Went to Wilkie G’s for a great seafood dinner. JT served me in the bar area, and was excellent! Very attentive when my tea or water got low, checked in after my meal arrived. I had the Tilefish grilled, which was superb! Always love coming to Willie G’s!

We love going on Friday nights. The food is great and wonderful prices during Happy Hour. We always ask to sit in Karla's section. She is friendly and knows exactly what we want. We look forward to this evening every week.

BEST service ever! Trey the manager was AMAZING! Thank you for making girls' night out spectacular. The Rainbow Roll was one of the best we have ever had, the lobster bisque was so flavorful and not overly salty as many are. The drinks and the atmosphere was perfect. Visiting Houston from Austin and always enjoy Willie G’s. Definitely a top spot for seafood in Texas. The raw oysters are all delicious and we loved the po-boy and gumbo. Also the beignets are fabulous! Great service - ask for Kara!

Traveled to Houston from Dallas, and heard lots of great things about Willie G’s, so we decided to give it a shot. This place was wonderful for date night! The food was great, but our server Paul was what put the experience over the top. He was very professional and kind. We will definitely be back to Houston for the great food and excellent customer service.

I went in for a birthday dinner with my girlfriend and her family off a recommendation and the food was fantastic but the service was immaculate Catherine went above and beyond for us and made the night special I’ll never forget how great we were treated thank you again and we will definitely come back!

Catherine was our server and recommended the snapper Melissa and and blueberry cheesecake. Everything was delicious . We will definitely be back!

I came in the other night to have dinner. I ordered the red snapper. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared. JT was my server and he was awesome. He anticipated my needs and made my experience memorable.

I love willie G‘s, but we usually come for dinner when people are in town. Did happy hour the other day and it was fantastic. Really great deal or different sushi rolls with all on point. Also enjoy the golf oysters and boiled shrimp. Almost everything is eight or nine dollars so it’s a delicious deal. We had a great time with Kara our server and Charlie at the bar. Fun happy hour crowd.

After checking out of the post oak hotel I stopped my vehicle to get a few items from bouchée, The valet approached and said you can’t park there and I said I’ll be two minutes he ran off in a huff and posted a large green violation sticker on my vehicle he was employed by Willie geez thanks for the warning I’ve never eaten there and never will and I’ll make sure to tell everybody how rude and inconsiderate your valet is

Dinner was amazing, our server Cindy did a phenomenal job and provided excellent service making sure everything was well taken care of. I recommend dining and will return. Be sure to request Cindy she’s the best!

Went to Willie G's last night with my 3 sisters and mother. Food was delish! Surprisingly, none of us ordered a cocktail, but the dessert and entrees were fully satisfying. We had an appetizer that is no longer listed on the menu, but was recommended by someone who frequents the restaurant - buffalo cauliflower. Soooo good! For entrees, we had the Pan Seared Salmon and the Bourbon Street (pasta). The blueberry cheesecake was the icing on the cake. The ambience was great, and our waitress Carla was very attentive and personable. Plan to go back for Happy Hour!

When I visited Willie g’s during the week while I was in town, I was blown away the cuisine was outstanding and the service was first-rated . Our server, John, went above and beyond to make sure that my fiancée and I were well taken care of.

I stayed at the Marriott West Loop next door and walked over to have a meal after reading good reviews. I ordered the fried catfish and substituted the fries with broccolini and tomato. My entree arrived quickly and hot. I have never tasted catfish so well prepared!! Kudos to the kitchen crew!! Julio was my server, and he was a delight. The restaurant decor was beautiful, and the atmosphere was wonderful. I hope to visit here again!!

Wow! This is the place to be for the incredible service, fresh fish and fantastic ambiance. That isn't even starting to talk about the wine selection and the expertise of the sommelier Josh. We started with the most flavorful oysters. The char on the fish - so flavorful and the fish was cooked to perfection. Generous portion of sides and the King crab fried rice was fantastic. Even the salsa verde was one of the best ever. I was traveling for business and staying at the Marriott. This area has so many choices. However - Willie G's was so fantastic - went two nights in a row!!!!! This was even acknowledged by the manager. The come out to make sure we enjoyed the spanish makeral - what a talented professional. Our waiter - he was fantastic. Professional and able to give recommendations when asked. Clearly he had not only high standard of service but excelled at his job. Between the food and the service - this place is an absolute must try --- over and over. HIGHLY recommended for anyone looking for a delicious dinning experience with a wide variety of fantastic fresh fish/oysters/shrimp and more. If you enjoy wine, I don't think you will find a better restaurant.

The seafood cheese dip appetizer was delicious. We loved our server Abraham! Parking was $13.00 and we didn’t see anywhere else to park except for the pay for parking.

I had a great dinner experience with Deantae as my waiter. He was very nice, he kept our drinks flowing, and our food was excellent. We had a party of 9 and we all had an enjoyable experience.

Tonight I had the pleasure of having the best server by the name of Catherine. She recommended that I have the Cajun Vegetable pasta with the crab cakes. Great suggestion and she also had great conversation. I’ll definitely return for the good food and her service!

Our server Ferrari was very helpful and nice. Definitely enjoyed his service. The food is a bit overpriced but overall great experience.

Everything was perfect from the food to the waiter. The waiter gave us excellent service his name was Richard . This is the restaurant in the galleria area . I will definitely go again and hope to have Richard as our waiter. Can’t wait to tell my friends of this delightful experience.

The food was tasty .. I had the seared tuna that was cooked well! Our visit was only for a quick pit stop but Bobby our waiter was great, knowledgable and friendly!

I went on a nice evening for dinner. My boyfriend I had a couple drinks. We loved the crab cakes and the sparkling moscato recommended by our server Deante. He was very friendly and welcoming and made our experience enjoyable. 10/10 would go again!

It was my 1st time at Willie G and the experience was beyond this world.. I had the Gulf Snapper Melissa that comes with the freshest snapper, shrimp, scallops. The customer service you cannot get anywhere. Our waiter Taz is the best. Come and ask for Taz and come to meet Trey the manager. He treats you with the best upfront comfort from the time you walk in the door..

JT’s service was fantastic and the food was amazing! JT gave my husband and I recommendations on what to order since we had never been here before and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend Willie G’s Seafood!

Been taking my wife out for 23 years to top rated restaurants. Was in Houston and decided to celebrate our 23rd Anniversary at Willie Gs. Mad reservations 2 weeks prior. So we get there about 2 minutes early and checked in. Said our table would be ready in a few minutes. Fifteen minutes after our reservation time they asked if we wanted a booth or table. Five more minutes and we were finally seated. So 20 minutes AFTER our reservation time we were seated. They knew it was our Anniversary and other than Happy Anniversary offered us nothing for seating us late and nothing for our Anniversary, Not looking for "Free" stuff but when you do that to a customer on their Anniversary and offer nothing, bad business. Will never return....and the food wasn't that great. JS

My friends and I have dined at Willie G's a few different occasions. Whether for a fun night out or to celebrate an occasion we have never left disappointed. What sets this apart - mainly is the service, professionalism and attentiveness of now, 'go to' server of choice- Ryan M. If you are looking for an experience from start to finish with all the stops of to an enjoyable evening- request Ryan M- it is perfection from start to finish!

We came into town for a business trip and decided we wanted seafood. Sarah took amazing care of us and was very helpful. Cant wait to come back in October and request her.

there are a lot of sea food restaurants in Houston. this trip to Willy's was very sub par. It was a Sunday around 3:00 and it felt like we were a burden to the staff. We got pushed outside and the road noise was so bad that you had to yell to talk to each other. the Food was so so. I we have eaten here many times but this one was not a good experience.

I love this place! My family and I have been coming here for awhile but this experience was very different. The hospitality that trey had with our family exceeded what I have ever experienced! Very good job Trey!!!

Location and ambience were great. For convenience, free valet parking, remember to all tip them after. We were promptly seated. Starter-Crab and Lobster Roll and Oyster Bar Trash was very tasty. Soup-Lobster Bisque was perfect Main Meal -Bourbon Street and King Crab Fried Rice very Yummy. Desert-Berry Cheesecake superb. We will definitely be back

I just finished my estimated 50th meal at Willie G's and was served my favorite off menu meal of Flounder Piccata. Yes, it should be a regular feature. There is NO BETTER Seafood entree anywhere. I challenge "seasoned" and well respected and friend GM George to make it a regular item like it was for over a decade. Great food, great servers, great decor and fabulous menu. If it swims or has a shell this is where you want to go. Oh, and the SUSHI is wonderful.

All the food was terrific, as usual; and the service a notch above what had experienced many times before. Continue the great work George and TEAM. You and La Griglia are neck and neck for me in Houston/maybe all Texas.

We don’t get fresh seafood like this in Ohio! What a delicious and fun night with our friends. We loved the whole fish - the strawberry grouper was delicious! Try the crab fried rice, the charbroiled oysters and the sushi, which also was excellent. The service made our night - Kara was a delight! Be back next time we are in town.

In a city blessed with such food quality and a wide diversity of restaurants, Willie G’s is a solid choice but certainly has the vibes and menu associated with a chain (albeit a high end one) and therefore isn’t particularly memorable. Service and food all very good, but simply falls short of some of the independent restaurants scattered throughout the city. If you’re staying nearby or simply around the Galleria, you won’t be disappointed, but neither will you rave. There are more pleasurable experiences to be had in The Heights or Midtown to be sure. And when you depart, the $7 mandatory valet just provides a final little reason for pause.

On the recommendation of a coworker, I met friends for appy's and drinks yesterday. Our server, Sarah, was excellent! Being first timers to the restaurant, we relied on her recommendations and we all loved the seafood martini, bacon wrapped shrimp and the crab cakes. Definitely recommend this place AND Sarah!!

Came to the restaurant with my girlfriend and sat in richards section. Service was spot on. Timely and professional. Great food as well. Hats off to the chef. I highly recommend Willie G’s and Richard as your waiter.

Very friendly, made great recommendations, even when we received our food and begin eating, Me or my pals never once had to ask for a refill, she was on top of everything. 5 star food with a 5 star server. I wouldn't recommend eating at this restaurant. I ate here recently and the quality of the food was horrible. I stayed at the Uptown Post Oak Hotel next to the restaurant and ordered a meal from the restaurant that was delivered via room service. The quality of the salad was worse than a salad bar; the fish had an imitation fish taste; and the gumbo was watery and the file tasted like cigarette ashes. I literally trashed the entire meal after a few bites. I would recommend finding another seafood restaurant in the area - e.g. Pappadeaux doesn't have the same upscale atmosphere as Willie G, but you will receive better quality food.

This is become my new favorite lunch and happy hour spot. I don’t write reviews very often, but this one is worth it. I’ve traveled all over the world and I dine out a lot in Houston and I’m so glad that I have re-discovered willie G‘s again because it is, wonderful. I love the fresh oysters and the blueberry cheesecake is out of this world. We always have a really good time with our servers especially Kara and when you have a chance to meet George the manager, he is a pro and lovely.

This place was recommended by several friends that live in Houston. We had a great time. The food was delicious - highly recommend the red snapper, King crab legs and we have the seafood tower also, which was fantastic. George the manager visited our table and he was very gracious - we will be back again for sure.

We hadn’t been to this restaurant in 30 plus years since it was on Post Oak Lane. We used to love to belly up to the bar and have oysters. Wow was amazed at what it has become now. Just gorgeous and what a menu. Our waiter, Roger, recommended the sea bass with crab meat and shrimp. It was delicious. Then we ordered the beignets and Creme brûlée for dessert. Six people could have shared the beignets. Beautiful presentation on everything and the Old Fashioneds were fabulous. Can’t wait to return again soon.

Richard was our server and he was great ! Great food and delicious desert! Will definitely come back .we first started with the oyster bar trash. Then we had the Caesar salad and I had the lobster bisc. For entree I had the Snapper Melissa and it had shrimps , crab, scallop and some king crab fried rice. Richard went above and beyond on the menu.

Best gumbo in town! I visit Willie G’s whenever I am in the neighborhood - or have friends who want great seafood. Had an awesome time the other night with family - tried the Jumbo Gumbo and loved it! Restaurant was very busy, while Kara did a great job to make us feel special and have a great time.

This seafood restaurant is well-located within the Post Oak hotel complex. Easy arrival, very efficient valet parking. The dining area is large, but divided into smaller places to make it cozier. Service is efficient and effective, and there is a circulating manager supervising and making sure your every wish and need is satisfied. Cocktails were well -prepared and attractively served. While the selection of wines by the glass is limited, the wine list by the bottle is very good, with something for everybody. The Lobster bisque was simply exquisite, full of lobster flavor, creamy and very satisfying. We enjoyed two whole fish, a Rainbow Trout and a Black Bass, expertly prepared and simple enough for the flavor of the fish to come through. The sides were perfect, although we added some Parmesan Fries and Roasted cauliflower. Overall a very satisfying visit, worth a repeat.

Came to Wille G's for a quick lunch(being we had a flight to catch we were in a hurry) our server Catherine well understanding of our situation and provided us with the most prompt attentive service! Catherine recommended the Snapper Mellissa which was phenomenal as well as the Miso Glazed Seabass! We were in and out and were able to catch our flight on time. I took my son and wife here to celebrate my son’s birthday. The service was great, the waitress explained the menu and told us about the daily specials. The food was delicious and we got large portions, we were very happy with our meals. If you like seafood you should eat here.

This was my second time dining in at Willie G’s in the past two months and both times were superb. My only suggestion was that on the second visit (two days ago) our server could’ve been more well-versed, but it wasn’t anything that really affected the experience. Anyways, the real star of the show was TREY the manager on duty. From the second we walked in, he was so hands on, dedicated, and helpful… He was at the hosts stand with the hostess when we walked in and told her he’ll seat us because she was doing some other task (See! Initiative!) We watched him buzz around the room constantly taking the opportunity to help out wherever he could. It led me to point out to my friend 1 on 1 and say “That’s what you call a really good manager. He’s probably the GM, and you can see how he’s earned his position.” I cannot rave enough about this guy. Anyway, at the end of our meal when it came time to pay, I was going to pay with my Comp Dollars from Golden Nugget being that I’m the top earned tier and well, why not? And my server stated “Oh, we don’t actually accept these cards only Landry’s Select Club.” So I looked at her with a smile that suggested I was slightly irritated and said “Yes… You do…….. Just go bring it to your manager and he’ll know what to do with it.” TBH, I just wanted her to go away and ask because why are you stating you don’t accept those cards just because YOU haven’t seen one before? So she proceeds to ask further questions about the card of if I want to use points or add points, yada yada yada…. And I’m like “All you can do with these cards is use points here. Lol. Just go give it to your manager…” and she finally disappears. A short time later, Trey comes back presents the card to me with the receipt and asks how everything was and how everything was with our server. I said “She was good but she could be a little more knowledgeable, but it’s fine! We still had a wonderful experience and aren’t going to penalize her or anything. It was small!” And Trey stated that she let him know about the situation and he was just so dedicated to wowing us and going above and beyond. He was so kind and went next door to bring us a complimentary butter cake from Mastros. It was really, really kind. We couldn’t stop talking about the level of service and Trey’s determination to go above and beyond - even after we had left the restaurant. Plus, everything here is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS and the ambiance is beautiful. You will definitely have an amazing time!! Thanks again, Trey!!!!

First time at this restaurant have been to the one in Galveston but this food was horrible not worth the money spent over a 100 bucks, parking was horrible suggest you valet park it's easier. We do not recommend this place at all. Don't want to name other restaurants or recommend other places in that area this isn't to knock anyone and support the other but this has to be put out there.

Had friends in town and they wanted the best seafood in Houston. Willie G’s did it again - this is the place! The whole fish was delicious - we had a flounder and a rick fish - so good! The sushi is always a standout as well. Great service - Kara made the evening super fun and we enjoyed it from start to finish.

Whenever my family and I dine at Willie G's Seafood, we ask for Deante. I can't stress this enough about the fantastic service Deante provides. From the moment he greets us, his genuine warmth and infectious personality makes us feel right at home. It's rare to encounter someone so truly pure and kind-hearted in their work. Deante is not only incredibly attentive and knowledgeable about the menu, but he also has a way of making every interaction feel personal and sincere. He anticipates our needs without being asked, and his recommendations are always enjoyable. Clearly, he takes immense pride in his work and genuinely cares about the happiness of his customers. He doesn't just provide good service, he makes our entire dining experience special. Willie G's is LUCKY to have him!

Maybe I am being harsh but this is no 11, on the basis of reviews from many reviewers, most of whom have only ever done 1 review, really? Are they paying for their reviews? Have any of these people ever eaten At Michelin star restaurants across Europe ? Place was pretentious, looked lovely but everything felt like they were looking down on guests. Service was about as insincere as you get. Food had flavour, and gumbo was tasty but the Seafood plate was a bit of a mess on a bed of fries, flavours were lost. The dips/sauces with it, tasted like two versions of ketchup and horseradish ( was it supposed to be tartare? ). Dessert menu looked sickly sweet, so declined. Disappointing overall and expensive. If this is rated so high in Houston, then people don’t understand what is meant by great food.

My Gf and I came to dinner for our anniversary and Richard was taking care of us. Our experience was phenomenal! Will be coming back again thanks to him.

I went to eat here Sunday morning for brunch. I had the French toast and chicken & beignets. It was phenomenal. Our server Aleni was so helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back!

We were in for dinner the other night and Paul took great care of us!!!! Very attentive and with a great attitude.

All I can say is what an experience. as we entered, we were immediately greeted and sat at our table. The bus person came over and poured our water and told us that our waiter would be over very soon. Justin, our waiter, came over and asked us for a drink order and gave us menus both of the specials and the regular menu. As we looked at the menu, it was hard to decide the appetizers, so when Justin returned, we had asked him for advice on the appetizers. He suggested the bang bang shrimp, and I had decided on the mixed seafood cocktail. To start our meal, we decided on the wedge salad with ranch dressing and the lobster bisque soup. Our main courses were the Seabass and the seafood fettuccine. The appetizers were absolutely outstanding. The bang bang shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the seafood martini was filled with shrimp, crab fingers, and lump crab meat slaw. Soon following the appetizers, our main courses arrived. My date chose the Seabass woodfired with broccolini, and it was amazing. My seafood fettuccine had shrimp and crab meat, and the fettuccine sauce was to die for during our meal. We were greeted by the manager, Trey he came over to check for satisfaction and was very interested in how our dining experience was going. My date told him that we were in town for my birthday, at that moment, Trey said please do not order dessert as I will take care of it. At the end of our meal, Trey brought a surprise dessert, which was made especially for me. I am truly grateful for our special dining experience and extremely thankful to Trey and Justin for everything that they had done in order to make it a memorable outing. Thank you so very much. We look forward to seeing you the next time we’re in Houston.

The best steak and Caesar salad ever!! The dressing was a perfect blend of Parmesan and garlic umami! The rib eye was cooked just right and seasoned to perfection. Beautiful atmosphere!

Always stay at Post Oak Hotel and have eaten at Willy G quite a few times. Walked out tonight after experiencing unfriendly server and waiting over 20 minutes for a bottle of wine. Started badly when after 10 minutes we had to beckon for his attention and he asked what we wanted, service was my reply. Hope dinner next door is better tomorrow night. Tonight we moved to a nearby Italian institution for a great meal.

Not only was the food great, but the service was the best. Trey was our server and made us feel special. He made sure that water and tea was refilled in a consistent manner. His recommendations were spot on. It's really nice to have the attentiveness that he exhibited.

I had the pleasure of being taken out by family for my birthday last weekend. The food was great! And I cannot say enough about the service. Our server’s name was Rick Hernandez and he was very attentive during a busy time. Will come back l again soon.

Hubby treated me out for an amazing dinner last night the food was excellent and the service was even better. We had the pleasure of having Cindy as our server, she was both kind and friendly. She recommended the spicy yellowtail and calamari both were delicious. For desert we had blueberry cheesecake. Can’t wait to come back and try those scallops!

We came for the oysters!!!!! And got so much more! Our waiter JT was awesome! Offered the best drinks on the menu and offered great service. The bourbon street oysters are a must have folks! We will definitely be back.

We chose Willie G’s Uptown for our Thanksgiving dinner, and their buffet menu looked great with tons of choices. We showed up early (our reservation was for 3:30pm) and were seated pretty promptly. The restaurant setting is very nice. By the time we were seated, the restaurant was almost completely out of everything on the buffet except sides and never recovered. Prime Rib -gone (they literally ran out by 3pm) Ham-never saw any. Waited almost an hour for some turkey. Finally got enough for four people. Everything was in short supply. What we did have was very good however. Overall, an incredible disappointment for a holiday meal. That said, it’s not just about the issue it’s also about the resolution. Our server provided great service. The restaurant was crowded and others were visibly disappointed so something obviously went badly wrong in the planning for the day. The stars are for the service.

Definitely not a fan of this eatery. Our service was barely satisfactory. Server was not very personable or attentive. As far as food, we have had much better versions of most everything here somewhere else at a lower price point. The Oysters were not good at all. The gumbos were not good. The entrees were okay and nothing more. The portions were not very generous. The only items that were extraordinary and memorable were the desserts. I don’t see us returning.

Came back to Houston for the weekend and had to go back to willie G‘s. We had a great time again. Kara was super fun as our server recommendations and combinations were fantastic. We had the black and red snapper with lump crab meat and blackened shrimp and fried rice on the side it was delicious, the oysters are awesome

Deante took such great care of us when my husband and I came in for a late dinner. Awesome service. Thank you! We look forward to coming back next month!

From the very moment we were seated to the end our server Fredy and his attention to our service was perfect. Our water glasses were always being topped off without ever having to ask for more and when it came to our other drinks he always asked to see if we wanted another round of what we were having. At one point a member of my family dropped her table napkin and before even getting the chance to ask for another Fredy already had a clean one ready for her to use. Fredy was very attentive to picking up our empty plates and making sure any trash was picked up as we enjoyed our dinner. I am a big fan of pasta and upon reviewing the menu I didn't see any and when I inquired about it he was ready to give me the description of the pasta dish available and I was very pleased with his recommendation. I came here with my family and everything we tried was amazing! We had some oysters, sushi and lobster bisque soups before our entrees and everything from the presentation to the flavors were wonderfully prepared! I will definitely be coming back here and sharing my experience with friends and family and will tell them to ask for Fredy!!

I can appreciate a restaurant and staff who provide excellent service even when it's 1 hr before closing. We never felt rushed and they all worked together. saif was our server and he did very well managing his tables, especially after having a large party seated 30 mins before closing. he made sure to check on us in between and he remained cool and calm. My boyfriend and I stopped in to have brunch with his parents and everything- the valet, ambiance, food, and especially our server, Richard, were AMAZING!!! Can’t wait to come back again, we’ll definitely be asking for Richard! Never had to ask for anything, he had the most amazing suggestions, I’d trust this man with my life.

I have to brag a little or ok maybe alot 5 stars hands down. Not only was the food the absolute best but the service was amazing. Cindy was our server she was such a delight to be around. Very attentive and was on top of everything. We had the peaches sidecar ( peach whisey and cognac martini... sugar rim.. we tried the bourbon roasted oysters. LOVED THEM ( They are frkn delicious... garlic butter.. crab mix and croutons crumbs.. roasted...And our entree was the panseared scallops.. .. just to perfection. We will definitely be back and we will definitely ask for Cindy again. Thank you for such a pleasant visit.

Totally love breakfast and brunch here. They have a decent amount of parking and access into the building on many sides. The food is very good but not always consistent in quality. Wait staff could use more training as they don't seem to know their products or have much in the way of suggestions. It's loud in here even when the place isn't full.

Made reservations for my family at 1:15 pm for Christmas Lunch. At 1: 20 pm I'm told there are 8 reservations before mine. Really? Who organized this debacle? Food is normally good and so is service, but I wont be coming back here to celebrate a Holiday. They are too disorganized and care more about making money and overbooking than service. Its too late to go anywhere else, so people have to sit outside to wait for a table. Its 43 degrees outside. Its a covid fest in the "wait area" and super crowded. Merry Christmas to me. Bah humbug!

King crab was very dry and rubbery. Was expecting a higher end experience but realized that this isn’t like the old Willie G’s in Denver.

JT was an outstanding server. Suggested perfect drinks. Food was a little charred so he made sure to make it up. Never had a bad bite afterwards. Ask for JT’s section!

I like going to restaurants that are a whole experience— ambiance, food, drinks, music, waitstaff, etc. Willie G’s checks all the boxes! Our waiter was Sean M and he was wonderful. We did Houston Restaurant Week menu and it was delicious.

Our food was cooked to perfection. The staff, especially our server Catherine was phenomenal. She catered to our needs and was quite knowledgeable of the menu. We had a memorable evening celebrating birthdays, new jobs, and a new marriage. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to be!

What a great surprise to discover this restaurant in Houston while visiting. Came in from Boston and we have great seafood there so it’s difficult to impress us but they definitely did it Seafood Tower was fantastic and then we had to do the Southern Poboy thing so we thoroughly enjoyed the oyster and shrimp po boys. Also, the prawn dumplings are fantastic. Our service was great. We had a super fun time even though we were on a business lunch tall blonde girl her name was Carol.

When we arrived, we were somewhat surprised to find that the only parking available was valet; however, being the frugal couple that we are (seeing as how we knew we'd be spending $200 here for dinner), we found a few spots open on the nearby street which was a bit of a walk. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I noticed a posting at the front desk about a dress code and it even seemed like a male staff person in a rich suit and tie had walked up to examine us to ensure we were dressed appropriately. We were seated in a cozy booth. The ambiance of this restaurant gives the immediate vibe that it is classy and expensive. For example, no free bread here folks. My husband ordered oysters for his appetizer and I ordered calamari for mine; both were delicious and presented in a delightful manner. My husband ordered a whole fish grouper, but it came with no side so he had to also order some asparagus. I ordered the red snapper which came with a side of broccolini. Both were very flavorful. For dessert, we had the apple blondie, which was unbelievably heavenly. Afterward, we were definitely in a food coma for the rest of the evening.

JT was amazing as a server. He was so kind and very helpful. The food here was incredible!! The ambiance is wonderful too. They played great music!!

One word for this dining experience would be, immaculate! Everything from the access to the restaurant to our server, the taste and quality of it were amazing! It was my fiance's birthday and our server Sife made it very special! He was very knowledgeable about the food and recommended some sides to us and was friendly. 10/10

When we arrived for our 7pm reservation, there were no parking spaces in their very small lot. The only option was a $7 valet parking fee since valet parking took up the majority of the lot. We were told by the valet people that we could park in the two spots visible from outside the restaurant, but when we parked there, they told us we had to leave because those spots were reserved for valet parking. I thought this put a damper on the entire evening. If the food was good, that might have made up for this experience, but it was just mediocre quality. I don't know where you have to go for good seafood in Houston, but this was not it.

Took my boyfriend for a lil dinner night the place very much met expectations our server for the night Deante i believe recommended the miso sea bass it was the best and so was the service. I plan to visit again very soon 10/10!!

“De’ante’s Special” was beyond amazing. This is a special request you must ask for that is not currently listed on the menu with this title. De’ante was our server and he was one of the best waiters I’ve had. My family and I were a party of 16 and he was so attentive, fast, extremely polite and humorous with each and everyone one of us. My family and I will definitely be returning when we’re in town again! Thanks Willie G’s!!

Me and some friends were over due for a catch up, so we decided on Willie G’s and it did not disappoint! Initially we were there for some small bites and drinks, but our server, Deante, convinced us otherwise. He started us off with a top shelf margarita while we scanned the menu, but he ultimately decided for us. I and another went with the sea bass special, which ended up getting a nice wine pairing (I don’t remember which one) ! Our other friend had stuck with the scampi. Overall it was a great experience from the staff to the ambiance, and even better that we could valet!

The food and service was amazing!! The manager and my server were extremely attentive. I had the crab cakes and the only breading is on the top. They were delicious! For my entree I had the fried shrimp and ended with crème brûlée for dessert. Would love to go back when I come to visit Houston again.

The food was AMAZING and fresh out the kitchen! Our sever Dylan was IMPECCABLE and very knowledgeable on the menu and drinks that ultimately made our experience 10xs better. It was almost as if he was apart of the family. The atmosphere was perfect and the drinks were strong! We will absolutely be coming back to see Dylan, and Willie G’s!

Dinner was nice, good view, pretty decorations and great staff. Our waiter Saif was really nice and kind, gave us adequate time to order and a pleasant waiter. I ordered the surf and turf which was a clear 10/10 while expensive, definitely worth it.

I had such a great time here! The snapper melissa was divine and the bread pudding was amazing! Our server was Catherine and she was so attentive and she was the one who recommended the snapper! I want to go back and try the happy hour, I will ask for Catherine again!

I went with my girl friend on a business lunch. We had a bunch of iced tea, calamari and the fried chicken bits, then salads. Perfect for what we needed to get done and Paul was super friendly and patient! Will be back next month .

Came in by myself for lunch while visiting Houston as a friend recommended it. I don’t really write reviews very often, but I wanted to on this one because it was such a great place. Thoroughly enjoyed my gumbo and sushi for lunch and had a great conversation and laughs with my server, she was wonderful. Kudos to the management and service and the excellent sushi guys.

Christmas Dinner 2022-amazing! We travelled from Ireland to spend Christmas in Houston. We booked Willie G’s for Christmas Day dinner based on Trip Advisor reviews and the extensive menu. It did not disappoint. We had a wonderful meal, our server was Madison, everyone who came to our table was so pleasant and the food and drinks were wonderful. Leave room for dessert! The blueberry cheesecake is amazing!

On our second night in Galveston we had an amazing dinner here. Our server Gabby was so friendly and wonderful! She answered our many questions about the menu. I always enjoy coming to Willie G’s but this visit was amazing! Wanting to try something different; can’t thank Cindy A. enough for her amazing suggestion on the Miso Glazed Sea Bass! The dish was absolutely fantastic. However, equally fantastic was Cindy’s amazing customer service and attention. I personally want to thank her for making our visit wonderful.

Like other reviewers we appreciated the delicious food, excellent service and overall atmosphere. We asked for a quiet seat and were in a booth under some baffling and it was very quiet (except for mild , muffled, roars from bar area when the football game had a big touchdown). Our waiter was attentive and friendly and efficient. We both loved our salads (Caesar and a kale-cauliflower that had apples ans grapes and tomatoes in a very tasty combination). We appreciated the wide range of options (and prices) on the menu. Lots of fish options. I thought the fish tacos were great. I also had The French market beignets (10!) which were served with 3 different sauces. Delicious! It wasn’t cheap but it wasn’t outrageous and we enjoyed having a fine dining experience our last night in Houston.

Best southern seafood restaurant I have found outside of New Orleans. I have been here a few times in a year or so, and finally decided to review it because i love the food, the service and the vibe. Great music also. 🥳 Definitely try the fresh oysters, the lobster dumplings and the chicken and sausage gumbo+shrimp! Our server was great - fun blonde lady - and Ryan the mngr always takes care. be back soon.

The wife & I decided to take a trip to Houston from Dallas, and heard the food was great at Willy G’s, so we decided to give it a go. The food was delicious, but our server Paul was who made us truly love the place. He was knowledgeable about the menu, very attentive, and was just overall amazing. We will definitely be back to Willy G’s for the great food and excellent customer service.

First time in Houston and stayed at the Post Oak Hotel. Our dinner at Maestro’s was ok - but Willie G’s was awesome! Our friend, Kara from LA works here and recommended it - good call! We loved the Gumbo, the specialty oysters, miso sea bass and the wine selection was fabulous.

Had a wonderful lunch - came for business and stayed with friends for cocktails. This is a beautiful restaurant! Very impressive all around. Had a delicious salmon salad for lunch - while by colleagues enjoyed etoufee and oysters. Then moved into the bar for happy hour and wonderful sushi. Highly recommend Willie Gs. Applause to great service - Kara and Charlie.

Amazing seafood in the Galleria area!! Even better was the excellent service- our server Roger was Awesome- attentive and thoughtful, he made our experience memorable. The grilled oysters (all of them, seriously) the ahi tuna and the king crab fried rice were standouts…I wanna go again now after writing this review!

We were there on Saturday night Celebrating our Anniversary. Catherine was our server, she was really good explaining the menu and recommended the scallops, I really enjoyed it. For dessert we ordered the Blueberry cheese cake and she had them write Happy Anniversary on the plate, sure make it special. We definitely be back.
