Great service, great food, big variety on menu. Outdoor area for kids to play. Decor was great! Overall really a cool place to eat and party!

Despite my overly excited title, Willies is very good. It is mostly unhealthy food so you should probably avoid it if you are on a diet. Their burgers adn chicken are delcious and their fried jalapenos are delicious. They have a great beer selection that compliments the various food choices. The interior is a bit unclean. Not in the sense that it is never cleaned, more in the sense that a wooden table cannot be cleaned as efficiently as a metal or plastic table. Expect grimy looking tables and floors.

First trip to Willie’s and found it very enjoyable. Food was very good for the price & the beer ice cold with great selection. The catfish and shrimp was very solid and fried mushrooms excellent. Will consider returning next time through the area. Good service team.

Went here late one night for a drink and bite to eat, but ate as quickly as possible and escaped. The place was overrun with kids, which I don't expect late on a weekend. I understand kid-friendly, but this place was catering to them way too much and the parents just let them run wild. It's close to home, but I won't be going back for any reason.

On our way from the San Antonio Airport to our hotel by the Riverwalk, my Texas resident son took us to Willie's for lunch. He said, "Mom, you have to order their turkey mushroom burger!" Certainly glad that I took his advice, as it was delicious! Was a bit confused about their policy of paying for your food after you finish your meal, as in most similarly-styled places in California, you pay after ordering. Later got the feeling that this setup was to possibly ensure that our "food bringer" was more certain to get a tip...? The cute-funky decor in the place provides much for your eyes to feast upon, even an upside down pool table suspended from the ceiling! We chose to sit indoors as it was a very hot day, but there was adequate outdoor seating under shady trees. If you are a fan of turkey mushroom burgers, this ranks right up there at the top of the tastebud list, at least it did mine!

On business from out of town. Came for the crawfish that was excellent!!! Love the atmosphere. Easygoing, laid back, good food and libations.

Willie's advertise catfish meal. In my mind that would include the whole catfish like most other restaurants serve. Willie's gives you catfish straps which equates to about 1 to 1 1/2 piece of catfish depending on if you order the 3 or 4 piece dinner. What a rip off. Will never order the catfish again. 😒

Willie's is a really good burger joint..There's a lot of burger places in San Antonio and Willie's is up there with the best...plus if you're thirsty and like beer they serve up a 20 ounce beauty...Go for it.

Excellent food. Very good service. Shrimp street tacos were excellent. Consistently very good. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Cold weather advice: bring a jacket if the temperature outside is cool/cold. Building is not well insulated.

Long line- lost app ticket- out of wings- watered down drink- food, once we got it was great!!!!!! & mgr made it right- recognized the mistakes & made it right & that's why I will come back!

Our service was slow, sat down, waited over 25 minutes, before anyone came to take our order, then we didn't get what we had asked for, give them a third try and if still bad, wee wee Willie we will not go to.

I like Willie's because they have a variety of selections and probably the best Chili Cheeseburger you will find. Great salads (large in size, full meal), chicken fried steak is also one of my favorites.

We stopped at Willies because it was close to our hotel and the parking lot was packed... a good indicator of quality when you're in a new area. It looked fun and lively with lots of colorful flourescent lights and decor. It reminded me of a "Joes Crab Shack," but the menu was much more appealing and complete. We ordered shimp plates and they were wonderful! At under $8 per plate it was a fantastic bargain! They have an outdoor sitting area (though, it's San Antonio and hot so we chose the air conditioning) with misters to keep you cool and there is a giant sandbox play area for the kids. Let me stress though, the delicious food and great value are the key factors of visiting Willies! It's a must in you're in the area!

We stopped for lunch and the food was great plus our waitress Allison was fabulous. I ordered the Texas Fried chicken club with the onion rings and it was very tasty with the jalapeño aioli. Don’t forget dessert the peach cobbler with ice cream was delish! Enough for two!

Enjoyed the BBQ burger, fries and a beer. Service was friendly and prompt. Solid burger joint for any occasion.

Great local spot for reasonably priced burgers that are big and juicy. Fried pickles, nachos, great desserts. Perfect for families.

Ate here and it was awesome, I'd definitely return. The fried pickles were very good. My wife and I had the chicken strips and a cheeseburger and both were great. Our service was great and staff was friendly.

the fries were piping hot and the beer was iced to the perfect cold to combat the 100 degree weather outside. this place was a great place for a meeting of 8 photographers who wanted to talk and trade stories and prepare for the upcoming football season.... everyone had hamburgers, fried mushroom caps, and sandwiches.....service was okay, except that they completely forgot to bring someone his draft beer, even AFTER he reminded them.....

I liked the fact that they had a sand box for the kids to play but the fact that the play ground was clean & the outside patio was very nice viewing and decorated..the food was delicious, our waitress was very helpful & polite ..

My wife and I had a late lunch there today (Fri., Oct 16, 2015). This was our first return visit in over 10 years. The atmosphere is very casual, the side windows were all open and a very nice breeze was gently flowing throughout the dining area. Our server, Bobby, was fantastic. He was very attentive to the order and when he brought us our food, it was fresh and it was hot. Having forgotten the amount of food on an order, we made the "mistake" of ordering their beef nachos along with a bacon cheese burger and a chili cheese hot dog. Both the burger and hot dog came with a more than generous side of fries. The burger was large and extremely good. Much to my wife's surprise, expecting only one hot dog, she was served two. When the nachos were served, they came on a very large platter piled with chips covered with melted cheese and an ample amount of ground hamburger meat much like you find on most tacos. Also was a lettuce, tomato, and sour cream salad along with a cup of sliced jalapeno peppers. The peppers were not spicy hot but were very tasty. By the time we finished about 3/4 of the serving, we were full. It was then that our main dishes were delivered. All we did at first was just look at the amount of food that lied before us. We both managed to eat about half of our servings and brought all of the left-overs home. Their menu is very large and from what we saw that others had ordered, the food looked very good. We will most definitely be going back more often and trying their other offerings.

Great burger, average fries. Like the serving line to get in, order and seated. Nice ambience and down-home Southern feel... slow pace and can enjoy the experience. It was packed when I went for my first time last week. Overall, I'd recommend this as a relief from the ton of fast food burger joints out there.

I somehow always forget about this place but it's not because I don't like it !! Their fried pickles and jalapeños are the bomb ! Chicken tenders are fresh and hand battered burgers are some of the best and staff is always great but if your going for lunch it can get busy fast

Came in to sit on the patio today with the kids and ended up with Saul as our server! We got wonderful customer service and will be back soon to get the amazing crawfish!!

This is my go to place for chicken fried steak 🥳 Got a salad , side and big chicken fried steak for less than 12 bucks ! The service is way above average !

We had a great time here! The food was fantastic and the prices were reasonable. It was a little loud, but not too crazy. The drinks were very good and a little strong. A great visit!

I wasn't expecting much given the ambiance, but the seafood platter was tasty and the service was good. The downside is that you have to wait in line to order and then hope there is a table available after. Even if there are not tables, they still take orders and your kids have to stand around rather than sit at a table. Otherwise, a good experience.

There were four of us at the table , each with a different order. All the food was very good but the order of onion rings which we shared for starters was amazing. Even four of us could not finish them. We needed a to-go box for them, as well as for three of the entrees. A great place for a meal with a wide variety of dishes!

We had the Chips and Queso to start. It came out within 7 minutes and when we were finishing it our meals came out; perfect timing! I had the Cheddar Pepper Burger and it was everything I hoped it would be! Delicious! FYI: It's not a first date kind of burger. It's a little messy but worth every bite!

I had the chicken fried steak, it was delicious. The mashed potatoes were great but too much! My boyfriend had the roadhouse burger, it was so good!!! I had a few bites then wanted more!

Great place to eat in San Antonio. Best items are hamburgers and either fired mushrooms or onion rings. Staff is helpful and will split an order before serving. Join their club for free meals and email specials. I believe they are also in Houston, but have not visited one in Houston.

Came in to have lunch with my mother in law and our server was amazing! It was pretty busy but the food came out at a reasonable time and was hot. Natasha was amazing she brought us everything we needed and went above and beyond. The manager Ashley greeted us and made us feel welcome and helped us with our order since it was our first time. She came to our table to check to see how our meal was and if we needed anything. Our overall experience was delightful!

We stopped here before we visited The Pumpkin Patch right next door. We very much enjoyed our visit. Our waiter was super friendly and nice. The food was pretty good. I got a shrimp po boy which was huge. My significant other got the steak which he enjoyed. It's very laid back and has lots of chill vibes. The only thing I would suggest is maybe looking up the menu ahead of time since you order when you walk through the door and seat yourself.

I tried to join the rewards program. Unfortunately when I tried to get some points for the rewards program it wouldn't let me. I called the restaurant they essentially said sorry there's nothing we can do about it. I like their menu but I do not want to go back again based on this experience.

It is a great place to meet for dinner and great conversation. I have had different things at Willies. The onion rings and chicken tenders are great if you like fried fare. However, I ordered an oriental salad to go and it was just awkward. There was not much in the way of green salad and the won tons tasted greasy. The chicken was well fried. It was not great.

This is not the actually willie's that we went to, they don't have the IH10 and Leon Springs location, but I will say, that almost every week we are in there, We love the convenience of it and the food at this location is quite tastey. We really enjoy coming, we try to get Lee as our server, she goes out of her way to take care of us. I think my husband has almost tried everything on the menu, he loves the shrimp poorboy, alot of food. The prices are good, obviously the food is too. The more the merrier. Good atmosphere, food and price rolled up into one. Cannot beat it!

This was a really cute, decently priced place with a variety of dishes. Everyone liked their meal but no one really loved it except for my pulled pork sandwich. I would go back though.

Great food, quick and employees are very welcoming. I take clients by for a quick lunch regularly. Definitely recommend the burgers and their macaroni cheese and brisket ball appetizer. They also just started a new rewards app which is actually worth signing up for.

You can try to beat Willie's for great, casual Texas icehouse food, but your not gonna do it! Simply awesome.

My friend and I were returning to this restaurant for the first time in awhile and we both enjoyed our visit. We decided to sit outside and enjoy the mild weather on their very nice patio. I ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and coleslaw. Everything was pretty tasty and the service was OK - kind of slow -- but OK. As usual, the portions were very generous and we both took home lots of food for another day. And they do give a military discount! Always a plus!

We frequent Willie's often and love their patio. They have around 15-20 tables outside which are situated around a giant sandbox for the kids. It does get a little hot out there during the summertime but they have a misting system to help make it more comfortable. Everything I have tried on the menu had been very good. I usually get the grilled shrimp over rice, a salad, the gumbo or the grilled chicken. They have specials as well and one that I have enjoyed is called the Monterrey chicken. It is basically a grilled chicken breast with homemade salsa and cheese over top. It is really good and sometimes they will still make it even though it is not a special of the day. The burgers are good as well. They also have crawfish when they are in season but I found them to only be average.

Was looking for a good place for comfort food and watch college football game.. Can't think of a better place for both .. The beer is cold.. The food is tasty and the flat screens are plentiful for viewing. Always enjoy the fried shrimp and onion rings.. They are great.. Several locations in San Antonio and have visited several and they all are good. If you are looking for quick comfort food and sports bar atmosphere then this place won't disappoint you.. Go hungry, thirsty, and ready to cheer for your favorite teams.

Food was pretty good, great choice of beers and frozen cocktails. Service was good. Had the seasonal crawfish, they were done perfectly.

I try to go to Willie's every time I am in San Antonio, love it when the weather is nice like now and can enjoy the patio seating. You know when you see a place filled with all ages, from the kids playing in the sandbox to little old ladies with a walker that the restaurant has something for everyone. The menu really has a great variety. When you see the place your thoughts are this is a burger and beer type of place but it is much more. I love their seafood. I usually order their grilled shimp dinner, plenty of shrimp seasoned and grilled to perfection, you get to choose two sides, I love their grilled mixed veggies and rice. This time I had the grilled tilapia (you can also get it blackened or fried) the tilapia was seasoned and cooked to perfection - better than I have had at high end restaurants! It was a very large portion too. Others in the group, had grilled shrimp over salad, a burger, a loaded baked potato with pulled pork, and their new asian chopped salad. Everyone was very happy with their selections and the two with the Asian salad were raving about how delicious it was. This place is popular and gets crowded on weekend evenings so plan for a little delay. Their setup is a bit different, you order at the counter and then are seated at a table. If the place is full, there is a staff member there finding out how many in your party and trying to find a place to seat you and/or giving you an estimate on your wait time. Once you're seated at a table, a server comes to your table, takes your slip from the counter with your food order, confirms the order and then turns it in to the kitchen. Servers are quick to refill drinks, and check to see if anything else is needed. Food is served in a timely manner and is always piping hot. You can't go wrong here, and kids have an outdoor play area and a small room with video games to keep them entertained.

We love going here because not only does it have great burgers and onion rings, but it also has salads and fish. Shrimp, salmon, and catfish can be fried, grilled, or blackened and all are good. Can get vegetarian burgers or chicken also. All locations have a deck and sandbox for the kids. Inside you can watch a game on the TV. I love the grilled salmon.

You place your order at the desk sit down in your Foods delivered to you it's kind of annoys you place so not good if you want a quiet meal but if you're bringing the family the food is pretty good

We were really hungry after a day of shopping. This restaurant right off highway. Wasn't sure what to expect. You give your order before you pick a place to sit. They have a big sand box for the kids outside. Lots of outside seating as well. We both ordered a turkey mushroom burger. One of the best we have ever had! Fresh and delicious. Ordered veggies instead of fries. Freshly steamed. Very good. Of course wine and beer. All very reasonably priced.

Came into this restaurant for the first time on a busy Friday afternoon. I was in a hurry and was able to find a nice table and get in and out so I could make it back to work on time. The food and service at this store are AMAZING! I’ve found my new favorite spot!

The guy at the front counter was really nice and set the tone for s great lunch. We had 2 servers because one was in training. With that being said,we only saw the server once, the service was non existent. I think it was who we got stuck with her name was Kat, the other tables with different servers were being attended to. We ordered the crawfish boil, very small mud bugs, but the flavor and preparation was spot on. Good price at 1# for 7.99 with a tator and small corn in the boil. We also had the Philly cheesesteak, added on onion rings it was over priced for the quality. The meat was chunks, not sliced thin, and some pieces were hard to chew. The onion rings were not well cooked, the batter close to the onion was almost raw. So, half the meal was good one not so good. If I were to try this place again I will order differently and hope for a better server.

My server Saul was very attentive with all of our requests and the manager Mary was very helpful with making sure everything came out perfect! I will definitely be returning!

I ate here two times with my husband and took my parents back while they were visiting. The burgers and grilled chicken sandwiches were great. Chicken was moist and rolls were soft - everything was fresh. I liked how they served alcoholic drinks such as Margaritas and spiked Iced Tea instead of only beer. I would say it is my new favorite burger joint !

Nice place to go for lunch but not on Saturday or Sunday. The outside patio is dominated by a large sand pit full of old plastic shovels and buckets and way, way too many kids. Food is OK but nothing special. Service was a bit above average but a bit strange to order before you are seated, sorta like a cafeteria. Probably better in the evening on a week day.

Food was good. I had fried catfish and grilled shrimp with onion rings. Very good, though they should've notified me of the extra charge for swapping sides. My husband got combo nachos (beef & chicken). They were huge and very good. Staff was friendly. Place was very noisy and crowded, tho. Lots of beer choices but I didn't get one.

I placed a to-go order on their website and it was super easy and fast. I ordered the large catfish/shrimp combo with loaded potatoes. It was delicious!!! The fish was seasoned to perfection and the shrimp were pretty big. The potatoes were on point too. I live in houston so I hope the location their live up to my expectations because I will definitely be going back for more.

Bacon Willie with Cheese was a delight for my cheat day on Sunday beef beef beef!! As usual I sampled my wife's dish Baja Fish Tacos welcome to Flavortown!! Staff was Great kid friendly place with an arcade located by the bathrooms kids enjoyed playing a few games and won a couple of prizes outdoor dining is available with a small sandbox to keep toddlers occupied will definitely be returning to Willie's in the future!

This location was the last good Willie's Grill & Icehouse in the San Antonio and New Braunfels area. Upon this visit, this location went from best to worst. First off, Willie's Grill & Ice House wants to keep with their concept (POV) of a grill and icehouse; hence, burgers & fries, po-boys, shrimp, catfish, & crawfish, and steaks with baked potatoes and a side salad. To go with their "new" POV, they have removed certain foods off their menus - Mediterranean and Asian Salads. But they kept Taco Salad - Mexican. Don't get me wrong, I love a good Taco Salad, and there are good Mexican Restaurants which serve them. Therefore, Taco, Mediterranean, and Asian Salad all fall into non-grill and non-icehouse food. Remove two remove all. To continue after we learned that a more healthy choice was no longer available, we ordered the pick two combo, a Cheese Willie, and a Bacon Willie (as a lettuce wrap with the $1.99 baked potato along with a Rita and a Shiner. The jalapenos and pickles were great. The jalapenos were on fire and the pickles with dill and crispy. Upon the arrival of the Appetizer, the waiter disappeared from the scene. Our food was delivered by someone else. The thing that makes the Bacon Willie great is the crispy outer edges and the juicy intersection. Somebody incinerated this one all the way through, and the baked potato was lukewarm and as hard as a rock. The butter would not melt. The waiter was nowhere to be found, and the one who came to the table could not do anything. Our waiter never came by our table to check on drinks, now the food was, and it took forever to receive the check. Willie's was not overly busy because, at times, the staff was hanging out around the front, talking and laughing instead of circulating. Since the COVID, many restaurants have fallen on hard times. Since they can no longer use every table, their profit margin is hard to reach. Their hiring practice is to lower their skilled people's qualifications to hiring marginal people at marginal wages to serve their diners. The people are not trained and appropriately supervised. To lose customers due to poor food and poor service after losing so many diners due to the COVID virus, and its restrictions should not be acceptable.

We love the patio it’s the best spot in South Texas to relax and enjoy ice cold drinks. Our Server Tawnie was so Sweet and personable you should definitely ask for her!!

Excellent food! Portions are generous to say the least. Service was great. Most in our party did not have room for dessert so they gladly packaged it up to go. We would definitely eat here again!

Just had a take out order told them med rare. Got it home was surprised to find this thin piece of dryed up meat <seen better at Mc Donalds> I don't know who the owners are but I suggest you wake up and get back to running things. You could not pay me enough to go back. And you know what they say word of mouth is the best business. AND MY MOUTH IS BIGGGGGGGGG

Review would be higher but ordering process is confusing. Order at counter, pick up drinks, then sit, wait for waitress to bring food, up sell appetizer, and Bill. Not sure why we have to order at counter.. That being said food is pretty good- average chain fare. Yummy fried pickles- grilled shrimp tacos are good and gluten free. Fries are not gluten free and dipped in flour. Sandwiches ect seemed good too.

Willie's Grill and Ice house is a fairly well known regional chain in the San Antonio/Houston area. This one is one of the originals in San Antonio. It has both inside and outside seating as well as a number of well placed Flat panel TVs so that those enjoying the food and drink and keep up with their favorite teams and sports. One of the interesting features about the Willie's chain is that all of their restaurants have Sand Boxes outside for the kids to play in (weather permitting of course) which can make for a nice distraction for the younger kids. My personal favorite is their Turkey and Mushroom burger with their sweet potato fries and a South Texas Tea.

Love the burgers and fries here! House margaritas are pretty good too. It does get busy and finding a seat can be hard, especially if patio is no available due to weather. Great place to mellow out.

We love the swirl Margaritas! The patio is the perfect place to relax, we had their fried catfish and shrimp! Ethan was our server and we will definitely be coming back!

We were visiting family members and wanted to take them out to dinner. My sister said she heard this was a good place, so we decided to try it. We went in the later afternoon, trying to beat the evening dinner rush, which I highly recommend. When you enter, you are directed to stand in line to order at a counter, and as you peruse the menu while you wait to order, you can choose any one of a huge variety of ice cold beers chilling in tubs, or you can order a frozen margarita when you get up to the counter; they'll just add them to your ticket. The menu is quite diverse, with everything from burgers to seafood, chicken fried steaks, grilled ribeyes, poboys, and salads. We ordered a small basket of fried jalepenos and I had a ribeye and chose the baked potato and salad as my two sides, my husband had the grilled fish and shrimp and others ordered chicken fried steak. The people behind the counter write down your order on a plain piece of paper, pull your frozen margarita and tell you to go sit anywhere you like and take your order with you to your table. The place was busy, but there were still plenty of tables inside, and there were tables outside on a deck as well. It was very casual and definitely had a casual icehouse ambience. A waitress then comes along and takes the paper order and goes over it again to be sure everything is correct before turning your order into the kitchen. She came back a short time later with our order of fried jalapenos which came with small cups of queso and fresh ranch dressing on the side to dip them in. They were lightly fried rings of peppers, crunchy, and with just enough zing to wake up your taste buds. The queso and ranch dip were both awesome compliments to those tasty little stingers. Next, our waitress brought out our salads and they were cold and crisp and served with our choice of dressing on the side. I had chosen the blue cheese and it was deliciously thick with nice chunks of blue cheese. The waitress was attentive and brought drinks as we needed them. Our main meal came out a short time later and everything was hot except for my husband's grilled fish and shrimp, which he said was just barely warm, but it looked delicious and he ate it anyway, rather than wait for the kitchen to fix him another plate. He said the flavor was good, it just needed to be hot. The chicken fried steaks were absolutely huge, taking up most of the platter; they were thick and the crust was a nice golden brown. The cream gravy was ladled on top and my sister said it was great. My ribeye was a perfect medium rare, juicy and flavorful. The baked potatoes were hot and fresh, not hours old like you get at some restaurants. We really enjoyed our meal and the waitress was very quick to get us anything we needed. The atmosphere is a bit noisy, but what you'd expect of an ice house atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we all agreed we'd like to go back again sometime and order some of the other items on the menu that looked so delicious, like the burgers and onion rings. There is something here for everyone!

Great boiled seafood. My wife and I crave crawfish being from New Orleans and they have scratched the itch. Tasty and well priced.

Willies has a little bit of everything. I have been coming here gor years. Everything here is good. My favorite dish is the grill lemon pepper catfish with veggies. The best that I've ever had. The frozen jack & coke is a big hit.

Ordered some food to go from willies, definitely worth it. Dis take a while since we didn't call before time, but so worth it. Staff was friendly & the short time we waited, the vibe of the dine in is definitely upbeat. Would recommend.

Went to willies sat down and waited and waited over 20 minutes later still no service. No one even to pick up the order. I flagged a waitress to tell we were waiting a long time but she said it wasnt her table. resturant only 1/4 full. Dozens of wait staff standing around gabbing. Spoke to manager as my family and I left to eat elsewhere. Not all bad though ...at least I didnt have to pay for our tea. Too many good competitors around to settle for this poor service.

Turkey burger with cheese and mushrooms was great! You can get a wheat bun and sub sweet potato fries too. Sweet tea is yucky I'd drink something else. Good beer selection and fun sandbox for kids!

This is a great family style place. Plenty of good selections from salads through steaks. Good bottle beer and draft beer selections. My wife likes the Margaritas.

Go here every time I visit San Antonio and it never disappoints. This time I tried something new, the fried shrimp po-boy and it was excellent! Great quality shrimp which was delicious. The bread was a little flaky but I'm probably over critical as I work in the bakery industry and sell solutions to improve poor quality bread :). Great place, really nice staff and quality products!

Classic local Texas hangout. Wonderful burgers but the most tasty dish on the menu is the onion rings. I go there JUST for them. Handmade wide cut onions hand dipped and fried crisp. The best in the city.

Willies is clearly proving to be a popular chain of restaurants in the San Antonio area. Before I even arrived this time around I noticed a few posts on my social media from friends who had enjoyed this place. I was finally convinced to check it out a few days ago. It is filled with your quirky southwest items you would expect in an establishment of this theme but what was more noticeable was the friendliness of the staff. The only people who weren't as overflowing with kindness were the order takers at the front as they were busy keeping the line down. That said this place does it a bit different as you get in line to place your order and it is written down on claim check/receipts. You get your drinks and please note if your a beer drinker they have a pretty impressive selection of local brews. After you find where you want to sit whether indoor or outdoors the servers wil come get your ticket and handle any updates you might need. The place is busy and the food is well prepared so you will wait a few minutes before receiving your food. No worries though, the wait staff will check up on you to make sure those drinks are topped off. While waiting we observed they had a nice sandbox for the tykes to play in. We were also given the bonus of watching a dramatic five car crash on a nearby expressway in live action while sitting outside. Amazingly no one appeared to be seriously hurt. The food was wonderful. I had the chicken ranchero and my guest had a burger. That said the menu has your typical fare of burgers, steaks and similar items but the bonus here was they also served catfish and crawdads. Those two items also set this place apart from others. It was an pleasant dining experience and I expect I will be dining here again in the near future.

Came here to meet up with coworkers and decided to try some dessert. It was good, but be warned that their desserts are huge and rich! Service was friendly. I did check out their food menu also and it’s mostly bar/pub food, nothing really interesting to me in the way of entrées.

This is a fun spot. I just love the tortilla soup. The atmosphere is fun and the food is awesome. Plenty of TV's to watch your favorite games.

IT was a great night to sit outside but the noise level did get abit much at times! the grilled fish tacos were good enogh food for me but alittle spicy for my taste, service was great, I would definitely come back again!

Traffic not worth the food. Kids like to play in the sandbox. Whippee.

The bar service was amazing!! The drinks and food is reasonably priced! Everyone was super friendly! My server Ashley was kind and energetic. Ashley was very attentive and gave quick service. Even with the workers wearing masks you could tell everyone was smiling. A manager stoped by the table to see how we were enjoying everything. We love the sand box for our kids to play in and the atmosphere of the restaurant overall!! A must go place in San Antonio!!

Great burgers but the highlight will always be the onion rings! FANTASTIC! Sat outside on the the deck while the kids played in the huge sandbox . Great atmosphere for families.

The food quality has slipped since my previous visit. The catfish was good, the fried shrimp okay, the boiled shrimp okay and the gumbo bad. We came for crawdads, which they didn't have, despite the sign saying they did. Our server was very sweet, but a complete ditz. She found our lost order after about twenty minutes. The patio was pleasant, but I wouldn't let any child I cared about into the cat box, I mean sand box.

Joined 7 friends for dinner. We experienced excellent customer service & great food! Both George, the manager, & Dell, the order taker, ensured my order adhered to my dietary restrictions. I am very grateful for their kindness & concern. Everyone at the table was quite satisfied with their meals. Great family restaurant!

I cant believe this place has so many bad reviews! it is a great place. Just a nice place to hang out, grab a beer and enjoy a game. By the way the Food is GREAT! Fried pickles are delicious. Also, if you have kids they have a play area sand box. I do not understand why there are so many bad reviews, food is great and staff is great. Period

We stopped by specifically for the fried jalapenos. Mmmmmm! They come with queso or ranch. Burgers are big and juicy. The highlight was the outdoor sandbox. My child played while we ate comfortably. How many times can you say that with a 2 year old? Hmmm??? ;)

Willie's has a menu that meets everyone's tastes. Appetizers ( especially fried mushrooms & onion rings ) are awesome. Chicken fried chicken is great & comes in a HUGE portion. All the sides mashed potatoes, fresh veggies, French fries are always "spot-on." The salads are a great choice ~ always fresh & satisfying. Also they offer adult beverages & an outside play area for the kids.

Food was great. We had the Willie burger with onion rings, perfectly cooked and big onion rings. The Blackened catfish was also excellent, right amount of spices. For light eaters I recommend the Taco salad. It comes with melted cheese, salsa and taco meat. You can ask your waiter to put everything on the side so you can mix it up yourself. About the only thing we were not happy about was our draft beer. It was flat but they changed it right away when we complained to the waiter.

Once one of San Antonio’s great places to eat, now it is just average to poor food. Poor service. Buyer beware! Keep looking around. There are some great restaurants in the area.

So we were confused when we first walked in... You stand in line, look at the menu board, get drinks and someone writes down your order. You then wait for an available table. Once you sit down the wait staff reviews the written order and places the order. The food was awesome! Well worth the wait!

The chicken fried steak was tasty, but the burger was blah. It was hard to believe the burger patty was half a pound of burger. More like a third.

Have eaten at this Willies mor than a dozen times and the food is always good no matter what is ordered. I have had the pulled pork and it was good but my favorite is the Buffalo Chicken sandwich with crispy fries. The sauce is tangy, the chicken is always tender and the rolls are soft and tasty. I get the fries cooked extra to make them crispy. The shrimp platter is very good maybe alitle to much breading but it peels off easy. Never had a bad meal or anyone be disappointed!

This was just another place to grab some burger. It was strange that the customer ordered the food when coming in, but then sit down at a table and pay the server later. I had a burger and it was not bad. The interior decoration was interesting. Nothing fancy about this place.

Food was really good and the portions were huge. The onion ring appetizer should be for 4 and not 2. Catfish and shrimp was good and the fries were light and hot. The bacon brisket burger was also delicious. Highly recommend!

This Willies is my favorite the Staff is so friendly and the managers are always available and out talking to the customers. My favorite food is the Texas club and you won’t leave hungry!! The patio is on point and all social distance rules are followed.

I eat here a few times a month for lunch, food is good and staff will get you in and out on a lunch break without rushing you. There's a lunch rewards punch card that also makes this place a good deal.

One of the best hamburgers I've ever tasted! The steak was delicious too. My sister ordered the catfish and it was also tasty. Great place to take the family and enjoy a good time and a good meal. If I ever return to San Antonio this will be the place to eat.

Sad that they got rid of the Crawfish Etoufee from the menu but they still have tails. All of the food choices are great. Huge menu selection. Inside or patio seating. Sand box for kids to play in. Texas flavor.

Came in with high hopes and left with a Meh flavor. The fish tacos had a dry slaw, a hot sauce on it that was too hot, and the fish had no flavor. We had an order of mushrooms with ranch and gravy. That was tasting basic. The tea and sodas had a funny taste. The waitress said they had switched tea companies. Left disappointed.

The dinner was amazing - fried pickles, fried green beans, and steak fingers. The place was pretty busy, so we spent quite a bit of time chatting with the bar staff. Super friendly, talkative, and generally fun to be around.

Went with a group of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids), variety was such that everyone had little trouble picking out something that fit their pallet. Opted for the grilled shrimp and dirty rice, very well done. Linenkugle's oktoberfest, from the massive ice filled tables in the ordering line was a great touch and unique. Highly recommended if you are in the neighborhood.

They take your order at the entry counter then you go find a table with your order in hand. A server will hopefully find you and then really take your order. There were several errors from the first counter person that had to be corrected. This place fills up quickly at lunch and folks were standing around looking for a table. The onion rings are super large and tasty too. The chicken fried chicken was a flat pathetic piece of rubber-like meat that was way too thin, the carrots were so under-cooked after requesting they be cooked well. The cole slaw was ok. The smothered chicken breast as ok, the seasoned rice and coleslaw were ok. Our server was Alison she was friendly and got the onion rings out quickly. It longer for both chicken dishes than other menu items.

Willies is good for lunch, a quick dinner before other errands or an evening after working all week! On weekends there is live music and the patio; I've heard some good original artists in Leon Springs. If you have little ones you should know there are tables outside and a well fenced in sandbox. You can sit and have s drink while waiting for dinner to arrive and there is no whining as the kids are happy too Food is consistently good with a big enough menu to avoid boredom!

We went there for a family birthday celebration. The food was great and our waitress was ever so efficient. There were 12 of us and no one was ignored. Great atmosphere for families and get togethers.

Great burgers. Nice space as it becomes indoors with the open doors. It was a packed early night so staff was full capacity. So our waitress did miss several calls but nice person. The meat well cooked and great flavor. Loved the fries! The seasoning is just on point! Really need to make it a stop for a cool and good burger.

Went here for a benefit for a Brother in Blue, Riely Gobeil, who is fighting cancer. I was proud to know that ALL tables had a portion going to Riely's cause, whether the customer said they were there for him or not. I love how they back the blue. The food was great! I had a turkey/mushroom burger and couldn't eat the whole thing. The seafood platter was filling and great as well. My kiddo loved the chicken fried steak. All of the employees were welcoming and very accommodating. The outdoor seating was nice too and I like the sand pit for the kids.

Met friends for dinner and decided on a poor boy and my wife a regular hamburger. Yep, all good. Also the side of onion rings were a hit. Our server Gina was a hit, she took care of us , a large crowd, all in stride. While at first it seemed like chaos,the system works and you just have to ask for your server to assist... In ordering,recommendations and quick execution on requests. Will I go back...of course.

My wife and I went on a Sat about 1130am which was a good time to go to beat the local rush. You can sit in/outsie and it is a very relaxing atmosphere. When sitting stay away from the tables near the rest room area and drink station. Too many people passing you in both directions, both customers and servers. Order anything, it's all good. I ordered a bacon-cheeseburger and it was great. Nice size patty and bun. Fries were pretty good as well. Although they weren't that busy when we arrived, it seemed to take forevcer to get our order delivered to our table,and the waitress we had wasn't too quick on bussing our table. She seemed to forget things and this was without a rush. When we did leave the place after our meal, it did become a little loud and full. Not many little kids, but larger groups of 6 or more at tables. Seemed like a local place or college place to meet and greet especially with the different varieties of beer.

Best brownie wth ice cream and kreme ever, really. Is called Willy Wonka. Must try!!!! Very good service I’ll trynna again but salty!

My fiance and l ordered seafood platter and top sirloin. We were enjoying a couple drinks watching TV started wondering where our food was cuz we had been waiting 30 min when the manager came over and said they had lost our ticket and apologized then gave us appetizer and free drink from bar we said that was fine and thanks for approaching us without having to complain. The waiter brought the dinners about 15 min later and was very apologetic. When the bill arrived they took off most expensive meal so I was very happy about that, all in all food was good and service was great also enjoyed casual atmosphere. We will be back.

Always try to stop at willies when in S. A. Stopped for late lunch with the Chicken Tenders and Pulled Pork sandwich on the menu. Quick to order but it was busy and the meal took awhile to arrive. All was hot and fresh. Tenders were perfect as were the fries. Pulled pork also good but included too much fat for my wife's taste. Aside from that, taste was excellent as was the BBQ sauce in the side. A good place to go overall.

This is the BEST spot to chill and drink beer by 5 get 1 free!!! Hell ya. My buddies love the staff and food is on point.

We loved this place, the food is always on point and the employees are very friendly. I recommend anything seafood and the burgers are always juicy.

This ws our second time and the so-so first experience didn't improve with the second visit. Maybe the food just isn't my style. It is okay, but doesn't wow, for sure. You order at the counter and then eventually a server confirms the order and after that at some point, they bring it. We had several mix ups at our gable for seven, but they were addressed. Our party had appetizers--fried jalapenos and tortilla soup. The soup was different, but light and nicely flavored. Full of veggies. I would order this again. For entrees, we had shrimp, beef, chicken, bbq, some of everything. It was all fine. We were there on a Saturday night and it was packed and extremely loud. I would not return on a weekend night unkess I don't want to talk to my fellow diners.

I used to love this place - we were weekly regulars for about 5 years. It's going downhill fast. The culprit is not the food, which has remained largely unchanged. It's the SERVICE! You might wait 20 minutes for the waitress to pick up your ticket and place your order with the kitchen, and another 30 to get your bill. Go when you have an extra hour to waste.

My girlfriend and I came into eat some lunch. They got the etouffee and redfish back and they’re SO good! Kianna took care of us and she’s so sweet. Lorena, the manager, came out to check on us as well and she was so nice. She even got us refills! This place is amazing and the patio looks so nice with the remodel.

Went for the crawfish boil. Was great! The seasoning was so good and the service was great. That was our first time here and I guarantee, we will be back!

I love Willie's and was looking forward to eating a bacon burger with a fully loaded baked potato and an order of their famous onion rings. I ordered online and was told that pick up time was at 4 o'clock. Drove there and used the phone app to let them know I had arrived. 15 minutes later I still had not received my food so I called the restaurant directly. They apologized and brought me my food but everything was already cold. The time was 4:20. I live five minutes away and by the time I got to my house, the food was cold. The loaded baked potato was cold. My hamburger was cold and the onion rings were cold. I spent $28 and everything was cold. My advice is to use the number on the sign where you park waiting for your to go order. Don't rely on the phone app. What a waste of money. Again, Willie has fabulous food when it's served hot.
