Vegan Bi Bim Bap

By TravelFan48105 |

We decided to have a picnic at water's edge and watch the sun go down. Went to Whole Foods Market to pick up some tasty items. This is a very modern store with ready made food choices on the main level as well as in the basement level where the hot and cold food bars are located. We decided on the Korean area on the first floor and picked up a couple of bi bim bap rolls with tofu skins and some beverages. We consumed our items on benches in the park at the end of 6th St. The food was good but rather under-seasoned and I did not care for the sauce that came with it.

Instead of the price I love the Whole Foods Market. The organic products, the place, the different tipe of beers.

Fun to shop for groceries

By gogodiscover |

I really enjoy grocery shopping here. The is plenty of variety for everyone, from the health food guru to the beer enthusiast. I find myself discovering new delicious foods to try here, which is a very different experience than what I get from my local Keyfood. My personal favorite is their deli and prepared food section. A great alternative to take out for those who don't want to cook at home. Also, if you are into coffee, check out Blue Bottle Coffee around the block!

OMG AMAZING!

I hadn't seen a whole MARLIN in a grocery store before I visited here - everything you could possibly want in an amazing grocery store- loved it!

A place where you can eat Healty food

By Alessio M |

You can choice from many type of Organic food, starting from salad finish to sushi. The food is real fresh. The pizza is good and is cooked in wooden oven. You can eat the food in the room over stairs or take away. In the supermarket they don't sell Coke or other sugar addicted drink, but you can drink good wines and good organic beers. Till nine you can drink too coffee. Wifi is complimentary.

Great Selection of foods but take your ID if you want to buy alcohol!!!

By Julie M |

Shopped here quite a bit whilst in Williamsburg. Such a variety of food you'll be spoilt for choice! Beware though you need ID to purchase alcohol. My 54 year old OH was refused his beer stash because he didn't have ID at the checkout. He quite obviously looks older than 21 but still refused. Wasn't happy. There should be some discretion on this when the customer is OBVIOUSLY old enough to buy and consume alcohol. Need to get with it Wholefoods Brooklyn. Wholefoods near Times Square never batted an eyelid, never asked for ID when we shopped over there but he had his passport just in case. Consistency needed. That said a great shop.

Happy Hour Oyster Bar Worthy of Visitr

By healthyeater2013 |

Happened to see sign regarding buck a Oyster happy hour. I went back just for that. If you love like oysters, this is a must place to visit. The buck a Oyster was very good. Quite a bargain. Had 12 oystersr and 6 little neck clams. They were delicious. The bar has a reasonable beer wine hard cider selection and discounted during happy hour. Waiter was nice and good service. Will definitely return.

Enormous variety of Organic Foods, expensive, an experience and all with a bar inside

By Aussiepenguin11 |

WE accidently went food shopping here and walked away with a few staples and $161 US later..YIKES But it is great for self serve fresh salads, hot and cold, soups and quick affordable meals rather than eating at restaurants and cafes all the time. Check out the range, I was blown away by how much Organic stuff is available here from all over the world, but take your wallet.

A RETAIL HELLHOLE

By JRGNewYork |

QUITE SIMPLY, THIS STORE IS A HELLHOLE. It is understaffed by a motley crew of underpaid employees who have no experience in retail sales, and, more to the point, have been given no training in retail sales. They are inattentive, unknowledgeable, and often simply rude, treating their mostly millennial customers as an intrusion on their time. Or more to the point, a herd of cash cows. There is no one in charge on a managerial level, just an endless succession of here-today, gone-tomorrow minimal wage workers who have no idea of customer service. I've lived in the neighborhood since well before this branch of Whole Foods opened, and I've seen the change in the business since its purchase by Amazon in 2017. The change has been enormous, and it's all bad.

Best stop

When you need to shop and want the best experience go to any Whole Foods !!! The quality is excellent, the variety is great and the environment is the best!!!! Not a regular supermarket.....a whole new experience!!!!!!

Tasty and at reasonable price

We love Whole Foods. In pricey NY it's a great choice to spend a bit less money. Instead you get great taste and quality. And you save time too. I can mention kind staff and clean restrooms.

Surly employees - Not worth the aggravation

By Bagherailcane |

I spend a few months a year in NY and so I visit Whole Foods Williamsburg on average 3 - 4 times a week during that time. I often leave in a bad mood because of the attitude of the employees. While some of the people at check out are extremely nice and will put you in a good mood - others - and there are many - will talk among themselves and not even acknowledge that you are there - no hello, no thank you and no goodbye. Yesterday when I was there the cash person refused to put my things in the bag and just looked at the ceiling!!! There is also a problem with the shopping carts. We're in NY City - not in the suburbs. We don't need all of those large carts - of which there are always dozens! We need the small carts!! The small carts go fast - but there are many more of the big ones. And they are not replenished quickly enough. Today I had to take a big cart. I was going in the same direction as everyone (from vegetables towards the fish), but several employees came in the wrong direction so I had to wait for them to pass. Not a word of thank you. Then another employee comes with a cart from way behind but wants to pass before me. After letting several people go before me I moved ahead before he got there. He made a face at me and didn't say a word. I've never see this sort of attitude by employees at a supermarket. The person in front of me pushed her cart very hard into the cart-escalator so it stopped. There was an employee right there. Without saying a word to all of the customers who were waiting she punched in her employee number and tried to make it move again. It wouldn't. So she just left. Not a word to the people waiting!!! Was she going to get help? Would it just be a minute? Nothing. Let me add to the problems... Today the herb section was almost empty. I can understand one or two herbs missing, but there were hardly any left. Bad stocking. I usually buy pre-cut fruit. Very often this Whole Foods will have non-ripe fruit in the container. Why do they do that? When the employee sees the fruit is hard and not ripe - why include it in the container? I must say I never have that problem with Brooklyn Harvest down the street. I've had it with the surly employees in this store. If there's not a specific product I need from Whole Foods I'm no longer going there and will go to Brooklyn Harvest on Kent. It's just not worth the aggravation of having to deal with bad tempered people when shopping and leaving the store in a bad mood.

High End Groceries

By Thomas V |

An expensive grocery store with products of good quality. Lots of prepared foods and a modest place to sit and eat.

Amazing

By VMLopes |

Inreally like the all whole foods units but I’d say this one from Broklin exceed my expectation. All food was really fresh and with a lot of options. Quality I think everyone knows: the best.
