There was a big stir about the opening of Wegman, so it deserved a visit. Frankly, disappointing nothing really special and the prices were high. Bought a 5 pack of Kumatos for $3.99 and on the way home Green Ivy had the exact product, $.99, yeah $3 dollars cheaper. Some sections in the store, cake mixes, honey, flour didn't have a good selection. Meat except for a small meat counter was mostly cryovaced. Veggies were no big deal and some of the produce looked tired. Their hot foods, a large selection, but didn't look significantly better than a good neighborhood bodega. So to get there you either drive or take the F train to York St. and have a walk. Yes, it's a large supermarket but the selection is spotty and after you can't find what you want/need you can head upstairs to the bar and have a drink, ehh...

The Wegmans located in the Brooklyn Navy Yard is fun if you go on a day when the parking is light. I have gone on some days and circles for as much as 30 minutes and fought over spots with other patrons. Yesterday I went and the lot was completely empty so I think it might be better luck on a week day. The Wegmans has a decent selection of beer, cheeses and sushi. Don’t forget to visit the kings county distillery a stones throw away. The Brooklyn Navy Yard is a historic naval shipyard located in Brooklyn, New York. It was established in 1801 and served as a major shipbuilding and repair facility for the United States Navy for over 150 years. During its peak, the Brooklyn Navy Yard played a crucial role in building and repairing ships for various conflicts, including the Civil War and World War II. After World War II, the Brooklyn Navy Yard experienced a decline in activity due to changes in naval strategy and the decommissioning of older ships. In the 1960s, the Navy gradually scaled back its operations at the yard, leading to its closure in 1966. In the decades following its closure, the Brooklyn Navy Yard underwent a transformation into an industrial park and center for manufacturing, film production, and technology. Today, it is home to a diverse array of businesses, artisans, and cultural organizations. The Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation oversees its operations and development, aiming to preserve its historic character while promoting innovation and economic growth in the surrounding community.

They do have a large prepared food area with pizza and other things plus some places to sit and eat. I was here to buy groceries and found the selections excellent. The staff were terrific with many offering to help me. Big parking lot.

Just got back from the new Wegmans at the old Brooklyn Navy yard....... loved it!!! Had no purpose to shop but wish I had a recipe list to fulfill ‘cause they would have almost everything on my list! Mushrooms = great choices. They are missing only o e tho g I wanted ...creamed spinach. It is a wonderful tee staple for our house. The cheeses were delicious, with several varieties that are off the beaten track. I am a Brooklynite and lovdd Ed to see good things happening in my “homeland”

I love Wegmans. I shop all the time at my home store, but this week, I was in Brooklyn, NY and took some friends to the new Wegmans. They have great parking! And for NYC, that's rare! But there is a great parking lot and it's safe. Inside the store, there are so many options for just about everything! The cheese counter is amazing! You can sample any cheese you like. The produce section is international and huge. The food is fresh and beautiful. The dining options are great. I just love it here!

Sunday July 25th. I've brought Sushi from Wegmans before and never had this experience I took it home ate it about a half an hour later. Then 15 minutes later I felt a burning pain in my stomach followed by profuse sweating , dizziness weakness in my legs. Then came the runs all night! This is unacceptable! Would'nt wish this fate on my enemy's. Never ever will I buy Sushi from Wegmans. I believe Wegmans should review. Quality Control, Food Handling and Sanitary Practices. For starters! By the Grace of God I am here to make everyone aware Wegmans bar of excellence has been brought down to Bodega standards when it comes to handling food. J. Baez Brooklyn.

Mixed feedback from one visit. PLUS: reasonable prices overall, clean & spacious, well-stocked groceries, wide selection of cooked food buffet-style, competent staff, free parking MINUS: more affordable prices elsewhere, not accessible by subway, not enough space for dining in--Street level outdoor area gets crowded at lunch time. Second level is reserved for employees. We all have our own preferences. It's worth a visit.

I've been using Wegmans delivery service for the last couple months of covid. Couple of times the service was fabulous. The shopper communicated with me about substitutions, I was able to add items to my order. Most of the time, the shoppers just zoomed thru the store. They rarely had the meats ordered & produce was fair. Frozen food was ALWAYS MELTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Shopped at Wegmans and was pleasantly surprised at the abundance of Organic and fresh produce!!! Customer service was excellent! No long lines. They have quite a bit of prepared foods that you can grab and go! If you are visiting NYC you can get dinners already prepared. Good looks and taste delicious! Definitely a must to visit and shop!!
After work
My manager dragged me along to check out the new Wegmans. Fresh food ready to eat or take home This place is awesome!
