Piece of wood in the food

By World Traveler |

I but into my burger and there was a piece of wood - not from the stick they put through it. This was in a different part of the burger. I showed it to the server who said that she would show the cook and that it happens a lot. Hmmmm, you might want to fix that before something bad happens.

Dinner before concert

By Lisa S |

We saw The Who last night at Wells Fargo and stayed nearby at the Holiday Inn so I can't comment on the parking situation however it looked plentiful with all the sport venues there too. The Xfinity complex is host to quite a few restaurants and we picked this place. Seated fairly quickly even though it was busy. Beers brought right away and we split a meats pizza and it was great. Not sure if it was wood fired but sure tasted like it. Nice thin crust, tons of meat and cheese. Just wish we lived closer to come back!

GREAT place, great service and great food!

By CWestcott |

I love the big tv's and the staff is very nice and attractive! The menu is great but the best time to go here is for lunch! I'm not a big fan if crowds and it get CROWDED during events!

You Won't Miss A Thing

By Mark R |

The size of the monitor is so large, that everyone, regardless of where you are sitting, has a clear view of what's showing. It's a great open venue and everyone is part of the "excitement."

Great place to watch teams other than the Eagles

By diva1206 |

If you live in Philly but want to watch someone other than the Birds play, this is a great spot to go. My husband and I went to watch his beloved home-town team, the Detroit Lions. They have multiple TVs, so you get to see all of the games that are being played. The food is good, the service is good and the atmosphere is fun. The only downside is that they charge for parking ($15) if there is an event taking place at the sports complex. You can avoid this by taking SEPTA, or just timing your arrival (parking charge is waived one hour after event start time).

Dead!

Not the right night to be there...I can not recommend going unless there is an event at one of the stadiums! Bartender was nice...

Meh Squared

By LuvinMy369Hero |

Meh nothing fancy...it's a necessity sometimes when you don't want to drop a billion dollars in the stadium. My 13 year old likes coming here. Food is ok. Kind of expensive for the quality and size, but far superior to the stadiums. I usually eat half my food then bring the rest into the Phillies games in a box, saves $$ when it comes to a 13 year old boy who is basically a grade disposal! Enjoy the cheesesteak rolls, although the portions are small. Beer selection is decent and priced pretty much the same as a chain restaurant. They have an awesome $5 menu that runs from 11-3 Mon thru Fri, but I never make it in time. TVs galore but can be very very noisy. Kid likes the tots app. Overall if you are down here and hungry, it's not a bad option.

Great Atmosphere and Service

By JResnick |

Very friendly service to go along with a great atmosphere. There are many large-screen TVs with various sports events on them. The food is basic and the beer selection is good. This is a great spot to hang out before a sports event in Philly.

Meh

By queenbee85 |

Nothing special. Food was ok. We expected overpriced and for it. Service was average at best. We were there on a Monday night while the Phils were playing somit wasn't crowded at all. My son's order was incorrect, but he would've starved waiting for our server to reappear. Staff wasn't attentive- a few on their phones, our server just disappeared and seemed bothered having to wait on us. Food was ok- the tater tot appetizer was gross, chicken quesadillas were ok. My husband had a buffalo chicken item that was HOT! Phanatic drink was tasty and I got to keep the glass- thank goodness at $15. The atmosphere was fun and we enjoyed seeing the sports memorabilia but have no desire to go back. We are here only because we were hungry and tired and the other food places at Xfinity were closed.

Huge Venue to Watch Televised Events

By fluffnfold |

My spouse and I visited 1100 Social for lunch on a Saturday afternoon in late July 2017. We were in Philadelphia to attend a concert at the Wells Fargo Center, and the NBC Sports Arena provided a convenient place for a meal. The restaurant is open daily beginning at 11:00 am. (On the day and time that we visited, hours prior to any events, the NBC Arena was the only restaurant/bar open in the XFINITY Center, and we were glad to find it!) Parking is available in an adjacent lot; however, it is only complimentary when there are no sporting events or concerts. (We arrived on foot because we stayed nearby at the Marriott Courtyard at the Navy Yard.) The NBC Sports Arena is located in the XFINITY Live! Center, the entertainment venue at the South Philadelphia sports complex. It occupies the central indoor hall of XFINITY, so you have a great view of all the other dining and drinking establishments in the complex (which include PBR [Professional Bull Riders] Bar & Grill, Victory Beer Hall, and Broad Street Bullies). Approximately 250 patrons can choose to dine at the bar, at one of the semi-circular booths, or at a regular-height or high-top table. But wherever you sit, you remain within view of the enormous 32-foot LED screen in the center of the venue, surrounded by smaller (but still huge!) rows of televisions on either side. An LED sports ticker circles the room. In addition, NBC offers two rectangular bars surrounded by stools on the floor in the open atrium, with high-top communal tables located on either side. The NBC Sports Arena serves classic pub food with an Italian twist. We shared two appetizers: the cheesesteak eggrolls (two to an order, and served somewhat “open-faced” because they were cut diagonally down the length of the roll for a unique presentation) and the cheesy tater tots (served on a bed of melted cheese and sprinkled with scallions and tomatoes topped with a bit of shredded cheese and sour cream; next time we would forgo the Velveeta-like cheese on the bottom). We enjoyed our lunch at the NBC Sports Arena.

nice place

If you like sports!

By Rjf9999 |

The Phillies played Kansas City in a battle to the last out and we decided to check out the Infinity Live Complex across from Citizen's Bank Park. We stopped for a beer outside in the sun and watched on the jumbo screen for a bit and then walked around inside. The place is huge with high ceilings and central massive TV displaying the local game. There are many restaurant and bar choices within the single venue. We chose to sit in from of the large TV and had snacks from the NBC Sports Bar & Grill. The service was friendly, prompt and attentive. The food, potato skins, wings and cheddar bites was well prepared and very good for "Bar Snacks". The beer was served cold and hit the spot. The place is loud, as a sports bar would be, but you could find restaurants around the perimeter of the large hall with more intimate seating. I don't know for sure, but it appeared that there were second floor private spaces for small group gatherings. As far as value, our meal for 3 was about $40 with two beers and a soda to drink. Compared to going to the game, the food prices were very reasonable and the huge screen and fan excitement make this a great spot to watch sports. Be aware that parking is in the regular stadium lot and they charge $15. I still felt that the overall experience was well worth it. (Traffic out to the city after the game was as usual!).

Will do in a pinch

By Decemberborn |

Stopped in here for a bite to eat in between a tour at The Linc and a Phillies game. This was the only restaurant open at the time we arrived. We were seated promptly and drink orders were taken. We had some questions about the menu and the server explained them to us. Daughter thought she was getting a $3 side caesar salad but it turned out to be a $5 salad as she ordered a burger in which the fries were extra also. Husband and my orders were ok and our salads were $3. Thinking I was ordering something like a french dip I also asked for au jus when my meal came I realized I didn't need the au jus after all as my sandwich had gravy. The guy who brought the sandwich out said he was coming right up with the au jus. I never did receive it, which is fine. There weren't that many sports on the TV that I was interested in, just Wimbledon and The Tour de France and ESPN which you couldn't hear anyway as all the sound was turned down. Our drinks were refilled and the food was ok. It was nice to get out of the hot sun and sit down for an hour or so in between the tour and game.

Disappointment visit

By yhaidy R |

Waitresses are the worse, very unattentive and rude. Also very expensive. Went in for a good time and left early. NBC has to modify the service in this establishment.

Great food and tons of fun

By Derrick T |

I stopped here while in philly for work. Their was a Phillies game going on in town and a preseason eagles road game that night and the place was packed. They offer great food which seems high priced just looking at the menu but they give you a lot of food for what you pay for. They have tons of servers so you don't have to worry about waiting for drinks or ordering. Only issue I had was no bud light. Miller, coors and some other beers but they had summer shandy so that made up for it.

Dinner before the game

By Gregwhereareyou |

This location is awesome - have your food & drink, then walk over for a football, baseball, basketball or hockey game-- so this rating is based on food only - no better than a 2 - not even for bar food - and it was pricey.

Watch out for glass charges

By BobfinNH |

Met friends in this bar at XFinity live and ordered two larger draft beers. Asked our server at the time if I could pay at the time I placed my order, and his response was no I'll just run a tab. Well we were just having one and were in town for the NCAA Frozen Four, so server knew we were likely rookies. Just had the one beer so we could go to one of the outside bars. When I did ask for the tab the beers were $11 each and there was a souvenir glass charge. It seems you are automatically charged for the glass, which you can not bring into the arena. Two beers $28.50. Server knew this when I ordered but obviously neglected to offer the info (maybe he is instructed to not inform). Would seek out the other options at Xfinity Live complex as it is clear the NBC Sports restaurant is more interested in tricking consumers. Almost asked for the $1.50 back from the $30 I plunked down.

The Atmosphere of a Dull Cave

By boothy443 |

I wasn't expecting much when i came in, matter of fact i wasn't even sure it was open. The Sports Arena is an oversized well sports bar sitting in the middle of Xfinity live. Yes it has a ticker, yes it has a gigantic video board. But no it doesn't have a lot of character. Admittedly i went on a saturday afternoon when no events on note were going on at the sports complex (well there was the "blowout sale" at the Wells Fargo Center) and nothing was really going on in the world of sports. While there was a decent crowd considering it was a bit quiet. Only stayed for 2 drinks, a Lager and a Victory, pricy ones at that. But considering the venue i am not overly surprised. While they do have food service i didn't order anything, nor was i offered a menu. I felt sort of rushed in paying for my check as well, i don't know if it was a shift change or what, but after one drink the bartender put my check in front of me and said "when your ready." Now i know some places do put checks in front of you in shot glasses, but that's usually for them to keep track of your bill, particular when it's busy. But, it wasn't busy and nor did i ask for my check or make any inkling of leaving. I had one additional drink, only because i had a hankering for something more filling and really didn't feel like driving around to another place. But i just really felt like i was being rushed. Otherwise the service was ok. To me this wasn't any thing more than your typical oversized sports bar. And unless i was at the sports complex for an event, it would not be a place that i would probably think about going to if i was in Philadelphia.

Poor food, slow service

By Karn J |

We were in the area for the Frozen Four hockey tournament, so had the misfortune of choosing this place twice. Big mistake! The atmosphere I stream for a sports bar, but they have work to do on the food quality and service side. Our first visit was before the tournament, so we gave them a break thinking the B staff was on. Unfortunately not the case. First the food - the Stromboli seemed to be the only thing on the menu that was good. We also tried chicken nachos (large, but bland and all chips from the bottom of the bag that had been stepped on), chicken parm sandwich (dry), pizza (greasy and bland), Funnel cake fries ( excellent). Now the service- they do not have anything in bottles except beer or tea. That was odd for a sports bar, but manageable. The first night our non-beer drinker ordered red wine, which was served in a short bar glass (odd-wine shooters!). The wine was not great, so the second night she tried white wine, only to be to.d they were completely out of white wine. Really? They had 18,000 hockey fans going through the area and a home Phillies game the same night. You'd think they would be stocked. The bigger issue, however, was how slow the service was. We had to ask for refills repeatedly. They would have sold a lot more if they just came back and asked to refill drinks and then actually delivered the refills. Whenever we ordered refills, it took at least two requests to actually get them. The first night they blamed the kitchen for slow food and drinks. The second night they blamed the bar. In either case, the server didn't come by in a timely fashion, so it didn't matter. Choose one of the other bars/restaurants in this area. There has to be a better option than slow, lousy food, poor service and limited beverage choices. We wish we had not gone back.

Great sports bar

By skip m |

While at the Octoberfest we decided to have lunch at the NBC sports bar.Even though all the tables and bar were full the service was good and the food came out fast.We all had different dishes and everyone enjoyed their food. What a place for viewing sports.

Much better than expected.

By gramps918 |

Went here on our way to the Garth Brooks concert. Expected mediocre food at ridiculous prices. Found just the opposite. The food, chicken quesadilla, sliders, and wings, was quite tasty. The beer ice cold and around $4. The service excellent despite the huge crowd. Plus the atmosphere was absolutely electric, loud but exactly appropriate for a concert.

Excellent Pre-sports/concert hangout.

By mdtar |

If you are attending a sports function or concert at the sports complex, start your evening here. Great party atmosphere inside and out. Great restaurants and drink options. Went here before a concert and it was packed. Should have went earlier but we ended up outside enjoying a cover band on the patio. I have been to many sports events in different cities, and this was the best pre-game set up I have seen. Great idea.

Bad service

By ZoePR |

Went for drinks and almost had to beg for service, place was not even packed. Had a beer and left, first time in Philadelphia was looking for a good time. Stay away from this place, total disappointment

At least the TVs are good

By amanda42 |

Stopped by here before a Phillies game to meet up with friends. One of them was pregnant and the only seating is barstools so it's not super comfortable. It was busy full of people before the game so it took a while to get our order in and then my husband got the wrong beer and it took longer to get the right one. The food wasn't anything special and pretty over priced. I'd compare it to a very low end ESPN Zone. Nice TVs but it was really loud and couldn't hear the conversation from across the table.

Average

By Scott H |

My wife and i went here before the Kiss concert last night. Seated pretty quick but took a long time until our server came by. Ordered nachos with shredded chicken and the bbq burger to split. The nachos were stale and tasteless. Definitely not worth $15. The burger and fries were decent though. The menus is limited but seems like a fun place pre or post show.

Go here before or instead of going to the games all the time

By phyllis z |

Love eating here. Love meeting here. Was there last week and watch Temple win the ACC and the Flyers at the same time. Oh yeah-and Villanova was playing on another TV. Had great food and drinks. Can get very crowded. Seems noisy no matter how many people are in there. There are lots of bathrooms-which is great in a drinking establishment. It is part of our ritual before or instead of going to games.

Good Gluten Free bun

By jadybugs |

We arrived really early for a college football game and this was one of the places open so we figured we would grab a quick bite. There were 3 hostesses and we asked them about gluten free but they were clueless. Since no where else was open yet we went in anyways and they didn't stop us so when we sat at a table they, after a short time, came up to tell us that we cannot sit there. Very puzzling why they wouldn't mention it when we walked pass them in to the restaurant. Anyways they took us a bit further away but in a table for 2. It was strange as it never got that busy as it was really early before game. The waitress was very nice. She knew the gluten free choices and we settled on sharing a turkey club which she halved for us. At first touch i wasn't sure but it actually turned out to be very good and we were happy with the choice! Cider was good too!

BBQ Chicken Wrap

By JimDeBerry |

I came around lunchtime to check things out and ended getting a BBQ Chicken Wrap. If I had to guess the chicken was frozen but it was not bad. giant TV for sports about 30 feet if I had to guess. Fun time with Friends and Family after the Phillies Tour. Somewhat similar to the brand in Orlando.

Great bar, good service

By Alan S |

Fun place to pre or post game. The bar has good service, the food selection is pretty good and well prepared. The bar staff are professional and attentive.

loved the vibe and location

By janicepk |

This was a great place to start before our Elton John concert. Had a great table with views of the TV's. Fun listening to the DJ. Food was fine, but really is the atomosphere. We came back for drinks after the concert and had fun dancing in the central area.

Good food; extreme noise level; energetic crowds

By Montana_Rustler |

After attending a recent Eagles game, we elbowed our way into the NBC arena. The noise was deafening, and the place was so crowded one could hardly move. However, once we found a table, the service was excellent. The food was delivered promptly, and it was hot and very good (Pizza and wings). We stayed in place for about 90 minutes, slowing eating and watching more football. It was too noise to have much conversation, but the energy in the place was fun. We had some additional entertainment when a couple of alcohol induced fights broke out, but it was impressive to watch the security people very competently deal with drunk young men. We decided that this is a good place to head after an NFL game at the Linc, while waiting for traffic to subside.

If I could give worse than terrible

By Carlos M |

Food order could not be delivered to our sitting location. Had to wait at bar for delivery and it came 25 minutes after I was told it would be 10 minutes. Food cold and missing a paid addition. Avoid at all cost!

Terrible food, ok drinks and big screens

By crisenda |

Do not eat here, just drink and watch the screens. The food is just awful. They want to make their money off the alcohol and not their food. The service is awful and the food is barely edible. But with friends to drink a beer it's an OK place. To bad this could be a great place.

Ok sports bar.

By agflag |

Walked in set at the bar by myself. The bartender was busy talking to other employees. Took a few mins to get served. The place is close to the sports stadiums. The food is a bit pricey and limited. Lots of TVs

Looks Like A Rocking Place On Gameday

By AlphaRam |

This is a lively complex with a variety of food and drinks from which to choose. I would recommend that you avoid getting a cheese steak from Geno's - that was like a shoe leather sandwich. Anyway, Broad street Bullies has good drinks. PBR has meatless nachos (who does that???). There are TVs everywhere and it is the place to be if you cannot be at the game.

Very bad experience!

By TravelingTogether5 |

My daughter has celiac disease. We went to the restaurant before a Phillies game on her birthday. . The item that she got was listed as gluten free on the menu. When we talked to the waiter, he blew us off and Wouldnt listen when we tried to explain that it had to be totally gluten free. She ordered it, ate it, then we went to the game. After the fourth inning, she ran to the bathroom and said her stomach hurt. She spent the rest of the game in the bathroom. She threw up so many times, she couldn't even leave the bathroom and had to lay on the floor. I spent the time with her. I am so disappointed in that restaurant. We lost time and money invested in the game. Restaurant, if you say it's gluten free, make sure it's gluten free.

Pleasantly Surprised

By Marc19002 |

Went for lunch before a Flyers game with my wife. I didn't expect a whole lot but we were both pleasantly surprised. The food was very good. We ordered some boneless chicken wings and a pizza. Both were excellent and reasonably priced. Great place to watch games on TV. Service was excellent.

A great date

By Coach T |

What a cool place with so much happening. Their tons of TVs of all sizes can be seen from all over. Their waitstaff and bartenders are just cool people. The food was great and had that Philly taste. Accidents happen and they are great at fixing them pronto with satisfaction guaranteed. The food and the drinks are on point. Def a must when in Xfinity.

Food was average and service was very slow

By RJFfromCO |

The stromboli was good but the other items our group of 7 ordered were a bit of a let down. Service was extremely slow and we often had to remind the waiter we were waiting on items. This was on a Wednesday.....I can't imagine it would be any better on a game day.

Best waiter ever

By Justin W |

We are Oriole fans that went to the Phillies-Orioles game. Before the game we decided to spend time in Xfinity Live, unsure what what we would do when we got there. Soon we decided to have a meal and picked NBC Sports Arena. What a great choice we made. The food was excellent and at a fair price. The winner however, was the waiter. At some point we told him that we are Oriole fans and that this was our first time at Citizens Bank Park. He went on to tell us a little about the park and where the best food stand was. We even talked a little about Camden Yards. We both felt really welcome in Philadelphia by our experience. I looked around and it looked like other Oriole fans were getting the same experience.

Best views of TVs

By Kat |

This particular bar inside xfinity has the best views of the huge screen for watching the game. They also had an awesome deal for 1/2 off appetizers and $3 beers following the Phillies game. We had the chicken fingers with fries and thought they were great for the $5.50 sale price following the game. Waitress was kind as well. Overall, great atmosphere on game days!
