The manager was unhelpful and rude. We were celebrating our grandfather’s birthday and brought his favorite cake. Despite informing them when I made the reservation they charged us an undisclosed $40 fee to cut the cake- for lunch. It was inappropriate and when I spoke with Sam he was unapologetic and rude about it

Do not let the pretentious atmosphere put you off. The dress code seems a bit off putting at a place called "Beach Haus". But, do not let that discourage you, the food at Yebo Beach Haus is exceptional. The citrus white wine sauce on the Scottish Salmon delivered the perfect balance of citrus and savory. The quinoa made a perfect complement, soaking up all the flavors on the plate.

Great dinner and service at Yebo. Katie, our lovely server was outstanding. Great selection of cocktails and wine. Mushroom Burrata and salad for starters. Burrata was wonderful. I had the snapper special which was great! Sea Salt Carmel ice cream for dessert. I will return!! Enjoyed it!!

such lovely restaurant, it like traveling to another country- incredible food and wines- the concept is well done throughout the place even the bathroom are agreeable!

First time here and we thought some of the menu items were great like the Popcorn (as good as The Local’s), Unique Caesar Salad, while some were just ok (Beef potstickers). While we had to wait 5 mins at the front for a hostess to show up (disappointing), once we sat down the service from our waitress (didn’t get her name, very tall and attractive) was excellent and attentive. We will come back.

Lets just get this out of the way: I have no idea what about this place is South African besides biltong and peri-peri sauce. (Add in oxtail, ostrich and bunny chow which I dont eat as I am vegetarian but I fail to see how this place is billed as South African meets US. If it is, I dont see it.) Getting past that and reviewing this as a normal restaurant without any supposed theme, I found the menu very limited - and ended up almost forced by process of elimination to have the safari salad. It was ok. Didnt wow me at all. The restaurant is pretty but the overall experience was rather meh. My dinner companion tried the bunny chow. Meh too. I tried really hard to like this place - but no, sorry. Just meh.

The atmosphere at Yebo was awesome, and the food matched! Our meal at one of the high top tables started with drinks and apps. My old fashioned was done to perfection. The peppadews were awesome and so were the fries with Smokey ketchup. I also had a taste of my wife’s mushroom soup that was also great. For my meal, I went with the Peri-Peri Chicken (VERY GOOD), and my wife had the Bobotie which was the best dish of all. So many good thing on this menu make it hard to choose. The wine list has several S. African wines and even one from one of the vineyards were visited on our trip to Stellenbosch.

Excellent wine list, I had 2 different and delicious South Africa red wines. The food was great, highly recommend the ostrich sliders. Very nice ambiance and service too.

I knew I remembered this house converted into a restaurant...it was the old Seeger's restaurant from years ago. Yebo Beach Haus stands on its own as a great restaurant. Very different than Seeger's, but great it its own right. I believe this is from the same folks that own Cape Dutch and 10 Degrees South -- offering South African cuisine. Our meal was perfect for a Sunday evening. We had a selection of small plates -- the sea salted nuts (amazing), red bean hummus (even better), golden beet salad, and refreshing watermelon salad. Not a bad option in the bunch. For dinner, my girlfriend had the Grain Bowl with Tuna and I had the Whole Red Snapper. The Whole fish is served pan seared with lemon / garlic inside. Very tasty, but no sides if you want something to go with it. Fortunately, I had plenty to eat with our apps. The grain salad was just as delicious. We skipped on dessert since they were out of the flourless chocolate cake...maybe next time. There will definitely be a next time!

Yebo exceeded my expectations! The atmosphere was vibrant, and the food was delicious. What really made the experience stand out was our server, PT. Without a doubt, PT was the best server I’ve had in a long time – attentive, friendly, and truly made the night memorable. I’ll definitely be back for another great evening!

With a beautiful modern ambiance and a very energetic vibe we had a lovely dinner with new friends. The buratta, calamari, caper berry chicken, scallops, halibut and berry chocolate dessert were all delicious and service was great.

Lovely outside space and fun delicious plates to share. Really enjoyed the fritto misto Unfortunately there was no mask requirement and so about half the patrons were wandering in and out with no mask. All the workers wore masks I doubt I will go back unless they change this policy.

Visited during it’s Ski Haus stint. A very intimate quaint restaurant for an evening meal. Lovely seating outside, snug blankets and glorious fire pits! A memorable place in Atlanta.

Enjoyed a nice dinner, ordered a variety of dishes: mac n cheese, bobotie, cauliflower, beets. Lovely curry flavors, bit spicy but I enjoyed.

We love this restaurant! It's very trendy inside, feels like you're in the hamptons. Food is delicious but small plates which can be annoying as stuff just comes out when it's ready. We will definitely return. Nice outdoor patio too and valet 👍🏼

I went with friends, anticipating a wonderful meal; a family member had been previously and highly recommended Yebo. I felt the small plates were quite expensive, even though they were good. However, the noise level will keep me from returning. We moved from one table ( 2 very loud customers ) to a quieter corner which turned out to be no better. I realize that a restaurant cannot control their customers, but perhaps something could be done to improve the acoustics

The staff were all amazing and friendly, and the food simply divine. Extra points for making a huge effort to make my girlfriend's birthday a special experience. Sam and Puablo behind the bar provided a premium service and encouraging a great atmosphere.

Fabulous ambiance beautiful place food wonderful and having lived in South Africa for 30 years it was great to see SA wines which are sooo good..superior to Australian wines.. cannot fault Yebo we had an amazing meal we had come from Miam Beach to escape Irma to Atlanta..if you come to Atlanta don't miss Yebo, it is one of 4 Anthony family owned restaurants here..🇿🇦🇿🇦 Whatever sauce was on the corn was just delicious!!!

Excellent service Jason was the best very attentive. Food was excellent, made a meal of just small plates tasting almost everything. Wine selection was very good excellent South African wines.

We went with friends on a Sunday evening. It was busy but we were seated on time and wait staff were friendly and efficient. We were not rushed but when we did order it came out at the right pace. The truffle fries were good. Not overpowered with truffle oil. I loved the ostrich sliders and several of my companions dishes looked very tasty. It is somewhere I would like to try again.

Try the beef jerky - only place I eat it. The mussels are amazing and I have like all the dishes my table mates tried.Service friendly and attentive. Could become a regular stop for us.

Where have I been? We live a few minutes away and I had never bothered to eat here because I thought it was just another of the many restaurants that have been in this location. Beautiful interior. Would have loved to have eaten outside but it was raining. Will definitely go back and eat on the patio. Friendly, attentive server. He recommended a great south African wine. Friend and I both had lamb chops that were delicious! I had corn fritters that were amazing. Friend had squash that she was supposed to give me a bite of but she ate it so fast I didn't get any. She said it was delicious. Flan for desert was also very good. Can't wait to go back!

As South Africans, We had a fun night at Yebo for dinner. Loved the decor . The atmosphere is great and it has a nice vibe too. Service was brilliant. I would not rave about the food however the biltong was SUPERB! It was my birthday so I wanted to have fun and we did !

Our friends had told my wife and me about this place for awhile. I'm usually the one recommending restaurants and it was a pleasure having one recommended to me for a change. Yebo Beach Haus was the place. With a South-African flair this restaurant was a treat! The look of the restaurant was very different and the food was wonderful. If you want to try something very unique, while enjoying a warm and comfortable environment, run by a competent and professional staff, then go to Yebo. From Ostrich sliders to lamb chops (one of the tastiest I've had), and rib-eye, seasoned to perfection, with a tenderness rarely experienced, you must try Yebo. You will not be sorry.

The watermelon salad wasn't great (and there are some great ones in ATL), the shrimp taco was very good. I was surprised that when the server brought me the wrong drink she argued with me that it was't wrong (it was very wrong) and it was an act of congress and a long delay to get it replaced. I will give it another try. The patio was lovely, but they should dust off the chairs.

We had a party of 4 on Friday night. We made reservations so were sat right when we walked in, but it was filling up quickly. The interior/decor is great and the place is set up in a way that feels smaller/more intimate yet actually seats quite a few. The wait staff was incredibly attentive and everything we ordered was delivered without much of a wait. We all ordered drinks and a few plates to share. Other than their 'pari pari' dishes being spicy (*disclaimer: I'm a spice wimp), the food was incredible and the atmosphere was great for our group. It wouldn't be a place to go if you wanted to have a quiet, intimate conversation, but for our crew it was perfect. I definitely recommend this place!

Visited on a Saturday night. We did not have a reservation but Ms. B at the front desk found us a table. Service was excellent, on point but not over tending. She even gave us a complimentary Pintoage glass of wine with our other wine orders. Had small plates, Lamb was good. Ostrich pasta was good. Artic char seafood was very good. Smores dessert was excellent. I guess I expected more of a ski haus look for winter, but feel like they went for just a taste of ski motif. Bar is small, but was busy. Prices are on the high side, but not out of line for buckhead. They have valet service in the rear of the restaurant. Again, nothing bad to report but I guess my expectations were high.

We went there for our friend”s birthday. She found this place online and was eager to try it as it looked really fancy. Yes, the location was nice, and yes, the interior looked nice. The food was OK, pretty normal , nothing to really remember. But the service was … average and below… we were seated , asked about drinks and such and left alone. I understand that classy restaurants give you time to get comfortable and chat for a while. But they provide drinks and appetizers … not here. Mix drinks and lemonade came in 10 min. And my wine came even later. Probably it was delivered from New Zealand as it was the country of origin. The waiters were friendly but visibly stressed. Maybe something was going on with their kitchen but it took quite some time to get your food. The restaurant might ne understaffed- the guests could enjoy the view of dirty plates and glasses on the tables for .. I dont know.. 10 min … longer… Well… would i go back? NO! Would I recommend the place? Maybe but will definitely add - to your own discretion

As a frequent visitor of the yebo restaurant that used to be at Phipps, I was excited to see what the Ski Haus (Beach Haus in the summer) had to offer. My god daughter was celebrating her 19th birthday and she asked her mother and I to take her to someplace “Swanky” before she left for Europe. Yebo fit the bill in every way! The ambiance was warm, mature and inviting - which proved to be the perfect compliment to the food, which I would describe as the same. We ate the Brussels sprouts, macaroni and cheese, risotto, Farro risotto. soup, green beans and a mixture of other foods that titillated our pallets and warmed our bellies. I highly recommend!

Loved this little spot in Buckhead here in Atlanta. Service was excellent and our server knew every detail about the menu and garnishes. I ordered the filet mignon and hubby ordered the sea bass. We had drinks as well - South African Chardonnay and margarita. The decor was decked out in South African fabrics and Elements on the wall. Free valet was onsite as well.

We enjoyed all of our small plates. Loved the ceviche, tuna poke, cauliflower, ostrich slider and Bunny Curry. Great service by Jason.

Never been to the African continent but last saturday nites experience has piqued my interest. Such pleasant and efficient service plus New and exquisite flavors: ostrich slidders to beef jerky to linguini with clam sauce. Great new So African wines too booth. Highly reccommend a visit. No vaccines or additional prophylactic meds needed. Dr C

Visited for the first time last week after reading about this newer restaurant in Atlanta magazine. Have enjoyed 10 Degree South and thought this would be interesting. It has a very clean and comfortable design but the more interesting aspect is a set of upstairs group rooms and a lower level wine cellar board room type option. This would be a fun place to enjoy with a set of friends in an atmosphere where everyone can talk while also getting some terrific food. We sampled several of the menu options. This is the first place I found in Atlanta to get biltong albeit in very thin cuts but with the flavor I recall in Durbin. They just need access to Kudu and Springbok to get it perfect. The piri piri has a nice kick and the kabobs were grilled with a nice char but tender center. Will return soon with a group of friends. Service needs a little development as our waiter was working upstairs and down. With large groups upstairs he lost track of us toward the end taking large orders. I assume this will be worked out over time.

The food is excellent and the outdoor patio is terrific for a nice dinner or late afternoon happy hour. The bar is always crowded and full of energy. There is a variety if South African foods on the menu and the drinks are great as well.

OK, I forgot to write names down and it has been a couple of weeks now. but shout out to the bartenders (maybe Sam??)!... This place is really cool in that they change from a beach house in the summer to a ski chalet in the winter with different menus... we have been meaning to try it out, so we made a reservation on open table and just walked from my girlfriends nearby place. Upon arrival the hostesses were kind and welcoming... they said they were running a bit behind, but that they would have our table ready shortly... which was no problem, so we decided to grab a drink at the bar... we checked out the menu and since the bar wasn't super crowded, we just told the hostess we would just eat at the bar to make things easy... The manager came by and apologized for the seating delay, and we told him we weren't upset at all.. but he went out of his way to buy our first round of drinks for the inconvenience... old fashioned and a twist on an Aperol spritz!... the bar staff was also talkative and friendly and helped us choose our shared plates. We tend to order things and share them so that we can try more dishes... we had the mussels, ostrich sliders, and more cocktails... all of them were very good.. the ostrich was very similar to the flavor of lamb... we will definitely be back!

Yebo Beach Haus was a great experience for my daughter and I. Our waiter was fantastic. He refilled her Coke eight times. Our food was delicious! The mussels, truffle fries and funnel cakes fries-yummy!

had a really nice meal here with some work colleagues, very relaxed friendly atmosphere, the staff were really welcoming. There's some great dishes on the menu too that you have to try Bolognese (ostrich) and the Smores Brulee are the ones to go for. Definitely skip the cheesecake - no one liked the taste or texture of the top.

Yebo is a must for all ages and palates! Patrons can sit either on the deck out front (I recommend after sunset when it's cooler), or inside where you have three options: In the main dining area, upstairs, or at the bar...all great choices. There are great bartenders and a large selection of South African (SA) wines. If you can't find the wine you're looking for and choose to bring your own, there is a reasonable corkage fee. On a first trip to the restaurant, food is best tried from the small plates, appetizer/tapas menu so that you can experiment with more for less. The must have's include: Seafood Paella, Truffle Fries, Curry Crab Claws, Lollipop Lamb, Peri Peri Prawn Tacos, and Fried Grouper Sliders.

Sat on the deck out front and it was surprisingly nice despite being adjacent to a main road. The menu was intriguing and a quirky mix of South African and Mexican cuisine. Everything we ate was delicious and the servers were great. Extensive wine and cocktail menu as well. It was on the pricey side but worth it as a treat. The valet parking is on the side street down the side of the house in front.

We really enjoyed our dinner in the basement cellar!! Can't wait to see the restaurant change over in 2 weeks from winter to summer. Definitely recommend it.

A very romantic restaurant and great atmosphere. If you go there make sure to try their mushroom soup, amazing, spinach salad, lamb empanadas, steak frites and last but not list crispy brussel sprouts. Cheers Yebo for an amazing delicious food.

Perhaps the friendliest and most welcoming staff I have experienced in a Atlanta/Buckhead restaurant. The atmosphere is fresh, relaxingly easygoing and pleasantly unassuming. As were the patrons, incidentally. I am not suggesting you walk in with your flip-flops and a pair of shorts, but, simply, to understate your ego when heading there. The food was quite impressive in its simplicity, yet exciting in flavors and presentation. Unwilted vegetables and a fish that still carries the aroma of the ocean. I was really impressed with the genuinely caring service, and I don't mean only from our waiter who was superb in his own right. Everyone seemed to be involved in making sure the clients were taken care of. They made a point of timing serving the appetizer dishes and the main entré at a pace that lends itself to the diner, instead of the waiter's or restaurant's bottom line. An overall good-natured culture surrounds Yebo of Paces Ferry. I will definitely go back, and would strongly recommend it to anyone considering go there.

Definitely upscale. Eclectic ambiance and atmosphere. Great service. Exotic menu meant for a sophisticated palette. The ostrich sliders were a delicious appetizer. The duck was moist and cooked to perfection. A simple dish like lamb and carrots was flavorfully elevated via a combination of subtle spices. Finish with Tiramasu, and you can't go wrong.

Had a wonderful evening here. Food was excellent and service Lovely This restaurant will change into Yebo Beach Haus very soon with A different menu. Will definitely return. The food is South African inspired and terrific

Stopped in Atlanta for the night and we were looking for some unique cuisine. Everything we ordered was wonderful. We stuck to mostly seafood (Mussels, Octopus, Ceviche, and the ostrich sliders). Also had the grilled pineapple salad. The mussels were also amazing but they come with a lot of really tasty broth, and not enough bread. I guess next time I go in, I'll hit a French market first and grab a few baguettes. :) Not a salad guy - but the pineapple salad was excellent. I would be a salad guy if all salads tasted like this.

Honestly the worst dining experience I have had in Atlanta since before Covid. Sat us 90 min late, drinks took over an hour after that, manager Philip was lame with zero executive presence. I will say the food was amazing so feel bad for the chefs but wow this was bottom barrel dining experience for $250/couple. Don’t go.

This is the type of restaurant that provides not just a great atmosphere but also phenomenal food! The service was also one of the best Ive had in Atlanta, they will accommodate your every need. It is also very reasonable priced for the quality of their dishes.

Nicely decorated with great deck out front for a meal outside. Food is just so so....Not great but not horrible. I took a friend here on her birthday in Sept. and the service was awful. No one ever offered us a second beverage and we really wanted one. It took over 15 minutes to fun my credit card.....We finally had to ask someone else to track down our waiter. Hope the service and food improve because the atmosphere and location are great.

Went to Yebo for my birthday celebration. Love the ski lodge décor, really cozy! the food was delicious; our party of 6 ordered a bunch of small plates so we were able to sample a good portion of the menu and everything was delicious. Will definitely be back

So...to me this was a 3 rather than a 4 or 5. Place was super cute! We stopped here for a drink and appetizer. The sangria wasn't as good as they said it was. But it was adequate... albeit expensive for something that was mediocre. It came with a really large ice cube. That was the best part I guess??? Appetizer was the frijoles hummus that came with bread and veggies. It was good but my friend didn't like some of the veggies. It was a fair statement. The problem I had with it was they brought it out to us and never bothered giving us silverware or napkins. We tried eating over the plate it came on but at some point we needed silverware. I finally asked because it was apparent they weren't going to attend to us even though no one was at the bar when we ordered or got our food. It looked like they were more concerned with getting their mixes ready for the night to bother with our small order. To me it's one thing for the food and drinks to be good but if the staff won't attend to you it barely deserves a 3 star. Just disappointing so we moved on.

The food was amazing at Yebo - we really appreciated that the meal was geared towards sharing small plates (almost tapas) style but with the South African twist! We really enjoyed the ostrich sliders, shrimp tacos, and carrots! Had never had anything like them before - will definitely be back!
Birthday Celebration Unsuccessful
I traveled to Atlanta from Florida to celebrate my birthday with some friends. We had reservations for 9:00pm arrived at 8:57pm the Hostess told us we can either sit at the bar or wait for a table to get up.. okay so we grab a drink at the bar & proceeded to wait near the door for a table. After about 10 min we tell the hostess the two of us will just sit at one of the large tables that opened in the bar area. The menu changes every 6 months so they didn't have somethings we wanted...however the Tacos are great... I was then informed a friend of ours called the restaurant to order & pay for a bottle of Champagne to surprise us -- He said he was treated very poorly on the phone, first was told they were to busy then he was told "Oh no we don't do stuff like that"...Then 2 friends join us... our server disappeared a few times to the point where someone at our table went to the bar to get us drinks--then after the nice male bartender continued to come to our table, clear the table, & bring us more drinks. For the amount of money we spent & or was trying to spend, it was not a good experience. P.s. they don't have energy drinks
