This is a nicely maintained place with good food at a moderate price. Our table of 6 ordered a variety of items and everone was pleased with their selection.

Awesome Ramen and Katsu

By Lee R |

Castle Hills continues it's great streak of awesome restaurants with Wild Goji. The ramen is spot on and the katsudon was perfect. Great service and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend.

Awesome sushi & chinese on an impromptu date night!

By Gareth G |

In town from Austin for Easter, needed some dinner on a late Saturday evening and this was down the street. We went in to discover the happiest of hours, Reverse Happy Hour! Half off first roll, drink specials etc. We ordered a bottle of sparkling sake and the Hakkasan cocktail with some edamame to start. Awesome. Ordered king pão chicken and the Angry Dragon roll to share - deeeLIcious! And here's the kicker: my fiancé has a garlic allergy. Our server was so super friendly and the kitchen accommodating, they prepared the King Pão without garlic. She said they could do ANYthing without garlic, made to order!!! Stellar!!! We loved it, Lily (our server) was awesome, definitely going back when next in SAT!

Never again

I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE !! At first glance it seems like a nice place . I walked in & a very friendly girl sat me down . While I was seated in the dining area there was only 3 other tables there making me the 4th . I sat there for a good 5 minutes not one soul came up to me . Unacceptable!! I didn’t seat myself , so I couldn’t of sat in a “ closed section .” The fact that a waiter would’ve check on his section to make sure it was seated . Or maybe the hostess didn’t tell the persons section she seated me in was sat . Whatever the case after 5 minutes & that’s a long time for no greet , no drink order , no “ I’ll be right with you “. I decided to take my business elsewhere & im glad I did . I came to your competitor FUJIYA Japanese restaurant off of Wurzbach . An old faithful but I decided to give you guys a try after all the “ good reviews “ I saw . First & last time !

Excellent Ramen, Surprisingly Nice Interior and Vibe

By 2fromTX |

We are always looking for good ramen, so stopped in here for dinner....and was surprised how modern and sleek the place was on the inside, especially considering it's just another strip center business. In fact, the bar area seemed decent enough to come again sometime just for drinks. And the food is good. The restaurant is ten minutes from the airport, across the street from North Star mall, and just a block off of Loop 410. We had: nigiri -- the rice was excellently packed, and the fish a generous portion; ramen, one tonkotsu and the other spicy miso tonkotsu (had a kick but not overwhelmingly spicy), and both were as good as any ramen in the area; and an order of takoyaki (octopus balls) and thought they were well done also. Service was okay, not great, but we weren't in a hurry. Also, the prices are maybe a bit on the high side for San Antonio -- fine if you are from out of town. They offer a lot of creative cocktails, but we didn't try any, and they have a late night happy hour after 9:30 p.m. Definitely will go back.

Great Family Owned Restaurant

By Mike B |

I went there a couple of times. I had raman, egg drop soup, some pork based soup, a role and some sashimi. I was actually looking for a Pho place. well, it is not a Pho place. But everything else is exceptionally well done. The sushi or sashimi sampler platter is a great value and tastes great. So do simple things like the egg drop soup. The ramen is nice although it not my personal taste. I would rate the place 5 star based on the food - but it is a little bit of a dive place and the service is not 100% up to par with the food. It is clean and tasty food - so give it a try. The service comment is somewhat subjective for folks sometimes.

Great sushi

By Cathy H |

Ordered three different sushi rolls for takeout. The wait staff was very friendly. Ordered their Signature roll, Dynamite roll and Spider roll. They included different sauces in the To Go bag, too. All three rolls were delicious! Will definitely go back!

Go for drinks only!

By Sp435 |

We thought we were in for an amazing food adventure. Turns out, it was just regular old Asian food - just fancied up. The drinks were amazing BTW. Would not doubt the bartender. But the food - It’s just horrible. “Chef Special Fried Chicken” - reframed version of regular old teriyaki chicken. If I had to pay 13$ for teriyaki chicken, I would have gotten take out from a cheaper and better place. Common! Are you kidding me? Never again!

Fabulous dinner

Delicious miso soup. Dinamite roll was great as well. The complementary goji infused water was a nice touch. Server was quick and kind. Will definitely return.

Restaurant that charges an Extra Service Charge for tables of more than 5 people.

By CE |

The service is very good and friendly, the food is good and they serve very quickly. I didn't like that my wife and I came with small children and they charged us a service charge in addition to the tip and tax. The waiter said that the reason was that we exceeded the number of people at the table and he had to charge 18% of the total bill before taxes for the service. That didn't seem right to me since we only ordered 3 dishes.

Great Taste, Great Presentation, Great Atmosphere.

This place was excellent!!! Just go you will not regret it. My husband and I visited after his surgery. The udon noodle seafood dish was such a good comfort dish. Great for vegan and vegetarian meals too. This is now our go to place.

Dinner with kids

By Sarah S |

Had dinner here with our teenage kids on a sunday evening. The food was good and so was the service. We had sushi and ramen and both were good. I felt it was a little overpriced but my kids enjoyed it.

Awesome Sushi in San Antonio

By George G |

A new bar has been set in San Antonio Texas for sushi. Six of us went here to celebrate sons birthday. His recommendation as he has been several times. The food, the flavors, and the service were all exceptional! The ramen is quite the bowl full and flavorful. Make sure to get the dumplings as well. We liked them so much we ordered twice - they were gone in a flash! The pictures don't do the sushi or experience justice. We liked it so much almost went for lunch the next day. A must try!

Great sushi and Happy Hour

By ShaleenWhitfield |

I came for sushi and got high quality food and great service. Doesn't look like much from the outside but the inside is sleek and modern and has a great atmosphere. Great for company outings, date nights, etc.

I'm only as strong as Ramen!

By Anna_TXGirl |

4 stars for the Angry Dragon roll! Ramen was decent but not the best I've ever had. The ladle was nice 😉 Service was excellent. Tempura ice cream was decent as well.

Local Favorite

By Don B |

Excellent! This place is tucked away in a strip mall. I went with local friends and was blown away. Excellent choices for sushi lovers and also those preferring a less adventurous, but Asian Fusion menu. Great staff! Not hard on the wallet, either.

My Go2 Place for Lunch

By Grand Master Luther |

Love the Bento boxes! Entree, sushi, salad, dumplings, soup for @ $12 in one tray. Fresh, tasteful. Pretty much impossible to beat in this town. Miso soup is the default, which I do not care for so I substitute hot & sour. Hot & sour soup is usually my barometer for Asian restaurants and this one does not disappoint. Casual, open seating, average ambient background noise. Service adequate. But the food is really good! GML

Extremely Delightfully Delicious!! Ohhhhh my goodness how Amazingly Superb!!! The Flavors, Ahhh Delicious!!

From delicious water to ramen

By Oasis320 |

This place puts a special touch on their water! They include goji berries, and they will explain how goji berries assist with health. The ramen is delightful with you choice of broth. I've tried both and prefer the stouter option. Friendly for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores.

Wild Gogi Berry Signature roll was AWESOME!!

By Elizabeth V |

We tried a few things on the menu and everything was really something special. We started with Wild Bao bun. Was delicious! I'm not one for "doughy" buns but this was different. The bun was more like a soft bread. Then we had Fuji Wonton which was a fried cream cheese & crab wonton with thinly sliced Fuji apple and drizzled with honey wasabi. YUMMM!Then we had wonton soup. Was really good! Nice flavorful broth. Now onto the sushi & sashimi. The Wild Gogi Signature roll with shrimp tempura, mango, cilantro, torched seared yellow tail, black tobico and wasabi yuzu... wow, best sushi roll ever and I've been eating sushi for years! The sashimi bowl.... Chirashi Sashimi Don.... included Tuna, Salmon & Yellowtail... picture in this review. I also had the Wild Gogi Sangria.... highly recommend!!!

Excellent Birthday!

I am a regular comes to Wild Gogi when I want amazing food!service is always amazing and the food is delicious! I highly recommend this place. I bring people all the time!

Great

By Alli P |

Service was excellent, food was fresh and tasty. My only suggestion to the restaurant would be to comment on the poke bowl of salmon and tuna. For the price, you should add a little more bites of the fish, it is minimal. Have frequented at least 4 times and always good. Nice local find .

Nice diverse menu. Great service!

By Michael Y |

An interesting mix of various Asian dishes. The dumplings were very good, the sushi was also good. The service was excellent!! Plenty of parking.

Exciting dinner out for anyone!

By Dreamer42830491444 |

Visiting SA and your by the airport, this is your place to indulge!!!! The sushi is top notch and served with pride. The staff is so cute because they’re all excited to see you. Went for business and came back with family. Creative options for your meal. Do not miss out on this place. It’s family friendly but a really fun idea for a first date or just an amazing new experience!!! Definitely going back. Ask for Adam. He is awesome!!!!!!

Add to the list

By dfwjnn |

My wife and I live eating out - and always like to explore different restaurants that are not available to us where we live. With that said - this was a great find and will be added to the list of must visit again when in the area. Normally we have leftovers and enjoy them later- no left overs this time- loved the steak stir fry and the “go spurs go” roll- very good find and highly recommend.

Wild Goji: A pleasant and fun surprise in Asian Fusion

By Alfredo H |

The real deal. Wild Goji did not disappoint my wife or I on our date night. I had the Ramen with pork broth, chicken wings, filet minion slice sushi roll, and homemade chicken dumplings and all the dishes were phenomenal. There are so many enticing options on the menu, that I will surely go back to try them all. I also enjoyed the relaxing and inviting ambience and service. I highly recommend Wild Goji for those looking to have a delicious Asian fusion meal in a nice down to earth establishment.

Superb Ramen

By Oasis320 |

The ramen here is so tasty. I went on a whim just thinking, sure, I'll try this place out. I was beyond impressed from their goji water to their ramen. Easy food options for vegans too. My friend got the ramen with miso broth.

It was a complete upgrade

By Lauren |

I've been going here since before it's re-model into a sushi conveyor belt restaurant. The change was a huge upgrade into something new in San Antonio. The little trains that served the hot plates were very cute. Highly recommend the fatty salmon and eel

Street delight

By Robin G |

We went to Wild Goji Restaurant at the conclusion of a business trip. We wanted something light and tasty. The enoki wrapped in green onion, ramen, miso, and hot and sour soup were particularly good. We were reminded of some our favorite Osaka restaurants because the food was presented with care, the dishes were memorable, and flavors complex. This was the least expensive dinner we had in San Antonio and one of the best.

Great Asian cuisine

By Jairo D |

Wow wow wow. Went with some friends and the wifey for lunch the first time. Place is hip and modern good prices not you average Asian places I love there Bara Bara (pork belly) on a stick and there pinto box. Fried cheese CAKE was good too. Hope we can Visit during happy hour because it looks like they got some good specials.

Not Terrible

By Teresamea |

I ordered the Live Tree and it was “ok.” With so many good dining options in town I would give this a pass. Nothing terrible but no joy in the food, service or atmosphere.

Best Japanese cuisine in SA

By PeDeMa |

I really love sushi, rolls, and ramen. This place has it all. Great dishes authentic taste and very affordable. Everything we order was great. Don’t mind the strip mall where it is at. Overlook that and you will have great food.

I loved the Lettuce Wrap!

By CharleySays |

Well if I lived in San Antonio I think I'd be dropping into this place regularly. It's a nice little upscale Fusion kind of food and we were very pleased with every dish we got at our table. The staff is very friendly very helpful and attentive but not overwhelming. I like that a lot. Bring friend you want to chat with and explore the sushi menu we only had one roll at our table as we were having some of the other Fusion dishes like the lettuce wrap which was very nice. Like I said I'd be coming to this place more often if I was in San Antonio even though it looks like one of those little ho-hum places hidden in the strip mall it is much more than that thank you for being available for our lunch we loved it

Another great Japanese restaurant in San Antonio

By ehrinpapa |

We came here at Reverse Happy Hour, with an appetite ready to feed a village. We arrived at around 9:23 pm and the reverse happy hour didn't start till 9:30 pm. Unfortunately we couldn't start ordering till exactly 9:30 pm.. But definitely worth the wait. We started with two appetizers for half the price, edamame and gyoza. The quality was very good and the portion was more than we expected. For the entrees, we tried the Ramen Stir fry and the Eel Love and Rainbow Roll. The Ramen Stir fry was okay but the sushi was delicious! We came in hungry and left very satisfied. Definitely recommend this for those looking for a new Japanese resto to try out. They offer free miso soup for checking in and fried ice cream for leaving a yelp review! Yaaay for free food!
