I was taken to this place by a family member. I was impressed. The food is prepared while you wait. The taste and amounts are very satisfying. Stop by when in the area.

ordereddue to high uber eats rating, however the queso received was velveeta, not quesa nd the chicken rice bowls were moer than a little bland. Best part of the meal was the churros desserts

I loved the food , definitely will come back, the decoration it's very nice, friendly ambience, food tasted fresh and flavorful I loved the mango and peach sauce and also the avocado and tomatillo.

We found this small strip mall place across from the Hampton Inn we stayed in before a recent cruise departure. Nothing fancy in decore, but the food was OUTSTANDING, and totally prepared in front of you, including creation of the giant flour tortillas out of which burritos were made. Wide variety of fillings, and great salsas to accompany them. Wish they were in Austin. They would make a fortune.

Fresh, made to order tortillas was my draw and I did not regret it. Option between wheat or white tortillas. Tortillas were thin, my preference as the filling is the main event. I went two times while in town. There is a salsa bar with great mango salsa. The queso was wonderful as well.

Food made and cook to your preference right before your eyes. Burritos and quesadillas tortillas prepared with a press before everything else added. Small place large in flavor.

In all honesty, I have never been to "Chipotle", therefore I can't compare it but it was a pleasant lunch experience for an affordable price. It takes a couple of minutes before you understand how it works but as soon as you have figured it out it becomes very easy. First: Pick what kind of dish you would like, second, pick your main components, than choose all your condiments, that's the long version in short. Again, not a Mexican restaurant, a TexMex restaurant, therefore the flavors were good, portion sizes are big, ambiance nice and the food comes out in no time. Nothing fancy, nothing special but good. So I would rather give it a good than a very good but I finished my plate, therefore I give it a "very good". and it was convenient located in walking distance to our hotel, which was the main reason we came here and discovered Xochimex.

We wandered in to Xochimex while looking for a late dinner. The menu is mainly tacos and other Mexican items with a nice variety. We both had fish tacos, which were OK. The fish was freshly fried but was obviously frozen. There were a variety of available toppings but some of them appeared to have been sitting out all day (the Pico did not look good). The service was quick (no one else was there.....it was about 8:30) and prices aren't bad.

Stopped in during a mini vacation. Wanted something quick. My son got a chicken burrito and I got fish tacos. We both liked it a lot. Portions are huge and filling, and for a pretty good price. If you get the fish tacos, definitely try the cilantro garlic sauce!

The food was very good and well priced. I would definitely eat there again if you don't mind the unfriendliness. We were the only people there and the clerk ignored us, she eventually gruffly asked what we wanted like it was an inconvenience to her. A soon as we got our food she left for the day so I suppose it was because it was the end of her shift

A short walk from the Hampton inn. Friendly staff, good menu, fresh, delicious food. This is a place where you order at a counter, then after getting your food, you find a seat. Makes for a quicker meal.

Stopped in here with my family for dinner, and it was a really good meal. The food is made fresh in front of you, and we got extremely friendly service. The two people working went out of their way to make sure we had a great meal. Also, the prices were very reasonable and the restaurant was very clean.

We visit very often this place for lunch, the tacos are great and also the quesadillas are one of the best in Miami. They have a machine that makes the quesadillas fresh from scrach! the ladies working there are like family, super nice and sweet, they always try to make you feel comfortable and prepare the food like home! Love the sauces with mango and tomatoes, also the jarritos!! If you like Mexican food you need to go to this place, is really awesome!

Great place within walking distance of Hampton Inn. My husband had the steak tacos, and I had a rice bowl. You custom order everything to your specifications. Food was fresh and delicious. Service could have used a touch more friendliness, and we were bummed that the salsa bar was empty. Otherwise, an excellent meal that was very affordable!

Xochimex Cantina Grill is very much like Chipotle in concept but their food is much more authentic and delicious. Located in a strip center near MIA it's not easy to find, but worth the search. Choose your entree- Burrito, Tacos, Quesadilla, Nachos, Rice Bowl or Salad. Then pick your meats (including fish or meatless) and your sides to customize your order. Really good Signature Sauces (Chipotle, Avocado Ranch, Habanero, Garlic Cilantro or Garlic Aioli. Service is attentive and quick. Also great fresh Tomatillo salsa is available. Great lunch for $10!

Food and staff was outstanding. We visited on 2 occasions and the food was very tasty and fresh. My favorite was the nachos with the Cilantro Garlic Sauce

This place is similar to a Chipotle or Moe's, but better and fresher. Had the Carne Asada burrito and it was excellent. You can tell how fresh the ingredients are that go into the meal. Plus the ladies behind the counter were very helpful and friendly.

This was almost an hidden gem experience, the food was so fresh and delicious would definitely eat there again 😋👍glad we had the chance to taste it 👍

The food here was great and you got more than enough of it. Service was good and the restaurant was clean.

This is a similar set up to the Chipolte restaurants where you go up to the counter and pick your food. We chose the rice dishes with chicken, lots to eat and good value.

This is the real deal. This is the best Mexican food I have had since we left San Diego 7 years ago. More Baja flavor than Yucatan. Insane fish tacos! Abuelita makes the tortillas by hand while you wait! Yummy!

We were looking for a quality Mexican food and we founded here!!! Fresh done tortilla wraps, several options to fill it and a really good size portions. Quick service and friendly staff. Definitely we love it ❤️❤️❤️

Fresh pressed tortilla, meat is cooked to order, the pork was outstanding. Chips are made right there. It was truly the best burrito I have ever had. Can’t wait to go back.

This seems to be a trendy place in a mini mall area (Publix plaza). It seems to be a step up from chipotle and a little more expensive, but the food is good. I'd go back again.

Here on business and checked out trip advisor for a close by restaurant to try. We ordered a vegetarian burrito that was amazing! Everything was fresh and the tortilla was perfection. Delicious! Bring your appetite! Topped off with delicious fried cheesecake. Fantastic ! Highly recommend - what a great place and super friendly staff.

Everyone was so nice. Food was delicious and fresh. They made my soft shells on the spot. I highly recommend this restaurant.

really enjoyed my rice bowl. portions were huge U>S type sizes, enough for 3 meals, but tasty and good price in an expensive city.

I agree that it very similar to chipotle but they make your tortilla hand made when you order which is pretty cool to see. I had the rice bowl with chicken. It was good. They have a good variety of salsas for your chips. I would go back to try more. The portions are huge.

The food is fresh and not full of salt and preservatives. I have ordered everyday this week. I am never disappointed, and this girl is picky. Trust me and thank me later

The worst service ever by an employee and the worst part is that she kept arguing like an insane person and then she tried to post as a manager. The place needs some one in charge that care about customers and the food quality. Don't VISIT that restaurant

Had burritos, quesadilla and tacos al pastor. All very good. Mango salsa also very good! If I lived here would be a regular visitor!

Wandered in here purely on chance whilst staying close by. Got the meatless burrito, it was excellent. Can't think of much to add, the food was fresh, tasty at a good price and a friendly ambiance. Would not hesitate to return.

We were driving around looking for good Mexican, hard to do in an all Cuban area, but we stumbled upon this very authentic Mexican grill. There was some small language barriers, but easily addressed, the staff helped us decide on several different items: Tacos, loaded nachos, quesadillas, salads, burritos. ingredients were grilled up fresh, we were offered lots of options, all very tasty. The food was delicious, hot, plentiful and the staff was friendly and pleasant. Definitely will revisit and well worth the very inexpensive cost. By the way, they make cookies each day, which we tried, and for $2.50, I got 4 cookies. Huge bargain.

We stayed at a hotel close to here. The food and service was fantastic. Very good. Everyone left full.

Out if this world nachos! Pulled pork carnitas and queso to die for! Very friendly service as well as simple to follow menu. A must stop while in the Miami area
Fresh, made to order, including tortilla
I was heading back to the airport, and stumbled upon this place. I later learned it is part of a small chain. Think of it as a small-scale Chipotle, but the tortilla is fresh pressed per order! (White or wheat). I had the 3 tacos that were packed full of fresh ingredients (3 kind of beans are available: black, pinto or refried). I also had the tortilla soup, which had just right amount of heat and lime! I would definitely hit this place again, if I am in the area.
