. food was ok, but service was terrible. asked what was good, and waitress was very abrupt with a quick answer, of "people like the breakfast". never asked to refill the drinks, which included a free refill. never came to see if things were ok. Many other good choices out there.

It's a Waffle House

By sportsinfoguy |

I was a standard Waffle House. I had descent, hot food at a descent price. Staff was nice, but didn't go out of their way for anything. Exactly what I expect at a Waffle House.

Best waffle house yet

By Mrs_PsInsideScoop |

My husband and I had dinner here on a Thursday evening. It was clean and had a hint of bleach in the air. We were greeted with a chorus of welcome and asked if we were dining in or taking out. We dined in. Our server was pleasant but distant. The food came out in stages with the waffles taking the longest. The server apologized for the wait. The food was cooked quite well and wasn't swimming in grease, though of course, grease was present. They didn't skimp on the pecans in the waffle and the mushrooms in my hash browns were cooked perfectly. We were invited back upon leaving and the hostess made us feel quite welcome. I would recommend this location if you are in the mood for some quick, cheap, breakfast comfort food.

Best Ever

By Richard 2A |

This is the cleanest and well organized waffle house I've ever been to. The staff was very helpful and respectul. If you intend to eat here bring a jacket, it was Ice cold in this place. Its also located in the heart of downtown across from the SkyView Wheel.

Vacation breakfast

By Leonette Mitchell |

Great food! The service was good. No free parking around the diner. The average price was between $5-$12. The parking was my only gripe.

Our first time!

By Vicki A |

This was our very first visit EVER to a Waffle House. We were pleasantly surprised at how good it was. I had the pecan waffle and I LOVED it. Lots of pecans, which I also love. The hash browns were excellent. We will be back!

Typically great!

By Alan E |

I love Waffle House and this location beside centennial park and the ferries wheel is great. The normal controlled chaos of a busy Waffle House is there and the service and food were great as usual. You can walk off your hash browns by doing a few laps around the park.

Great Breakfast Very Good Service

By Matt P |

Second best breakfast I had. The service is always is good. They are always crowded at this location but they move quickly. The waffles are darn good. During our 5 day stay in ATL we came here twice because it was worth it.

Food is good, but everything else is dicey

By pillowsofwanderlust |

I've heard of and seen numerous Waffle House's while travelling. It seems to be primarily a Southeastern US chain; there are none in California. I suppose it is similar to the Denny's or IHOP brands in California, although this Waffle House I visited was smaller and skankier than any Denny's or IHOP's I've been to. Still, if famed Southern chef Sean Brock takes Anthony Bourdain to Waffle House on the latter's eponymous TV show, I figure it's worth a try. There were 2 Waffle Houses within walking distance to my downtown hotel. This was the closer one. It's gritty. There are a few tables and booths, plus 2 small counters (one high, one low) facing the open kitchen. All surfaces are hard and hopefully disinfectable. While I was there, the cement-floored kitchen was literally being hosed down with a garden hose (there is a floor drain). The restrooms, which I did not use, seem to be frequented by folks who aren't eating here and perhaps don't have a place to call home. If Atlanta had health inspection letter grades posted on restaurant windows (as is customary and required in Los Angeles), this Waffle House grade surely would NOT be an "A". I opted to order my food to go. None of the staff smiled at all. Some were courteous in a perfunctory way, while others were 99.9 percent attitude. The plastic-laminated menus are sticky. I wished I had brought hand sanitizer. NOTE there are 2 menus--one with the most popular items that is on every table, plus another more comprehensive one. I think breakfast is served all day. Orders are taken and bills written by hand the old-fashioned way--the only technology used is a calculator. They do take credit cards. I ordered the T-bone steak dinner, which comes with salad, hash browns and Texas toast, plus a pecan waffle. The steak was $11.90 and decent, considering its cost. Funny I was asked how I wanted it done--when it's only about a half-inch thick and undoubtedly previously frozen, it's hard to cook to order. The hash browns and toast were also decent. Waffle House does fancy versions of their hash browns as well as their waffles. The salad to-go container was as large as the one that held the steak, potatoes and toast. The waffle ($3.85) was quite good, even though served with "spread" instead of butter and syrup that, like McDonald's, has little if any maple. It wasn't too late when I visited, so there were families and groups dining. The place is open 24 hours, so I don't know what the late-night clientele is like. I would definitely visit Waffle House again, although maybe not this particular location.

Good value

By Kwidofir |

Typical waffle house, open 24 hours, good portions for the price. Food is good but the cleanliness could be better.

Nice all day breakfast

By Greytop13 |

Popped in here whilst visiting the Atlanta Olympic park. The place was clean and bright. The food was good though the eggs were a little under done for my liking. The staff are rather surly in my opinion not very welcoming at all.

Tasty, cheap food. Service was okay.

By Kevin |

We ate here twice (once for lunch and once for dinner). This was my first time getting to try Waffle House as an out-of-state visitor, and it definitely was very tasty. I had the patty melt my first time and then the egg breakfast platter my second time for dinner (along with sharing a pecan waffle). The hash browns were delicious; they're cooked a different way than I'm used to and I loved it. The waffle was good too; pecans added some crunch to the fluffiness of the waffle. The staff for the most part was friendly, but both times we went they forgot parts of our order so we had to ask for it again, but all in all it wasn't a big deal. I know they can get busy.

Pre-concert food!

By Carolinesc7 |

We stopped in here to grab dinner before a concert. We walked from The American Hotel, to Waffle House, and then on to the concert. We were seated promptly, and our food was served quickly. Food and service were fantastic! After the concert, this place was packed, so we were glad we stopped on the way in. Waffle House is never wrong!!

Cheap and Cheerful

By PJH67 |

I ate here with a colleague and we were happy with the food. It is cheap and cheerful but it is in a great location and just what you need for a reasonable breakfast at a good price. I would go back again.

An American Tradition re-visited

By Jerry N |

I took my wife to Waffle House for breakfast the morning we left Atlanta. Food was great, service was good.

Very very busy

By kheidecker |

Service was what you would expect from a waffle house. This location is very very busy all the time. Every time we went by there it had a line of people waiting to get in. Not that the food was overwhelmingly great but there really is noplace else around there to have a resonably price sit down meal especially with kids.

Not impressed

By SAdiva |

Wandered in here one evening when I needed a snack. Not impressed. The restaurant was dirty, menus still had breakfast egg on them, floors were dirty. Service was slow and then the lady still got my order wrong. I was hungry, so I ate the waffle - never again!

Friendly and gooooood food

By Dunc1971 |

Over visiting from England. Spotted this 24 hour waffle joint along from our hotel in Downtown Atlanta. Friendly, smiling service and well-priced, quality food. I had a bacon cheeseburger with hash brown and delicious iced tea. Yum! Recommended and the real deal.

fast service, good food

By Tajh D. |

Our favorite food place to eat at anytime of the day, being from New Jersey we don't have these so I tend to cherish every visit to one. Food came out fast, I always order the same (tbone steak and eggs with hash browns chunked and covered and a biscuit) and the service was nice. Ive never spent over $20 for food in waffle house

Top place!!

By Josh D |

I did something very wild and went in a train from NYC at 2 PM yesterday that got to Atlanta at 8:43 in the morning today!! People say I’m a wild boy for doing it but I’m not Steve O!! I was kind of dead to the world because I didn’t get a lot of sleep on the train and wanted energy!! I came here for breakfast and got a special with a waffle and bacon and coffee for 11 dollars!! All of it was very good and the servers were cool!!

Waffle Mansion

By harold b |

"Welcome to Waffle Mansion" , is how I was later greeted by the polite and well-mannered, Nubian diva, as the waitresses mostly are in there, and I mean that from the heart, not fasciciously. I felt like all the staff take pride in being there and want to be here serving keepimg it fun, light yet real! As a result, probably make great tips from the crossroads mix of Georgia Techies, Tourons, EX-0lympians of Centennial Park and adult children of night, thug life, and underworld. Parkings ample and available, and you may not even have to pay,if one is doing a short stay as Waffle Sessions usually are. The conversation you may overhear might be like something you would hear in a barbershop- Politically Incorrect- without a filter, yet always keeping it and bringing it back , so that nobody gets out of hand. The ladies that work here (as that's all I saw when I was there for a midnight brunch snack) seem to really maintain control ,and I felt comfortable and at ease ,and I always said , "please" and they always said, "thank you". I recommend this Waffle House over other places downtown ATL, if you're trying to find parking and you're trying to grab something good to eat that's consistent after midnight as that is always the challenge. Like my mama used to say , "usually nothing good comes out after midnight ", but here--that's the exception to the rule ;and that's why I went out of my hotel womb-just to eat and go go back to my room and sleep. Waffle Mansion is to Waffle Houses ,what a Sealy postureoedic is to a Serra, sorta like a " all-good night the hood".

Had to try it.........

By sibus2002 |

We visited Georgia for the first time and Waffle House is every where you look. We were down at Olympic Park and decided to finally try it. Not sure what they are shooting for, but poor service seemed to be a common theme. The food was average and you certainly do not feel welcome to stay and enjoy your breakfast and a second cup of coffee. I will say the bacon was tasty, but pretty hard to mess up bacon. We will not be giving them any return business.

Just look up... Jim Gaffigan's waffle house skit (comedy)

By Samara35 |

Jim Gaffigan's Waffle House skit pretty much describes this place. It's the type of experience you know going in is going to be disgusting and then it just is. Bathrooms too were like ones you'd find at a city gas station. Service was fast but that's about all there is to say good about any Waffle House. Ate here because it was close to the huge city ferris wheel and park across the street.

Eat at your own risk

By Roderick Richardson |

This establishment first left the phone off the hook so they wouldn’t take call in orders. It’s a complete mess. Staff is extremely aggressive. Note that if you want to dine in or order take out you have to stand outside in the elements. My order was inaccurate on top of everything else. Just know you’ll be disappointed. Eat at your own risk.

birthday

By Sheena L |

great place ,great location, its a great attraction to the park and nice views of atlanta. the food was actually hot and tasty. i would highly go back to the waffle house because i love breakfast food morn ,noon, and night. every waffle house exept for georgia tech because the cooks is all over the place and the way the way they place food on your plate. it look like slop. i told one server i wanted my steak well done, and eggs scrambled.... i got a bloody steak juice ran into my egg, but the waffle house ladies is basicly running the show.and made my order some what okay its a lot of college students but treat the food how you would want to eat it. that place is small and need more space.

Nice Spot for Breakfast in Atlanta

By Ken M |

This was probably the nicest WH I have been to. Very clean and just across the street from the Olympic Park. We were seated quickly and our server was very friendly. Otherwise, it is a WH and has the same menu that you can get any other WH location. A bonus was that the prices aren't higher just because they are in a downtown location. I recommend this WH for a nice affordable breakfast in downtown Atlanta.

Ok

By trayjr |

The food was good services was good had to wait about 15 min to sit down then when we did sit down the table was half wiped off

Great breakfast place

By Louise B |

Great breakfast place in particular. Good atmos. Good choice. We had 3 weeks of breakfast on our holiday and this was the last one- was the best and the cheapest we had- wish we’d discovered earlier. Hash browns excellent, eggs lovely and runny the way I like.

The staff and the security

By Ryan |

The staff and the security is claiming that they’re closed at the number of 404-680-7747. The entire business was unprofessional

Busy Restaurant for GOOD food and GOOD service

By boca m |

Visit Atlanta for 5 days in the Wyndham resort a block away, we went here for breakfast one morning and the place was FILLED with, and swamped outside with 20-30 more, young men/women attendees at the convention center for some skills convention. Staff suggested we do take-out breakfast - we did. Very good food, and fast considering how busy the place was. We returned another day for dinner; easy to get a booth for the three of us. Great attentive service and very good, fast, food. It's easy to give this place a bad review if the staff is overwhelmed with attendees from the nearby convention center; but this isn't really fair. The staff was always friendly with us, always did the best they could. Food was always tasty and good. I'm happy to return again.

Quick, cheap, good!

By Jill |

I had only been to a Waffle House once before (many, many years ago), so this was exciting for me! The food was quick, cheap and good. All that I imagined a Waffle House would be. I had grilled cheese and everyone else had waffles. The hashbrowns were really good with fried onions. This is as simple as it gets!

So much staff, it's a short wait to eat and go

By Chris_626 |

Everyone says Waffle House is the "staple of the south". We were passing through the town, and the dinner breakfast was good enough to have friendly service, low prices and then get us back on the road. I would not recommend this Dinner for large groups, seating is limited. It's an open kitchen diner that offers bar seating as well as table. we walked towards ga aquarium and this waffle house was right by centenial park. the place is really clean and a lot of tourist were eating here, not your typical waffle house. The food was great, fast and inexpensive could not be happier
