We had lunch at the cafe when we visited the wildflower center. It's not a 'destination' cafe, but our lunch was fine - soups, salads and sandwiches and the price was reasonable.

Great place to pick up a sandwich after a beautiful morning walk at the center. It mainly has sandwiches, salads and soups. I had a chicken salad sandwich with their pasta salad and it was fabulous.

I was happy to eat here, but mostly because it's a way to support the wildflower center. The cafe is the sort of thing you'd expect from a captive food place. The food is not especially diverse, but it's reasonable and not horribly expensive. (Neither is it inexpensive - this is, after all, fundamentally about convenience.)

It was helpful to have a cool space to sit and refresh ourselves after walking around the Wildflower Center for a couple of hours. The food and service were great.

Although the menu options are limited, the food was healthy and reasonably priced. We ordered 2 salads and enjoyed the hibiscus iced tea. The waitress was friendly and good. If you do not intend to eat at the cafe, find a place on 290 as there are no options close to the Wildflower Center.

They automatically charge 20% tip after diners order at the counter (ref. Picture of receipt uploaded). Its presumptuous👎👎👎👎👎👎! They should give us a choice. This inappropriate policy was aggravated by the lack of quality control (QC) on the quality of their spring mix in my chicken cobb salad. I had to be watchful of which leaf is yellow or brownish or should have been tossed out (ref. Picture of old spring mix also uploaded). In fairness, I rated 3 instead of 1 as the rest of my salad’s ingredients - carrots, feta, egg, chicken, tomatoes - were fresh. My hubby liked his smoked brisket sandwich. Most of all, the young man in a green shirt offered to give my husband a refill of his tea.

Outdoor seating to enjoy the nice soroundi ng flower center or inside with fresh flowers and hand painted chairs on each table. Mostly soups and sandwiches in the menu, the food was good and the service very friendly. They also sell comercial frozen popsicles for the kids. The cafe is right beside a cool little tower that you can go up after enjoying a nice view and burn some calories. We enjoyed our visit even with the place packed up lunch time.

Small cafe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Visited 1/31/18. Prices were very reasonable and portions just right. We both had salads and they were great! They have both canned and fountain sodas, teas, coffee, and hot cocoa. We tried the hibiscus mint tea and I loved it. The service was kind and professional. They did not have the cheesecake available due to it being off-season. I would eat here again. Also nice to know eating here helps fund the LBJ garden.

I was pleasantly surprised by the selection of salads and sandwiches as well as the reasonable prices.

We spent a wonderful spring day communing with nature and the various vignettes available to enjoy. The native plants are interspersed between active trails or benches to sit and ponder. We were very pleasantly surprised that the Center reciprocates with our Dallas Arboretum.

We dined outside and it was very pleasant. I had the homemade soup which was very tasty. Good selection on the children's menu which includes fresh fruit, My husband had the mediterranean salad which was a nice size. They were super busy on the day we were there but handled it well.

Our favorite part of the cafe was the decor. Lovely colors, patio, painted chairs. We had the pimiento cheese sandwich, which had very little of the cheese spread, and an average tortilla soup.

light lunch was perfect, home made chicken salad and pimento cheese were very good with homebaked breads and refreshing tea hit the spot!

Liked it all! Service was fast, the food was very good and the windows overlooked the beautiful flowers

After walking the grounds of the Wildflower Center, this is a nice place to rest your tired feet. Simple food, but fresh and excellent. Good for a break for tea on a hot day, too.

If you are at the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Gardens, this is a great place to have lunch. Since you must pay to get into the Gardens it's not really an option unless you are already there. The salads and sandwiches are excellent. The service was good. It's a really a cute place to have a relaxing lunch.

We had a wonderful lunch here after enjoying a spa visit nearby. I love the pumpkin soup and the aquaduct salad. The Mediterranean vinaigrette dressing was delicious and light. Hibiscus tea was good too. Nice place to relax and enjoy the scenery.

A quaint little eating area with great coffee, cookies, ice cream, etc. Quiet, and you can watch the visitors go by. I have a family member who is a docent here, and it is fun to wait, work and enjoy a bit of quiet until the shift is over. The Cafe is right aside the inner courtyard, and you can take your coffee outside if you wish. The gift shop is across the square, a few feet away.

Liked the café, not too much to choose from but all seemed well prepared and tasty. Friendly staff and nice views.

We ate a mid-afternoon lunch at the cafe and were able to be seated immediately on the patio. It was the perfect temperature, our service was great, the food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. One slight disappointment - they were out of the King Ranch Chicken Casserole. Also, the "cream" served with the coffee was Coffeemate. However, our veggie quesadilla and our veggie sandwich were tasty! If you're going to the Wildflower Center, I highly recommend.

Good, healthy food. Very helpful with the grand children. Don't miss the Hybiscus tea!

One of my favorite places. Great place to take a guest or client. The prices are reasonable and the food quality is excellent. I especially love the Hibuscus mint tea. Great atmosphere.

Really good food and excellent service. Nice atmosphere in the cafe but prices are a tad high.....Having to add more works, good iced tea

Menu selections perfect for one hungry husband and his fresh fruit and veggie wife. We loved the setting. There was truly not anything to dislike.

Family needed a bit of air conditioning and a bit of water, so we stopped in after our nice walk (shortish) from Visitor Center and back again.

I was disappointed that half of the trails were closed when we visited and they did not advise us of the situation. What was opened was very nice. The restaurant was not very good.

Very tasty, plus a beautiful atmosphere. A great combination! Delicious food at reasonable prices, good service, Chef Jaime is a great cook and a wonderful family man. I'll go back again, for sure.

By the time we had in for a couple of hours in an extremely hot day at the center, we were very grateful to have the cafe to visit. There was delicious and cold iced tea, sandwiches made on the spot, and a variety of other things on the menu, all fresh and reasonably priced. It was exactly what we needed!

The setting was outside amidst the wildflowers and the salad was fresh with homemade dressing. The hibiscus mint tea was a treat.

This cafe is inside the Lady Bird Johnson wildflower grounds. You must pay to get in. The cafe makes up for the rather dull grounds. Lots of bushes and trees and very few flowers. Boring. The cafe however was very good. I had the pimiento cheese on sourdough with pasta salad and it was real tasty and filling. The girls had the chicken breast sandwich with hibiscus tea and good cookies for desert. Fair prices and air conditioned.

Light meals available at a reasonable price. The avocado wrap with fruit was tasty as was the ham and cheese on a bun. Soft drinks and ice tea are available and a few desserts like cheese cake. The cafe is pretty with flowers painted on the chair seats and fresh wild flowers on each table inside. There is table service for both inside and on the outside patio.

Worth a stop for lunch if you are visiting the Wildflower Center. Mostly soup & sandwiches. Well made & fresh. A good deal and pleasant outdoor seating.

The food was very good and healthy. We all enjoyed sandwiches or salads. Good quantity. The wait, though, was SO LONG. The wait staff apologized, telling how full they were. I expect they are always full at lunch on a March weekend. They just did not have the staff to accommodate. Still, worth the wait.

This is a wonderful place to relax and reflect on the paths you plan to take, or the ones you just left. Enjoy an iced tea and a BLT while you listen to the warm central TX breezes waft through the gardens, from your cozy seat under the pergolas.

It's a delightful little restaurant in the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower center. The wooden chairs are all hand-painted with flowers. (You might miss this if you are collapsing from the heat.)The sandwich I had was on delicious, whole grain bread and the veggies on it were very fresh. The hibiscus mint tea was very refreshing on a hot day.

Had lunch there as a break from the heat while strolling the Gardens. The toasted turkey & Swiss was nice. Service was adequate. As many other reviewers have stated, the Hibiscus & Mint Tea is very refreshing on a hot day! Apparently the tea is locally sourced, but not blended on the premises!

Our visit to Lady Bird Johnson's Wildflower Center ended just in time for lunch. The Wildflower Center Cafe offers various, reasonably priced lunch selections to include delicious soups. It was a nice day, so we were served and enjoyed our lunch outside. There isn't a whole lot of restaurants in the area, so having lunch at the Center was very convenient.

We had a delightful lunch, with a lovely view of the courtyard. The waitress was charming and helpful. The sandwiches and salads were imaginative, tasty and healthy. I will go back there again next time I visit the gardens.

Lunch was great. They have an outdoor dining area. Vegetarian fare was available. Salads and Sandwiches were the norm.

Everything on their menu is good. Best chicken salad on wonderful bread.

A good choice for lunch while visiting the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. We ordered sandwiches, which were very tasty. Service was slow, and they had run out of some food items, so probably better to go earlier. Seating is limited, though some people ate outdoors (could be uncomfortable in the heat of summer)

We had a lovely light lunch here - simple cafe food. Our hostess was also the chef - brilliant on all fronts. Thank you :)

We had a delightful lunch here. Great food and a beautiful setting. Later in the day I met a person who had had their wedding there and loved it.

This cafe not only has refreshing light sandwiches (served with a side of fresh fruit to keep it light) but the patio is delightfully situated in view of many of the closest, beautiful gardens near the main courtyard.
Good selection, reasonable prices pleasant seating area
The Wildflower Center Cafe has a pretty good extensive menu. At lunchtime we had a short wait for an outside table. As vegetarians we found lots of choices and the lemonade was delicious. Highly recommended.
