Stopped in for lunch. The service was outstanding. I found the American tri tip sandwich to be very good. The bbq salad I was told was also very good. Nice place

Six of us had a noon lunch reservation on a Thursday. Four arrived early and were seated w/o having to wait for everyone to arrive. Regularly refilled ice teas and lemonade were pleasing, a margarita odd tasting and unpleasant. One order of beef ribs was mistakenly filled with baby-back ribs (pork), but quickly remedied when pointed out. Salads were unremarkable. Servings were generous, enough that four of the six of us took food home.

They have a different way on how they cook the calamares and Yes I do like it. Very good service, they keep checking if everything's ok and anything you need and such. I went back twice just for the calamares. If you want to eat and relax, I totally recommend this place. The outdoor seating is also pretty nice.

Friendly servers. Professional greeting. Nice variety of meals. Good salads. Cushioned booths. Occasionally too loud for easy conversation. Nice heated patio seating option.

service was great...we were on a quick lunch break and it came out fast. When I asked for fresh fries, they were brought within 15 seconds! Really yummy and good if you need a place to have lunch while talking about business b/c there are quiet booths available.

This restaurant is fantastic. The service and atmosphere is super awesome. Our waiter Luis was absolutely the best waiter I can remember having in a long time. Best bbq sauce around. Meat was so tender and tasty. Can't wait to go back. Would recommend big time!

I have been to Wood Ranch BBQ restaurant many times, frequently with my wife and also with family and friends. No one has ever complained or been dissatisfied with either the food or the service. I highly recommend this restaurant to all.

Been there couple times, highly recommended. Had great trout, with asparagus. Meat was also very tasty .

Great food and atmosphere. Would highly recommend.

Best beef ribs I have ever tasted. Great value. Awesome place love it thoroughly recommend .will be going back!

We have been eating at this restaurant for many years. The food and service have always been good. The BBQ beef sandwich is excellent.

Always a treat to eat at Wood Ranch. My wife had the tri tip, and I had the pulled pork. Mouth watering and delicious. Service was great, and the portions were also great. We will be back. John & LynNita Ellis

I've always come for the Trial Tip, and tonight I had the Tri Tip sandwich and sweet potatoes. Service was great, food and drinks were always on time. Can't go wrong with any location!

Always can count on a good meal with friendly service at Wood Ranch. Pull pork was a bit spicy but tasty. The chicken was good. Service is always friendly.

Great food, often too crowded and they don't take reservations. Prices higher than nearby BBQ restaurants but also it's classier as there is table service where a waitress takes your order rather than having to stand in line and order yourself at a cash register. Tables nice in the front and sides of the restaurant - you can call ahead and pick up your order too.

Reservations are a must. With a fun but crowded atmosphere and unusual dishes, eg. Burnt Ends with Mac and Cheese, a very smokey tasting dish of the crusty ends of the brisket re smoked and served over Mac and Cheese, this restaurant is worth the visit. We were there early and the wait staff already seemed overwhelmed. Items were late due to an incorrect order or forgotten altogether.

We are not used to the hectic pace of southern CA, so we were surprised by the efficient service when the restaurant was so crowded (Saturday night). The waitress took time to explain the entrees & answer questions. The food was good quality & very nicely prepared. Choice of sides was appropriate for us - older so eat less. We were having dinner with family members that we had not seen for a long time so wanted to catch up on news. We were not rushed out. Thanks.

We arrived after 8:00 pm and took advantage of the great valet service. This restaurant has very nice curb appeal. The decor inside is also very nice. We were greeted promptly and since we had an infant the host really took care to make sure we sat where we felt comfortable. Our server for the night was, well, over worked. She had far too many tables to attend to and only could do the bare minimum to get our drink orders and food orders. When the food arrived; the salad was warm and wilted; the Chicken was very mushy with a consistency of mashed potatoes, and the pulled pork was, only ok in flavor and far to tough and stringy. On the brighter side, they are very generous with their mixed drinks and the dinner rolls are spectacular.

I dined at the Wood Ranch in Northridge twice during the month of March. Both times our party was seated right away (week night). There is a full bar and nice selection of wines by the glass. Service was prompt. The Wood Ranch BBQ tri tip was excellent and I had both times. I also recommend the peanut cole slaw. It was good dinner and a good value.

Great food and service! The baby back ribs, tri tip, BBQ chopped salad are delicious! Their garlic rolls are great too. There is a huge menu to select from including everything from appetizers to desserts.

This is my favorite place for a quick, satisfying meal. Their ribs are great and so are their salads. Their peanut salad is so good we always get an extra order to go. Their portions are large, so My wife and I order one combination plate and share it.

An enjoyable, casual BBQ (plus more) restaurant. Generous portions with a selection that will please children to seniors -- hungry or not. Food is prepared as ordered and there is no trouble accommodating special requests. A place we return to regularly

Very busy restaurant.Service was excellent considering we were a large party. The food though kinda generic was very good.My steak was cooked to perfection.Corn my favorite was outstanding.Waiter very personable and helpful.Brought nice desert ice cream for desert Birthday a Boy..Thank you staff .Job well done

Try to avoid the delicious garlic rolls they start with. They are delicious. The 3 of us ordered salads & there were no complaints among us. My chopped salad with tri-tip substituted was excellent.

Food is good, pricing is relatively fair. Service is always great. I go about every three weeks to the Agoura location

Wood Ranch is always a pleasure. A bit pricey, a bit over crowded, and always a long wait, but always an excellent dining experience, nevertheless.

I love Steak and that is why I went here. The steak here tasted amazing. If you like Steak I would reccomend you visit this place.

The food is wonderful. Good size portions, excellent variety. Unfortunately the service was lacking. Slow and a lack of attention to us.

They did a great job managing a group of 6. My only complaint is they tried to squeeze us into a banquette built for 4 (or maybe 5), and we had to ask (twice) to move to a larger table. But the food is good, and they have lunch specials which are served promptly. Easy for a work group to get in and out.

Friends and I went to Wood Ranch on a Tuesday night. We had all had large late lunches, so weren't hungry for the usual ribs or chicken. We ordered the kale salad, which was delicious, and a glass of wine. The wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. All-in-all, a pleasant experience.

This restaurant is located in the Northridge Fashion Center. It has a wide variety of salads and sandwiches. The food and service are very good. It is a local favorite.

Wood Ranch provides a wide selection of menu items (from salads to sandwiches, ribs to steaks, chicken, and tri-tip). The service is excellent and the food uniformly good -- regardless of what you order. It works well for couples, friends, and/or families. The atmosphere is pleasant (and a nice patio when the weather permits).

It's hard to like chain restaurants and this one didn't make it easier. The hostess was kind of robotic, said all the right words as if they were recorded. Waitress was nice and friendly. The rest of the service people could care less about us when we wanted something. Even when I asked one of them to call our waitress, he said - Yes, of course - and nothing happened. This place has Ribs in their phone number but the St. Louis ribs won't be the reason I will go back, if I do. All-American baby-back ribs were quite good.

We dine at wood ranch all the time but this time we had the worst experience. I took my two kids to eat dinner and a soon as we walked to our table the manager kept on asking us for my kids ages. She went so fare as to ask my kids directly. I told the first manager that my kids are less then ten years old but they brought another manager to ask me again if they’re less then ten years old. It got to a point where I needed to raise my voice and tell them to stop asking me. I even said that if they had an ID for kids I would show them and that I don’t walk around with my kids birth certificate. They made such a commotion that all the other customers were looking at our table. If was insulting to me to think that I was questioned over and over about my kids ages.

Any of the items are delicious. Don't wear white unless you wear a bib! BBQ chicken is over the top delicious.

Came for a friends "47th" birthday as Beef Ribs were her request. Very few BBQ restaurants in the S.F. Valley now that Lucille's has closed in Woodland Hills. Beef and Pork ribs are offered in three sizes. Those items come with a choice of two sides from a list below with the "premier" sides having an additional charge of $1.50 each. Their peanut slaw with oil base is popular and served in a red cabbage leaf. Their smashed sweet potatoes are sweet and yummy. Pork Ribs (5 ribs) were ordered and were somewhat very fatty. Beef ribs (3 ribs) came with lots of sauce and appeared very meaty. Our waiter was Adan and he was friendly, attentive and checked with us 3 times to be sure all was in order. An ice cream sundae was brought with a candle for our friend's birthday and he brought 4 spoons without having to ask. P.S. on a Sunday at 6 p.m. wait was 15 mins. No reservations are taken.

Many years ago while still living in LA we discovered the 'original' Wood Ranch BBQ off the 101W towards Thousand Oaks. When they build this one we jumped on having a Wood Ranch close to home. Back then the Tri-Tip was the specialty and always a treat. The Tri-Tip soup also was a guaranteed great meal. When back home for family we decided to treat ourselves to another Wood Ranch dinner. The ONLY oops we had was again parking. This is a mall parking lot. If that is the only issue - oh well. We'll live as the meal & service were perfect. Seating was fairly quick for the 5 p.m. hour. We had a sweet server who again was a knowledgeable gal & full of great suggestions. I had my tri-tip & she was able to nab me one that was med-rare. Perfect cut of meat. Fork tender, perfectly seasoned & temperature was ideal. Hubby had the burned bits ... sounds icky but he adored the caramelized bits of the brisket with their mac & cheese. To those that have stated this restaurant wasn't up to their standards - not sure where they go but as a person that's frequented 5-Star restaurants ... this restaurant's entire ambiance, dining experience, quality of service & food is worth every penny charged. No complaints! Oh - and it's even better than we remembered ... their tropical tea ... yum!

I've come here several times with friends and enjoyed the meals each time. The place is busy, yet service to go or to stay is efficient.

Another corporate chain. Nice enough, and certainly a place that, when I have extra cash, I love to come.

love their tri pit. and the smashed sweet potatoes are the best i ever had. fine pork and beek ribs and overall, very good service. excellent for take out also. i eat there once a month

Reliable staple of Los Angeles. Big portions of very good barbecue. By the way if you like chicken wings (I am a serious wing nut), theirs are among the VERY BEST out there.

Wood Ranch is a fabulous blend of true bar-b-que and upscale American grill. It's like the upscale sports bar grill places with better food. If you like the old school "greasy spoon" one-off BBQ joints but want a better atmosphere, this is the place.

The location at the Northridge Mall truly serves up some delectable tri-tip. Great happy hour selection/value and very tasty margaritas since they use fresh juices for them. The mac and cheese is also one of the best-tasting things you could imagine. All their sides that I've tried are very filling and well done. I'm glad the service at all the locations I've been to is always at 100% it is definitely worth the drive to come and visit. Ample parking here and their text/SMS waitlist is very convenient and streamlined, Noura and Mindy were super helpful. This is one chain that doesn't sacrifice quality in any way. The patio dining is great and allowed you to sit out towards the mall while enjoying. There are a lot of cool and fun things to do in the Northridge Mall which are just a short walk away as well. Daisha was an absolutely phenomenal team member and made my visit so much better as she was one of the friendliest and most attentive people I've ever interacted with. She was so knowledgeable of all the menu items and made them all sound so tasty that it made it hard to decide. She was extremely polite and fast, so much so that I really wished that every restaurant I went to had someone so awesome helping out. The blackberry martini and spinach dip she recommended were delicious. The management team here really know what they're doing, with their amazing staff and flawless service, I'm going to make sure to let all my friends and family know about my experience, I look forward to coming here again in the very near future.

We enjoy our meals. The menu offers enough variety that everyone can enjoy their choices. Large portions.

This was my first visit to a Wood Ranch BBQ and it was terrific. I ordered the Signature BBQ pecan wood chipotle cherry ribs. I chose 3 ribs which were served with a side veggie. The ribs were terrific and the chipotle cherry sauce was a great blend of a traditional taste with a mild spicy finish. I would definitely order them again.

We had not been to Wood Ranch for many years and decided to go back when invited by friends. We had their favorite server, Priscilla, who provided us with excellent service. We ordered the 3 item combo which my husband and I shared, with the St Louis ribs, chicken breast and brisket. We especially liked the moist and tender chicken and brisket. As we do not like the same sauces, we had several on the side so we could sample them. A nice touch. We also loved their peanut cole slaw and sweet potato fries. We will be back!

For a short while, it seemed like Wood Ranch was going too corporate and losing their quality edge. However, the last couple of times that we have recently eaten there, it seems like someone in charge actually took charge and has improved the service and quality of the meals. Side salads are hearty and not just a bowl of lettuce. The sandwiches are excellent, as are the meat entrees. Happy to see that we can add it to our short list for sit down meals.

We've been going to Wood Ranch BBQ's since they first opened in Moorpark and have been to most of their locations. This one is at the Northridge Mall, so if you're going there for a movie or shopping, it's a great restaurant while you're there. We went there with a large group for my daughter's birthday. They were able to accomodate us on a fairly short notice with our group of 13. We ordered some shredded onions to start off with and as always the garlic rolls are to die for - fresh, hot and oh so tasty! I had the Ribeye, which was cooked to perfection and very tasty, with broccoli, while my wife had the tr-tip and a baked potato. Everyone else in our party had a variety of choices from the menu and all enjoyed their selection.

This is just what is wrong with BBQ in Los Angeles. These Big Chains give you a Fancy room, a Nice Staff, and not the Food to match. This is the second time I have been here. Once for lunch once for dinner. Both times the meat was dry, yes it did peel off the bone. Unfortunately it came off the bone like cardboard and had the same texture and flavor. The sides were bland. What, after all the fuss over Mac&Cheese in the last couple of years, here still no flavor just like the beans. My wife's grilled Veggie Salad had little or no grilled veggie's, and was covered with Avacado. If you like big fancy Chain BBQ Places, but not that much about the food. This is your place.

Peanut Coleslaw, Tri Tip and Baby Back Ribs are typically good. Went with clients and had a lunch special. The food quality was just ok. That, coupled with an overpriced beverage, and would have to suggest to go with other choices.

We used to regularly go to Wood Ranch Grill, but it has really gone downhill. The last time was especially bad. I ordered a drink that was essentially a glass of ice and about 4 sips (at most) of the actual drink. I pointed it out first to our waiter and then to I believe the manager, and they seemed totally disinterested, not even an apology. Then, there was a piece of sandpaper/plastic in my soup. (I discovered it when I put it in my mouth.) I brought it to the waiter's attention. He did bring me another bowl, but no apology. Comping me on the soup would have been a nice gesture, since the next bowl brought out was obviously cooked with the floating debris in it. The portions have shrunk, the ribs and especially the shrimp were overcooked.

This is not our first time here. We love that restaurant, and always enjoy the food here, but this time, our experience was extraordinary thanks to our server - Ian. We have never seen an AMAZING waiter/server like him! (and we are dinning out a lot....) He was very kind, nice, attentive and quick. It was astonishing. Everything we asked for was on our table literally after 3 min. He had a few more tables except us, but it didn't affect the great service we enjoyed. What a lucky charm for a restaurant that has that kind of service. We will be back.

Took my friend to Wood Ranch for her birthday and the two of us ordered the tri tip. The tri-tip was so tender and cooked to perfection. Can't wait to go back for more tri tip.

We were able to get a good quick lunch considering there were 20 tour buses in the area. Service was friendly and fast, the BBQ was tender and delicious and gluten free.

I went to Wood Ranch Grill for dinner with my friend. The 1/2 BBQ chicken was wonderful, the broccoli steamed and fresh and the peanut coleslaw delicious as always. My friend got the small try tip and the piece he was give looked like an end and it was all fat. The server was excellent and he took care of this issue and got him a new piece of trip tip that was much better and more lean. The server was very efficient, attentive and had a great attitude.

Wonderful service. We had 1 of our dogs with us so we were looking for a dog friendly restaurant. We were very pleased that we were able to sit in the patio with our dog right by our side at the table. The service was great. The food was excellent. I had their Tri-Tip Salad and Bloody Mary, both excellent .

I had walked past many times but this was my first visit. We met my wife's brother and his family of four. The restaurant is neither grand or simple, but a pleasant place to enjoy a meal. It was a Saturday noon but the wait wasn't long and the restaurant wasn't empty. The prices seemed about average. I enjoyed my grilled salmon with slaw, others enjoyed their tri-tip or ribs. I would return.

I was invited here by some friends who were locals (we are from Australia). From the beginning the service and atmosphere in this place was outstanding. The restaurant appeared full and we had to wait ten minutes for a table for six. The waiter was very friendly and helpful, he even gave us some beer samples to help decide what beers to choose. The menu is large with lots of options and sides, but very reasonably priced with $23 being the most expensive Main which included two sides. Everyone at the table ordered different things and everyone was very happy. I tried the ribs and brisket, both delicious and I highly rate the peanut coleslaw. The kids were very happy, entertained with puzzles etc. and the kids desserts were really good. Worth a visit.

We generally love Wood Ranch. Since the restaurant opened in Northridge, we have been going there on a regular basis. We even brought groups to the restaurant. Last month, I met a friend and we both had center cut 8-ounce filets. I had a salad and my friend had a baked potato. I had my steak without seasoning. The steak must have been sitting around because three hours later I started throwing up and having other problems. I was diagnosed with food poisoning. I called the manager and discussed that there must be some problem in the kitchen. He told me he would get back to me in a couple days. He never did. After the experience, I can’t bring myself to go back. .

We ate here after our taping of the Price is Right, the decor is upscale but nice and the staff was very friendly! We got a nice booth the menu had lots of choices for all types of food from vegetarian, seafood, bbq meats and the homemade coleslaw was Awesome, they offer different sides for the sandwiches and the service was great! The prices were fair for the area but well worth stopping in for a bite to eat and a drink....

Seriously, I rarely write reviews, however Tyler has to be, hands down, the best server Wood Ranch BBQ has ever employed. So lets start with the fact that we came in a second time and requested his section. The food, albeit amazing as usual, doesn't hold a candle compared to Tyler's fantastic service. He is, by far, a server who will make your dining experience something to remember. He is professional, but has a sense of humor. The food comes out correct, hot and quickly. He is a busy server, however you will think you are his only table. If he is not a trainer for other servers, Manager's please pay attention, he should be. Thank you for having someone in your organization who will continue to bring us back to your restaurant!

I really enjoy eating at Wood Ranch. Their tri tip salad is my favorite go to on the menu. It has plenty of seating and a great bar scene.

A chain with several LA sites, wood fire grilling a specialty but other options and very good food. Good appetizers. Not much wine selection. Great smells. Very pleasant staff.
Great place for BBQ
Wood Ranch is always great for BBQ. Ribs are wonderful as is the chicken. Portions are large and the sides are tremendous too. We go to the one in Agoura Hills more than Northridge but have always been very happy with the food, atmosphere and service
