I heard about a special 11-course menu they were serving at the sushi bar for $100 and knew I had to check it out. I made reservations for myself, my boyfriend, and my friend that was in town. My friend was a bit late, but the staff was extremely patient and sat us as soon as she arrived. Our server, Juan, was fantastic at going over the menu, offering suggestions, and answering any questions we had. The sushi chef we had was also incredibly knowledgeable and explained each dish as he served it. All three of us loved everything and the attention to detail with each piece of nigiri served. Each piece was an entirely new experience with sauce, textures, flavor, and mouthfeel, just wow. My favorite was the medium-fatty Tuna, Chutoro, but the red miso soup as the last course stunned me. I've never had a red miso soup before, it was smoky and packed with flavor. I ordered the Snow Monkey cocktail and was very impressed with how balanced it was. My friend ordered two of the TLM, she liked it so much. And my boyfriend enjoyed the Timeless (their take on an Old Fashioned) and a sake flight. Overall, I thought the 11 courses were the perfect amount of food for me and my friend. My boyfriend decided to order the New Zealand Salmon to feel a bit more satiated. We ordered the Miso Soft Serve to share since it's quite big and they brought out a complimentary Coffee Bean dessert with it, which was such a wonderful surprise. It was very tasty and offered quite the presentation. The assistant general manager stopped by to chat, which I appreciated. As a side note, the restaurant is gorgeous and has the perfect vibes for a date night or meeting up with friends. I can't wait to come back, I'm telling everyone about this place!

Very delicious menu items for Social Hour. Did not see some of the items that the website listed, though (ramen). Everything we tried was very tasty and well presented. We have the sea bass, rice cakes, cucumber and cannot remember what else... but loved it all. Nice respite from the crowd.

I never write bad reviews but this was so bad, I feel compelled. We ate there last night in a party of 5. Sat at 830 for our reservation and it is a beautiful restaurant. We ordered the $175 6 course tasting menu. For the price it is a huge rip off. We could have ordered three time the amount of food off the menu for $175 a person and the food was very basic. Two tiny slice of crudo each, two tiny oysters each, a little nub of baked fish. Then after the first three course which were slow but not offensively slow we sat without food for almost 90 mins. Finally I flagged a manager down and we were given our two next courses, sushi and steak, together which is such a weird combination to be served together. The manager offered us a round of sake for this course which was very nice until the serve knocked one if the glasses of sake into my friends lap. Our meal wasn't finished until 11 or 1130 which is ridiculously slow for a meal that was barely 6 courses. There are so many great restaurants in Vegas, do not waste your time or money here!

WAKUDA is a great place to go for quality and fresh sushi and Japanese food. I have been impressed with everything that they have available here and the atmosphere that they have available here. The staff here is very helpful and accommodating to make sure that you have everything that you need.

Amazing food and drinks. Beautiful and relaxing resturant. A little bit of over-service. At one point there were three wait staff at our table and that was uncomfortable.

Tremendous!!! I went to the bar with a friend and had FANTASTIC food and cocktails. We had a few cold dishes - the King salmon tartare, the Lobster ceviche and the crispy rice tuna. They, along with our cocktails, were delicious. The service also was impeccable and they were all super nice! The restaurant is visually stunning!! I cannot wait to visit again and really experience the menu. Really had just a wonderful night here.

Wow. From a Japanese foodie perspective, Wakuda is amazing. Our 10 course tasting dinner for NYE was the best restaurant experience I have had in the US. A special thank you to Erin for the top-flight service.

Booked for an early dinner in the lounge before a Wednesday U2 show and expected to order off the advertised “Social Hour” menu. Once seated we were told they don’t have that menu on show nights - this should be noted on the website. We ordered several dishes off the regular menu and they were all beautiful to look at and even better to eat, food is 5 star. We were disappointed with the wine selection which was was $$$$$ with no decent offerings under $100. (To be fair we found this was the case at several good restaurants in Vegas… would it kill you to put a few good mid-range options on the list!?) Great vibe, service was excellent and the pace was perfect.

We had a 5:15pm reservation on a Friday night, but they were able to get us in at 5 o’clock when we arrived. We were immediate asked if we were going to the show and we loved that they did! They placed us in the bar area, which was small and full of diners attending the show. I was nervous about the music since I read reviews that it was loud, but it was very hip and offered a great Vegas vibe for our pre-show meal. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and very attentive. She was very courteous of our timeframe and was always quick to check in with us. We started with the Kanpachi Carpaccio and King Salmon Truffle (our favorite). For dinner, we enjoyed the Lamb and Duck (ordering sides of white rice). Wish we had time for dessert! The food, service, and drinks were outstanding, but the atmosphere was our favorite. Perfect spot to connect with other show-goers and kick off a fun Vegas weekend.

We have previously been fortunate to enjoy Chef Tetsuya-san in his Sydney (2x) and Singapore (2x) restaurants and have always been amazed with his culinary vision. Thank you now for opening @ Palazzo, Las Vegas and for sharing your amazing food passions with us. Vegas has had great Japanese for a while, but Wakuda immediately takes the top honours hands down. Fish from Japan and around North America! We dined within the first few days of opening and the Cool vibe/relaxed setting with lots of Japanese Art and Shinjuku referenc. This is Lux/Casual dining at its best. Staff helpful and professional and executed at a high level so early in their opening. For more quiet/formal setting, try the Omakase Private Dining experience, but pricing at $500 plus may not be possible for all. Instead A la carte allows you to build your own at your price point. So there are lots of options. We look forward to returning again very soon. Reservations advised as this is currently one of the hottest (and best!) places on or off the strip. Thanks again Chef Tets and team for taking care of us! We hope others will have the Good fortune of Enjoying.

My wife and I ate here before the Backstreet Boys concert in the Sphere and were blown away. The service was incredible. The cocktails were incredible. The saki flight was incredible. The A5 beef tartare was incredible. Above all the sushi was insane - the salmon, tuna, snapper - wow. Is it expensive? Yes, but we will def go back when in Vegas.

Girls trip to Vegas! We chose Wakuda for its interesting menu and proximity to the Sphere — and it ended up being the highlight of an already fantastic trip. From the moment we arrived, the hostess greeted us warmly and showed a genuine interest in what brought us there. Our waiter was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu — the tri-colored cauliflower, beet salad, and octopus were all exceptional. Although we weren’t initially in the mood for dessert, we decided to try the miso ice cream — it was fantastic and nothing like we expected (in the best way!). The espresso martinis were perfect, and the Albariño paired beautifully with our meal. To top it all off, Michael went above and beyond, not only making sure we knew how to get to the Sphere but also offering great recommendations for the rest of our stay in Vegas. I’ll absolutely be back next time I’m in town!

It was absolutely amazing! And the table service was outstanding! What an experience. Expensive but beautiful food. All worth it.

Some of the freshest sushi and fish we've had anywhere. We had beet salads. My wife ordered the grilled salmon,kt was incredible! I ordered the Salmon truffle and the Kanpach carpacc and one bottle of Kiminoi sake which was delicious. We both had Miso ice cream for desert. Our waitress Alexandria was great, she really knew the menu.

This review is 𝟏𝟎𝟎% 𝙢𝙮 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙙𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙢𝙮 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙤𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨. 𝙄 𝙙𝙤 𝙣𝙤𝙩 𝙪𝙨𝙚 𝘼𝙄 𝙖𝙩 𝙖𝙡𝙡, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧. I am an educated woman from Northern California. Trip Advisor, please stop questioning my authenticity! 𝙒𝙤𝙬, doesn’t begin to describe this exclusive feeling Omakase private dining experience in Wakuda of the Venetian Resort Las Vegas. From the moment our family of couples, party of 6 (party of 8 is best for a complete group) was greeted and then escorted through the main restaurant and back through a hidden doorway until our departure, we were treated with respectful and kind professionalism. From “go” it was apparent that this was an elevated dining event. Tucked back in a darker corner, behind an actual hidden doorway wall, we were ushered into a quaint, little private bar area. The lighting was dim and the feeling was akin to secret Speakeasy. We were now joined with another party of two (unrelated to our group) as the private Omakase dining is prepared for a total party of eight. We all were handed a flute of champagne and we toasted the evening ahead. The little, private bar provided us all an adult beverage of our choice; and we mingled here only briefly before moving through yet another hidden door, to the dining bar where the Chefs stood proudly behind. We were there in September of 2025 and I am writing this review at the end of October. I wish I could recall the names and exact tastes of some of the exquisitely prepared dishes that we enjoyed. I do have photos though! Please know that this is most likely 𝙣𝙤𝙩 an ideal dining choice for bringing small or young children. Maybe not even suitable for most teens as the culinary tastes provided were more in line for maturer and more developed taste palettes. Think sushi grade fish, Foie gras and other specialty menu items. (In other words: no chicken nuggets or Mac n Cheese in sight.) The two expert Chefs were excellent in explaining about the cuts, costs and types of fish as well as giving us constant detailed descriptions of what we were about to eat. The individual dishes were small in portion sizes however abundant in quality and quantity. I was so full that there was more than one dish that I simply could not eat. Each dish was beautifully prepared with incredible detail before us. The sushi was all wonderfully fresh and so easy to enjoy. Our own personal bartender returned often to bring us whatever drinks we desired. My sister and I enjoyed Aperol Spritzes the entire evening while my husband drank Old Fashioned(s) and her husband had Tom Collins. My adult niece and her husband were more adventurous and tried other bar created mixed beverages. The whole night was a very non rushed and luxurious feeling, curated event. This is a wonderful way to dine with close family or friends, particularly if you have a party of 8 and a wonderful reason to celebrate. The Wakuda private Omakase experience inside of The Venetian Resort is an incredible fine dining event and I highly recommend it as a rare dining privilege.

When you are in Vegas you just want the top of everything than if you like Japanese food this is the very expensive place but is the place to be. We are looking for Wagyu beef in any different way. We had the Wagyu Sushi, the Wagyu Makinono, the Wagyu Gyoza and even the grilled Octopus! This place give you a real experience in Japanese cuisine that if you pay…. a lots!

I noticed an advertisement for Wakuda during our stay at the Palazzo over the 4th of July weekend. Our experience with high end sushi includes the Nozawa Bar in Beverly Hills, Nobu, and Japan. After we had a not so great experience at Nobu we were hesitant to try another sushi restaurant in Las Vegas but we decided to go for it. Our reservations were for 6pm on a Sunday evening we were promptly seated. After zig zagging through a long, dark, and eccentric hallway we entered into a beautiful and serene dining room adorned with a cherry tree in bloom. We were seated at a table by a floor to ceiling window with a view of the patio and at 6pm, the lighting was perfect. Our waitress ( gosh I wish I remembered her name) was friendly, outgoing, informative, and fun. We very much appreciated her engagement in our selections and the special attention she gave our young daughter. The nigiri was impeccable. The sushi was simple yet exquisite. The experience was perfect. Thank you Wakuda and staff and to the chef for redeeming our sushi dreams. We will be back and have our eye on the Omakase room.

I would not recommend this place. I have been dining out in Las Vegas and San Francisco Bay area for many years and this place is a major disappointment.

We waited 1:30hrs to get our table even though we had a reservation. But they gave us a sashimi and nigiris to apologize. The restaurant is very instagramable, great for pictures. The waiters were always in a hurry while ordering some food or drinks the ran and ran made us feel pressured. We paid $105 per person with 2 drinks and not a lot of food and no dessert the portions are the smallest.

we ate at Wakuda through our pre-purchase package. This meal was prepaid through Vibee (F1 Package), but we were not 100% sure how it worked at this restaurant since we had paid for it 5 months earlier. Upon sitting down our server knew nothing about it and it took a while for her to figure this out and she came back and told us we had prepaid $390.00 in credit. She then recommended the the tasting menu for nine courses and we had this and two drinks from her recommendation. The service was very slow to the point we had to ask her for the last two services to be brought together after waiting over 35 minutes for the last course we had received. We asked for the last two courses and the bill to be brought all at once because we were now at the restaurant over 2 1/2 hours which is exceedingly long for this dinner and that was without the last two courses. She then took my credit card and charged it and brought the bill to sign, but had now charged the entire $535 for two tasting menus and two drinks (no credit for my pre-pay). I explained again to Coco, our server, that she has not taken off the money that we pre-paid and she then left again to have a manager fix this. We saw her talking with one of the managers for about 5 to 7 minutes and then she came back to the table with a new total for us that now included the prepay subtracted, but then she added $100 tip for herself! I explained that there was no tip added to our previous bill because I like to tip in cash and for a table of two and we did not approve her just adding it herself. I asked to speak to a manager because at this point, I believe she was taking advantage of the situation and fearing less "tip" due to her mistakes and the excessively long waits we were having. Enter Mr. Andy, St. John, operations manager. Having watched him talk to her previously, he walked to our table and said to us, "Is there something I can help you with", like he had no idea what was happening. I explained that I did not want a service fee added to this bill without our approval. He then told me that Vibee Requires them to add that to every bill. I Explained it was not added to our previous bill that she brought over (for full price). In a very arrogant and condescending tone, he got loud and said "Don’t tell me how to run a restaurant because you don’t know what you’re talking about". I’m sure it was meant to be a little humiliating with the volume at which he said this to me, but he did then present the corrected check/bill, which was now $140 above our initial prepay/spend and we signed that, left our tip and left late for the race. The next morning I did verify with Vibee that he is 100% incorrect and simply lied out of arrogance and possible embarrassment. Vibee does not require every check/bill to have gratuity added. His intentionally loud, condescending and disrespectful tone was uncalled for. He had no answer for why the previous check did not have the gratuity added when i asked and skipped over that completely in telling us "Thank you and have a nice night". I would never recommend this establishment and Mr St. John has zero reason to be in a managerial role in an establishment of this caliber. His actions were undignified when all he really had to do was say he was sorry and figure out what our server had done after we left. The final straw (a day later) is the fact that I found out our dinners were to 100% prepaid from Vibee. Our prepayment was for a 5 course tasting menu, two drinks, all taxes and gratuities. SO.... shame on me for not remembering this for 5 months, but not only did they upsell us, we paid tax, tip and the cost of drinks twice. Below is Vibee Verbiage from their website offer: Pre-Show Dinner: WAKUDA WAKUDA redefines high-end, modern Japanese dining. Helmed by two-Michelin-starred chef Tetsuya Wakuda, Vibee guests can enjoy a specially-prepared 5-course pre-Race dinner with cocktail. Price inclusive of gratuity & tax. UPDATE: they are pushing through my credit card for the full amount. I am now in dispute on that with my credit card!

This is a new spot in the Palazzo, near the front desk. Palazzo still offers free parking. With the proliferation of Asian eateries in Vegas, it is fair to ask what differentiates one from another. In Palazzo, for example, you will find SushiSamba, which is a very good Asian fusion. This, however, is a true Japanese restaurant. It is Chef Wakuda’s first in the United States. The room is small by Strip standards, not too loud for table talk. Art and decor is seemingly authentic, dominated by giant butt to butt statuary. Service was appropriately attentive with orders coming out timely and well spaced. Sashimi was quite thin with elegant preparation and presentation. Four of us shared all dishes (about 7) including our favorite tooth fish (sea bass). The miso ice cream was a unique flavor, and the manager asked us to try a granita with Japanese melon that was delicate and tasty. With a pretty good variety that didn’t leave us hungry, we were out at about $125pp. Remember, however, that the Japanese have a word for eating only until one is 80% full.

Honestly what a waste. Service was underwhelming. The food was nice but generally just okay. We had all you can eat sushi in Henderson last week, the food was comparable, but the quality was better here. We paid $39 per head all you can eat at Henderson and we paid $900 between 4 people here with two drinks each. I left this place hungry because the thought of having 4 more dishes of desert at $25 a head was painful. This place is everything that is wrong with vegas. The second drinks took 40 minutes to arrive, and the waiters/ waitresses described making it as if he or she has just brewed the cure to cancer. If you want to pay for average food and gain some form of vegas clout by paying 3 times the value, give this place a go. The food was fine, the people fine. The price RIDICULOUS

There are a lot of good sushi spots in Vegas…places like Kumi or Otoro for example. Wakuda is definitely more expensive than both of those and in our opinion not as good. Food The food is good. But for that price it should be better. You won’t hate it but as I mentioned before, Kumi or Otoro do it better. Service The staff is professional and attentive. Vibe The vibe is definitely unique and better than Kumi or Otoro. It’s more modern, they spent more money on decor and it’s more thematic. I think most people come here for the vibe first and food second. Overall It’s hard to recommend it when there are better places in similar price range in Vegas but if you end up going you won’t hate it.

Haven’t done a review in a while - this is hands down the best Japanese / Sushi in Vegas. One of the coolest restaurants, great Japanese tuna toast, super fresh scallops, marinated cucumber is nuts, hamachi and salmon, really it is all good - see pictures.

"the food is excellent, the setting very pleasant. The service: a disaster. dishes and coffee forgotten but the unfortunate thing is that I paid my bill in cash and when I checked out the Ventian asked me to pay my restaurant bill. I paid my bill twice and is desperately trying to reach the wakuda restaurant. A SHAME for a starred restaurant. I got a response by e-mail. The restaurant tells me that I have not paid my bill but that I left a tip of 150 dollars to an incompetent and thief waiter !!!!

Located in Palazzo hotel this restaurant presenting high level Japanese cuisine, with wide choice of sake and wines. Price are quit high, but sometimes it's worth to spend quality time.

Incredible Dinner at Wakuda – Koko Made It Unforgettable Wakuda at The Palazzo is a true gem. The food is next-level—from the freshest sushi to the most tender duck and perfectly marbled wagyu. Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. But the real highlight of the night was Koko, our server. She was warm, funny, and instantly made us feel at home. Her recommendations were spot-on and turned an already great meal into something unforgettable. We’ll absolutely be back—and we’ll be asking for Koko by name!

I had stumbled upon Wakuda after looking up unique places to dine in Las Vegas. My husband and I appreciate places where you can go and have an experience - with high-quality service and ingredients. We love Japanese cuisine and WAKUDA looked like the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised and their impeccable attention to detail and 5-star service. Our reservation was for 18:00 but given our time zone difference we were already hungry. Luckily the restaurant opens at 17:00 and we were able to be seated earlier than planned. The hosts at the front desk were friendly and approachable and automatically commended us on our anniversary celebration, seating us with a smile while once we were shown to our booth. We had Travis taking care of us, who, also offered a congratulations to us and asked us if we'd been here before and what some of the most unique options were on the menu. We like to try items we cannot typically order at home so we opted for a nice selection of the Aburi New Zealand King Salmon sushi, Japanese A5 Wagyu sushi, the night's specialty sushi which was a black perch, makimono Tuna roll, miso soup - traditional red miso rather than typical white miso was quite tasty, and the grilled octopus. I also wanted to sample Sake and opted for the flight of three to see which style we preferred. This was a nice way to taste the varieties and see the difference in the tones when we were enjoying the flavours of the meal. Having decided on one, Travis offered a glass of one of their premium selection Sakes, KIMINOI - Emperor's Well - which was served in a wine glass for optimal aromatics and tasting. This Sake was delicious! Having finished our miso soups ( a la fin) we were given the recommendation of their miso and coconut ice cream for our dessert - to carry through the miso tastes we had just enjoyed. It was topped with gold leaf foil and presented to us with Happy Anniversary written along the plate. We had a wonderful experience at WAKUDA. Perhaps we'll have the opportunity to try the sister restaurant in Singapore. Highly recommend this place from the ambiance to the service.

Booked Wakuda for a pre show dinner. Was not disappointed. The service was great, the ambience was just right, and the food was delightful. Went with various Sashimi for starters, the Otoro is definitely worth it. For my main, I had the Duck On The Rocks, and it was superb. I then revisited the Sushi menu and finished off with snow crab. Highly recommend, and although not cheap, I thought most menu items offered good value and there were items to suit most budgets.

Overall the food was average at best. We ordered an appetizer, sushi, sashimi, and an entree to start. When the edame arrived it was cold and needed to be replaced. Shortly after the sushi and sashimi arrived followed by the replaced edame. I asked the waiter for fresh wasabi and wasn’t informed the tasteless “fresh” wasabi would be an additional charge of $25 for essentially a water down version of the paste. Never would I have expected it was so expensive for something that wasn’t special at all. Wow! After patiently waiting over an hour and 15 mins we jokingly had to ask the waiter if they were catching our octopus as our entree still had not arrived. It wasn’t until we caught the wine/drink host and informed him that we missing the food that an action was taken. In the meantime we order an additional appetizer and sushi roll. This time around again, the sushi arrived and appetizer arrived still before the octopus. When the bill came, I was amazed no one offered any comp or removal for the wait and issues experienced. I would not recommend this place.

Not at all what I expected. The front desk has a significant challenge seating guests even though the restaurant is half empty. The restaurant is semi-industrial, if that kind of thing appeals to you. The lighting is poor. There is club music playing throughout, which can make talk a challenge. Trying to rip-off Tao, and not succeeding. The food is bland and uninspired. I really don’t know where the people who gave this place significant stars ate - certainly not here. Maybe they should get out more. The rolls are small and I have had better tasting at my local takeout. I had the octopus, and it was so tough and rubbery that you could bounce it if you tried. The wait staff was not helpful at all when we asked for suggestions. They even forgot to serve one of our plates. We just said forget it, and asked for the check. I say just skip this place. It’s all hype and no delivery. It probably won’t last in a place like Vegas, where people come to be wowed. The only wow you will get is when you get your bill - wow! Not worth it

My wife and I visited Wakuda recently and had an absolutely amazing experience. The food, service, and atmosphere were outstanding. We tried numerous dishes and all were excellent. One of our new favorites in Las Vegas! If the weather permits I’d recommend reserving a table on the patio overlooking The Strip.

This is probably the best food and restaurant if you like japanese and even if you dont food for all tastes, trendy restaurant well thought out.The food was amazing unfortunately let down by bad service-we ordered, wait wait wait-nobody came for the wine order we ordered a bottle wait wait wait-lots of people floating around, asking if wecwanted more water ,so we kept saying we are waiting for our wineano communication with the servers at all! When we eventually started to get our food around 45minutes bearing in mind its supposed to be 1.5 hour turn out-my starters arrived,my tataki arrived, but then after a long time one of husbands main course arrived! He ordered yakatori for his starter! we sent main course back was given a lecture by the waiter saying japanese food came this way it wasnt a french restaurant-as if we hadnt been to some of the best restaurants in Japan! They then brought 3 other dishes which we hadnt ordered. When they got the food correct it was excellent, the iberico pork super,The costeleta great, and my lobster tempura to die for, followed by a super chocolate souffle.Top marks food, but you wouldnt go for an experience as its all about the package eating out.Shame

Wakuda….more like Wa-Couldn’t-I have picked a better restaurant. If you are looking for a great hospitality experience with amazing food and a fun atmosphere, this place aint it. It is, however, a great place to go to be treated poorly, stuffed into a crappy bar and have liquid dumped on you. I was born and raised in Las Vegas and am very familiar with what excellent customer service looks like and what great food tastes like. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary before going to watch U2 at the Sphere and were very excited about the evening. We bought our U2 tickets well in advance and similarly made a reservation at Wack-ooda well in advance to ensure we would be able to have a nice, relaxed dining experience before having our minds blown by U2 and everything that the Sphere has to offer. We arrived 5 minutes prior to our reservation and were welcomed nicely with reference to our anniversary but were told it would be a little bit before our table was ready. This was a bit surprising considering it was not much after the restaurant had opened for the evening, but they again referenced our anniversary and told us it wouldn’t be very long. Thirty minutes later we were told they could seat us and as we headed toward the dining room the waitress thanked us again for joining them for our anniversary before making a hard left into the bar/lounge area where there are lounge style seating areas with low chairs and small tables looking at a bar. When we asked to be seated in the dining room, the hostess said she needed to ask if that was okay. She came back and told us that the dining room was set up for larger groups and that the hostess said the only available tables for us would be in the lounge. The waitress became very impatient that we were not ready to order yet and was obviously not happy that we continued trying to be seated in the area we had made a reservation for. We finally decided we were stuck with where we were at and ordered some appetizers and drinks. Apparently, the waitress was not impressed by the volume of our initial order and what little friendliness she had exhibited previously completely left the building. I went into the dining room area after we ordered and observed multiple 2-top and 4-top set ups in the dining room which was roughly half full. So, the claim that the dining room was set up for big parties was a load of garbage. I made it back to our lounge seat and mentioned this to my wife as the waitress reappeared with two glasses and large bottle of water for our little table. She got the glasses on the tiny square of wood okay, but missed with the bottle which flew out of her hands, hit me in the chest and dumped water all over my wife and me. I guess I should have been happy that it wasn’t a carafe of red wine. They were nice enough to move us to another tiny little table tucked farther away in the darkest corner of the lounge. There was no apology and in fact when the waitress came back, she literally slammed the glasses down on the little table and was throwing major stink eye in my direction. I almost felt obligated to apologize to her for being upset that they put us in a crap location, treated us poorly and dumped water all over us. To be fair, I really can’t say anything about their food since after a good dousing and experiencing the industrial sized can of poor customer service, we decided to remove ourselves from their uninviting lounge before our waitress would have to deliver cutlery to our table and avoid the possibility of losing an eye to flying chopsticks. So if you are looking for the polar opposite of what Las Vegas hospitality used to look like, gird up your loins, put on your favorite water resistant clothing and make a reservation for thirty to forty minutes before you want to eat and dial up Wakuda for a fun night of being treated like crap!

Our party of 6 did the upgraded tasting menu, and we all thought it was fabulous! Each course was unique and delicious. The service was excellent as well. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Highly recommend the Yokohama, Penicilin, and silver rocks for drinks. Beet salad, tuna fin salad, scallops. Hot food comes sizzling to the table. We are not desert people but the tempura ice cream is truly an experience of tempura embedded chocolate ice cream that is lit up when served. Perfect for two people to share. The server David took the time to explain the dishes to meet our dietary restrictions with great cocktail suggestions. Beautiful restaurant with great service and attention to detail (is an understatement). Will be back!

The food, service, and ambiance was over the top. A “must try” for a foodie is their 12 course tasting menu (not listed on their menu.) From start to finish, each course was artistically prepared, with subtle flavors for the discriminating palate. Lead wait staff, Nicole, explained each course which enhanced the experience, and her staff was attentive to every detail. Starting with nice selection of signature cocktails, every course was amazing, to name a few: the oysters and lobster appetizers, yuba, nori taco (topped with uni and caviar), A5 wagyu and aburi New Zealand king salmon nigiri, A5 wagyu, miso grilled fish, soba noodles, and 2 spectacular dessert (pink sudachi, and matcha mama choco). All prepared from fresh seasonal ingredients. A memorable experience.

One of the best dining exoeriences Ive ever had! Food was absolutely amazing! Five stars all the way and wil def be back next year!

Wakuda is delicious - I had the Udon noodles with seafood, which was great, and my wife and I shared salmon sushi and tuna sushi, they were also very good. Great cocktails as well.

Our Birthday Celebration Dinner took us to the newly opened Japanese restaurant in Palazzo- Helmed by two-Michelin-starred chef Tetsuya Wakuda. The restaurant didn't disappoint. We didn't do the omikase ($500) but they have a tasting menu available for $300 but your whole table must get. Will need to go back an experience the Omikase- which they have a separate room/bar (8 seats). Our waiter was good. Seems knowledgeable with the menu. He doesn't realize how well travel is my group and knowledgeable with all type of sushi/fish. He was recommending multiple dishes like chicken lollipop and amount we should we order. My group wanted to try as much as possible in the menu since we opted not to do the tasting menu. Started with edamame so that we can review the menu and figure what to order for sharing vs. individual. The edamame-it's no extraordinary but we should have just ordered one. We got the Japanese eggplant - it's has a smoky taste. It was topped with miso sauce. It was good. I know for some people- they might not like it due to the texture. The hamachi carpaccio was real good. The sashimi toast is worth getting especially the tuna. My group wanted some hand rolls- tuna and salmon. I would recommend not getting if you are planning to order more sashimi or nigiri. The futomaki is really big and filling. The rolls were just ok. We really love the Japanese A5 Waygu sushi with fresh wasabi. It totally melts in your mouth. I would advise to take your time eating $25 per piece. But totally worth it. The Aburi New Zealand king salmon with yuzu kosho is amazing. One of our favorites. We ordered a set of salmon, tuna, chutoro, Hokkaido scallops, uni, and salmon belly. Must get the freshly grated wasabi. Our favorite are the chutoro, uni, and scallops- all three were so good. Love love the Hokkaido scallops. Moving on to the grilled part of the menu. We had the Patagonian tooth fish aka miso Chilean sea bass. I was flaky and delicious. Great flavor. Glad we got two of this. The grilled vegetables was ok. We also tried the prime tenderloin. It was cooked perfectly. Moist not dry. Came with grated wasabi and garlic. Also some grilled vegetables. We also tried the tenderloin donburi. Very tasteful and flavorful- perfect for younger kids if you bring one. Oh by the way, restaurant has a policy after 9 pm - must be over 21. If not mistaken , must be seated before 7 pm. We end our meal with the cold buckwheat soba. Amazing dish!!! It came with sweet freshwater shrimp, truffle, and caviar. Since we were celebrating two birthdays- they gave us two desserts compliments of the restaurant. The miso soft serve ice cream with gold foil was delicious. Also love the yuzu creme brûlée. They do have an amazing list of alcohol beverage. Loved that they have Japanese ipa's as well. They made my son a mocktail or gingerbeer with yuzu. We spoke to one of the managers. She was very nice and excited with her job and restaurant. The wait staff is incredible- our water is almost full. Check out the bathroom in the back. Unisex. Great decor. Love the Sumo wrestlers in the center of the restaurant. Love the IG entrance. We are already planning a come back dining and likely will book the omikase in the future visit. I would say it's the best sushi/Japanese restaurant in the Strip. Welcome Wakuda- go get your stars!!!

We visited for Social Hour. Very limited drink and food menu. Food was ok but not as good as it should have been. Lacked flavor. Regular amenities have to be asked for. The server was not friendly and seemed bothered that we were there.

So many good things happening here (outstanding food and service; beautifully designed), but the music was annoying/uninteresting (mostly backbeat drivel - we’re not at a rave!?). It was also so loud that we couldn’t hear ourselves very well. Our daughters (late 20s) agreed (one is a singer in both an alternative folk and a pop music band)This is fixable, so hopefully this can be addressed.

Was really looking forward to this restaurant however it came up short of the hype. Atmosphere and ambience was good as it wasn’t too loud and we were able to have conversations without yelling. Food was good especially the duck and the tuna toast. However the service ruined the dinning experience. Drinks were messed up, food orders were missed and wait staff was not friendly at all.

Wakuda is located in the Palazzo tower of the Venetian Hotel and Casino. Being we were staying at the hotel is seemed a good choice for dinner. We made reservations but still the only open tables were in the bar area. The ambiance was dark and warm with inviting art adorning the wall however the music in the bar was quite loud so conversation was quite difficult. We ordered drinks and our food at the same time. I chose a sake flight which was selected to pair with our food choices and it was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, here is were things started to fall apart. Our second paring came before our first and we ordered the duck and after an extensive amount of time we were informed that the duck was out. One of our course was the Kanpachi Carpaccio and it was quite good. As a Replacement for the duck we ordered the Surf & Turf Flambé and it was quite good. I spoke to the manager and she asked me what they could do to make things right and I told informed her "it was up to her" They did take off one of the courses from the bill however she never circled back around to speak with us and we were just left to figure things out upon receiving the bill. We do not see us returning to dine here during our next stay in town. See you on the trail and please try to remember to treat with dignity and respect, all whom with you come in contact John F

We were expecting really great things from Wakuda. Unfortunately the food did not live up to expectations. The dishes were all very basic and tasteless. We had better sushi at the Wynn Buffet! I will say the staff and decor were amazing though!

The food and experience were great! Vincent was knowledgeable and made great recommendations. The pairing of sparkling sake and wagyu was fabulous. The ambience was fabulous!

Great welcome at our arrival and congratulations about our wedding anniversary Then not so good After quite a long wait in the lounge only one cocktail arrived we asked for the second one and waited waited waited … our table then got ready and still one cocktail ! Table with a nice waitress and finally our second cocktail…! Quite a weird way to celebrate our anniversary The food was good but not as good as chef Matsuhisa (Nobu, Aspen or Paris…) No acknowledge of our anniversary during the meal that’s not a good point especially when you booked and are asked the raison of your booking !

Great experience- service was great - food was amazing! Although pricey (it’s Vegas…) well worth it! Our friends told us we had to get the snapper appetizer so we did & it was so delicious We had a bunch of other items and then shared the beef tenderloin entree - which was really delicious!

Was so excited eat at Wakuda's Social Hour after passing by earlier this year during our last stay at the Venetian. Made a reservation online several months ago, but called and changed it to an earlier time on the same day that we actually visited Wakuda. No issues with our Friday Lounge reservation at 5:15. Seated right away. Lounge was fairly empty when we arrived. Given the new Social Hour menu. So new that the website may have even been updated the same day. Our waiter, Jeromy, was amazing. Ordered the Marinated Japanese Cucumber with a spicy sesame dressing, the salmon nori tacos with caviar, sea bass bites, chicken katsu sliders, miso soup and a beet salad to start. A few minutes later, we were visited at our lounge table by the GM Christopher, they had a big event earlier in the day and so they were not honoring the advertised Social Hour menu. Really? Why didn't they let me know when I called to change my reservation from 5:30 to 5:15 an hour earlier? If that was the case, we would have actually changed our reservation to later to accommodate family who wanted to join us. And all of these Social Hour items, except the chicken katsu sliders are on their regular menu. Did they run out during their big event? Christopher did offer us cocktails (which never happened) and told us that he would take care of us because they should have let us know and not taken our order for the Social Hour in the first place. So instead, we ordered a variety of soup, salads and seafood entrees. The whole fish that we ordered became the seabass miso (which was delicious, but not what we ordered). At first, I thought that he had sent out a little bonus lagniappe, but I was mistaken. The beautiful beet salad was served at the end of the meal after we finished our entrees. The chef did send out a single serving of his miso ice cream as a consolation gift for our family (but I also read that this is a frequent gift at the end of a meal) and Christopher gave us a $39 discount on our meal, but I was surprised that Christopher did not follow through on what he offered us, such as the free drinks for our family (which would have exceeded $39 at an average $21/22 a pop) and taking care of us. It is a shame, because the restaurant is beautiful and what we ate was delicious. The service was amazing, but I felt quite put off by the GM. Would I go back? With locations in Vegas and Singapore, maybe. For dinner, I would book the main dining room over the lounge. The open kitchen views are so nice. But I would also recommend that the restaurant let all of its employees know if a menu is not available if a guest calls to confirm especially if it is on a holiday weekend (which is what I did to confirm our lunch reservations with estiatorio Milos). Or just post it on their website. That is what STK does on their Happy Hour menu.

Cocktails as a rule… if you don’t drink. Or are unfamiliar with a cocktail don’t recommend one. don’t put poorly cut fruit that looks like it was cut days ago on top of a premium drink. Poorly explained specials. Rushed to order, 6 different food runners… every single dish under seasoned. When the pickled ginger on the side of your sushi is the best thing about the dish. You get where this is going. The menu reads well… executed poorly. Super in personal, fake greetings/fake goodbyes. It’s a one and done never to return. Kinda like Spirit Airlines. Wrote this, because I’d like to save someone from the mistake we made. Koi, Nobu, Morimoto… give them your $$$. They deserve it.

Reservation was late. The place is very loud I was hoping for a more serene Japanese experience. Waitress started out hovering and then dropped us halfway through a 500 meal…so we waited and waited to see desert menu and it never arrived. Sushi and sashimi were good but I’m not feeling high quality akin to japan… can’t recommend

Sushi was not good at a $600 meal fish was warm. Do yourself a favor go to Nobu or Tao or a grocery store? Just not a good place to go.

Always delightful Kimi as the hostess and Toshi the waiter. Great recommendations. Superb choices. Always are 1st choice for sushi and sake. MKanio and Juanita.

Unbelievably horrible service! The service was slow and impersonal. Pricing for Waygu misleading. Menu states $45 - 3 oz is minimum but it was $45 per ounce with a minimum of 3 ounces to order or $135. My total bill was $745. That is crazy!!!!! It is extortion after the fact.

I had the salmon and it was delicious. I should have asked for a fork, they only had chop stick at the table. Wife had the California sushi and vegetable roll. We also had scallops with mushrooms it was very good. I don’t typically like mushrooms but these had a good flavor.

Coming from Australia and knowing that Tetsuya Wakuda had relocated from Sydney to Las Vegas our expectations were very high and they were mostly met. The dining room is sensational and creates a real atmosphere fitting for the food. The food menu is extensive but being honest with ourselves the food is well overpriced for the size and the drinks menu was a little limited but ok. The quality of the food was excellent. Service was adequate but could have been a little more helpful when coming to selecting off the menu and ensuring that not only did we have enough but also that we had the right mix....make no mistake it is a great restaurant and if the prices were more in line with the sizing then it would be 5 star but it cost a lot of money to put together a full dining experience.

I always try to eat somewhere different in Vegas, with so much choice, I rarely going back to the same restaurant twice. I was dining solo on the first night of a 4-day trip and put down my name to get a seat at the bar with an expected 30–60-minute wait. Upon my return 30 minutes later, I was given a seat in the lounge which had multiple free tables and my server was Natosha (I did wonder whether a lounge seat would have been available 30 minutes ago!). I looked at the menus, but then waited 20 minutes for my server to come back and take my drinks and food order. My $45 glass of wine arrived 10 minutes later and my table water never arrived, but I did get a $10 charge for Pellegrino on my bill at the end. Each course took more time than you would expect, with the wrong type of uni being served (Japanese vs Californian), and then a second order of uni arriving by mistake later. $56 as market price for 2 slices of otoro sashimi! I understand that very fatty tuna is an expensive cut, and you’re in Vegas, but that did hit pretty hard when the bill came. I was then told by Natosha that they didn’t expect payment by Apple Pay, but she would try it anyway. Obviously, it was processed without a problem, maybe she doesn’t get a tip if it’s paid that way! Overall, the food was above average, but value for money was poor. Service was incredibly disappointing when the bar for great service is so high in Las Vegas. Go to Sushi Samba instead!

Hostess was incompetent! She failed to put name into system for table. After waiting over 40 minutes she came and asked, “what’s your name again”? Finally sat us at bar. I went up to speak to her regarding my disappointment of being seated at bar. There were multiple reservations available on your site with 8:15, 8:30 for “lounge” I could’ve booked but instead trusted her to do her job and get us a table (and would’ve had dinner much earlier!). In my conversation with her she doubled down and said bar was full and seats just opened when she sat us which I know to be false!! She could’ve owned her mistake and apologized…

I came here with some friends when we were in town for a conference. The food and service were terrific. We ordered several dishes to share including seared tuna, tempura vegetables, crispy rice with tuna, and prawns. Expect prices commensurate with strip celebrity chef restaurants.

3 Hosts that don't do the service of one, slow service, not friendly staff, what made up for it was the dessert!!!

We booked dinner for the night before we got married in advance of our trip. The day of, we looked at reviews and almost cancelled as we wanted a memorable night. Both me and my (now) husband were SO glad that we didn't cancel!. We were met warmly and were told about the food by our server. The food was sooooooo good, every plate we had was tasty, well presented and had some interesting flavours. Our night was lovely and we may even consider going back while we are here. We would recommend the tempura vegetables, the wagyu gyozas and the woodfired chicken (the crispy spinach is INCREDIBLE!).

I partook in a custom designed dinner for my host at Wakuda at the Venetian in LV last week. From the moment I entered their modern but understated restaurant to the moment I left 3 1/2 hours later I was impressed. Upon entering the outside noisy and tobacco laden casino environment is left behind. Tall ceilings, comfortable seating, especially in the spacious private dining area we met in also had great acoustics. Impeccable service with beautifully prepared dishes were accompanied by the most unusual and delicious sake (chosen from barrel in Japan before bottling by the Sake Samurai Wakuda owner) with glasses always replenished discretely.

It's not worth the money, the service and taste of the food are not nearly as good as you would expect for these prices. We know how expensive it is in Las Vegas. But for comparison, we also went to Sushi Samba and it was much better and a bit cheaper. The atmosphere is very nice. The style is very modern but very well done.

This was a party of six on an expense account. The quality at Wakuda is reflected in the prices. Those of us with our favorite neighborhood sushi restaurant will go into immediate sticker shock! But wait, there's a reason why one piece of maguro nigiri costs $9 00; everything is just elevated that much more. Particular standouts for the evening were the bluefin chutoro; like butter. And the uni. I've never been an uni fan, now I'm addicted! So light, delicate and delicious! Don't forget the fresh wasabi with your meal, it's really worth it! Aside from fish, the lamb chops are amazing! And be sure to have the sommelier suggest the perfect sake. Another revelation for me is just how good quality sake is. Enjoy, preferably in someone else's tab!

From the moment you walk in, you are treated very well! All staff are amazing! Welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable and just go all out to make your dining experience the best! The staff members are not the only thing amazing! The food is delicious! Kanpachi carp, salmon carpaccio, siakyo yaki, lobster and more! Try as much as you can! Fresh, flavorful and just a delight for your pallet. The cocktail and wine menu is extensive. If you cannot decide, a staff member can point you in the right direction! You cannot make a bad drink or food choice! Delicious and just a great experience all around! You and your tastebuds will be spoiled by eating at Wakuda! Check it out! You will not regret it!

Go anywhere else. Entirely too expensive for what it is. I can’t say we enjoyed a single thing we had except maybe the miso soup that was actually good. We all left starving and disappointed.

Wakuda was not the experience I was hoping for. I went to the bar just before 5pm while we waited for our table and the bartenders didn't even acknowledge me or the other two ladies who were waiting for drinks as well. It was not even busy or full. One bartender just chatted with guests at the end, looked at me a couple times without acknowledging my desire to order and kept talking while the other bartender turned his back to the bar guests and talked with the barback. I motioned a couple times to get his attention and he just looked at me then kept talking to his co-worker. He even seemed reluctant and annoyed that the other two women asked for drinks. I left after about 7 minutes. We were sat on the patio, which has zero charm or style. They hostess was very nice and offered to sit us inside, since it was very breezy. After seating everyone else, we were finally sat about 25 min after our reservation and were told we had to be finished with our dining experience in exactly 90 minutes. I understand time lines and turning tables but it was very rude and disrespectful to our dining experience. Our server was great, knowledgeable and friendly. We eat sushi all the time...ALL THE TIME...and this was honestly just fine but not what I expected by two Michelin star chefs. For $600+ it was just ok and we were still very hungry. Our final roll took a VERY long time, even though we ordered it along with everything else and it was really disappointing in flavor. Since we were past our 90 minutes we felt pressured to leave asap. No time for a relaxing dessert or post meal cocktail. Not impressed at all. We ended up going to the Wynn for another meal after this one and had a lovely experience.

We sat at the sushi bar and had the 11 course tasting menu. First course was edamame. Just your plain, every sushi restaurant you ever been to, edamame. Of the 11 courses presented, I would say that two, which were single pieces of nigiri, rose to the level of wow, that’s amazingly good and different than what I could get someplace else. Most of it had to do with the quality of the fish. Yes, it was well prepared with lovely seasonings, but it was the fish itself that really made the dishes stand out. I’ve noted many reviews that said that Service was subpar. That was not our experience. We did get a Michelin star level of service in our dining experience. That said, most of the dishes presented, were fairly plebeian, things that you might see at any other sushi, restaurant, and not that much better than what you would see at a much lower cost sushi restaurant. I would say it does qualify as a fine dining experience but the price to value just really isn’t there maybe that’s true for all of Las Vegas but coming from San Francisco Bay Area I can get better than what I was served for so much less. The alcohol menu was stupidly expensive I had a 500 mL bottle of sake that was $125. It was fine but at that price I’m looking for more than fine

WAKUDA is conveniently located inside the Venetian, which is exactly why we chose it for dinner, super easy and seamless when staying on property. The decor is interesting and stylish, and the overall vibe is lively, especially around the bar area. We sat at the bar and had Vincent as our server, who did an excellent job from start to finish. His recommendations were great. We enjoyed everything he suggested. A standout for us was the Kamoizumi Summer Snow Nigori- we paired it with all of our dishes and it complemented everything beautifully. Smooth, slightly sweet, and very easy to drink. The amberjack carpaccio was also really good, fresh, well-balanced, and one of our favorite bites of the night. Overall, a wonderful choice for a fun, energetic dinner with great service and thoughtful drink pairings, especially if you’re already at the Venetian.
Save up and just do it!
This place is insanely expensive, but it’s truly a dining experience. We had drinks, lots of wonderful Japanese delicacies for about $800.
