Dinner in Atlanta

By Michael |

My wife and I stopped by here for dinner, after visiting the Georgia aquarium. We heard great reviews about this place. My wife ordered short rib and it was good. I ordered the Bucatini Carbonara. It was good and a restaurant manger came to our table to give us recommendations for breakfast.

Poor

By Jose A |

It is an old fashioned restaurant and very boring, the food, atmosphere and service is very poor, for no reason or recommend it.

It was OK.

By Cary M |

My wife and I dined this evening with another couple and we’re initially pretty excited about the atmosphere and menu. Our server was efficient to get us a round of drinks and took our order for appetizers. We had the deviled eggs and beignets which were good but not great and that pretty much summed up the experience. We ordered fried chicken, short rib and venison. When the food came, we were each served the dish we didn’t order but fixed that issue easily. The fried chicken was very good and our friend enjoyed the short rib. The venison was not great and we left half of it. Dessert was also good but again not memorable. Ok

ATLANTA'S BEST RESTAURANT!!!

By Ashli H |

My family and I along with some close friends help celebrate my lovely mother's birthday here. Tiera was one of our servers and she was so attentive, pleasant, and showed our party excellent service! Britney, another server, was also very helpful! Many people in our party including myself ordered the lamb for our entrees. I recommend the cheese platter as an appetizer. It comes with an assortment of tasty treats including peppers and salami. Our service was superb as was our food. The thing that stood out most about this place to me was all of the employees were happy and helpful. My mom really enjoyed herself so that means we will be back! Eat here. Your tastebuds will thank you!!! Ashli H.❤❤❤❤❤

Don't Miss the Shrimp Beignets!

By repurposedpack |

Perfect place for a nice whiskey or delicious cocktail in a beautiful space. Thoroughly enjoyed the well-plated and well-crafted beignets.

. Modern Southern scene dining in the heart of downtown

By worktotravel14 |

This was definitely one of the nicer restaurants that I was able to enjoy while attending a conference. It was a busy time with multiple conferences in the area so I was lucky to snag a seat. The restaurant specializes in Southern comfort food with a little flare though the shrimp in grits was truly that dish. Good bar with stiff, strong drinks. Quick, efficient service to turn over the table.

Meh! So-So

By Patrick S |

Went for Business dinner. Read reviews and noise definitely issue here. We requested private dinning and they were great on setting up for short notice but room was like turkish bath and could not get temperature down. Had leave doors open which defeated purpose of private dining. Also, ran out many items on food and wine list. 4 attempts to order wine they eventually just comped bottle. Seemed disorganized. Food overall was ok. Not bad not amazing...

Fresh & Tasty But Pricey

By Yulbos |

Everything is made from scratch and with fresh ingredients which comes through in the taste. Service was excellent. Bar has a full selection of your favorites. Our group especially liked the deserts; orange cake and lenom curd/tart. We could not decide which one was better. Prices skew on the high side and note that everything is a la carte so it is necessary to orrder sides which tend to be more portioned for single serving vs sharing.

Fantastic food, drinks and service

By Katie H |

We had a great night at Wild Oak. Excellent and attentive service thanks to our server Richard. Food was beyond delicious - we had the Mac n’cheese to start (more than enough to share between 2 people), then the duck and short ribs for main. The moonshine margarita cocktail was amazing! Thanks to the team at Wild Oak for a memorable dinner for my last night in the USA!

Sorry we are out of that and that and that…….

At a reservation for 8 o’clock on Friday, May 20 arrived requested to sit outside and about 10 minutes later we were seated. It took about 10 more minutes before we saw the waitress came over and asked if we wanted drinks. We ordered our drinks after we were informed that they were out of the pomegranate purée used in one of their signature drinks. Then order appetizers for the table which I will say it was the highlight of the evening the shrimp and the fried tomatoes were very good and then went on to order dinner and more informed that they were out of steak which was what I was hoping to order I decided to order the chicken and the food was delivered pretty fast the chicken was deep fried I think a little too long is crust almost had a burnt taste to it and other than that it had no taste at all the chicken itself is moist. I ordered a Lagar I was told at that time that they were out of it. We finished our dinner and ordered desserts and I ordered the bread pudding I was told they were out of that as well and have been for over a week. It’s funny that three items that I ordered out of the four are not available but still on the menu we weren’t told that the products were out of supply or not available. For Friday night 8 o’clock the beginning of the weekend I was not impressed at all the waitress didn’t seem to care but the fact that every time I ordered the product was unavailable so I gave it a poor rating just based on things on the menu not being available drinks not being available and overall experience

Better choices nearby.

Our Saturday evening visit may have affected our experience as we believe both the floor and kitchen were understaffed. We did not have to wait to be seated, but waited an awfully long time to see a waiter and again to get our food. I had the scallops that came with a rice salad which was room temperature, but I suspect was meant to be warm. The scallops were cooked to perfection, however, when the waiter placed my plate, I caught a strong fishy odor. I looked it up later to find that scallops, both raw and cooked, should never smell fishy. I am not put off by a fishy smell, so I ate them and had no problems. My husband had the fried chicken which came with succotash, which was very good. The coating of the chicken was crisp, but the skin was not, which was off-putting to my husband. The portions were small, which we liked. Our total with tip was right at $80.00 and we thought that was high for the quality of the food and the experience. None of this should reflect poorly on our waiter Sean (sp?), who was very nice and professional. It was so loud that, although we sat a right angle to one another (not across from) at a small table, we had to raise our voices to talk. We will not go back.

Delicious food in cool setting.

Delicious food in cool setting. We sat outdoors on a weekend evening. It gets quite noisy since, it seems, in that part of Atlanta it is popular to go up and down the street showing off your muscle cars. But it was fun to see even if it was noisy. We had delicious meat and cheese platter and fried tomatoes as starters. Very rich and tasty. The main courses of chicken and pork were huge and wolfed down quickly by the younger ones in the party. The sea bass was stunning—super tender and tasty. The wine and drink selection is good too. But they seemed under staffed. Our waiter was good and friendly but clearly had to attend to too many tables by himself.

Got lucky and found this gem of a bar!

By jhdct |

I will preface this review and write that this is only for the bar service. I did not order any food during my recent visit. My mom and I were walking back to our hotel from the aquarium and stumbled upon WOKC. We had the pleasure of being served by Rasheed. He was very friendly. We talked his ear off about their bourbons. I asked him to design a special cocktail with vodka and St. Germaine. He did not disappoint. It was delightful. My mom had the moonshine margarita. Both cocktails were great. I also tried one of the many bourbons. I may just become a bourbon drinker. We came in on Thursday afternoon so I suspect that most people were still at work. The bar was quiet. It was nice to sit and relax without loud people all around us. The ambiance of the bar was great. I imagine it can get quite loud when it is packed.

Exceptional cuisine, great menu

We had a group of 6 and everyone had an outstanding meal. Fantastic octopus, chopped salad, steak and mushrooms to die for! Lovely ambiance and great, attentive service.

Don't go there

By Kateryna H |

Came after lunch time to the empty restaurant, had 1 hour break to get smth to eat, ordered a duck, as soon as waitress got me water. Waited for my meal 40 mins, asked the hostess what's going on with my meal, bs my waitress was I don't know where, so then probably as soon as hostess reminded about my existence... the waitress came and said she's stressed bs she doesn't know what's going on, it's time when shifts are changing (it was 4 o'clock) and apparently as I understood my food wasn't ready at that moment even ( was supposed to take like 20 mins the most..), then manager showed up and offered to get it on the house, like I really cared... I just wanted to eat, I didn't care about money, so at the end I just had to leave bs I didn't have time left to eat... so I left hungry and really disappointed... No management!!!! The waitress also didn't check on me like for an hour almost till I remind her. Don't recommend this place!!! If u want to eat smth u need to go somewhere else bs it's not guaranteed u will get your food...

Skip it

By NomeMan |

A little too pretentious for me... Went here with a group of colleagues on the last night of a meeting in ATL on the recommendation of a concierge and frankly it failed to impress. Strike 1. There were eight of us, and they made us wait for 20 minutes for a table even when the place was practically empty and the table they seated us at was empty the entire time they had us wait. Felt like they did it just to be pissy because we were a larger group.. Strike 2. The food and drink is ridiculously expensive. When there isn’t an appetizer on the menu less than $18 and no entree less than $30, it gives you pause. Likewise, when none of the drinks are less than $10, you begin to think they’re just hosing you because they can. Strike 3. If you’re paying as much for food and drink as noted above you expect it to be awesome. Mine wasn’t. Granted, it wasn’t bad, but it took forever to get both my food and bourbon (How hard it is to pour a neat bourbon for goodness sake?!?) and it frankly wasn’t even that good. Wouldn’t eat here again at all.

Solid Food and Service, Classy Atmosphere

By Gluguy |

Visited WOK&C earlier this week with a colleague for dinner. Had drinks then the braised beef short rib with Brussels sprout leaves and purée of butternut squash. Although the quality and flavor pairings were superb, the portions were quite small for the price. My colleague had the pork shank and enjoyed it. Portions size for the pork dish were more generous. Service was good but not exceptional. No complaints but now wowed. Cool upscale vibe. Nice place for dinner and drinks.

Excellent restaurant

By GavinGoesPlaces |

Ordered the shrimp beignets, the octopus, and the buttercake for dessert. Had a couple of cocktails. The food and drinks were excellent - well worth the $100 - didn't even bat an eye because of how good it was. Nice clean restaurant - nice patio area. Nice service.

Great business meal

By Paul_from_Offshore |

I joined 4 colleagues for dinner. The menu was a bit pricey and the meals on the fancy side. I asked for a bacon cheeseburger-- not on the menu we had -- but the best meal at the table. Drinks were well made, though the were out of the first two single malt scotches ordered.

Interesting seasonal menu

By Melissa G |

Very creative, delicious menu featuring local southern food. Homemade peach butter for the perfect biscuits and the shrimp beignets are an excellent starter. I had the scallops in a salad with peach based dressing and they were cooked perfectly. Icing on the cake was the strawberry poppyseed cake with strawberry sorbet. Three servers gave excellent service

Jewel across the street!

Had nice outdoor seating, great service, and excellent food! Spent a little more than usual, but it was worth it! Recommend you surprise your taste buds and try this place!

Treatment =(

By BluePenguin70 |

White Oak's treatment of the Dana Family on 4-28-2018 , who has a Mobility SERVICE Dog was completely shameful & Illegal .... W.O refused to allow them in .. stated they could drag a table outside ...etc.... The ADA states that a Service Dog IS allowed ANYWHERE as to public places .. (hate this comparison but it is the same as a wheelchair ) .. Until they educate the staff I will never go to White Oak and I Advise others not to do so either ! .. Thank-you =)

Great ambiance and good food - though they clearly thought I needed more Manhattans...

By Jeffrey R |

The board meeting I was attending was intense, and ended with a dinner here. As unlike many of the others attending I wasn't at the hotel where we met, I went straight over to the restaurant to have something to unwind before the rest of our number arrived. The bar is spacious and has great street views, and they fuss about their cocktails. I asked for a rye Manhattan, and was pointed to something on their cocktail menu that had another name but all the correct ingredients. So I tried it, and it was quite nice. The rest of my board colleagues arrived and we were ushered into our private room, me with my still-unfinished Manhattan in hand. Orders were taken and appetizers appeared - along with a second Manhattan (or whatever they called it - same drink), about the time I finished the first. More socializing occurred over appetizers, and main courses began to arrive (I ordered scallops because I though that might be smaller portioned, which it was - and it was very well made!) - and about the time I finished my scallops, a third Manhattan appeared, shortly after I finished the second. An anticipating wait staff is good, but three Manhattans in a night was not in the cards, so that one got left, I shifted to water, and made an early night of it as I had an early flight home. Short version: the food was great, the ambiance is lovely. Why they thought I needed three Manhattans was unclear (beyond maybe padding a bill for a dinner that someone else was paying for...?). It's clear that they're proud of their cocktails, however.

Large Group Meal in a Side Room

By 692russk |

Business group gathered in a large room in this spacious, noisy bar/restaurant located downtown on Peachstreet. Food was ok although the prepared menu had three choices for the main course including "grouper". The wait staff announced just before they delivered dinner that the menu had a mistake, no "grouper", the fish was "trout" instead. Offered to redo the order but would of taken a long time while others were eating. Ooops! Quality venues just do not make that mistake for 40 people.

So happy to find this place

Excellent dinner after wandering around seeing many restaurants closed. Sam was wonderful with suggestions and service. Highly recommend!

Nearly everything was spot on

By Road_Warrior32034 |

On the way to the entrance, we noticed a nicely defined, flower-accented, outdoor eating area for those so inclined. From the moment we entered the revolving door to this downtown restaurant, we were impressed. The restaurant had very large windows on two sides giving the space an open, airy atmosphere. Lots of curved wooden surfaces were complimented with strategically placed wooden barrels. The city street view out the large windowed walls was softened by several trees. There were what looked like fresh herbs growing in raised planters on the outdoor balcony. The low volume mood music allowed for polite conversation without raising our voices, which is a major plus in my book. Our server, Sean, was very personable, professional and immediately made us feel at ease. We had studied their menu prior to arriving and knew what we wanted. We chose to share the steak for two between the three of us. It came with potatoes, mushrooms, and a salad. The entrées were brought in a timely fashion. And the first few bytes heightened our anticipation that we were in for an exceptional culinary adventure. The spices used in the preparation of the steak complemented the quality cut of beef perfectly. The strawberries were macerated in the vinaigrette salad dressing overnight to give the dressing an obvious, delicious flavoring. The variety of vegetables in the salad made for a very interesting, delightful side dish. The mushrooms and baby potatoes were also artfully prepared. My White Russian was not too strong and not too weak. The only disappointment was the oysters which were promptly taken care of. A neighboring table gave the thumbs up signal when the staff inquired about how he liked the calamari. The whole wait staff was a well coordinated team, collaboratively cooperating to provide smooth execution of quality customer service. The manager was a positive presence on the floor. Even after the Bluegrass band started entertaining, quiet table conversation was possible. Good music, excellent customer service, a delicious steak dinner made it the best meal this traveling trio had experienced in quite a while.

Nice Lunch Stop for Business

By Sinatralis |

We were here in Atlanta for a conference and we stopped here for lunch. It took a while for us to get seated and it wasn’t very busy… but the menu is good the wine selections are good the service is good. Easy to find it’s in the hotel district area right on the corner. They have sandwiches salads which are very good. They have a nice outdoor patio as well.

A pricey, different type of restaurant

By CandyfromCalifornia |

We went with another couple and were presented with the thickest wine list that we had ever seen! It was so large that we decided to ask for a bottle of house Cabernet--they were out so we finally selected a California wine. Several of us had the heirloom tomato salad which was good. One person had the vegetarian platter which was very generous with carrots, okra, and zucchini. One person had the catfish which he said was good and two of us had bonzini (fish), which I had never heard of--quite tasty. Two of us had the Meyer lemon with rhubarb--the rhubarb was merely smeared on bottom of plate and was ok. We did start dinner outside which was lovely but the mosquitoes drove us inside. All in all, a nice restaurant with good service.

Promoted

By ironchief |

The restaurant is located in downtown Atlanta, a few minutes walk from the main hotels in the area, making it very convenient for organizing business dinners without traveling. Good table service, excellent cuisine, I must say that the chef has an excellent hand and being an "American" restaurant the food is of excellent quality. Rib cut fried tomatoes and lamb deserve praise. Prices in line with the context (therefore quite high). Good wine list Too bad the background noise from the tables around us, we were unlucky. This is why 4 stars and not 5.

Birthday celebration

By TravelingPlacesAgain |

The service was excellent. We were a party of six and were seated immediately. The atmosphere is very contemporary with and industrial vibe. Our waitress was very attentive. The drinks were good. For appetizers the table had the deviled eggs and the charbroiled octopus both which were very good. The mac n cheese appetizer was a disappointment. It was a soup like cheese mixture with pasta which just wasn't good. Our table also had several seafood entrees which were also very good. The quail and short ribs were also ordered and both received rave reviews. One family member had the sweet potato beignets which were dry. I would definitely go back for lunch or dinner.

Excellent Food, EXTRAORDINARY Service, good location, good place to go

By DJ Sales Road Warrior |

Having eaten here twice in 3 days: All aspects mentioned in the title of this review were consistent. Staff recognizing that our party of two were back with deep thanks. There was an undercooked steak served and they did backflips to correct. If you are staying at ALOFT hotel - this hotel is one block distant walk. I'll go there next chance I have.

Every dish was unique

By Charlene P |

I went with two friends and we ordered five small plates. Some of the food was new to me while other dishes, such as the salad Nicoise, was prepared in a novel way. The flavors in each dish were unique, so as each plate came out, we were pleasantly surprised by the taste. The decor is low-key and calm, and the noise level was low. Our waiter was helpful and attentive. Give this place a try if you are in Atlanta.

Perfect location

By 2happi |

There are so many restaurants on Peachtree St that it is easy to miss this one- but don't! The food and service is amazing. Had an early dinner that started with their deviled eggs and house lemonade, then the rainbow trout and passion fruit sherbet for dessert!

Somewhat overrated, though expensive

By Julius D |

We had a group dinner in this restaurant. The food was different, but certainly nothing to write home about. Service was mediocre--the waiter had no idea what he was serving and could not answer when asked if imported beer was available. A let-down.

Lovely restaurant

By Catherine S |

Colleagues and I went to White Oak Kitchen for dinner and loved it. The atmosphere is lovely and enticing and the service and food were excellent. We shared the Butcher Board and the entrees, pork chop, trout, fried chicken were excellent. The Mac & Cheese was good but not great. The waitstaff was helpful and attentive.

Delicious food, fun atmosphere

By Drthmedarb |

About 20 of my colleagues reserved a private room here for dinner during our annual conference, and had a great time. The food was very good, service was attentive. The only problem is that they only had a curtain separating our dining space from that of people with very loud voices that got louder as the evening went on.

Great lunch

By darbyvan |

Randomly spotted this restaurant from the cab on the way to the hotel and gave it a try. It was an excellent choice! Try the shrimp Appetizer and chicken egg salad sandwich!

Celebration Bowl Dinner

By Yorkiemomtoo |

Friends of mine and I ate dinner there after attending a football game at the Mercedes Benz Stadium. It was on the list provided by the hotel so we walked 2 blocks and had an absolutely amazing meal. We had pork chops, fried chicken, and trout. They were all excellent! The cocktails were fantastic as well. We also thought the service was exceptional!

Great cocktails, good + spot

By methree17 |

Wanted dinner close to our hotel (Hilton). Used the sky bridge to walk through 2 hotels to get almost to their front door. Beautiful spot, kinda rustic, kinda hipster.... super cool. Had the blackberry sage old fashioned, WOKC chopped salad, shrimp beignets, mac + cheese, sweet potato beignets and ooey gooey butter cake. Fantastic! Will absolutely go back. PS service rocked-LaToya was on point and delightful.

Customer Beware

By carl c |

I rarely write reviews but I wanted to provide a cautionary tale to unsuspecting customers, especially tourists. It was only after we left the restaurant did I realize that we had been snookered. We had a group of 28 persons and the restaurant billed us for 53 persons. We had a prix fixe meal that should have cost no more than $55 (which is still $10 more than the identical items listed on the menu) and we were billed $70. We were billed for 12 bottles of $40 wine and most of group had one or two glasses, and about a third didn't drink at all. I took multiple calls to get them to reduce the number of guests and the price of the meal. They never reduced the wine charge. As for the food, the trout that I had was good but not exceptional. There rest of the meal was a non-remarkable salad and dessert (they badly need a pastry chef). I suspect this is a restaurant in decline that is now trying to make ends meet by fleecing unsuspecting visitors. We are surely not the first group that had this experience. Many people probably are unaware what was done to them. There are numerous outstanding restaurants in Atlanta that would be happy to accommodate large groups without all the shenanigans.

Great meal; nice atmosphere

By Kathy R |

We ate dinner here while visiting Atlanta. The restaurant is roomy and has a pleasant atmosphere. Our meal was delicious and the service was very good - attentive and timely. The ingredients were fresh and well prepared. We walked from our hotel near Olympic Park; it's a relatively short walk but quite a climb up the hill.

Absolutely Best Lunch In Atlanta

By Joesavage1953 |

Absolutely Best Lunch In Atlanta and the cocktails by Bryan were exemplary of a Master Bartender and exceptional Chef. The salads are great and the New Orleans style dishes were all delicious. We really enjoyed sitting at the Bar and chatting with Bryan who was friendly and professional.

Drinks

By Jefe |

Stopped in for a beer. We had already eaten. Drink menu looked fun. Beer options were so-so but we did find something we liked. I’d drop in again for drinks at least if I’m ever in the area

Lousy

By NZguy1 |

The place looks so great. Big problems though. Took forever to get the food delivered. Manager apologized. However, it was painstaking. And then the duck didn't even taste good. I can make a better duck breast at home.

Out of this world!

By Amy E |

I must say it has been an extremely long time since I've experienced service like we did this past evening. We did not have a reservation but remembered Tierra from last year. Not only did she get us a table. She dazzled us with the support of her waitstaff and her charms, selecting wine for our table and sending over appetizers for our wait. We almost forgot we were waiting and actually decided to stay in the bar area with the large windows. Very well mannered and disciplined staff. Truly a gem and a must in the downtown Atlanta Area.

Good Chef

Enjoyed the food here and would return The roasted pork that was marinated with a mole type marinade was outstanding Restaurant Convient to down town Atlanta hotels (across from Hyatt) small with some outside seating Good bar an bourbon selection

Exquisite flavors with attentive service

By Elizabeth G |

Great food, well crafted and great wine. Service was attentive and great. A great place for big groups.

Fabulous!

By mungopammy |

All of our food was outstanding! Our waitress Christianne was excellent. She gave thoughtful recommendations and they were all perfect. From the beet salad, the appetizer beignets, the entrees of steak and shrimp, the cocktails, the ooey gooey butter cake and chocolate mousse bomb. The decor and atmosphere is delightful as well. Would definitely like to visit again. I'm glad our sons picked this for our Christmas present and we loved it!

Good food, good service

By Michel B |

Were here with a group and we had a pleasant evening, due to simply a great choice of food and wine and speedy and friendly service. Wine by the bottle was quite pricey though.

Poor Pours

By scottcrabb |

Stopped in for a couple of beers and sat on deck with my pup. Slow to be met by anyone but eventually one chap walked over and mumbled something about water. First beer arrived with a 2” head on it. I drank up but didn’t say anything. The second arrived with an even bigger head, so I pointed it out to the waiter. He seemed to have already known it was messed up and immediately commented that he was aware and would bring me another. I waited for the head to dissolve and it was just about half of the glass. The waiter brought me another beer but in a miniature glass to compensate for the half that was missing. Seems at that point just pour a normal beer and bring it out…

This place won't be in business much longer

By Warren S |

Wow. Almost an hour for our dinners. Sat under a heat lamp. Fish was dry and terrible. 2 in the party ordered the $58 steaks. Sent back the fish. Didn't even eat 2 bites. Waitress was nowhere to be found. First manager had a terrible attitude. Unapologetic to say the least. Maybe 5 tables were being served. So not busy. Second manager was a really stand up guy. Very apologetic and sorry for the food and wait. We ended up walking to the hard rock and had a 8:30 dinner. would have been 1 star, but the second manager boosted the rating a little higher. Sorry. Won't be back when management has attitudes like her. 5 full time business travelers.

Mediocre at best. At worst? A soul-sapping waste of a meal not to mention money

By Carolyn Spencer Brown |

The menu looks great, as does the list of craft cocktails. But it’s a chilly restaurant, both in ambience and service, and it’s not inexpensive. On a late weekday lunch, when it wasn’t terribly crowded, the server recommended the burger and wow, what a mistake. It’s designed like a McDonalds double cheeseburger – two thin patties, so thin you can’t dictate the cooking temperature. There are WOAC fries, and what that means, according to my clinically-okay-waiter-without-any-interest-in-serving-or-food, is that apparently the potatoes come from a supplier but the kitchen cuts them up. Mentioned without a hint of irony. The burger, which is so slimy it comes shooting out of an otherwise lovely brioche bun, is barely edible – it lacks flavor and texture, and practically; at least McDonald’s figured out how to keep the meat patties from slipping out from all sides. McDonald’s fries are much more flavorful, too, which is saying something. Once I placed my order, and again, the restaurant wasn’t terribly busy, I never saw my server again unless I gesticulated wildly to get his attention (or that of the equally disinterested manager). Every. Time. No “how’s everything” check-in, no proactive drink refills, or, when I was clearly finished with my lackluster meal, any attempt to remove the dirty dishes. The pre-lunch cocktail, a sage-blueberry Manhattan that was kind of interesting, sat drained and done, on the table throughout the lunch. When I waved the waiter down to take my dishes away, I argued with myself about ordering dessert. They looked interesting and yet the meal had been so disappointing…was it worth the effort to order sweet from a restaurant that couldn’t even manage a decent burger? In the end, more as a test, I asked the waiter for his recommendation, and it turned out to be the best thing on the entire menu: The gooey butter cake with spicy apple butter. Oh, my, wonderful. Of course there’s also a downside to that part of the experience (otherwise the meal was just a downer and fortunately we had better ones in downtown Atlanta): Ordering the dessert, which wasn’t cooked or even heated, the latter of which might have been a nice touch, took longer to arrive than did the overcooked twin-skinny burger. After I (reluctantly) pushed it away, now running late for where I needed to be, I was able to wave down – there it is again, the fact that I did all the work attracting service – and this time the manager showed up, and I mentioned I needed a check and that the lag getting the dessert wasn’t appreciated. To his credit he took the cake off the check. But you know, I really would rather pay for my food and have a good experience. The server, standing near the entrance, didn’t bother to acknowledge me as I left (why should he?) and I was glad that I left the lowest possible tip I leave; 15 percent. At a different restaurant for lunch yesterday, the tip was 25 percent. Service does matter. You can have great food and still treat people callously and it’ll matter, but in this case the food wasn’t good enough to override the clearly badly run restaurant.

Great Downtown Gem Atlanta

By jlpgolfer |

This restaurant right across Peachtree from Hyatt Regency Great atmosphere and friendly staff with an very unique menu The chef here has some great combination ideas Farm to table and extremely satisfying. Great restaurant for cocktails and food

Excellent food

By Bill P |

I attended business dinner at White Oak and was very impressed. Hip old school southern in decor. They specialize in bourbon, so check it out if you like bourbon. The food for our party was good, although the steaks were a little hard to cut. Excellent flavor and cooked well, but not quite as tender as it should have been. Everything else was excellent.

Solid choice

By spencerusa |

Name perfectly describes the decor. Large restaurant, chopped in into five rooms ( a couple are for private dining). Restaurant is busy and informal, service is prompt and friendly. Standout dishes at my table (on the dinner menu) included the beet salad and the beignets, the trout and the meatballs.

Great outdoor seating area, tasty meal

By Husker-heel |

The ambiance in the restaurant is very welcoming with large glass windows that allow in lots of natural light, and classic/ essential furniture with a lot of modern wood edges that makes for a simple but elegant style. I got to sit outside to enjoy the sunshine and a bar with a central arrangement of tropical flowers. The flowers and prosecco could have done it for me but I also REALLY enjoyed my (chilled) summer soup with summer squash, corn and tomato conserva— lick the plate yummy! I followed with a safe but appetizing go to the “Ga Green” salad, and then had the duck plate. Unfortunately, i found the entree to be wanting. While the meat was flavorful, it was a bit tough and chewy. I also didn’t quite get into the medley of flavors with the accompaniments. The day was saved though by the pumpkin beignets for dessert. I could eat those for days! In sum, overall a truly relaxing and palatable experience. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a nice spot in the area!

Amazing food in an amazing setting!

By Judy R |

Excellent restaurant across the street from the Marriott and Hyatt. The setting is very cool, upscale, and vibrant. Great selection of food. It was hard to choose! Our group ordered several appetizers. The fried green tomatoes and the mac n cheese were delicious! They offer an individual charcuterie board, fried chicken, short rib, and apple and kale salad were bit hits at our table. The wine was perfect. The service staff was attentive and friendly.

Classic wine and cocktail bar with good food to match

Sleek decor, open plan, wide choice of beverages and a good menu make this a to-do place to get a quick meal. There are plenty of large hotels in the neighbourhood, so if you're staying around the Peachtree MARTA station this would work well. I had pheasant with tomato salsa-like thing and mixed garlic and parsely mushrooms as a side. I'd have it again!

Yumm!

I am so glad I found this place. I was hoping for a taste of Southern cuisine while on a business trip. This restaurant was fantastic! I sat at the bar and enjoyed wine by the glass (great selection) and 2 small plates... the Shrimp Beignets and charred baby carrot and broccoli dish. Both wonderful and substantial portions. The Shrimp Beignets had chunks of Rock shrimp and were not overly breaded. The charred vegetables were delicious- served with cashew butter sauce. My mouth is watering thinking of it. As a solo dinner the friendly bartender made me feel comfortable. Highly recommend!

Welcoming at White Oak

By Ilikefinefood |

White Oak has a great vibe & welcoming environment designed for adults looking for good food and a casual dress code. The menu is fresh & tight coupled with tasty craft cocktails and friendly service. The desert menu was legit with house made fresh treats and the prices were reasonable. A recommend for sure ~ 4 stars because those carrots are not cooked right and are hard as rocks... needed a steak knife to cut those orange spears to bite size pieces.

You can find better for the price

By Bestboy12 |

The food was good but about 30% more expensive than other great restaurants in ATL. As others have mentioned we had multiple servers with no explanation. Not bad but just odd. Everything was "good" but not worth $250 for three people.

So nice, we ate here twice!

By ItalophileTrav |

During a convention stay at the Hyatt Regency in Atlanta, we found this gem across the street. Our first visit was for lunch (can you say, BLT deviled eggs?) and we enjoyed fresh salads and appetizers. We liked it so much that we returned for dinner the next evening. This time, our food experience was fine, but our service experience was a bit lacking due to an inattentive waitress. This can be considered a "small menu," so some in our party struggled a bit to find something they could appreciated, but all in all, everyone was happy with their choices.

Wonderful Food with Awesome Service

By Rick L |

We were greeted by the manager who was friendly and inviting. She sat us at a comfortable table where we met our two servers. Typical and genuine southern hospitality was on display as we truly enjoyed our cocktails and meals. Too full, afterward, to partake if some yummy looking desserts. Next time we’re in town, we wouldn’t hesitate to return.

service average food good

By WiTriguy |

the food was good but was disappointed with the service, took forever to be served a drink the servers that filled the water and delivered the food were the best...i wanted to leave my tip just for them!

Different but Good

By Drew Fellers |

I stopped in this place because I was hungry and tired of walking all over downtown on some business related ventures. When I walked in I thought I was a bit underdressed but the staff seated me with no problems and they were extremely pleasant. I sat down next to the window looking out at downtown Atlanta and had no clue on what I wanted to eat. As the waitress approached me I told her that I would love a nice beer but I have the slightest idea on what to order. She make an excellent choice for me regarding the beer and I was going to live on the wild side for food. When she came back with my Adult beverage, I ordered the Octopus... YES! I said octopus and sautéed mushrooms. The food was fantastic and since this was my first time having octopus, I’m certainly glad I was here to have to because it was phenomenal. I wanted to order the entire meal all over again but as my mother used to say, “Don’t let your eye be bigger than your stomach! So I chose another adult beverage to wash it all down! The staff was truly amazing. One of the things that I enjoyed was that the staff didn’t care what area of the restaurant you sit in because they all attack the table to keep it clean, ensure you are okay and to keep your drinks topped off should you need. I know I’m not the only one but I can’t stand when I need something and the waiter/waitress can’t be found! Not a problem at White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails. They certainly know how to treat you. If you ever get a chance to hang out in Atlanta, you need to stop by and pay them a visit and when you do tell’em Drew sent ya! Y’all be easy now! Drew✌🏾

Food is great; staff isn't though

By Courtney K |

I came here on a Saturday night with my husband two other couples to celebrate a friend's birthday. We had reservations and were quickly seated. As soon as we sat down and before we could even pick up our menus, a waitress came by to ask for our drink orders. We asked for a few more minutes. She then hovered around the table waiting for us to pick out our drinks. As we said our hellos and browsed the menu a male waiter came over a said loudly "okay let's get your drinks orders so we can get started." It was akward and we felt rushed. (mind you there were multiple empty tables around us so it wasn't like the ten minutes we'd taken to order drinks was stopping anyone from getting a table.) For the rest of the night this male server (didn't get his name because he didn't so much as introduce himself) continued to be incredibly rude. He didn't smile, he said things with an abrasive tone, and he acted as though we were annoyance; as if waiting on us wasn't his job. After ordering four appetizers, finishing them, and not seeing him for 45 minutes, we had to ask another server if we could finally place our meal orders. The manager (I think) came and took our orders. He was incredibly nice. The food was also very good, but will likely not come back due to service.

VERY Noisy but great place

By dcolburn |

I really liked this restaurant a lot. Nice and bright with lots of windows. Contemporary feel but with rustic tones in the decor. Server had a great personality but not in an over the top way. And service was good. We had chicken, trout, wok salad, deviled eggs, and beignets for desert. Nothing was disappointing accept the noise. It’s one of those places that is so loud, you practically have to yell at each other to have conversation. At least when the restaurant is full. We went back for lunch when it was not crowded and the noise level was fine. I would definitely return. All the food that was delivered around us also looked delicious. Good food reasonable prices (relatively)for a nice restaurant in downtown Atlanta.

Creative Southern Cuisine

By Larry B |

White Oak has a limited menu, but what I had was excellent. The branzino was cooked perfectly and paired nicely with corn succotash with pork belly lardons. The fried green tomatoes were layered with pimento cheese. The dessert was particularly creative - meyer lemon and rhubarb tart with arugula gelato. Service was very good.

Ok

By Britsky R |

Nice for date night. Cocktails great- food not so much. We had the pork belly appetizer. My hubby liked it but I was not so keen. I had the quinoa salad which was amazing however my hubby had the duck and that was very disappointing, not flavorful.. Also dessert chocolate tart wasn’t great. Overpriced for quality

Happy with our choice

By E_White176 |

We had just come from a cocktail party, so we didn’t sample much, but what we had was very good. I thoroughly enjoyed my Niçoise salad. My friends both ordered scallops, and were happy with them, too. Great restaurant option if your staying downtown.

Awful if you have a service dog

By Allison D |

I use a wheelchair and have a service dog. My husband and I had a reservation on 4/28/18. I wanted to sit outside but there were only high tables outside so I offered to sit inside. I didn't want them to have to bring a table outside as it was across two large rooms. As we were waiting and trying to figure out what was going on, the hostess came up to us and said that they could either seat us outside or inside in our own private room because it was "restaurant policy" to keep service dogs away from other guests. We both explained that their policy was illegal and that my dog is allowed anywhere I am (minus a few specific situations). The manager came over and reiterated that keeping my dog away from other patrons was policy. At that point, we left and ate somewhere else that welcomed my dog.

Excellent Meal and Lovely Atmosphere

By Terri_Ian116 |

When food looks wonderful and tastes better it is a real treat. We started with an appetizer of shrimp beignets that were not like what you get in New Orleans, this was a fritter like ball that was yummy to the tummy. But before our appetizer, unexpectedly we received a watermelon treat that was nicely presented and was fresh and tasty. For the entre we had the fried chicken. It was lightly coated and was a lot of food. The presentation was very pretty. The staff were very friendly and attentive. What a delightful experience.

Fabulous lunch experience

By CSmithATLGA |

Recently visited the restaurant while attending a conference at the hotel across the street. We had a party of six, were seated promptly and waiter remained attentive throughout the meal. Everyone loved their food, which arrived timely and piping hot. Would certainly return in the future.

Better options nearby

By Sparklytutu |

On a Saturday night we did not have to wait to be seated, but waited a very long time for service and then for our food. This is no reflection on our friendly and professional server Sean (sp?); we think both the back and the front was understaffed. My husband had the fried chicken. The outside was crispy, but the skin was not, which was off putting to him. The succotash with it was good. I had the scallops, which smelled fishy as my plate was set. Scallops, fresh or cooked, should never smell fishy. They tasted fine and the rice grits were good, although at room temperature. The scallops were warm and cooked to perfection. The portions were small, which we liked. We might have ordered desert if we had been pleased by our entrees. We will not go back.

Great Food - Top service

By Robert B |

Quick business lunch.. Our waiter was very friendly and offered excellent service. Food (supposedly southern comfort) was good (at least to me) interesting... All in all this is a good restaurant to have a lunch while in downtown Atlanta

Don't waste your time

By bcw7777 |

Stopped by this restaurant after the Falcons game. Should have realized when we were seated right away at 8:30pm on New Years Eve it was a sign of things to come. Service was good but our entree's took over an hour to arrive. I ordered the steak and for the 46.00 price tag I was expecting it to be excellent. Quite the opposite. Tough and lacked any flavor. My son had the chicken and waffles and it didn't look much better.

Excellent food nicely presented

By David K |

Directly across the street from the Hyatt Regency, this restaurant was a convenient place for us to have an early dinner after a long day of driving. The host seemed a bit flummoxed when we walked in without a reservation, but we were soon seated and had fine service from the wait staff. I had roast pork, fingerling potatoes, green beans and green tomato chow chow, all of which were wonderfully tasty. The place got progressively noisier as what looked like a group of conventioneers filled the tables around us. We came away nicely satisfied nonetheless.

Appalling Service

By MsBirb |

We waited two hours for our dinners before walking out. The manager said they'd somehow "lost" our table's orders. This despite walking right past us for over two hours. They didn't even bring bread. The appetizers were nice--all three of my half-dollar-sized shrimp beignets were fine. Too bad that was my entire meal.

Limited menu

By Dominique M |

This place looks really elegant and well appointed, and this is what attracted me at first. Another was that they had some unique items in the menu, if you are tired of the usual Southern offerings. These are the Duck Bolognese and the BH Ramen. I ordered the pasta and after 10 minutes, the server came back to apologize that they were having a menu change and no longer serving the pasta. I then ordered the ramen. A few minutes later, she came back again and said they were no longer serving that too. I asked if they had a copy of the new menu but they did not. Their website is not updated with the new menu either. So very misleading. Since these items were the only ones that were really unique and distinguished them from other restaurants, I left and did not end up eating there. Please update your menu and website.

Excellent location to people watch

By Dave M |

The White Oak is located at the corner of Baker and Peachtree in Atlanta. The food and service are fantastic. If there are tables available on the deck do yourself a favor and enjoy the people watching.

Expected more

By GROFREE |

Based one the previous trip advisor reviews, I expected more. Even with a reservation for 2 we were shown to a table for 4 that the host separated upon arrival. The next table for two that arrived was ushered in our direction, but then mid step I heard the host say let me give you this booth instead and showed them to aa booth that would comfortably seat 4. The restaurant was not crowded. I hate to always have to complain about the first table a host tries to seat us at. I think my husband enjoyed the trout. I order the fried chicken, totally out of character for me, but it was nothing to write home about. If I am in Atlanta again I would try someplace else.

Good for apps and drinks

By nwillis2 |

I'm going to warn you now, when you go to White Oak, brace yourself for slow service. I've had slow service, absolutely every single time I've been. The drinks and food are always good, especially the gin drinks and the appetizers, but it takes a while to get them, even when they are slow. I think it's because they do a "team-like" service where everyone helps a table, so no one really has the table, and they must pool tips, so no one is super incentivized to give great service. The drink I got was a Farmer's table this time, it was delicious, the candied ginger gave it an excellent touch. We got the deviled eggs and charcuterie plate as appetizers this time. The deviled eggs are always amazingly good. The charcuterie plate was really delicious also, especially the trout pâté or spread stuff. I would recommend coming to this place to pre-dinner drinks and appetizers only. Dinner usually takes forever and I typically prefer South City Kitchen or the Iberian Pig over White Oak.

Beautiful design aimed more for the Young Professionals

By Maureen O |

Was impressed with the design and lay out of the restaurant. However the main food menu left something to be desired. My husband could not find anything appealing to eat off the limited menu. We ended up eating off the bar menu. We had patty melts. They were good. Served on a bun instead of rye bread, not a whole lot of onions, but the meat was nice and flavorful. Tried their Collard Greens. They were just ok. We only had one cocktail a piece before and during dinner. We ended up going somewhere else afterwards for a night cap. It was pricy. The atmosphere was nice, the food was adequate. From my observations, and location it is more geared to attracting the young professionals in the area.

Upscale Southern Cuisine

By KJKNYC |

If you want to try a little high-end southern cooking I recommend this handsome, spacious, downtown restaurant. It is conveniently located right near the Americasmart. It is quiet enough to have a business meeting or a enjoy conversation with friends. We had the shrimp beignets to start. They were made of large pieces of fresh shrimp pleasantly fried. The order was large enough for three people to enjoy as an appetizer. My friend had a salad nicoise with lovely slices of seared tuna. I had two side dishes for my main course: Jerusalem artichokes with a maple glaze and cauliflower grits with mushrooms on top. They were both flavorful and filling. For dessert we had one of their homemade Bundt cakes. The raspberry / orange flavor was nice. It was sweet enough that I wanted a coffee with it. I will keep this on my Atlanta "where to bring clients for dinner" list. Glad we found it!

Ok but long wait

By Will1989 |

This restaurant was right across the street from our conference hotel. Since meals at the conference are ala carte, we decided to go here for lunch. Nice airy atmosphere, but everything else about this place was meh. We were seated at a high top and we got waited on in a reasonable amount of time, however it took entirely too long for us to get our food. There were too large parties but otherwise the restaurant looked empty. Very pricey for the food received.

Rude and completely intolerant and disrespectful of dietary restrictions.

By juli |

Waiter, Calvin, was rude and dismissive as soon as he heard that our party was gluten intolerant. He provided no help with the menu. He took the cocktail order for two members of our party and literally walked away as I was trying to order a glass of wine. When he returned, I ordered my wine and he tried to sell me an entire bottle. Apparently the restaurant has a problem with dietary restrictions. As we were unable to get any info from the waiter regarding gluten, I excused myself from the table and called the restaurant from the ladies room to try to get more information. I was told by the person who answered to “read the menu, it should be obvious.” Seriously. The waiter ignored us as to water refills, drink refills etc. I’ve been here several times prior to my gluten intolerance diagnosis and was looking forward to a nice dinner. All I got was attitude and apathy. My business takes me and my staff to Atlanta seven times a year. My clients are always asking us for restaurant recommendations. We will be sure to tell everyone who asks to avoid this place at all costs.

Limited Menu - Pricey Drinks...

By inthefareast |

Stopped in on a recommendation. Had a drink I asked for an Athena which they were out of stock ok the server suggests another sour beer it was fine. However, I didn't realize the beer he suggested was $21 dollars. I have no problem paying that if its something I wanted I though it was something close to my original beer purchase that was 7 bucks. Nearly 40 bucks for 2 drinks?? Once looking at the menu it said market price which if I was the server I would have informed the customer what that price was. We were planning on eating but the menu was so limited we decided to go elsewhere. The atmosphere was nice and balcony was perfect but overall disappointing experience.

Terrific food and excellent service

By UE_DC64 |

We came for dinner on a Saturday. Surprisingly few people. We had beignets, charcuterie platter, and deviled eggs as starters and braised short ribs and scallops as main courses. The charcuterie platter was quite generous though I would have liked a a few different types of meat. The beignets were stunningly wonderful. The braised ribs were perfectly cooked to and quite generously sized. Our server was helpful and friendly, we really liked this place and will return.

Local flavors and good bartending

By GSMIII |

Had a large business dinner here. Staff were very well-trained and the bartenders poured a nice drink. Food had local flavor and was very tasty. Would go back to see the entire menu

Nice place, good food, fancy but poor mimosa

By AnnaHZ |

We walked in for a lunch Sunday afternoon and wait only couple of minutes for a table outside. While waiting we noticed a small nice self-service bar, where you can mix and garnish your Bloody Mary yourself. That was catchy! We found out, that they have another one for Mimosas, so I decided on Mimosa and my husband for Bloody Mary. And food of course :-) The Bloody Mary bar was rich - you have different condiments, olives, small tomatoes, celery... Unfortunately the Mimosa bar was disappointingly poor - just orange juice, peach nectar and strawberry sirup. I expected some fresh fruits too. Food was good, especially gazpacho, and service was average.

Loved this Place

By rondaholler |

This was across the hotel where I was staying. Went for lunch while attending a conference. The service was slow and had difficulty getting me out in time. However, the food was fantastic! I have the friend chicken, deviled eggs, potatoes. I loved the big open windows where you can watch the world go by. The staff was friendly. They knew the menu well. Place was clean. The restrooms were nice. Would eat there again!

Southern Gem

By LaLaOntheRoad |

Came across this restaurant in downtown Atlanta by accident. Great little find. Offers a great option of southern cooking in the heart of Atlanta. The staff is fantastic and truly happy to work at their establishment. The food was great. The Deviled eggs are a must we loved so much we ordered another round. The only fault of the place is its high ceilings which creates an echo of noise if there are larger groups.

Girl’s Lunch

By kjones715 |

The food was very good and the service was fantastic. I also highly recommend the Jolene cocktail, so delicious. We will definitely be back when we get back to Atlanta.

Pleasant setting; modest menu

By too_few_trips_1 |

We had a pleasant dinner at White Oak Kitchen. The menu is modest, so even with a group of four there was some repetition. The setting is dramatic -- tall ceilings and a view of office buildings. Unlike some of the other reviewers, our service was fine. That said, we were there on a Friday and the restaurant was not too crowded. The bar seemed to be doing better.

They should have warned us.....

By matissegirl |

Last Saturday, while in town for the Washington Auburn football game, we dined at White Oak. I had made reservations about a week and advance based on reviews of the restaurant. We walked from our hotel near the CNN Center over to the restaurant. Unbeknownst to us, there was a massive convention called Dragon con going on in downtown Atlanta at the same time. We had to fight our way through thousands of people watching a parade to find our way to the restaurant. Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were told by a security person that we had to walk back around to another entrance of the building despite having a reservation. We waited almost 45 minutes to be served. We were told it will just be 15 more minutes for our table by three different hostesses. Finally, the manager took us to a table where we waited for about 10 minutes for our drink orders. The menu last weekend was limited but they did have a $30 buffet. I ordered a salad off the limited menu – the salad took quite a while to prepare and was not quite what the description was on the menu. We were rushed through lunch so that they could get to all the folks who had reservations for the buffet. The restaurant was clearly in disorder. We were very disappointed. A simple phone call from the restaurant with a heads up letting us know about the convention would have very much been appreciated. It was clear they were not expecting typical lunch diners that day. Had we known about the limited menu or the exorbitant $30 buffet, we would’ve died elsewhere and not have fought the crowds at the parade. Very disappointed.

Slow service

By Laurie V |

Our group of friends dined outside on a beautiful Friday night. Our 1st night in town for a convention and high hopes for a great evening to kick things off. Well we waited over an hour to get our cocktails. There were mistakes with our dinner order and one dish was over cooked. Overall the food was delicious but pricey. The service was incredibly slow as we were there over 3 hours. One thing for sure... the water service is top notch. If only the bar service was as attentive and attention to detail.

A Feast for the Senses

By Donald G |

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and a cozy ambiance. The menu offers an array of flavorful dishes, each presented beautifully. The service was impeccable, and the staff made sure we were well taken care of. We can't wait to come back!

An adventurous impromptu outing

By TZoro1 |

A friend/colleague found this lovely joint. Very good food choices, very quick turnaround of orders and outstanding service by Farai(hope this is the correct spelling of his name). The cocktail menu is also very impressive!

Three Times In Five Days

By Steve B |

This place was so good that I visited three times in five days whilst on a business trip to Atlanta. Staying at the Hyatt Atlanta then White Oak Kitchen is just across the road. First evening there with clients I had the BBQ Pork. I was going to choose the fish but our server Rachel talked the table through the menu and that talk caused me to change my mind, and I'm glad I did. Everyone on my table enjoyed their food. Service was slow but with a convention at the Hyatt the place was very busy. We didn't mind, Rachel and the other staff who attended our table apologised and at the end of the evening they adjusted our bill to reflect the fact that we had experienced slow service - that is great customer service. I ended up eating at White Oak the following evening, lamb was delicious, and then again the day after for lunch with a client. All in all really good food, great service and it's a cool restaurant.

Amazing drinks and dinner!

By lisaterry7 |

We enjoyed our dinner at White Oak. It's decorated beautifully, they have a fantastic selection of unique drinks, and a great new southern menu. We loved the Rose 75, Blackberry Sage Old-Fashioned, and Moonshine Margarita. The Fried Green Tomatoes and Beignets were delicious. We would definitely return!

Very filling food

By EnjoyingTheWorld7 |

As a vegetarian, I was very worried looking at the menu but there were some options. I ended up having a salad and Mac and cheese. The salad was really good! As it got busy, it got loud but was a fun place.

We were hustled out the door

By Lori M |

I visited this restaurant with two colleagues while in Atlanta for a trade show. We had a 6:00 pm reservation. We arrived a little early at 5:50 and were promptly seated. Our waiter was excelllent. Service was excellent. Our food was delicious. After the meal, we paid our bill and were finishing our cocktails chatting, when the manager came over and told us that he had other reservations for the table and he basically asked us to leave. We were dumbfounded. Understand that we were not loud or obnoxious. We were three tired women sipping the last of our drink. Add to that, we hadn’t been sitting there for more than five minutes after paying the bill And worst of all it was 6:45. We hadn’t been in the restaurant for an hour. I’m still in shock because apart from the total unprofessionalism of the manager, the restaurant was great. But I’d never go back.

Delicious Modern Southern near Convention Hotels

By Chester0 |

White Oak Kitchen is just what I was looking for: modern southern cooking and a craft cocktail within walking distance of my convention hotel. Friendly service and a beautiful space - high-ceiling, light wood and glass, with some outdoor seating available. The cocktail list is limited, but varied; they also have a nice wine list. The food was excellent - I had deviled eggs (don't forget to tell them to hold the bacon if you don't want it), then trout for an entree. I didn't have room for dessert, but they sounded good. Food like this is not "cheap", but I thought it was well worth the price.

WOCK a Disappointment!

By atlfoodie2016 |

Took my besties to White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails in downtown Atlanta for a BIG birthday celebration. Server could not seem to find our reservation - in which I let them know it was a special occasion - celebrating a momentous birthday. Plus, it was a girls reunion with some driving from both FL and SC. We had an early reservation at 5:45 since we were attending a concert afterwards. She just waved us off since there were plenty of seats available at this time. Our server was attentive and courteous but we were unable to order a couple of wines on the menu (our faves) as they were out. This seems to happen a lot in upscale ATL eateries - you restaurants need to get it together as most foodies such as myself also read the wine list when selecting a spot to dine! The food was mediocre at best and we were all underwhelmed with our dishes. I will say the atmosphere was nice and the bar was pretty cool but I would not go back for dinner. This is a just a drinks kinda place where you meet before dinner or a concert, etc. in the downtown area. Unless you like basic food.

My wife and I sat at the bar and had great service from Reggie. We ordered several apps (pimento cheese and incredible baked oysters) good atmosphere and our entrees were very good as well. Rockfish and the Scallops. Highly recommend and will be back!

Trendy look comes at a price, meal only ok

By ATX_Tips |

This is a great looking restaurant and plated food. Service was friendly. For the price and moderate portion size though, I was hoping for a bit more flavor and pheasant meat that wasn’t super dry. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing on the wrong day as this would usually be the type of place I’d really like. If they have discounts on appetizers it could be a good place for happy hour, if not then then still a good place, just a bit pricey.

smart choise

By A R |

it looked average, but there was so much passion in the team, go there an enjoy the same great evening than we did today. many thanks for good food great wine and brilliant service. You made me a wonderful birthday evening.

Such a great place for dinner and drinks

By Darren J |

Such a great place for dinner and drinks. Food is high quality and the staff are extremely friendly and professional. Definitely a place to go to if you’re downtown Atlanta. Sheka and Bridgette are the best servers. They helped make it an amazing experience.

Yummy but slow

By SaraS |

It was delicious. It did take time so don't be in a rush. It was worth it! The cornbread and berry jam was delicious. The okra and stewed tomatoes were very tasty!

Disappointed

By Darren H |

From the filthy table top to the bland fish, the tough duck, the lack of gf options, the indifferent service and the meager portions white oak has gone from great to mediocre. We spent $34 each before tip (no app, no salad, no drinks, no dessert). We left hungry. Wokc used to be our goto for a great meal every Dragoncon. Now it’s just over priced. They don’t even have bread service anymore. (My wife used to love their bread service).

Great place to hand

By richard_traveler |

This is my kind of place. Chic, but not too stuffy. Good menu. Very nice outdoor seating area. Wait staff and bartenders very cool and good service.

Microscopic Georgia Shrimp Dish

By FluxCapacitor82 |

The atmosphere and location of White Oak Kitchen and Cocktails is excellent and the cocktail I had was great. However, if you are hungry, do not by any means order the Georgia Shrimp. You get about five regular-sized shrimp on a small pile of tasty grits, while everyone around you will have a large plate full of food - you'll be finished eating well-before everyone else in your party is half-finished - eat slow. The Georgia Shrimp is an appetizer at best and should not be an entree.

Wonderful service and food

By leigha142019 |

So happy this restaurant was across the street from the Hyatt where we stayed. The Hyatt restaurant was always closed. The service was outstanding. We had lunch here then a large group for dinner. The special cocktails where Devine. The manager was kindness to make it work for our large group on the 4th of July. I highly recommend the trout and the steak. The room was light and airy felling. On the modern side.

Good cocktails

By Travelbug0082 |

Was conducive for drinks and chat as well as group dinner due to its pleasant layout with large windows and the light was still streaming through at 8pm. They have interesting cocktails and are generous with the alcohol. I had the fried chicken with delicious cornbread. Just across the road from hotel I was staying, it was a nice spot for a meal after a long day of meetings.

Rushed poor service, no NA drink options

By Liz E |

Rushed, poor service on an empty, early Tuesday evening. No offer to take drinks (we had to ask to order drinks). Lack of knowledge about what was on the drink menu and when asked if there were any non-alcoholic options, a confused expression with a slow “nooo…” was returned. (No NA wine or beer - not even the bottom of the bucket standards of O’Doul’s or Heineken 0.0). For a place with “cocktails” in their name, there was solitary “mocktail” offering on the menu and no offer to serve anything else sans the booze. We managed to order one appetizer before the server ran off without even taking a moment to see what other appetizers we might have wanted. When the server returned we were rushed to order the rest of the food - including the two other appetizers and the main dishes. Less than 10 minutes later ALL the food showed up at once - apps and mains. And no offer to refill drinks. Finally, even as one member of our party was literally still eating - since he ate his appetizer and then was working on his now-cold main dish that had been sitting at the table - the server was grabbing dishes and asking if we wanted the check. At which point I finally asked (looking around a still mostly empty dining room) if we needed to leave the table? “Oh, no. uh” and then dropped the check and disappeared. The food sadly was actually good, however for a $140 meal, being rushed out in less than 40mins soured the taste of any great dish.

Red beans and rice, wow!

By diva3713 |

Met with friends and colleagues for drinks and dinner on a Thursday night. We first met in the bar for drinks and found the atmosphere there to be comfortable with good lighting and appetizer options. During the evening, we had a great time and were impressed with both the bar and table staff. They made moving from the bar to a table easy and uncomplicated. When a member of our party had to leave early it was easy to get food items to go. I would definitely recommend this to friends or fellow business travelers.

Business reception followed by business dinner

The staff were outstanding from the time we entered restaurant. Service was absolutely terrific and the food was excellent. We will be back to this restaurant soon.

Not Bad

By Sliphorn |

This is a place I would like to rate as five stars. There are a couple things that keep me from doing this. The waitress was not attentive enough and, once, I asked for some bread to sop up the bouliabasse sauce and she brought a couple of rolls long after the bowl had been cleared. A stew like this needs bread to soak up the juices. The bouliabasse was not bad, but was very small for the price. There were two enormous prawns with heads on. These required some hands on, which I did not want to have to do. The stew part was very small, and more of a sauce than a fish stew. It was not bad experience, but was not worthy of five stars this time.

Quick but tasty

Nice lunch between working sessions. Service was quick and excellent. Food was tasty and filling. Priced right.

White Oak stand out in the field!

By mcdedrick |

We recently fined here for lunch after a morning at the aquarium. We were able to get a same day reservation with fairly short notice through Open Table. It was hot out and it felt so nice just to walk into the restaurant. It’s a very nice space, super high ceilings, lots of wood with an industrial chic undercurrent. We were seated promptly in a very comfortable booth and before we knew it we had an order of deviled eggs and cocktails in front of us. The eggs were great. Large and a bit mustard-y in a good way, and perfect to share. Two halves for each. Lunch was Scallops and a Niçoise salad. Both perfect. Bathrooms get the seal of approval as well. Overall a great experience. Their bar area looked fun too. Would like to try it for happy hour someday.

Exceptional

Started with cocktails in the bar lounge are before going to the dining room. Resposado Old Fashioned was perfect. Once seated we shared the octopus, grits, beet salad, bread service and shrimp beignets. All appetizers we amazing and perfectly presented. My entree a NY Strip prepared medium and was the best!! Justin our server was exceptional

What to order? Everything

By sheldn |

The menu was interesting and provided many pairings that need to be tasted. Wow! Dessert was equally as good. Three of us had the Devils, Beignets, Apples & Frisee salad, Poussin, and Duck. Dessert was cheesecake and Rhubarb and Meyers Lemon tart with Arugula ice cream. Wow!

Great Business Dinner

By Jennifer S |

Ate here w/ a group during a conference. This place is huge & they have rooms to accommodate groups. We had a set menu w/ choices for entrees. Salad as appetizer & Chocolate mousse for dessert. I had the pork chop, which was excellent! Service was very good even though our group was large. Would definitely eat here again.

Great atmosphere, amazing presentation

What a great find! The staff were extremely friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. The food was beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The decor is rustic but stylish, clean and delightful bathrooms.

Different restaurant

By Andy R |

A group of us when to WOKC after work for food and cocktails. The seating is very modern-style and chic with a huge bar area. The food is between good and average and there is a great drink selection. Drinks are a bit pricey, but it keeps a good higher end crowd. Staff is hit or miss, some are great and some are not.

Excellent Service

By Allison G |

Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the menu and actually stayed to talk us though our drink and food decisions. The pork shank might be the best dish I've ever had at a restaurant. All for a reasonable price. The bar also has really cool decor. Love the lamps around the bar with old telephone pole insulators (I have family in the electric business.) I would highly recommend.

Best Burger Ever - Really!

By Tom O |

I was early to a reception at the Hyatt Regency so I ran across Peachtree street to see if the White Oak Kitchen served burgers. The manager told me they had a "Very Good" burger. I was in a hurry so I sat at the bar. The bartender said, "It is the best burger you have ever had." So, now I am expecting to be let down. I was not disappointed. I was blown away. This was, by far, the best burger I have had in my 59 years of eating. It was close to the best beef I have ever eaten. White Oak's menu describes it like this: "Wagyu Beef, Double Patty, Carmelized Onion, American Cheese, Duke's Mayo, Lettuce". It comes with house made fries. I am gluten free so I ordered my burger without a bun. Next time I am in town I will try it without cheese. PS, the bartender said the chicken is excellent also.

Loved the cocktails

By mschr |

Went due to the location close to my hotel. Glad I did. Dined at the bar and had a great experience. The cocktails are excellent. Surprisingly little wait for the food that similarly was excellent. Had a trout that was perfectly cooked. Absolutely recommended.

Nice experience

A short walk from downtown hotel. Stopped in for dinner. Description on menu exceeded actual taste. Nice atmosphere. Great service. Meal was just ok. Would give a second chance.

Great food, great service...but

By CONNIE B |

We were there after just getting in from Michigan and they didn’t blink an eye about our travel jeans attire. The place is really cool! Really high ceilings and modern feel. A couple of things though. We had 4 or 5 different servers and never saw the same person twice. We thought it was kinda weird and messed with the continuity of the service but everyone was extremely nice and knew the menu. We ordered the short rib-WOW delicious. We ordered the beignets and the outside was slightly burnt and inside was slightly undercooked so the oil was probably too hot. Otherwise ok. We ordered a side of the oven roasted carrots to come out with the short ribs but they came after all our plates were cleared and were raw but smoked...very off putting for us and we didn’t eat them. The server offered to take it off but my husband said no. Also the cocktails we both had were outstanding! I had the old fashioned with sage and he had a “a farmer’s gin” cocktail. Yum!! We are going back tonight for more cocktails 😬👍

Excellent southern cooking with a high-end flare

By Expert Traveler |

I enjoyed my experience. The ambience is nice and our server was excellent. He was so attentive and very good. The fried chicken was incredible, although it was a bit too peppery. I liked the okra and the deviled eggs were very unique on the menu. The trout was delightful as well.

Nice surprise across the street from my hotel...

By J.C. C |

One of my newest favorite eatery and drinking establishment. Had dinner and drinks with some old and new friends here. They make a great Old Fashioned and the missus has a new favorite, the Hillbilly Margarita. Starters, mains and desserts are all first rate. Wish I'd taken a snap of dinner to remember all the things we ate. Oh well, that's what a few Old Fashions do to me. A great time was had by all in this Moderne styled establishment. Highly recommended when in downtown 'lanta.

Blown away past expectations

By rgbeard |

I can’t say enough good about WOKC. Everything begins with and centers around our waiter, Josh. His customer-centric focus and eagerness to please was an incredible breath of fresh air. Josh made certain our wines were perfect, our food even moreso, and was happy to recommend what was good and warn against what was not the best at the moment. Their appetizer menu is really incredible and you can easily make that the evening meal if you are so inclined. Excellent wine list, great mixed drinks and one of the best spirits list I have seen in a long, long time! Thanks so much for a wonderful experience!

Everything was amazing. Our

By bigeherr |

Everything was amazing. Our waiter, can’t remember his name was fantastic. Never had to wait for anything. Very attentive and personable. Drinks and dinner were both superb. I had the rib eye. Was not cooked med rare so I sent it back then first time. Waiter and manager were apologetic and offered a free drink. 2nd time it Came back perfect. Wife had scallops and they were delicious also. Will come back here soon!

Great restaurant

By rockman2015 |

I was in Atlanta for a conference and our CPA firm took me and a couple other clients here for dinner. The octopus appetizer was delicious, we had some other appetizers but that is the only one that stood out. I had the chicken and waffles with some bama sauce on the side. The waiter said they don't usually serve it with that, but it was a great complement to the dish. The one downer was that I had to order three different beers before I hit on one that they actually had on hand. The same thing happened with some other people in our party for both beer and whiskey. It is easy to have a big selection of beers and whiskey on your menu, if you are just listing them and do not actually have them on hand to serve.

Nice drink selection

By Doryv |

This place caught my eye because of the name. We went here for a late lunch/early dinner (3pm). The place was practically empty, which we liked. We ordered the beignets, fried chicken and the boulliabase. Beignets were ahhhmazingly good! Chicken a bit on the dry side, but the greens were really tasty. Also, it has a bit of a spicy kick, good flavor but can be a bit tiring after a while. The boilliabase was good, not full of flavor, but good. The best part was the two pieces of toasty white bread I got with my meal. Soaking them into my broth was the best! I needed more bread, though. They have a great selection of wines, mixed drinks, and beers. We aren’t huge alcoholic beverage drinkers, but I like having a selection to choose from for when I do want something. This place is expensive. We paid close to $100 for a meal for two. Our food was good but overly priced, in my opinion.

Little taste; little smiles

By S I |

My daughter had lunch there and said it was fantastic. Good food and great service. So, I went there that evening for dinner and had the complete opposite experience. I ordered the Kale salad. I think it may have been topped with canned chicken. My friend ordered soup and after serving the bowl was notified that they were out of bread. Both of us thought our meals were bland. I asked a question about the beers on tap and was met with a shoulder shrug. I am reminded to show patience as the service industry slowly rebounds from the past year.

Very unusual menu in a good way

By Sherry S |

Each of us ordered something different and each of us had a great meal. The menu is very original and tasty. Service was a little slow, but it was busy.

Excellent food but pricey

By Marlene K |

We had lunch at this restaurant. The service was excellent. I had the butternut squash soup and cauliflower grits. Both were excellent. My friend had the crab cakes, which were also excellent. A bit noisy for some reason but nice otherwise.

Good quality food and drink

By Squared22 |

Went here for lunch and dinner over a 2 day period. Lunch: it was a beautiful day and I sat outside (a rarity for me in the humid climate of Atlanta.) The atmosphere was nice because of the weather and the clean patio of the restaurant. I had the scallop appetizer which was marvelous because of the peach pieces. My server started off keeping me waiting for water and to order, but once i did, i found him a bit more friendly and attentive. Overall a pleasant experience. The next day I brought a group of 11 others from work. We had a nice time and the majority of the food was raved about. The fried chicken was excellent, as were the fried green tomatoes, and the chocolate dessert. I will say the food was mostly A+. A few of the dishes however, I'd rate a B. My fish dish was nicely cooked, but a little lackluster for example. the best part of the dish was the succotash, but when paying that much for fish, you want the fish to be the star of the show, but it wasn't. But overall, again, most folks loved their food and I would say that is accurate. In the beginning our service was prompt and attentive. Our server helped us to celebrate a special occasion and was very prompt to do so - and very friendly. However after ordering drinks.... you naturally expect things to take a little longer with a party of 12, but.... it then took FOREVER for everything. And we had to ask for everything - one of my pet peeves. It was annoying at first, but after we got our appetizers, then it got just too long to wait and was very disappointing. We probably waited 20+ minutes to get our entrees, we were neglected for reordering drinks and then another 20+ minutes at least to get our desserts. The whole ordeal lasted 4 HOURS! It only should have taken 2 to 2 1/2 hours, we were all more than ready to leave. The service totally declined due to how long they took. At the point when we first sat down the restaurant was pretty busy, but by the time we got our entrees it wasn't that busy any more so i'm not sure why the level of service slipped, but it definitely did. All of my guests started complaining about it too - embarrassing. I let our lead waiter know and he was gracious in hearing me out and did apologize. I appreciated that, but still it didn't change what happened. I would go back b/c of the food, but i'd probably go for lunch and i'd not take a group back again. just not worth the expense and time.

Yummy brunch

By E H |

White Oak was a lovely, airy space, great staff, yummy food, in the heart of downtown. I loved the Bacon Slab, corn bread and elderberry jam. Altogether, a good choice.

Good overpriced lunch

By A2345FUjohnl |

I stopped on for lunch after visiting the Aquarium I had the lamb burger which was very good, it was served with fries. It just didn't justify the $26.00 price

Fresh, local and creative

Sitting at the bar, I enjoyed an appetizer, a side and a cocktail -- all were well prepared and tasty. The crab cake was amazing.

Farmhouse Vibe; Southern Cuisine

By Sara G. |

White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails is located at the corner of Peachtree and Baker streets in downtown Atlanta. I've frequented this spot numerous times, especially when my main office was in Atlanta. It was conveniently located right across the street. They offer southern inspired cuisine. I love their salads. I had the Niçoise salad. The tuna was fantastic! Also, I had to get a side of fries. Crispy and delicious. The restaurant is huge, accommodating over 300 guests and featuring three different dining rooms. Inside, the décor incorporates white oak and repurposed wood, hence the name. The atmosphere is airy and farm house rustic. They have three signature chandeliers made of sugar maple from the Jack Daniels Distillery.

Noisy, but tasty food and great service

By ViktorTrue |

I enjoyed a dinner meal with a group of colleagues at the White Oak Kitchen while staying downtown in Atlanta. The use of wood as part of the decor is very well done and the restaurant has a nice view of downtown from large windows on one side. Service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean. My New York strip was cooked perfectly and the vegetables that came with it were great. I would rate a five, but the acoustics in the restaurant make it really loud when it gets full. If you like a lively place with great food and service, then this would likely be a place for you. If you're heading into the men's restroom, be careful when washing your hands as the faucets are set to spray instead of steam and you will get your sleeves wet if the water is turned on more than about halfway.

Not worth a return visit

By kellandrich |

Nice atmosphere but restaurant was super cold and had to ask them to turn on the heat as it was 25 degrees outside. The server was nice but highly inexperienced. Fried chicken was terrible and had to be sent back due to still be undercooked and raw in the middle. Cabbage was hard as rock, like they took it out the frig and just microwaved it. Spare ribs were over cooked and dry. Fried green tomatoes were about the only good thing that we had. Unfortunate for a place with such ambiance. Be very careful leaving the restaurant and don’t leave anything in your car. Multiple assaults and break ins around that area.

Wonderful Eclectic Dining Experience in the Heart of It All

By Martin H |

My wife and I found White Oak while strolling around the city one evening searching for a restaurant with available seating as we were in town for a convention and didn't realize how important reservations were in the area. We were treated great by the friendly, professional staff. The cocktails were amazing as was the food (I had a sort of meat and cheese board appetizer which was enough food for at least two people!). The views and the decor are also terrific and add to the dining and conversation. My only knock on the place was that when I asked about gelato flavors that evening they said that they had rosemary. And so I ordered that but was brought something else instead. It took three different people over the space of at least 20 minutes to get it sorted out and finally tell me that they had incorrectly offered me the wrong flavor. This could have been avoided and the slight mark against my experience there simply by sorting it out quickly and apologizing about it. Otherwise, truly great experience.

Fried Chicken, Grits & Collard Greens!!!

By The2TravelingFools |

Never thought I'd being singing the praises of grits as past experience has been less than exciting. Same with the greens. However, the fried chicken, grits & greens were excellent. The burger was also delicious were the shrimp beignets. Most helpful staff. Ate their twice during recent conference.

Always great food and service

By C2761YSrichard |

We eat at White Oak quite often when in town at Americasmart for buying trips and the atmosphere is very relaxing and modern, food is refined and delicious, and hand crafted cocktails are great. Reservations are a must during trade shows and markets as they are typically very busy and popular.

Exceptional place!

By Terry W |

The food was fantastic! The service was above and beyond. Would recommend for a business meeting, a family lunch, or a romantic dinner.

Fried chicken~ wow!

By Lindesay3 |

Stumbled upon this place only because it was freezing cold/ wind chill 19 degrees outside and it was directly across from our hotel. We were not dressed to walk any further in the cold. The three of us reviewed the menu and all three of us surprisingly settled on the same thing, the fried chicken, grits and greens. I substituted mushrooms for greens. Once the meals came, our whole conversation shifted to just how delicious that chicken was. We were all so happily surprised! Our waiter Keenan was very attentive. Thank you White Oak Kitchen for an unexpectedly delicious meal!

Modern Look & Great Staff!

By William C |

This downtown restaurant offers an industrial loft look. The staff works as a team to ensure you are treated in a friendly and professional fashion. Our meals were very good - - - black sea bass and waffles/fried chicken. The restaurant could benefit by providing a more diverse dessert menu - - - brownies and cookies are fine for home but not when going out.

I'm so glad that we don't live nearby!

By _dcnn418 |

The warm bread, butter, and homemade jam for starters here are sooooo good! Totally irresistible, and if we lived nearby, we'd come here every day. Our dinners were good, too, although there was too much gravy on everything (but we're not from the South, so perhaps it was just our taste). The cake dessert was perfectly made, and if you like real buttercream you would like it but it's too rich for me.

Good Food But Lacking Outerwise

By onthegoTwainHarte |

We enjoyed the food very much! However, the service was very lacking. We ordered starter first and then made a decision on entrees a little later. The starter was completely forgotten so we reminded the staff. And to our surprise they then brought out the starter and our dinner all at the same time. Very disappointing and for the price unacceptable.

Nice Dinner

By SRXer |

We enjoyed our dinner. Had the flounder and salad. Flounder has fresh taste with really good seasoning. Salad also fresh. Ended up with cherry pie, although expected peach/ blackberry. Was made right though... with cookies as week. Service was good. Restaurant conveniently across from Hyatt

Not impressed

By lincatala |

I wanted to LoVe this place but not possible. The male host is unfriendly. The servers are not knowledgeable about the menu items and leave patrons without service for long periods of time. The deviled eggs were the best thing we had. The Poussin dish is mostly peas and the chicken and gnocchi lack flavor. The restaurant itself is beautiful and inviting, might be nice just for drinks at the bar.

Jeannette was the saving grace…

By dnail17 |

Nice atmosphere. Had fried green tomatoes, a salad and a cocktail. Interacted with 3 staff members: the host looked me up and down like I didn’t belong, was far from friendly and very aloof. He brought my food to me. I asked for silverware. He brought it to me and was just going to drop it off, had I not said, “Thank you, Sir.” He looked bothered. One bartender got water for me and was supposed to come back. Never did. Was not friendly, at all. Jeannette greeted me as soon as I got to the bar and was extremely friendly. She checked on me consistently and was very welcoming. She answered any questions I had about the menu, and was so pleasant. She was the ONLY reason that I didn’t get up and leave. If I go back, she is the only reason.

Excellent food

By PandoraSolara |

I've eaten here a couple of times with friends while I'm in Atlanta, the menu varies based on the availability of fresh ingredients and has been excellent every time I've been. The bar height metal chairs are very comfortable, but the staff are kind and attentive.

Excellent service and food

By Candleligh |

Ate here twice this week with my go to the swordfish served on a bed of collard greens. The best. Great cocktail menu try the blackberry sage old fashion had this both nights. Also very good the short ribs.

Pleasant evening event

By ILoveIreland2011 |

A vendor sponsored food and drinks at White Oak during a conference I attended in Atlanta. The food was good, the drinks were very good, and the wait staff was hustling. This was a good location with outdoor seating in a perfect downtown Atlanta spot!

Modern atmosphere and stellar service

By krnmsw |

Visited for board meeting dinner. The staff was so kind and welcoming, we felt like we were being welcomed into a friends home. I had the short ribs that were cooked perfectly with delicious sides. Don’t leave without getting the beignets- there were plenty to share and were delicious. I would recommended for a date night or a large group!

Fine food resturant

By 91amala |

I went there with a group for business dinner. Although it took a while to have dinner ready and the food was a bit cold when it came in, it was delicious. I had the trout and it was well cooked. My colleagues that had the chicken said it was dry and the vegetarian option didn't seem appetizing but I am judging on based on what I had. What impressed me the most was the wait staff; they were prompt, externally organized and served large group in an amazing orchestrated way.

Good

By Mike M |

The menu is a little limited, but the options are very good. The service was excellent. Grouper was my favorite , tasted the duck (thought it was slightly chewy) thought it was a little pricey for the quality

True freshness

By Tripking07 |

This restaurant was excellent but is not for everyone. We had a large party. The feedback was mixed. All thought 100% the food was outstanding, but the portions were too small for some. I thought it was precisely what one would eat. I had the trout and it was delectable. The menu is not pretentious, but the ambiance might be depending one your particular view. I found the menu and ambiance to be spot on. I would highly recommend, service was excellent. I would encourage those looking for big plates to go elsewhere, particularly if fresh, farm to table is not your persuasion. Highly recommend.
