Had a hearty breakfast made to order today- Texas toast egg sandwich with American cheese and a side of hash browns. Nice chef and very easy on the budget. Coffee was ok big tank stuff. Pleasant dining room to hang out in or opt for the outside seating. Not on this hot humid Houston day! Recommend for folks hanging out at MD Anderson for the day.

Especially enjoyed the fresh salad bar with a wide variety of healthy options. I am on a food sensitivity plan, and they had plenty of excellent choices. Convenient to be in the Mays Bldg for MDA appointments.

Waterfall cafe is the main dining area for the MD Anderson Cancer Center's Mays Clinic. Located on the second floor of the building, next to a modern sculpture, the place opens early and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakfast, there is a cereal buffet along with a variety of bakery goods. A selection of milks and yogurts as well as coffee complements your continental breakfast. for those looking for something more substantial, the grill will prepare eggs in a variety of ways and usually has several hot breakfast specialties. For lunch and dinner, you have a choice of sandwiches, salads and fruit plates and the hot meal area is divided into several sections: one section focuses on pizza, a second prepares burgers, fries and other warm sandwiches; a third section focuses on a daily hot meal, complete with a meat dish, roasted or steamed vegetables and one or two carbs (rice, potatoes or pasta). On Fridays Southern Fried Chicken is the specialty and it is really good! A final section prepares a special meal for the day: Lasagna, fajitas, quesadillas, etc., depending on the day and the season. By and large, all food offerings are prepared fresh, are tasty and of good quality. This is not your hospital food from years ago. There are indoor and outdoor tables on the balcony. This latter feature is very nice, on cooler days.

great breakfast and lunch options. they have more yogurt choices than most hospital restaurants on this campus

I don't know where the other reviewers ate. Had breakfast here. Stayed at the nearby Marriott. Had to be at the hospital early. Breakfast at this place cost more than the Marriott but made up for that by being the worst institutional meal I've had. Just appalling.

Terrible experience! Terrible food! The Chinese food boxes seem to have old food and that lack taste totally. After trying the Chinese food here I have decided to get a salmon burger. This was not any better except the fresh lettuce and fresh tomatoes that looked fresh although with not much taste. The salmon did not look like salmon nor tasted like salmon. Overall the food seems like itβs made out of artificial or synthetic stuff. So sad! We could not eat this food in this MD Anderson cafeteria! And we paid 30 bucks for it! Why is it so hard to make some tasty food if you bother to make food at all?

While in MD Anderson, if needing to grab a bite to eat, stop in to the Waterfall Cafe. TIP: If the weather is good, enjoy the sunshine on the outside patio.

I was in a hurry and just ordered a couple of veggies β broccoli rice cheddar casserole and red potato salad. The potato salad was fairly good but the broccoli rice casserole was really, really bad. Over-cooked tasteless mush. It was a busy place and the lines did move quickly.

As far as I recall it was courteous like all of us restaurant s in hoslital. Easy access from carts in skyway before biopsies of whatever procedure one has. Close enough to get to while waiting for loved one!

Fabulous, nutritious, quick food for the cancer patient on the run between appointments. Quite picturesque. The low cost was another highlight.

Being a patient at MD Anderson Cancer Center, I may have a lot of appointments in a day. I can walk over to the Waterfall Cafe and order healthy foods as well as burger, pizza and other ethnic themed selections. You can sit inside or out on the patio. There is a salad bar and made to order food section. There are two different hot bars as well. Starbucks coffee, desserts snacks etc... go and enjoy

There is something for everyone and the service is fast. Food is typical out of the package and served. The pizza is made there and there is a good vegetable bowl dish.

Best memories of my life. I worked in the cafeteria back in 1988 I was eighteen years old. My father Alvin Hoaks retired from there he was a building manager on night road where the sub station was for the MD Police π unfortunately my father took his own life back in May 20,2016. My favorite memories was riding too work at 5:am with my father down north brazwood ππ

Good for breakfast and lunch. Begins closing about 2:00PM and is closed by 2:30Pm. Salad bar nicely dong. Hot food varieties and grill good breakfast or lunch. Nice dining area.

Everything was prepackaged when we were there, after breakfast, before lunch. Premade sandwiches weren't great but we didn't expect much. We had been up since 5 am w/o breakfast so we just needed something but it was 11 am so no breakfast and lunch wasnt served yet.

We have come here for over 5 years and are seldom disappointed. Not only is the food good but personable employees help make the visit special.

The food is reasonably priced buffet style. Make your choices and carry your tray to the checkout registers. If you don't get a receipt and you immediately speak up there is a $5 coupon good towards your next meal.

We had a chance to stop by this Cafe and liked it. Food is good and have not been disappointed. Staff is friendly and fast. You get a variety of menu items and it is not cluttered. Would return to eat there. Usually busy by lunchtime.

The food was delicious, the service was fantastic and all around amazing cafe. Very quaint atmosphere, and very relaxing and enjoyable experience

Food is always great; wonderful job, MD Anderson. You really know how to make a patient's family feel welcome.

This cafe offers the usual hospital type food. If you have a special diet you are out of luck. I have to eat soft non-acidic foods and found little I could eat.

The staff and the coffee are what make this place awesome! The line may look long but don't worry, they get you in and out in no time! They offer all kinds of snacks if you don't want to go to the main restaurant. Enjoy!

Located in a modern building with high ceilings and plenty of natural light, the Waterfall cafe offers indoor and outdoor tables. Multiple food stations offer variety: a grill station will prepare burgers, and the usual sides. There is a pizza station, and a station for prepared foods: roast chicken, steamed vegetables, soups, with various meats being offered on different days of the week. There is a Mexican food station, with breakfast tacos in the mornings. The central salad island offers whatever you need to make a fresh salad to your liking. There are separate areas for juices, milk and cold beverages, as well as coffee and desserts.

The Angus burgers there are awesome! I highly recommend eating one that is if you like burgers. My sister had two burgers lol!!

I stopped in for lunch today. Being almost 1:00 pm, it was past the usual hospital lunch hour, so much of the food had been picked over. However, the rotisserie chicken was still good, and the sides of German potato salad and baked beans were also tasty. The entire meal cost under $9:00 and was a whole lot tastier and healthier than going to a fast-food outlet.

Great place to grab a quick meal or a snack. The atmosphere is very nice, and the food is good and very inexpensive.

Very much a fast bite, but even so there was an appalling use of plastic and styrofoam that is inexcusable these days, not to mention terrible to eat off and with. I guess the food was ok.
GREAT CARE!! Been here dozens of times for leukemia treatment. Great care and great food. See
Always great food and very good price for this area. I eat here every time I come here for care. Great windowed to look out alsom
