Now let me say the bacon waffles with chicken fried steak were fantastic. The coffee was better then the usual diner swill and overall the restaurant was good. The food was affordable, the food tasted great and it was a nice atmosphere. Now during this especially busy weekend the restaurant was packed. There was a wait for tables but the counter was open. Now the counter faces the kitchen which is fine, the hustle and bustle of a restaurant is fun to see. Since the restaurant has a quite a few tables and a patio the small kitchen was definitely over worked. Now the issue is the servers should communicate, "the kitchen is busy this morning, it's going to be longer wait then usual as they process orders..." Everyone would be fine. But since we were left to see figure out how busy it is on your own you can get frustrated. While it took 45 mins to get our food, it was delicious and we weren't in any particular hurry. Just be aware of the crowd when showing up to Yolk because you could be in for a wait after you order.

Not sure what was going on with the kitchen today. The food took forever to get to our table to come out. It was pretty good once it got to our table. However, everyone in our party had other meetings to attend so it was no fun to wait on our food.

On our late-morning Saturday visit, Yolk was busy. We had to wait a bit for a table, but not as long as we were told it might be. It was evident in the service that they were busy, given that our waiter never stayed at our table for longer than 30 seconds at a time. But still, it wasn't necessarily bad service, and the food was good. If you go with one of the plain menu options, it might not seem any better than any other breakfast restaurant, but they do have a number of different options that you don't see at other breakfast restaurants as well if you go for one of those.

I went here for breakfast. The service was attentive and the food was great. I had the El Torero Scrambler which was a great southwestern omelette. I had cheese grits as my side as I had never had them. I also got toast that was served with a homemade jam and when I asked for peanut butter I got that too. My wife got the Yolk All-Star combo which is a good option if you want to upgrade and try one of their sweet pancakes as you get them with 2 eggs, bacon and sausage as well. She had Nutty Monkey cakes which were pancakes with banana and chocolate chips in them and peanut butter and banana slices layered between the pancakes. I would highly recommend Yolk if there's one nearby you.

I ordered the Yolk All Star Combo for $10.50. Lots of good food and it filled me up. One warning...this place is crazy busy on the weekend (mainly because it is tasty food, but also a good location for them). So plan for the wait. The valet is complementary for Yolk patrons, so don't forget to save your receipt!!!

It was my first time there,Bad service, my food was completely cold , and the drinks the lemonade had no taste , base on my experience not going back

The plus side about this restaurant is you can make a reservation ahead of time on yelp to start your place in line. The restaurant is extremely busy, however I do not know why, as the food was barely average. My wife and I and our daughter went to the restaurant for breakfast, and we were not impressed with the food. I had the smoked salmon scrambler. It was very bland, my daughter had the chicken and waffles, and she stated that she has had better. My wife is also not impressed.

Stopped in on a Sunday morning, coming from the airport. No wait and the service was quick. Coffee was excellent. We had a new waitress, she was a bit nervous. Crepes were wonderful, as was the French toast. Good variety on the menu. When we left, there was a huge line. We arrived there around 9:30am.

Visited Yolk for Sunday brunch with my family. Place was hopping so I definitely recommend getting on the waiting list before going. Food was VERY good and reasonably priced and had great Bloody Mary's. Located in an art's plaza with a cool fountain, public ping-pong table to use while you wait, and fun artwork and trees to provide shade. ALso has a small, take out section for coffee and pastry while you wait.

Went at almost 11:00 on a Saturday and was surprised that we still had to wait, but the food was worth it. You get large portions. The staff was friendly and still on their game even though it was getting late. We both had different things and they were great. There was sooo much on the menu that sound good.

Recently had a breakfast meeting with my team. This place was located very close to our appointment. Ordered up the Protein and Eggs, and Coffee. The Coffee was hot, fresh, and strong. I enjoy quality for my coffee, and Yolk's coffee was great. 2 Eggs over Easy and English Muffin. Cooked to perfection, and the Bacon was crispy, which is how I like it. My colleague had the steel cut oatmeal and fruit. The blueberries served were huge and fresh. The oatmeal was not runny and perfect in consistency. If you are looking for a tasty breakfast with excellent service downtown, Yolk is a must try.

came twice for lunch - loved sitting outside. staff are friendly and food is nice - service is a bit slow which is my only complaint

First day after arriving I wanted to find a place that served Pancakes I found this place in the arts district. I have to say the butter milk pancakes where out of this world and staff very polite and efficient.

We had breakfast here on our last day in Dallas and I had the Monkey Nut Cakes which were incredible! The staff were super friendly even though it was crazy busy. We had to wait 20 minutes but that's to be expected on the weekend.

Recommended by hotel, breakfast was really good but if you want good coffee stay away. The coffee is horrible, service was good. I just can’t stress how bad the coffee was!

Great family restaurant, super menu. Everything you can think of and more. Loved the apple blintzes, Nutella crepes and French toast. They use real maple syrup - that's the way it should be.

One of the best breakfast spots in town. Excellent coffee. In peak hours prepare to wait a bit for a table

We ate at this restaurant almost a week ago now. I paid with my debit card and they still haven’t taken the money out! Craziness! WTH is the hold up! I’ve eaten here before and it was great, this last time not so much. I will go and I will make sure to always pay with cash at this place

Needed a breakfast place that is keto diet friendly. We were staying in Downtown Dallas and found Yolk. They have delicious 5 egg omelettes, friendly wait staff, and a bright atmosphere. I intend on going back before we leave. Nearby parking might be tough. But whatever, still a great place.

Stopped through while in town for the Sam Hunt concert for breakfast. The hostess was terrible. She was rude and completely took the experience from 4+ to a solid three. Came in with a family of four and was passed up by families of two and three that all were seated at four top tables. After 15 mins waiting and finally asking she said oh, did you guys still want to eat here…. Once you get past the hostess the rest is great. Had the red velvet French toast and eggs and protein plate. Food taste great and waitress was wonderful.

So the food was amazing but the problem was the kitchen, I was with a group of friends from work and we went because the reviews were great. One of my friends orders for an omelette came out wrong three times. The first time didn't have what she wanted at all. The second time it did but the tomatos were in there and she does not like them. The third time was whatever it had everything in it. This review would be a 5 star if the kitchen didn't mess up her order. My order was fine. I got the French toast which was yummy.

We were recommended Yolk by several friends. Really really underwhelming. Food was meh, coffee was ok, and server was efficient.

Yolk had a diverse breakfast menu and the bottomless coffee was perfect to get the day going. The service was prompt and courteous. The food was excellent. Many items to choose from but they do have a unique set of sweet French toast. I sampled the red velvet and cinnamon roll French toast. They were good and different. If you don't like sweets for breakfast than avoid these. I ordered it with the yolk all star combo so the salty protein helped to balance the we sweet portion. Worth checking out. Went during the weekday and was not too crowded.

This place is amazing. The menu has a great variety for everyone and the prices are reasonable. The kitchen is visible and clean. All the staff I encountered were pleasant and friendly. It's in a great location in Dallas. Definitely check it out!

You definitely get your money’s worth here with their portion sizes. We had the Red Velvet French Toast and pancakes, Nutella Crepes, Very Berry French Toast and the Savory Skillet. They were all very good! It isn’t inexpensive, however, you do get a lot of food!

Average Breakfast food..Waitress was a “10”! Eggs cooked correctly and chicken sausage tasty. Hashbrownd and toast average.

Ate here twice during a conference in the arts district of Dallas. Busy both times, but seated quickly. Waiter recognized on second visit. Felt welcomed and ready to eat. Bright cheery atmosphere! Menu has all possible egg and breakfast combinations. Highly recommend onion bits - like smaller chunks of onion rings. Portions are huge - too bad we could not take to go boxes for left- overs. Maybe need smaller portions for some items. A little pricey, but fresh good food. Would be a popular franchise in other cities. Would visit again.

I've gone twice within the past two weeks..i was very impressed...they have a mix of healthy as well as not so healthy..but a large selection. Service is awesome. Staff is attentive..it does get pretty busy on the weekends but they move quickly. Also like how they have complimentary valet. Will definitely continue to come to this place.

California omlet was perfect. try some of their hot sause made in house, Mmmmmm Good! we bought a bottle to take home. Strawberry OJ was a delite to the tonge. Conciererge parking available for free..

Went for a very late brunch with my 6-year old daughter because we had tickets to an early afternoon show at the AT&T Performing Arts Center. Food was good and service was pleasant. Our server told us that he was also a local actor and had performed several times in the stage performances in the Arts District…nice to know that some of the local actors can get jobs to help when they are not performing. Not expensive and it seems that this chain has a few locations in Chicago and Indiana that have similar offerings. Very good for a quick bite even though the fire alarm went off about half way through our lunch and could not be silenced for the duration of the meal….there was no fire, and no one evacuated.

Good dishes, similar to other diners, but a step up. We were there Mother’s Day, so it was very busy. It took an hour after sitting to be served, but we weren’t rushed and it was nice family time. We got lost in the shuffle of busyness.

It was Sunday. The wait was way longer than the app suggested it would be. I was ravenous by the time the food showed up. The staff struggled to help me find good options for gluten-free diet. I ended up getting loaded potato pancakes and crossing my fingers that there was no hidden gluten. I added a couple of over easy eggs on top which gave me the protein I needed. The bloody mary was the best part of my meal.

I really like omelettes, coincidentially I walked past the place coming from university. This is a fantastic place for your omelette. I would return anytime.

Went here two days in a row because it was so good. I had a 5 egg omelette, which came with fresh fruit and pancakes. The pancakes alone were a meal. This was a huge breakfast. Everything was very good, including the service. I would definitely come back here if I was ever in Dallas again. Highly recommended.

On a girls trip to Dallas, we decided on Yolk. We went on a Saturday mid-morning. We were sat immediately. Really good food. Large portions that could feed a small village. Overall, We had good service and food came really quick.

We normally have a good meal here. It had previously been BYOB so we always brought Champaign for brunch. We were informed that they now have champaign--great, we ordered two glasses. We were told they only serve Champaign in Mimosas and not undiluted by OJ. They did however serve hard liquor in the form of Bloody's and served wine (undiluted). What an in-SANE policy! Their stupidity is furthered by their lack of knowledge that champaign is wine. I told the manager who said, "thanks for your feedback". My wife went to the restroom and neither faucet worked. She told the manager who made no acknowledgment or offered another source of water to wash her hands. We made reservation in advance and when our time came up there had been several tables open for 15 minutes. They said their policy was to give earlier reservations that did not show up or were late (apparently more than 15-minutes) a chance to claim their table. In her defense the hostess realized how ridiculous that was and seated us. After the champaign fiasco we excused ourselves in protest of stupidity. Whether a local decision or corporate there's no excuse for their lack of sensibility.

Cute restaurant with REALLY good breakfast, brunch and lunch food, attentive staff and quick service.

Friendly staff , both great service and great food . Would definitely recommend if you are in the area

Sunday am eggs Benedict -- eggs way over cooked; muffins cold; service lethargic (admittedly it was early). To live up to Yolk's reputation, they need to do a lot of work. Might want to start with the "chef."

One of my neighborhood favorites! Honestly some of the best breakfast foods in the area! Chilaquiles r relish!!

3 of us, all got something different. Food was good, service was slow (had to flag down someone to get refills) a bit pricy too.

Breakfast and lunch only. Pleasantly greeted. My partner had the Breakfast Quinoa Bowl. Nice change from oatmeal. I had a five egg omelet! it just doesn't get any better than that! The cheesy grits were some of the best I've ever had. Fresh ingredients. Would definitely go back again.

It was the first time for us at Yolk, we were not impressed at all, we ordered eggs Benedict, omelets and pancakes. The food was average at best, the service was below average. I don't think I'll go there again!

Recently stayed in Downtown Dallas and there are limited choices on the weekend for breakfast besides your hotel. Found this place and what a great find. Large selection of breakfast items. Everything from eggs to pancakes to fruit. Whatever you are in the mood for it is here. The coffee was even great tasting. Definitely in the downtown area come to this place.

I've been here a few times and never been disappointed. There is something for everyone on the menu. We always go for breakfast or brunch. Nice outside patio, convenient to downtown. Always have great service.

My friend suggested this place for us for brunch on a cold morning. It definitely hit the spot. We both got eggs benedict and the loaded pancakes with all kinds of toppings on them. It was delicious, but then again everything looked great! I definitely want to return here.

This was a first visit for us to Yolk and it proved to be very good! The wait in line on a cold day was not too terribly long, and once seated, the visit went very well. Food was excellent and just as ordered. No problems with any part of our meal. Wait staff was attentive but not pushy. I can recommend an omelet but wished the meat and veggies were spread out across the inlet and not just lumped in the center. Taste was excellent. Overall a good visit for our first time.

Delicious brunch, probably one of the best in Dallas! A little pricey but worth it! We had the cinnamon roll French toast and the South of the Border eggs Benedict! YUM!

Enjoyed breakfast here with friends. The south beach (fruit and yogurt) was very good. Service was good

My friend and I visited Yolk for Sunday brunch and were seated immediately. The service was fast and the food was good. Overall, would recommend for brunch with options.

I first went to Yolk in Chicago actually on a family vacation and loved it. It is so bright and open, and everyone is always moving- a great atmosphere! The Dallas one is just the same. My favorite thing is the eggs benedict (10/10 ;) ), but if you're not an egg person, they have soooo much other stuff. My dad loves the French toast! Not only is the food great, but whenever I go here, I always feel like I get closer to whomever I am with.

This is a friendly place in the Dallas arts district which offers an excellent array of brunch items: generous omelettes, pancakes, smoked salmon and bagel, blintzes. Reasonably priced, perfect for a pre-museum brunch.

Read the reviews on here and so many raved about Yolk so we visited. We were both less then impressed. We had a 30 minute wait to be seated so we ordered drinks from the coffee bar. Both drinks were subpar. The menu has a variety of items allowing everyone to find something they would like. I had the corn beef hash, it lacked flavor and the potatoes were undercooked. My partner had the chicken and waffles. The waffle was good but lacked any sort of bacon taste, never would have guessed it had bacon in it. As a side we had a biscuit and gravy. The biscuit was dry and the gravy resembled something that came from a can. Our waitress must have been overworked since we never saw her but when she stopped and asked how things were she left before we could even respond. The place isn't worth the wait.

I will say my favorite part of the meal was the vanilla latte, the bacon waffles were just waffles the bacon didn’t set the waffle apart I didn’t even taste the bacon to be honest. The chicken was basic nothing wrong I just was expecting much more flavor. My sister did have the velvet French toast and she was loved them. They do validate parking

Very busy brunch place that does not take reservations. Standard waiting time is apparently 30-45 minutes. Extensive menu with large portions at a reasonable price. Not fine dining, but food of good quality. Would return.

This place is super fun with a cool vibe and great people watching. The food was delicious. The portions were very large so definitely think about sharing.

Thankfully this place was open. It was the weekend, but this place was killing it for business since it was the chocolate run. Had the chicken and waffles. It was recommended. Vast menu. Lots of things to try. Our service was good.

Based on their awesome-sounding menu, we went to Yolk for a Sunday brunch, but decided not to wait 45 minutes to be seated. We tried again on Mother's Day, but this time using the NoWait App, which worked like a charm to get us in within five minutes of the estimated time. I'm not quite sure why there were so many people waiting to be seated when there were clearly some empty tables. (not enough staff?) There were also places open at the bar. Our server was fine. It was the food that was the problem. Actually, we were pleasantly surprised that our food came out in just 5-6 minutes. Maybe if they had taken a little more time in the kitchen, it would have been better. My husband is a big biscuits-and-gravy fan, but he kept adding more salt and pepper to the gravy to see if he could coax out some flavor. The same with the side of cheese grits. My open-faced tuna melt had been run under the broiler just enough to melt the cheese on top and darken the edges of the bread underneath. All of it, including the tuna, was cold. I should say that, at another table, I did see some really great looking pancakes - but we're not pancake eaters.

I came in to place a carry out order everything was fine ordered a skillet that comes with a mc muffin. Order didn't take long food smelled good and was hot. I live five mins away I got home checked my order (I know should have checked before I left) but I didn't food was incorrect I do not eat pork and there was bacon in my food and my mc muffin was missing. I call the restaurant and they say come back and they'll replace order. Ok fine I get back in my car to get my order corrected. I get to restaurant Robert see me enter with my food in my hand says what's problem I say my food was incorrect cashier explained that he put in another order. Robert goes to get my food I follow to let him know I was also missing my bread. Robert hands me my food I check again no bread I explain my bread was missing from the first time as well . Robert goes to get my bread as I'm sitting there not once did this General Manager apologize for my inconvenience or suggest that any for my inconvenience. Once he came back I said so what are you willing to do I had to come back to your restaurant and my bread was missing not once but twice . Robert's replied are you sure that bread was not in there 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️. Appalled that he was suggest I lied about a piece of bread . I told Robert to politely refund my card and I walked out. DO NOT GO THERE... I will be contacting the CEO Taki Kastanis. taki@eatyolk.com

Tons of choices on the menu including dairy free options! The crepes and chicken and waffles were delish!

Seated right away early Sunday morning. Biscuits and gravy with grits were very yummy. Cinnamon roll French toast was awesome!

Sunday morning. 10am. Line out the door. I used the "Nowait Guest" App to get on the list from our hotel, saving us 30 minutes in the waiting room. Food was incredible. We had the smoked salmon, which I put on Eggs Benedict. Service was shockingly fast for how busy it was, and very courteous. Go now. Everybody else is. Highly recommended.

Breakfasts here are outstanding, although a pice over-priced. Good coffee and adequate service. Worth splurging once in a while.

Was trying to find a place to eat breakfast that wasn't in our hotel and some other guests in the hotel told us about Yolk. It was several blocks from where we were staying, but it was worth the trek! Food was great and reasonably priced and the service was awesome!!

We went here to try another breakfast/brunch spot, the place was packed, but the wait wasn't that long. The setup is nicely laid out, with a trendy styled atmosphere. The first issue we had was with our waitress, the service was slow & there were long periods before she would check on us. There were customers that were seated after us, but had water, utensils & even some ordered food before us, but they had different wait staff. We finally ordered, then after 20 minutes, we were told that one of the items was not available. We then ordered something else,so after waiting another 15 minutes, ALL the food came out cold !!! The manager (I think) came by to apologize both times & insisted it wasn't our fault....lol..I know it wasn't our fault, we didn't cook the food....lol....We were offered a free dessert, for our troubles, but I didn't feel that was enough. So we declined, payed our bill, then left. I want to give them another try, but not sure just yet. The food had a good test, but warm food is better than cold food, anyday of the week...lol

I love the ironman omelette! It's healthy and really yummy. The portions are very generous so you could order two meals and it would be more than enough for 3 people. Staff is always friendly and attentive. It gets a bit crowded and sometimes it feels a bit squeezed depending on where you sit, but overall, this is one of the best places for healthy brunch in Dallas.

Three of us had breakfast here. Cool looking building both inside and out. Staff were friendly and efficient. Menu choice was pretty large with something for everyone...and some really nice options. Food came quickly, and everyone enjoyed their meals and had left overs because of generous quantities. Recommended, and we're going back tomorrow!

This restaurant was amazing and is definitely a must go to if in Dallas. The menu was full of delicious choices. The atmosphere was bright and upbeat and there was a steady flow of customers. They bring you a large carafe full of water and you can buy specialty coffee while you wait for a table. We had a 15-20 minute wait on a Sunday morning. The server was just out of training and was really friendly. The only drawback was our food was slow to come out but all the other goods FAR outweighed the bad. Parking was even convenient. You don't want to miss this place!

Very nice spot for lunch/brunch. We decided on Yolk for a brunch with our niece and as usual we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Word to the wise: this is a very popular spot and you are certain to enjoy your dining experience. However, with popularity comes a long wait for a table so I suggest using the "NoWait" app to cut down some of your wait time. Even with the app, you will still have to wait a bit but just not as long. Food here is great and they have many delectable and unique choices. So take a chance and dine on your own ultimate omelet, the cinnamon roll french toast, yummy waffles of different choices and delicious crepes that melt in your mouth!! Once you've enjoyed the dining experience, take a walk throughout the Arts District and enjoy the museums and park.

Can't wait to come back. You must try the Strawberry OJ! The Cinnamon Roll French Toast was amazing. Eggs were cooked well and the bacon was crispy. My husband enjoyed his biscuits and gravy. Service was great.

This place has literally never failed me!!! Food is always hot, cooked to order and amazing! I had the cinnamon roll French toast eggs and turkey sausage this day and it was perfect! And it's byob! Unbeatable.

I tend to brunch with groups of folks. Some places cant handle groups at brunch but Yolks has been EXCELLENT on numerous occasions. Service, food, staff and SEPARATE CHECKS!!! I cant wait to try the Ft Worth location as well. This is a true gem!

We enjoyed our group brunch here. Excellent service, very friendly staff. Our plates were piled with delicious food.

While I was in Dallas for the National Speech and Debate Association tournament, my son and I hopped on electric scooters and made our way from our hotel to Yolk. And I am so glad we did! Yolk is located in a nice business plaza, and the lovely water fountain is a welcome, cooling sight in the hot Texas sun. The restaurant is clean and bright, and we were seated quickly by a friendly host. What set Yolk apart from most breakfast/brunch joints, however, was their pancakes. They had a selection of several different types of griddle cakes, and I chose the seasonal specialty, Lemon + Blueberry. My son chose their regular Buttermilk Pancakes. Wow!!! These pancakes were not your plain, doughy, bland type of pancakes! They were cooked to golden Pancake Perfection, just a tiny bit crispy around the edges and on top, but so soft and fluffy inside. They were airy and springy, and when the sweet syrup oozed all over the top, the hot cake kept its airy texture instead of collapsing into a soggy wad of sad toilet paper (as lesser quality pancakes often do)! In addition, my Lemon topping used real lemon zest and blueberries that was just a little tart, which was perfect because it kept things from getting overly sweet. I would highly recommend Yolk for their fantastic pancakes, friendly service, and bright and clean restaurant!

We were told to try this place by a friend of my wife and she was spot on. This restaurant is the first entry into Dallas-based out of Chicago. They also opened in Ft. Worth and will be opening in Preston Center. I know this because Jodi Sanchez the manager took the time to chat with us. She is a 20 year veteran in the food industry and it shows. There is no substitute for success better than interacting with your customers to build repeat customers. She gets an A+ from us. Now for the restaurant. Bright colors are uplifting -Blue white and yellow. Noise factor is better than average. The menu is extensive and our waitress was very helpful and well informed about the menu. We had the same dish- The combo- 2 eggs made perfect to order. Smoked bacon. It tasted like bacon-very little fat , on the thick side and meaty. Sausage done well and not a sharp aftertaste. These items are standard. Than your choice of crops, french toast or pancakes. We opted for the french toast-no skimping on the egg wash in the bread. Coffee was fresh, hot and delicious. If they are consistent ( I don't doubt it) they will be a winner in their expansion. We live in North Dallas and the trip down was well worth the drive.

Yolk was amazing...large portions, beautiful layout, and the service..outstanding!!! Even with a full house,we were seated at the bar and felt we had the best seats in the house.Watching them move around in the kitchen and seeing all the food being made was a real treat. The red velvet French toast was amazing and the strawberry orange juice is a favorite!!!

We stayed at Hotel ZaZa for a Friday night get-away and walked to Yolk on Saturday morning. It was a nice and safe walk with no wait when we arrived - though there was a wait by the time we left. The menu was huge, as were the portions! Service was spot-on and they expedited the order for our little ones. The smoked salmon scramble was SO GOOD! We ordered an everything bagel with cream cheese along with it - they should consider just offering this as a side with it...so good to make a sandwich with! We will definitely be back if in the area - great breakfast joint!

Salmon with capers omelet, original and delicious. Worth the wait. Good coffee. Great service. A little loud if you have a hangover first thing in the morning, but still a great breakfast.

Arrived with a party of 3 around 10 AM on a Sunday and had a wait time of about 20 minutes. Plenty of fun family things to do with the kids right outside the restaurants (ex: ping pong table, cornhole toss etc) The avocado toast I had for breakfast was a perfect blend of flavors without being too overly filling. The coffee was delicious and so was my desert..a Monkey Cake. For an add on price they serve you one pancake in case you want to indulge without overindulging. Looking forward to this restaurant opening soon in Florida locations near me.

Good place we stumbled upon this weekend 3 kids who are picky eaters All loved it Sausage I have to say was amazing and I am not a big fan of sausage at all All the food looked good I liked the coffee and appreciated the flavored creamers lol Little Things make me happy Will go back again Great place kids and families

I had the Hey Ricky! omelet and it was well prepared with good seasoning although I wouldn't call it spicy. So if you're afraid it might be too hot, it isn't. I can recommend to take the fruit instead of the potatoes as the fruit was remarkably fresh and very tasty in combination with the omelet. Portions seem small compared to what I'm usually offered in the US but to be honest I find the majority of US portions ridiculously large and we all should consume just a little less. Good quality coffee, friendly people and very reasonable prices. Can't go wrong here.

There is something for everyone on the breakfast menu at this One Arts Plaza location. Great service, e.g., water and coffee appeared very quickly. Bright colors in the spacious room make this a very inviting place. For those of you used to the long wait times to get in the Chicago locations, there is no waiting here.

Yolk is high energy, we waited for a little while and were seated at the counter. I enjoyed watching the food being prepared in such a busy place. We ordered, our food took a while, but it was love at first bite. It was worth the wait.

This a wonderful breakfast/brunch spot hides just on the edge of downtown Dallas. Located just inside of I-75-Central Expressway at the south eastern edge of downtown just off of Ross St where Routh St begins, it is very easy to find, even easier to park. Parking is complimentary with a validated parking ticket from the Yolk. Remember, complimentary on behalf of Yolk, not the valet so please, do be gracious & remember to tip the valet a little something. My car is ready & waiting with the text system used. The valets handle my car with the upmost care, are so accomadating & polite. The dining area of Yolk faces Routh, the entrance sits off a plaza of a tall office building with a lovely, artistic, geometric design water fountain in the center. The folks at Yolk are genuinely glad you are there, you know this the minute you walk in. The manager takes interest in assuring your visit is or was a great one. I have never been disappointed, yet am confident in saying, any possible complaint would be rectified on the spot. The reastaunt is always bustling & busy only never do you feel rushed or crowded in the oversized booths & generous space between the tables. I eat breakfast here often and never once have been dispointed with quality of food or service. Employee pride & teamwork are seen in results here. Without knowing she was watched, I witnessed a server stop & pick up a gum wrapper off the floor that obviously, had been dropped by a patron. She discarded it then quickly went to wash her hands before serving again. Giving reason to why the restaurant is always so crisp & clean. The ceiling to floor windows give sparkle to the city, the simple lines, warm colors of the exterior & interior offer a fresh, open simple, casual, warm urban feel. There is an patio area & overall the restaurant is a very casual & relaxed place to enjoy breakfast solo or with family & friends. You feel they are awaiting your visit already, and almost pouring your coffee before you walk in. I understand this to be a chain only from the quality of food, along with the efficiency, exuberance & sense of pride in all employees, you might believe you are in Happy,Texas not Dallas, Texas!! Welcome Yolk and thanks for 'getting here as fast as you could' as now Texas can claim you to be one of their own with your great food, friendly staff, Texas Pride and Big D portions.

Yolk is a must stop for any breakfast lover! We couldn’t decide what to order because it all sounded delicious! Definitely would recommend the eggs Benedict and very berry French toast with homemade Greek yogurt on top! Both were delicious. We parked in a lot next to it for $6 for the day.. Not sure if there was anything better.

Kitchen is mismanaged. Food consistently comes out cold. 4th time in a row at the Dallas location. Don't bother asking for crisp bacon. It's already sitting in a pan cooked. It's more like ham than bacon. Not like the pictures on the website. Biscuit is awful and always cold. Today was the final. No more. Portions are large for people that are into quantity and not quality. Too many other good breakfast restaurants in Dallas. Try The Thompson, John's Cafe or Oddfellow's in Bishop Arts. This yoke was like Big Lots.

The pancakes by far are the most delicious thing on the menu. Big, fluffy, buckwheat pancakes....and REAL maple syrup. Do yourself a favor and pour some of their homemade hot sauce on your eggs. Delicious.

My son had steak and eggs and said the steak was amazing, the French toast has a lot Of varieties and choices, good service and a very big menu overall. Oh and the coffee is good, we like good strong coffee !!

The eggs and French Toast combo was really good combined with the great service. Slightly more expensive but worth it every once in a while.

Varied menu, I tried the Green Eggs and Ham scramble. Very savory eggs with pesto a chunks of ham. Combo included choices, I took pancakes and cheese grits. Pancakes were excellent too! Great service, tables booths and counter service. Highly recommended!

We expected to find a menu limited to brunch and breakfast items because of the name, but we were pleasantly surprised to a find a full luncheon menu and varied hot dishes. One of our party enjoyed the steak, others salads, and I enjoyed a veggie burger. Wait staff was accommodating. Place was full due to performances at the Arts Cener

We've been to Yolk in Chicago and Indianapolis and based on our experiences there, we talked Yolk Dallas up big-time to friends. After waiting 45 minutes to be seated, it took another 30 minutes for our food. My omelette was missing an ingredient. Another at our table had to wait 5 more minutes for a sub-par Hollandaise sauce. Grits were cold. Crepe was cold. Toast was soggy. Wait staff had to be reminded multiple times of requests for half-and-half and coffee. What a disappointment!! We ended up apologizing to our friends about our recommendation. Sure they were busy, but it is Saturday morning in Dallas - it shouldn't have been a surprise. Yolk should be prepared to handle rushes.

Food was great. Very Berry French Toast and Eggs Benedict. Parking is a hassle in that area but they have complimentary valet or they validate the parking garage ticket nearby.

Never knew so many dishes with egg as th main ingredient could make this such a popular place !! Their coffee too was good ! It starts with breakfast and goe on all day ! Good food, fast service and good portions too!! Stuffed ourselves !,

We had been to the Yolk on Michigan Ave so we were excited to see one close to our hotel in Dallas. The time was right after the lunch rush I guess, because the staff seemed worn out. Our server wasn't that friendly and we had to request more water a couple times. The food was good but if the environment isn't warm and welcoming, it can make the meal less impressive. I was underwhelmed with this experience.

This place has a great atmosphere friendly staff and the food was great unfortunately my wife and I are watching our carbs. We both had omelettes and they were amazing and huge but the waffles And pancakes we saw diners around us enjoying were a bit of a distraction lol and looked really amazing. I would definitely go back to the Yolk!

I had a giant plate of potato pancakes topped with bacon, sour cream, and green onions. It was delicious, and there was so much of it I almost couldn't finish. (But I did!) Service was good, and their coffee was really good and refilled often. It's a great place for brunch or any meal, really.

This place is absolutely amazing whether you want breakfast, brunch or lunch. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are a nice size. There were some vegetarian and a few gluten-free options as well! I had the Nutella filled crêpes and they were delicious! Also, with the crêpes and French toast, you can get the snack portions which are only $5 (pictured). Perfect for a quick bite or if you want to just try them without buying the whole meal. Can’t wait to visit again!

Amazing breakfast spot right near downtown Dallas!! We both ordered an egg white omelette with turkey sausage. Also had an English muffin, coffee and juice. There isn't anything I don't like here. The service was great, the food was great and even the people at the counter were very nice!! If you want good breakfast in Dallas check them out!!

This place was horrible! Coffee was gross. The half and half that came in the little single serve cups was ruined! Our waiter said they knew lots were bad! Why they were still on the table was beyond us! The ham on the eggs benedict tasted like it came out of a can. Way overpriced for quality. Needless to say out plates had over half the food left on them.. Fast food breakfast is better than this place. Avoid at all cost!!

This is a hip little place. Very bright & welcoming. You can valet park & the Yolk cashier will compliment it for you. The eggs of course are wonderfully made to order. Also the French toast is divine.

I'm traveling constantly and rarely have time for a good hearty breakfast. When I get a layover that includes time for breakfast, I intend to enjoy it fully, and I ask everyone what's good, and while I usually am given several options, I am never disappointed. Here in Dallas, literally everyone I spoke to recommended Yolk, and after my brunch, I know why! I had steak and eggs, which was perfectly cooked and so filling, but that didn't stop me from lusting over the many eggs Benedict dishes I saw my neighboring diners dive into. Great location, friendly service, valet parking, and the line moves quickly!

Excellent breakfast, although a but pricey. Great service. Coffee is really good. Expect to wait during prime time.

My husband and I came with another couple around 10:00 on a Sunday. We all really enjoyed the food. My best friend ordered an iced mocha and said it was incredible. Her boyfriend ordered the chicken and waffles and loved it. My husband ordered a skillet. It came with 2 HUGE pancakes. It would have been plenty of food for two people to share. I ordered the cinnamon roll French toast.....very good. Overall, we were happy with the experience :)

Wow. Just Amazing. The atmosphere, the staff, the food, the prices - nothing bad to say about any of it! If you aren't a big meat eater and don't like sweets in the morning, West Coast Crepes are the way to go! If you do like sweets, cinnamon roll French toasts are a MUST! You wouldn't expect food this good to be a decent price but it was very reasonable. HIGHLY recommend!

Lovely place for breakfast with loads of choices on the menu - they are great with changing meals for dietary purposes. Also don’t feel overwhelmed with the pancakes and potatoes (as a Brit this was crazy to me!) they can be changed for fruit. Lovely place lovely staff and great food

My daughter and I ate here for a special brunch out and mostly liked it but there were some issues that left me feeling less than impressed. We arrived at about 10a and there were only a few tables. The server gave me coffee that was very sour, like spoiled milk. We ordered two breakfast plates, the farm house and el torero scrambler, and a single crepe. My biscuits were light and flaky, but my eggs were undercooked and the gravy was bland. (Why ask how you want it cooked it they aren’t going to cook it to order? I make fabulous scratch sausage gravy so this was disappointing.) My daughter enjoyed her dish and she was able to get gluten free toast. The Nutella crepe made this worth the trip for me. Overall, it was way too expensive for the quality of food - $40+tip for two people. Lastly, the manager offered to check me out and then impatiently tried to grab my ticket as I held it and read the charges. Then he passed me off to the cashier and abruptly answered the phone and checked out another customer... odd. Even still, worth trying out.

Great way to start your day - we had Sunday breakfast here while staying in downtown Dallas. Great choices of eggs, omelets, pancakes, etc. great portions and excellent service. So many options, you will find something you love.

I was struggling to find a breakfast location close enough to my apartment that was open at an early enough hour until I found Yolk. I went there first out of necessity, but I have gone back several times because of how good the food is. Parking is the only thing that really could use some attention, but that is usually the problem with anywhere in a downtown area.

We ate her both mornings while we were in Dallas. The prices are high but the food was great! Worth the price. The first day I had multigrain blue berry pancakes topped with bananas and honey, scrambled eggs, fruit, and bacon. I would definitely go back!

Very clean, great service, good selection of food. Freshly squeezed juices, good coffee, very cool atmosphere. Diner type of feel with a spin.

The food here was excellent. Food for everyone. (very healthy menu) if you're trying to watch the calories. I highly recommend this spot.

We ate here based on reviews we read. The Yelp waitlist option was nice but somewhat inaccurate as we waited 25% longer than its longest estimate. You do get a lot of food for the money, I would suggest sharing plates. They got our omelette order wrong and I had to ask for silverware and napkins twice. We had the home made yogurt and berries, and this was the best thing we ate, good amount of berries and well prepared. Pancakes were pretty good but a little heavy (buttermilk maybe?). We tried the cinnamon roll, but I make way better. The cheese grits were too watery. The omelette, after being remade was pretty good, but they use too much oil in its preparation and it comes out heavy. I can see it’s very popular, but don’t think it’s a great place, merely a good one

Very good place for breakfast/ brunch. Seems like it's a pretty popular place as were waited a bit to eat... but you know... social distancing in play here. Outdoor and indoor seating available. Had a brunch cocktail, strawberry screwdriver, very light and delicious. Pancakes were more sweet like cake than traditional butter, nutty flavor. 5 egg loaded omelet covered with avocado, impressive. Did not skimp on vegetables. A great breakfast, brunch "appetizer" is the homemade Greek yogurt fruit and granola parfait. Satisfying. Baby kale salad. Superb. Berries, goat cheese, grilled chicken. Great proportion. Excellent berry vinaigrette. Wonderfully friendly manager, bussing tables and serving customers. In the mix, getting it done. Would definitely eat here again.

not the cheapest place to have breakfast, but the amount of food you get makes it all worthwhile---the place is pretty busy so be patient

The food is Excellent, I have tried many different items and they are all fantastic! Our waiter, Marty, was SUPER- everything came out perfect!

Great choices on the menu with a friendly staff. The omelette was excellent and you will not leave hungry. I look forward to a return visit

I really liked the ambience! We had a party of 7, food was ok and not very hot and slow to get to the table. There's a constant flow of people in and out. So if you are looking for quiet (not gonna happen). Constant flow of people so be ready to deal with lines to get in and when paying the cashier. Presentation of food was nice and a large quantity. Food was good enough that I'll give it another chance with a less rowdy group of people.

My friend and I went to Yolk on a rainy Saturday morning in downtown Dallas. The restaurant has free valet parking (you can simple tip amount you deem appropriate) and a paring lot close by. The restaurant is a lovely restaurant with cheery yellow and blue colors. Lots of natural light is another bonus. The menu has loads of delicious selections to choose from. I had the crepes filed with avacadoes, eggs, cheese and mushrooms and a side of cheesy grits. Oh my! The food was so good. I also tried the strawberry orange juice and coffee. Portions are large and I took half my meal home for the next day. It was equally delicious the servings day. Service was prompt even though the restaurant was packed. Waiter was attentive and nice. What a perfect breakfast spot!

I had The Works omelette before my meeting. Undoubtedly one of the three best I have had. Lovely location near the arts district. Great service. Definitely 5 stars!

If you're in downtown Dallas, stop by One Arts Plaza and grab breakfast or lunch at Yolk. Staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about the food. My favorite is their Yolk Berry Bliss, but ask for the honey on the side as they are generous with the sweet stuff. Chili is also a favorite. Nice outdoor seating area as well.

I started eating at Yolks when visiting Chicago years ago - they are truly my favorite place in the Windy City! Imagine my delight when I discovered they are now in DFW - woohoo! So I drove my parents over an hour for brunch one Sunday to take them to my favorite place AND....the food was average at best and disappointing to me as a Yolk-lover. Parking here is fabulous (free valet), interior is clean and spacious. The burger my step-dad had was very good (he said) but the grillled cheese (goat, cheddar, bacon, tomatoes - should be an AMAZING combination) that sounded so good came out barely grilled with cheese un-melted on greasy bread. And my beloved tuna melt that I have had at least a dozen times - came out cold with cheddar cheese sprinkled on top and definitely not melted. Disappointing. Service was good but too busy to bother sending food back. When I go back (and I will), I guess I'll give their breakfast foods a chance; hopefully my favorite berry/granola pancakes will be up to par.

Yummy food! Large portions and it tasted great!! We sat at the bar and was able to watch staff. They seemed like a great group who worked together well. Must a managed well. Highly recommended!

Portions were huge and the food was delicious! Loved the gravy. The Nutella Crepe alone was worth the trip but all 3 plates were great. Our waiter did disappear for a bit even though they weren’t really busy but it was okay.

Couple of the workers was rude, my waitress didn’t know about the difference wines, and the food was over cooked and some was under cooked. My orders was wrong and I had a dirty plate I sent it back and someone wiped the side off and send it back. We watched a employee spit on dirty dishes as he clean a table. All in all it came out ok because it wasn’t about the food it was seeing the smile on my family face.

Amazing food! Stopped for breakfast on the way out of town. Loved everything we got and service was fantastic!

We decided to try Yolk during our Dallas visit as we love brunch and although the wait was considerable, we did - we thought it’s usually a great sign. We found it very odd that customers were sat down at dirty tables several times. The food was average and a bit disappointing to be honest. Ingredients and presentation are both very basic and not particularly interesting. I would not recommend if you are looking for an especially tasty or special meal unfortunately. It was extremely busy so they seem to be doing very well. We will be trying other options in the area. Our server was very friendly.

Shout out to waitress Geneva. I'm sure all staff are trained to make a connection with the patrons, but she was especially great! As crazy busy as the place was, management also made an effort to go around and check on customers. El Torero Scrambler...a must try! Go for grits and English muffin. Good coffee. Fantastic service. Love this place! Went back the next morning. Will be back on return visits to Dallas. Easy walk from Hilton Park Cities.

I had high hopes for Yolk, but it was worse than mediocre. The menu looks great; lots of options for any dietary preference. The execution was poor. My scramble was lacking flavor and it required plenty of salsa to be made palatable. Two of us received burned pancakes. The cook had turned the burned side to the plates and placed the second pancake on top - really shady. (See picture.) The server was nice but didn’t seem to know much about the menu or waiting tables. I won’t be back.

Service was friendly, but we waited an hour and a half for a mediocre bagel sandwich and greasy biscuits. McDonald's is honestly better.

Great downtown restaurant. Casual environment. Open for breakfast and brunch. Large and interesting menu. Take out available. Be prepared to wait for a table on weekends.

Visiting on a day trip - stopped by for breakfast w/ a colleague after reading reviews on TA - also recommended by the concierge at the hotel. Good breakfast options and they are very happy to customize a dish - had eggs Benedict but customized to add salmon instead of bacon - came out excellent - my colleague had the corned beef hash and had a fulfilling experience - strawberry orange juice was fresh and refreshing.

Have been to multiple Yolks and these are reasonable breakfast and lunch eateries. You can get everything from regular eggs to Steak and there is always something for everyone. Definitely suggest a visit.

Decided to try something different this am during my business trip so I found Yolk on TA and headed out. Well worth the 12 min walk. Casual place in an office building plaza retail area. Had the Big Fat Greek Omelet; of course. Really nice portion, good food, good service and nice atmosphere. Really Good meal and I would return.

They say you can tell how good a place is by how busy it is. In Yolk's case this holds true. On a usual weekend morning there are people waiting outside to get a table and I completely understand why! Yolk has a great menu with something for everyone. The service staff must have been busy but it didn't show. They were attentive and proactive with refills. I'd highly recommend Yolk for a breakfast or brunch.

GO HERE! This is the best breakfast restaurant I have ever been to - I would definitely recommend the Chorizo Scrambler - for $11, it really is great value. Again, GO HERE!

This was breakfast 3 days in a roll, after the first time it just got better. Food was hot and delicious, crisp bacon and my omelet was fantastic. This is a place to try. It has free valet parking, where they pull right up to the door. Just a great place all around.

So we went to this one today because we were staying overnight downtown and having been to the Fort Worth Yolk a several weeks ago, we were looking forward to a similar experience. Sadly, it did not meet our expectations. The Corned Beef Hash and eggs was good (although it could have benefited from more potatoes), but my wife's Grilled Salmon Salad was not. The salmon wasn't cooked "well done" as she asked AND it took quite awhile to get it cooked again to the point where we just gave up and cancelled the order. The manager was very helpful and discounted our meal though so that was good. The restaurant seemed like a good size but it was very warm, very busy, and I suspect it was understaffed. I feel like our waitress had too many tables under the circumstances, and perhaps the kitchen was struggling as well. As I said, the manager on duty responded well to our issue, I just wish it would have went better from the start.

Mom, daughter and I visited today. No wait but it was a Monday around 12. Waitress Kimberly was nice....but wasn't the best I've had since moving to Dallas. Food was a tad expensive. My biggest problem was the size the mimosas. Just not use to seeing them in more like a kiddie size cup. Overall, Yolk was ok. I'd go back but I'm not ordering a mimosa. I'd like to try their French toast. If I had to give it a grade.....I'd say a "B."

Love the Iron Man omelette, the best thing to have after my Tri-training. Protein bursting (whites only), with good fats (avocado) and super yummy. The food is not the cheapest, but if you are 2, you can share since the portions are so big. The omelette is a 5 egg with goodies on the side so sharing it with an extra side of toast or some bacon (yum), and you get a really nice cheap breakfast. Coffee is decent, but not for the coffee connoisseur. Staff is very friendly and the interior deco is very bright and good for both couples and big groups of people.

We visited Yolk for the first time a few months ago. The food and service are so great we now make the 25 mile drive every Saturday morning! It is well worth the drive for exceptional quality breakfast. The Yolk All-Star Combo and Breakfast Wrap are our favorites. I highly recommend Yolk!!

Hard to believe if there’s a better tasting breakfast spot around. Contemporary breakfast joint. Traditional breakfast foods with a Yolk touch makes for a terrific breakfast destination. The wait is a bit long so come early or before you get hungry, but worth the wait. You can make a in person reservation and receive a text message when your table is ready for you if you want to run some local errands.

Wide selection on menu and high-quality food. The service was very friendly. There was an error made in bring what I ordered, but the waitress recognized it and made it right.

I've been to Yolk in Dallas a number of times now, mostly at lunch. They have a good variety of options ranging from traditional breakfast dishes to sandwiches and chicken and waffles. And while parking downtown for lunch can be a big challenge elsewhere, Yolk has a valet service that's free (just remember to have your receipt stamped).

We took the dart and then walked there, the wait time was 45min that Sunday! So we put our names down and phone nummber, and walked to Irish pub across from it, had a nice beer! While we waited we were monitoring how many more parties to be seated before they call us on the text they sent us, which was pretty cool!. We finally walked there when 2 parties were ahead of us and we were seated in 2 min! I ordered the pot roast benedict!!! Wow the pot roast was amazingly cooked, so tender and juicy with tons of flavors, the waiter said the pot roast sandwich is amazing by it self, so defintly a great choice, it came with great potatoes too!! My friend ordered their chilaquilas but with chorizo, and it was the so yummy!!!!! Also on the side we ordered the banana nutt french toast!!! My God it tasted lime a cake so fluffy and moist with a great amount of pecans!!! Yummmmmmm!!!

Love this place for breakfast! Valet parking is free (Yolk stamps your valet ticket). The decor is sleek and modern. However, the best thing about Yolk is the food. We had the Croquet Madame and the Greek omelette. The portions were huge and the flavors were unique and delicious.

I have found my new favorite breakfast spot in downtown Dallas. It doesn't get better than Yolk for delicious breakfast food, and we didn't even try the red velvet pancakes. The variety of omelettes seems endless, the regular pancakes were fluffy, the juice was fresh squeezed and they will substitute egg whites at no extra charge. Free valet parking too. What a great find.

I've been here about five times. It's a cool vibe, very urban and just about the best location in terms of walking distance to the arts district. My honest review of the food is that it is average at best. Don't get me wrong, the menu seems amazing (especially the sweet options) and maybe I just haven't ordered the right thing yet. I've never walked away thinking "yuck, that was bad"... but I've also never walked away thinking that it was the best breakfast ever. Would definitely suggest you avoid the oatmeal... not good! Go here if you want a quick bite before walking the arts district. Don't go here if you're looking for the best breakfast in DFW.

Customer service sucks the girls up front are so rude especially the one with blonde hair Alisa it’s was party of 12 and they made us wait 2 hours and still sat us a separate at was my family first time there and it was bad service

Was staying near the area and was looking for a place to have brunch and found Yolk. Let me say that the food was simply awsome!!! Staff is very friendly and efficient!!! Dont be foolde by the “normal casual dinning “ look of the place!! It might look like that but the food is great!!! Great portions on ur plate without sacrificing quality!! Nothing bad to say about the guys or the place! Give it a shot if u are near!!

We were only in Texas a few days, but we HAD to make time to eat here twice! Everything was so so so good. From the coffee-to the food-to the service. All so good! But nothing beats those West Coast Crepes. Mmm yum!!

It's been several months since our last visit. Either this was a bad day or the restaurant has lost its identity. The omelet, actually more like a scrambled egg roll, was over cooked. The poached eggs on the eggs Benedict were also over cooked, more like a soft boiled egg. The menu changed and they deleted the serving of fruit. And the server was inattentive. Very disappointing.

I've been here twice now, and the the breakfast food is good & Texas sized. Service is friendly, and they are quick to keep your coffee refilled.

Food was fine, especially the French Toast. But my real issue is with the coffee for such an upscale menu. Half and Half was in packages, sweeteners were limited and coffee was bland. This is a problem that will probably keep me from returning.

This is definitely a hidden gem in downtown Dallas. Great food with large portions. Relaxed atmosphere and great customer service waitress Jessica was outstanding. This is a must stop!

It's located in the One Arts Plaza a really beautiful spot, we were really surprised by it, the food was plentiful and really excellent quality and taste. The omelet was delicious, and we ordered the gluten free bread which was also a treat. The server was attentive and kind. Great breakfast spot.

Good prices, friendly staff, huge portions of delicious food. Also, long lines on the weekends so, be prepared.

Very high quality ingredients, well prepared and served generally with care. Free valet parking is a plus.

great selection on brunch. I loved the eggs benny options. our server was really great. the whole staff were very friendly when they found out we were from Canada. we got great recommendations for things to do in the area as well. reasonably priced, big portions.

This place was BUSY on a Sunday. Use Yelp to get in line in advance, and know that they won’t seat you until everyone is there; we joined the line about an hour in advance for a table at noon. Once there, we were pleased with the menu options, including some amazing pancakes with Nutella, peanut butter, and bananas (Nutty Monkey - who can resist ordering a Nutty Monkey?) My husband had old-fashioned 2-egg breakfast with bacon and pancakes and gave it all a thumbs up. Friends had farm skillet and some sort of Benedict with chorizo that they quite enjoyed. I had chiliquilas, which I liked, but they had a bit too much onion. Just about everything we ordered had an up charge -extra for a side of bacon, extra for avocado added, extra for strawberries, extra for strawberry OJ which was offered as replacement for peach tea. All those extras are clearly labeled in the menu, to be fair, but they were offered so casually that it’s easy to bump your bill up pretty quickly.

Pros: Friendly service Fast service Lots of choices for savory and sweet fans alike Cons: Felt the food was average, quality you could get at an IHOP. Met a friend here for breakfast on a Saturday at 9 AM. I loved all the savory breakfast choices on the menu and chose the farmhouse: 2 eggs, biscuits with sausage gravy, and potatoes. It looked wonderful but did not finish my meal. I salted the food thinking maybe that's all it needed. I ate all my potatoes but only picked at the biscuits and eggs. In the car home, I asked my husband his opinion, and he agreed. He was let down with his corned beef hash. Actually said, "Honey, when have you ever known me NOT to finish biscuits and gravy?" "True." On the plus side, food did come out fast. Coffee was kept full. And when we had a mix up with the kids meals, the waitstaff did not hesitate to correct and brought out a little extra to apologize. And the girls did love their breakfast. I'd have to say maybe our friend had the best meal of the lot - the breakfast mac and cheese. There is free parking on the weekends; sign says 2 hour parking with restaurant validation. But all the gates were up with no one validating.

We were looking for somewhere different to have brunch on a Sunday morning and didn't want to leave the downtown area. After reading reviews here and checking out the menu, we were sold. We had about a 10 minute drive and didn't realize there was free valet parking. However, if you park in the public lot you can get your parking validated, so if you aren't comfortable with valet, then chose the garage. We arrive about 930am and from what I understand, this was the perfect time. We sat right down, there were still a few open tables around us. We immediately had coffee and our server took our order within 10 minutes. By 10am, the place was packed and there was a wait. By 11-ish when we left, the line was out the door and the take away line was huge. I would not say this was absolutely the best breakfast I have ever had. But, it was a fun place, a large menu with a variety of items, good service, and huge portions. Don't get me wrong, the food was good...but not outstanding. My daughter had the eggs Benedict and I had savory crepes. Both were enough that we could have shared and just ordered one dish. But, we certainly enjoyed it. The only negative was that when we were ready to leave, we could not get a check. Our server was so busy that once we told her we were ready for our check, we had to wait onother 15 minutes to get it. And, we felt guilty as there was such a long line and we were holding up a table. We would definitely go back.

A 10 minute wait, with cell phone notification of our table availability, was an easy gateway to a great breakfast. Service e was excellent and both egg dishes with chorizo were fantastic. That being said, the bread upgrade to cinnamon roll French toast was outstanding! Wow. You won't eat French toast again after this one. We then took the short walk to the Nasher and the DMA. Super day.

Service was slightly inattentive and food was just good. The manager was very attentive to all guess and all staff was very polite.
Wonderful food and service
Ate there three times this week because the food is so good and the service is wonderful: personal, fast, and polite. BTW the Valet parking is good too if you need to dash in and out. Yolk validates the valet parking; be sure to tip the valet generally when you arrive ... your car will be kept right by the valet stand (you all know this I'm sure). Anyway don't miss this place ... Dallas uptown. An easy walk from all the major hotels (Crown Plaza, ZaZa, etc.). I'll be back next time I'm in Dallas.
