Superb Basque food in Brickell

By Brion C |

This is an upscale Basque restaurant. It beautiful inside. Service is the best. Very attentive and knowledgeable. I sat at the bar and had the undivided attention of the bar person. Food was creative and delicious. I’m had the black cod piquillo peppers, the branzino filet with tomatoes and artichokes and the arroz con leche socarrat with ice cream for dessert. Had two good glasses of wine - a great Albariño and a great Pinot noir. They also comped me a glass of dessert wine. A super meal in a great space.

Best of 2024 so far.

Great experience from starters to dessert. High quality food and service in a very nice environment. The place deserves a Michelin star. Luis was our waiter and he did a great job. My best gastronomic encounter in Miami this year.

Trendy place but.....

By Protettovagabondo |

The place is very trendy. Impeccable customer attention. There were all the conditions for an excellent dinner enjoying specialties of Spanish cuisine. Starting with a bang: 3 pichos, one better than the other. Then a collapse: cheap catch of the day, side vegetables drowned in mediocre oil, greasy and greasy patata bravas and finally a dessert that we sent back to the sender. Too bad. If everything had been like the pinchos it would have been our favorite restaurant in Miami.

Extraordinary food. Fabulous service

One of our most memorable dining experiences ever in Miami. San Sebastián food is renowned (we went to the jazz festival there for 10 years) , and Zeru takes the tastes and combinations to a whole other level. Phenomenal food - we can’t remember the names , but the artichokes in cheese sauce, crab with ‘burnt’ rice, and crab ‘soup’ (served in a crab shell) were truly out of this world. Totally. It’s a week ago now, but my wife and I are still raving over the food. Carlos was brilliant as well. Thank you for an amazing night . We will recommend far and wide.

Just blew us away…have eaten all over Brickell and nothing else compares. Will be back 🤞❤️

Perfection❤️ the restaurant was upscale beautiful with creative top notch food to match, equivalent to a two Michelin star in Europe, Our server was the bar manager and she was great😍

Very bad experience!

Stay away from this restaurant. In addition to serving shrimp with a strong ammonia flavor, they were unable to justify the problem. When we complained, only the waitress apologized. Those responsible did not appear. The quality and origin of the products appears to be doubtful.

A slice of the Basque country in Miami

By MarkJohnson22 |

Had a wonderful dinner at Zeru, which on the ground floor of the AKA Brickell. Firstly great service from Elizabeth and a nice touch that Alejandro the General manager stopped by to see how things were. I had the pata negra and parmesan and comte and mushroom croquettes to start. Served on a wooden log and extremely tasty!! Alongside these I took a glass of Rioja - very fruity and full bodied. Then I had the dover sole fillet in butter and capers with a potato and apple cake. so well cook and unctious - served with a glass of Sauvi Blanc Then to finish the Basque cheesecake and pistachio. Ive had cheesecake at the Cas del Vin in San Sebastian and this was up there with the best!! Excellent dinner with food, service and the environment being spot on!!!

Not constant

This is our second visit to Zeru . The first time was good. The second it was horrible. We ordered the same dishes and it. Was not even close to the first time. Nothing worse then a not constant food restaurant UGH I WILL NEVER COME BACK.

Excellent food. Excess Noise and Music

Excellent food. Excessive Noise and Music. You must do something. People don't listen to live music. People want to eat. The socarrat is spectacular.

Happy customer

I have been in Lomas, Mexico at Zeru and was very happy to hear that there will be one in Miami. We live in Texas but managed to go twice now. Last time with family (6). Everybody was amazed about the food and I'm sure our local family has been back since without us. I also think the pricing for food and beverage is reasonable for the level of quality. You get what you pay for.

Tiene todo para una estrella Michelin

This was my third visit to Zeru, and it keeps blowing my mind. I’m pretty sure it’ll make its way into the Michelin Guide soon. The vibe is super polished, with people dressed up in blazers and dress shoes, and the food? Just wow. This time, we went for the Iberian ham croquettes, Galician-style octopus, seafood socarrat, and Dover sole with piquillos. Everything was spot on. The desserts were great, but honestly, a bit too creative. We tried the Chocolate Textures, Socarrat Rice Pudding (a simple dish they really overcomplicated), and the cheesecake. The wine list is solid, but no mocktails on the menu. Federico served us again, and he’s fantastic. The only downside to Zeru is that it has just one restroom per gender, which can be inconvenient. The price? Without alcohol, it’s not less than $120 per person.

High-end Basque food

Quiet place, ideal for dates very close to Brickell Avenue. Their deliciousness is endless and it is very difficult to limit yourself to two or three. The croquettes are excellent, the artichoke is very well made, we ordered a Sole fish that could be shared between 3 but the big star was the rice, which we also shared between 3 people.

Delicious fish

Treated like a rockstar

I reserved a seat at the bar under the impression that they were still offering a tasting menu. They informed me that it was discontinued, but they were kind enough to accommodate me with a multi course tasting menu nevertheless. It was really delicious and stunning to look at. I had a great time, and the staff were really informative and fun. I also did the wine pairing which was spectacular.

high quality, Spanish, upscale - worthy visit

By abmilw |

Great looking restaurant, with fun/clever food presentations. Waiter was upbeat and fun. Interesting wide menu of fish/seafood/meat/veggie with Spanish influences. We ordered a bunch of items and they were all great. Even larger items (like whole grilled fish and larger rice dish - easy to share). Nice cocktails and wine selection. Casual - biz casual dress code. Chef nice too. Glad we went and we would go back.

Fantastic

Just had dinner with our good friends George and Liz at Zeru Miami and it was absolutely fantastic. It is located right off of Brickell Avenue in an upscale condominium, a block from the bay. The restaurant is on the bottom floor of the building and has high ceilings. As you enter, you have seating areas for pre dinner drinks along with a very nice bar. The decor has an elegant chic look to it, with lots of green palms, giving it a mild tropical look. As to the food, wow… It is Spanish cuisine on a high level! We had pata negra cróquets and a Burrata salad as starters. Our main was a Dorado fish with olive oil and garlic and ended the night with this queso manchego dessert, accompanied by a scoop of ice cream, that was crazy, amazing. Their wine selection is quite extensive and very good covering several countries around the world. As to the service, again, excellent. Our waiter was extremely honest with recommendations and portions. She was constantly coming around making sure everything was to our liking. We will definitely return.

Star Worthy Spanish Fine Dining

By FredYC77 |

A legitimate dining destination for Miami. Thankfully not another one of those "impossible to get into" American red sauce chains from NYC. The cuisine is original and has authentic Spanish flavors with a little twist. Must try dishes include the fried artichokes, the croquettas, the Dover sole and the manchego cheesecake. Between the two rice dishes the soccorat is the better dish. 5 stars for pushing authentic Spanish/Basque cuisine in Miami. Wine program (like all lists in Miami) could use a little work. More affordable white and sparkling wines from France, Spain, Italy, and Greece would really make this place a Michelin 1-2 star destination for Miami. Also a missed opportunity not to include Unico for the spenders. Not quite L'Atelier (nor should it be) but definitely better than Stubborn Seed. A welcome addition to the Miami dining scene and should really deserve more attention.

Quality Spanish at a lower cost than expected

By raassad |

Excellent dinner. The atmosphere is beautiful and the menu is interesting. Due to the environment and location (brickell), the cost was lower than expected. Great pintxos (tapas). Cheese croquette with jamon, Galician octopus (exceptional), black and txangurro (a type of crab). All good, accompanied by a great albarinho and rioja served by the glass.

Delicious

The butternut squash with the mascarpone was outstanding. The potato dish with apple was so crisp and flavorful. The food overall is very good. Service is terrific thanks to Andre! He was helpful and made great suggestions.

Best restaurant in Brickell

By lgm |

Wow! What a great restaurant. Top quality ingredients, prepared deceitfully simple and great. As appetizer, get the jamon croquetas and the octopus. The squid soccarrat is just perfect. The manchego cheesecake is crazy, but when combined with the incredibly good vanilla ice cream, it all makes sense. And the service is nothing short of the best in the city. Not cheap, but worth every penny. What else could you ask for, a complimentary piece of jamon iberico and glass of wine? We got that too!
