Had 30 min before flite and had shrimp tempura udon, glass of wine from a nice wine list and 2 sushi rolls made and packed for me to go. Service quick- udon portion relatively small but delicious. The sushi was fresh, some unique rolls amongst traditional choices- a great choice for the airport- enjoyed sitting at the bar- tables and seats spread apart enough to be able to not feel cramped

Very good food. Portion size was similar to any sushi restaurant. Service was fast and friendly. menu was diverse.

Departed out of E-1 and had a little time on my hands AND a hunger, so I stopped in for some Sushi. I've eaten here a few times and have never been dissatisfied. Tonight was no different. I ordered Edamame and a Spicy Tuna Roll with a Saporro. Everything came quickly and services CR was friendly. My only complaint was that I prefer my Edamame a little warm and they serve it really cool, if not "cold". Though I'd ask them to heat it up, but passed on it. Also, it was a little under-seasoned, but some folks may like it that way. Sushi was really good, but could have been a little spicier for my taste. Anyway, I travel to the west coast and get a little spoiled with the variety there. All that said, I am happy with Wicker Park and will stop in again when I'm in the E with some time on my hands.

Trying to work between flights and forced to sit at the bar. Requested a table and told they were closing. It was 8:30pm. Customer service is important, I hope I can enjoy this restaurant one day at a full table.

I had a 2 hour layover at O'Hare and went straight to Wicker Park as soon as I landed at the airport. I have a habit of researching airport restaurants and shopping amenities and given the time constraint, Wicker Park seemed to be the best place to spend my limited time. As soon as I sat down, I was treated like a queen. The waiter had impeccable manners and treated me with the utmost politeness. Ordered green tea which was refilled multiple times and a caterpillar roll which tasted surprisingly good for an airport restaurant.

This made the short layover in O'hare so much better. We had a long drive to get here and this made the long wait for lunch forgettable. The sushi was great and there were cooked options that pleased my wife very much. The contemporary layout of the entire space is attractive and efficient. We will remember this one for the next trip!

Had a simple salmon roll with sesame seeds. Fresh fish and wasabi. Friendly waitress. It was nice they did not put sauce all over the sushi and drown the taste of the salmon.

Great option at O'hare for real and healthy food. Good food with regular service. Normally is pretty busy so you need to have time to visit it.

I thought I found a great restaurant option in O'Hare. A sushi restaurant that looked pretty good. While the service was great, unfortunately the food didn't match up. It really didn't look or taste that fresh.

So if you are hunkered down in the O hare Airport, the Wicker Park Sushi restaurant has good quality food at over priced rates. The Shrimp cocktail was crazy large portion and the spicy tuna roll was excellent. I just have a hard time justifying the prices charged for airport cuisine. Service at the bar was quick and good, servers are on top of it. Most other folks at the bar where also ordering sushi options and it is a popular spot.

Lots of people seated and with that number, the food must be pretty OK. Ordered Crunchy California roll, and tuna sashima, prompt service and most personable waitress. Fresh flavors although tuna had that watery taste as being once frozen and now on the thaw cycle. And the wasabi seem a bit tired and not the freshest. Overall just fine, spendy but like so many say, it is airport food and what to be expected. As just on the way back from Hong Kong, and supermarket freshness and pricing according I was a bit spoiled. But all fine and would stop again. Jim at Maplelag in Minnesota

Stopped in on a layover with medium expectations and was surprised how fresh the fish was, variety of rolls, and how good everything was. It is a bit pricey, but everything is in an airport - and good/fresh sushi isn't cheap anywhere you go. This place rivals some of the best spots I've been to in major cities. I'll be making this a frequent stop on subsequent visits.

Two hour layover and we dropped in for some great sushi. Sit at the bar with your back to the windows so that you can enjoy world-class people watching. The Tokyo Typhoon was a great refreshing drink. Spanish Dynomite roll and Crazy Fish roll were incredible. Highly recommended!!

Better than it sounds. The sushi was pretty good here. We had a Dragon Roll and a Hawaiian roll. Both were not too bad. It does have airport prices.

Looked nice and was close to where I needed to be so I checked the prices first as it is expensive but can be OK if one is careful about the plates you order

Very dirty place. The soy sauce bottle was disgusting with greasy fingerprints. Table was wiped down but still there was plenty of food on it. Took forever to get my drink and finally the server brought it out with the sushi. Sushi was sub-standard and didn’t seem/taste fresh. I won’t be back.

Ok - eating sushi at an airport is a gamble - but it was ok without winning prices. However the place was dirty, seating super slow, server spilled drinks on my wife and ...... but is was ok all in all.

It was a must-go place in Ohare airport for any sushi/sashimi lover. But it was very hard to find for a person like me who tries to find for the 1st time. Informartion about the restaurant and the directions from the information display was not sufficient enough to locate at one time efforts. I tried both sushi and sashimi and both were good and "fresh". It appears to be bit over priced, but it is a restaurant at the airport...I can't blame. Serving was fast and servers and pleasant to talk to. Will stop next time again as long as I have enouh time to hang out.

I was glad to find a different choice for food. Sushi was good not great. Scallop nigiri was very good but other 3 choices were average. Miso soup was good. Service was slow. Took awhile to be acknowledged and slow to check in on additional needs. I will probably try again with sufficient time before flight.

I love the food here. If it was only about the great food I would always review this place with Five Stars. But for what ever reason, they have the most unengaged, maybe even disgruntled people, who are working here. From the host(esse) who sits (They hate their job) you to the server who doesn’t want to work here, the service is beyond awful. Such a let down every time food 5 staff 0.

We had a short time to wait for our flight and this was a delighted place to wait and enjoy a great glass of wine and eat from the menu that offer a great variety choice. They were fast and accommodated our schedule, it was tasty and delicious.

What could be better than eating sushi in a busy airport terminal? Ok the atmosphere is like mine but this place is good for tasty sushi and more. I have always wanted to try Wicker Park but never had the time between late flights home. This time was different on way home from a business trip. I ordered the Spanish toll as my server Antonio said was spicy but not too. I loved it! Anyways this is a good spot for quick delicious seafood!

Wicker Park Sushi Bar is quite good! I mean "airport Food?" the food is always fresh high quality and just as good as most Sushi places you will find and better than the average bar. Sometimes the service suffers, not do to staff but the lack of staff. I can't imagine staffing this place 12/7 anyway, but they do their best, Just saying always plan a 2hr delay in O'Hare if you can so you can enjoy Wicker Park, you won't regret it.

Comfortable restaurant in Chicago International Airport-open concept - pleasant wait staff. Had the dynamite roll - it was very good! All dishes being served were pleasing to the eye. Fast service - important in an airport restaurant.

Overall better than most airport food. For being in the airport prices are reasonable. I ordered teishoku taki it was a sushi, roll and shrimp tempura. Had to have them remake tempura as it as cold and soggy. They gladly remade it for me

Freshly made sushi in a quiet spot of the airport. Not the best, not the worse food. Staff is indifferent and lots of menu items are not available

Surprisingly amazing sushi at O’Hare airport. Whenever I have a stopover at this airport, I make a point of coming to Wicker Park. You can sit at the bar and be served quickly. They have a nice selection of wine by the glass. Service is always professional.

My flight was cancelled the night before and I stayed overnight in Chicago. The next day when I arrived to the airport I decided to relax at Wicker Park because I loved how clean it was. I was not to be disappointed, as someone who is plant based finding good sushi that's not just avocado and cucumber rolls was exciting. The staff were attentive and the hot tea was divine. I will definitely stop by again when I am in Chicago.

During my flight delay at O’Hare I stopped into one of my favorite places in an airport, Wicker Park. It’s always the best!!! I had a great pinot noir and then had their fabulous Shrimp….they are so huge!!!!!! I had a couple of Wasabi sauces and a red sauce to dip them in. I also sat at the far end at a nice table and two easy chairs and got to use an electrical outlet, sort of hidden from the restaurant!! I stayed there quite awhile and the workers there were super to me. My server was Mari and she was really good!!!! She kept an eye on me and refilled my wines when I beckoned her. I could eat here every day of the year!!!!! Great airport restaurant!!!!!

Had some extra time to kill in O'Hare, and always had my eye on Wicker Park. I got the rainbow roll, and was really pleased! Definitely better than many places I've been.

This is a surprise restaurant along E gates in ORD Airport. They served real Japanese food at an affordable price. The location is just in front of all E gates. Fast service and nice staff!

With time to kill in O'Hare before our departure, we were looking for a dining experience rather than a grab and go lunch. Wicker Park Sushi worked out great. The menu was diverse. My side salad was full of fresh vegetables with a delicious sesame dressing, and the tempura roll was warm and tasty. My husband's chicken salad featured a hot and tender teriyaki fillet. The service was attentive without rushing us. This was a positive airport dining experience.

My daughter and I had a long-ish layover in O'hare in the middle of the afternoon and wanted something to eat. We found this sushi restaurant conveniently next to our gate and decided to get something to eat as we are big sushi fans. We had a relaxing and enjoyable time and the sushi was very good. We ordered 3 savory maki (rolls) and enjoyed them. We decided to finish with a "dessert sushi" called the Maui roll, with mango, papaya, pineapple and coconut. It was also nice, and the service was very good. It wasn't the cheapest of meals but we were glad to have eaten there and would do so again.

I was really impressed with the service and quality at wicker park sushi. My waitress was very courteous, attentive, and fast. The food tasted fresh and came out quickly. The price was high but who can blame them for exploiting a captive clientele. I think it was worth the dough. I’ll be back

Always good and always fast! Awesome rolls and excellent service. The dragon roll is always a good choice.

Great place. I always stop by while in transition and can swing by Terminal 2 at ORD. I always get the edamame, but why do they serve it cold? I prefer steam but then the rest of the experience makes up for it. the miso soup is delicious and the beer super cold. thank you for the attentive service!!

Given the fact that this is airport food it is quite a good option. I like the rainbow roll here. The service is fast and the sushi is generally fresh.

I found the sushi here to be just average. It was certainly not awful, but neither was it very special. It did not seem really fresh and subtly flavored. I tried it on two different occasions, and will not return for a third even when at the airport.

Best place for sushi when in O’Hare. I always make it a point to stop here if I have time. Always delicious

You know you are going to pay outrageous prices eating at O'Hare...Wicker Park does not disappoint there. Lunch for 2 was $96 ! However, the sushi was very fresh and delicious. The server was friendly, and we didn't feel rushed even though it was packed (ate around 1:00pm). For $60 this would get 5 stars, but even being in an airport - too pricy....

We have been to Wicker Park many times!...warm welcome...great food and drink but our server this time was Antonio!....simply wonderful and funny! Professional service and fresh sushi...dynamite roll...yummy! A lovely respite from hustle and bustle of O'Hare...thank you Antonio!...I hope you make it home in time to watch Perry Mason! 😉

Radomly stumbled on this spot on a layover between Madison and Toronto--I was starving, and sushi was just what I needed. I was immediately seated at the long sushi bar--they do have some tables, but if you're by yourself you get seated at the bar (which does not bother me at all). It was neat to sit at the bar, you could watch the chefs prepare the sushi. They had a decent drink menu, but I opted for San Pellagrino to stay hydrated while travelling. Sushi was rather good quality, and not too expensive--around $32 for me to have 3 rolls, a bevarage and tomago (egg custard). Plenty of fish and vegetarian options on the menu. It was served quickly too--good for hurried travellers. Going to try to catch this restaurant again if I'm in this terminal at O'Hare again!

I've always passed by the restaurant thinking I'm going to try it one day. I had some time today waiting for my connecting flight so I gave it a try. Sushi was horrible. The fish is dry (i.e. old) and the rice was too compact. I've not seen miso soup served with tempura crisps before, so that was a first. The server was super-friendly, which may have been the only redeeming quality to the restaurant, but she poured in soy sauce into my dish like it was tequila shot. I may try this place against have a drink, but I will definitely pass on the sushi.

Service is bad, food is bad for the price. Yes it is airport location, so i'd recommend stay away unless you really so crave for sushi at airport. Grab a sandwich or somewhere else would make your meal more comfortable and for the value.

We grabbed a quick dinner to go out of here and it was very decent sushi. I was impressed and if you're craving sushi, do stop here.

Good and fresh sushi in the airport. Would recommend as a healthy and tasty option for food. The prices are even comparable to sushi prices elsewhere in the city. The hamachi roll and Phili roll are great!

Ive eaten here twice as i fly through. Each time is yummy and satisfying. The selections of wine and beer are good and varied and for an airport, the food is good. We had sushi rolls and dessert, thoroughly filling with airport prices depleting the pocket. Both times the service was excellent, at the bar or a booth. Yum yumm!

Wicker Park Seafood & Sushi provides a deliciously light fare option in a sea of high price average fare at O’Hare. I paired my Yellowtail roll with a seaweed salad that was so refreshing for a hot day. So glad I grabbed some sushi! The staff is polite, attentive and quick! They know what you need on a reasonable layover!

Was a single traveler & sat the rail to people watch as I ordered my Tempura Shrimp Sushi Roll. Waiter ok but kept me waiting about 5 or 6 mins for a side of spicy mayo which seemed like an eternity to just sit and stare at my food. Mayo had chili flakes in it & was kinda lumpy. Shrimp was lightly fried and wasn't heavy but roll was kinda loose and easily feel apart. Was a decent but nothing special. My Arnold Palmer wasn't mixed so I had to stir it with my straw or else get a mouth full of straight booze. Ginger slices were "weak" or canned. I fly into O'Hare at least once a month and it's doubtful I will return.

I did eat at Wicker Park twice in 3 days!!! The first time I was disappointed as I order two Wasabi sauces for my shrimp and all they did was take one volume of sauce and put it in two containers…much to my dismay. I ate here again tonight and asked for two containers of Wasabi and I got it!!!!! My server was Mariyana and she was and has been a super-duper server!!! I got several pinots tonight along with my double order of shrimp cocktail….. and I owe this place a big thanks as I accidently left my computer her from two days ago….they saved it for me and delivered it back to me on my return trip!!! Wicker Park is so super!!! Best food and service around and I met the manager tonight and he was so great!!!!! Love this place….big time!!!! Try it!!!!!!!

I have eaten her twice recenty on lay overs in Chicago O'Hare airport. The service is very good. They have sushi, sashimi, and some seafod such as oysters and shrimp cocktail. The good: The food is very good. Service is freindly, attentive, and fast. The menu is very good for an airport. The prices are very reasonable ad similar to a sushi place in town. Good bar selection. Cold and warm Saki. The spicy tuna rolls, eel Sushi, and ell roll are as good as anywhere. The not so good: No down side. If you want to eat and drink at the airport, check this place out.

It has a cool sophisticated modern look and very nicely made sushi. They don't have anything exotic but it's fresh and crisp and the open space is a more refreshing experience than the other options. Service is efficient although not exactly warm. The sushi comes quickly so you shouldn't need more than 20 minutes.

I eat here when I transit through Chicago, at least the last 4-5 times when connection time allows. It has always been clean, quality, fresh and friendly. Personal favorite is the Spanish Dynamite roll. This place is a real gem in the midst of travel.

We had a couple hours to kill while waiting on a flight. We ordered a few rolls and they were all great. Very fresh, good flavor.

When i have an extended layover in O'Hare where i need to eat, and don't want a heavy meal, I usually stop here. Wicker Park has a nice dining space, with either bar seating ,or high top or low top tables in a separate area. A good selection of sushi and sashimi as well as maki, both classic (spicy tuna, Yellowtail) and some creative combinations- good quality and flavor. They also do some limited number of Japanese dishes and also serve fresh seafood. A good selection of wines by the glass and beers also. Service is efficient and friendly. Prices are of course a bit higher as it is an airport but won't completely break the bank. Location is between Terminal 1 and 2, a 10-15 minute walk from most gates, probably more like 15-20 from Concourse C.

Tried wicker park sushi for the first time (I usually go to frontera when I'm at O'Hare). I loved the atmosphere in the big bright terminal with views outside the huge windows looking out onto the planes and action of the airport. A storm actually came through while I was sipping my glass of wine and it was really dramatic to watch from that vantage point. They have an extended menu with lots of interesting rolls. The sushi was decent--not amazing, but very good for an airport. The bill can add up pretty quickly as the rolls aren't cheap--but the portions are definitely large. Overall, a good place to be stuck during a delay.

I can think of no better way I could have spent my layover in Chicago than chowing down on some seriously yummy sushi at Wicker Park! The Tiger Roll was to die for and the service was fast. This will be a guilty pleasure of mine for my monthly business trips through Chicago!

I had a quick lunch today at Wicker Park in O’Hare airport. My server, Nancy, was very good. Pretty attentive but got pretty busy with other customers. I was there at lunch….. but toward the end she was right on top of things!! Now I had a great cocktail to start lunch, then ordered sashimi and it was great but then things got interesting!!!! I ordered my all time favorite, Shrimp Cocktail, but they had NONE!!!! NONE at all!!!!!! I was flabbergasted!!!! I ended up asking for the menu again and ordered the beef tenderloin salad. It was very good but I was so disappointed they had no shrimp???? Always a great place but I have no idea how they could not have been prepared for lunch this day???? They have the best shrimp cocktail and wasabi sauce….but not today???????? Disappointed…..but I will live!!!!!

Chicago is my favorite city to visit, but its airport food is perhaps not the best. This is probably why I've tried this place three or four times. It wasn't awful. But it wasn't quite sushi. Most of the rolls feature cooked fish, cream cheese, or other non-sushi ingredients. It's also not fast. Today I had a three hour layover. I waited 10 minutes for a server. I ordered and waited 20 minutes until the server confessed that they were out of sushi rice. They were so sorry and asked if I was in a hurry. Who's in a hurry at an airport? Long and short--after 40 minutes, my incredibly pleasant server, who had been avoiding my glances--brought me a $17 spider which was pleasant, but not very Japanese, not very fresh. They didn't comp the wine, which, I must add, was delicious for the price. People were eating dessert sushi which looked odd. It's not fast; it's not appropriate for an airport, it's not Japanese, but sadly, it might be on of the less terrible options at O'hare. Why is O'hare airport food so bad? Such a great city? So many great restaurants?

I had 2 hours to kill between flights while at O'hare and stopped here for a nice sit down meal. The server was great and I quickly had a nice glass of wine and ordered some sushi and a salad. Everything was super fresh, my server told me they grow the greens for the salads right at the airport and pick fresh each day. The location I ate at is right behind the TSA area on Terminal 2

I was rushing to begin with but after ordering a beer and a roll the bartender came back and asked what I was having. It was over 5 mins and had to leave in 20 to catch a plane so I said to close me out and don't put the roll order in. Prices where expensive even for an airport. YMMV but I won't be stopping again.

If this was a regular restaurant, I wouldn't give it 4 out of 5. But given that this place is at O'Hare airport and that it is about ten times better than any other choice I've seen in that airport, I think it deserves the "Very Good" rating. The restaurant is quite big, with both tables and bar seats (always nice to see them working on the food). Service took longer than I expected but I came in just after lunch hour when everyone was having their orders prepared (and I had time so I didn't press). Food wasn't the best sushi I've eaten, but still very good, with large pieces of fish on the nigiri. All in all, certainly worth going back if I find myself with time to kill at O'Hare again!

For an airport sushi joint, Wicker Park is absolutely worth the visit. Solid sushi, decent service. I try to visit every time I'm in O'Hare.

Flying home I ate at Wicker Park in the Ohare airport. This is one of the best restaurants in an airport I have eaten at. My server, Mariana, was great and the entire service and wait staff at this place is exceptional. One of them recommended to me the “Trio” and it was superb!!!!! I then had my favorite shrimp cocktail and it was even better. For an appetizer I tried some “egg” and it was called Tamago and I was told to have it heated up….. they did….. and it was a great taste!!!! Lots of good wines, drinks, and beers!! I love this place!!!!

I had Spicy Tuna and Salmon rolls.... and taste was not breath taking ... even all was prepared just before serving texture of Rice was like cooked day before... Maybe that was my meal ...

The California roll of various fish is approximately $10++. It looks so sad and sloppy that they think all travelers are tired and will eat anything put in front of them.

Very expensive and just okay. Not many sit down places at airport. Service unfriendly left still hungry and 50& poorer for lunch

I sat down here in-between flights and expected at some point that someone would come by and offer me a glass a water and a menu. 10 minutes later, I am still waiting. In the meantime, people around me are being served left and right. At this point, I flagged someone down. The look of incredulousness on the waitress's face as if I were out of line for asking to be served told me that my money was not needed here. She actually rolled her eyes at me. Look man, people handle your food so I'm never rude. I was so taken aback by this that I got up and left. As a frequent flyer from O'Hare, I will NEVER eat there.

I was surprised to see a new Wicker Park in the end of C Concourse. I enjoyed a seaweed salad and spicy tuna roll. Prices are inflated compared to outside the airport but the meal sure beat a McDonalds meal or yet another prepackaged salad.

Got dumped at the table then the sever gave me an evil eye because I had luggage...it’s an airport, what did he expect?

I travel a fair bit and generally hate eating at the airport because the food offering is usually soulless chain-restaurant awful. When at O'Hare I often walk great distances just to sit down at Wicker Park to eat something good. Staff is friendly and the service is good. I had the tempura-soba for lunch with a side of unagi and some green tea. Left relaxed with a smile on my face.

I was recently in O'Hare waiting for my departure and grabbed dinner at Wicker Park. I was seated after a short wait at the bar. The service was very good. I had the Atlantic salmon crunch roll and it was excellent. I would come again when I have time before my flight.

Fresh Sushi at great bar while you are waiting for your flight. It was definitely worth to walk from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2 to get a delicious roll for take-out.

How much more fresh can it be? Straight off the plane. An excellent way to catch a bite while traveling through O'Hare. Even locals tend to eat here when they return from travels. Poke, rolls, sushi, soups, a lot to choose.

You’re in O’Hare and you want sushi? Well then Wicker hits the spot. Prices are a tad high - but it is in the airport. Server was wonderful - helpful and friendly. The sushi was pretty darn good for being in the airport. Will go here next time I go through O’Hare!

I had lunch while traveling through O'Hare. Mariyana was taking care of my service. She was attentive and very prompt. She did a great job. She also asked for my ID as requested on my credit card. Bonus points! I ordered a side salad, tuna roll and shrimp tempura roll. Service was fast as they were not very busy. Beer and food all arrived within five minutes of ordering. The salad was very with a sesame dressing. My tuna roll was great. Lots of tuna and sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds. The tuna was fresh and delicious. This is my yard stick for sushi restaurants. The tempura shrimp roll was also very good. Overall it was very good. It is of course higher priced than your neighborhood sushi restaurant. Two rolls, salad and a beer was $39 with tip. Would have been $28 without the beer. I recommend Wicker Park Seafood & Sushi if you are between flights in Terminal 2 at O'Hare airport.

I have been to many sushi places and this is a true surprise to find in an airport location for taste and quality! 😀 Service was excellent and the food came out quickly. This compares to a fine restaurant and not expected at the fast pace airport location! Located at T2 and easy to find. I recommend this place for your enjoyment! 😉😉

Excellent tuna POKE BOL. Freshness of all ingredients. Peaceful place. Fast service. Beautiful presentation. Perfect for a healthy meal.

I've been flying through Ohare weekly since 1990. I'm not impressed with the choices of "healthier" fair in the ORD airport. If you want a $10 bread sandwich or pizza that's been sitting under a heat lamp or a blech salad, your in business. Compared to other airports, this one sucks. The sushi is good, pretty fast if you want takeout and reasonably reasonable for airport food. The tenderloin roll is REALLY good if you are not digging the fish, too. Service is ok but now since they have the takeout counter, I usually go sit somewhere else or take it on the flight. I find it a good option where there are few others.

Seating and service is prompt. Sushi is well-presented and tasty, though I wish they had more dinner choices. Several nice sake options.

Great sushi place. Always fresh. Great service. Always enjoy that place every time I have time to catch a bite between flights.

Service was fine, but the sushi was just acceptable -- nothing special, though I should have expected that from an airport sushi place. The quality does not match the high prices. There are certainly better options in O'Hare!

Really nice sushi, solid beer & wine selection. Far above what I expected in an airport. Fast service. Sushi chefs were having a great time, which seemed to make the food that much tastier

Two hours to kill midday so checked out food options. This looked among the best without going too far from my gate. Albacore poke on sushi rice was quite tasty. Service slow to start then very efficient once I was noticed. Excellent airport option.

I was passing through on a very long day of travel from Vancouver to Virginia. My habit is to locate my gate first, then sit to eat - I was delighted to see this restaurant located right at gate C3. Score! I enjoyed a beer, the shrimp tempura role and the prawn cocktail. Both were great, freshly made, nicely presented and tasty. Pricing was a bit high as others have said, but the premium is on the location. Given the high volume of guests, I was pleased to see the Sushi chef’s making fresh roles right in the middle of the open, airy kitchen space. Service was fine, I was well attended, and sat at the sushi bar itself. The downside of being centrally located and bustling is that it is a little difficult to hear the gate announcements, but that’s not Wicker Park’s problem! I’d definitely eat here again.

Before you say: Sushi, at an airport? I’ve had very good sushi at the Detroit airport. Not the case here. I had the spicy tuna and it was tuna paste. It was disappointing even for the airport.

I had three tempura shrimp, carrot salad, california roll, plus three other sushi dishes. I expected a larger bill. We worth $26.00. Wide selection of dishes. Much better than average airport food

Have never had sushi this bad. Salmon had no color, tuna was a bit gray, slices were too thin, California roll had no taste. Sorry... just plain bad. Oh!!!.... always say something nice... good beer selection!!

I used to look forward to changing planes at ORD, so that I could make a stop at Wicker Park. Not any more. This last visit was very disappointing. The sushi pieces I had were passable, but the roll was no better than day-old supermarket fare. Limp, rubbery tempura, and everything tasted....not fresh. I"ll put up with high prices in an airport, if the food is good, but not this.

Airport sushi?? The very idea is enough to start heads shaking...yet where else would you expect to get "just flown in" seafood that is as fresh as any coastal restaurant? Wicker Park is one of my very favorite sushi restaurants anywhere - airport or not. Their location in between Concourse 1 and 2 makes it convienient, they have plenty of spots to charge up your electronics before your flight, and the food is sublime! My favorites are the spicy and very clean Spanish Dynamite role, the slightly sweet Hawaiian roll, and the crunchy California roll. That being said - I've never had anything that I didn't actually love. Don't miss out on this gem. In fact, book yourself a layover in Chicago long enough to enjoy this wonderful restaurant.

I had an hour to wait for my flight. I wasn't too hungry. I sat at the bar. I had a salmon roll and a glass of wine. I enjoyed both. The service was good.

I usually stop here all the time when flying thru Chicago. Never been disappointed yet !! Had the tenderloin roll today..........rice, asparagus, onions.......wrapped in a spicy beef cover........absolutely fantastic !! The service here is always top notch.......try it sometime.

Very surprised to find good quality sushi in an airport. Everything was so fresh, it was a wonderful end to a great business trip. This place is almost always packed which is a good sign of a great place!

Every time my layover in Chicago permits I stop at Wicker Park. Such is great to travel on and I have always found fresh and well prepared meals here. Nothing like a bowl of Miso and a rainbow California roll in between flights.

I travel a lot and always enjoy when an airport has good cuisine. This restaurant has excellent service and very good sushi. I always look for this place when I am in the area and I am never disappointed.

Just terrible. I ordered the smoked salmon on ciabatta, and nearly everything was bad. Mostly, the smoked salmon wasn't like any smoked salmon that is served with breakfasts. It was hard and dry. So was the ciabatta. And the potatoes that came with it were cold, hard, mealy, and tasteless. Also, there was no care taken of the atmosphere. My placemat had a burned spot in the middle, and the display cases on the central bar were piled haphazardly with water bottles. Don't go here!

Stopped here before a flight as a group of 6. Great service. Drinks were good with great selection of sake, wine, beer and I would recommend the plum wine. We had a selection of sushi between us all but I had the Hawaiian roll and it was delicious. Flavorful and fresh with the mango sauce.

Great service. Good food. Fun beers. I’ll be back next trip! Great sushi, and of all things at an airport.

This is a great spot to grab some drinks and food while waiting for your next flight... maybe several drinks during unexpected delays. I forget that it is here and get food towards the center of the terminal, but end up getting something anyway. The service is great, the electrical sockets are a plus, and there is plenty of room to relax.

I could have made better sushi than here and I've never made sushi. Tiny in size and tiny in quality, just mashed together. Resembles mash potatoes more than sushi. Never eating here again.

I had a late dinner at Wicker Park in the O’Hare airport. My server was the quickest ever!!!! My food, drinks, and bill were delivered with great aplomb!!!!! My server’s name was Erzhika and you should definitely sit in her section!!! I had the huge shrimp with Wasabi sauce and a great chard wine. This is one of the best airport places to eat I have ever found!!!!! In between Terminals B and C. Go there and try this place!!!! You will not regret it!!!!!!

I sat near the window and while I waited for about 10 minutes after being seated to get attention from wait staff the chair was comfortable and I was in no hurry. I ordered Miso soup, hamachi sashimi and sapporo draft beer. The miso was possibly the best miso soup I have had anywhere. The hamachi was a bit bland and I almost always order hamachi so have a good sense of what is good or not. This was not bad but not good either. The beer was japanese beer...what you would expect. While not an awesome dining experience I will go back....if you sit on the other side it would be a good place to people watch as travelers constantly pass by this place moving between terminals 1 and 2....

If you like fresh, tasty sushi this is not your place. What was supposed to be served cold was warm, and what was supposed to be warm was cold, including the indifferent service. My sushi order was delivered next to me not to me by a cold cheerless waiter who seemed to be in a hurry to go home. The prices they charge would suggest they serve Grade A sushi, but this was not the case. Frankly, I have had better prepared sushi from my local supermarket. Very disappointing in such a major US airport

I had to eat something and ended up here and wish I would have just had a greasy burger as that would have been better than this place. $24 for miso soup and an 8 piece sampler of sushi. The service was prompt and friendly, but the price for the food and the portion size was way too much. I'll never eat here again unless I'm really desperate and on the final leg of an overseas journey, which I found myself in this situation.

Had a couple of flights fall through and moved around on my way home from Sioux Falls to Knoxville. Looked up a couple of places in the airport and wanted sushi. Seen this place a couple of times in passing (usually too early though) and finally got to eat at it. Sat down immediately (a lot of bar area), got a drink (very quick), and got my order taken (quickly). I started with the seaweed salad (very good) and my entree was the Spanish Dynamite roll (not too spicy, about right). Got all my food within 5 minutes. This was a Tuesday evening around 6:30. They had a ton of service, fast service, and good food. And I had Jeff as my Bartender/Server. Hopefully, I'll get to hit this place up again.

We have eaten here twice. If we have. A long layover - it gives us a chance to relax and something other than the quick airport fare to eat. It is pretty good sushi - with several rolls to choose from. It is priced as all airport food is - but we expected that!

Sushi here is most certainly overpriced which I'll admit I definitely expect out of any airport restaurant. I'd be willing to overlook that however if the food was remotely good. I ordered multiple rolls here at Wicker Park while waiting for a flight and the food was atrocious. The sushi itself was not prepared well and my rolls were brought to me with multiple pieces already falling apart. Maybe that's because I watched my rolls sit on the counter for at least 15 minutes prior to them being brought over. The wasabi looked like Play-Doh Another problem with that wait time was that my sushi was no longer cold, it was room temperature at best. This made for a very poor culinary experience. I expected better given all the great reviews but I'd warn travelers to think twice. Maybe just save your money. Service was poor, food was poor and value was definitely poor.

This place appears to be a food haven at ORD - sprawling space with nice design and lots of plug-ins for your phone. Well, the looks are better than the food. The spicy tuna roll was decent (at best) and the nigiri & sashimi were far from fresh. The servers are kind but so is nearly everyone in the Midwest. It's sushi at the airport and so I walked in with low expectations... that they failed to meet.

I had a pretty long layover in O'Hare and decided to have something better to eat than fast food. I tried a spicy tuna and one of their signature rolls that reminded me of Nikku maki. The tuna was good but nothing fantastic. The signature roll was also good as a cooked beef roll . I might consider that again. My biggest issue was the markup on the beverage. I understand margin on f&b but I got a little bottle (300 ml)of Nigori sake that retails with margin at $7-8 and they charged $24. I wanted it so I paid for it but it was sort of a ridiculous price. Not sure I would go back even though the staff and location is great.

how on earth should anyone pay 16 plus tax for 4 sushi that's not superb? I cannot understand this pricing

This is by far the best restaurant in Terminal 2. There is a wide variety of sushi and sashimi, as well as noodle dishes and vegetarian items. While it's not the highest grade, it is good for the Midwest and an airport. It will fill the sushi void. The bar also has power outlets, which is a plus. The saki selection is also nice.

The sign walking by caught my eye "Voted top 10 airport restaurants by USA today. " I think this could be right. Had some delicious miso followed by a spicy shrimp and tuna roll. The service was average. 4 people standing around talking not taking our order and not bringing our check.

Each time i fly by ohare, i need to stop here. The tuna poke bowl was pretty good. Only downside, the beer worth half the price of the poke bowl.

As I travel thru Ohare weekly it is nice to have a good restaurant to stop at rather than eating fast food and bar food. The selection is very good and I have not had a bad meal here. Service is usually very good and Antonio is the best. Highly recommend a stop.

Anytime I'm in Ohare, I HAVE to stop here. Great drink choices but the prawns are the world's best!!! I alway get the Wasabi sauce along with the red horseradish!!!! This is one of my favorite places to eat in the world!!!! I really mean that!!!!

I use to look forward to eating here when I had enough time between flights and wanted to splurge. I think I'm over it. My order arrived suspiciously fast. The taste was bland and the rolls were poorly made, falling apart when I picked them up. Maybe I just know better now with good sushi experiences. Next time I'm laid over at O'hare, I'll get a hotdog, pizza or just eat whatever they have at the club.

This is one of the few nice sit-down table service restaurants in O’Hare International Airport. I had a bento box with miso soup, shrimp tempura, a California roll and 3 pieces of sushi. All was very good. Service was excellent and very friendly. The waiters have been on staff for years. Prices are not exorbitant (for an airport venue).

Been here maybe 6 times. Always good, consistent high quality. Pricey, but a nice, calm place to spend an hour between flights. The udon noodles and a roll of sushi & a Kirin light beer? Yes please.

I recently ate at the smaller Wicker Park Sushi place located at the end of Terminal 1 - nestled in with a bunch of gates. There is sadly not alot of good food at O'Hare - I have never understood it. All major airports should have good food. Wicker Park is not great - but it is good. Service was good. Prices are high - quality is slightly better than average.

I actually had a second dinner tonight at O’Hare. I stopped in at my perennial favorite, Wicker Park. This place is located between Terminals 1 and 2 and is one of the best airport food places!! I had a couple of wines and of course their famous shrimp cocktail. The last time they were out of shrimp and this time they were almost out of Wasabi sauce and I only got 1 and 1/3 containers of sauce instead to the two I asked for. My server was Tewfik and he was actually outstanding!!!! He kept track of me and kept my wine glass full!!!!! This is a great place to eat and catch up on the day’s news as you sip your wine and eat your sushi or great fish!!!

Please note : this review is for the WickerPark location at Ohare airport Gate 6, C Concorse I have eaten other locations and it is always been good, this day was particularly quiet at this gate location, but as I’m looking around the table mats are dirty the tables themselves look like they haven’t been cleaned in weeks. Tempura shrimp is being kept warm in the oven, so my shrimp in rolls was HARD. sushi quality was horrifically, poor, even the ginger look like it left out for weeks. Ordered using QR code and online ordering system does not have complete menu - I.e. no soda. It’s too bad as the other airport location used to be good. I should not have eaten it except I was so hungry and I figured I’d have to pay for it anyway to the tune of $40 for two items . Hope I don’t get sick ,

Manager watched me sit for over five minutes without any drink or anybody to take my order. I guess he is to important to take care of any lowly customer. Wait he was to busy flirting with the waitress. When the waitress finally came by, I asked her if he was the manager. She said yes. That was it. Manager never came over. The place was not busy at the time.

I really enjoy this spot. Excellent sushi great service at the bar. Hopefully you get Jeff. Miso soup is great. Spicy tuna roll is a mainstay. Good beer and wine selection.

Slight error on our meal. We spoke with the manager and informed her that the tempura was exceptionally firm. She remade the whole order (three rolls) and didn’t charge us for them. I was truly shocked. You don’t expect this level of service at the airport. Truly impressed. We stop here often. And the food is always good. Make sure you try the dessert.

This is among the best airport restaurants I've ever eaten at! The sushi was fresh and delicious, although it was also quite pricy. But airport food is typically overpriced. Great service and awesome food! Will definitely stop in again!

This place is keeping the same service since my first visit 4 years ago. All the same. I have only recommendations of this place. I like to order the specials. But had tried some simple sushi too. Perfect. Shoyu is low sodium.

Not very good sushi. All rolls tasted sort of similar, and not that good. Service was fine, friendly and efficient. There's better options at O'Hare.

Great idea - it's hard to find something healthy in an airport - but very poor quality. Expect to pay more in an airport but the prices here for the food are a joke. The nigiri is tiny - smallest piece of rice under a piece of fish I have ever seen at about an inch in length. They offer tempura but it is clearly cooked off site and reheated in an oven - mine was cold and soggy. Very disappointing.

Airport food of any kind makes me cringe, but my husband and I were very pleasantly surprised with the sushi that we ordered at Wicker Park. We recharged our phones, were comfortably seated and enjoyed a tasty display of sushi. He ordered the Hawaiian roll and I chose the spider roll. Wicker Park is located in terminal E near Coach, Mac (makeup counter), a gourmet market and a place to purchase headphones/cell phone accessories.

We used to look forward tonlong lay overs in Chicago so we could eat at Wicker Park, but the last two visits in June and in August, we noticed the quality of the food and service is just not what it used to be. One cannot expect the sushi to be fresh, and is not well executed, as it is neither cleanly made or tightly wrapped. The last bit we ate was actually terrible. Sad, because we used to really look forward to the place!

Good miso soup, shrimp tempura was cold and kinda mushy. Sushi roll was fine, nothing special. Good service.

Except if it's expensive and it looks handmade. But then, it turns out, unless you're at Narita, you'll be disappointed. The disappointing thing is how easy this would be to fix. The rice isn't carefully made sushi rice. It's that compressible wonderbread airport rice. The wasabi isn't wasabi, it's the supercheap industrial playdoh variety. The avocados aren't ripe... you get the idea. It probably won't make you sick, but it's not good. But it is expensive.

Who knew such a thing as decent airport sushi existed? The rolls we had were good. Waiter forgot our edamame, and after reminding him, it was provided freezing cold.

Always reliable! I stop here often when transferring between terminals at Ohare. Sushi is fresh and fast. Can also recharge equipment at their bar

Had 4 hours to kill at O’Hare airport and not in a mood for the usual food court food. Good food, good wine, great service … and it’s in one of the more quiet areas of the airport … really had a great time here … thanks!

This is a very good sushi restaurant located at O'Hare international Airport between gates B and E/F. You see it as you walk by between the gates. Both of them are in terminal 1. Sushi is very good particularly considering the location. We like the Wicker Park Maki roll which is the best and quite spicy! Their salmon nigiri are good.

Sushi rice is hard. The wicker salad is nothing to brag about: some greens on a plate. The sashimi did taste fresh and my miso soup was good. It's a bit pricey but If you want to sit down in a pretty nice restaurant in the airport, feels a bit civilized, eat here. The service was very good.

Unbelievably bad - prefried, cold and hard shrimp tempura. Not edible. Worst ever, and my expectation was already low.

Was seated next to the windows with a glass of wine. Edamame was colder than the sushi rolls but the meal hit the spot and the prices were tolerable. If you have time to spare between flights, I would make the walk to here before suffering the typical airport fries/burger.

The service is prompt and friendly. They clearly understand how to move you along and keep you on time for your flight. Unfortunately our sushi was clearly prepared hours before we ordered it and lacked freshness and proper texture.

This is a great restaurant in the Chicago airport - I have eaten at both locations. It offers a basic sushi menu, great service and Full bar!

Otherwise I'd wait for a place in the city. It's good, handmade in front of you. Only thing: a bit overpriced. But airport food isn't cheap! Selection of oysters and other seafood in the menu.

Restaurant located in a walkway close to the Concourses E/F, with a nice view of the airport. Has sushi rolls, sashimi and bowls. Menu is limited but good enough for an airport. Service was a bit slow due to limited staff. Sushi rolls were very good, nicely presented. Seaweed salad was also good. Not excellent but a decent, healthy food option.

This is a very good sushi restaurant tucked in a quiet corner of the C concourse. The setting is a little spartan - it is an airport after all - but the food was very good and a good value for the money. Service was very pleasant and efficient. You order online and everything is served quickly afterwords. Definitely one of the better airport dinner experiences I’ve had.

Tidal Wave was Amazing!!! Great service and an enjoyable experience. I have yet to find a restaurant at an airport that can create that quality of food.

Had a light meal there with my daughter. The rolls were heavy on rice and it was really gluey. The salmon tasted a little “off” so we did not eat it. Save your money and get better sushi in the city!!

The idea of airport sushi has always scared me a little bit but it was near my gate and wanted to sit down somewhere. I got a couple of rolls with my girlfriend and they both were really good and came out really fast! Our waitress was friendly, but I normally don’t base a rating based on a waiter/waitress. Overall it was a good experience and if I have the chance I will come again.

Unfortunately, the sushi we had here (and we tried 4 different rolls = $50) was simply not fresh - you could tell by color of the fish as well as the taste. Service was attentive, friendly and fast but cannot make up for mediocre quality and freshness. Cannot recommend.

I see that some reviewers were down on the food and service but I found it fast efficient helpful and very tasty. They have power outlets at every barstool and all the tables, so for a traveler that's worth the price of admission! All the dishes are prepared in front of you by some very very efficient staff and a cold Kirin tops it all off along with of course a full charge on the cell or laptop! Will go back

We were shocked to see this spot and extensive menu, as well as a sushi bar, here in the home I'd deep dish pizza and Chicago hot dogs! It was really well prepared, tasty and service was excellent. I had the classic tuna roll, husband had yellow tail rolls. Lots of wasabi and nice ginger. Bowls of udon were generous servings and, again, both the veggie and the shrimp bowls were good. The quality was a surprise for an airport.

Good food and service. Sushi made fresh at the bar. Glad my gate was right here or I wouldn’t have seen it! Very tasty.

I'll give it this it was fresh and the service was good. Your in an airport so as far as having it as an option I was happy... price point high but I would go again

Ismeal our server turned my husband on to wasabi! Great Bloody Mary morning!! Ready for a skiing adventure in Steamboat Colorado with snow ahead of us!

Located in terminal 2, not too far from the United lounges near B6 and E, this is a decent airport option. The sushi and soup were comparable to what you would get from a high end supermarket experience, such as Whole Foods, but nowhere near as good as similar food from a Japanese restaurant located away from the airport. Still, if you want sushi at O'Hare, this isn't a bad choice.

I had lunch in the O’Hare airport at Wicker Park. Super service, super food, super drinks…… and expensive!!!!!! I had the Asian salad and shrimp cocktail and those two items were the best…. I also had a couple of wines and they were also outstanding!!!! This place is just the best!!!!! I love it…. Super restaurant in an airport!!!!!!!!!! I eat here every single time I’m in O’Hare!!!! Give this place a try if you haven’t yet!!!!! My server was Maria and she was great too!!!

Sitting at the bar now for service- placemats are filthy and the Barton is stained with stray soy sauce drips. Fast friendly service, but I question the competence of you operate in less than spotless conditions. The edamame and miso soup were good, the rolls lacked a little flavor but we're good. The place looks fresh and new from the concourse, but be in for a different view when you kick the tires.

Located between terminals 1 and 2 (or between concourses B&C and E&F) is this O'Hare Airport gem. We haves stopped by many times while connecting through ORD or when facing a flight delay. The service is always very good and Rick is terrific. We love the miso soup and it comes out quickly. Drink service is very efficient. We have always been pleased with the quality of the sushi and most recently with the hamachi and scallion roll and a Dragon roll. If you have half an hour to spare and are nearby, Wicker Park is definitely worth a visit and clearly excellent for an airport restaurant.

Great place between terminal 1 and 2. I was delayed three hours today with my flight so I walked here and plopped down and ate shrimp and drank wine for a couple hours at 9 in the morning!!!! What a great place!!! Food is out of this world and the wines are the best!!! I WANT to get delayed at O'hare so I can eat here!!!!!!!!!!

Wicker Park offers a break weary travelers, especially if you have a 1-2 hour layover in O'Hare. I thought the service was quick and considerate and also they don't push you to move on. I like the selection of Chardonnays and I stick with the California rolls that were good. You can roll in and grab a quick bite and get a nice walk in between Terminals 2 and 3. I've started to book my Chicago travel with Wicker Park in mind. Very good place but you will be disappointed if you are expecting anything more in prices for airport food.

When ever flying through Chicago, I have to stop here.... right between Terminals B and C and this place is SUPER!!!!! The BEST seafood and the service is actually extraordinary for an airport!!!! I had their featured special, then my prawns with extra wasabi sauce and several glasses of plum wine!!!! My server, Christin, was great!!!! Always checking in on me as I was there for several hours.... this place is the best!!!!!!!!

Every time I visit, I swear this place is the best place outside an airport lounge for a layover or flight delay. The club-style chairs by the windows are tucked back and private and we can easily spend a few hours here. The waitstaff DOES need improving- it's needed this for years. I just get up and find my server and ask for a fork, the check, etc. Yes, it's annoying, but if you're willing to be assertive about it, then it's less of an issue. Obviously, tip accordingly. The udon soup (believe it's only served until 3pm, but unclear why) is delicious, the sushi is great. This place is expensive, but worth it to me when I fly American and don't have lounge access (and have a couple hours to burn).

Brilliantly quick service without sacrificing quality. Very friendly staff. It was worth going the next terminal over to get a warm meal

Since Im dieting, I decided to try some vege rolls. Their Specialty Vegetable rolls wrapped in a yellowish seaweed was AWESOME! Ive tried others since January in other places, but so far, it was absolutely above the rest! Large in size and packed tightly! Considering it was in O'hare, the price was really good! Service was good too.

Open with table and bar seating. Nice selection. Bento box about $25 - $30. Japanese bear on tap. You’ll need at least an hour.
Rip Off
I've traveled a lot and anyone who travels gets familiar with O-Hare. When Wicker Park Seafood & Sushi first opened I was very happy to get great Sushi while on long layovers and I frequented the place. Great food and good wine at high prices but at least good stuff. This became one of my favorites. So it was a real disappointment when my wife and I had a recent layover and went here expecting good things. The middle aged woman who "served" us acted as if we were a burden. We had to literally go looking for her when we wanted service and it wasn't like she was busy with customers. I could see her just talking with coworkers. And she knew she wasn't paying any attention to us because she refused eye contact when we tried to engage her. The food was and always has been very good. But now it is overpriced even by restaurant standards in airports. But the real kick was the drink pricing. If you can even figure it out because they only post wine prices. The surprise comes with the bill. I get that airports always gouge on drinks but Wicker Park has taken this to a new level I am calling an outright rip off. We paid $19 for a little tiny vodka gimlet that, I swear, didn't have 3 ounces of liquid in the glass. When we asked if that was an accurate charge the waitress didn't bother to check. She just said everyone complains, shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Wine is now $15 for a measly 6 oz. pour. Where does this end? Enough is enough. We're done. No more Wicker and no more frequenting any of these airport rip offs. We'll be packing a lunch and little drink bottles from now on. To be fair the food here is very good so those who prepare it are not a part of the problem. This is a Management/owner issue. Greed kills all enterprises my friends. To you owners I say, shame on you. And to the server who obviously does not like her job I say, please find other work and let someone who enjoys this work do the job.
