Good food but way overpriced

By Rocky S |

If you have an unlimited budget and don’t mind paying double the fair price for ordinary food, then this is the place for you. I know LA rent is high, but if they had reasonable prices, this place would be packed. $68 for a whole chicken fried. Whoa. For those prices eat at Ivy and get the free champagne. Service good. Atmosphere beautiful. Strange spicy watermelon I would not recommend. One final word - at those prices I expected real maple syrup - not some goo - for the waffles.

Delicious food, good service and great atmosphere

By David N |

This restaurant and bar has a very relaxed atmosphere and comfortable seating options. The service was very good and the food delicious at a reasonable price

Best Fried Chicken Around

By Bobbi F |

Best fried chicken in LA. The chicken is super moist, great flavor and melts in your mouth. The deviled eggs are outstanding. Atmosphere is farmhouse appeal. This restaurant is new, only been open a month and they seem to have their act together. The peach cobbler for dessert is out of this world so save room. The chicken and waffle is a lot for one. I recommend sharing so you can try more stuff.

A nice place

By molime1 |

We went there for brunch and we had the chicken and waffles which was nice, the chicken portions were great, we had a breast, wing and a thigh and it does come with hot sauce but I wish the chicken came spicy. The kids had the beignets (she said it was ok) the avocado toast (she loved) and crème brûlée waffles the last kid said they were too sweet. It was a pricey brunch for 5.

OK food, OK drinks, very loud

By BLtrvl |

Maybe we visited on an off day, but the food was nothing special, draft list pretty limited (and nothing outstanding), and hard to carry on a conversation without yelling...

Best Southern food in L.A.

By Ray S |

A great selection of southern dishes served in an attractive setting. The best fried chicken and biscuits, fresh salads, and unique appetizers. The open kitchen adds to the fun. Excellent service from the bar to the table. Valet and self parking. Street level at the south east corner of the Beverly Center.

Phenomenal dinner

By MsKiesha |

I had a fantastic experience! The food was amazing! It was plentiful, flavorful, and creatively presented. Our waitress Tamika was phenomenal from the word hello. She was attentive, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and her spirit was lively and pure. The atmosphere was warm and the ambiance was relaxing. I would definitely recommend this place and plan to return.

Unbelievably good

By AAGill |

We rocked up 2 days after their soft open, and lo and behold the restaurant was almost full. They quickly seated our family of 4 and right away we could see that the place was heaving with excitement and energy. The interior is gorgeous, the back of the bar is a wall of bourbons (their specialty). We were looked after by a friendly young man called Nick who was very knowledgeable. Based on his advice with our choices of food and drinks I must say that we had one of the best dinning experience ever. Nick is the perfect host, he is very attentive without being intrusive. The chicken here is to die for and that's just the chicken. The cocktails and sides are also heavenly. This place is going to be full every night, Im sure of it so book well in advance.

Fun place for brunch.

By Ryan M |

We crushed a few delicious beverages while waiting for our delicious food to arrive. The crabcakes were bangin and the chicken and waffles was insane. Definitely not a place to be if you don't love delicious food.

Amazing service combined with great food

By CaymanMom1 |

The manager, Charity, offered exceptional hospitality and made our experience feel like true Southern hospitality in the middle of Beverly Hills. She took time with my daughters and me when we were shown to our table and was very gracious as we discussed the recent fires. We have been to the Yardbird in Vegas so we knew the food was great but Charity and her staff raise the LA location to new heights. We will definitely be back. Thanks y'all.

Amazing food and great service

By Christel S |

The starters are superb, but huge so suggest sharing 1 between two. They are famous for the chicken, so go for it - just prepare for a massive portion. The Oreo dessert is legendary - go for it! This is wall to wall to the Beverly Center - hence a great place to end the shopping. The service is great and the guests may view the open kitchen.

5-star cornbread!

By se_bonilla |

I can’t tell you how good the food is. If you’re into southern style, you won’t want to miss it. Their cornbread is stellar! So is the smoked skillet sandwich.

Meh. There are much better options in this neighborhood.

By Merrill O |

(Probably 3.5 stars, but I can't justify rounding up to 4 stars.) Okay. Pabst Blue Ribbon. $9. For HAPPY HOUR!! Unless that's for a whole 6-pack of PBR, that's ridiculous even by LA standards! Other than them having lost their mind on pricing PBR, the decor is lovely, the outdoor seating is great, happy hour goes until 7, and service is pretty friendly and attentive. The food was hit or miss, though. We had the chicken wings, which were amazing....and the bacon-wrapped shrimp which were not good. I didn't even finish one, and I thought I could eat ANYthing, if it was wrapped in bacon. So, nice for outside seating, but there are so many better places for happy hour now, in the area from the Beverly Center down to the Grove. Wander elsewhere.

Can't beat the deviled eggs

By Tracey F |

Fantastic experience. Our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful and answered all of our questions about the menu (being Australians we had to ask about grits, hush puppies and biscuits). Food was very good and portions huge, but the highlight was the deviled eggs. These are nothing like the deviled eggs my mother made in the 70's 😊 Cocktail menu mainly bourbon based which was a little disappointing but good wine list. All in all great night out

Fabulous food and service!

By KellyAnn W |

Visited for lunch, whilst on vacation from Scotland. The food was fabulous (I would highly recommend the smoked brisket sandwich), and the service from Christina was second to none. We will definitely return before we leave.

Had high hopes

By Isunwin |

My friend mentioned that this restaurant serves the best fried chicken he ever had so I was eager to take my husband here for date night. We had a 630 reservation and were seated promptly. We started with the butter leaf and mango salad and homemade biscuits and both were delicious. Then we ordered the fried chicken, side of Mac and Cheese, side of mashed potato. This is where it went downhill. It took about a 1/2 to get our order. Our server did not approach during this time to offer refill of our drinks or to notify us that there was a problem. Another server noticed a look of annoyance on my face and he came over to inquire. He apologized for the delay and explained that the table in front of us ordered 12 orders of the fried chicken so they were behind. It would have been nice for our server to give us this info. When the food did come, it certainly wasn’t the best we ever had. Very disappointed with our experience. More so because of our server.

The Good, the Bad and the downright Ugly....

By FrequentFlier01 |

I had really enjoyed two previous visits to this place - nice food and service, if a bit on the expensive side for what was on offer. Lovely ambience in the bar. Tonight- a Sunday- it was a totally different story. I sat at the bar, and the service was “grumpy” to say the least and I didn’t feel welcome. I suspect that the staff were over worked and under resourced. I ordered soup (no- it had run out) then devilled eggs (also out). I settled on peel and eat shrimp, but then got a different order of BBQ shrimp which I can’t eat (the chemically fake BBQ sauce is revolting). Such a shame- and a real disappointment on my last evening in LA. After many years of travelling across the globe I’ve come to the conclusion that the best way to judge a place is on how it treats you on a quiet night. The US frequently fails this test, I’m afraid, probably because the servers and bar staff are so reliant on gratuities and resent working a quiet night. The model is corrupt and broken. The Land of Opportunity is really the Land of Grabbing Money By Any Means. Disappointing but not at all surprising. I will not be back to Yardbird, and look forward to better and more consistent experiences in Europe later this month.

A Southern Experience!

By Real Life Moments |

I’m southern so I definitely have a pallet for good “American Southern Food” the food was so delicious and the combination of spices in every dish was so well thought out and you can totally taste that experience when you dine here! I had the best time! The space is very open and busy! I love the vibe here! You can dine with friends or family or even catch up with friends at the bar! The staff is so friendly and is sooooo suggestive with the menu which helps because everything reads so good on the menu you could have a hard time picking... I highly recommend dining with friends and family and ordering multiple things off the menu to experience everything! The sweet tea braised roast was amazing! I’ve never even heard of a conversation as such! I’ve been to a lot of restaurants in Los Angeles, but this place is definitely a different vibe! They put the “G” GOOD! I love it! I definitely will be making my way back to Yardbirds! A few dishes to request: The Roast Spicy Watermelon BBQ Shrimp Mac & Cheese Lobster Mac

Fabulous service from Alon, very attentive server. Great food, fast service. I had a lovely seat in the sun (shaded). Good menu and drinks Great location

Good gay friendly dinner

By tony0819chgori |

Located in the Beverly Center right off of La Cienega outside on Street level. Parking is on the second floor in the Beverly Center marked for restaurant parking. Parking is for valet only, it’s eight dollars for three hours. Self Park is about two dollars for about an hour I ordered the fried chicken à la cart ($26) and the ranch fries ($10). My partner ordered the chicken and waffles ($36) and the corn bread ($10). The service was good and once we ordered the food came out very very fast. The corn bread was super tasty and very buttery. It was more like cake. The a la Carte chicken dinner came with four pieces and the breading was extra crispy and very flavorful. The ranch fries came with a side of ranch and we’re about medium size, not for sharing, very tasty. I had the pineapple drink and he had the peach cocktail. Both were good. Thanks Janji - server.

Been a fan for years of all locations

By jessicaruiz1977 |

I've been a massive fan of Yardbird in Miami for almost ten years, in fact, its my favorite restaurant there, and when I caught wind of them opening up near the Beverly Center in LA, I couldn't contain myself. This is now my top 3 favorite restaurants in Los Angeles, do yourself a favor and go multiple times and order one of everything.

Great Food & Fun Time

By dennis g |

Took my family to celebrate my adult sons Birthday. Our server Danielle was outstanding. Knowledgable, funny, concerned that our meal was just right. We had the Hush puppies & Fried green tomato BLT to start all good. We shared the full bird a fried chicken & waffles with spiced watermelon. Also 2 orders of ribs with fall off the bone delicious flavor. Collard greens & the corn & a side of mac & cheese. Six adults & food to take home.

Best Chicken and Drinks In Los Angeles

By Christopher M |

I love this restaurant, and it is my new place to bring friends when I want to impress them. The staff is amazing and really sets this restaurant apart from anything else around Los Angles. The portions are generous and the food is so good. Don’t miss the chicken! If you don’t want the huge portion, order the wings at the bar and you get a huge plate of wings without the waffle and watermelon. If you like comfort food, make sure to try this place.

THIS FOOD IS BAE 😂

By OBVIOUS Magazine |

This is our SIXTH time eating here and the food is always on point. Today we brought out new P.A. who recently moved from Atlanta. He is in awe! He ordered the THE GREAT AMERICAN BURGER with FRIES. I ordered the KALE SALAD V with MAMA’S BISCUITS (we split. You get 4). Everything is fresh and delicious. The staff is ALWAYS kind and make suggestions if you feel stuck on what to ordered. You must visit this chic restaurant. The decor is beautiful. We are coming back this weekend to try brunch.

Very good

By Siyami |

Originally we love taste of yardbird, but this one at beverly hills center was one of the best. Service was excellent too, price performance very good too.

Wonderful food and lounge ambience

By KBTravellers |

Hubby and I stumbled upon this place while looking for another restaurant. We reviewed the menu and decided to stay and give it a try. The restaurant has a nice "pumping" vibe and the service is excellent! We tried the smoked bbq ribs which were falling off the bone, the bacon salt fries and the skillet cooked cornbread filled with just enough bacon and jalapenos. The dip that came with the fries was also out of this world! When they found out that I was celebrating my birthday....they surprised me with a sweetened biscuit filled with strawberries and whip cream....not sure of the name of the dessert, but it was divine! So, if you're looking for a place to hang out with gourmet, tasty food....give YardBird a try!!

A great introduction to southern comfort food

By Darienn3 |

Since we don’t get this type of food in Hong Kong, it was great to try elevated southern comfort food. Highly recommend for family meals since the food is great for sharing. Recommended dishes: - smoked ribs - biscuits - crispy Brussels - and of course, fried chicken

Dinner 3 times in 2 weeks

By Tarek |

We have visited the restaurant 3 times in 2 weeks and they were awesome. Last time the host Ryan was very good in accommodating all our requests. Best dishes to order: The Rib Mamas biscuits Egg

Late Lunch

By Matthew J |

We ate here after shopping at Beverly Center. We had a salad and buffalo chicken. The food was good, but the chicken was somewhat spicy. We learned later that they can prepare it in a different way if you wish.

Great fried chicken

By Tyler Austin |

Yardbird's first LA location does not disappoint! My friends and I ate here tonight and absolutely loved the food. Specifically, the brussel sprouts and the fried chicken (their specialty). The brussel sprouts were crispy and sweet, peeled into thin layers like potato chips. We shared the half-chicken between three people, which was enough food along with a salad and some sides. We did experience a few service issues, including the wrong food coming to the table and our table not being ready despite a reservation, but the restaurant is only 3 weeks old, and the management took care of the issues for us to our satisfaction.

Good food and drinks

By thisgirl_Gray |

Visited Yardbird LA on Sunday 06/03/18 for brunch with a couple coworkers. We had a choice of seating and we chose the chef's tables which are across from the kitchen. I enjoyed that seat as it was fun to see all the different dishes prepared. We all ordered various drinks, I even tried the juice cleanse as a starter which although rather small was delicious. The drinks were very good, although they could have been lighter on the alcohol as I'm not a serious drinker. As for the food, we all ordered the chicken, plus a few other things. The chicken was juicy and tender. The waffle on the side was good too. They add watermelon, but since I don't eat watermelon I didnt eat it, but my fellow diners said it was sweet. I also got the macaroni and cheese. It was ok, I think it needed to be seasoned a little more, the flavor was rather bland, but it was cheesy. I also ordered the blueberry pancakes with the fruit compote on top and they were nice and fluffy and they give you a stack of 6. The side of bacon (4 slices) was perfection! Nice and crispy; a long with the mama's biscuits which were excellent, especially with the jam and honey butter. We ended our meal with the maple bacon donuts and they didnt disappoint. The service was excellent (our server was AJ)! We enjoyed meeting Josh, the guy behind those famous drink mixes, and Dixon did her thang bringing those drink recipes to fruition! Management was visually present making sure all the guests in the restaurant was being taken care of, which was the icing on the cake. I will definitely be returning, and will probably pop in for my lunch since I'm lucky enough to work across the street from this location.

Always an excellent venue for lunch on the run or for large dinners!

By Robert E |

I think I've been to Yardbird 7-8 times in Miami, Las Vegas, and finally in Los Angeles. Los Angeles being by far the best of the location. The food is top notch as always, the beverages are boozy and the atmosphere is far from pretentious. What made the Los Angeles branch was Tamara and Phil. Tamara was fast and always checking on our table - she took all 11 orders to memory and provided personal recommendations. I had a question on the bill, Phil was readily to accommodate any way he could (turned out to be a misunderstanding on our part). Leaving the restaurant, I received nothing but props from my clients for choosing Yardbird.

Okay

By allnines1414 |

We had lunch there the other day and the mango salad was excellent. The chicken and waffles were good but rather expensive compared to everything else. The server was very helpful.

Wonderful restaurant

By psbauer135 |

We weren’t sure what to expect with this restaurant, but our meal was a delightful surprise. Getting to the Beverly Center involves traffic, but once you get there, the valet parking is easy. The restaurant is right around the corner. The ambience is light industrial but with nice touches, such as good lighting. Our waitress came over immediately, took our drink order and answered questions about the menu. We ordered the half chicken, fried very nicely and the portion was certainly large enough to share. The real standouts were the vegetables: we had the wonderful Brussel sprouts and the street corn. The corn was perfect with cheese, but the brussel sprouts had been roasted in honey and were almost like dessert. We also ordered the biscuits, which were double size and came with honey butter and apple buttter, 4 to the plate and right out of the oven. Service was excellent and the price was fair. An excellent dinner.

DELICIOUS WITH GREAT GLUTEN FREE OPTIONS

By GFFoodWineLover |

We came on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. We were seated outside but with the bus noises and traffic we asked to sit inside which was better. It was still pretty noisy but died down after the soccer game was over. We had 2 of their specialty sparkling wine cocktails which were fine. Our LD ordered a Moscow Mule which was just so so. Our server was wonderful. Her first question was if there were any allergies which I appreciated since I usually have to tell a server of my gluten allergy. She suggested some of their gluten free options and also the menu was marked GF. My HH and LD had the chicken and waffles which they thoroughly enjoyed especially with the bourbon maple syrup and honey hot sauce. My gluten free waffles were outstanding. They had caramel sauce with caramelized bananas and pecans ~ So Good! I had a side of bacon which was nothing special. Also we shared a bowl of grits which were very light and fluffy. My HH had their Peach Cobbler for dessert which was excellent. Fun restaurant with fantastic food and service.

Good food but overpriced

By iris B |

The address states Beverly Blvd. but it's actually on 3rd and LaCienega. There's valet parking with a reduced rate of you get the restaurant to validate. Went for dinner with friends. We had reservations and was seated immediately. I ordered the half fried chicken and brussel sprouts. Both were good but cost $38. To me, that's overpriced. Our server, Noah, was excellent. He was attentive, courteous, and professional.

Southern Style comfort food, done with imagination

By Mazuza2 |

We stopped here for dinner, with family to try this new restaurant in Los Angeles. My son has heard good things about Yardbird and wanted to give it a try. They have a bold atmsphere, The kitchen is open where you can see all the action while the food is being prepared. We chose a table right by the kitchen where we could see everything. My wife has food allergy issues and the waiter, Adam was able to answer all her questions. The head chef even came out to help. She had southern fried chicken for the first time, because it has no egg wash for breading. We had a great conversation with him, because many of the dishes are unique. We asked about the smoke filled bell jarsthey were preparing, and he told us they were for smoked ribs. He sent a gratis sample plate. They were delicious. I had Shrimp and Grits that were delicious. We had the Mama's Biscuits, Peel and eat shrimp. Macaroni and Cheese, Fried green tomato BLT, Collard greens and salads. The service was very good and the food was delivered quickley. We had a very good time. The open concept is a little noisy. This is a place definately worth trying. The flavors are unique.

Fun evening with very good food

By GeorgicaPond |

This is possibly the friendliest restaurant staff in LA which makes for a lovely evening even if the food weren't as good as it is....and it is. After two visits I can say that everything I tried was very good and beautifully served. The bartender and specialty drinks are excellent. Our waitress described it as a "bourbon forward" menu, which is true, but I tried two non-bourbon drinks and they were superb. The fried chicken is excellent and not heavy or greasy. It's not the traditional Southern style recipe, but it is crisp, moist and entirely satisfying. The Mac 'N Cheese is good, although prepared with a heavier noodle than the traditional macaroni and is a recipe that is less addictively awesome than some. Deviled eggs were delicious and beautifully presented, although served a tad too cold. Asparagus with ham and figs was good too. Prices are substantial ($36 fried chicken), but portions are extremely generous so two or three people can share. It's a good atmosphere, caring staff, and the food makes one want to return often.

Fatty food

By Riscanevo |

The food is excessively fatty and not related to the price because the quantity is low and the quality is very low. The service and the place are good.

Yardbird Resturant

By acormier12 |

We ordered the lobster mac & cheese, fried chicken, collard greens and cornbread. I must say that everything was so amazing! The chicken was fried golden brown and yet still tender and juicy inside. The atmosphere was very inviting and laid back. I would definitely come here again.

Lucky us

By GrnMtnGirl79 |

We wandered in here on new years eve and decided to do cocktails and appetizers. We spent 3 hours here, never felt rushed, and felt completely welcome. We were shocked at how good the cocktails and appetizers were since this place is attached to a mall. IT's clean, its comfortable and its EXCELLENT food and drink. We wish we lived closer to another one because it would be a place we frequent. We had low expectations of a mall restaurant but these were the best cocktails we had in all of California during a 3 week trip. Thanks everyone there who made our new years eve pre party so special!

My new favorite restaurant

By BobPhibbs |

Hadn’t heard anything about this restaurant on the first level of the Beverly Center before. As I walked in I saw the fried chicken and knew I had to have it for lunch. It did not disappoint. Not greasy, perfectly cooked, moist – the works. The wedge salad was excellent and the service was very good and the ice tea was fresh. Be forewarned that lunch ran $100 for two and that didn’t include alcohol but I would gladly pay it again for such an exceptional meal.

Enjoyed Sunday Brunch with Girlfriends

By Carleita M |

What better way than to enjoy a nice leisurely Sunday Brunch with your girlfriends. This was our first visit to Yardbird and it won't be the last. Our entrees were excellent especially the crab eggs benedict. Great selection of menu items. The service was on par. The prices are reasonably. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in the Beverly Center area. After eating, you can go shopping!!

Fun southern fare

By Donna D |

A fun restaurant with southern specialties on the first floor of a shopping mall in Beverly Hills. If you park in the garage, you will need to go down to the first floor and walk outside to enter or you can valet there instead. Parking is very cheap there. Large open concept where you can watch the chefs cook. They are known for their fried chicken because they brine it a long time. The meat was tender and very flavorful but the coating lacked flavor. If they kicked it up a notch, it would have been outstanding. We got the chicken and waffles to share and added another breast, which was plenty for 3 people with a few sides. The Mac and cheese was good but not great. The waffles were very flavorful. The fries were delicious but too small a portion for the $10 price. Add some more!! The southern skillet corn was great. You can order peach cobbler during your meal since it takes about 25 minutes. Nice presentation but not as impressive as we hoped for the $25 price. Lacked a bit of something flavor-wise. Nice staff. Fun autographs outside bathroom area. They should give you cornbread or biscuits for free instead of paying for them.

Yummy chicken, fantastic service

By Fleur-de-lis |

The fried chicken at Yardbird is very good. Not the best you’ll have, but still worth a taste. They serve crispy fries and creamy mac and cheese. The Southern street corn was a nice balance between creaminess and heat. The spiced watermelon was a treat, too. The service was outstanding—the best we experienced during our week in LA. Thanks Perez! Yardbird is a fun place to people watch and celebrities often eat there. Drew Carey, host of the Price is Right tv show, was hosting a party the night we were there (it was New Years Eve). It’s a bit expensive, so be prepared.

Soul food in Beverly Center

By Tracy |

I had the spiced watermelon and chicken biscuits. Spiced watermelon was great. Biscuit wasn't bad but I was a little turned off because it had a huge chunk of dark meat in it. The biscuits itself were great and someone I was with got "Mama's Biscuits" and highly suggest that. It was rather pricey for chicken but I suppose that is LA!

Meh...good service, wanted to like it, but food was not great.

By Clair B |

The server was friendly and way way talkative, the manager was attentive and walked all over asking how it was going, but the food was pricey and not great. Biscuit was DRY, sticky bun had enough goo on the plate, but was very doughy inside, deviled eggs only okay, brisket was tender, but kind of slimy and overly sauced, and burger was just okay....For the price, we expected more!!

Upmarket eats for upmarket shopping...

By Jonathan K |

Mixing dining out at this level with shopping isn't that usual for us Brits, so Yardbird was a pleasant surprise on our recent visit to L A. There's a great buzz about the place, and service was excellent, being prompt friendly and helpful - some items on the menu needed explanation! In the end we had wine and a cocktail, then shared a salad with extra chicken and shrimp with a side of fries. Everything was again excellent, being as described and of good portion size. I paid $80 (with a tip), a bit pricey for a lunch time snack, but good value for this quality. Thoroughly recommended, and when we're back in L A we'll call in again.

Bring Your Appetite

By Trainer1 |

We went for dinner and were not disappointed. The food was very good. The hush puppies were crispy outside and pillowy inside, served with a remoulade to dip and honey butter. The order is big enough to share. The fried chicken and cheddar waffle is enough to share with a half chicken and two Belgian style cheddar waffles. We also enjoyed the shrimp and grits. There is a creative cocktail list and a well-stocked bar. I have also enjoyed the deviled eggs; three on a plate piled high with a savory filling topped with caviar. This was my second visit but not my last.

Waffles and chicken

By awj2006 |

Came for a late breakfast. We shared the waffles which was great. Our server was very good as well. The prices were a little dear but overall an excellent experience

Southern Tasty

By Tjokrosaputro |

Does Southern food always resemble fried chicken? I guess so. But I don't mind with that, after all, fried chicken is one of the most liked food everywhere in the world (exclude the vegetarians and the dietees). What's important is that Yardbird delivers a very tasty fried chicken. Everything else accompanying the chicken are well considered: the biscuits, the corn hush puppies, the watermelon, the mac & cheese, and the waffles. A nice and casual restaurant setting help the cause. Yardbird is simply an easy choice when we don't wish for a sophisticated good meal.

Good Burgers

By Juan Rodriguez |

The restaurant of super good burgers, the fries with cheese are unbelievable. A little expensive but good. Beware of the alcohol, it makes the bill go up quickly

Cesar salat is really very bad.

By Andrew |

I took Cesar salad with shrimps and it was super bad. Very dry, shrimps was over cooked (black). Chicken was ok. Service and design was nice.

Family lunch

By Casey W |

Iconic LA spot in the corner of the Beverly Hills Center. (Take some extra time to walk around this mall!) Restaurant was a bit difficult to find because the signage is not prominent but if you know where to go you can easily get to it. Parking in the center is easy or valet parking is very convenient but I am not sure of the price. Food was good. We attended on a Sunday so we only had the brunch menu. The table shared a few appetizers, cornbread and Brussels Sprout hash. I could have eaten them both on my own. Delicious! We had a whole chicken plus a half which came with cheddar cheese waffles and spiced watermelon. Served it up with hot sauce and syrup. Chicken is what they are famous for and it did not disappoint. They fry the chicken in pork fat and you can taste it! Delicious, again. My son had the lobster Mac and Cheese. He said it was “OK”. For desert we shared a peach cobbler. It was not my wife’s cobbler but it was not that bad. If you are not used to eating homemade cobblers, you may really like it. The cobbler comes with ice cream and it was very good. My son got a strawberry shortcake and gobbled it up. “Thumbs up” he said. All in all it was a good meal with good people and great service. Put this spot on your list when visiting Hollywood.

Great fried chicken

By Asem_Melebari |

Excellent restaurant. We tried the Scone with chicken, and it was perfect. The whole chicken was excellent. Ask for honey to put it with the chicken. Definitely, I will come again.

Yardbird Southern Table & Bar

By Sherpa67064389028 |

OMG the best food and service. In LA on holidays from Australia. Struggled to find something to eat to our liking until we came across this restaurant when leaving Beverly Centre. The best!!! We were served by Danielle and Roberto, they were awesome. Thank you - Anthony, Teresa, Teagan and Amy

A Great Meal

By Fearful |

My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at Yardbird. We were seated on the patio, which has a very urban feel but is comfortable. Service was excellent . One of us had the short rib. It was fall-off-the bone tender and well seasoned. The portion was very generous. The other had the chicken and waffles. The chicken was very crisp and moist and the waffle well prepared. Not the best chicken and waffles we've had, but definitely in the top 5. Only one of us had a cocktail and it was spectacular both in flavour and theatre. Do try the Gunsmoke. We'd definitely return.

Best Southern Comfort Food Ever In Beverly Hills!!

By Art-Fashion-Travel |

My first evening in LA, my friends and family decided to try Yardbird in the Beverly Center. OMG I was taken back to my youth with the cornbread, mac & cheese (with lobster, no less), and the many dishes we sampled over the course of several hours. Their specialty is fried chicken, delicious, but don’t let that stop you from trying other dishes. There were six of us and we all ordered an entree and some sides and shared. I can definitely recommend the Lobster Mac & Cheese, the fried chicken. The service was above excellent. Knowledgeable staff and a great first night dinner on my recent LA trip. Go and Enjoy. You’ll be glad you did.

Topnotch Service and Flavorful Dishes

By Cintron S |

On arrival you will be taken in by the beauty of this location. Easily accessible to anyone. The host stands are at both entrances and are more than helpful. Danielle was our waitress, and let me tell you..."SHE WAS SIMPLY AMAZING AND ATTENTIVE!" It was my first time and she made recommendations based on what I told her I like to eat and drink. I toiled between the short ribs and the chicken and waffles. Of course the chicken and waffles won. Menu: From great starters, to salads, to entrees there is a flavorful dish for everyones palates. We started with the biscuits which were delightful, fluffy, and tasty. The chicken was well seasoned, tender, and cooked golden brown. The waffles were ok, but where they lacked in flavor the chicken made up for it. Ambiance: This location is well lit and offers large screen TVs for those wanting to catch a game. Parking: Parking is available in the Beverly Center. Overall: I reccomend this location for a friends outing, business outing, or just an escape from the usual.

New, funky and chicken-y!

By Adrian L |

Visited not long after it had opened and wasn’t disappointed. After a long flight from London I was ready to eat and came here on a recommendation. Went for the fried chicken and can say that I haven’t eaten such juicy chicken for a long time. The vibe is cool and friendly. Prices aren’t the cheapest but as expected.

Amazing dinner for last night in LA

By millymaisie22 |

Amazing food and brilliant service! Last minute reservation but made to feel so welcome. Had the short rib and the St Louis ribs which were both incredible! Staff so lovely and helpful even showing us outside where to collect our Uber. Would definitely visit if we came to LA again.

Delicious Food!!!

My friend and I went here for lunch. We ordered from their "Executive Menu" and I got the Protein Bowl with kale, roasted chicken, cucumbers, apple, garbanzo beans, quinoa and avocado. It was one of THE freshest and delicious salads I've ever had!!! My friend had the fish tacos and loved them. Our waitress was Natalie and she was delightful.

Great tasty juicy chicken

By Lynette L |

The chicken was so juicy and tasty, the breast part was so good even if we prefer brown meat . The whole chicken is a good value order as we also wanted to try the waffles. We ordered the deviled eggs, hummus, shrimp, and others but only the chicken was fantastically memorable . The space had a real cool vibe too .

A taste of the south in LA

By dennis g |

Went last week for the first time. I believe this restaurant is new. The place was packed & now I could see why. While waiting for a table two gentlemen were in the bar eating. I had to ask what they had {shrimp & grits} they felt portion was small but it was excellent. We were seated in front of the kitchen which gave us the view of the menu. Our server was Christina who had suggestions on her favorites as well as house speciality's. Two of us went for it with the fried chicken for 2. A whole chicken waffles & spiced watermelon. Well worth the workout the next day to try & get even. Others had the shrimp & grits & the bbq ribs both were amazing. As soon as i lose weight I'm going back. Or I will just go back & deal with it later. Our server was

Uninvited

Walking in it feels if you are uninvited and they don't want you there, very strange experience and not a place I would recommend. The food is average as well!

Awesome Experience

By NYCrazy |

This marvelous restaurant is located in the Venetian Hotel. On our latest visit to Las Vegas we made it a point to make reservations at Yardbird. The total experience was top-notched from beginning to end. The service was impeccable. Our first course was deviled eggs and fried okra, which were so tasty. Of course we had the fried chicken, watermelon and waffles which was a delight to consume. This is southern comfort food with a sophisticated twist. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere was great too. We had a visit from the assistant general manager Mr. Selznick and he was knowledgeable about the menu, chef and even invited us to the California location which was opening soon. This is the type of service we appreciate and love.

Limited choices

Yardbird is relatively new to the neighborhood. It is located on the ground floor of the Beverly Center at the corner of 3rd St. and La Cienaga Blvd. The restaurant has a nice layout and the staff is very friendly. Although I did not have a drink, they seem to have a very nice bar menu. As far as the food, I found the menu somewhat limited with food that is way too complicated. I started with what appeared to be a beautiful artichoke but, it turned out to have melted cheese coating the heart of it. The chicken and fish dishes that were ordered at our table were equally overly complex. I think that the food needs to be toned down a bit and the menu should be expanded. I will wait a few months and give it another try

Great Food & Service

By Sherri B |

My first visit here was during a team dinner. We had a very nice private room, prompt service, unpretentious yet engagingly authentic servers. The food was tasty interesting and delicious. Of course the fried chicken is great! I didn’t do the waffle because I make great ones at home and rarely get one better so I didn’t want to waste the experience. But I did taste the fried green tomatoes, biscuits, southern street corn, watermelon, fried chicken, shrimp & grits (why did they add pork belly to a seafood dish?!) and I heard their ribs were good. The drinks were nicely mixed and not all iced out. Go! Eat & drink and take your friends! Oh and don’t forget the peach cobbler and hummingbird cake for dessert!

Over priced

By MJW |

my second evening in town and went to dinner with my daughter and her friends. The presentation and the service was great, my opinion it stops their, the food is served in a unique manner, more show and flashy.. OH!! There new appetizer Pop-Corn Shrimp hah was just that 4 cooked shrimp served on real pop-corn. Don’t waste your $$$. Macaroni and cheese was huuhh!! Fried Chicken was juicy and tender Brussels Sprouts dry, it seemed far over priced for just southern food cuisine.. The ribs are presented in a smoked fulled glass on a wooden board, tender & ok, nothing like KC ribs or North Carolina style.. Fancy & Pricey

Overpriced Chicken in a cavernous space

By Jack V |

Definitely worth a visit but just know that the fried chicken their specialty with set you back $36 plus and the whole chicken close to $80. The chicken was good but a little pricey. The asparagus with prosciutto and fig was so uninspiring. The dish came with 5 Spears of asparagus and a tiny ball of prosciutto next to them and in another part 2 cut figs cut in quarters. Basically 3 tiny dishes that ended up on the same plate but had nothing to do with each other and priced around $17. The cocktail menu was good but pricey. Their house drink specialty comes under a glass dome and smoke comes out when they take the glass cover off of it. It was a small tasty drink but it was expensive. Watching the bartender try and do the smoke with the cocktail was equally entertaining and challenging for him. The place is pretty noisy too. Reserve a table ahead of time unless you want to end up at the 20 too communal table.

New staff, same GREAT meal.

Visited in September 2021 for Sunday brunch with a friend after waiting forever for them to reopen due to the pandemic. Most of the staff was new but the food was still the same delicious. Our server was super nice and attentive and the manager came around to the tables to make sure people were satisfied with the service and food. This was and still is our go-to spot for a good traditional southern style meal.

The welcome by the staff and the food was a perfect pick me up after shopping at Beverley Central. A happy relaxed vibe with lots of enthusiasm.

Light bite

By Dave H |

We had walked quite a long way around West Hollywood and visited the Beverly centre as one of our stop offs. We hadn't got a clue what we wanted so were looking at menus all over the place. The main menu was a little expensive for what we wanted, but when we were shown the light menu, it felt right. We plumped for 2 burgers and on advice, 2 of the bowls of fries, to be honest one was enough though. The drinks were also great, a nice Pinot and an IPA, were the orders of the day. It was a nice quirky venue and a pleasant atmosphere. Just right for what we wanted.

Excellent lunch

By Chris C |

Great food and service! My friend and I popped for a quick lunch; however the food was so good we ate slowly, enjoyed the music and I finished w a coffee. The burger was fantastic!

Another good Yardbird experience

By Adam L |

We've been to the Yardbird locations in Las Vegas (best of the bunch in our opinion) and Miami, and we are almost always a fan. This was probably third out of the three, but still very good. The spiced watermelon dish had an uncharacteristic amount of cayenne relative to the other locations. Service was good. As with the other locations, portions were big enough to share. Fried chicken was very good as is typical here.

DELICIOUS!!

By Tayadrn |

A real treat, the service is really great! The dishes are really good but the portions are a little small for salmon. The salads are greedy and very generous. A real show for the Ribs. We can see that the dishes are cooked by the minute and are served very quickly. Awards are really reasonable for the setting and quality of the dishes in LA. To do with family or friends;)

Trendy place for brunch in Beverly Hills

By jarchcun |

Southern American food may not be your first thought on a Sunday morning, but it need not be heavy. The biscuits in gravy ar delicate and even light. Book well in advance as the place is very popular.

Loved this place!

By westkygirl |

I was in LA for a work conference, traveling with a girlfriend and we happened to see an ad for this restaurant in a local magazine in our hotel room. We had planned on exploring the Beverly Hills and Hollywood areas that day, so this place was in a great location! We arrived Sunday morning around 10:30 for brunch and were totally blown away! From the minute we valet parked our car and walked thru the door, we were treated wonderfully! First of all, the place is gorgeous! So inviting and welcoming! We asked to be seated outside and were so glad we did! Our server was awesome! Young beautiful woman with short black hair and a beautiful complexion :). I'm sorry I don't recall her name but she was so great to make suggestions and answer any questions we had. We started off with bloody marys. Bacon..enough said?? At her suggestion, we started off with the peach scone with raspberry jam and honey butter...OH SO GOOD! Get it!! Next, I ordered the shrimp and grits and my friend had the open face biscuits and gravy with the fried boneless chicken thigh! She said it was probably one of the best things she'd ever eaten! My dish was amazing as well!! Everyone there spoke to us, acted as if they were so glad we were there and were just overall kind and welcoming! I'll definitely eat there again if I'm ever in SoCal!

WOW -YOU TALK ABOUT CHICKEN !!!

By jimrwells |

We were walking pass Yardbird an decided to check it out. Very nice place, but their chicken, which we had with waffles and watermelon is simply the very best ever !! And their Bourbon Maple syrup is out of this world as is their Honey Hot which if you like spice is excellent on that awesome friend chicken.

Excellent food & Service

By thisgirl_Gray |

What I love about Yardbird is everything is always consistent. The service is A+, and the food delicious. I've eaten here several times since they opened in LA and they don't disappoint. Brought my cousins visiting from Ohio here on 01/22/19. We were a party of 5, did not have a reservation but was seated immediately no wait. The waiter was gracious enough to explain the menu to them because it was easier on me. They are known for the chicken, and two people ordered that with sides, and two ordered the shrimp and grits. I ordered the shredded roasted brussel sprout and ceasar salad with a side of macaroni and cheese; and we had an order of biscuits for the table. They also brought us a complimentary starter of the spiced watermelon. I don't eat watermelon so I cant comment on it, but my family liked them. My salad however, was delicious and had the perfect amount of salad dressing. My mac 'n cheese was good and cheesy. Everyone else also stated that they loved their food and were all fully satisfied with the portions. I will continue coming back here as long as the consistency continues.

The greatest service!

By Paula N |

There fried chicken is to die for. It is marinated for 30 some hours. We also had their ribs, which just fell off the bone. Our waiter was the best. If you are ever in Los Angels be sure to eat here. We were told they are also in Las Vegas.

Solid lunch, skip the lobster (great photo though)

By Christopher P |

We had the lobster macaroni and chicken & waffles. Both were tasty, only negative was the lobster was over cooked to the point of being very chewy. Regardless, we’ll be back and maybe just avoid that dish.

Date night

Best steak I have had in a very long time, and the atmosphere and people are the greatest in Hollywood

Don't waste your time or money

By Travel Truths |

So we are big fans of Yardbird Miami and frequent that location often. We were happy to discover Yardbird LA and were expecting the same atmosphere, service, and taste. We were extremely disappointed. Firstly, the restaurant itself is large, unappealing, and absolutely nothing like the charming, bustling, energetic and welcoming atmosphere of the Miami shop. It was like walking into a big mediocre low-range all you can eat sort of place. It was also freezing, the AC was blasting at full throttle and I could not remove my jacket the entire meal. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and eagerly awaited food. It was blah...okay, nothing special at all. Honestly, Kentucky Fried Chicken quality. And it was not hot. I would say it was warm at best. The price for 4 small pieces of chicken was over $40.00! There were 4 small cubes of over-ripe watermelon strewn on the plate, and the waffle was...well, it was just okay. Overall, my meal for 1 person cost over $100 ( I did have a glass of wine and 1 appetizer dish of Brussel sprouts). I felt ripped off. I would have honestly rather paid my $20 and had a full bucket of chicken from a fast food joint.

Love this place. Food is always

By Dave H |

Love this place. Food is always amazing. Competitively priced for the area. Brunch desserts seem expensive till a stack of pancakes turn up on your table that will feed one person for 2 days. Staff are all really friendly. But the barman that recognised my Yorkshire accent when I walked in. Made it so I was apart from the rest. Probably wouldn’t have liked the place as much if he hadn’t taken time to show me how things were. If I’m ever in L.A I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to this place. Top class place. Happy hour from 3-7 make it even better

Could Have Been Better

By Sara H |

I really wanted to give this place 5 stars. First is the service, our waiter Oscar (I really hope I am remembering his name correctly) had a great personality and the way he described the menu was on point. The food; the flavors of all of the dishes was good but the hubby's shrimp and grits were cold. The kiddos mac & cheese was fine, my SIL's chicken and biscuits was fine but the chicken was cold and lastly my crab Benedict didn't come out until the rest of the table was finished eating! We asked two different servers who happened to be wandering past our table, as well as our actual server to see what the hold up was and it took another 5+ mins. I was really looking forward to the bottomless mimosas but guess what, they didn't have enough prosecco so we had to order by the glass so instead of $20 for bottomless we paid $13 per glass... AND when we were recommended a different drink, the Southside Fizz, they were out of the watermelon ice cubes, it was noon on a Sunday. C'mon y'all for the prices you charge, you should be better prepared with liquor stock and serving times. We ended up spending $200 (including tip) for the 4 of us. I would like to go back but, if I'm driving an hour, and spending $200, it would be nice if I could get all parties at my table served at the same time as well as order the drinks as listed on the menu.

Sunday Brunch

By Terry S |

Arrived without reservation around 1pm, crowded with happy festive energy. Met with a smile by hostess who seated us in less than 3 minutes at the bar. Bartender waiter was warm, friendly, professional and personable. Food was just plain fantastic. We had two hors h'oeuvres: the deviled eggs which looked like children's party hats..so yummie; and the BLT type edible which was heaven per bite- a must order. Then already a bit full, we had the breakfast burrito which was light and filling, tasty and shrimp and grits which was so rich and so over the top great every bite. You have to settle for getting less than your eyes see you want, but that means we will be returning often. So so good; I must. Btw, the interior decor is so charming, so inviting, relaxing.
