Exactly what you pay for

By Q M |

Definitely recommend for people who don’t want to spend super high end prices, but are willing to spend more than a typical restaurant for an exceptionally good meal.

Not too bad

By Teresa B |

Not too bad, had the ribs and brisket. Good flavor , chill atmosphere. Great Brussels sprouts . I would’ve liked some potato salad to go with my BBQ.. but not a bad experience

Well

By BBlkburn |

Got sat at a dirty table and the server took 15 minutes to get to me. But honestly, the guy was slammed, so I was okay with that. Food (meatloaf) was okay, nothing exciting out of the ordinary. Server made up for the food. If you are okay with okay, this is your place :)

Fabulous food

We enjoyed the Weber Grill experience. The Food was delicious and the atmosphere was unique. The service is as also great. Overall great experience .

It’s worth the price!

With every visit to Chicago came the wish to have dinner at the Weber Grill. We’ve never been able to because we never had reservations for some reason. This trip, I made do get that reservation and I so happy that I did! From walking in the door and the aroma coming from the kitchen permeating the restaurant, to walking past the open-kitchen and watching the chefs work their magic, I knew it was worth the wait! Our waiter, while running past our table carrying someone’s hot dinner, paused long enough to tell us his name was Veselin and he would return quickly. He was back as promised and made our entire evening. From recommending starters to sides, he was there for us! He brought our drinks first and, without rushing us, asked if we were ready to order, which we were. He let us know that there was still Prime Rib available and, if we wanted a veg, there was enough in one order to share. His smile, his laugh and his personality made me want to stay the entire evening! My sister had the Prime Rib and garlic mashed potatoes (no garlic taste) while I had the Filet with the potatoes and sautéed garlic spinach (again, no garlic taste). Food was brought to us quickly and, being the attentive waiter that he was, checked in with us often. When it was time to leave, my only disappointment was the 18% grat automatically added to the bill. Why is that disappointing? In my experience, with a great waiter, I typically tip more than 18% . When it’s automatic, I usually think “OK” and leave it at the 18% which only cheats out the waiter. BUT Veselin was go amazing, I gave him an additional tip….which he graciously accepted. On my next Chicago trip, I’ll make sure to make reservations so I can try the fantastic looking meatloaf!! 😁

Love grilling but don't want to grill? Stop by...

By Lester Ojeda |

If you are in Chicago, you have to try this place at least once. The food is great, the meat is top quality, and the service is great. The Cowboy Steak will easily feed 2 and leave some to take home, but the Rib Eye and the Porterhouse are amazing as well. All meat is cooked in Weber kettle grill (what else?) which you'll see as soon as you walk in. Drinks are great too, I strongly recommend the mules if that's your poison. Service is great, and considering the amount of people there's always in this place, that is truly noteworthy. Heck, even the bread is good.

Excellent ribeye steak

By Aart Imran Issa-Epe |

Lively restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. Our waiter suggested some recommendations for drinks and food. Locally brewed beer is available. Ribeye steaks were recommended, served medium rare. And it’s understandable why, the meat was really delightful, and 16 ounce was more than enough.

Great service and great atmosphere , for sure will be back .

By DayTrip11402772158 |

My date and I had never ate at A Weber Grill, we was staying right next to it and decided to try it out .I am a steak eater my friend usually not. I had the ribeye and she had the steak sampler .I had a old fashion drink and she had a whisky sour. There was nothing short greatness in everything we had .The service second to none and the food and drinks even better,

Excellent food

By Tina Tomas |

One of the best places in Chicago for meat lovers. They offer large variety of meat dishes prepared to perfection. The service was great and the atmosphere was nice. Great work

It’s fun. It’s fine

By nachomatt |

We went with a group of 10 in town for meetings. It’s a very fun setting and really caters to groups. That’s the good. More good- the options were plenty. The Brussels sprouts were phenomenal And all their bread was great. The less great- it is not fast. My pork chop was fine and a little lukewarm. The sides.... I already forgot. So the food was ok but the experience was fun . My group mostly enjoyed it and we had a great time.

Great dinner

By Katie T |

Really nice food and great staff. Pre-booking definitely recommended as this is a busy spot! The food was great, service was fast, and the staff were friendly.

By Karolina Z |

We haven't been to Chicago for a while, so we were super hyped when we finally could enjoy a steak at this fantastic restaurant again. Had our first date here, now happily married and enjoying another steak night in Chicago seven years later. Fantastic night, thanks for the staff for making this night that special.

Great waiter and great food

By Helle F |

Julio is an excellent waiter and did an excellent service. Great choice in wine. Great meat and did a lot to consider my gluten and lactose allergy.

Time for this grill to be overhauled !!

By FrickeNomads |

I was disappointed with this location primarily when you think steak and Chicago you come up the a classic Chicago Steakhouse. Clean, excellent service, with a varied menu and really nice ambiance. (Dark wood, dim lights, cozy and relaxing.) Unfortunately in my view I felt rushed, it was bright, not clean at all, especially in the area by the grills, it is well worn, the menu in my option was extremely limited in steak options, and the meal itself was disappointing in that the salad was clearly pre-made and sitting around and the steak was overcooked, the potatoes were slagging, small portion and somewhat cold. This experience cost me over $75 and I've cooked far better steaks on my Weber grill at home complete with fixens for four of us for less than $40. In short I see this as a tourist trap luring in people with a well established name known for grills. In closing I would suggest going to Steak 48, which is not too far away. There you will get a classic Chicago Steakhouse experience.

Attentive service for allergies, great food and experience.

By Ed Geraghty |

We were grandparents traveling with our 2 grandkids, 11 and 8, cross country, and were staying in Chicago for 2 nights. 11 year old has severe tree nut allergies. Our server, Veselin was super attentive to this, checked with the kitchen, and advised us on which items on the menu we could and couldn't have, to avoid cross contamination. Our service was prompt, prices reasonable, and the food was excellent. As everything was so good, we decided to have our 2nd night's meal there also, and requested the same server, Veselin, once more. Repeat performance from the first night, every thing was excellent, and our grandkids had a picture taken with Veselin, to keep as a memento of our experience.

Good!

By Roberto Z |

Good food, good atmosphere, good service. Definitively a place to stay during your visit to the windy city

Bar staff great

By Graeme017 |

After confusion as to why we couldn’t have HH drinks and order main meals in a booth, we went back to the bar. We had very nice sangria and then margaritas from the HH list. The guys know how to make a drink, first class they were. We shared pretzels with beer cheese dip and onion curls. They lost a lot of money by not seating us for full meals but that’s how they roll.

A Great Burger for Lunch

By The_Loup_Garou |

I discovered Weber Grill, in the Hilton Garden Inn at E Grand and N State St, several years ago. It was the proximity, that drew me there, as we were staying only a block away, and it was a bitterly cold February day. I did not want to walk very far. Well, while it was another February, and not ideal for being out and about, I walked from our hotel, several blocks away, but this time, knew what Weber Grill offered - a great hamburger! I arrived a bit after they opened (I have been standing at the door, when they unlocked them, several times), and took my seat, at the bend in the small bar, awaiting my menus, and the wine list, though I could likely have ordered from memory, I wanted to see if there had been changes to the short, but interesting wine list - none, really, which caught my attention. I started with the Cambria Benchbreak Santa Maria Valley Chardonnay, and checked the menu. Yep, the Wisconsin Burger was still on the menu, so it was a done deal - Wisconsin Burger w/ lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles and cheddar cheese (my choice), done medium-rare. I got this on a pretzel bread bun, with the French Fries. I also asked for a side of their BBQ sauce, for both the burger and the fries. I had the onion on the side, and also recalled the structural issue with the tomato slices, from a previous visit. I removed one, and the sandwich became much easier to manage, and to eat. Grilled on the Weber kettle grills, just behind the bar, in an open kitchen, the burger was excellent, with both a hint of charcoal, and a lot of smoke - just perfect, with the right amount of char on the outside, and moist and juicy, on the inside! Since I had gone through the Cambria Chard, I added the Seqhesio Anglea’s Table Sonoma County Zinfandel (for the burger mainly), and a glass of the Sonoma-Loeb Sangiacomo Vineyard Carneros Chardonnay, which I always enjoy. While relatively short on the B-T-G list, the wine list features some wines, that I would not typify as “the usual suspects.” It also has some nice selections to compliment their grilled beef dishes, and their hamburger certainly fell into that category. As always, the service was very good, and even when much of the restaurant filled up with the lunch crowd. The Weber grills behind me were humming with orders, but my bartender/server was always there, when I needed anything. This was a great lunch, on a great burger, in a nice, comfortable setting, and well-worth the cold walk from E Wacker Drive. I can safely say that I will be back!

Great steak but service not great

By Sara T |

Dinner at Weber Grill Chicago was overall fair. We didn't have a reservation for a Monday evening and our seating up front near door reflected that. Once seated we ordered drinks and Brussels sprouts appetizer (great). We finished off the appetizer before any drinks were served. We had a long discussion at this point on if we should go somewhere else for main meal but decided to wait it out. Our server finally came and took our dinner order. They were out of the steak one person in our party wanted. Overall steaks were very good and the fries were not - went uneaten.

Large Group Dinner

By Curtis W |

Our annual dinner at the Weber Grill during the Mid-winter Dental Meetings in Chicago never disappoints. This year we had 17 people and it was the 11th year in a row we have been doing this. Hector provided great service and we were lucky to get one of the private rooms which made conversation easy. Awesome meal as always!

Great service!

By Heather |

We love Weber grill! We come every year for Valentine’s Day. Our server, Hector was fabulous! He made our experience even better than usual. They were extremely busy but Hector made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant! Our food was great as always!

Fantastic meat

By Dutch-AAA |

With a party of 9 we went to Weber Grill. It as a very good experience. Nice staff, sublime meat (filet mignon 10 oz) with several side dishes. It really recommend this restaurant.

Best Hamburger in Chicago?

By The_Loup_Garou |

Best Hamburger in Chicago? I stumbled upon Weber Grill, on a very cold, snowy day, when we were staying across the street, at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar, many years ago. I asked the Concierge about dining and very close by, due to the weather. He suggested Weber Grill, and it WAS close, but I hesitated. Finally, I braved the elements, skated across East Grand Ave, and the rest is history. I have dined at Weber Grill several times now, and not only when our hotel is close by. In October, I made the trip of about 12 blocks, on a cold, gloomy Autumn day, just for the Weber Grill Hamburger. As usual, I was there shortly after they opened, and before the lunch crowd grew. I assumed a stool at the bend in the bar, and started with a Cambria Chardonnay, from their rather short wine list. There was not much to decide, other than exactly which Burger I wanted, and then the bun. I decided on their Wisconsin Burger, and substituted Cheddar Cheese, plus got a cup of their BBQ sauce, on the side - for both the Burger, and the accompanying French Fries. I had forgotten to ask for the Onions to be held, but that was an easy fix. The Burger arrived, along with a glass of the Seqhesio Zinfandel, and it was great - just as ordered. I opted for the Dark Brioche Bun and the patty was perfectly cooked to a medium-rare. It was smoky, with a great char on the outside, and juicy and flavorful on the inside. The lettuce was crisp and very fresh. If there was a weak link at all, it was the Fries. I thought that they were once a thicker cut. These were good, but I just remembered better. Service was very good, and the time to get my Burger was almost too short. I had planned to sit at the bar, and do a bit of work on the iPad, but I barely had time for that. Now, I have probably only had a few dozen other Burgers in Chicago, on our nearly monthly trips, so cannot honestly say that Weber Grill does the very best - just the best that I have had to date. I consider myself fortunate to have made that icy walk, at -10F, those years ago. Now, it was time for me to walk back to my hotel, on a gloomy, damp Autumn day - but nothing like -10F. I will be back, and want to bring my wife to Weber Grill for dinner, as I have only done lunch there.

Great Location

By Brr4346AD |

Great location in downtown Chicago. I had the cedar plank salmon which was very good. The service was excellent and they have happy hour!!!!

Pleasant but Service to review

By sylvain2308 |

Nice setting in the center of Chicago. Efficient Welcoming, Meat Menu, with delicious starter ribs, and beef, tender and tasty. The real problem and the speed with which the dishes are shipped to you, while the starter is not yet finished. Barely the last bite of Meat, swallowed, we come to present you the bill. Other than that the place is nice and the food more than correct. Caught in the standards for Chicago

Terrible Organization and Service

By Allison T |

The food was good, but that was the only enjoyable thing about experience. Staff did not seem to know how to run a restaurant- people were waiting in line but there was no host of hostess at the stand for more then 10 min. Staff kept walking past the line of people- seemingly busy, but also not really doing much of anything. All the tables we could see were empty but in need of bussing. When we were finally seated, our drink order- coffee, was taken but never brought out. The breakfast buffet was fine, but there were no plates at it, people kept taking things off the prep line- silverware, condiments, because no one was attending to the guests. Only one staff member- Moises, appeared to be trying. And he was trying to help everyone. I’ve never seen anything like this before at a restaurant, especially for breakfast that was primarily buffet.

Mind-bogglingly good!

By Bob S |

The Weber is the in-house restaurant at the Hilton Garden Inn Chicago Downtown/Magnificent Mile and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Our first night, The Boss ordered the steak and garlic mashed potatoes. I had the cedar plank salmon, and we split an order of grilled mushrooms. EVERYTHING WAS FANTASTIC, perfectly prepared, and our server, Hector, was absolutely amazing. (Me: "Diet Cokes, and please keep them coming!" Hector: "How about I start you with two?") For dessert, we barely scratched the surface of a triple chocolate cake with hot fudge sauce and vanilla ice cream with white chocolate chips. All in all, one of the finest meals, start to finish, we've had in a long time!

visiting

By Mick L |

The weber grill is an excellent restaurant. Casual dining with great food. The beef brisket was very tender and delicious. Also their brussel sprouts were great. The service was excellent, very attentive and friendly which made you feel welcome. THe prices at very reasonable.

Lovely evening

By Terry B |

Been here on our last visit to Chicago and enjoyed it then and thoroughly enjoyed it the second time. The service was great with friendly staff who had time for everyone that adds to dining out. Would recommend to add to any visit to the city.

Yummy garlic potatoes

By Becky O |

Great atmosphere and great location. We enjoyed the patio. Our waiter was exceptional. We had the beer can chicken and the Big G burger. My favorite thing was the garlic mash potatoes. 🩷 so creamy and flavorful. The chicken was nice and tender.

Above Average but Pricey as a 65' mid-range TV

By Real Guy |

Weber is an awesome brand, I use the kettle often. Everybody thinks their home cooked food is better than restaurants, I would say with this place that is mainly true. Service was great and efficient with a clean restaurant. Ordered Ribeye, Ribs, Salmon & Steak and fries. Food was 6 out of 10, above average. However, the bill was about $350 and 2 adult drinks. Ultimately overpriced for the taste maybe I'm too much of a regular guy...

Fantastic Steak and Service

By kittystopit |

I was really looking forward to going to a Weber Grill Restaurant as I love my Weber BBQ. I came here twice during my two-week trip to Chicago. Meat was cooked perfectly on both visits. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the Filet Mignon on my first visit and the steak frites on my second. Loved the Filet Mignon :-) Would definitely recommend a visit :-)

Definitely YES

By Katherine H |

Excellent service and food! We especially loved the grilled carrots (I could eat these everyday) and the crabcake. The salmon was also delicious, and our server was professional and friendly. Overall, a great experience.

Andres and Igor, Amazing Servers!

By 21353 |

Food was very good, service is terrific. BUT...... EVERY server addresses tables as "YOU GUYS". Rude, disrespectful and unprofessional to address woman older than your parents as "YOU GUYS!

Mediocre food, service was shamefully bad

By Melanie W |

Still waiting on my salad, waiting on my dessert menu. Food was mediocre. Never again. Was my husbands birthday. Waiter had an off menu wine that was alot higher than he said it would be. He then hid for the duration of the meal. So many great restaurants in this city, don’t screw up and go to this one

First visit

By Smel N. Goot |

Overall very good. Good service...strip steak lean and good flavor. Garlic mashed good. Dinner rolls good. Only below average item was french onion soup..cheese on top not cooked thoroughly. Moderate pricing. Worth a second visit .

Would not know if food is good because didn't provide utensils to eat the food

By MeMK |

In town visiting, staying at hotel, had food delivered to hotel, called to make sure we would get utensils - food arrived without utensils - called back asking about said utensils and they told me i am out of luck. NO customer service here. Let me eat my $150.00 meal like a cave person. Will not patronize here or the new one in my hometown. Food undercooked.

Great waitstaff

By Janet M |

Had breakfast here every morning. All waitstaff were good, but especially Carmen, who made each morning a pleasant way to start your day.

Nice Dinner-Very Good Service

By daveu9 |

Had dinner here outside on Saturday evening with my wife. We asked for and were given a table outside as it was a beautiful evening. First time dining at a Weber Grill. Our server, Terry F. was excellent and very good at his job. My wife had the Filet Mignon and I had the Beer Can Chicken. Both were good, but the garlic mashed were probably better. The chicken was very moist and cooked perfectly. Couldn't recommend the White Sangria as it was just too sweet. Didn't think the prices were out of line considering the location. Might consider dining inside next time as traffic was pretty loud sitting outside.

Austin was a great server.

By PFitzy73 |

I had an amazing meal and very good dining experience at Weber Grill Chicago. I had a spot out on the patio and my server was Austin, he took great care of me and he was very knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. I had the Sesame Steak medallions for my main but also enjoyed a great starter and a good bottle of Tinto Negro Malbec. The next time I visit Chicago from London, England I will be sure to stop by again. Also a big shout out to Rc and the rest of the WG team for making my dining experience exceptional.

My mouth is watering

By jgor77genova |

Classic American steakhouse. Excellent meat, very friendly staff and low prices. Cooking and cooking in the visible super Webers. Highly recommended!

Good Food close to Hotels

By Dean23803 |

The Weber Gill has great food and a nice atmosphere. You can tell it is good as we went at around 7:00 on a Monday night and there were very few table available. It is located in the Hilton Garden Inn and is less than a block from the Embassy Suites on Columbus drive. Two of us had the Smoked Beef Brisket which was tender and had an excellent smokey flavor. It came with baked beans and cold slaw, both of which were very good. The the other person had Chopped Chicken Salad. Besides being very tasty with a nice quantity of chicken, the size was much more than she could eat. If you are in downtown Chicago, it is well worth looking up.

Very good service and super meals

By Bernhard P |

Very good service and super meals. Our waiter was very polite and had time to speak with us. The table was covered with white linen and above a paper. The drinks (local beer and wine) were good. The meal was really, really good.

3 cheers for Jerome

By Jiv S |

Dined at Weber Grill our list evening in Chicago and enjoyed an excellent meal and great service! Jerome was our server and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. He was probably the most attentive server we had during our entire stay. Aside from the great service, our family really enjoyed his personality as well as his sense of humor. With a couple of dietary restrictions, I personally was thankful for his knowledge of the menu as well as how items were cooked. One of the specials was the rainbow trout and it was a great suggestion. The green beans and salad that came with the meal were a great compliment to the fish. Compliments as well to the chef as it was exquisitely cooked. I wasn't super hungry so wasn't feeling the Delmonico or anything heavy like that. Although it felt a little weird dining at a Weber and not ordering a steak, I'm glad Jerome suggested the daily fish special.

Tried and True Plasce to have a GOOD Reasonable Meal!

By William M |

Excellent food...busy restaurant ...you NEED a reservation here.Steak and fries perfect,,,sides of crisp French fries, green beans, mashed potatoes ...were all excellent. Service lightening fast.

Good Times

By samuel t |

I had wonderful time at the Weber Grill . From the moment We walked in the staff was so welcoming . Our waiter Joshua was amazing . Extremely helpful and friendly. Joshua made our experience at the Weber Grill very comfortable. Joshua was very knowledgeable about the menu as well . I highly recommend the Weber Grill for a late night Evening to eat great food !!!

Disappointed

By nigeltaylor11 |

We were expecting great food from this iconic brand. Appetisers of wings and cornbread were good. Big G's BBQ chicken hadn't been anywhere near a BBQ. It was just grilled chicken which was dry and only tasted of the BBQ sauce slathered all over it. Honestly I've had better chicken in KFC! As for the service it sucked. Entrees arrived before appetiser plates were cleared. Sides were not as ordered and the fries arr 10 minutes after the entrees. Give it a miss

Rude host made dining here unenjoyable

By Maria Fernanda D |

The breakfast experience at this restaurant was utterly ruined by the incredibly rude host. She made us feel unwelcome from the moment we walked in, and her dismissive attitude overshadowed the entire meal. We couldn’t ask her anything without receiving a snarky response. It's unacceptable for a place that claims to value its customers. They desperately need to hire a better host. Avoid this place at all costs if you value decent service.

Dinner with my Lions's colleaque's

By Petri L |

Menu was versatile, everyone in our group loved their dinner. Service was friendly, polite and professional. Our group overall opinion was "Great place", actually best one were we had dinner in Chicago. Thank's for stuff to wonderful experience.

Super good burgers

By Ulla N |

We got the best burgers and Ribs. It tasted really good and we were very full. Super service of staff. The price was OK and finally a place where they did not demand 20% in drinks 😊😊.

Xmas eve

By Guardix |

Quality was good but nothing special , to me not really worth the price. Friendly staff, nothing to say about it, but I had very high expectations that too bad have not been met.

Very good

By J M |

Very tasty steaks and very quick service. Everything was very tasty. The ambience is very American but has its own charm.

Great steakhouse experience in downtown Chicago

By blinkentrip |

Do not be discouraging by the branding or the ‚long-sleeved dress shirt‘ sign. This is a great way to grab a generously sized steak dinner in downtown Chicago. Had a NY strip with a seasonal item, smoked brussel sprouts with onions and bell peppers, served with garlic mash. Steak on point and rested, veggies fresh. Staff are wonderful, speedy, This a chill, mid-range steakhouse atmosphere place downtown so totally recommend this at this price point. Good fun.

Webertastic Meal

By Cheryl |

Great appetizer we had the pretzel with mustard and cheese. Our meal was very good. We both ordered the steak and fries. Steaks were slightly overdone but no need to be upset it was so tender and flavorful. The seasoned butter they serve with the steak was a great addition and full of flavor. The fries were good but I think steak fries would have been even better. A small retail area would have been a nice touch. It did seem pricey but worth it.

What would you expect from a Weber grill?

By Taylor B |

At first, I thought the name on the marquee was misleading. Weber, the world's premier manufacturer of charcoal, gas and electric grills, doesn't run a restaurant, too, does it? Yes, it does. Located at 539 North State Street, between Grand and Ohio, in the River North neighborhood, Weber demonstrates that it also is quite capable of taking the best grilling recipes and drawing from upon nearly 70 years of classic grilling to produce steaks, burgers and ribs on a giant Weber Kettle. Open from 11:30 to 10 Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 to 11 on Friday and Saturday, Weber Grill specializes in New York strip steak, filet mignon, shrimp, salmon, ribs, meatloaf, chops and prime rib. But I came for lunch and two burgers caught my eye. I started with Weber's signature warm pretzel served with white cheddar cheese and cheese dip, a bowl of French onion soup and a Caesar salad with aged parmesan and croutons. Now for the big decision. Which burger should I choose, the Classic Burger or the Big G? The Classic Burger features a signature blend of Slagel Farms dry-aged beef with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and onion on a Brioche bun. The Big G is 10 ounces of dry-aged beef, Gruyere cheese, smoked caramelized onions, bone marrow bordelaise sauce and dijon on a sesame Brioche bun. On this occasion, I opted for the Classic Burger. With fries and coleslaw. Weber Grill also has a location in west suburban Lombard.

Great food

By Rochelle Green |

Amazing food and Amazing service. During covid they had tarps up and heaters to keep warm because you had to eat outside. The salmon and ribs were delicious! We had crab cakes and wings for an appetizer. A side of Mac and cheese and mashed Potatoes was so good!! Can't wait to go back!

Superb Service, superb menu

By bookninja |

Four of us had dinner at Weber Grill on State Street. Jennifer was our server and she made the evening beyond our expectations. It is a pleasure to have a professional and helpful server, as you can relax and enjoy the evening. We shared the scrumptious chopped salad (this is HUGE) and all of us had the filets (7 and 9 ounces), garlic mashed potatoes, delicious rolls and great wine choices. The evening was flawless and we enjoyed every moment. Oh and the cookie with ice cream is super delicious as well. With tax & tip, it came to about $296. But every bite was worthy, superseded by Jennifer's attentive, but non-intrusive service.

Excellent food

By Carole S |

We ate very well. Super nice server, fast service. Everything was top thank you. We would be happy to advise him

Stopped for supper here before the bus ride home

By Mary L |

Staff was very friendly and helpful We told them we were in a time crunch to get back to the bus and the service was prompt. The food was very good. The Wisconsin burger served on a prezel bun was awesom. I definitely would recommend the kettle chips.

Try the spiced old-fashioned

By AC001 |

TL;DR excellent combination of old-school charm and good food. Would definitely repeat. ***Ambiance*** This place strikes the right balance between elegance and friendly comfort. They have a long series of booths and we were seated in one of them. The booths are raised one step above the floor level. The seats in the booths are long. Like really long. Think about the backseats of a Cadillac DeVille. For the picky eaters among us, I am talking about the 1967 edition. Tablecloths are real cloth and so are the napkins. They have a open moden kitchen and delicious smell alone will make you hungry. It is refreshing different from a myriad of hyper-modern restaurant who try to disguise their cheap stuff as post-modern evolution. ***Staff*** Both the check-in staff and our server were friendly and courteous. The restaurant was packed and there were people waiting. Although we had reservation, I was fully expecting that we will have to wait for our table. That was not the case, our table was already prepared in advanced and we were ushered immediately to our table. It was very nice to actually see a "reservation" actually working [for a change]. Our sever clearly busy judging by the number of people in the restaurant. But his service to our table, was friendly and un-rushed. He stopped by multiple times during the entire meal to check how we were doing and if we needed anything. ***Drinks*** They have a good selection of on-tap beers and mixed drinks. I particularly liked their spiced old-fashioned. Other people in our group ordered beers and everyone was happy with their drinks. ***Food*** We decided to do a drinks-and-appetizers fare and ended up ordering a bunch of them: beef eggrolls, flatbed pizza, spinach dips, garlic shrimp. All the food came out very good. Fresh and hot. We ended up demolishing all of the food and left very happy. Overall, a wonderful experience. Would definitely repeat.

Ribs post marathon

By Y2CLL |

Ate here to take a break from the pizza (you can have too much of a good thing!) and enjoyed the corn bread to start, ribs, prawns and burgers. Try to book to get a booth, nicer experience than the rest of the seating areas and you get a view of the open kitchen with Weber lid lighting!

Another wonderful dinner with HECTOR

By janecS1001XO |

We had another wonderful holiday meal with Hector at the Weber Grill. I had the Thanksgiving special of smoked turkey with dressing and sweet potatoes. My daughter and my sister-in-law had the prime rib and my brother had the grilled salmon. Everybody was truly satisfied.

Simple amazing

By blossom573 |

Let me start by saying excellent food, excellent service and excellent company. First night in Chicago and we decided to make a reservation and dine here. The service; big thank you to Melinda, she recommended some awesome suggestions and had a contagious smile. Very attentive and excellent service. Thanks for making our experience extremely wonderful. The bread , the entrees and the cheesecake omg. Ok I guess I’m just saying please stop by if you’re nearby.

Second nite out in Chicago

Food was good, staff was nice. If your wanting a back yard flavor to your meal. Ribs were good, green beans were not that great

Dinner

We enjoyed a wonderful dinner with delicious food and great information and service from our server.

Our waiter was nice, the good

By Adrienne |

Our waiter was nice, the good was good, and they observed social distancing. I ordered the patty melt and it was delicious!

Tasty Dish

By asuree3 |

I went to Weber rather early and ate. The food was tasty, but didn’t have me coming back during the course of my stay. It was located in the hotel in which I stayed in. It’s a great diner when you’re really hungry

Nice Comfortable Place to Dine!

By Travelmaint |

This was our first visit to Weber Grill, which was recommended by a family member who lives in the Chicago area. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, so the place wasn't too busy. Our waiter was extremely friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu items. He seemed to "disappear" once in a while, which seemed odd since they weren't that busy. He also left someone's dirty glass on our table when he was called away (also odd). Our food was excellent, and came at a fair price. Overall, we had a nice experience, and would return again.

Just OK.

By Sean S |

Not sure I will be back. We had steak salad and corn bread. Both just ok. Weber beer was fine. Should have tried a burger. Staff was nice.

Light lunch in downtown Chicago

By Ramon Neira |

Very nice choice for a goodand fast lunch. We had the baked onion soup and the crab cake for starters, both well prepared. For main dish we shared the Midwestern BBQ ribs and the tuna poke, very good choices. I liked the environment and the service.

Underwhelming

By TravelingGuyColorado |

I was so excited to visit this restaurant as I had and seen this place featured on tv shows. Further I love charcoal burgers so the bar was high! I ordered the burger with cheese, mushrooms. I thought the burger was good no doubt, but not amazing and rather mid. I did think that the cole slaw was very good.. and they did not have Coke Zero!! Argg anyways we were a party of 4 and it cost $133 for burgers and beer can chicken. The wait staff were excellent!! Probably won’t be back and I will just cook the burgers on my charcoal grill for that authentic taste in the future.

The Weber Grille at the Hilton Garden Inn

The food was excellent from breakfasts & throughout the day, great happy hour, 5⭐️bartenders, Ditmer & Gary ❤️’d it all, would go back!

Great burger

By Lucilla Violetta Sciacqua |

Excellent burger with soft bun and very good chips. Quick service and a welcoming and warm place. Average prices for Chicago.

Hector is the best... We ask for him every time we make a reservation ..

By janecS1001XO |

Myself and 4 of my employees had the most awesome meal with Hector. He gave us his opinion of the specials and everything was spot on.. My salmon special was the best salmon I have had in a long time... { cedar planked salmon on the grill } Grilled almost medium well, not rare at all.. We all has fun and a wonderful evening. Thank you Hector. Also the strawberry dessert was to not be missed. I took 3 ladies to finish it off.

Not as good as the former St Louis location

By joe-chicago-23 |

Our servers were attentive and helpful. The cedar plank salmon is very tasty. One person ordered it with parmesan potatoes instead of vegetables and they were happy to accommodate. The bartender was able to modify one of the standard cocktails to suit my taste. Before it closed suddenly during the pandemic, the St Louis location was one of our favorite restaurants in that area. I was trying to resolve my Grill Club rewards program status which seems to have disappeared, at the Chicago location but was unsuccessful in the time I was there. We did get a free appetizer for being a member, and I appreciated that. Perhaps the response to my review can resolve the missing status

Excellent food and service!

By Daddavisfive |

Very nice restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere. The food was excellent. Everything cooked to perfection. The service was out of this world! Our server went above and beyond to ensure that our party got great service, and food. A great place to go with friends, family, or for business.

Best burger ever!

By Queen Bee007 |

Fancied a burger whilst staying in Chicago and came across this place. Prices were reasonable. We were given a lovely welcome by our waiter (sorry we didn’t get his name). The complimentary bread was delicious as were the 2 butters. I had the Big G burger which I honestly think is the best burger I have ever had - I keep thinking about it! Service was efficient and fun. We would definitely go back if we lived in the city. x

My daughter has diary allergy and they made sure food was not contaminated. We felt so welcome. The food was awesome.

By Ilias O |

The food was so good! My daughter has diary allergy and they made sure her plate was delicious with no contamination! We will definitely come back.

Grill Club is working again

By joe-chicago-23 |

In our last visit here, their system did not recognize my Grill Club membership so I was happy to see that problem fixed. It's great starting off with the requested pretzel rolls and flavored butter. The Caesar salad was fine. We ordered some new entrees this time. One was the prime rib, which was cooked medium rare and was very soft and tasty. The other was the sesame beef medallions. Not only were these very enjoyable but the grilled vegetables that came with it were delicious. We had very attentive service from two servers.

Excellent!

By Mike K |

Great food, great service. I had the meat loaf (outstanding), others in our group had hamburgers, and salad. All food was excellent. We also experienced excellent service in an establishment that understands how to protect against Covid-19. Very good experience Highly recommend. BTW...the garlic mashed potatoes are the best.

Great Meal!

By PrMichaelM |

Met our college son downtown at the restaurant he and I visited on his 10 year-old Father/Son trip. Great meal. I enjoyed the prime rib, he had a burger and mom, the medallions. She loved the skewered vegetables that came with her entree. The chocolate cake and banana pudding were outstanding. Our server, Joshua, was a blast!

Great BBQ experience

By Bingjumper |

Attracted to the Weber grill experience as we have a Weber BBQ at home, and was hoping to get some inspiration. This was a very busy place, we booked on line but still had to wait 15mins for a table. Other people arriving were told it would be upto an hour wait. But while you wait you can see the Webers in action. The place is a little dated, but has 2 big rooms and booths situated along side the grills. Service was initially a little slow, but picked up once the rush had gone. Food was very good, we had the brisket and salmon on the board. Highly recommend this experience - but book !!

Just awful! Overpriced and terrible quality.

By ayersa |

We came here based on the family friendly steakhouse reviews, however I would have rather taken my family to shake shack. The cocktails were poor. The food was below average. I was over charged (for a coffee I didn’t order and for a mixup on two kids meals and two martinis that I didn’t request). I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND you save your money and either splurge and go to Joe’s, or go have pizza somewhere instead. I will never come here again and tell everyone I know about our bad experience.

Hit and Miss

By Sunflower365 |

We were seated promptly at our reservation time. It was a loud environment that made it a bit difficult to carry on a conversation. Server was friendly and efficient. Food was hit and miss. I was disappointed in my steak - ordered medium well but it was medium, or worse, medium rare. Very red inside (versus ‘a bit of pink’) and not even warm. I do not care for steak that way at all, but didn’t bother to send it back. I figured that would taboo at a higher end steakhouse such as Weber. Cedar plank salmon was good.

Nice Service & Menu

By J E |

I’ve been to the Schaumburg location a few times over the years, but never to this one, so when in the area we came in for a large business dinner. Our server, Hector was very attentive and helpful… he did a very nice job keeping an eye on the table and bringing us what we needed! The menu is loaded with so many delicious-sounding items to choose from! The only issue is execution needs some work. The line-caught halibut they had on special was overcooked when we got it, so it was dry and not as flavorful as it should have been. The jerk chicken thighs (als on special) were dry and overcooked as well, not much flavor from them. Their side salad to start with had warm, partially wilted, definitely not crispy/cool lettuce, which made it not very appealing and their homemade Thousand Island dressing was bland. Some good things were their mac & cheese and mashed potato sides – they were both excellent! Their street corn appetizer (on special) was fresh and very tasty and their chicken wings were excellent. Banana pudding also came out quite nice. Overall, for the low prices they charge and the decent service they provided, I’m giving them 4 stars, even though there were issues with the entrées. I’d definitely return, but I would just talk to them about expectations prior to ordering and make sure we don’t have a repeat of over-cooked items. Definitely worth stopping in when in the area.

Mmm grilled meat.

By NikaNumber1 |

What better items to eat here then something off the grill. A barbecue chicken hair is always a good one to go if you're not a red meat eater, like me. My friends all ordered either Filet or ribeyes. I got a salad too of course to balance out the meat. This was only the second time eating at a Weber grill restaurant, why not a restaurant when they are renowned for their grills. Came here for NYE and had a nice big hearty meal before a long night out on the town.

A Bit Disappointed With the Food

By AeronauticalEngineer |

I have to admit that we were a bit disappointed with the food. We were really expecting that smoky "Grill" flavor in the chicken we ordered and it didnt have that. May be steak would have been a better option, but i'll never know. The pretzel rolls were good. The service was great. They do have free wifi for ya'll with kids that just cant keep off their screens. Parking is around the corner from the restaurant and yes they do validate for parking which saves you a little bit of money. Overall ok restaurant. Enjoy!

Awesome Service

By Kimberly G |

The last time I ate here (years ago) the experience was average. This time it was GREAT although I had my doubts starting off. We were seated in a booth near a large group of inebriated people that were talking so loud that we couldn't hear ourselves talk to one another. We asked to be seated at another table and it made a HUGE difference. Our server Veselin was Extraordinary! He was high energy and kept us laughing. He was super attentive and interactive. His suggestions for the various menu selections were spot on. The salmon, ribs, burgers and drinks were really good. I will make a point to dine here again soon and will make a specific request for Veselin.

Good Burger with good fries

By Bruce M |

Good Burger with good fries and good service . Prime burger is very good. Very basic menu but all the items I saw looked good.

Early dinner

By Kimmer |

Excellent food, service, and prices! Anthony was super. Carolina pork chops were on point. Hubby got the BBQ cheddar burger - really good too. We will be back next time we are in Chicago.

A Chicago tradition for us and never disappoints!

By David_P_M1 |

Have reviewed this restaurant a few times. It has become a tradition of ours, on our last day to have lunch here then checkout and head to O'hare before flying back to London. Lunch served from 11am we were there around 1030 the barman very friendly and explained the kitchen would be ready at 11. He invited us to have a drink at the bar (1030am? its 430pm UK so not a problem!). We had a glass of wine he organised our table and escorted us. A good selection on the menu I had Ceveche style prawn cocktail - nice and spicy, partner had crab cake again very good. Mains were BBQ 1/2 chicken and partner had beer can chicken again very good. Service good and we were very relieved the quality and standard as good as ever.

Excellent

By Culture288666 |

Hèctor was absolutely amazing, he offered informed suggestions, prompt service, attentive and polite.

Terrific burger

By Mat E |

Great burger to enjoy with a view of the brand's barbecues... crispy fries... don't hesitate... wide choice...

Great service

By António VB |

The service was really great, the story behind the place really fun, the food was just ok. Maybe we where just unlucky, it happens. Anyhow, I enjoyed the night.

Watching a culinary magician at work

By Taylor B |

The fun of dining in a restaurant with an open kitchen is observing the chefs at work, preparing meals for customers. Like the Weber Grill Restaurant, where the chefs char-grill steaks, burgers, ribs, pork chops, shrimp, salmon and other dishes on giant Weber kettles in an exhibition-style kitchen. Located at 539 North State Street, in the Shops at North Bridge, at Grand, in the River North neighborhood, it is open from 4 to 9 on Monday and Tuesday, 11:30 to 9 on Wednesday and Thursday, 11:30 to 10 on Friday, 11:30 to 11 on Saturday and 1 to 9 on Sunday. Ever since my father used to grill chicken and steaks on our outdoor patio when I was growing up, I have enjoyed the taste of charcoal-grilled meat, different from what you get from meat broiled in an oven. My wife and I started with skillet cornbread with molasses butter and grilled Gulf shrimp with garlic infused olive oil and bread crumbs and Hill Country egg rolls with smoked brisket, corn, cheddar, black beans, jalapeno and BBQ mayo. My wife had a BBQ pulled pork sandwich with smoked all-natural pork shoulder, hickory BBQ sauce, onion and bread and butter pickles on a brioche bun. I had a Steakhouse burger, a half-pound of grilled all-natural Angus beef with melted blue cheese, peppercorn mayo and caramelized onions on a brioche bun. Dessert? Have you ever tasted southern-style banana pudding? Something straight out of the Great River Road in Louisiana. Delicious. Weber Grill also has locations in Schaumburg and Lombard.

Not worth a visit😔

By flyversigne |

We have eaten Brunch/morning buffet at Weber grill quite a few times in the past, and that is why we came back. But either a new owner has arrived or they have saved wildly on the food. It wasn't worth the money. It was dirty, lacked food, no butter for a breakfast and everything you had to touch in the buffet was greasy and disgusting. We asked for butter, and complained about thin coffee that tasted like boiled water, but no change. We will not come again.

Highly disappointing at a high price

By Dyan M |

Staying at a nearby hotel we thought we would swing by and order a to-go dessert. The hostess looked at us like we had a 3rd eye when we ordered a dessert exactly as named on the menu. We get our 2 desserts to go for $30!!! And she informs us they are out of silverware to go and recommends we either go buy some at a local store or stop at any other restaurant to get some from them. WHAT?! That was the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. After finding something to eat our $30 desserts with from somewhere else we get back to our hotel to find the desserts to be extremely dry. Very disappointing to say the least.

Great food and a fun atmosphere.

By Jim C |

Great food, service and atmosphere. Good value for money and ideal location. Had the rib eye steak which was great. Highly recommend

Gone downhill

By Gloria S |

This place used to be great. Sadly, now it's too understaffed. And they served redfish that was greasy (I don't think grilled fish should come out greasy) and snap peas were almost brown. The mushrooms were tough - who taught the cook? The wait staff were harried, food sat a long time after it was plated. Ugh! Then, you finish your meal and wait, in the hot restaurant because of the grills flaming up, hoping you can get your check before midnight. The wait staff were busy, they were not goofing around, just a miserable experience whether you worked all day or were on vacation. My replacement meal was great, but who wants to wait a second time for their food - they provided a second glass of wine, but when you're tired it's truly annoying.

Excellent food and service

By jessicanowoslawski |

My family and I came here for dinner on a Friday night. Service was great. We were seated in a booth next to the kitchen, so we were able to watch all of the food as it came out, which all looked delicious. The pretzel rolls came with two different butter options and we enjoyed both. The french onion soup was incredible. We had two orders of filet, which were delicious. The garlic mashed potatoes that accompanied were also great. The ribs and brisket were also ordered which both had great flavor and were very tender. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone traveling to Chicago.

Excellent Table Service

By Justin M |

We spent a weekend in Chicago to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday and our server Mike was phenomenal. All in our party were very happy with our experience and our meals.

Outstanding Steak Dinner!

By Lorinda K |

Outstanding- best meal in a long time! Ideal for your needed filet/steak dinner in Chicago! Everyone loved their meal!

Great Food, Great Service, Great Evening - Would do it again in a heartbeat

By Florian K |

I went to Webers on a Chicago visit with my father. We booked the table in advance wich was probably a good thing as the place was bustling. After the food arrived we knew why. The starter, the entrees, the drinks all where amazing. I can recommend it all and the only reason I know nothing about the deserts is because I could not imagine eating another bite. Widman our waiter took great care of us and made our time at Webers even better. If we had another night in Chicago I would do it all over again.

Very nicr

By amccolgan |

Very much enjoyed Weber. The food was very good and the staff was friendly. Atmosphere was OK, but not bad for a hotel restaurant.

The Best!!!!!

By Sue M |

While visiting Chicago my family and I had dinner at the Weber Grill. From the pretzel rolls and on we enjoyed it all. The French Onion soup had the best flavor it was so enjoyable. Then, came the entrees. Two had Filet Mignon that was excellent. One had ribs and instead of cole slaw got the fries. Good choice because there was enough to share and the fries were good and crisp. I got the weekend special of beef brisket and I am so glad I did. It was the best I ever had. It was slow roasted and so tender and juicy. Unfortunately we had no room for desert. We sat in a booth that allowed us to watch all the food coming out and it makes your mouth water watching it. So glad we chose this establishment and hope one day one comes to Cleveland, OH.

Downtown Chicago Central location indoor charcoal grilling at its finest

By Brian H Texasjetman |

Food absolutely amazing. 24 people in our party and very few less than perfect presentations. Well staffed well located and very attentive to large parties providing extra care and attention to every detail. Adjoining the downtown Hilton Hotel makes this even more conveniently located downtown.

OK, pricey

By Matt S |

The concept was interesting...everything grilled over large charcoal grills in the kitchen....and seeing it in action was pretty wild. So with that in mind, and only grilling with charcoal at home, we went in here with high expectations for some fantastic meat products. Overall, our meals.....two steaks, a burger, and a chicken dish......were good. Nothing fantastic like we went in there for, but a decent meal altogether...until we took into account the prices. For the prices we paid for each dish, we expected the fantastic, unbelievable dishes....not the "good" meals we got that probably should have all been at least 2/3 the price. Particularly egregious was the $19 cheeseburger....what came out wasn't a particularly large, nor particularly flavorful, burger, with only a moderate amount of toppings. I know Chicago can be expensive, but this was a bit difficult to swallow. We definitely would not return here at these prices.

Awful Breakfast! Doubt If I Would Eat Any Other Meal At A Weber Restaurant!

By Reba B |

Ate here because it was at our hotel. Terrible! Would not try them for any other meal based on breakfast.

Manny and Carlos Rocked!

By Erin M |

Best happy hour drinks and bartenders (Manny and Carlos) in Chicago!! Come to the Weber Grill for an awesome experience!!

The best place to stop for ANY meal, period!

By Daniel S |

The hotel has been our “Go-To” for years! Clean, courteous and much more. One of the main reasons we love it is because of location, location, location…..ESPECIALLY the Weber Grill Restaurant! We chose to eat every meal there during our stay which is typical. The staff were amazing including: Manuel was the best server at lunch and dialed in! Julio and Widman were our best waiters for dinner. Carlos killed it behind the bar and was an amazing bartender! Dialed in, great laugh and knows how to get a smile out of you Hope you enjoyed this restaurant as much as we did!

I just really enjoy this place

By LivinItAll |

Was always a staple of mine traveling into Chicago when I stayed downtown as love live cooking and grilling. You get it both here. Best 2-3 seats are end of counter to watch the grills and grillers go to work. Was back after a 2 year hiatus …and I will be back next time sooner than later - well done. Steaks great, pork chops, burgers all

Great start to our Chicago adventure

By Mukuma |

This was our first night in Chicago and a very good place to start indeed. We hadn't booked, really busy but we found a seat near the bar. Great service from Manuel who appeared to be single handedly working the bar on his own. Receptionist a tad surly but we’ll look past that 😄 Food was very good. Well recommended.

Breakfast with poor service

By Katia O |

Rude breakfast attendant. An unloved girl. Uneducated professional. Needs to be replaced or trained.

Not impressed

By shutterbugkara |

Usually impressed with Weber Grill and is one of our favorites. Today service was slow and the bar was ridiculously slow. I asked for horseradish to have with my French dip sandwich and was told they were out. There is no reason that they should be out. Not sure we will be back.

Wonderful atmosphere

By Culture288666 |

The food was excellent and the service was exceptional. We were helped by Mahjoub and Hector, both were very friendly and professional. They made suggestions and helped make our evening very enjoyable.

good overall

By WaiPRUSA |

We made an online reservation (not necessary). Arrived a few minutes before our scheduled time and they sat us right away. Everyone was kind and attentive. Our waiter was very helpful and patient. The food came out quickly. This is what we ordered, price and what we thought of it: STEAK & FRIES 8oz. USDA Angus Bistro Steak, Butcher’s Butter, Red Wine Demi, French Fries with caramelized onions on top. $35. The meat was tender, but a bit salty. SIZZLING GRILLED SHRIMP FAJITAS. Served with Griddled Peppers & Onions, Warm Flour Tortillas, Black Beans & Rice, Shredded Colby Jack, Salsa Fresca, Sour Cream. $27. Everything, except for the rice and beans were season correctly, and cooked perfectly. BBQ BABY BACK RIBS Slow-Smoked Pork Ribs Half Slab with Mashed Potatoes and French Fries. $23. She loked the Smoky flavor. Sweet BBQ taste. Good size. THE GRILL MASTER COMBO Pulled Pork, Honey Bourbon Wings, Charlie’s Pimento Cheese Hot Link with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and French Fries. $27. His favorites were the pulled pork and Wings. The steaks are on the pricey side of things. I actually selected the cheapest one. But the service was great like I mentioned before, the food came out fast and it was good overall. One last thing, do not order the bread. It's the worst I have ever had. Total paid with a four soft drinks was around $140.

Pretty good. A little pricey

By Bowmanator22 |

I was surprised to know that the company known for grills had their own restaurant. Honestly, the food was good. My cedar plank salmon was tasty. Other found the steak to be adequate. I wouldn’t necessarily hurry back but I was satisfied.

Mike…..best server ever! Good food also.

By R.D. |

Mike…best server ever. So personable, pleasant, quick, efficient…..could go on about him. Food is always excellent. We always go here on every trip to Chicago…..business or pleasure. Make a reservation so you dont have to wait.

Good food, Large portions

By Travel4Fun |

The food was excellent. The grilled Brussel sprouts were fabulous and I want the recipe. The Pork chops were great and the sides were filling and the portions more than generous. Our waiter was attentive and a bottle of wine was affordable.

Convenient and Satisfying Breakfast Experience

By Mark P |

Whenever we stay at the attached Hilton Garden Inn, we have either the hot or cold breakfast buffet next door at the Weber. So convenient. In the dozen or so times we've been here, we've never been disappointed with the service, value and comfortable decor. Servers Igor and William have been here several years and their personalities, professionalism and work ethic elevate the breakfast experience. It's so easy to criticize and nitpick dining establishments so we believe it's as important to say something nice when it's deserved. Every establishment has its off days.

Great for Casual with kids

By HTMC |

We took our daughters and grandkids to Chicago for the holidays. The Weber Grill was a great place to take them. It is decent food and the service was solid. I must say, I thought the steak would have more of a grilled look to it, but it tasted fine. The kids food was served quite nicely and the restaurant is reasonably priced for families with young kids. The restaurant served are needs very well for this trip. If you are in Chicago to experience great restaurants you would most likely skip this one.

Fine steak house, just not “FINE” Over priced

By Barbara Mason |

Was not super impressed, $200 dinner for two amd only two drinks Delminico Ribeye was good and cooked well I dont recommend the cheese crust it was so overpowering. Mashed potatoes honestly were “ehhh” they were just okay/fine. Environment was nice and spaced out , was there at 630 on a Saturday night Drinks took awhile, too long Just seemed in and out. Adding in gratuity for table of two is now a thing? I don’t recommend it and if you want additional gratuity than what you already added then service should be superior, sadly it was not.

Great steaks. Check your credit card

By AJ T |

Went on 11 September with a group of four coworkers. Very crowded but we had reservations. We all had steaks. All were excellent. Bill was $300 and I added $40 tip. When I got home and checked credit card statement found out they added another $20 to the tip. I called the restaurant twice and asked for the manager but they never responded back. Took up the case with AMEX and the overcharge was credited back in an hour.

You need to try this

By Klara C |

This is a fantastic restaurant. I got baby back ribs and they were so smokey and tender. You want your grill food to be amazing and they live up to all expectations! The waiter patiently explained the dishes we wanted to us, and he was kind as well as fun. Worth the experience and the prices are very affordable 🙌

Greedy management has forgotten the meaning of "tip"

By Kidderminster kid |

The food and the service were great - but my whole experience at Weber Grill was spoiled by the manager's policy of adding a mandatory 18% "tip" to the bill. At the end of what was (ironically) a very good meal, I felt angry and ripped off by having the manager decide how much of a tip I should leave, and helping himself to it. A tip is a tip. It's extra, it's discretionary, and it should go directly to the server. It's NOT a surcharge added to the bill by greedy managers. Next time I'll go elsewhere.

Nice Stop While Shopping

By LoveUFLoveFLA |

We stopped by for lunch hike shopping and everything was great. We were sat right away. Food and service were good. They did automatically charge 18% gratuity for the 3 of us, so pay attention.

Great Spot Restaurant

By Wolves woman |

Came here on our first night in Chicago after booking online. Lovely staff at the bar and restaurant area, food was great and really filling. Served was also very good. Recommended for a nice American meal.

Very good concept restaurant

By Jack69Rishon |

We wanted to eat a real good piece of meat. Done. Steak frite very good. Classic burger fantastic. Very good dessert as well. Service very professional. You have to eat in this place if you come to Chicago.

Weber Grill

By Russ B |

First time to Weber Grill Chicago. Been to Schaumburg and Lombard, both great places and great experiences. Chicago was great, too. Sat at a high top on the bar area. Good ambience. Perfect for 5 of us out for a business dinner. Not too loud for conversation but enough going on that it added to the vibe.

Excellent food and service! MUST try!

By Randy M |

Needed dinner near the hotel I was staying at. Found Weber Grill was a short 10 minute walk and decided to give it a try. Had no idea it's THE Weber Grill restaurant until I was inside and walking by the kitchen, seeing the weber grill tops and smelling the food being prepared. A pleasant surprise! Ordered a pork loin that was fantastic! My boss ordered the Delmonico steak and said it was one of the best he's had. The sides of mashed potatoes and asparagus were excellent as well. Dessert was a banana pudding that killed it! You cannot go wrong if you go to Weber Grill! It is on my list a MUST return to when I am in town again. Great food and EXCELLENT customer service. Give it a try, you will glad you did!

Quality food.

By kn56 |

Have always enjoyed Weber Grill on our trips to Chicago. Food has always been high quality and service was excellent. It is a modest restaurant but has a slight upscale feel to it inside. I wish we had a location near us.

Great place!

By Ady K |

Great food and service. My mom and I had a great time sitting outside and eating wonderful food in a great price. Highly recommended!

Burgers were delicious. Nice atmosphere and close to where we were staying. Great salads and pretzel bread. Will be back

Great steakhouse but offers more!

Really great steak but also yummy chicken skewer starter and one of best chocolate fudge cakes anywhere. More reasonably priced than many but super quality food that is well prepared. Great service too!

Dinner at The Weber Grill

By Larry Fudge |

First night in town on vacation and decided to eat at Weber Grill since it is connected to the our motel, the Hilton Garden Inn. We were seated promptly and waitress was pleasant and attentive. Only complaint was that we were seated very close to another couple when there were many open tables. Felt as though we were intruding on their privacy. Placed order and waitress, Jocelyn, brought rolls which were very tasty. Just finished rolls and our order arrived at the table. Initially concerned since the food arrived so quick. We both ordered the Beer Can Chicken with a side of asparagus to share. It was excellent, very moist, and well seasoned. The portions were huge - half a chicken. We could not eat all the food even though we were fairly hungry. My wife had the creme brulee which was excellent. Our bill was about $60 with entrees, coffee, and desert. Overall, a great dinner with good service and at a reasonable price. Will definitely try again while in town. Would suggest sharing since the portions are so large.

Watch your bill

By pilotwife517 |

Don the server was very good, the steaks were ok. (I'm sorry, but they taste just like my husband grills at home.) Our issue was the bill. We were a party of three, but had the party of five automatic gratuity of 18% added to our bill. This was pretty sneaky. We probably would have given more, but we were irritated. Additionally, we like when restaurants offer pay at your table, which Weber's does offer. However, the user is charged $4.99 to use this service. We have never had to pay for this service and my husband travels all over the country and world. So essentially, we were saving the server time and effort, but we were charged for it...

Nice food ..horrible bartender

By Bkel72 |

We went to Weber grill after the Chicago Marathon. The place was busy so had to wait for a table. We were told to go to the bar to wait, this is where we encountered the most horrible nasty bartender in the whole of Chicago. She was vile. (Advice to Weber grill... sack this woman immediately) Food was good but due to this woman I can only rate the place 3 out of 5.

Best place in Chicago

By federicoboracchi |

We came 3 times in one week. May be the best place in Chicago for grill food. Ribs fantastic, but also Hamburger .

Barbecue

We didn't have a reservation, but since we were there later in the evening our wait was short. We enjoyed the bread basket and ordered 2 hamburgers, the 1/2 chicken and a chicken/rice bowl. The food was well prepared and left no room for dessert. Because this was our first time at the restaurant the server comped us a chocolate chip cookie dessert that we could take back to our hotel. It was delicious.

Highly disappointed and still hungry

By Aprille M |

I am very disappointed with the meal I received from Weber Grill in Chicago. I ordered the wild mushroom pizza and seasonal cheesecake. The pizza had a decent taste, but was cold. I know this can happen with delivery, but I can see the restaurant from my hotel, so it shouldn’t have been an issue. The cheesecake was insipid. Quite frankly, I’ve had better from the frozen section in your average grocery store. As though things couldn’t get worse, after opening the bag there were no utensils or napkins. All that for $32. I am highly disappointed and still hungry. To the trash it went.

Great burger

We came all the way here because we were told they were so good burgers. They're really good. If you want to eat a good burger definitely go there.

Best ribs ever!

By MJ |

Delicious food. Sticky ribs to start were amazing and the corn bread. It is busy and quite large so it lacks the personal touch. We asked for mayonnaise and it never arrived. Overall happy with the food and service. We would eat there again.

Delicious and so reasonably priced!

At dinner here last night, breakfast, and then lunch....(on the 1st floor of our hotel). Dinner was outstanding, catch of day, Mahi and rice, veggies great as well. Breakfast, just a bit disappointed (no egg whites), power bowl was pretty good (suggest less nuts, add some rice or quinoa). Lunch, got 2 chicken salads, the Tai one and the chopped, both really good. All three servers were tops. Place was clean, nice bathrooms. So glad they add the 18% for servers, some customers are so cheap.

Disapointed

Only person at the bar on a Tuesday lunch. Service was non existent, iced tea was funky, hair in my food. Once I finally got my tab they had to go to the front desk of the HGI (attached to the hotel) to confirm my stay before settling the tab. Very odd given the HGI breakfast is in this same location.

Great grilled treats

We have wanted to try this unusual restaurant for a long time, and we were not disappointed! We had excellent grilled peppers in a spicy sauce and grilled flank steak with veggies. Yum, yum! The service was friendly and efficient but not rushed.

Great food and OUTSTANDING service

By Grantthetraveler |

A total of six of us ate at The Weber Grill on a Wednesday night. The restaurant was moderately busy considering the horrid weather (tornado warnings!), but we were seated fairly quickly in a comfortable over-sized booth. We ate grilled Brussels sprouts and a pan of skillet cornbread as appetizers and both were excellent. For entrees, we had an assortment - “Big G” burgers, ribeye steaks and salads along with wine (from a nice selection) and house beers that were outstanding. The food and drinks were very good, but the highlight of the evening was the OUTSTANDING service that we received from Veselin, our server. His attitude, disposition, personality, work ethic and attention to detail were among the very best that I have ever experienced at any class of restaurant, anywhere in the world. From the timing of his visits to our table to his knowledge of the menu to his charming personality, wit and sense of humor, Veselin helped make our entire evening a fantastic experience. THIS guy is what every server should be and he is a wonderful ambassador for The Weber Grill and for the city of Chicago! The Weber Grill (and Veselin) come with my highest recommendation!

Average food.

By Melissa F |

The service was good, the food was average. My husband's steak was $50 and was advertised as prime beef. He is a steak lover so he was excited to receive his meal. He is pretty certain the steak was not prime and wished he was having a steak that we grilled at home instead. My son and I both had the bistro steak and agreed that we would rather have the steak we prepare at home. If you want a true steak house flavor, for the price, you may want to look further.

Excellent service excellent food

The service was excellent, we got fillet and it just melted when you put it in your mouth...great atmosphere even in COVID times

Wonderful staff and delicious dinners

My husband and I decided to try dinner at Weber Grill on a recommendation from a family member as we were visiting Chicago for the first time and had no idea with the number of restaurants in the area, which ones were good. So happy we did! Our waiter, Austin was wonderful and had ensured that our dinner would be ready in plenty of time before we needed to board our tour bus. We were grateful that both orders were prepared so quickly and the food was phenomenal! I had the pork tenderloin and my husband had steak. We shared the sticky ribs appetizer-no need for a fork as they are so tender! Thank you to Austin and the chefs for making our dinner evening enjoyable, fun and memorable!

Good place for a meal

By perky88 |

Came across this place whilst walking around Chicago and due to name was interested so booked table of 2 Food was good but nothing that you wouldn’t get in any other similar type place. Server was ok but the guy who brought food out from kitchen just put in middle of table - didn’t bother to ask who it was for. The washrooms were dirty (and this was about 9pm) - used hand towels overflowing from bin Guess this place relies on its name and link to famous smoke company but the attention to detail lets it down Would eat here again but wouldn’t specifically choose it over any of the many other similar places.

Weekend getaway

Very busy just like all the decent restaurants in Chicago. But worth the wait. Insanely great food. Steaks and seafood both 5 stars. Small bar ma,especially waiting tough but this is a great place to eat.

Cheap meat.

By DiegoCe75 |

After a day walking around the Windy City with autumn weather we chose this place both for the reviews and for the proximity to the hotel. Good call. A very good meat and an excellent quality / price ratio. Recommended.

Good bbq

By Jame G. |

Come here for the bbq. Don’t expect a great steak. That’s not what this is about. Best item? Meatloaf. Delicious. Very loud in here.

Good service, bad food

By Jack B |

The BBQ ribs were either burned or tasted like it, and had barely any meat on them. The bone on the end was plain inedible and had seemingly no meat. The fries were mistakable for toothpicks. The free pretzel bread was good, but that’s about as far as the praise of the food goes. The service, by contrast, was excellent. Whenever I ran out of drink, the server was practically around the corner with a refill.

Wonderful

Hector is so great, wonderful suggestions, excellent service, and the food is delicious. We loved everything we tried. Brussels sprouts were excellent appetizer.

Great place

By S S |

We walked in, greeted right away, and everyone was so nice. Everyone seemed to pitch in and help serving everyone. We sat near the bar on a high table, and even the bartender was helpful! The food was great. I had the barbeque meatloaf, and my husband had the brisket. The meats were so tender, and the garlic potatoes were perfect. They didn't overprice the food. We will definitely stop by again when we get back to Chicago!

Thanksgiving at Weber’s!

By Steve N |

We visited Weber’s for our Thanksgiving meal with a larger family group. The service and food was outstanding. Despite being very busy and having to work on a holiday everyone who worked there seemed so cheerful and helpful. Our server was so attentive. The turkey was fantastic and there was plenty of food. Most of us had the fixed menu turkey dinner that gave you a few choices with the sides like sweet potatoes vs mashed potatoes or asparagus vs green beans. Will be back for sure.

Great food, good relaxed atmosphere

Everyone's food was very good and server was excellent. Kitchen made me the wrong thing (misread prime rib for ribeye) and fixed it quickly with visit from manager and some help on the bill.
