Good Eats

By Samiya7 |

We ordered ginger salad, miso soup, dumplings, California roll, 2 different ramen bowls, a thicker noodle bowl (forgot what it was called), crispy snapper roll and edamame. Soups arrived nice and hot. Everything tasted good. We really enjoyed the flavor of the different broths. My only constructive criticism would be that the rolls were tiny as were the salad portions. They also don’t do any birthday celebrations.

Pretty good sushi, busy place!

By Jessie R |

I found this little place recently when looking for sushi. I ordered my food there to take home. The restaurant was very busy which is a great sign. I ordered two rolls and the gyoza. Everything was very good! I do have to say that one of the hostesses was very sweet but the woman that gave me my food pretty much handed it to me and walked away! I wanted to make sure there was wasabi in my package but she acted like I really inconvenienced her!

Tasty Japanese Food

By klmaestra |

Try Wagaya for lunch if you have a chance. The lunch menu offers a lot of variety at a reasonable price. I enjoyed the spicy tuna roll and the California roll with a delicious seafood and cucumber salad and miso soup. All for $12. The variety of differently shaped dishes is very unique and provides and attractive tabletop view of the group's food. It is noisy, making it a bit hard to hear you lunch mates.

better some restaurants in Japan

By truffles444 |

we were looking for a new sushi restaurant and read many nice reviews about this restaurant. It was very busy for a Sunday night at 7:30, but we waited for about 15 minutes. Great craft beers from Japan. We were in Tokyo and Kyoto 6 months ago and we never saw the variety of beer that this restaurant had in the US. Most of the beer in Japan is just the big names just like going to a restaurant in the US and them saying all we have is Bud, Miller Lite, and Coors. We shared a Shoyu ramen which was good but not great. The rolls were interesting, one named after the owners baby JUJU had a slice of strawberry on it. They are small, but there are good values if you want to buy a combination of ramen and sushi. Still a great experience and a couple who has been to many of the sushi restaurants in this city, the flavors are nice. One bad thing they only have regular soy, so for americans who are used to low sodium soy, the salt is noticed

Nice selection and beer list

By mrlan |

I arrived at the restaurant late on a Tuesday evening and was happy to see a menu with lots of options, including sushi, ramen, rice bowls, and various snacks. I ordered agedashi tofu which had an interesting twist, deep fried mochi added to the tofu. The drink menu included unusual Japanese craft beers that are very difficult to find in the United States.

Great ambience and a variety of Japanese dishes

By jpjpjpjpj |

This restaurant has an amazing range of Japanese dishes - including sushi, ramen, and cooked rice and noodle dishes. The pork dumplings are superb and the fried rice dish with pork (though not a typical fried rice fan) was large, hearty and delicious! The ambience of the restaurant is nice and it is generally small. There can be a line, though arriving early or later, it's not a problem. Very good food from someone who's been to Japan.

First Visit

By Patricia M |

Loved our first time to try this place. Decor is great and our server was so attentive and informative about the food, sauces, flavors, etc. She took time to answer questions individually for a table of six like we were a two top. Not a sushi person myself I ordered the Ishiyaki chashu fried rice bowl. It's not like any other fried dish I've ever gotten. This was white rice served in a hot stone bowl that made it crispy & extremely tasty. Not sure but I may be spoiled now since I'm thinking other places will never offer a better fried rice for me again. Just so I could say I tried it I also ordered the shrimp tempura roll and of course you know I loved it. My friend taught me how to put some wasabi in my dipping soy sauce to spice it up a bit and that made it even better Of course my friends wanted me to try some of theirs as well and ok I admit it there maybe a sushi fan inside of me too!!!! As discussed though, only good sushi and I believe this is the spot to get the good stuff. However I did forgo traditional breakfast this morning so I could have my delicious leftover rice bowl 😀

Quality Sushi

Very good sushi. Fresh fish, lovely sides, great gyoza. Loved the spicy tuna sushi. Spinach was good. Great sizing too.

First Ramen

By taylorbaxter |

This was my first time trying Japanese ramen and it blew me away. The waiter was also able to pair a beer that went nicely with my dish. Overall the experience was great.

Wonderful experience and delicious food!

By Remy |

I’m a GT student and went here twice, once with a friend at lunch and another with my boyfriend for dinner. Both times was great! They have a nice selection of Japanese food items to choose from. Their online menu is the same as the menu you’ll use in store with a QR code. The fish is fresh and tempura is crispy. The nigiri and sashimi can be on the pricey side, but their lunch and dinner sets are well worth the money for their portion sizes. In terms of restaurant atmosphere, it’s very home-y with traditional Japanese sushi house decorations and uniforms. It’s a little small but has two unisex restrooms and each wooden table has a cute soy sauce pot. Staff is friendly and tended to us well. In the background, there’s the sound of the chefs cooking and Japanese music. If you like anime, you would recognize a couple anime songs haha. The location is right across from an Auto Spa and next to a gas station, so it can be difficult to find a parking space next to the area. I walked there from GT campus so it’s not too bad, but I do tend to be more cautious walking through. Nevertheless, I loved Wagaya and would definitely go again!

Very Reasonable Japanese Restaurant

By DAdadNYC |

First, it could be a 5 Stars if it has chairs. I understand you want to get the customers out as quick, but it is stingy. The food is very good. The sashimi are fresh and good portion, the combo is nice, the rolls are unique and the miso soup could taste a hint of clam. The tempura just like most of the other restaurants now: no flaky flakes but batter..,, Overall good value and tasty!

Really disappointing

By Ash L |

$3 salad is very small. Bitter taste. Ramen bowl $9, didn't like the flavor. Sushi roll $12.50 it was ok. It was interesting. Worst chicken teriyaki I've ever had. Bill was $60 for lunch for 4 people without drinks. The service was not good. We sat for ten minutes before someone came by. We saw them once more and had to chase someone down for a bill. Not going back.

Great place for a quick lunch

By Elana R |

We went here because we were craving some ramen. This was a great choice! The staff was friendly and welcoming and the service was very fast. Their food was absolutely delicious and was the best ramen I have had since living in Japan.

Terrible Service- arrogant management.

By ShawnAtlanta0123 |

Absolutely terrible service! I went there and it was busy, and our table was pretty much ignored by the server. Our ramen was waiting in the window for a good 6 minutes and we were just looking at it. The server brought it over and we tasted it and was room temperature... ramen should be very warm/hot, not luke warm. We had to track the server down for every little thing and asked for a new ramen because ours was sitting out for a while, the noodles were too soft, so she rolled her eyes. We had to track the manager down and he said he was too busy to talk with us, so he said he will be right back. He was just refilling waters, he wasn't too busy at all he was just roaming around ignoring us. So we told him we were just going to leave because he was so arrogant and being unprofessional. We saw a lot of other people being aggravated with the service as well. When we tasted the ramen it wasn't good anyways. I've had much better tonk ramen at many other places in Atlanta.

Fast Delicious Lunch!

By SGI_Beachman |

My first trip to a ramen restaurant and I ended up a at an amazing feast. The curry ramen was rich with flavor, not over powered with spice, and had a great balance of noodles and protein. The ramen + 2 is perfect. It gives you ramen and 2 sushi rolls. Going back for sure.

Premium wasabi

By Mapk09 |

I ordered a side of their pickled wasabi and tasted so good I started dipping my chopsticks into the sauce before the food came. It is delicious. The cucumber side roll very good. The sauce tray for the Katsuko was stuck to my tray with wasabi! So I ate that wasabi also. I like wasabi and theirs was the freshest I ate since Japan years ago.

Simply amazing each time!

By Phoenix C |

We always visit Wagaya when we are in Atlanta. They just make really really authentic Japanese food. Must haves: ramen, curry katsu, okonomiyaki, and the icecream dessert box

Great dining experience

By Lolita D |

My husband and I love Japanese food and we have been trying out Ramen at different restaurants in Atlanta. We had the Red Spicy Tonkotsu and it was delicious! We also had the katsu curry for our entree and it was great. For our appetizers we had the Gyu Tan: grilled beef tongue and the chicken nanban. Both were excellent! For drinks we had the sake and a peach sour. The drinks are served in these wooden ice boxes. And my peach sour had peach pieces frozen in the ice cubes. So cool! We liked the decor, the atmosphere and the friendly wait staff. Our tummies were so happy with the food.

Authentic Japanese. Delicious. Huge, varied Menu. It was comfort food at its best.

By Donald S |

It’s a new place for us. I was relieved to see it is authentic Japanese. I liked things on the menu, which was typically Japanese and not fusion. They would also make things not on the menu if they had the materials. The beef tongue was delicious. I liked the shishito peppers, but they were apparently deep-fried - greasy vs. grilled (what I thought I would get). The edamame were very fresh and perfectly cooked – unusual these days, since most are from non-authentic-Japanese restaurants. They have a somewhat limited but pretty good sake menu and more extensive wine and beer offerings. They have sakes I really like, so I was happy. I didn’t like the fact the bottle for was already opened, which to me is a sign of a bottle being refilled with different sake. That was off-putting, especially considering the expense ($30 for 350ml). The chirashi was a new take. I would say “deconstructed,” since the fish was on ice in one layer and the rice and toppings were in she second layer. That makes sense, since the rice is warmer and fish colder that way. The Hamachi yuzu jalapeño was like most I have had and fine. The amaebi were delicious, and they do offer cooked heads (yummy). I wasn’t as happy with the ikura. It tasted and had the texture of being soaked in water, which reduces the taste just to get a pop. Not so great. The other odd (for me) thing was the ankimo, which I really love. It was served hot. I have only ever had it cold over the last 30 years, so I wonderf if this was a mistake (warmed frozen monkfish liver in the microwave) or a different take on it. It wasn’t as wonderful/pleasant that way. Also, there was too much sesame oil on it, which took away from the taste. The special of kohada was also fine if not perfect. The chu-toro at $16 for 3 bites was okay but also not perfect. The presentations were generally quite nice (beautiful serving pieces) and the general ambience was also pleasing. The service was friendly, efficient and excellent. They do have “special” wasabi, which is a mix of some of the plant with artificial for $3. Since I know it is quite possible to get the real root, I wish they would offer that even for $10 or $20 or more. The menu is huge, so I didn’t get to sample everything, and they do have many of my favorites. We will be back for sure. Unfortunately, there are no reservations; so early dinner may be better than later.

outstanding!

By wallyhawn |

Quickly greeted, quickly seated, extensive Japanese menu, and quickly and politely served. Why don't I eat more Japanese food? There is a reason Tokyo has more Michelin star restaurants than Paris- the food is simple, sophisticated and delicious. The quality of the lunch(donburi and udon for me; salad, sushi and Okonomiyaki) far, FAR exceeded the expense, which is very very modest.

Delicious, Affordable Japanese in Midtown

By super-guillermo |

This place is popular, and for good reason. I went on a Sunday night and there was a twenty minute wait. I had the pork katsu curry, miso soup, tamago, crunchy 14th roll, and the shrimp tempura roll. All of it was exceptional. It isn't as expensive as other sushi places. The ramen looked delicious, it's what I'll try next time. They have a HUGE Japanese beer selection as well as a large sake selection, if you're into that.

The BEST Ramen in Atlanta

By PinkPanda1812 |

We live in Alabama. We drive to Atlanta just to eat there...A bit excessive..yes, but completely worth it. The most authentic Japanese cuisine in the area, easily on par with places in LA and SF. Everything is good there. I highly recommend it. Did I mention that we go for lunch, and then go back for dinner?

Yummy Ramen and Sushi in Midtown

By AJWNYC |

Have been looking for ramen and sushi in Atlanta and finally found a great place. Ordered take out for dinner - was ready in 15 minutes. Got the Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, Hamachi Yuzu and a salad. Everything was yummy. Excited to try the sushi and everything else on the menu.

Good sushi place

By Andreas001 |

This is a good sushi restaurant. I had a sushi and sashimi mix, the fish, nigiri and the rolls were of high quality. I was there for lunch and the restaurant was quite busy, so it might make sense to make a reservation for dinner.

Delicious!

By Randal L |

What a great find! Great food, great prices, and beautiful presentation! Take an Uber because the only thing lacking is good parking.

Small Japanese grocery store in west midtown Atlanta

By Jim W. |

If you need Japanese groceries near midtown in Atlanta, this is a good choice. Here are a few tips to help, though. Parking is in back of the shops, opposite 14th Street (turn on State Street to access). This place does not take cash. They also have a $5 minimum on credit cards. That isn't necessarily an issue, just be aware. They have a wide selection of Japanese groceries (by my standards, anyway) and about 1/4 of one aisle (single-side) dedicated to western stuff too.

Reasonable price and fresh food

By MonkeyKingFlorida |

They have good selections of beer. We ordered sushi, sashimi, and matcha box dessert. We like the food very much but we can skip the dessert. The service is good.

Excellent Menu, Service, and Value

By ATL_Jacket |

I had one of the better meals I've eaten in Atlanta at Wagaya this weekend. For under $20, you can get a massive tray of sushi, ramen, and fried foods. Everything is delicious and tastes extremely fresh. The gyoza were the best I've ever had. The drink service was excellent as well. Staff were constantly checking on our group, which is rare when you're out with students. I will definitely be back to try more menu items.

Delicious!

By Alex C |

This restaurant was very good. It was a bit pricier than I am used to for ramen, but none the less it was good. My friend got the sashimi platter and said everything was fresh and tasty, so we’d definitely recommend dropping by! (Their soy ramen was sooo good!)

A Midtown/Westside Must

By TraveledMilesPerHour |

Great bang for the buck. A perfect spot to meet friends and have a great bowl of Ramen with a side of sushi. Prompt service, friendly staff and a vibrant atmosphere that reminds me most of Japan of any restaurant in Atlanta. The Red and Black Ramen is my personal favorite! Check them out - I’m sure you’ll be pleasantly surprised! Cheers

Fast, Casual and Delicious

By MRM1655 |

Wagaya is a great spot for a quick Japanese dinner. Service is friendly and efficient. The food is excellent. We gave the ramen and sushi high marks. They have an interesting list of Japanese craft beers, more than I've seen anywhere else. Wagaya is a fun, high-energy spot with great food (and reasonable prices).

ok

By Kai C |

As others have noted, service is friendly and fast. Food - sushi & sashimi - was unexceptional.. not bad but also not standing out in any way. I liked the hokku (fish) but sushi felt tired. They have a large selection of drinks but on the expensive side ($9 beer, $11 sake).

Don’t miss this unique spot

By skinnyG1898 |

This was a very tasty sushi place (don’t miss the grocery store downstairs!) Service was fast on a busy Friday night. I had the bagel roll and my wife had the shrimp tempura roll. I enjoyed an imported Japanese craft beer so much during dinner that I found more of it (and cheaper) at the grocery store downstairs. We bought some unique desserts at the grocery too. It was a nice evening.

This how you serve ramen!!!

By David W |

his place knocked our socks off! The ramen + 2 dishes are amazing. Fast courteous service and the food! Oh, the food! Lunch for four and we all ordered a different ramen bowl with an assortment of sushi as an accompaniment. Each and every item was amazing! If this sounds like I'm gushing, well, I am. Living in West Georgia out by the Alabama line, we've been starved for quality Asian (especially Japanese) for a long time.

GREAT FOOD- NOT SO GREAT SERVICE

By JMICHAEL |

Was in Atlanta visiting friends and went here for a casual dinner. It was a Saturday night so we went early around 6 pm and had no trouble getting a table. The restaurant is sparsely furnished but adequate. It advertises itself for Japanese Cuisine and Sushi Bar, that is correct, also a nice selection of Sake and Japanese beers.. The seaweed salad was delicious and the Miso soup very good. 4 of us ordered the •Sushi Deluxe*- 10 pieces of sushi plus a tuna roll. The fish was very fresh and the problem was the one of us did not get his order. The waiter was called and said it would be right out.--- 20 minutes later after the tables around us got their ordered, some of which were not even seated when we started, he got his food by that time we were all finished eating.. They offered him (only) some type of dessert which he was not interested in, just wanted to eat and leave this place.

Amazing ramen!

By MartiniDeanie |

I took my son, his girlfriend and their friend here before heading to IKEA. We arrived 20 minutes before they opened and are glad we did. We can see why there was already a line of 8 waiting outside. It was fantastic! We had 4 different appetizers and 3 different versions of the ramen. Everyone was satisfied! Will come again! Be aware, very minimal parking so plan accordingly.

Excellent place for lunch

By James L |

I heard Wagaya has been open for a year but I only started coming here about a month ago. I eat here for lunch, and I have to say the food is pretty good. They have a wide variety of selection from sushi, udon, and rice/lunch boxes. The service is excellent and the food comes out pretty fast. The prices for lunch is reasonable but get there early because it fills up fast. Next time, I might try their sushi bar or come for dinner. The only bad thing is parking is hard to find.

Definitely Go!

By CinOK |

We decided to go here because it was in walking distance from Atlantic Station. So glad we did. It was packed with locals. We had the best meal here. The Gyoza soup was fantastic. Service was attentive and the place was clean.

Outstanding Ramen Soup!!

By Bryan Williams |

Checked TripAdvisor for Ramen in Atlanta and Wagaya topped the list, decided to give them a try. Great city location, small but very quaint Sushi bar and resturant combination. Grabbed a seat at the Sushi bar and ordered up some sushi as an appetizer (tuna and yellowtail) melted in my moy so decided to order another just as good. Now for the real reason I stopped in Red Spicy Ramen with Pork Belly and it was out of this world. I would highly recommend this little spot for some top quality Japanese Food!! Don't miss out on the Ramen;-))

Two thin pork slices for shoyu ramen

By SthlmJoe |

I had shoyu ramen today. It came with two thin slices pork, it was sooooo thin I was disappointed and had to write a how poor this restaurant is. I've been to japan and all over the world. Yet i've never seen more poor ramen like this. Even in Thailand, for the price of a ramen like this, I would be given more meat. The ramen noodles was also not well worked, it was like a clump. And they should at least sprinkle a bit more chives. It's so poor I suggest remove the ramen and focus on only sushi, clearly you cannot handle many types of food under one roof. Please don't make bad reputation for japanese food.

Fantastic!

By ourteam4 |

Delicious food! Fabulous presentation! Fantastic service! Great menu! The udon was so flavorful! The miso soup and California rolls were great for our kids! I definitely recommend it!!

Fun Vibe, casual setting with excellent food!

By TBONEWILLY999 |

My wife and I dine at Wagaya 3 or 4 times a month, and often get delivery. They have a new menu with pictures which is great for some of the Japanese dishes. Service: The service here is good, the servers work together as a team to care of the patrons. This place is small so getting someone's attention is very easy. Sushi: I crave the Chūtoro from here. It's amazing. I have always been pleased with the sushi, its always fresh and prepared with good tasting rice. The nega Toro roll is one of my favorites, its very simple. They serve a ton of Ramen, the red spicy is my favorite. A good selection of Sake and Japanese beer as well. I've eaten at Umi, O-Ku, and MF Sushi and they are all great high end sushi places, but I eat here most often. Limited parking in the back and you park along State Street. Next door to the BP Station on one side and Better Half Restaurant on the other. Across the street from a car wash. Small strip center on the corner of 14th and State Street.

Good food fast

By LPF |

This is a small place on14th Street but very popular at lunch. The food was real good and best of all service was prompt and wait staff polite. We had a number of different things and all were really good, I do wish they had more than one choice for hot sake however, which was a tad pricey.

Fast and friendly service.

By Bart B |

Walked in waited about 5 mins and sat down. A little tight but clean and fresh atmosphere. Super fast service. Received our meal within 5 mins of ordering. Highly recommend if in the area.

Most authentic Japanese experience in Midtown (West)

By Loa D |

I was very surprised to find this wonderful restaurant just recently. It's located on 14th St, west of Midtown. It's relatively small which makes it even nicer. The decor, tables, seats, dividers are very much in traditional Japanese style. The staff is really nice. Tables are arranged very close to each other, so you will very close to your neighbors, but it's not invasive, especially because the tables hare comfortable. The food selection is great. I was delighted to try several dishes for the first time, and they all were excellent. This restaurant is cozy, authentic, casual and the food is fairly priced. Highly recommended.

Great food and drinks, and terrific service

By UE_DC64 |

It is walking distance from Georgia Tech but off the busy path. The interior is classic—simple but warm. The service was very welcoming, fast, and knowledgable. Our waiter was very good in guiding us through the surprisingly long dinner menu and the impressive Japanese beer selection. We were not so hungry, but i had ramen + 2 sushi option and opted for red spicy to lotus ramen and salmon and yellow tail sushi. It was delicious and very filling. The ramen had a nice kick but was not too spicy. Daughter had a selection of sushi and was very happy. And wife had miso soup and onigiri (which was the only item we tried that was not very good). I tried a few Japanese beers and we also tried the green apple sour cocktail. We had a great time and were very happy with the food. And not too expensive either. About $100 with 2 beers, cocktails, and two glasses of wine

Perfect pre-theater spot

By Nonamekey |

This is a hidden gem. I have driven by here countless time and never knew what wonderfullness awaited. Silly me. Tako Yaki and Okonomiyoki, both normally hard to find and favorites of mine on the menu here. This is a very competent Japanese kitchen. My wife prefers her food, er, well, cooked while me, not so much. We were both thoroughly accommodated and enjoyed our meals. Service was prompt and thoughtful. Now mind this was a right after they opened pre-theater meal so not crowded at all. Oh, I almost forgot, another favorite, Asahi beer on draught. Go, eat, love.

Stellar Japanese

By ttbryan1 |

I stumbled upon this place tonight with 2 friends after trying to go to Better Half. Better Half is located next door, but was closed due to a private party. Wagaya was starting to get busy, but we were lucky enough to get a seat, immediately. We started out with the dumplings, which were good, but had a kick to them. For dinner, I had the tonkotsu ramen noodle plus two sushi rolls: spicy tuna and california. All were good, particularly the noodle dish. One of my friends had the same ramen dish with the other two rolls: avocado salmon and cruncy yellowtail. He liked his dish, as well. My other friend started with tuna nagiri, which he really liked. Then, he had the spicy curry ramen, which he really liked. All of our dinners were good and the service was good, as well. The prices were fine and I would recommend this place for a small group of adults.

Great Ramen

By Bill R |

Had lunch there today for the 3rd time and I enjoy it more each time I go. Had the white ramen today and the broth flavor was very rich & intense. The plentiful noodles were done just right. I never knew ramen could be this good. It's an amazingly excellent lunch for not a lot of money. Service is very fast & attentive. Will be going back many more times.

Good lunch stop

By edge46 |

Was in the area for business and stopped here for lunch with a friend. Our waiter suggested to try Red Spicy Tonkotsu (I also ordered gyoza as an appetizer). Both dishes well presented and flavorful. The decor and ambience are good and the service was excellent (even though they were very busy). Will try this place for dinner next time.

Good ramen and sushi

By Rather_Nomadic |

Good assortment of Japanese good and a great variety of Japanese beers. I️ got the ramen and sushi combo which was great. The tonkotsu black was tasty ramen plus the two tuna rolls were fresh. Small on the inside but they maximize the space. Very friendly and attentive service. Parking is all on street in surrounding neighborhood so read signs carefully.

Good value for money!

By Federico P |

Don't get me wrong some people love this place and some dishes are pretty good (e.g. the chashu pork in a stone bowl is delicious) but I have tried authentic Japanese and this is not quite there yet! The personnel is very helpful though, the location is practical and prices are affordable! Definitely head to Wagaya, it's still better than papa john's! Their lunch specials are very good!

Oasis of healthy food

By lteast |

I ate here on my arrival in midtown, as I was desperate to find a restaurant that was not junk food. Wagaya is basic, in the sense of wooden tables and chairs, but cosy and it was very full, with a lot of Asian people. The tempura was good, but the large sashimi was a little too much, and cut a bit thick, They also ran out of draft beer! Good selection of specials. Food was good value, and I would go back.

Good meal decent service

By SpotTVMom |

Decent meal- not my favorite Japanese meal but it was good. Staff seem to be knowledgeable about gluten free. Most of their menu is not gluten-free. Even their sushi they rice said they said contains gluten miso soup contains gluten. That was all disappointing. They did make me a bowl with chicken, egg and plain rice and had gluten-free soy sauce but it was very plain. The rest of our party enjoyed their meals. It was good Japanese just not amazing Japanese. Busy spot with very bad benches. Not worth the drive from Alphreatta.

It didn't make my hit parade.

By StockholmKindaGuy |

Wagaya is a small casual Japanese restaurant in the Atlantic Station area. They're grouped with a couple of other businesses with parking on the street. Their menu offers a range of Japanese dishes, including some lunch specials. I'd come for the sushi, but wasn't bowled over by their offering. I settled for one of the lunch specials that included miso soup, terriyaki chicken and two rolls. The miso was the best of the lot, with the terriyaki chicken coming in second. The rolls were small and none was wonderful. The spicy tuna roll was extremely bland. It was even hard for me to tell it was a spicy tuna roll. The crunchy yellowtail was a little better. A disappointing lunch for $13. Service on the other hand was very good. Not on par with other Japanese restaurants in Atlanta.

Fresh Sushi

By Tish R |

The sushi here was so good. It tasted so fresh and delicious. My fav was the double shrimp roll. The service was fast. I will definitely be back.

Great Ramen, Wonderful Atmosphere

By Wanderlust3483 |

Wagaya is busy for a reason- it is delicious! The ramen is very tasty and so are the pork dumplings. The people I was with had sushi as well and said it was also great. The atmosphere is as cozy and warm as the ramen and the servers are very friendly.

Great Lunch

By Bill R |

Every time I visit the location on the west side of town I wish for one nearer to me. The food is constantly delicious and service is spot on. Yesterday I had the red spicy ramen and the flavors were so intense and the amount of heat perfectly enhanced the broth & noodles. The egg in the soup had been cooked only enough to barely set the yolk. I can't wait until my next visit and I hear they are opening a location at Emory.

Best sushi I've had in a long time.

By IEat_ITravel |

This is a great little place that is always busy. In addition to sushi, they serve all kinds of great Japanese cuisine, but I couldn't step away from their terrific bowls of sushi. Their specials are very reasonable - a bowl of sashimi sushi and a big bowl of Udon noodles, just $10.95 for lunch, and $16.95 for dinner. Super fresh sashimi, the largest Ikura pearls I've ever eaten had little salt and were just delicious.
